  27. Brother Jim: which the weather screwed up our

  30. Brother Jim: So we didn't get to record on our usual time.

  31. Brother Jim: So David and I are up here on a

  32. Brother Jim: Monday night doing a late night

  33. Brother Jim: edition.

  34. Brother Jim: So. And it's a shame we're not

  35. Brother Jim: set up like we said before for

  36. Brother Jim: call ins, because I think we

  37. Brother Jim: could make an impact and help

  38. Brother Jim: the world.

  39. Brother Jim: David.

  40. Brother Jim: With all their problems.

  41. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  42. David: Should we refer to this as Monday Night Raw?

  43. Brother Jim: Dude. Hit it.

  44. Brother Jim: I'll be good old Jr. Yeah, there we go.

  45. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  46. Brother Jim: If you're a wrestling fan, you know what we're talking about.

  47. Brother Jim: If not, Ah, sorry about your luck, but yeah, actually, Dave

  48. Brother Jim: and I talked about that, trying to do, like, a little show.

  49. Brother Jim: One of the shows here, uh, like ringside commentators, you know,

  50. Brother Jim: or like the great John Madden and Pat Summerall, you know?

  51. Brother Jim: Oh, can we do the clicker, David, like John Madden used to

  52. Brother Jim: do, you know?

  53. David: Oh yeah.

  54. David: The little telestrator.

  55. Brother Jim: Yes, yes.

  56. Brother Jim: But hey, it's time, my friends.

  57. Brother Jim: It's time for Bible bibs and prayers.

  58. Brother Jim: So go find that relaxing place to hang out.

  59. Brother Jim: A place to clear the mind and

  60. Brother Jim: all the distractions in the

  61. Brother Jim: world.

  62. Brother Jim: Better yet, while you're doing that, go grab yourself some

  63. Brother Jim: breakfast, some lunch, and maybe a little snacky.

  64. Brother Jim: And do not worry.

  65. Brother Jim: Myself and David and Miss, I live here.

  66. Brother Jim: Oh, yeah.

  67. Brother Jim: Baby will not judge you with

  68. Brother Jim: whatever you're putting in your

  69. Brother Jim: body.

  70. Brother Jim: Because, Lord, if you only knew what we put in our body.

  71. Brother Jim: And it sounds like David's been

  72. Brother Jim: putting a lot of cake in his

  73. Brother Jim: body lately.

  74. David: Sadly, yes.

  75. Brother Jim: Yes. And unfortunately, my old, uh, what's the word?

  76. Brother Jim: I want my nemesis.

  77. Brother Jim: That cold Mountain Dew has found its way back into my life, and

  78. Brother Jim: I'm fighting it.

  79. Brother Jim: David.

  80. Brother Jim: I'm trying, I'm trying, but.

  81. Brother Jim: Yes, but no, we're not going to judge what you put in your body.

  82. Brother Jim: Better yet, we want to know what you're doing so maybe we can get

  83. Brother Jim: a little bite of it.

  84. Brother Jim: But hey, friends.

  85. Brother Jim: And saying all this, where do basketball players go when they

  86. Brother Jim: need a uniform?

  87. David: I don't know where.

  88. Brother Jim: New Jersey. Bingo. Bango, baby.

  89. Brother Jim: How about another one?

  90. Brother Jim: David?

  91. Brother Jim: Why don't football players wear glasses?

  92. David: I don't know.

  93. Brother Jim: It's a contact sport.

  94. Brother Jim: Whoop, whoop.

  95. Brother Jim: Oh, I think we just hit that one out of the park.

  96. Brother Jim: Ah yes, it's double joke.

  97. Brother Jim: Thursday introduced that one.

  98. Brother Jim: I like that double joke Thursday, Mr. David.

  99. Brother Jim: Yes, sir.

  100. Brother Jim: I see you're chomping at the bit.

  101. Brother Jim: What do you got for us?

  102. David: Not a lot of people know that.

  103. David: I was just awarded the most secretive person in the office.

  104. David: Oh, yeah?

  105. David: And I can't tell you how much that means to me.

  106. Brother Jim: I need one to assemble.

  107. David: Hang on.

  108. David: Here we go.

  109. David: Here we go.

  110. David: Where's that?

  111. David: Where's that?

  112. David: Oh, here we go.

  113. Brother Jim: Can you do the wah wah wah one?

  114. Brother Jim: I see if you can find.

  115. David: I'll have to get one and get it in there.

  116. Brother Jim: Uh, too bad we couldn't set it up on the program where the

  117. Brother Jim: listeners could either.

  118. David: Or they probably just do it.

  119. David: We we can hear the groans in their head.

  120. Brother Jim: Oh, yes.

  121. Brother Jim: The whole show might get a wah wah wah.

  122. Brother Jim: Uh, but hey, Ida Lee, what a

  123. Brother Jim: blessing, isn't it, baby, we

  124. Brother Jim: need to get you to have a joke

  125. Brother Jim: here soon.

  126. Brother Jim: I'll work on that one.

  127. Brother Jim: So, in saying all that.

  128. Brother Jim: Good morning to you.

  129. Brother Jim: Good evening, good afternoon.

  130. Brother Jim: Wherever you are, whatever you're doing.

  131. Brother Jim: Good morning world.

  132. Brother Jim: Let us thank God for another

  133. Brother Jim: beautiful day, another breath

  134. Brother Jim: in.

  135. Brother Jim: Oh baby.

  136. Brother Jim: Another opportunity to grow.

  137. Brother Jim: Welcome back to the podcast Bible Bibs and Prayer, where we

  138. Brother Jim: start our day with gratitude.

  139. Brother Jim: Good conversation.

  140. Brother Jim: Oh, a lot of that and a whole lot of positive energy along

  141. Brother Jim: with a lot of ibuprofen.

  142. Brother Jim: So can I get an amen on that?

  143. David: Amen?

  144. Brother Jim: Yeah. And caffeine.

  145. David: That's the important one there.

  146. Brother Jim: Yes. Yeah. They're both very influential in my life.

  147. Brother Jim: Ibuprofen and caffeine are.

  148. Brother Jim: I'm your host brother Jim.

  149. Brother Jim: Welcome to the show.

  150. Brother Jim: Let's turn this in from a

  151. Brother Jim: conversation into an experience,

  152. Brother Jim: shall we?

  153. Brother Jim: And if you thought that intro was good, just wait.

  154. Brother Jim: This is where it gets even better.

  155. Brother Jim: Ladies and gentlemen, he is a man among men.

  156. Brother Jim: A face that only a mother could love.

  157. Brother Jim: And she has verified that many a times.

  158. Brother Jim: And we're going to come back to the Leinster in a moment, Dave.

  159. Brother Jim: David on that one.

  160. Brother Jim: And now, the moment you've all been waiting for, my co-host

  161. Brother Jim: today is someone who keeps me humble, mostly by reminding me

  162. Brother Jim: often how often I am wrong and making sure I don't get.

  163. Brother Jim: I'm sorry I don't go off on some tangent that gets me all wound

  164. Brother Jim: up and say things I should not.

  165. Brother Jim: Boy, I'm just sputtering out now.

  166. Brother Jim: Basically, David keeps me out of

  167. Brother Jim: trouble, is what I'm trying to

  168. Brother Jim: say.

  169. Brother Jim: Welcome the one.

  170. Brother Jim: The only.

  171. Brother Jim: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages.

  172. Brother Jim: He is the best of the best, Mr. David Keener and plus man, my

  173. Brother Jim: hat's even stuff.

  174. Brother Jim: G's one of my best friends in the whole wide world.

  175. David: Woo!

  176. Brother Jim: Good evening.

  177. David: Sir, my friend.

  178. David: You know, you think I got myself my hands busy here?

  179. David: I'm keeping track of the audio.

  180. David: The video?

