  22. Brother Jim: Oh. My friends David and I are on the hunt for Bigfoot.

  23. Brother Jim: And yes, this is Bible bibs in a prayer.

  24. Brother Jim: But in between, we ran out.

  25. Brother Jim: Because you notice I got my Bigfoot hat on and I changed

  26. Brother Jim: into my camo.

  27. Brother Jim: We are on a mission to call the

  28. Brother Jim: man in because we want him on

  29. Brother Jim: the show.

  30. Brother Jim: We're getting closer, so make

  31. Brother Jim: sure you keep tuning in because

  32. Brother Jim: we will get him in here

  33. Brother Jim: eventually.

  34. Brother Jim: Oh friends, it is time.

  35. Brother Jim: It is time for Bible bibs and a prayer.

  36. Brother Jim: Let me and my main man.

  37. Brother Jim: We are up here.

  38. Brother Jim: As we said the other day, we had some technical difficulties so

  39. Brother Jim: we had to reshoot everything so it might get a little crazy.

  40. Brother Jim: But hey, you know what?

  41. Brother Jim: If the man decides to show up.

  42. David: We are prepared.

  43. Brother Jim: We're prepared.

  44. Brother Jim: Yeah. I'm gonna hand the bat to David and run.

  45. Brother Jim: Man, I forgot my Slim Jims.

  46. Brother Jim: We're gonna have to have a pack of Slim Jims in here.

  47. Brother Jim: A box of them, just in case.

  48. Brother Jim: Uh, yes, but.

  49. Brother Jim: Hey, welcome, welcome, welcome, everybody.

  50. Brother Jim: The boys are back in town.

  51. Brother Jim: We are ready to go.

  52. Brother Jim: And, uh, we're still fighting through some of these little

  53. Brother Jim: difficulties, but, David, he's like an old hound dog.

  54. Brother Jim: He's on the trail sniffing out the problems.

  55. Brother Jim: So if you hear him going.

  56. Brother Jim: Oh. No, he's on the trail.

  57. Brother Jim: But, uh, hey, we're glad to have you myself, David, and little

  58. Brother Jim: Ida Lee here.

  59. Brother Jim: Don't you worry, baby.

  60. Brother Jim: He won't get you.

  61. Brother Jim: I don't know, that might not be a good idea.

  62. Brother Jim: We could use her as bait.

  63. Brother Jim: I couldn't do that to Ida Lee.

  64. Brother Jim: But yes, it's time, my friends, for Bible bibs and prayer.

  65. Brother Jim: So grab that cup of coffee.

  66. Brother Jim: A little bit of jet fuel, some turbo for this Thursday morning.

  67. Brother Jim: And if you're watching this in the afternoon, you're watching

  68. Brother Jim: it late night.

  69. Brother Jim: Head on over to the old refrigerator or the cupboard.

  70. Brother Jim: Grab yourself some snacks.

  71. Brother Jim: Let us know what your favorite snacks are.

  72. Brother Jim: It doesn't just have to be

  73. Brother Jim: breakfast breakfast because we

  74. Brother Jim: are twenty four over seven on

  75. Brother Jim: this.

  76. Brother Jim: I mean, you can go back and watch old editions.

  77. Brother Jim: Uh, that's the great thing about technology, you know?

  78. Brother Jim: Yeah, but, uh, yeah, let us know what you like to snack on.

  79. Brother Jim: Now, last night I was good, David.

  80. Brother Jim: I had, uh, some raspberries and some grapes.

  81. David: That's good.

  82. Brother Jim: Yeah, that was good.

  83. Brother Jim: Yeah. Followed up by two hamburgers.

  84. Brother Jim: Not just the just the burger.

  85. Brother Jim: Just the burger protein.

  86. David: Okay.

  87. Brother Jim: Protein. Yeah. So, yeah, gotta watch this girly figure in mind.

  88. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  89. Brother Jim: Of course I'm killing myself if Bigfoot finds me.

  90. Brother Jim: Because if he had to pick between me and Brenton.

  91. Brother Jim: I think I know who's going down first.

  92. David: You got more flavor.

  93. Brother Jim: Yeah, that's where the baseball bat comes in.

  94. Brother Jim: Brenton hit you in the knee and run.

  95. Brother Jim: You're on.

  96. David: Your own.

  97. David: You don't have to be the fastest guy.

  98. David: You just have to be faster than the other guy.

  99. Brother Jim: That's right.

  100. Brother Jim: A little smarter, too.

  101. David: That's right.

  102. Brother Jim: But hey, get yourself going this morning.

  103. Brother Jim: This evening, whatever time you're joining us, and

  104. Brother Jim: especially if you're in a different time zone.

  105. Brother Jim: Hey, we would love to hear from where.

  106. Brother Jim: Now David can track.

  107. Brother Jim: People are coming in and the last time we checked, we had

  108. Brother Jim: over twenty different countries.

  109. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  110. Brother Jim: Uh, and of course, getting

  111. Brother Jim: stirred up, you know, let them

  112. Brother Jim: know.

  113. Brother Jim: And, uh, again, we would love.

  114. Brother Jim: Oh my goodness, love to have

  115. Brother Jim: somebody from another country

  116. Brother Jim: tune in, drop us some comments

  117. Brother Jim: on what's going on, what's your

  118. Brother Jim: name?

  119. Brother Jim: And we will do our best to communicate with you because

  120. Brother Jim: man, that would be sweet.

  121. Brother Jim: And maybe exchange some Bigfoot facts, you know, to help us find

  122. Brother Jim: the man, the myth, the legend.

  123. David: So we could probably even bring them in live and have them live

  124. David: remote as a game that we could we could pull that off.

  125. Brother Jim: One of my classes last year there was a dude from Fiji.

  126. Brother Jim: Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool.

  127. Brother Jim: I mean, here we are face to face time.

  128. David: Yeah.

  129. Brother Jim: In that or zooming.

  130. Brother Jim: Excuse me.

  131. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  132. Brother Jim: You know guys in Fiji.

  133. David: It's wild.

  134. Brother Jim: It is.

  135. Brother Jim: It is so, uh.

  136. Brother Jim: Yes.

  137. Brother Jim: Technology.

  138. Brother Jim: What a thing.

  139. Brother Jim: And that's what allows us to

  140. Brother Jim: come to you guys because David

  141. Brother Jim: and I, our vision is still

  142. Brother Jim: strong here.

  143. Brother Jim: You know, David brought up a

  144. Brother Jim: very important point the other

  145. Brother Jim: day.

  146. Brother Jim: What is what is our vision now?

  147. Brother Jim: Bible bibs and prayer has a pretty hard core vision.

  148. Brother Jim: And we're going to get there

  149. Brother Jim: slow and steady, but we're

  150. Brother Jim: getting there and we would love

  151. Brother Jim: to take this on the road a

  152. Brother Jim: little bit, have some fun with

  153. Brother Jim: it.

  154. Brother Jim: But figuring out time, times the big thing for us.

  155. Brother Jim: But by golly, I'm hoping this

  156. Brother Jim: year we can have some outdoor

  157. Brother Jim: events, especially doing that

  158. Brother Jim: barbecue.

  159. Brother Jim: Yep.

  160. Brother Jim: You know.

  161. David: Time, money and talent.

  162. David: If we just had those three things, we'd be.

  163. David: Oh, we.

  164. Brother Jim: Got the talent, brother.

  165. Brother Jim: We got the talent.

  166. David: I mean talent on loan from God, as I used to say.

  167. Brother Jim: But, uh, hey, you know what, friends?

  168. Brother Jim: Why should you never take sides

  169. Brother Jim: in an argument at the dinner

  170. Brother Jim: table?

  171. Brother Jim: Trick question.

  172. Brother Jim: It's perfect time to take sides

  173. Brother Jim: because no one's paying

  174. Brother Jim: attention.

  175. Brother Jim: Bring Tupperware.

  176. Brother Jim: And as we discussed the other day, I always love.

  177. Brother Jim: You know what's Methodist?

  178. Brother Jim: We love to eat.

  179. Brother Jim: Have them Sunday dinners, you know.

  180. Brother Jim: And I've always chuckled that

  181. Brother Jim: people who bring their

  182. Brother Jim: Tupperware dishes, they

  183. Brother Jim: pre-planned.

  184. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  185. Brother Jim: And as I said, you know, they got the Cool Whip they got.

