  1. Praise the Lord everyone. It's good to be in the House of

  2. the Lord today. I like what I feel and I feel

  3. what I like in the house. We're so honored today to be

  4. here with Pastor McGee and his wife.

  5. I want to give honor today first to God because without him we

  6. would have nothing. Would we want to give honor to

  7. Bishop and Sister McGee, Long time friends as well and I

  8. appreciate them. Of course, Pastor and Sister

  9. McGee and Mariah and Trevor, we appreciate them.

  10. I miss my friend, Brother Mason today.

  11. I don't know what you call him here, Brother Mason, Dr. Mason,

  12. I don't know. He preached for me not too long

  13. ago and I introduced him as Brother Mason.

  14. I told him I didn't want to introduce him as doctor because

  15. I was, I had some older people in our church and I was afraid

  16. they would go to him and want a prescription.

  17. And so I I tried to save him from that.

  18. And of course, we appreciate Brother Alex, Sister Grace, this

  19. wonderful church family and congratulations on paying your

  20. church off. That is a tremendous blessing,

  21. no doubt. Thankful to have my wife with me

  22. today, and I was pleasantly surprised to see my friend

  23. brother tag Short here today when I walked in.

  24. I appreciate him. I've known him for many, many

  25. years as well, and we're thankful to see him today.

  26. We're going to get into the word of the Lord, and I know that I'm

  27. the only thing standing between you and lunch.

  28. I still have another service to go to after this, but I'm

  29. standing between you and lunch. But I have an assignment today

  30. from the Lord, and I pray that it will touch somebody.

  31. I pray that it will help somebody, and I pray that it

  32. will encourage somebody, and I pray that it will challenge

  33. somebody. If the Word of God doesn't

  34. challenge us, we can't grow. But I'm grateful today if you'll

  35. turn with me to the book of Luke today, chapter #18 the book of

  36. Luke chapter #18 I want to start with verse #18 today the Bible

  37. says in a certain ruler, ask him saying, good master, what shall

  38. I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why

  39. call us thou me good? None is good save one that is

  40. God. Thou knowest the commandments.

  41. Do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not bear

  42. false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother.

  43. And he said, all of these I have kept up from my youth up.

  44. Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, You

  45. like us, thou one thing so all thou has and distribute unto the

  46. poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come

  47. follow me. And when he heard this, he was

  48. very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

  49. And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said How

  50. hardly. Shall thou they that have riches

  51. enter into the Kingdom of God? I want to minister just for a

  52. few moments today, by the grace of an almighty God, cutting

  53. loose my broken limb, cutting loose my broken limb, and you

  54. set your Bibles down and let us go to the Lord in prayer.

  55. Heavenly Father, we come before you today.

  56. God, I'm so thankful and honored, God, to be able to step

  57. into the pulpit again one more time to minister your word.

  58. I pray, God, that you would open our ears that we might hear,

  59. open our hearts that we might receive God, and open our minds

  60. that we might comprehend God, what you're trying to tell the

  61. church on this day. God, I'm asking, Lord God, that

  62. everyone of us, Lord God, will fall in love with you more today

  63. than we have ever had before. God, we thank you and we give

  64. you glory and we give you honor. We ask God that you would bless

  65. this word. God to our hearts Lord, and we

  66. give you the thanks for it. We give you the thanks for it

  67. and everyone saying Jesus name, You may be seated today.

  68. I don't take this assignment lightly Today I understand and

  69. realize that I am not near the minister that your pastor is.

  70. I understand today that there are many evangelists and other

  71. pastors that could probably feel this pulpit today.

  72. But God's Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

  73. He said my word will not pass away and it will go out and it

  74. will do what is intended to do, and it will not return void.

  75. And so I've come humbly today to step into this pulpit and

  76. minister something that I felt like that God had laid up on my

  77. heart today that this generation, not just this

  78. church, but this generation needs.

  79. If there's ever a time the generation needs God, it's in

  80. this hour. We need God more than anything

  81. else. I came across the story.

  82. Let me if you could just lay a little groundwork here.

  83. I came across the story, he said his surgery was on May the 5th,

  84. 2003, Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Co.

  85. His harrowing story was carried in newspapers and on television

  86. around the world. Since this 27 year old didn't

  87. show up for work at his hometown in Aspen on Tuesday morning.

  88. It's not the kind of celebrity that anyone would willingly

  89. choose. To be.

  90. Sure, for this season expert it was only supposed to be a day

  91. long adventure in an extreme sport of canyoneering that

  92. combines hiking and climbing up and down rugged remote terrain

  93. using rock climbing gear to negotiate narrow canyons.

  94. After solo winter expeditions to the summit of 49 of the 54 peaks

  95. in Colorado there that are 14,000 feet and above since

  96. December of 1998, a few hours of hiking around Blue John Canyon

  97. in southeastern Utah's Canyon Lands National Park seemed to be

  98. a walk in the dark. Something went badly wrong for

  99. the time for Aaron Rasslin. As this scrappy mountain climber

  100. moved through the three foot wide slot Canyon, he pushed his

  101. arm into a crack in the Canyon wall and 1000 LB slab of

  102. sandstone suddenly shifted. It broke loose and crushed his

  103. right hand and his forearm and pinned him in a horrifying,

  104. excruciating prison. He tried to use his robes and

  105. his anchors to free himself, but couldn't budget the massive

  106. boulder. They turned into night and hours

  107. turned into days as Aaron, who had narrowly escaped death in

  108. the avalanche in February, was forced to wait for help that was

  109. unlikely to arrive. He heard the rescue helicopter

  110. and begin to scream. They flew by time and time

  111. again, and Aaron felt that surely they have seen him and

  112. was sending help. But Tuesday morning he had

  113. completely exhausted his water supply and by Thursday morning,

  114. after 5 agonizing days of force standing or the unforgiving

  115. elements of the remote Utah wilderness, he realized that

  116. drastic measures would have to be taken if he was going to

  117. survive. Aaron had only two choices as

  118. the sun rose over Blue Canyon, Blue John Canyon last Thursday

  119. morning. He would die with his arm

  120. trapped beneath 1000 LB Boulder alone in a desert.