  181. David: Trying to take care of problems simultaneously at the same time.

  182. David: I'm trying to help my watch wife watch a TV show at home.

  183. David: That's not playing right for some troubleshooting.

  184. David: That too.

  185. Brother Jim: Let's have a moment.

  186. Brother Jim: Yes, yes yes.

  187. Brother Jim: Dave.

  188. David: Dave. Jack of all trades.

  189. David: Master of none folks.

  190. Brother Jim: Well, hopefully she doesn't hear the podcast from Tuesday about

  191. Brother Jim: what we talked about women and how they set us up.

  192. Brother Jim: Yes.

  193. Brother Jim: Does this make us look fat?

  194. Brother Jim: Uh, good morning, my friend.

  195. Brother Jim: How is life in Konavle?

  196. David: It's good.

  197. David: It's Thursday, you know, and as we always say, the weekend is

  198. David: right around the corner.

  199. David: I've been battling some throat stuff, so hopefully this weather

  200. David: will stop going from eighty to forty to thirty to sixty to just

  201. David: make up your mind, man.

  202. Brother Jim: You know what?

  203. Brother Jim: It's all.

  204. David: That. What's that?

  205. Brother Jim: Two plane tickets for you and I down to sun sand.

  206. Brother Jim: And, you know, we could do live recording.

  207. Brother Jim: That's how we'd write it.

  208. David: I don't know if it solves it, but it helps.

  209. Brother Jim: I think it would help.

  210. David: It does help.

  211. Brother Jim: Fresh orange juice.

  212. Brother Jim: How about that?

  213. Brother Jim: Absolutely.

  214. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  215. Brother Jim: There we go.

  216. Brother Jim: Seafood galore.

  217. Brother Jim: You know a lot of protein.

  218. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  219. Brother Jim: You know.

  220. David: I have often said if I ever become.

  221. David: I don't know how to get off on this tangent, but if.

  222. Brother Jim: I go.

  223. David: If I become homeless for any reason, I'm going to start

  224. David: walking south because I would much rather be homeless in

  225. David: Florida than homeless in Ohio.

  226. Brother Jim: True.

  227. David: I mean, is that not true?

  228. Brother Jim: I, I don't know that heat, brother.

  229. Brother Jim: That.

  230. Brother Jim: Oh, that'd be a tough one.

  231. David: Well, you're not going to freeze to death.

  232. Brother Jim: Yeah, but you got alligators and snakes down there, man.

  233. Brother Jim: They might eat you.

  234. Brother Jim: They find you along the subway station.

  235. David: Trying to stay away from that stuff if you can, but.

  236. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  237. Brother Jim: Oh, you don't have a chance up here.

  238. Brother Jim: Geez.

  239. Brother Jim: Oh, yeah.

  240. Brother Jim: AC on one day, and then you got the heater on the next.

  241. Brother Jim: Yep.

  242. Brother Jim: Uh, big plans for the weekend.

  243. David: Not that I have been told of yet, but, you know, we'll we'll

  244. David: we'll see here.

  245. David: I don't, I don't know of

  246. David: anything, but I'm about due for

  247. David: another mo.

  248. David: So if the weather cooperates, we'll get out for mo number two.

  249. Brother Jim: Yeah. I got a little bit done the other day here.

  250. Brother Jim: Nice.

  251. Brother Jim: Just.

  252. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  253. Brother Jim: As the thunder was rolling in and I was thinking it's like a

  254. Brother Jim: country music song here.

  255. Brother Jim: Oh, here comes the thunder.

  256. Brother Jim: Here comes the rain.

  257. Brother Jim: Yep.

  258. Brother Jim: How fast will this mower go to

  259. Brother Jim: get me up there before it just

  260. Brother Jim: soaks me.

  261. Brother Jim: But yeah, I know, so.

  262. Brother Jim: And I was talking with someone today.

  263. Brother Jim: It's like, got the yard all picked up for the most part to

  264. Brother Jim: mow of sticks and twigs, limbs.

  265. Brother Jim: And now that came through again.

  266. Brother Jim: Do it again.

  267. Brother Jim: I'm gonna have a serious bonfire here real soon.

  268. Brother Jim: And it's going to be very tempting not to throw gas.

  269. Brother Jim: And I just seen tonight I got it three point nine nine a gallon

  270. Brother Jim: man there, a new Philly three point nine nine a gallon.

  271. Brother Jim: So I guess I won't be using gasoline to start the fire, so

  272. Brother Jim: we'll have to find another.

  273. Brother Jim: I got a lot of black powder.

  274. Brother Jim: There we go.

  275. Brother Jim: Maybe we could film that.

  276. David: I'm thinking of that in my head now.

  277. Brother Jim: But yeah.

  278. Brother Jim: Hey, I do want to mention, uh, Friday night here at Rockford

  279. Brother Jim: Church, actually, over at our life center, his abilities

  280. Brother Jim: ministry is kicking off for night number two last, uh,

  281. Brother Jim: beginning of the month.

  282. Brother Jim: That's where the Nacho man made his appearance.

  283. Brother Jim: Now, again, as I said Tuesday,

  284. Brother Jim: uh, reminding I, I kind of got

  285. Brother Jim: the wind knocked out of my sails

  286. Brother Jim: that know nacho man for Friday

  287. Brother Jim: night.

  288. Brother Jim: But hey, this is a ministry geared for special needs adults.

  289. Brother Jim: And I tell you what, man, what a blast we had.

  290. Brother Jim: And, uh, we had about fifty, uh,

  291. Brother Jim: special needs folks along with

  292. Brother Jim: their caregivers.

  293. Brother Jim: And I tell you, David, it was just awesome snacks and they're

  294. Brother Jim: breaking down more in the sessions this upcoming Friday.

  295. Brother Jim: So we got that going on.

  296. Brother Jim: Spread the word.

  297. Brother Jim: It is a great ministry, a lot of love, but also a lot of laughs

  298. Brother Jim: and I tell you, I was blessed.

  299. Brother Jim: And then Saturday morning over at the Family Life Center we've

  300. Brother Jim: got T four C is coming in.

  301. Brother Jim: Shout out to Buffy.

  302. Brother Jim: Actually Buffy, I had scheduled her for an interview, uh, to sit

  303. Brother Jim: down and tell us about T four C here in Tuscarawas County.

  304. Brother Jim: But, uh, I said just not going to work.

  305. Brother Jim: And of course, the power went out Sunday anyway, so that

  306. Brother Jim: killed it all.

  307. Brother Jim: But, uh, they got the breakfast, I believe from eight to eleven

  308. Brother Jim: over at the life Center.

  309. Brother Jim: Pancakes and sausage.

  310. Brother Jim: Keeping it simple.

  311. Brother Jim: But who doesn't like pancakes and sausage, right?

  312. Brother Jim: And, uh, so come on out again

  313. Brother Jim: over here at the Rockford Family

  314. Brother Jim: Life Center.

  315. Brother Jim: And again, that just, uh, what a great, uh, organization, uh,

  316. Brother Jim: share Christmas is sponsored through t four C along with a

  317. Brother Jim: lot of help in our community and especially our elders.

  318. Brother Jim: So if you're looking for a place

  319. Brother Jim: to have breakfast, come on out

  320. Brother Jim: to the forty four C over at

  321. Brother Jim: Rockford Lifestyle.

  322. Brother Jim: Leave again, eight to eleven.

  327. Brother Jim: It's just a busy time of the year for preachers.

  328. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  329. Brother Jim: You know.