  186. David: But why do they feel the need to

  187. David: put their initials on the Cool

  188. David: Whip?

  189. Brother Jim: Cool whip.

  190. David: Container.

  191. David: You can't get another one for three dollars.

  192. David: I mean, I don't get it.

  193. Brother Jim: And you know, you go to our life center.

  194. Brother Jim: God bless the women.

  195. Brother Jim: There are jam, jelly jars, spaghetti jars.

  196. Brother Jim: I mean, whoever brings that all in because it comes in handy.

  197. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  198. Brother Jim: Especially when we do soup and stuff like that.

  199. Brother Jim: I mean, you don't know what type

  200. Brother Jim: of take home tray box jar you're

  201. Brother Jim: going to get from rocks for

  202. Brother Jim: church.

  203. Brother Jim: So but yeah, I've always loved that.

  204. Brother Jim: And I was telling David there, there's this one comedian, he's

  205. Brother Jim: deceased now and he was on the crude side, but he, he was very

  206. Brother Jim: he was not politically correct.

  207. Brother Jim: And that's what I loved about him.

  208. Brother Jim: And he grew up down in Arkansas.

  209. Brother Jim: And he said, you know, we didn't have black and white down there.

  210. Brother Jim: We just had poor.

  211. Brother Jim: That was the defining, you know, poor.

  212. Brother Jim: And he said, you know, you're poor when you're eating your

  213. Brother Jim: cereal out of a Cool Whip bowl that's got spaghetti stains in

  214. Brother Jim: it, salsa stains in it.

  215. Brother Jim: And I'm like, brother, I know

  216. Brother Jim: exactly what you're talking

  217. Brother Jim: about.

  218. Brother Jim: You've got one of them special

  219. Brother Jim: dishes, you know, kind of a

  220. Brother Jim: multi-purpose.

  221. Brother Jim: We got the good dishes out tonight.

  222. David: Yeah.

  223. Brother Jim: Yes. Bring that Tupperware.

  224. Brother Jim: So in saying all that.

  225. Brother Jim: Good morning friends.

  226. Brother Jim: Good morning world.

  227. Brother Jim: Welcome to the show Late Night Edition.

  228. Brother Jim: Let's turn this from a conversation into an experience.

  229. Brother Jim: And if you're hanging with these

  230. Brother Jim: two, two cool cats and Miss Ida

  231. Brother Jim: Lee and maybe Bigfoot outside,

  232. Brother Jim: it is going to be a cool, very

  233. Brother Jim: interesting experience.

  234. Brother Jim: So, uh, what is up everyone?

  235. Brother Jim: What is going on in your world?

  236. Brother Jim: It's been a while.

  237. Brother Jim: Like four or five weeks.

  238. Brother Jim: Kind of missed you all.

  239. Brother Jim: And I'm sure you missed us.

  240. Brother Jim: So, uh, we're back.

  241. Brother Jim: Like I said, we still got some improvements to make.

  242. Brother Jim: Like, any move, as I said earlier, takes a little time.

  243. Brother Jim: And, uh, we're getting there.

  244. Brother Jim: And when it's all said and done.

  245. Brother Jim: I think you will be very impressed.

  246. Brother Jim: So impressed that you might actually not be ashamed to tell

  247. Brother Jim: your friends that you watch us.

  248. Brother Jim: But, uh, yeah, we're off and running.

  249. Brother Jim: but hey, we're up.

  250. Brother Jim: That's the main thing.

  251. Brother Jim: And everything else will just fall into place.

  252. Brother Jim: But, uh.

  253. Brother Jim: But anyway, if you think that intro was somewhat good,

  254. Brother Jim: mediocre, and you got a mediocre host, well, you just wait.

  255. Brother Jim: This is where the night even gets better.

  256. Brother Jim: Every, as I said, mediocre host.

  257. Brother Jim: They need and they desperately need a good co-host.

  258. Brother Jim: And lucky for you, I tell you what, he's right up there with

  259. Brother Jim: Bob Uecker, color commentator.

  260. Brother Jim: You got a great one in this, man.

  261. Brother Jim: And as I've said before, you know what?

  262. Brother Jim: I'm feeling so emotional right now.

  263. Brother Jim: I'm gonna take my hat off for you, David.

  264. Brother Jim: He is a man among men.

  265. Brother Jim: He has a face that only a mother could love.

  266. Brother Jim: He goes around kissing babies,

  267. Brother Jim: shaking hands, and getting

  268. Brother Jim: little kitty cats down out of

  269. Brother Jim: trees.

  270. Brother Jim: And he's pretty good on the old grill, too.

  271. Brother Jim: The moment that you've all been waiting for.

  272. Brother Jim: The one, the only Mr. David Keener, and.

  273. Brother Jim: Oh, don't you dare, dare, dare forget.

  274. Brother Jim: Plus, he's one of my very best friends in the whole wide world.

  275. Brother Jim: Good morning.

  276. Brother Jim: Good evening, my friend.

  277. David: Good morning.

  278. David: Good evening.

  279. David: Well, you know, you talked about technical issues here, and it's

  280. David: this kind of stuff that just makes me pull my hair out.

  281. David: Nothing makes sense.

  282. David: Oh. Nothing changed.

  283. David: It was moved it from one room to another room.

  284. David: And now the audio cuts out.

  285. David: So we had a little bit of that on Tuesday.

  286. David: I've tried a couple things.

  287. David: Hopefully this one will be better.

  288. David: But I did want to mention though that, you know, we were busy

  289. David: while we were off.

  290. David: I don't know if people saw, but we were in the Olympics.

  291. David: We did bobsledding.

  292. Brother Jim: And we were tearing it up.

  293. David: And we've got we watched it again.

  294. David: Yeah we won.

  295. David: We won fifty second place in bobsledding.

  296. Brother Jim: And it was like sixty teams.

  297. David: Yeah, well, probably fifty one, but.

  298. Brother Jim: Well, I was hoping you were

  299. Brother Jim: going to say if you couldn't

  300. Brother Jim: make it.

  301. Brother Jim: Did you see?

  302. Brother Jim: Was it the American bobsledder

  303. Brother Jim: that the whole team fell out

  304. Brother Jim: except for the the one in the

  305. Brother Jim: front?

  306. David: I did see.

  307. Brother Jim: That.

  308. David: Nice. That's. Yeah. That's something we would have done.

  309. Brother Jim: So yeah.

  310. Brother Jim: I keep going back to that great movie Cool Runnings, man.

  311. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

  312. Brother Jim: Great.

  313. Brother Jim: Late John Candy, the Jamaican bobsled.

  314. David: They had them on the Olympics.

  315. David: The Jamaicans were there.

  316. David: Yeah.

  317. Brother Jim: Great movie.

  318. Brother Jim: But yeah.

  319. Brother Jim: Uh, yeah, man.

  320. Brother Jim: Maybe we can find it in the budget to go to Jamaica.

  321. David: That'd be nice.

  322. Brother Jim: Interview some of them guys.

  323. Brother Jim: I mean, I'm sure they're still around.

  324. David: Oh, yeah.

  325. Brother Jim: Yeah, that would be kind of cool.

  326. Brother Jim: Yep.

  327. Brother Jim: Yes.

  328. Brother Jim: But, boy, I don't know.

  329. Brother Jim: Oh, yes.

  330. Brother Jim: David has kept us busy with those comical, comical videos.

  331. Brother Jim: I mean, how much did you win on, uh, just.

  332. David: Not much on the final round.

  333. David: I bet the bet the bank and just.

  334. David: Yeah, it went out the window, so.

  335. Brother Jim: Yeah, but I mean, we had jeopardy.

  336. Brother Jim: Of course we had the Super Bowl with us.

  337. Brother Jim: Just man, I thought I looked like Walter Payton running

  338. Brother Jim: across there for a little bit.

  339. David: I had us on The Price is Right.

  340. David: So good.

  341. David: So we kind of had.

  342. Brother Jim: The whole home improvement thing.

  343. David: That was great.

  344. David: Yeah.

  345. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

  346. Brother Jim: The that was just it's.

  347. David: Funny what you can do with AI.

  348. Brother Jim: And we got more coming.

  349. Brother Jim: Yeah. Because just to give you a little preview, uh, and you

  350. Brother Jim: know, Teemu, you can get a lot.

  351. Brother Jim: I haven't done it yet, but you

  352. Brother Jim: get a lot of nice junk, decent

  353. Brother Jim: stuff on there for a cheap

  354. Brother Jim: price.

  355. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  356. David: It's like the online harbor freight.