  121. Or he would have to amputate his arm with his own pocket knife.

  122. Utah Park Ranger Steve Swanky was in all he I said.

  123. I've never seen anybody who had such a will to live and is as

  124. much as a warrior as Aaron is. I've been doing this for 25

  125. years, but I have never seen anyone in this position.

  126. Because of his strong desire to live, Aaron was somehow able to

  127. tie a tourniquet to his right arm and then painstakingly do

  128. the unthinkable, crudely sever the crushed limb just below the

  129. elbow with his own knife on the grim.

  130. Once the grim task was done, he found a way to set up his

  131. climbing ropes and hooks, and he repelled 60 feet down the

  132. Rockwall to the Canyon floor, where he began to trick back out

  133. to his vehicle. That's where rescuers found him

  134. late on Thursday afternoon, bloody and dehydrated, figuring

  135. along a stream where what was left of his right arm was still

  136. wrapped in the tourniquet and he was only two miles from his car.

  137. He had walked seven miles with his wound and he was quickly

  138. airlifted out of the Canyon to the hospital where he began to

  139. be listed in serious condition and begin to have medical

  140. procedures taken. Authorities at the medical ex

  141. medical experts said that if Aaron had not cut off his arm to

  142. free himself, he would have surely died from either

  143. dehydration, exposure or the effects of his limb being

  144. crushed. But what such drastic measures?

  145. Were they really necessary? According to Aaron?

  146. Yes, it was necessary because I would have eventually died from

  147. my injuries. But what if I had just postponed

  148. the tough decision? Wouldn't somebody have found me?

  149. He said I don't believe so. And they talked to the Utah

  150. rescue helicopter pilot, Terry Mercer, and he said if he had

  151. not made the decision to cut off his own arm, he would have never

  152. survived because no one we were flying directly over him and no

  153. one could see him down in that Canyon.

  154. Can I tell somebody today? The psalmist said in 146 and 2.

  155. Psalms, while I live will I praise the Lord, and I will sing

  156. praises unto my God while I have my being.

  157. The devil will try to tell you it's time to sit down and shut

  158. up and sit back and don't worry about it.

  159. But I've come to tell somebody in this house today that God is

  160. too good for us to sit back and hold our praise back from Him.

  161. If He's ever healed your body, body, if he's ever put breath in

  162. your body, and by you being here today, you have breath in your

  163. body. If he's ever touched your mind,

  164. if he's ever touched your finances, I'm telling somebody

  165. God is too good for me to sit back and say I refuse to praise

  166. him. I'm here to tell someone in this

  167. house today. When he woke me up this morning

  168. and I put my feet on the floor, I said thank you God for a

  169. another day. You didn't have to let me see

  170. it, but I'm thankful that you did.

  171. There have been times in my life that I have been down.

  172. There have been times that I've been discouraged.

  173. There's been times that I've faced trials.

  174. There's been times that I've faced test, but I want somebody

  175. to know God has never failed me. He's never let me down.

  176. Every time that I've been down, he come and picked me up.

  177. Every time that I felt alone, he's been there in the middle of

  178. the night when I had tears rolling down my face.

  179. I want you to know what he did, He said joy.

  180. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the

  181. morning. I'm thankful today, the

  182. songwriter says. I'm going to praise the Lord

  183. while I have a chance for I may not have a chance anymore.

  184. I don't know about anybody else today.

  185. I don't want to wait till Wednesday night.

  186. I don't want to wait Brother McGee to to Easter Sunday

  187. Bishop. I don't want to wait until the

  188. next prayer meeting to get myself right with God.

  189. If the Bible says today is the day of salvation, if there's

  190. ever a day that we need God, we need God in this day and hour.

  191. If there's ever a time that we need to praise God, it's in this

  192. day and hour. I don't believe.

  193. I don't believe that I have time to believe the report of the

  194. adversary. I choose to believe the report

  195. of the Lord. I've got too much to gain, to

  196. lose. My grandmother used to say I got

  197. a heaven to gain and I got a hell to shine.

  198. I don't know about anyone else to tell you, but my desire is to

  199. make heaven my home. I don't know about anybody else

  200. today. I'm not worried about seeing my

  201. father who's went on. I'm not worried about seeing my

  202. grandmother who's went on, or other family members that's went

  203. on. But my God, let me see Jesus,

  204. the woman that bled and died for you.

  205. And I let me see him. Let me dance around his.

  206. Throne. Let me cast my crown at His

  207. throne today. I can't afford to have grudges

  208. and bitterness in my life, can't afford to have things that's

  209. stopping me from making heaven. I don't want to be hanging on to

  210. a broken limb and die within the sound of the trumpet.

  211. We've we sometimes we hang on to things in the past that we feel

  212. like have some meaning and some value.

  213. If I had to ask today, how many of you have?

  214. Garages or barns or storage areas that are full of stuff

  215. that we'll probably never, ever use.