  330. Brother Jim: Yep, I got one.

  331. Brother Jim: I love this, this, uh, lady in

  332. Brother Jim: our church, she calls me

  333. Brother Jim: preacher man because that's what

  334. Brother Jim: her grandson calls her great

  335. Brother Jim: grandson.

  336. Brother Jim: Hey, preacher man.

  337. Brother Jim: So I kind of like that.

  338. Brother Jim: I need to get a hat that says that.

  339. Brother Jim: There you go.

  340. Brother Jim: But, uh, I think every pastor across the nation here is

  341. Brother Jim: gearing up, getting ready because it's just so much to do.

  342. Brother Jim: Um, and through it all again,

  343. Brother Jim: gotta get your suits dry

  344. Brother Jim: cleaned.

  345. Brother Jim: David.

  346. David: Absolutely.

  347. Brother Jim: Shout out to, uh, Midtown dry cleaners.

  348. Brother Jim: I showed up two days and said, is there any way you can get

  349. Brother Jim: these done for me by Friday?

  350. Brother Jim: And they're like, yes.

  351. Brother Jim: I was like, yes, they are awesome over there.

  352. Brother Jim: Uh, so if you're looking for

  353. Brother Jim: anybody to do your dry cleaning,

  354. Brother Jim: big shout out to Midtown dry

  355. Brother Jim: Cleaners.

  356. Brother Jim: And this one lady, she is so cool.

  357. Brother Jim: Uh, I need to find out what her name is so I can let her know,

  358. Brother Jim: hey, we're doing a shout out for you, but yeah, uh, but got to

  359. Brother Jim: get that all done too, because you got to look your best for

  360. Brother Jim: Easter Sunday, right?

  361. David: Of course.

  362. Brother Jim: Yeah. Stinking suits.

  363. Brother Jim: I don't know why did they ever say.

  364. Brother Jim: Did I tell you.

  365. David: Have to get about forty five

  366. David: degrees in here to be able to

  367. David: handle it.

  368. Brother Jim: Yeah. Well, the other day I wore bibs there to make a point.

  369. Brother Jim: And I tell you what, that was

  370. Brother Jim: one of the best days of my life

  371. Brother Jim: because I could wear my old bibs

  372. Brother Jim: preaching.

  373. Brother Jim: And that was pretty comfortable.

  374. Brother Jim: David.

  375. Brother Jim: Pretty comfortable, let me tell you.

  376. Brother Jim: Alrighty then.

  377. Brother Jim: A week has almost come to an end, friends.

  378. Brother Jim: And what have you done to make this past week to make a

  379. Brother Jim: difference in God's kingdom?

  380. Brother Jim: The weekend is almost here.

  381. Brother Jim: Yes it is.

  382. Brother Jim: What are you going to do?

  383. Brother Jim: What you gonna do?

  384. Brother Jim: What you gonna do for God in his kingdom?

  385. Brother Jim: And I'm sorry I can't really boogie down tonight because this

  386. Brother Jim: back and neck.

  387. Brother Jim: I got an MRI tonight, David.

  388. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

  389. Brother Jim: And it's like, it's cool though.

  390. Brother Jim: Have you ever had one?

  391. David: I think I have.

  392. Brother Jim: Well, the cool thing is now they give you headphones so you can

  393. Brother Jim: tune in to whatever kind of music you want to listen to.

  394. Brother Jim: Okay.

  395. Brother Jim: And I chose eighties, you know,

  396. Brother Jim: can't go wrong with the

  397. Brother Jim: eighties.

  398. Brother Jim: There was only one song.

  399. Brother Jim: I knew what is going on here, so.

  400. Brother Jim: But, uh, I tell you what,

  401. Brother Jim: brother, it gets a little tight

  402. Brother Jim: in there.

  403. Brother Jim: And especially if you're a bigger guy.

  404. Brother Jim: Yeah, uh, your nose is just a

  405. Brother Jim: few inches away, and it's like,

  406. Brother Jim: be cool, be cool, close your

  407. Brother Jim: eyes.

  408. Brother Jim: But they do have a lot of air

  409. Brother Jim: flowing through there, so that's

  410. Brother Jim: nice.

  411. David: I must not have had that because I did.

  412. David: They put you in some kind of a machine for an EKG?

  413. Brother Jim: Uh, EKG is usually just the.

  414. David: I got put into something several

  415. David: years ago with the hospital, and

  416. David: it wasn't like it was it was not

  417. David: that claustrophobic, but it was

  418. David: similar.

  419. David: So I don't know what it was.

  420. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah, it, it now my momma,