  357. Brother Jim: Yes. But, uh, you know what?

  358. Brother Jim: Some nice things come out of

  359. Brother Jim: there, but we've got another

  360. Brother Jim: background set.

  361. Brother Jim: Yeah, man, it is going to be

  362. Brother Jim: you're going to want to get on

  363. Brother Jim: your swimming trunks and sit

  364. Brother Jim: with us.

  365. Brother Jim: Let me just say that because

  366. Brother Jim: we've got a ton of comedy coming

  367. Brother Jim: to, you know, just those little

  368. Brother Jim: pick me ups to get you through

  369. Brother Jim: the day.

  370. Brother Jim: So, uh, again, a lot of things planned here.

  371. Brother Jim: Uh, I know we keep saying that, but again, folks, it just takes

  372. Brother Jim: time and money.

  373. Brother Jim: And, uh, it's really just the two of us here.

  374. David: On a, on an eight dollar budget.

  375. Brother Jim: Yeah. And that doesn't even

  376. Brother Jim: cover our, uh, McDonald's drive

  377. Brother Jim: thru.

  378. Brother Jim: Uh, of course we got to get pig feed.

  379. Brother Jim: That's right, little idol.

  380. Brother Jim: Lee here.

  381. Brother Jim: So, uh, big plans for the weekend.

  382. David: I think I've got a week off from birthday party, so I think we're

  383. David: good there for a little bit.

  384. David: That's good.

  385. David: No, I don't have anything going

  386. David: on for this weekend that I know

  387. David: of.

  388. David: So.

  389. Brother Jim: Uh, I think I'm taking Ellie out

  390. Brother Jim: Friday night to Dave and

  391. Brother Jim: Buster's.

  392. Brother Jim: I've been trying to do that.

  393. David: That's fun.

  394. David: That's expensive, but that's fun.

  395. Brother Jim: It is.

  396. Brother Jim: We went about a month and a half ago, and it was a blast.

  397. Brother Jim: First time I ever been there and the food was excellent.

  398. David: It was really good.

  399. Brother Jim: I was shocked.

  400. Brother Jim: I mean, and that, uh, that sauce they bring out for, uh, we got

  401. Brother Jim: the hot dogs and the crescent rolls as an appetizer.

  402. Brother Jim: Some kind of honey.

  403. Brother Jim: Yeah, whatever.

  404. Brother Jim: But it had a little heat to it.

  405. David: Mhm.

  406. Brother Jim: I mean, I said, you guys need to bottle this.

  407. Brother Jim: It's that good.

  408. Brother Jim: Kind of like yum, yum sauce for when you go to the.

  409. David: Yeah.

  410. Brother Jim: Not like yum yum sauce, but you just you can't get enough of it.

  411. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  412. Brother Jim: So but no, I was very impressed with the the food.

  413. David: Yeah, I've been there a long

  414. David: time, but I remember it was

  415. David: really good last time I was

  416. David: there.

  417. Brother Jim: And it's expensive.

  418. David: Too. Yeah. Yeah.

  419. Brother Jim: But once in a while, you know, and you got to have that time,

  420. Brother Jim: you know, because she's growing up so quick and, you know, a

  421. Brother Jim: shout out to Ellie.

  422. Brother Jim: Um, I, I'm gonna take a minute

  423. Brother Jim: here or I, I don't want to cut

  424. Brother Jim: you off.

  425. Brother Jim: Anything else?

  426. David: No, sir. No. You're good.

  427. David: Go right ahead.

  428. Brother Jim: Get online.

  429. Brother Jim: Check us out.

  430. Brother Jim: Under his abilities, last

  431. Brother Jim: Friday, we kicked off his

  432. Brother Jim: abilities.

  433. Brother Jim: It's a new ministry we started.

  434. Brother Jim: Uh, one lady in particular,

  435. Brother Jim: Kelly, had this calling to do a

  436. Brother Jim: ministry for special needs

  437. Brother Jim: adults.

  438. Brother Jim: And it went well for our grand opening.

  439. Brother Jim: And, uh, the whole theme behind

  440. Brother Jim: it for the first four series,

  441. Brother Jim: and I got to tell you, this is

  442. Brother Jim: all scripture based, which is

  443. Brother Jim: great.

  444. Brother Jim: It's wrestling, wrestling with God.

  445. Brother Jim: And in this group of very beautiful people, you got a lot

  446. Brother Jim: of pro wrestling fans.

  447. Brother Jim: So I'm a sucker for Embarrassment.

  448. Brother Jim: Well, in any good promo like

  449. Brother Jim: that, you gotta have the real

  450. Brother Jim: deal, right?

  451. David: Sure.

  452. Brother Jim: So one thing leads to another.

  453. Brother Jim: Kind of like David and I, we

  454. Brother Jim: just start building off of each

  455. Brother Jim: other's ideas.

  456. Brother Jim: I think it's a dude thing, you know?

  457. David: Yeah.

  458. Brother Jim: Before you knew it, not your man was born now and not yo, man.

  459. Brother Jim: So I got on Amazon and ordered a gold cape, had a yellow do rag

  460. Brother Jim: on my head.

  461. Brother Jim: Wristbands armband or the, uh, elbow protectors.

  462. Brother Jim: Pretty similar to wrestling boots.

  463. Brother Jim: And I had the Nacho man shirt

  464. Brother Jim: and, uh, let's just say it was

  465. Brother Jim: the bomb.

  466. Brother Jim: We had signs made up, and I gave them to some people, and I came

  467. Brother Jim: out to music, of course.

  468. Brother Jim: Did a couple twirly birds, you know, which, thank God I didn't

  469. Brother Jim: get dizzy and take out somebody.

  470. Brother Jim: And I tried my best with that deep, heavy voice, but I took up

  471. Brother Jim: a thing of nacho cheese with me.

  472. Brother Jim: And, uh, one of the ladies, Barbie from church, she was

  473. Brother Jim: jumping up and down because my competitor was, uh, Senor Salsa.

  474. Brother Jim: And she had a thing up brewing

  475. Brother Jim: the Nacho man or something about

  476. Brother Jim: Senor Salsa.

  477. Brother Jim: And I wanted to rip that sign up.

  478. Brother Jim: And kids were just going wild

  479. Brother Jim: and they're like, whoa, this is

  480. Brother Jim: awesome.

  481. Brother Jim: Doing a lot of woo and, uh, even got the chair out.

  482. Brother Jim: David.

  483. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

  484. Brother Jim: When Salsa Man came out, I grabbed the chair.

  485. Brother Jim: He was gonna lay one into him, but, uh, what a great time.

  486. Brother Jim: And, uh, my daughter Ellie, who's been on here before, she

  487. Brother Jim: has her Bible ministry.

  488. Brother Jim: She gave out thirteen Bibles that night, fifteen for the

  489. Brother Jim: week, but thirteen right there.

  490. Brother Jim: And this young.

  491. Brother Jim: Well, he's not young.

  492. Brother Jim: He's fifty.

  493. Brother Jim: This dude's a heck of a drum player.

  494. Brother Jim: And he comes up and he's so proud.

  495. Brother Jim: Jason's his name.

  496. Brother Jim: And, uh, he had his new Bible and he's like, hey, can you show

  497. Brother Jim: me some scriptures on that?

  498. Brother Jim: So I got him set up there and he's like, man, I'm going home

  499. Brother Jim: tonight and read that.

  500. Brother Jim: And I tell you, David, that just that's awesome.

  501. Brother Jim: One for my daughter.

  502. Brother Jim: Yep.

  503. Brother Jim: You know, I can't help it.

  504. Brother Jim: It just moves my heart.

  505. Brother Jim: Thirteen in doing this, but then

  506. Brother Jim: this dude that just I'm like,

  507. Brother Jim: yeah, this is what it's all

  508. Brother Jim: about.

  509. Brother Jim: Yep.

  510. Brother Jim: But them young adults and their co or their, uh, uh, what's the

  511. Brother Jim: word I want?

  512. Brother Jim: Uh, people that take helpers take care of.

  513. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  514. Brother Jim: You know, some of them had to.