  216. Come on now, how many will agree with that?

  217. Today we got stuff that we'll look at and say, you know, I'll

  218. use that someday. I got stuff in a storage area

  219. that I haven't looked at in 10 years, but it's important to me.

  220. You know what I'm talking about, I got stuff in, in our barn

  221. that, you know, when I first started out getting married, we

  222. just had a little room that we put stuff in and then we, we

  223. bumped up to an 8 by 8 and and then we moved up into A1 car

  224. garage. And then, then I had a 2 car

  225. garage. My cars didn't go in them, but I

  226. had them and I had them full. And, and then now I got me a

  227. seat of a 40 by 60 barn that is packed full of stuff.

  228. And, and I told my wife, I said, you know, the other day I told

  229. her, I said, I'm just going to give me a big dumpster.

  230. We're out there and I'm going to start off loading some things.

  231. I want to tell you what we need to do spiritually.

  232. Sometimes we need to get into the barns and into the attics

  233. and into the basements and we need to clean out some things in

  234. our life that God said I'm trying to get rid of.

  235. I got a place for you to go, but you can't go there as long as

  236. you got stuff that stacked there that you think is valuable to

  237. you. Oh Hallelujah.

  238. Too many times we take what we think is valuable and we place

  239. it there. We place more value on that than

  240. on what God wants to do in our life.

  241. How many understands the theory behind the rear view mirror and

  242. the windshield? The rear view mirror is about

  243. this big and the windshield goes across the whole car.

  244. You know why? Because it's not important

  245. what's behind me, it's important what's in front of me.

  246. But we allow the devil too many times to get us focused on the

  247. rearview mirror, and we try to turn it around and make it

  248. bigger. And we look about all of our

  249. problems and we look about all of our failures.

  250. And we look about all the things the devil brings to our mind and

  251. the baggage that we're carrying and all the things that the

  252. devil begins to try to trip us up with.

  253. And I'm trying to tell somebody in this place today if there's

  254. ever a time you need to quit worrying about what's behind

  255. you. Don't think about the things

  256. which are behind, but press toward the mark of the high

  257. calling of Christ. It's.

  258. In this day, an hour that we find ourselves Hallelujah, after

  259. 10 or 15 years, we'll say, yeah, we'll get rid of it.

  260. I usually don't get rid of things out of my barn until the

  261. mice have got it or the water's got it or something's crushed

  262. it. Well, now it's not important.

  263. Now I can throw it away. I didn't need it as much as I

  264. thought I did. But in those 10 or 15 years, I

  265. moved it from one place to the next.

  266. I did. I moved it from one corner or

  267. one room to another and it's taken up space that was used for

  268. things that I really needed. But I I'm going to tell them

  269. myself just a little bit. My stepfather passed away and I,

  270. I, I was given his tools and stuff and, and I brother

  271. champions are here to defend yourself.

  272. So hopefully he's not watching on live stream.

  273. But years ago, he gave me one of these big signs that you put

  274. them letters on that sits outside that I have in my barn.

  275. And I set my stepfather's table saw on the outside and covered

  276. it with a tarp. And the tarp has since blown off

  277. and there's a little rust on it. And I was sitting there thinking

  278. the other day, this don't make any sense.

  279. You got a nice table saw that's sitting outside, and you got a

  280. junky sign that's sitting in the barn.

  281. But how many times do we do that spiritually?

  282. How many times does God try to bring a blessing into our life

  283. that we'll say, I'll sit it on the outside, but things that

  284. don't matter, I'm going to keep on the inside.

  285. I'm here to tell somebody today. There's things in our life that

  286. we need to cut loose. There's things in our life that

  287. God desires to take out of our life in order to put something

  288. better inside of it. If there's ever a time that we

  289. need to cut some things loose, it's in this day that we live.

  290. We need to cut some things loose in our life.

  291. Fine. In the Bible, the story of

  292. Samson, she went to Delilah's barbershop.

  293. She found it cost him in the end.

  294. First it was just buying me with green widths and I'll be just

  295. like any other. And they did that and he broke

  296. them without any problem. Next they found that if you'll

  297. just do it with some new ropes, then I'll be like any other man.

  298. And they bound him, Brother Reese, and he broke them no

  299. problem. And then it got closer to the

  300. source of his strength. Weave the seven.

  301. Locks of my. Hair together with the web and

  302. and then I'll be like anybody else.

  303. And that didn't work. He stood up and he was just as

  304. strong as he ever was. But then he got to the source.

  305. I want to tell somebody in this place today, the devil doesn't

  306. care if you come to church. I know Brother McGee and Sister

  307. McGee is excited for everybody to be here, but the devil don't

  308. care whether you came to church or not as long as he can get to

  309. your source. And he can take what God has for

  310. you today. He doesn't care how many times

  311. you walk through that door and how many times you sit and

  312. listen to the preaching, as long as you don't respond to the word

  313. of God. But I've come to tell somebody

  314. today it's time to get out of Delilah Barber Shop chair.

  315. Then say, God, whatever you have for me today, that's what I

  316. desire. I'm not leaving here until I got

  317. what you have got for my life today.

  318. He said if you shave my head, I'll be like any other man and

  319. I'll tell somebody today. If you allow the devil to speak

  320. to you, you can be like anybody else.

  321. You can be like anybody else. But when you want God to do

  322. something different in your life, you have to stay away from

  323. Delilah. And the Bible says he awoke

  324. himself, and he shook himself like he had the other times, but

  325. this time he had lost his strength.

  326. Can I tell us today, don't wait until your strength is gone to

  327. shake off some things in your life.