  421. Brother Jim: she's gotta have one and she has

  422. Brother Jim: to get doped up for it because

  423. Brother Jim: she can't handle the

  424. Brother Jim: claustrophobic.

  425. Brother Jim: So I'm definitely going to be there.

  426. Brother Jim: Maybe I can get some video footage.

  427. David: Yeah, there you go.

  428. David: I'm sure she'll appreciate that.

  429. Brother Jim: Especially coming out of it.

  430. Brother Jim: Yeah. Uh, but hey, uh, so saddle up and let's hit the trail.

  431. Brother Jim: That brand new weekend trail together.

  432. Brother Jim: We got work to do.

  433. Brother Jim: And again, let us know what you got going on.

  434. Brother Jim: We'd love to hear from you.

  435. Brother Jim: Kind of getting tired of asking.

  436. Brother Jim: Asking.

  437. Brother Jim: We're pleading.

  438. Brother Jim: What do you want to do?

  439. Brother Jim: Get Brother Jim down on his knees.

  440. Brother Jim: And David, along with little Ida Lee here.

  441. Brother Jim: Look, I tell you what.

  442. Brother Jim: Look at this face.

  443. Brother Jim: Look at this face.

  444. Brother Jim: Little Ida Lee wants you to at

  445. Brother Jim: least give us one or two

  446. Brother Jim: comments.

  447. Brother Jim: Wouldn't that be nice?

  448. Brother Jim: David?

  449. Brother Jim: Come on, you don't want to disappoint the pig.

  450. David: I know, I know, we can do.

  451. David: Hold that thought.

  452. Brother Jim: All right, all right.

  453. David: Come right.

  454. Brother Jim: Around here.

  455. Brother Jim: Oh my goodness.

  456. Brother Jim: Please.

  457. David: Please, we're begging you.

  458. Brother Jim: Yes. Come on, help me.

  459. Brother Jim: Help me.

  460. Brother Jim: Yes.

  461. Brother Jim: We just want to hear from you just once what you're going to

  462. Brother Jim: do this weekend.

  463. Brother Jim: What's your plans?

  464. David: This is what you get on late night.

  465. Brother Jim: Yeah. And no friends.

  466. Brother Jim: We have not been drinking anything or, you know.

  467. David: Just Coke Zero for me.

  468. Brother Jim: Yes, well, I've been hitting a

  469. Brother Jim: Mountain Dew, so I do have a,

  470. Brother Jim: what do they call these a

  471. Brother Jim: Celsius.

  472. Brother Jim: But I'm going to pass on that tonight.

  473. Brother Jim: So I don't want to be wired because it was two in the

  474. Brother Jim: morning before I finally settled down last night.

  475. Brother Jim: That's not good.

  476. Brother Jim: No, but again, we got a new weekend coming up and, uh, man,

  477. Brother Jim: uh, again, if you don't have a place to go for Palm Sunday, we

  478. Brother Jim: invite you out.

  479. Brother Jim: Rocks for church nine thirty a m

  480. Brother Jim: and of course, Easter right

  481. Brother Jim: here.

  482. Brother Jim: Uh, next weekend, we've got

  483. Brother Jim: sunrise service at seven, uh,

  484. Brother Jim: sunrise breakfast following

  485. Brother Jim: afterwards.

  486. Brother Jim: And they always put on a nice little meal there.

  487. Brother Jim: And then again, our Easter service at nine a m nine thirty

  488. Brother Jim: a m. Excuse me.

  489. Brother Jim: Yes.

  490. Brother Jim: And we've got the best tech guy

  491. Brother Jim: around to make sure all goes

  492. Brother Jim: well.

  493. Brother Jim: Really, it comes down to

  494. Brother Jim: electricity or the power and the

  495. Brother Jim: internet.

  496. David: So really, who did you get?

  497. David: Oh, yeah.

  498. David: Uh.

  499. Brother Jim: And never mind.

  500. Brother Jim: Not even going to go there.

  501. Brother Jim: All right, come on, friends, you can almost do it.

  502. Brother Jim: You're almost there.

  503. Brother Jim: Humor of the day.

  504. Brother Jim: All right.

  505. Brother Jim: Taking great pains.

  506. Brother Jim: To be specific, the new auto shop teacher on our staff

  507. Brother Jim: explained to three of Eighteen to three of his students that he

  508. Brother Jim: wanted them to clean a car that was parked outside.

  509. Brother Jim: And dude, David, this is so true.

  510. Brother Jim: I'm sorry.

  511. Brother Jim: He gave them two extension cords the vacuum cleaner, a bucket,

  512. Brother Jim: rags, and the car keys.

  513. Brother Jim: He mentioned that the car was one to be used in his class.

  514. Brother Jim: Later he went out and discovered

  515. Brother Jim: them sitting in the car, feet up

  516. Brother Jim: on the dashboard, listening to

  517. Brother Jim: the stereo.

  518. Brother Jim: The teacher asked, why aren't you vacuuming the car?

  519. Brother Jim: Because the extension cords wouldn't reach, was the reply,

  520. Brother Jim: irritated, trying to keep his cool as cool, the teacher

  521. Brother Jim: stated, that's why I gave you two extension cords.

  522. Brother Jim: We tried.

  523. Brother Jim: The other one a student said,

  524. Brother Jim: but it wouldn't stretch out that

  525. Brother Jim: far either.

  526. Brother Jim: Picture the moment.

  527. David: My friend's.

  528. Brother Jim: Picture, the moments and I can see that literally happening.

  529. David: Yep, yep.

  530. David: I had to clean out my car for that time.

  531. David: I was an Uber driver, but I got tired of people talking behind

  532. David: my back, so.

  533. Brother Jim: Woo!

  534. Brother Jim: I can't even, uh, um, snort right now for the pig.

  535. Brother Jim: But, uh, we need to get her her own sound clip.

  536. David: Yes, we'll have to find it.

  537. Brother Jim: Yes, but that was a good one, David.

  538. Brother Jim: I like that one.

  539. Brother Jim: All right, today's thought.

  540. Brother Jim: When you dance with the devil, you don't get to pick the tune.

  541. Brother Jim: Woo!

  542. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  543. Brother Jim: How many of us can say that we have danced with the devil?

  544. Brother Jim: Or maybe we continue to dance with the devil.

  545. Brother Jim: HMM.

  546. Brother Jim: How about it, folks?

  547. Brother Jim: How about it, David?

  548. Brother Jim: Time in your life you ever danced with the devil?

  549. David: Well, yeah.

  550. David: I mean, get a little too close to the fire and get burnt

  551. David: sometimes, you know?

  552. David: That's right.

  553. David: Yeah.

  554. David: It happens.

  555. David: It hurts.

  556. David: It does, it.

  557. Brother Jim: Hurts, it hurts.

  558. Brother Jim: Uh, yeah.

  559. Brother Jim: And, you know, it's a very fine line sometimes, is it not?

  560. David: Yeah.

  561. Brother Jim: Of being of the world, living in

  562. Brother Jim: the world and removing yourself

  563. Brother Jim: from the world to make sure that

  564. Brother Jim: those cooties.

  565. Brother Jim: Yeah, don't fleas don't get on you.

  566. Brother Jim: And you might be saying, well,

  567. Brother Jim: Brother Jim, what are you

  568. Brother Jim: talking about?

  569. Brother Jim: And I'm not talking about, uh,

  570. Brother Jim: going to Vegas, dropping

  571. Brother Jim: thousands of dollars that I

  572. Brother Jim: don't have, picking up a couple

  573. Brother Jim: honeys, you know, that kind of

  574. Brother Jim: stuff?

  575. Brother Jim: No, no, no, no, it's the little things.

  576. Brother Jim: David.

  577. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  578. Brother Jim: How about anger?

  579. David: Oh, yeah.

  580. Brother Jim: Yes. How about anger?

  581. Brother Jim: How about gluttony?

  582. Brother Jim: And Little Italy here is probably saying, yeah, save the

  583. Brother Jim: pork, save the pork.

  584. Brother Jim: But I mean, it's those little

  585. Brother Jim: things, brother, that we can

  586. Brother Jim: dance with.

  587. Brother Jim: Music.

  588. Brother Jim: Movies.

  589. David: Yeah.

  590. Brother Jim: Like I said, we took Ellie here, uh, to a PG, PG thirteen movie,

  591. Brother Jim: and it wasn't.

  592. Brother Jim: There was.

  593. Brother Jim: I don't even think there was one

  594. Brother Jim: curse word in it, to be honest

  595. Brother Jim: with you.

  596. Brother Jim: Yeah, but again, you don't know

  597. Brother Jim: what you're going to get right

  598. Brother Jim: for sure.

  599. Brother Jim: It could be.

  600. Brother Jim: Are you serious?

  601. Brother Jim: Or in this case.

  602. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  603. Brother Jim: It was.