  515. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  516. Brother Jim: And family, I mean, they just enjoyed it.

  517. Brother Jim: And we did, uh, photo ops with them, you know, and that's when

  518. Brother Jim: I really got to shine there, you know, but, uh, it was great.

  519. Brother Jim: So, uh, we got that coming up at

  520. Brother Jim: the end of the month again,

  521. Brother Jim: it'll be on usually every other

  522. Brother Jim: Friday night.

  523. Brother Jim: But if you get a chance, if you feel a calling, you want to

  524. Brother Jim: check us out.

  525. Brother Jim: Some of it's on Facebook.

  526. Brother Jim: They're under his abilities.

  527. Brother Jim: And, uh, I shot one to David to

  528. Brother Jim: try to get it uploaded here

  529. Brother Jim: sometime.

  530. Brother Jim: Uh, because you get the full, you know.

  531. David: Yeah.

  532. Brother Jim: Intro and everything.

  533. Brother Jim: Yeah. But, uh.

  534. Brother Jim: One day I'll have to wear it.

  535. David: There you go.

  536. Brother Jim: Yeah. As soon as it dries out.

  537. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  538. Brother Jim: I'm going to watch him.

  539. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  540. Brother Jim: Well, I had somebody, right.

  541. Brother Jim: Nacho man on the the do rag with red marker.

  542. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  543. Brother Jim: Well, by the time I hit the or hit the outside, I was so wet it

  544. Brother Jim: had turned into a tie dye shirt or hat, so.

  545. Brother Jim: Oh, we've got all kinds of other things planned.

  546. Brother Jim: I mean, it's just.

  547. Brother Jim: But again, I think you get you

  548. Brother Jim: get more from it than what you

  549. Brother Jim: give.

  550. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  551. Brother Jim: Really.

  552. Brother Jim: You're walking away if you don't have a smile on your face, if

  553. Brother Jim: you don't have joy in your heart, then you're dead inside.

  554. Brother Jim: I'm just going to be blunt on that one.

  555. Brother Jim: But, uh, anyway, how about you folks?

  556. Brother Jim: What's your big plans for the weekend?

  557. Brother Jim: Anything spicy going on?

  558. Brother Jim: Anything fun?

  559. Brother Jim: Or is it going to be another boring weekend?

  560. Brother Jim: You know, uh, I don't know, uh, March Madness going on?

  561. David: Uh. that's college basketball.

  562. David: I'm not sure when that starts, to be honest with you.

  563. David: I'm not a college basketball fan, but.

  564. Brother Jim: Yeah, I used to be.

  565. Brother Jim: And then.

  566. Brother Jim: But, uh.

  567. Brother Jim: Yeah, let us know what you got going on.

  568. Brother Jim: Peg.

  569. Brother Jim: Abraham.

  570. Brother Jim: What you got going?

  571. Brother Jim: Probably.

  572. Brother Jim: David said that, Peg, not us.

  573. Brother Jim: Okay.

  574. Brother Jim: Got the green.

  575. David: Got the green visor on.

  576. Brother Jim: You know, for a little percentage, we'll kind of

  577. Brother Jim: advertise that for you.

  578. Brother Jim: I could see Peg.

  579. Brother Jim: She's got two big dudes at the door.

  580. Brother Jim: Bouncers.

  581. Brother Jim: You know.

  582. David: This is what you get on late night, folks.

  583. Brother Jim: Oh. Uh. Alrighty then.

  584. Brother Jim: Uh, a week has almost come to an end.

  585. Brother Jim: Friends.

  586. Brother Jim: What have you done to make this past week?

  587. Brother Jim: To make a difference in God's kingdom?

  588. Brother Jim: The weekend is almost here.

  589. Brother Jim: What you gonna do?

  590. Brother Jim: What you gonna do, what you

  591. Brother Jim: going to do for God and his

  592. Brother Jim: kingdom?

  593. Brother Jim: Start doing cops.

  594. Brother Jim: Uh. So, uh, you know what?

  595. Brother Jim: It's time to saddle up.

  596. Brother Jim: There we go.

  597. Brother Jim: Proper riding attire.

  598. Brother Jim: Time to saddle up and let's hit

  599. Brother Jim: that brand new weekend trail

  600. Brother Jim: together.

  601. Brother Jim: Come on.

  602. Brother Jim: We're almost there.

  603. Brother Jim: You can do it.

  604. Brother Jim: My friend's finish line is going to be coming up, and then we're

  605. Brother Jim: into the weekend.

  606. Brother Jim: You're almost there, and you know what I mean?

  607. Brother Jim: You start looking ahead.

  608. Brother Jim: I mean, Palm Sunday is going to be here before we know it.

  609. Brother Jim: And, uh, Easter Sunday and then we're off and running, you know,

  610. Brother Jim: Good Friday, Easter Sunday.

  611. Brother Jim: It's just like, where is the time going?

  612. David: So we'll be bagging leaves before you know it.

  613. David: Oh.

  614. Brother Jim: I had it today.

  615. Brother Jim: If it wasn't so wet to get the

  616. Brother Jim: mower out, at least run over the

  617. Brother Jim: front lawn.

  618. Brother Jim: But, uh, I'm trying to practice restraint on that, you know?

  619. Brother Jim: Uh. Oh my goodness.

  620. Brother Jim: So, uh, how about you guys got

  621. Brother Jim: anything planned for the yards,

  622. Brother Jim: you know.

  623. Brother Jim: Uh, gardens.

  624. Brother Jim: I think Brother Jim's going to

  625. Brother Jim: put in some plants this year

  626. Brother Jim: considering food prices and

  627. Brother Jim: everything.

  628. David: Yeah. Really?

  629. Brother Jim: Yes. Uh, yeah.

  630. Brother Jim: Who knows?

  631. Brother Jim: As we talking about goats there.

  632. Brother Jim: The last episode, if things get too bad.

  633. David: Yeah, they may be mowing your lawn for you.

  634. Brother Jim: I was thinking going on spit.

  635. Brother Jim: Uh, nah.

  636. Brother Jim: We pray don't get that bad.

  637. Brother Jim: Geez.

  638. Brother Jim: Uh, but you know what?

  639. Brother Jim: A couple went to the courthouse

  640. Brother Jim: County courthouse to get a

  641. Brother Jim: marriage license.

  642. Brother Jim: They accidentally walked into

  643. Brother Jim: the office that handed out

  644. Brother Jim: hunting license.

  645. Brother Jim: We said the prospective groom.

  646. Brother Jim: Can we get a license?

  647. Brother Jim: The clerk replied, no, but I can give you a three days.

  648. Brother Jim: And you know, Dave and I was talking about that too.

  649. Brother Jim: I wouldn't be such a bad idea.

  650. David: I think there should be a test or a test something.

  651. Brother Jim: And I think like a thirty day trial period.

  652. Brother Jim: If you don't like it, bring them back.

  653. Brother Jim: No refund.

  654. David: But I said one time, this is completely off of that.

  655. David: But I got in an argument one time with a with a friend, and I

  656. David: was being kind of serious, but not totally serious.

  657. David: I said, you know, you should be required to pass a test in order

  658. David: to vote because we have a lot of uneducated people take the five

  659. David: minutes to educate themselves.

  660. David: They just go pull the lever.

  661. David: And he's like, well, how can you say that everybody should have

  662. David: the right to vote.

  663. David: Yes they should.

  664. David: However, if you're going to take the civil responsibility to

  665. David: vote, take the time to educate yourself on the topics.

  666. Brother Jim: Educate yourself on who is the best candidate, what is the best

  667. Brother Jim: policy coming up.

  668. Brother Jim: You know this tax and you see tax.

  669. Brother Jim: Well that's an automatic no. But

  670. Brother Jim: maybe there might be good in

  671. Brother Jim: that.

  672. Brother Jim: You know take the time or levy.

  673. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  674. Brother Jim: You know you never know at least at least read the do a little