  328. The devil is dying to kill us. The Bible says steal and destroy

  329. and SAP us of our strength by singing us a lullaby.

  330. And we're suffering from it. And our families are suffering

  331. from it. And our marriages are suffering

  332. from it, and our children are suffering from it.

  333. And yes, our churches are suffering from it.

  334. And there's some cutting that needs to take place if we're

  335. going to live. And I'll ask the question today,

  336. how bad do you want your family to live?

  337. When you look at the kids, how bad do you want them to live?

  338. I'm talking spiritually today, Mom and dad, if you're not

  339. parenting on the same page, you're killing your kids

  340. spiritually. When you look at your next door

  341. neighbor, how bad do you want them to live?

  342. My friends, if you're not praying for your neighbor,

  343. you're killing them spiritually. When you look at your spouse,

  344. how bad do you want them to live?

  345. I'm not just talking about unsaved ones, but I'm talking

  346. about the ones that are sitting beside you today.

  347. How bad do you want them to live?

  348. Husband and wife, If you're not praying and working with your

  349. spouse to make your marriage stronger, you're killing them

  350. spiritually. When you look at the kids that

  351. come to Sunday school, how bad do you want them to live?

  352. When you look at your child's daycare center, how bad do you

  353. want them to live? When you look at the backsliders

  354. and say, I know they need to be in church, but I'm here to tell

  355. somebody, don't stop praying. Don't stop believing.

  356. How bad do you want them to live?

  357. Time is of the essence. We can continue to do enough to

  358. make us feel good, or we can cut some things off that hinders us

  359. from going after the lost. We can feel good about inviting

  360. someone to church and I want us to where we can go in a

  361. travailing prayer for the Bible says when Zion travaileth it

  362. brought forth children. I'm here to tell somebody in

  363. this house today. We don't need to worry about the

  364. critics. You're always going to have

  365. them. You don't need to worry about

  366. those who say you're crazy to go run to the van and pick up kids.

  367. There's always going to be those individuals.

  368. We need to let them know I care about you enough to know that I

  369. want you to live. I want, I want you to be in the

  370. House of God. I'll do whatever it takes.

  371. I don't know what your what your pastor preaches about this and

  372. he preaches against it. That's OK, go with him.

  373. But we set up a food booth at our 4H fair, all right, And we

  374. set it up at the corn festival that they have in September on

  375. the square. And we have found a lot of

  376. favor. I'm telling you, you won't find

  377. any better pork rinds around and you won't find any better

  378. Alaskan Pollock fillets, the stacks of sandwich that tall

  379. around anywhere. I'm, I shouldn't be saying that

  380. at lunchtime, but my wife, I know you're going to think this

  381. is crazy. My wife, she got the idea at the

  382. corn festival. She said I'm going to take a

  383. clipboard. I think there was a clipboard

  384. right back here somewhere. You got one.

  385. You don't have to go get one if you don't.

  386. My wife got a clipboard and she said, would you print me out a

  387. piece of paper that says, if you have a prayer request, sign your

  388. name. So I, I went to the, I went and

  389. got on my computer, made her a quick paper to, to put out there

  390. and, and my wife was excited about it.

  391. Thank you, sister McGee, I appreciate that My wife was

  392. excited about it. And she took that clipboard and

  393. she got her an ink pen and she set it out there on the table.

  394. And I, I watched the some, some people begin to move it around

  395. and they begin to set it on the back and, and I said, Hey, hang

  396. on just a minute. At least the last I knew I was

  397. still past make sure this stays on the front table because it's

  398. important what it just said we're we're selling fish and

  399. pork rinds but but this says something about prayer.

  400. I'm here to tell you, if you don't have prayer, pork rinds

  401. and fish ain't no matter if you're not sharing the gospel of

  402. Jesus Christ. A fish sandwich ain't going to

  403. help them. My wife set this out there and

  404. there was only after four days there was one person that put a

  405. name on there. Please pray.

  406. But you want me to tell you what?

  407. Ever since that day, my wife has picked them up and.

  408. Her and her. Kids up every service and she's

  409. sitting on the second seat with my wife and she says my desires

  410. to be in the House of God, brother short.

  411. If it was all just for one individual, if it was all for

  412. just three children, then it was worth it.

  413. I'm telling somebody, let's not get caught up in the things that

  414. don't matter. Let's worry about what God

  415. desires for his church. Let's ask Him to lead us, direct

  416. us, and guide us with His power and His anointing.

  417. Hallelujah. We need to quit looking in our

  418. past and strive for our future. We need to reach more.

  419. We need to love more. We need to pray more.

  420. We need to fast more. We need to care more, we need to

  421. do more than we ever have and I'm not in competition with

  422. anybody or any other church. I'm striving for the prize that

  423. is set before me. If you're having revival, then

  424. I'm thanking God because I'm having revival because we're

  425. part of the body of Christ. Hallelujah.

  426. I got excited when Brother McGee put home there.

  427. We had a mortgage burning. I'm telling what y'all telling

  428. you Something to tell you the devil.

  429. Would like to try to even keep us hindered by our finances.

  430. But if I give unto the Lord, he'll give some more to give.

  431. I want you to know you can't out give God.

  432. I'm here to tell you today, don't hold back what God has

  433. blessed you with. Brother McGee hasn't said

  434. anything to me, but don't hold back anything that God has

  435. blessed you with because you can't out give God.