  604. Brother Jim: I actually cried in the movie, man.

  605. Brother Jim: I've been very emotional this week.

  606. Brother Jim: But, uh, yeah, if you happen to watch it, it's that one where

  607. Brother Jim: they go to the sun to save it.

  608. Brother Jim: It's like this alien they encounter.

  609. Brother Jim: He's this cute little rock spider named Rocky.

  610. Brother Jim: How original.

  611. Brother Jim: But it's like, I want to have a Rocky now.

  612. David: Yeah.

  613. Brother Jim: But. Yeah. No, again, you got to be on guard, do we not?

  614. Brother Jim: We have to be on guard because the devil can come in many

  615. Brother Jim: disguises and many ways.

  616. Brother Jim: And before you know it, you're two stepping with him.

  617. Brother Jim: And sometimes that dance can last a long, long time.

  618. Brother Jim: You ever go to a you ever go to school dances?

  619. Brother Jim: Back in the day?

  620. David: No, I never went to a single one.

  621. David: I was the the guy who was too shy to ask anybody.

  622. Brother Jim: Gotcha.

  623. Brother Jim: I would go with a pack of the other losers.

  624. Brother Jim: You know, the the ones that would cling to the gym wall and

  625. Brother Jim: be afraid to walk across.

  626. Brother Jim: But you know, when you're there dancing with a girl, like in

  627. Brother Jim: junior high, all these things are running through your mind.

  628. Brother Jim: I don't know, maybe you folks go back to the day two.

  629. Brother Jim: Back if you went to a dance and that and you're wondering, you

  630. Brother Jim: know, does she think.

  631. Brother Jim: Does she like me?

  632. Brother Jim: Does she this, does she that.

  633. Brother Jim: And as soon as the dance ends,

  634. Brother Jim: instead of continuing, like

  635. Brother Jim: usually they do like a three

  636. Brother Jim: round three, three songs in a

  637. Brother Jim: row.

  638. Brother Jim: Yeah, well.

  639. Brother Jim: Thank you.

  640. David: Goodbye.

  641. David: Goodbye.

  642. Brother Jim: Right after the first song.

  643. Brother Jim: Uh, the devil, unfortunately,

  644. Brother Jim: won't let us go that easy, will

  645. Brother Jim: he?

  646. Brother Jim: He wants to keep us just two stepping right along with him,

  647. Brother Jim: and hopefully it turns into something even greater.

  648. Brother Jim: But today, we're going to talk about a subject that the Bible

  649. Brother Jim: teaches about very clearly.

  650. Brother Jim: Who?

  651. Brother Jim: Who is Satan?

  652. Brother Jim: Now, if I was to walk up and ask you a hundred dollars, can you

  653. Brother Jim: give me a clear, true definition of who Satan is?

  654. Brother Jim: What would you tell me?

  655. Brother Jim: HMM.

  656. Brother Jim: Those could be some interesting answers, David.

  657. David: Yeah.

  658. Brother Jim: Unfortunately, we don't have one hundred dollars to walk around

  659. Brother Jim: and pass out.

  660. David: The budget won't allow it.

  661. Brother Jim: Yeah, the budget won't allow it.

  662. Brother Jim: And, uh, what would be your answer?

  663. Brother Jim: Who is Satan?

  664. Brother Jim: How does Satan affect me?

  665. Brother Jim: Is Satan real?

  666. Brother Jim: One of the greatest.

  667. Brother Jim: And I'm going to butcher this

  668. Brother Jim: quote, but one of the greatest

  669. Brother Jim: tricks ever performed by Satan

  670. Brother Jim: was making people believe he

  671. Brother Jim: didn't exist.

  672. Brother Jim: Goes along with that, you know.

  673. Brother Jim: Of course, God always gets a lot of the blame, but does Satan not

  674. Brother Jim: get a lot of the blame too?

  675. Brother Jim: The devil made me do it.

  676. Brother Jim: How often have we heard that one?

  677. Brother Jim: Really?

  678. Brother Jim: The devil made you do it?

  679. Brother Jim: Okay.

  680. Brother Jim: Understanding who Satan is helps

  681. Brother Jim: us understand the spiritual

  682. Brother Jim: battle that Christians face

  683. Brother Jim: every day.

  684. Brother Jim: That mankind.

  685. Brother Jim: Let's just say mankind faces every day.

  686. Brother Jim: There's the spiritual battle for the Christians, but yet also for

  687. Brother Jim: the non-Christians too.

  688. Brother Jim: They got the same kind of battle going on because.

  689. Brother Jim: Oh, let me back up a little bit.

  690. Brother Jim: You ever find that if you're

  691. Brother Jim: spiritually dead, the Satan

  692. Brother Jim: really mess with, you know, does

  693. Brother Jim: his demons really mess with,

  694. Brother Jim: you.

  695. David: Know, you're not a threat to him.

  696. Brother Jim: You're not a threat.

  697. Brother Jim: But if you are alive and thriving and striving for God,

  698. Brother Jim: it seems like a lot of can pile up real quick, right?

  699. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

  700. Brother Jim: Spiritual battle, my friends.

  701. Brother Jim: But let me put us back in the same category here.

  702. Brother Jim: Christians, non-Christians, we all face struggles.

  703. Brother Jim: We all have.

  704. Brother Jim: And I call it life.

  705. Brother Jim: David.

  706. Brother Jim: I mean, you're gonna have to pay your taxes.

  707. Brother Jim: Why are we paying three point nine nine for gas?

  708. Brother Jim: Right?

  709. Brother Jim: I mean, rich, poor, you got to pay for the gas.

  710. Brother Jim: So we all have them general battles that we face, I believe.

  711. Brother Jim: But then comes the spiritual battle.

  712. Brother Jim: And look around, my friends, if you're a true believer in

  713. Brother Jim: Christ, you see the spiritual battle going on because Satan

  714. Brother Jim: knows his time is limited here on this earth.

  715. Brother Jim: So who was this Satan?

  716. Brother Jim: Number one, Satan was created by God.

  717. Brother Jim: Now, I think probably a lot of people don't understand that I

  718. Brother Jim: had a hard time.

  719. Brother Jim: Why would God, being God, create this bum?

  720. Brother Jim: Yeah, this piece of trash.

  721. Brother Jim: Well, first, the Bible teaches

  722. Brother Jim: us that Satan was not always

  723. Brother Jim: evil.

  724. Brother Jim: And there's the key.

  725. Brother Jim: Satan was not always evil.

  726. Brother Jim: He was originally created by God as an angel, beautiful angel.

  727. Brother Jim: And he had such a power.

  728. Brother Jim: David.

  729. Brother Jim: A ranking there, dude.

  730. Brother Jim: I mean, he was up there praise and worship.

  731. Brother Jim: Now can you imagine the guy in charge or woman guy that's in

  732. Brother Jim: charge of all the praise and worship in heaven?

  733. Brother Jim: I mean, you're strutting your stuff, right?

  734. David: Oh, yeah.