  675. Brother Jim: bit of homework.

  676. David: Yeah.

  677. Brother Jim: And I'm just going to say it, I don't care.

  678. Brother Jim: You got the New York mayor requiring, what was it?

  679. Brother Jim: Seven different forms of ID just

  680. Brother Jim: to shovel snow when they got hit

  681. Brother Jim: here.

  682. David: I mean, it required any form of shovel.

  683. David: Snow is just ridiculous.

  684. David: But.

  685. Brother Jim: Yeah, and I'm just saying it.

  686. Brother Jim: I mean, come on.

  687. Brother Jim: The our voting system.

  688. Brother Jim: I'm sorry you can agree or disagree with me, but it's so

  689. Brother Jim: out of whack anymore.

  690. Brother Jim: There's just too many.

  691. David: Too many variables.

  692. Brother Jim: Too many variables and oopses.

  693. Brother Jim: Yeah. You know, and, uh, yeah,

  694. Brother Jim: but I just thought that was

  695. Brother Jim: crazy.

  696. Brother Jim: Crazy.

  697. Brother Jim: And I couldn't help but think.

  698. Brother Jim: What about all the liability?

  699. David: Yeah.

  700. Brother Jim: How many heart attacks happened?

  701. David: Right?

  702. David: No kidding.

  703. Brother Jim: Or slips?

  704. Brother Jim: Broken hips, you know.

  705. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  706. Brother Jim: How many shovels got taken?

  707. Brother Jim: Oh, what's this country coming to?

  708. Brother Jim: I tell you, but, uh.

  709. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  710. Brother Jim: And I honestly think to to have a baby, you know?

  711. Brother Jim: You know, one of the most precious, greatest gifts a

  712. Brother Jim: person can have.

  713. Brother Jim: Uh, and oh, my Lord, what have we done?

  714. Brother Jim: It just.

  715. Brother Jim: And it breaks my heart for the ones who would be good mom and

  716. Brother Jim: dads that can't have children.

  717. Brother Jim: Yes.

  718. Brother Jim: And then you got the one who's, hey, we're after dark ones who

  719. Brother Jim: are struggling with mental or, um, drug problems or, you know.

  720. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  721. Brother Jim: Not living a healthy lifestyle per se with, uh, illegal

  722. Brother Jim: substances and they're popping out kids right and left.

  723. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  724. Brother Jim: Who suffers from that?

  725. David: Yeah. Well, the kids do.

  726. Brother Jim: The kids do, but yet also the taxpayers do.

  727. Brother Jim: And again, the kids first, always the kids.

  728. Brother Jim: But it's just so sad.

  729. Brother Jim: And then the grandparents and the great grandparents who have

  730. Brother Jim: to raise these children.

  731. David: Yeah.

  732. Brother Jim: It's it's not right.

  733. Brother Jim: So again, but if we would go back to the Word of God and do

  734. Brother Jim: it the way God says to do it.

  735. Brother Jim: We wouldn't have that problem, right?

  736. Brother Jim: Wouldn't have that problem.

  737. Brother Jim: So. All right.

  738. Brother Jim: Today, your appearance may impress people, but your heart

  739. Brother Jim: is what matters to God.

  740. Brother Jim: Kind of sounds a little bit of what we were talking about.

  741. Brother Jim: Uh, Tuesday night there.

  742. Brother Jim: Ah, now we're going to talk about our outward appearance.

  743. Brother Jim: Outward appearance.

  744. Brother Jim: One of the most important teachings in the Bible is what

  745. Brother Jim: God is, that while God looks at the heart, are outward lives

  746. Brother Jim: should reflect our inward faith.

  747. Brother Jim: So first off, we submit to God.

  748. Brother Jim: We repent of our sins.

  749. Brother Jim: We ask Jesus Christ to come in as our Lord and Savior.

  750. Brother Jim: Transformation starts now.

  751. Brother Jim: The transformation starts from the inside.

  752. Brother Jim: But it should.

  753. Brother Jim: It should if we're doing it right.

  754. Brother Jim: Come to the out.

  755. Brother Jim: And you know that's a compliment a Christian can get is from like

  756. Brother Jim: one of his old buddies.

  757. Brother Jim: Dude, what happened to you, man?

  758. Brother Jim: You've changed, you know, now

  759. Brother Jim: Critique or that can come in bad

  760. Brother Jim: critique.

  761. Brother Jim: Whatever, I don't care.

  762. Brother Jim: You know, I am who I am.

  763. Brother Jim: Still the same dude.

  764. Brother Jim: But I've changed.

  765. Brother Jim: You know, I'm still Jim.

  766. Brother Jim: You know, still love you.

  767. Brother Jim: But I'm living a different lifestyle now.

  768. Brother Jim: I'm living for somebody.

  769. Brother Jim: I'm not living for me.

  770. Brother Jim: I'm not living for this world.

  771. Brother Jim: I'm living for God.

  772. Brother Jim: And for Samuel sixteen seven.

  773. Brother Jim: The Bible says people look at the outward appearance, but the

  774. Brother Jim: Lord looks at the heart.

  775. Brother Jim: Uh, that was from our last one there.

  776. Brother Jim: This reminds us that the heart is what matters most to God is

  777. Brother Jim: in our hearts.

  778. Brother Jim: Will eventually show on the outside.

  779. Brother Jim: Huh?

  780. Brother Jim: Now let's think about that.

  781. Brother Jim: What would be an example?

  782. Brother Jim: How about there's always a good one?

  783. David: Yeah.

  784. Brother Jim: You know, one of those guys throwing stuff.

  785. Brother Jim: You ever throw something, David, out of anger?

  786. David: Oh, plenty of times.

  787. Brother Jim: Ah, yes.

  788. Brother Jim: You bust your wrench or knuckles on a wrench, and that wrench

  789. Brother Jim: goes flying, and usually the wrench hits something.

  790. Brother Jim: Then you broke something.

  791. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  792. Brother Jim: So you never win?

  793. Brother Jim: Yep.

  794. Brother Jim: Not saying it still doesn't happen once in a while, but that

  795. Brother Jim: anger is a lot calmer.

  796. Brother Jim: Not throwing stuff.

  797. Brother Jim: Not, you know, being a knucklehead.

  798. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  799. Brother Jim: Do I get angry?

  800. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  801. Brother Jim: When something frustrated more.

  802. Brother Jim: Yep.

  803. Brother Jim: Just frustrated.

  804. Brother Jim: Like, seriously?

  805. Brother Jim: Just like tonight.

  806. Brother Jim: It's it's not like we're going to die for over this.

  807. Brother Jim: Right?

  808. Brother Jim: But it's frustrating.

  809. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  810. Brother Jim: You know, but again, not song, you know?