  436. You can't out bless him. You can't out do him.

  437. He will be there more than you ever know.

  438. He's faithful, he's faithful. Can I side note, just for a

  439. minute, I just want to give you just a snap of my, of my story,

  440. brother, Brother McGee said. We've been there 20 years.

  441. I was in Farmington, NM when they were wanting me to come and

  442. pastor a church there in Farmington, NM in 2006.

  443. I got up in the middle of the night on a Saturday night and

  444. God spoke to me and he said, I, he said this is not where I want

  445. you. I said, God, if this is not

  446. where you want me, then where it is?

  447. He said, I want you to go to Solomon and I'll anoint it and

  448. I'll bless it. Bishop I, I, I grew up in Terre

  449. Haute. My father pastor the church in

  450. Terre Haute and I was 16 when he died and I left there.

  451. I, I just gotten my my permit and I hadn't drove around.

  452. I didn't know that Sullivan was 25 minutes South of where I grew

  453. up from. So I got off of the airplane in

  454. Louisville, KY, and my kids asked me, said, Dad, are you

  455. going to New Mexico? I said, no, I'm going to

  456. Sullivan. They said, where's that?

  457. I said, I don't know. But I went across the terminal

  458. there to a book shop and I went and got, I know you, you young

  459. people don't know what this is, but they had Randall, Randall

  460. Mcnally's Atlas. You don't know what that is

  461. because now we got GPS, you know, But I went and got one of

  462. them. I looked it up and I said, well,

  463. right, here's where it's at. So the next weekend or that

  464. weekend, my wife and I, we drove to Sullivan and we begin to look

  465. around and man, I'll tell you what they were once some

  466. astronomical prices for buildings.

  467. I knew nobody there. It was going to be me, my wife

  468. and my kids. I knew nobody there.

  469. I found out later why this guy was giving me such high prices.

  470. I didn't know he owned so many buildings.

  471. He said this is going to be 2000 a month and this was going to be

  472. 1600 a month and I knew what my ties was.

  473. And this is kind of my business mind a little bit.

  474. I I wanted to make sure that I could pay my rent and all my

  475. utilities and the insurance on the building and everything with

  476. my ties. I was working at a plant in

  477. Seymour, IN. I was a manager of safety,

  478. health and security for 3000 employees at a plant there for

  479. 20 years. And I was driving 2 hours one

  480. way to work. And so after about 18 months, I

  481. had moved or actually before then I had moved over to

  482. Sullivan and and my boss told me, he said I need you 30

  483. minutes from the plant. I said I got a church.

  484. I can't. He said you choose your church

  485. or your job. I said OK, no problem.

  486. I came home, my wife was getting ready for Easter service with

  487. the with the sign team and the seniors and all that.

  488. And I walked in the back door of the church and she looked at me.

  489. She said you quit your job, didn't you?

  490. I said, how did you know? She said, I've been praying and

  491. I felt like it so that that evening I wrote out my

  492. resignation letter really short and I took it in to the boss and

  493. I set it down and within 30 minutes, Japan was on the phone.

  494. That was where the mother company was.

  495. They were on the phone. So what can we do to keep you?

  496. We'll give you anything you ask. It don't matter how much money

  497. you want. If you want it, we'll do it.

  498. I said no, it ain't worth it because if I make concessions

  499. now, I'll have to make concessions later and to me the

  500. church and God is worth more to me than that job.

  501. I walked out of there. I never looked back.

  502. I've continued to. I went and tried to look for a

  503. job closer to home doing the same thing and they said we got

  504. all kinds of jobs, if you want to work the weekends and on and

  505. nights. I said I'm pastoring the church.

  506. I can't. I've got to be there.

  507. It's mandatory for the pastor to be there at church.

  508. I wasn't going to trade one thing for another.

  509. So the first year that. I was not at ISON.

  510. In Seymour IN making good money and having insurance and

  511. vacation and all the things, all the perks that I needed and the

  512. gas card and I could take off whenever I wanted and all those

  513. kinds of things. I, I had the keys to all the,

  514. the plants around and in the United States and I could go set

  515. up their safety departments and everything.

  516. They flew me everywhere. I, I, I had no problem with

  517. that. And, and I looked at it all and

  518. I, and the first year that I wasn't at ISON, I filed taxes on

  519. less than $20,000 and people looked at me, Brother McGee, and

  520. they said you're stupid. I had pastor friends that called

  521. me, said you're out of your mind.

  522. I had individuals in my family that said it isn't going to.

  523. Hurt for you to just concede just a little bit, but I looked

  524. at my wife and my children. I said I can't concede to what

  525. the adversary wants. I have got.

  526. I do my best to take my steps and let them be ordered by God.

  527. So I continued what I was doing and God begin to move and begin

  528. to bless and our church begin to grow and I was working doing

  529. everything that I could. You know what I did one year?

  530. It was on, it was in a January and it was in the middle of of

  531. the. Of the month we were in the

  532. middle of an ice storm and my son-in-law and I, brother

  533. Champion and I was three story trying to put windows in in the

  534. middle of an ice storm that month.

  535. We made $200. Thank God or we'd have starved

  536. to death. But I'm thankful today that I'm

  537. still standing. Whatever the devil had planned

  538. for me, it didn't work. Whatever the devil has planned.

  539. For you, we'll fail because God intends for it to fail, because

  540. God's got a purpose and a plan for your life.

  541. And if you'll put your hand in the hand of God, He will lead

  542. you and direct you engage. I had people that told me

  543. brother. McGee, you'll never build a

  544. church there. You'll never build a church

  545. there. You ain't got what it takes.