  735. Brother Jim: Yeah. I mean, that is a serious title.

  736. Brother Jim: And maybe and I believe it's more than a maybe.

  737. Brother Jim: That's what led to the downfall because of pride.

  738. Brother Jim: Yes.

  739. Brother Jim: He was originally created by God as an angel.

  740. Brother Jim: God created everything good.

  741. Brother Jim: Remember that.

  742. Brother Jim: That's why you were created.

  743. Brother Jim: Good.

  744. Brother Jim: You are created good.

  745. Brother Jim: It's just the nonsense we do.

  746. Brother Jim: Right here.

  747. Brother Jim: Right here.

  748. Brother Jim: Guilty as charged that we pull.

  749. Brother Jim: We choose to walk away from God.

  750. Brother Jim: But Satan allowed pride, as I

  751. Brother Jim: just mentioned, to grow in his

  752. Brother Jim: heart.

  753. Brother Jim: In Isaiah fourteen twelve, we read about the fall of one who

  754. Brother Jim: tried to lift himself above God.

  755. Brother Jim: Isaiah fourteen twelve.

  756. Brother Jim: How you are fallen from heaven,

  757. Brother Jim: O Lucifer, son of the morning,

  758. Brother Jim: how you are cut down to the

  759. Brother Jim: ground.

  760. Brother Jim: You who weakened the nations

  761. Brother Jim: pride, led him to rebel against

  762. Brother Jim: the Lord.

  763. Brother Jim: Now classic case David, right throughout mankind's history.

  764. Brother Jim: Pride.

  765. Brother Jim: MM. From the pulpit to the guy.

  766. Brother Jim: Cleaning horse stalls.

  767. David: Yeah.

  768. Brother Jim: Does color matter of the skin for pride?

  769. David: Nope.

  770. Brother Jim: Nope. Does race matter?

  771. David: Nope.

  772. Brother Jim: Nope. Does male female matter?

  773. David: Nope.

  774. Brother Jim: Age matter?

  775. David: Nope.

  776. Brother Jim: Funny how age, though, can play, especially as you get older.

  777. Brother Jim: Just being honest.

  778. David: Yeah, I'm sure there's a point of diminishing return there.

  779. David: Yeah, yeah.

  780. Brother Jim: But yeah.

  781. Brother Jim: Pride led him to rebel against the Lord.

  782. Brother Jim: He wanted to be God.

  783. Brother Jim: And think about it.

  784. Brother Jim: He's got all this going for him.

  785. Brother Jim: You know, he's the top dog there in heaven, you know, and gets to

  786. Brother Jim: see all the glory and leading the singing and this and that,

  787. Brother Jim: and all of a sudden, well, why shouldn't I be God?

  788. Brother Jim: MM mm.

  789. Brother Jim: See a lot of that here in our

  790. Brother Jim: world today and throughout

  791. Brother Jim: history.

  792. Brother Jim: Now, how many people thought

  793. Brother Jim: they were God throughout

  794. Brother Jim: history?

  795. Brother Jim: David.

  796. Brother Jim: Oh, yeah.

  797. Brother Jim: That would be a very long and

  798. Brother Jim: I'm not going to say

  799. Brother Jim: distinguished list there, But a

  800. Brother Jim: very long list who man and woman

  801. Brother Jim: felt was led to believe that

  802. Brother Jim: they are more than just a mere

  803. Brother Jim: mortal.

  804. Brother Jim: They are God.

  805. Brother Jim: That takes some serious ego, doesn't it?

  806. Brother Jim: I mean, that takes a lot of ego.

  807. Brother Jim: But the sad thing is how

  808. Brother Jim: convincing they can be to

  809. Brother Jim: others.

  810. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  811. Brother Jim: To get these little cults going.

  812. Brother Jim: I mean, oh my goodness.

  813. Brother Jim: Geez.

  814. Brother Jim: Um, do you think we have that in our area today?

  815. Brother Jim: David.

  816. David: I'm sure we do.

  817. Brother Jim: I wonder how many churches, how many pastors might qualify under

  818. Brother Jim: that in our area.

  819. David: Oh, hello.

  820. Brother Jim: Oh, hello. Wow. What's Brother Jim saying?

  821. Brother Jim: I'm just asking.

  822. Brother Jim: I'm just asking.

  823. Brother Jim: I got to admit, one or two might come to my mind.

  824. Brother Jim: I just I'm curious.

  825. Brother Jim: Just curious about it, you know?

  826. David: Yeah.

  827. Brother Jim: Um, because isn't that the

  828. Brother Jim: problem when we start getting

  829. Brother Jim: away from this, David, from the

  830. Brother Jim: truth, the word, and start

  831. Brother Jim: putting in our own agenda our

  832. Brother Jim: own thoughts.

  833. Brother Jim: And that's why I would like to say just my opinion.

  834. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  835. Brother Jim: Now, when it comes to the Bible,

  836. Brother Jim: no. And I try to back everything

  837. Brother Jim: up in a Sunday morning with

  838. Brother Jim: Scripture.

  839. Brother Jim: But you know, when we're talking about social, you know, issues

  840. Brother Jim: and that kind of stuff, you know, it's my opinion.

  841. Brother Jim: It's, it's not, which is a little different when you try to

  842. Brother Jim: bring people in saying, oh, no, this is what God is telling me.

  843. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  844. Brother Jim: And I'm not.

  845. Brother Jim: Don't get me wrong, God speaks to us all.

  846. Brother Jim: But when we take our influence

  847. Brother Jim: and use that not for the

  848. Brother Jim: betterment of the kingdom, but

  849. Brother Jim: for the betterment of ourselves,

  850. Brother Jim: that's to me where we got a

  851. Brother Jim: problem.

  852. Brother Jim: That could be a big problem.

  853. David: Well, you can also have a problem when people decide to

  854. David: choose to follow the man instead of the word even, even if the

  855. David: man's not trying to be a, you know, cult leader, so to speak.

  856. David: But, you know, they start putting their faith and their

  857. David: trust in, in the man instead of.

  858. Brother Jim: And I try to be very cautious of that.

  859. Brother Jim: Don't you ever, ever, ever put me up on a pulpit?

  860. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  861. Brother Jim: Or up on a pedestal.

  862. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  863. Brother Jim: I'm nothing but a. We could go

  864. Brother Jim: on and on about what I really

  865. Brother Jim: am.

  866. Brother Jim: But again, saved by grace and mercy.

  867. Brother Jim: But yeah, that that you hit that on the head.

  868. Brother Jim: You know?

  869. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  870. Brother Jim: Sometimes you're not looking to do that.

  871. Brother Jim: You're just simply doing what you're called to do.

  872. Brother Jim: And all of a sudden people start, you know, are you ever

  873. Brother Jim: have that teacher in school you had a crush on?

  874. Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah.