  811. Brother Jim: Oh, be careful what you say.

  812. Brother Jim: Little ears are hearing what you do.

  813. Brother Jim: Little eyes are watching, you know.

  814. Brother Jim: And kids are so smart.

  815. Brother Jim: And they pick up on everything.

  816. David: They sure do.

  817. Brother Jim: Yes. And about the time they hear Daddy or mommy, you know,

  818. Brother Jim: say slip and say something.

  819. Brother Jim: And then they bring it up in conversation, not knowing.

  820. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  821. Brother Jim: Who's going to be wearing egg on their face?

  822. Brother Jim: Yep.

  823. Brother Jim: So, uh, yes, a godly outward

  824. Brother Jim: appearance is not about pride,

  825. Brother Jim: fashion, or trying to impress

  826. Brother Jim: people.

  827. Brother Jim: Instead, it Instead is about living in a way that honors God.

  828. Brother Jim: Now, David and I, you touched on that.

  829. Brother Jim: You really try to impress people anymore?

  830. David: No, no, I mean, great answer.

  831. David: There's there's there's there's a time and a place like when

  832. David: you're at work, you know, you can't just let her fly.

  833. David: You know, you gotta, you gotta

  834. David: maintain a certain form of

  835. David: decorum.

  836. David: But beyond.

  837. David: Yes, beyond that, I'm, you know,

  838. David: I'm, I'm closer to fifty than I

  839. David: am forty.

  840. David: And with me, it's just what you get is what you get.

  841. Brother Jim: Exactly.

  842. Brother Jim: But you, when you answered that

  843. Brother Jim: earlier, you hit it right on the

  844. Brother Jim: head.

  845. Brother Jim: There's a time and a place.

  846. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  847. Brother Jim: And especially at work.

  848. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  849. Brother Jim: You know, you can't come in and.

  850. Brother Jim: Dude, that was awesome.

  851. Brother Jim: You know, when you're coming in, you know, from the clothes you

  852. Brother Jim: wore two days ago.

  853. David: Talking to the CEO.

  854. Brother Jim: Yeah. Yeah, exactly.

  855. Brother Jim: So there is a time to taking, you know, take pride in how you

  856. Brother Jim: appear, you know?

  857. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  858. Brother Jim: There's situations.

  859. Brother Jim: Situational awareness, uh, and

  860. Brother Jim: trying to impress people that

  861. Brother Jim: went out the door a long time

  862. Brother Jim: ago.

  863. Brother Jim: You know, I'm more worried that my big thing is, am I being am I

  864. Brother Jim: allowing God to use me to use what he gives me to do a sermon,

  865. Brother Jim: to talk to people?

  866. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  867. Brother Jim: You know that it how do you you want to do a good job, right?

  868. Brother Jim: But it's not for you.

  869. David: Yeah.

  870. Brother Jim: You're representing God, the kingdom.

  871. Brother Jim: And to me, there's a huge difference there, right?

  872. Brother Jim: But I'm also the first to say

  873. Brother Jim: that you want to put a smile on

  874. Brother Jim: my face.

  875. Brother Jim: Man, that was a good message, dude.

  876. David: Yeah.

  877. Brother Jim: Again, it's not.

  878. Brother Jim: And it's.

  879. Brother Jim: Well, praise God for that, right?

  880. Brother Jim: At least somebody was listening.

  881. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  882. Brother Jim: You know, you're probably like,

  883. Brother Jim: uh, the practice players on the

  884. Brother Jim: NFL.

  885. Brother Jim: You know, maybe a couple of them

  886. Brother Jim: get dressed to come up for the

  887. Brother Jim: Super Bowl.

  888. David: Mhm.

  889. Brother Jim: You know, it's like you really didn't do anything, but you're

  890. Brother Jim: still part of the team.

  891. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  892. Brother Jim: Through your actions, you helped the team get ready.

  893. Brother Jim: So that's how I see it.

  894. Brother Jim: So you win the Super Bowl.

  895. Brother Jim: You're part of that.

  896. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  897. Brother Jim: We're going to celebrate.

  898. Brother Jim: Sure.

  899. Brother Jim: One lost soul comes to Christ.

  900. Brother Jim: We're going to celebrate.

  901. Brother Jim: I mean, look at the angels.

  902. Brother Jim: What they do.

  903. Brother Jim: It's in heaven when one lost soul comes.

  904. Brother Jim: So yeah, I don't think there's me personally.

  905. Brother Jim: I don't see anything wrong in it that it makes me feel good being

  906. Brother Jim: used by God, right?

  907. Brother Jim: I'm just like one.

  908. Brother Jim: I'm the monkey wrench in the toolbox, you know, or whatever.

  909. Brother Jim: Uh, but, uh, living, living in a way that honors God, the way we

  910. Brother Jim: dress, speak, act, and treat others should reflect that we

  911. Brother Jim: belong to Christ.

  912. Brother Jim: So in saying that, you're never

  913. Brother Jim: going to get Brother Jim in a

  914. Brother Jim: pair of jeans or, uh, Spanx or,

  915. Brother Jim: I don't know, is that a girl

  916. Brother Jim: thing?

  917. Brother Jim: Spanx.

  918. David: I think they may have male versions of Spanx, too.

  919. David: Yeah.

  920. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah, turtlenecks.

  921. Brother Jim: Forget about it.

  922. Brother Jim: Um, I usually try to dumb down a lot of my words because I'm

  923. Brother Jim: getting in there.

  924. Brother Jim: Send them in.

  925. Brother Jim: Synonyms.

  926. Brother Jim: Synonyms.

  927. Brother Jim: Synonyms.

  928. David: Easy for you to say.

  929. Brother Jim: Yeah. Uh, I use that a lot too, because.

  930. Brother Jim: Okay.

  931. Brother Jim: I want to understand this so I

  932. Brother Jim: can explain it better because

  933. Brother Jim: there's a lot of big words out

  934. Brother Jim: there.

  935. Brother Jim: Oh yeah.

  936. Brother Jim: And it's like, okay, this isn't me.

  937. Brother Jim: And I imagine the congregation be like, who's this guy?

  938. Brother Jim: You know?

  939. Brother Jim: Yeah, keep it simple.

  940. Brother Jim: Keep it stupid, you know?

  941. Brother Jim: Kiss.

  942. Brother Jim: Yep.

  943. Brother Jim: Carrie hates that, but it is.

  944. Brother Jim: Keep it simple.

  945. Brother Jim: Keep it stupid.

  946. Brother Jim: Because to me, relatability.

  947. Brother Jim: Relatability.

  948. Brother Jim: Now, David could come in here

  949. Brother Jim: and blow me away with all his

  950. Brother Jim: tech talk, and I wouldn't have

  951. Brother Jim: any idea what he's talking

  952. Brother Jim: about.

  953. Brother Jim: So David dumbs it down for me.

  954. Brother Jim: So, uh.

  955. Brother Jim: Yeah, not saying that I don't.

  956. Brother Jim: That's a bad way for me to say that for church.

  957. Brother Jim: Being relatable, using words that people understand.

  958. David: Well, you don't want to relate.

  959. David: Yeah.

  960. David: You don't want to talk.

  961. David: You know, above people like look at Those people who are dumber

  962. David: than you are.

  963. David: Yeah.

  964. Brother Jim: So and I said, everybody knows

  965. Brother Jim: I'm a couple fries short of a

  966. Brother Jim: Happy meal.

  967. Brother Jim: So you know, I got that going for me at least.

  968. Brother Jim: Uh, but yeah, the way we dress,

  969. Brother Jim: speak, act now, I'm sure some

  970. Brother Jim: people, you know, wearing the

  971. Brother Jim: Bigfoot hat.

  972. Brother Jim: Oh my goodness, that could create a bunch of controversy.

  973. Brother Jim: I can hear a couple passes right now.

  974. Brother Jim: It's fun for us.

  975. Brother Jim: It's just our thing.

  976. Brother Jim: Yep.

  977. Brother Jim: You know, and I never bring that

  978. Brother Jim: into biblical or anything like

  979. Brother Jim: that.

  980. Brother Jim: It's just our thing.

  981. Brother Jim: My wife and I, you know, and our

  982. Brother Jim: grandson now, uh, we have fun

  983. Brother Jim: with it.

  984. Brother Jim: Now, if I ever felt that it would be leading, you know, to

  985. Brother Jim: something demonic or anything like that, then no, we kibosh

  986. Brother Jim: it, but it's just fun.

  987. Brother Jim: Um. So, uh, the way we treat others.

  988. Brother Jim: There we go, David.

  989. Brother Jim: How we treat others.

  990. Brother Jim: And that's probably one of the toughest ones we face in life.

  991. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  992. Brother Jim: We're commanded to love our neighbor.