  546. Well, four years ago we moved into a brand new building that

  547. was debt free. I'm not here to gloat about it

  548. because it was not me. My.

  549. Son-in-law and I, we worked. Some long nights, but it was not

  550. us, it was all God. I'm telling somebody when you

  551. begin to cut some things loose in your life and say those

  552. things don't matter as much as God does, then you'll see God do

  553. some things in your life that you never dreamed of.

  554. I don't want to have something broken in my life that I'm

  555. keeping a hold of that keeps me from getting to where God wants

  556. me to be. I know sometimes.

  557. In preaching, it's not popular. I know some of the things that

  558. we preach doesn't tickle everybody's ears.

  559. Bishop McGee, I I just found out last night that here a while

  560. back you had a, a heart attack. But I also found out just last

  561. night that here a while back you also got up and preached.

  562. I want to tell you something milder and I know.

  563. That I know this may sound kind of corny, but you're my hero.

  564. Keep preaching. Keep preaching.

  565. You may not. Kick as high.

  566. You may not run as fast, but keep bringing the word

  567. Hallelujah. Pastor.

  568. McGee, I don't care what they say.

  569. Whatever you do, keep bringing the word.

  570. I know, Doctor Brother. Whatever Mason is, he, who he

  571. is, I know he, I know he can preach.

  572. I'm, I'm trying to encourage him today.

  573. Preach the word. Brother Alex, I want you to keep

  574. preaching the word. It don't matter what anybody

  575. else says or what anybody else does.

  576. People say it's safer on shore, but I choose to go out in the

  577. deep. You know why I want?

  578. To go out into the. Deep because bro in short I

  579. found out my enemies can't swim and when I get out into the deep

  580. I can get away from the enemy. I don't want to listen to the

  581. voice of the adversary when God is telling me go deeper in me.

  582. As long as I've got King Jesus. Come on now.

  583. As long as I've got King Jesus. My God, I.

  584. Love my wife but as long as I got King Jesus I love my

  585. children but as long as. I got king.

  586. Jesus, I love my church, but as. Long as.

  587. I've got King Jesus. I don't need anybody else.

  588. Hallelujah. There's been times during COVID

  589. I stood in our pulpit on live stream and I preached to an

  590. empty building because I had everything shut down.

  591. But I want to tell you what happened when I got a hold of

  592. God and his presence in that building, that was just me and

  593. him. I still felt the presence of

  594. God. I'm here to tell you that when

  595. you get into a place where you can't get a hold of Pastor and

  596. you can't get a hold of Bishop and you can't get a hold of

  597. Brother Mason. Oh, Brother Alex, I want

  598. somebody to know that all you got to do is call upon the name

  599. of Jesus and every demon begins to tremble because it knows the

  600. power that is in the name of Jesus.

  601. As long as he's the focal point. Of the church, as long as he's

  602. the focal point of our families, as long as he's on our.

  603. Side I don't have to worry. I don't have to be concerned.

  604. When I see doubters around. Me, I don't have.

  605. To worry when the service. Isn't just what I thought it

  606. should be. I don't have to.

  607. Worry when I'm seeing the. World in a mess.

  608. Because I know as long as I've got King Jesus, he's going to be

  609. there every day, every moment of my life.

  610. As long as I allow him to order my steps.

  611. As long as I allow him to light my way.

  612. As long as I allow him to direct my path.

  613. Then I don't have to worry about anything else.

  614. Psalms 27 and one. The Bible says it's a Psalm of

  615. David. The Lord is my light and my

  616. salvation. Whom shall I fear?

  617. The Lord. Is the strength of my life.

  618. Whom of whom shall I be afraid, when the wicked, even my enemies

  619. and my foes came upon me to eat in my flesh, They stumbled and

  620. fell though the host. Should encamp against.

  621. Me, my heart. Shall not fear the war should

  622. rise against me, and this will I be confident one thing that I

  623. had desired of the Lord my. God don't desire riches.

  624. Don't desire better jobs, or better cars, or better homes, or

  625. better clothes. One thing, if you got one thing

  626. to desire, David said. One thing have I desire of the

  627. Lord, and that will I seek after her, that I may dwell in the

  628. House of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the the

  629. beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple for in the

  630. time of trouble. He shall hide me.

  631. In his pavilion, in the secret of his Tabernacle.

  632. Shall he hide me? He shall set me up on the rock.

  633. I'm telling somebody we need to put our foot up on the rock,

  634. square our shoulders and say my mind is made-up.

  635. I refuse. To allow the.

  636. Adversary to sidetrack me. My mind is made-up.

  637. And now shall my head be. Lifted up above my enemies

  638. around. Me, therefore will I.

  639. Offer in his Tabernacle sacrifices of joy.

  640. I will sing, yeah, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

  641. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice, and have mercy upon me,

  642. and answer me when thou. Settest seek ye my.

  643. Face my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

  644. Psalms chapter 30 and verse number.

    Psalms 30 chapter mention

  645. Four says saying into the Lord, all you Saints of His give

  646. thanks at his remembrance of His Holiness, for his anger endureth

  647. before a moment, and His favor is life.

  648. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

  649. Can I? Just give you my twist on.

  650. That just a minute the morning May.

  651. Not always be in the. AM.

  652. The morning may be when you finally.

  653. Realize he's been there all the time the morning.

  654. May be when you finally. Realize God, you never left me,

  655. nor did you forsake me, but you're still right by my side.

  656. Family may forsake. You.

  657. Friends may forsake you, cars may fail you, houses may fall

  658. down, jobs may close, but I'm here to tell you today Jesus is

  659. the same. Yesterday, today and forever.