  875. Brother Jim: Yep.

  876. Brother Jim: How about you guys ever have a teacher back in the day that you

  877. Brother Jim: maybe had a little crush on?

  878. Brother Jim: They weren't trying to persuade you to attract you.

  879. David: Yeah.

  880. Brother Jim: It was just their personality, the way they did things.

  881. Brother Jim: Maybe the way they cared.

  882. Brother Jim: Maybe they way they just gave you a little extra time and not

  883. Brother Jim: in a, you know.

  884. Brother Jim: Yeah, a bad way.

  885. Brother Jim: Because they cared.

  886. David: Yeah.

  887. Brother Jim: Uh, yeah.

  888. Brother Jim: Sometimes I guess that probably

  889. Brother Jim: happens more than we think, you

  890. Brother Jim: know.

  891. Brother Jim: But again, there's always that

  892. Brother Jim: room, that door there that can

  893. Brother Jim: be opened and being aware of the

  894. Brother Jim: situation.

  895. Brother Jim: So, uh, because of his

  896. Brother Jim: rebellion, old Satan, he was

  897. Brother Jim: cast down.

  898. Brother Jim: His desire was not to serve God, but to take God's place.

  899. Brother Jim: Now, if we look at Ezekiel

  900. Brother Jim: twenty eight seventeen, it

  901. Brother Jim: speaks about a being whose heart

  902. Brother Jim: was lifted up because of beauty

  903. Brother Jim: and pride.

  904. Brother Jim: Many Christians understand this as described in Satan's Fall.

  905. Brother Jim: So Satan was once an angel, but through pride and rebellion he

  906. Brother Jim: became God's enemy.

  907. Brother Jim: And what does the name Satan really mean?

  908. Brother Jim: The word Satan means adversary or enemy.

  909. Brother Jim: Another name used in the Bible

  910. Brother Jim: is the devil, which means

  911. Brother Jim: accuser.

  912. Brother Jim: Satan accuses people and tries

  913. Brother Jim: to bring condemnation and

  914. Brother Jim: discouragement.

  915. Brother Jim: If we look at first Peter five, verse eight, the Bible warns us,

  916. Brother Jim: and I love this one.

  917. Brother Jim: Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks

  918. Brother Jim: about like a what?

  919. Brother Jim: Like a what?

  920. Brother Jim: A roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

  921. Brother Jim: And that's what he does, isn't it?

  922. Brother Jim: David, it's you.

  923. Brother Jim: Ever think about it?

  924. Brother Jim: You know how a cat will play

  925. Brother Jim: with a mouse before he finally

  926. Brother Jim: kills it?

  927. Brother Jim: Is that not maybe the same way

  928. Brother Jim: the devil tries to mess with

  929. Brother Jim: some people?

  930. Brother Jim: Oh, yeah.

  931. Brother Jim: Just keeps pawing at it.

  932. Brother Jim: Playing with it.

  933. Brother Jim: Just.

  934. Brother Jim: Just to punish it.

  935. Brother Jim: To torment it instead of just putting it out of its misery.

  936. Brother Jim: And not that Satan can do that, but you know what I mean.

  937. Brother Jim: The torment.

  938. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  939. Brother Jim: But here's the thing.

  940. Brother Jim: Satan will tempt us, but Satan can't make us.

  941. Brother Jim: You know what I mean?

  942. Brother Jim: Yeah, he can do all the tempting.

  943. Brother Jim: Now, what about demonic possession, Jim?

  944. Brother Jim: That's a good one.

  945. Brother Jim: Which I'm hoping we can get into, which that's a whole

  946. Brother Jim: different game to me.

  947. Brother Jim: My opinion there.

  948. Brother Jim: But again, are we opening up the door to that David.

  949. Brother Jim: Oh think about remember the old Ouija boards back in the day?

  950. David: Oh yeah.

  951. Brother Jim: Oh yeah, I remember, uh, if you listen to Hotel California and

  952. Brother Jim: played it backwards, you know, that was way back in the day on

  953. Brother Jim: your record player.

  954. Brother Jim: You know, that was another now the Ouija board and that who

  955. Brother Jim: don't even go messing with that kind of stuff.

  956. Brother Jim: And we're warned in the Bible.

  957. Brother Jim: I'll have to pull up some scripture on that one.

  958. Brother Jim: What we need to avoid, especially did you know we had a

  959. Brother Jim: lot of witches in our area?

  960. David: I don't know if I knew that.

  961. Brother Jim: Yes. Witchcraft.

  962. David: MM.

  963. Brother Jim: I blew my mind, but it makes sense.

  964. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  965. Brother Jim: I ran into somebody and very nice lady, and she blew me away

  966. Brother Jim: with a comment one night that she would meet with other, uh,

  967. Brother Jim: what do they call them?

  968. Brother Jim: Mediums.

  969. David: Yeah, I think so.

  970. Brother Jim: Yeah. And get together.

  971. Brother Jim: And I don't, I'm not going to call it prayer by any means, but

  972. Brother Jim: whatever they do and I'm like, you got to be kidding me.

  973. Brother Jim: I mean, she's cool fun, you know, just a nice lady.

  974. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  975. Brother Jim: Wow.