  993. Speaker 2: Who is bad.

  994. Brother Jim: There are times I love this porcelain pig idly more than I

  995. Brother Jim: do people sometimes now.

  996. Brother Jim: And I've struggled with that.

  997. Brother Jim: And I've come to the point, yeah, I love them.

  998. Brother Jim: Do anything for you, but I don't really like who you are and what

  999. Brother Jim: what you represent.

  1000. Brother Jim: Yeah.

1001. Brother Jim: And that's how I take it.

1002. Brother Jim: You know, either love me or hate me.

  1003. Brother Jim: It's just.

1004. Brother Jim: We don't have to put up with the nonsense, right?

1005. Brother Jim: Yeah, you don't have to.

1006. Brother Jim: Yeah, I can still.

1007. Brother Jim: I love you, man, but I just.

1008. Brother Jim: I'll be honest.

1009. Brother Jim: There's some people I don't even want to be around.

1010. Brother Jim: Yeah, because there's such a negative, you know.

1011. Brother Jim: Just a negative flow of energy.

1012. Brother Jim: Their spirit gives off just such nastiness.

1013. David: Oh, now we have the keyboard warriors who think that they can

1014. David: say anything they want just because they're behind a

1015. David: keyboard, I. Guarantee you they wouldn't say ninety percent of

1016. David: that stuff if they.

1017. David: If they had to look.

1018. David: You face to face and say it.

  1019. Brother Jim: You know.

1020. Brother Jim: Yeah. No, no, everybody's a bad man.

1021. Brother Jim: And you know.

1022. Brother Jim: Now, uh, treating others.

1023. Brother Jim: I think we failed in so many ways on that one and how we

1024. Brother Jim: treat our kids.

1025. Brother Jim: I tell you, Ellie, for girls.

1026. Brother Jim: And by far she is going through the worst with the drama.

1027. Brother Jim: And Ellie's got a big heart, and

1028. Brother Jim: she doesn't cause drama, but

1029. Brother Jim: getting sucked in, trying to be

1030. Brother Jim: the peacemaker and this and

  1031. Brother Jim: that.

1032. Brother Jim: And it's just amazing.

1033. Brother Jim: And she has not learned.

1034. Brother Jim: And I know this sounds horrible, but you can't trust people.

  1035. David: No.

  1036. Brother Jim: It's just a fact.

  1037. David: Yeah.

1038. Brother Jim: Now, and I know again, that

1039. Brother Jim: probably sounds horrible for me

1040. Brother Jim: to say that, but there are some

1041. Brother Jim: people you just know you can't

  1042. Brother Jim: trust them.

1043. Brother Jim: It's just if I tell David a secret.

1044. Brother Jim: And I know David's one of the biggest gossipers around.

1045. Brother Jim: David isn't okay, but you know, then why are you even you know

1046. Brother Jim: what's going to.

  1047. David: Happen, right?

1048. David: You know, telegraph, telephone, tele so and so.

  1049. Brother Jim: Yeah, exactly.

1050. Brother Jim: That old saying there.

1051. Brother Jim: And that's tough for a young

1052. Brother Jim: thirteen year old hormones and

1053. Brother Jim: everything because she sees the

1054. Brother Jim: eyes through a different set of

  1055. Brother Jim: lenses.

1056. Brother Jim: And that's tough for me because through my own experience, not

1057. Brother Jim: everybody is nice.

1058. Brother Jim: Not everybody is kind.

1059. Brother Jim: And there's a lot of people out there that just gets their

1060. Brother Jim: jollies hurting people.

  1061. Brother Jim: Yeah.

1062. Brother Jim: And bringing them down.

1063. Brother Jim: And how do you explain that to a thirteen year old until you

1064. Brother Jim: actually, it's one of the things I hate to say it.

1065. Brother Jim: I think you have to go through it.

1066. Brother Jim: You have to be hurt.

  1067. David: Sadly.

  1068. David: Yes.

1069. Brother Jim: Yeah. To, to kind of start developing that skin.

1070. Brother Jim: But then also on the godly side

1071. Brother Jim: of it, you still got to love

  1072. Brother Jim: him, honey.

1073. Brother Jim: You just got to pray for him, you know, pray for them.

1074. Brother Jim: And that's tough because still Father Instinct kicks in.

  1075. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

1076. Brother Jim: But, uh, first Peter three three to four.

1077. Brother Jim: Your beauty should not come from

1078. Brother Jim: outward adornment, such as

1079. Brother Jim: elaborate hairstyles and the

1080. Brother Jim: wearing of gold jewelry or fine

  1081. Brother Jim: clothes.

1082. Brother Jim: Rather, it should be that of

1083. Brother Jim: inner self, the unfading beauty

1084. Brother Jim: of a gentle and quiet spirit

1085. Brother Jim: which is of great worth in God's

  1086. Brother Jim: sight.

1087. Brother Jim: In first Peter, uh.

1088. Brother Jim: First Peter three three to four.

1089. Brother Jim: The Bible teaches us that our

1090. Brother Jim: beauty should not only come from

1091. Brother Jim: outward adornment, but from the

1092. Brother Jim: unfading beauty of a gentle and

  1093. Brother Jim: quiet spirit.

1094. Brother Jim: So again reiterated a gentle and quiet spirit.

1095. Brother Jim: Now, that one's tough for me, David.

1096. Brother Jim: I'm just loud.

  1097. Brother Jim: And, uh.

1098. Brother Jim: And, you know, like today I had class.

1099. Brother Jim: Like with the attitude going in.

1100. Brother Jim: Just be quiet.

1101. Brother Jim: You know, you don't have to talk

1102. Brother Jim: all the time, you know, and it's

  1103. Brother Jim: just like.

1104. Brother Jim: It's like putting a can of cold Pepsi in front of me.

  1105. David: Yeah.

1106. Brother Jim: Eventually I'm going to crack

1107. Brother Jim: and have to open it up and take

  1108. Brother Jim: a swig.

1109. Brother Jim: And then once I start, it's

1110. Brother Jim: like, uh oh, this was so good,

  1111. Brother Jim: you know?

  1112. David: Yeah.

1113. Brother Jim: Uh, but yeah, it's and I do enjoy going into a conversation

1114. Brother Jim: with a group of people and just kind of listening for a while,

1115. Brother Jim: like a poker game.

  1116. David: Yeah.

1117. Brother Jim: Not that I've played poker,

1118. Brother Jim: really, but, you know, watching

1119. Brother Jim: the gambler and that reading

1120. Brother Jim: people, you know, and saying,

1121. Brother Jim: okay, trying to figure out who

1122. Brother Jim: is who is the arrogant one out

1123. Brother Jim: of the group, who's the quiet

  1124. Brother Jim: one?

1125. Brother Jim: Who's the one that has done it

1126. Brother Jim: all, you know, and what he

1127. Brother Jim: hasn't done isn't worth doing,

  1128. Brother Jim: you know?

1129. Brother Jim: Just trying to read the room.

  1130. Brother Jim: Yeah.

1131. Brother Jim: Before you start to engage.

1132. Brother Jim: Um. And I, again, I don't know if that's right or wrong, but I

1133. Brother Jim: think still, I personally believe that, you know, just

1134. Brother Jim: keeping the, the Kanane lips here on the mouth.

1135. Brother Jim: Quiet for a while till you know what you're getting into.

1136. Brother Jim: And that's a tough thing, you know, especially with for men.

1137. Brother Jim: I can only speak for men, but maybe that's why we don't open

1138. Brother Jim: up so much.

1139. Brother Jim: Yeah, because of trust.

1140. Brother Jim: Is this guy going to sell me out?

1141. Brother Jim: It's like the bro code is almost broken.

  1142. David: Yeah.

1143. Brother Jim: You know the man code of man.

1144. Brother Jim: What you say stays with me and to where?