  660. He will never. Leave us, nor forsake us.

  661. If you've ever had a doubt in your mind, God are you there,

  662. all you've got to do is just reach out and you begin to feel

  663. Him and you begin to touch Him. I'm here to tell us today.

  664. I'm going to praise the Lord while I have a chance in any way

  665. that I can. While I have breath in my body,

  666. I'm going to give Him my praise. Stand with me if you would music

  667. if. You'll come.

  668. At our church we have some elderly people.

  669. With some physical issues, probably do here.

  670. I just don't know who you are. Some use a cane and some use a

  671. Walker. I had one person asked me said.

  672. I don't understand the pastor Scott.

  673. How come I see people walking in with a Walker and later on I see

  674. them running past the windows? But when the Spirit of God is

  675. ushered in. They may not.

  676. Be as fast as some of the young. People, I got one girl that runs

  677. like a gazelle. I mean, she's flying.

  678. They may not run as fast, they may not jump as high, they might

  679. not dance. And twirl like some.

  680. Of the young ladies in our church.

  681. Pastor McGee, I watched as they. Get out on the aisle and they

  682. walk as fast as they can. I got 179 year old man.

  683. That he got out just the other day and he he ran just as there

  684. was people passing him in the aisle, he was running.

  685. And I know. I know.

  686. That there are those that said. Pastor, they need to stay in

  687. their seat. But you don't.

  688. Know like he knows you got you got to understand he was

  689. diagnosed with cancer. He came up and he said, pastor,

  690. I need prayer. We prayed for him.

  691. He went back to the doctor to see how they were going to treat

  692. him. The doctor was looking at

  693. everything and checking him out and they did another scan and he

  694. said I don't understand why you're here.

  695. He said. I don't see any form of.

  696. Cancer. You want me to tell you what

  697. Brother Passage did he? Reached in his wallet, he pulled

  698. out a church card. He said Here, come to church and

  699. see what God is doing. Hallelujah.

  700. Had another individual. Had 95%.

  701. Of her heart arteries blocked, she.

  702. Came and got prayer. She went back to the doctor and

  703. the doctor. Says I don't need to see you,

  704. everything's cleared out. I'm telling you what God can do.

  705. I'm telling. You what God can do, there's no.

  706. Problem. What I'm trying to tell

  707. somebody, there's no problem and that's too big.

  708. You're sitting here. Today saying I got a.

  709. Big problem. I'm telling somebody I got a

  710. bigger God. My mom in 2007.

  711. Was diagnosed with Nash disease of the liver, Non alcoholic

  712. cirrhosis of the liver. She went through a terrible time

  713. and numerous treatments and medicine about medicine.

  714. She got so sick with the ammonia building up in her brain and it

  715. would cause. Terrible spells.

  716. And trips to the hospital and she had no idea where she was at

  717. and she would talk out of her head and.

  718. They finally told her the only way you're going.

  719. To live is you're going to have to have a transplant, she.

  720. Waited for five years on a. Transplant list she was.

  721. Sitting on her side of her bed, 1.

  722. Night so sick and she told God, if you want me to live, you're

  723. going to have to help them find a liver for me. 3 1/2 hours

  724. later, IU. Med center called and said you

  725. need to get to the hospital. We drove up there.

  726. And we got. There about 3:40. 5:00 in the

  727. morning, but it wasn't until almost midnight before they took

  728. her in. They had to harvest the other

  729. liver. They had to wait until that

  730. family decided it was time. My mom stayed ready.

  731. The doctor said it's going to be an 8 to 10 hour surgery.

  732. We're going to send a nurse out every couple hours and give you

  733. an update. A couple of hours passed, a

  734. nurse came out and then the. Doctor stepped out.

  735. We held our collective breath because.

  736. He was not supposed to be out until it was over.

  737. I stood up. I walked over to.

  738. Him, I asked him. I said is everything OK?

  739. He said once. We got to her liver.

  740. And we saw the condition of it. She had about two hours to live.

  741. Her liver was completely hardened except for the tip of

  742. it. He said.

  743. What should have took? 8:00 to. 10 hours to complete, I

  744. was able to get the new liver in her.

  745. In two hours. He said.

  746. But you need to enjoy. The next five years, because

  747. that's about all she'll. Get with a new liver, she'll

  748. still die. That was in 2016.

  749. We're. In 2020. 6 Bishop A few weeks

  750. ago, my 82 year old mother had to grab a hold of the.

  751. Bench, but she. Began to dance.

  752. She wasn't dancing like. Everybody else but, she said.

  753. I know what they told me, but I. Know who God is, but that didn't

  754. satisfy. Her she came out of the seat and

  755. she said I got to make a trip around Zion and praise God for

  756. what he has done in my life. I wonder is there anybody in?

  757. This House today they would say I'm going to cut some things

  758. loose that has been holding me back and I refuse to be bound

  759. any longer. Oh, Hallelujah.

  760. I wonder if there's anybody here that would say, pastor, if you

  761. need a worshipper, I'll be a worshipper if you.

  762. Need an owl runner? I'll be an owl runner.

  763. If you need somebody in Sunday school, I'll be there.

  764. If you need somebody to cut the. Yard Pastor.

  765. Don't worry about it. I'll cut the yard.

  766. I call you if you need. Somebody to clean the church.

  767. I know Brother Reese should do a great job, but if you need

  768. somebody to clean the church, I'll help clean the church.