  976. Brother Jim: Did not expect that one.

  977. Brother Jim: Uh, so again, you never know what your next door neighbor

  978. Brother Jim: might be doing.

  979. Brother Jim: So yeah, but again, we are so I

  980. Brother Jim: think blinded by our everyday

  981. Brother Jim: life.

  982. Brother Jim: We don't we don't notice.

  983. Brother Jim: And I think that's why Satan is so good at deceiving.

  984. Brother Jim: I mean, we could have a serial killer next door to us or a

  985. Brother Jim: grand poobah in the local, uh, warlock group, you know.

  986. Brother Jim: We never know.

  987. Brother Jim: But again, we need to be we need

  988. Brother Jim: to be held accountable to make

  989. Brother Jim: sure we're being accountable, to

  990. Brother Jim: watch out for ourselves, our

  991. Brother Jim: families, our children,

  992. Brother Jim: especially men.

  993. Brother Jim: To keep our families out of this harm, this destruction, this

  994. Brother Jim: evil that is just lurking, waiting to pounce, to attack

  995. Brother Jim: like that roaring lion.

  996. Brother Jim: And this.

  997. Brother Jim: You believe Satan is active right now?

  998. Brother Jim: David, in the world today one hundred percent.

  999. Brother Jim: Oh, absolutely.

  1000. Brother Jim: Yes.

1001. Brother Jim: And he's so and I'm not giving

1002. Brother Jim: him any props, but he's so good

1003. Brother Jim: at it because we're doing it to

  1004. Brother Jim: ourselves.

1005. Brother Jim: He just slowly, you know, it's

1006. Brother Jim: like he stirs the pot every once

1007. Brother Jim: in a while and he just lets us

  1008. Brother Jim: cook ourselves.

1009. Brother Jim: You look at today.

1010. Brother Jim: I mean, our morals, our values.

1011. Brother Jim: And I know I'm sounding like an old man, but it's true.

1012. Brother Jim: I mean, what's acceptable now?

1013. Brother Jim: Could you imagine back in the day, your grandma.

1014. Brother Jim: God bless her.

1015. Brother Jim: Oh my God, the rules she lived by.

  1016. David: Yeah.

  1017. Brother Jim: What?

1018. Brother Jim: Your mother lived by what you lived by now.

1019. Brother Jim: What your children live by.

1020. Brother Jim: The rules can still be the same.

1021. Brother Jim: But what about the environment?

  1022. Brother Jim: They're in.

  1023. David: Drastically different.

  1024. Brother Jim: Drastically. Exactly.

1025. Brother Jim: And how about you?

1026. Brother Jim: Our friends think like.

  1027. Brother Jim: Hey, Abraham.

1028. Brother Jim: God bless you, honey.

1029. Brother Jim: Can't wait to see you back here.

1030. Brother Jim: But, you know, think about Peg.

1031. Brother Jim: Think about when you grew up,

1032. Brother Jim: the environment you were in

1033. Brother Jim: versus the environment you're in

  1034. Brother Jim: now.

1035. Brother Jim: And to be honest, David, I can understand why a lot of us keep

1036. Brother Jim: our blinders on because we don't want to know about it.

1037. Brother Jim: We don't want to deal with it.

  1038. David: Yeah.

1039. Brother Jim: And I mean, she's a whiz, but

1040. Brother Jim: yes, it shows us that Satan is

  1041. Brother Jim: active.

1042. Brother Jim: He's always looking for ways to

1043. Brother Jim: lead people into sin and away

  1044. Brother Jim: from God.

1045. Brother Jim: Satan is the father of lies.

1046. Brother Jim: Jesus spoke directly about Satan's character.

1047. Brother Jim: John eight forty four.

1048. Brother Jim: You are of excuse me.

1049. Brother Jim: You are of your father, the devil, and the desire of your

1050. Brother Jim: father you want to do.

1051. Brother Jim: He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in

1052. Brother Jim: the truth, because there is no truth in him.

1053. Brother Jim: When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources.

1054. Brother Jim: For he is a liar and the father of it.

1055. Brother Jim: In John eight forty four, Jesus

1056. Brother Jim: said that Satan is the father of

  1057. Brother Jim: lies.

1058. Brother Jim: Now we were just talking on

1059. Brother Jim: Tuesday about honesty from the

  1060. Brother Jim: very beginning.

1061. Brother Jim: Satan has used deception.

1062. Brother Jim: We see that in the story of the temptation of Adam and Eve.

1063. Brother Jim: In the Garden of Eden, Satan twisted God's words and caused

1064. Brother Jim: doubt, leading them into what.

  1065. Brother Jim: Into disobedience.

1066. Brother Jim: That is still how Satan works today.

1067. Brother Jim: He plants thoughts such as God doesn't care about you, Jim.

1068. Brother Jim: God doesn't care about you, David.

  1069. Brother Jim: Really, Guys?

  1070. Brother Jim: It's sin.

1071. Brother Jim: Really that serious?

1072. Brother Jim: Come on, you gotta have a little fun.

1073. Brother Jim: You can handle life without God.

1074. Brother Jim: Think of all the lies we've heard throughout our lives that

1075. Brother Jim: we're told every day.

1076. Brother Jim: But these are lies meant to pull people away from the truth.

1077. Brother Jim: Satan tempts and tries to destroy.

1078. Brother Jim: Satan also tempts people to sin.

1079. Brother Jim: Even Jesus was tempted.

1080. Brother Jim: And remember that David.

1081. Brother Jim: Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness as recorded in

1082. Brother Jim: Matthew chapter four.

1083. Brother Jim: Satan tried to tempt Jesus with power, pride, and shortcuts, but

1084. Brother Jim: Jesus resisted him using the words of God.

1085. Brother Jim: This teaches us an important

1086. Brother Jim: lesson if we're willing to

  1087. Brother Jim: listen.

1088. Brother Jim: God's word is our weapon against temptation.

1089. Brother Jim: Satan wants to destroy faith, relationships, and lives,

1090. Brother Jim: families, churches, you name it.

1091. Brother Jim: He wants to destroy it.

1092. Brother Jim: But temptation itself is not sin.

1093. Brother Jim: Giving into it is.

1094. Brother Jim: Now let's hit that real quick.

1095. Brother Jim: But temptation itself is not sin.

1096. Brother Jim: Giving into it is.

1097. Brother Jim: But with God's help, we can.

1098. Brother Jim: You and I can resist.

1099. Brother Jim: Satan is powerful, but not equal to God.

1100. Brother Jim: Sometimes people think of Satan as if he were equal to God.

1101. Brother Jim: Oh no baby, not even close.

1102. Brother Jim: But that's not true.

1103. Brother Jim: Satan is a created being and God is the creator of everything.

1104. Brother Jim: Satan's power is limited.

  1105. Brother Jim: Remember that.

  1106. Brother Jim: Limited.

1107. Brother Jim: But when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, the

1108. Brother Jim: devil must flee.

1109. Brother Jim: That means believers are not helpless.

1110. Brother Jim: Jesus has already won the victory.

1111. Brother Jim: And that's what we're going to celebrate here next week.

1112. Brother Jim: Winning the victory.

1113. Brother Jim: The greatest truth for Christians is Jesus Christ has

1114. Brother Jim: already defeated Satan.

1115. Brother Jim: He's defeated death and resurrection.

1116. Brother Jim: Through the resurrection, Jesus

1117. Brother Jim: broke the power of sin and

  1118. Brother Jim: darkness.

1119. Brother Jim: Remember that, my friends.

1120. Brother Jim: One day Satan will be completely

1121. Brother Jim: defeated and in revelation

1122. Brother Jim: twenty, we see that Satan's

1123. Brother Jim: final, final destiny is

  1124. Brother Jim: judgment.

1125. Brother Jim: Evil will not win.

  1126. Brother Jim: God will.

1127. Brother Jim: We got a lot to think about.

1128. Brother Jim: We need to be active.

1129. Brother Jim: We need to be alert.

1130. Brother Jim: And we're going to continue this

1131. Brother Jim: next week, because there's a lot

1132. Brother Jim: here of things that we can be

1133. Brother Jim: doing, David, to make sure we

  1134. Brother Jim: are alert.

1135. Brother Jim: So we will come back to this next week.

1136. Brother Jim: Is that just about does it today for Thursday, March twenty

1137. Brother Jim: second twenty twenty six?

1138. Brother Jim: Mr.. David, any closing comments on this?

1139. David: You know, as you were talking, I've, I've I've heard the story

1140. David: of the fall of Satan for I've known it for over forty years.

1141. David: And I had a thought that just

1142. David: now occurred to me that the

1143. David: angels apparently had free will

  1144. David: as well.

  1145. David: Yes.

1146. David: Because, you know, we, we as humans have free will, but I it

1147. David: never dawned on me that he gave the angels free will.

1148. David: I mean, that's the only way he

1149. David: could have chosen right to

  1150. David: rebel.

1151. David: Well, I want to.

1152. Brother Jim: Add this in real quick off of what you just said.

1153. Brother Jim: Think about it.

1154. Brother Jim: He took a third of the angels with him.

1155. Brother Jim: Now, if he could convince and this is just my little mindset.

1156. Brother Jim: There are these angels are created by God in heaven.

  1157. Brother Jim: Yeah, perfect.

1158. David: As good as it gets.

1159. Brother Jim: Good as it gets.

1160. Brother Jim: And he could persuade a third of the angels to follow him, to

1161. Brother Jim: rebel, to rebel.

1162. Brother Jim: What's that say about our weak minds?

  1163. Brother Jim: Our weak.

  1164. David: Right.

  1165. David: Yeah.

1166. Brother Jim: And that is what, man?

1167. Brother Jim: That hits you right between the eyes, in my opinion.

1168. Brother Jim: Because I think of the used car salesman.

1169. Brother Jim: If this dude could this.

1170. Brother Jim: I ain't going to say what I want to say.

1171. Brother Jim: If this guy, this angel, could convince a third of his fellow

1172. Brother Jim: angels to rebel against God, he must be a pretty good talker.

  1173. David: Yeah.

  1174. Brother Jim: Smooth talker.

1175. Brother Jim: So what chance do we have?

1176. Brother Jim: The only chance we have is God's word.

  1177. David: Yep.

1178. Brother Jim: Through faith, obedience, and trust in Jesus.

1179. Brother Jim: Well, please remember you.

1180. Brother Jim: Yes, you have meaning.

1181. Brother Jim: You have value.

1182. Brother Jim: And most of all, you are loved.

1183. Brother Jim: May God continue to bless you just as well.

1184. Brother Jim: May you and I continue to thank our Lord above for our blessings

1185. Brother Jim: each and every day.

1186. Brother Jim: If we meet again, well, then we will smile and rejoice.

1187. Brother Jim: And if not, then this parting was well made.

1188. Brother Jim: I want to end with this.

1189. Brother Jim: Happy trails to you until we meet again.

1190. Brother Jim: And that is a shout out to a very fine gentleman.

1191. Brother Jim: Rockford church just laid to rest this week.

1192. Brother Jim: Mr. Jack Moore, a beautiful, godly man, a cowboy at heart.

1193. Brother Jim: So happy trails, my friend.

1194. Brother Jim: Thank you for joining Dave and myself along with Miss Ida Lee

1195. Brother Jim: here on Bible Bibs in Prayer.

1196. Brother Jim: This is the big guy, brother Jim.

  1197. Brother Jim: Out.

1198. Singer: Happy trails to you.

1199. Speaker 4: Till we meet up again.