  1145. Brother Jim: You know.

1146. Brother Jim: Or you go home and tell your wife.

1147. Brother Jim: Well, then it's not being sexist people, but, you know, um, and,

1148. Brother Jim: and again, how many people use gossip to that image management?

  1149. David: Yeah.

1150. Brother Jim: To bring people back.

1151. Brother Jim: So they've got friends, you know, so it's a sad world

1152. Brother Jim: sometimes this means that true godliness is shown through

1153. Brother Jim: humility, kindness and modesty.

1154. Brother Jim: When we follow the example of Jesus Christ, our outward lives

1155. Brother Jim: begin to reflect his character.

1156. Brother Jim: People will see patience instead

1157. Brother Jim: of anger, love instead of

1158. Brother Jim: hatred, and purity instead of

  1159. Brother Jim: worldliness.

1160. Brother Jim: Our outward appearances should

1161. Brother Jim: point people to Christ, not to

  1162. Brother Jim: ourselves.

  1163. Brother Jim: The goal.

1164. Brother Jim: The goal is not to gain

1165. Brother Jim: attention or praise, but to live

1166. Brother Jim: in a way that brings glory to

  1167. Brother Jim: God.

1168. Brother Jim: So the question we should ask ourselves is, does my outward

1169. Brother Jim: life reflect the God who lives in my heart?

1170. Brother Jim: When our hearts truly, when our heart truly, I mean really

1171. Brother Jim: belongs to God, our outward lives will show it.

1172. Brother Jim: Our actions, our words, and even our appearances will reflect the

1173. Brother Jim: holiness and the love of Christ.

1174. Brother Jim: Because a heart devoted to God will always produce a life that

1175. Brother Jim: honors him on the outside.

1176. Brother Jim: So in saying all that, how's your appearance?

1177. Brother Jim: How's your inward appearance?

1178. Brother Jim: How's your outward appearance?

1179. Brother Jim: And remember, that outward

1180. Brother Jim: appearance isn't going to get

1181. Brother Jim: clean like this coffee cup here

1182. Brother Jim: until it starts in here, you

  1183. Brother Jim: know.

1184. Brother Jim: So why not start on the inside first?

1185. Brother Jim: And you know what?

1186. Brother Jim: That requires you being honest.

1187. Brother Jim: That's a tough one, David, to admit I got faults.

1188. Brother Jim: I got things that I can improve on, but that's a step, man.

1189. Brother Jim: You gotta own it first, right?

  1190. David: Yep.

1191. Brother Jim: You can read all the self-help books, listen to the videos, go

1192. Brother Jim: pay to go to conferences.

1193. Brother Jim: But to me, if it doesn't start

1194. Brother Jim: right here and here, I got a

  1195. Brother Jim: problem.

  1196. David: Yeah.

1197. Brother Jim: Okay. Now, how can I fix this problem and admit it to me?

1198. Brother Jim: Admit it to God.

1199. Brother Jim: All right, Lord, I need you in

1200. Brother Jim: this because I don't know where

  1201. Brother Jim: to go.

1202. Brother Jim: So, uh, Mr. David, my friend,

1203. Brother Jim: closing thoughts, comments for

  1204. Brother Jim: this segment?

1205. David: Um, not really, but battling some audio issues over here.

1206. David: So again, thank you.

1207. David: Thank you for, for your patience with these bugs.

1208. David: But speaking of audio issues, you know, we talked about

  1209. David: putting on appearances.

1210. David: My wife told me a while ago that

1211. David: she doesn't like listening to

  1212. David: the podcast.

1213. David: She says, I don't like the way you sound on the podcast.

1214. David: What do you mean you don't sound like yourself?

1215. David: Like, well, I'm not, you know,

1216. David: I'm not putting on any errors or

  1217. David: anything.

1218. David: Again, what you see is what you get.

1219. David: But it's, it's this, I've got this tuned in such a specific

1220. David: way that it sounds more pleasing to the listener.

1221. David: And she thinks I don't sound like myself.

1222. Brother Jim: So every time I listen to myself, it's something.

1223. Brother Jim: It's way off to me.

  1224. David: Yeah.

1225. Brother Jim: And I just start a complete ripping down of myself.

1226. Brother Jim: Yeah, I've gotten better.

1227. Brother Jim: But how I sound, I think sounds good.

1228. Brother Jim: But when I listen to myself or

1229. Brother Jim: watch, it's like, oh my

  1230. Brother Jim: goodness, you.

1231. David: They say it has to do with the

1232. David: the auditory bones because

1233. David: you're getting that vibration

1234. David: from the auditory bones in your

  1235. David: head.

1236. David: So you sound different to yourself in your head than what

1237. David: you really sound like coming back to you.

1238. Brother Jim: Yeah. And that's a tough one to swallow.

  1239. David: Yeah.

1240. Brother Jim: Uh, and again, maybe a little pride there, but also, I don't

1241. Brother Jim: want to sound dorky either, you know, nasally or you know.

  1242. Brother Jim: Right.

1243. Brother Jim: Uh, I can't remember if I said it or not, but.

  1244. Brother Jim: Ellie.

1245. Brother Jim: The other last Sunday, she's like, you know, dad, you got

1246. Brother Jim: such a soothing voice when you talk up there.

1247. Brother Jim: And I'm like, here it comes.

1248. Brother Jim: Just wants to put you to sleep.

1249. Brother Jim: I like the soothing voice part, but I think I try to go up and

1250. Brother Jim: down on that David, don't I?

1251. Brother Jim: I mean, with my voice bringing it up.

  1252. David: And yeah.

1253. Brother Jim: I mean, I think I'm more on the aggressive side than a.

  1254. David: You're not you're not monotone.

1255. Brother Jim: I'm not, you know, like reading a bedtime story.

1256. Brother Jim: Oh, good evening ladies.

1257. David: Slip into Barry White there.

  1258. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

1259. Brother Jim: Oh those are some of the guys I love the most can do the

1260. Brother Jim: different voices, you know.

1261. Brother Jim: I mean that would that would be a gift to have there to where

1262. Brother Jim: you could really put some humor into a sermon on how, you know.

1263. David: I mean, like Bob Uecker.

1264. David: Yeah. The Lakewood in the off season.

1265. Brother Jim: I wish you could have seen his face.

1266. Brother Jim: He had it down.

1267. Brother Jim: He had it down.

1268. Brother Jim: Uh, but, uh.

  1269. Brother Jim: Yeah.

1270. Brother Jim: So keep it clean.

1271. Brother Jim: Keep it real.

  1272. Brother Jim: My friends.

1273. Brother Jim: Uh, well, friends, that just

1274. Brother Jim: about does it for this late

  1275. Brother Jim: night edition.

1276. Brother Jim: Uh, as we close, please remember you.

1277. Brother Jim: Yes, you you have meaning.

1278. Brother Jim: You have value.

1279. Brother Jim: And most of all, you are loved.

1280. Brother Jim: May God continue to bless you just as well.

1281. Brother Jim: May you and I continue to thank our Lord above for our blessings

1282. Brother Jim: each and every day.

1283. Brother Jim: And if we meet again, well, then we will smile and rejoice.

1284. Brother Jim: And if not, then this parting was well made.

1285. Brother Jim: Thank you for joining David, myself and Ida Lee this morning.

1286. Brother Jim: This evening, wherever you are

1287. Brother Jim: at here on Bible bibs and

  1288. Brother Jim: prayer.

1289. Brother Jim: This is the big guy, Brother Jim.

1290. David: Out just a bit outside.