  769. I'll be a doorkeeper. I don't need a position.

  770. I just want to be in the House of God.

  771. Pastor, tell me what you need done.

  772. I want to be a part of the church that's getting ready to

  773. leave this place, Pastor, I'm cutting some.

  774. Things loose. Hallelujah.

  775. What would Pastor McGee do if somebody walked up and said you

  776. got a new St. I'm not in the same way that I

  777. was when I walked in here, but I've been changed because of the

  778. power of an almighty God it. Was a lady that came in that had

  779. a. Cancerous growth on her arm.

  780. It was oozing, it was bloody. It was nasty as stunk.

  781. I need prayer, Pastor. Most people would.

  782. Can I? Use you just to.

  783. Most people just do this. I don't want to touch that nasty

  784. stinky mess, but oh God, I want you to heal this harm.

  785. Hallelujah. Your.

  786. Stripes was for my healing. There's nothing that you can't

  787. do. I want somebody in this house.

  788. Today. That is ever doubted.

  789. If God can heal your body, there's nothing that he cannot

  790. do. We prayed for her.

  791. She went home after church. She called up on the phone.

  792. She said, Pastor, I begin to take that bandage off and that

  793. cancer fell off in the bandage and God has healed my body.

  794. We had a blind individual that. Walked in and said I need prayer

  795. because I'm blind and I've been blind all my life.

  796. We laid hands on them and begin to pray and God begin to move.

  797. And they looked around and said I once was blind, but now I see

  798. I'm telling somebody we need to cut some things loose in our

  799. life. Doubt has to go.

  800. Fear has to go. Unbelief has to go.

  801. Is there anybody in this House today?

  802. That would come up around this front and say I'm going to cut

  803. some things out of my life. God has set me free.

  804. And if God has set me free, why? Should I be bound?

  805. I'm going to the. Next.

  806. Level. I'm tired of sitting on the

  807. sidelines. Put me in the battle, Pastor.

  808. Put me in the game. I came across something.

  809. Let me pass it on to you. It says I'm a soldier in the

  810. army. Of God the Lord Jesus.

  811. Christ. Is my commanding officer the

  812. Holy Bible? Is.

  813. My code of conduct, faith, prayer, and the Word are my

  814. weapons of warfare. I have been taught by the Holy

  815. Ghost, I've been trained by experience, I've been tried by

  816. adversity, and I've been trusted by fire.

  817. I am a volunteer in this army and I'm enlisted for eternity.

  818. I will either retire in this army at the Rapture or I will

  819. die in this army. But I will not get out.

  820. I will not sell out. I will not be talking.

  821. I will not be pushed out. I am faithful.

  822. I am reliable. I am dependable.

  823. If God needs me, I'm here. If he needs.

  824. Me to teach Sunday school. To teach children to work with

  825. the youth or to help adults or just sit and learn.

  826. He can use me because I'm a soldier.

  827. I'm not. A baby.

  828. I don't need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up,

  829. picked up, or picked up. I'm a soldier.

  830. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice

  831. me or lure me because I am a soldier.

  832. I'm not a. Wimp, I am in place saluting my

  833. King, obeying his orders, praising his name and building

  834. his Kingdom. No one has to send me flowers.

  835. Or gifts, or food, or cards, candy, or give me handouts.

  836. I do not need to be cuddled or cradled, cared for or catered

  837. to. I am committed.

  838. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to get me to turn

  839. around. I cannot be discouraged enough

  840. to turn aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me

  841. to quit. When Jesus called me into the

  842. army, I had nothing. And if I end up with nothing, I

  843. still come out ahead. I'm more than a conqueror.

  844. I will always triumph. I can do all things through.

  845. Christ, listen to me very carefully.

  846. Devils cannot defeat. Me.

  847. People cannot. Dissolution.

  848. Me weather cannot weary. Me.

  849. Sickness cannot stop me, battles cannot defeat me, money cannot

  850. buy me, government cannot silence me, and hell cannot

  851. handle me. I'm a soldier.

  852. Even death cannot destroy me, Bishop, for when my commander.

  853. Calls me from this battlefield. He's going to promote me to

  854. captain and bring me back to help him rule the world with

  855. him. I'm a soldier in the army.

  856. I'm marching. I'm claiming victory.

  857. I will not give up. I will not turn around.

  858. I'm a soldier. Do we?

  859. Have any soldiers in? The house.

  860. Is there anybody that's willing? To say the things that I've held

  861. on to, I've held on to for too long.

  862. I've got to give some things up if I'm going to move forward.

  863. I wander all over this house, right?

  864. Now can we lift our hands to the?

  865. Heavens, and can we ask? God.

  866. Lord, take a look at my life. Search me right now if there's

  867. anything God in my life that you need to remove.

  868. Remove what needs to be removed. God.

  869. Put in what needs to be put in, but God.

  870. Change me. Change.

  871. Me. Change me.

  872. Come on. I know.

  873. We got lunch here. In a little.

  874. Bit I know we got activities and plans in our life, but nothing

  875. should take the place of getting to meet God and getting a chance

  876. to have a better relationship with the Lord.

  877. Nothing else matters. Nothing else.

  878. Matters. I feel like.

  879. There's somebody in this? House right now, the desires

  880. right now. God, I want to go to another

  881. level in you. I want to go to another place in

  882. you in which I have not been before.

  883. God, I want you to do things in me that you've never done

  884. before. Hallelujah.

  885. I don't care, my friends. Make fun of me.

  886. I don't care my coworkers make fun of me.

  887. I don't care if my family forsakes me.

  888. I have got to have you. More than anything in the world,

  889. I've got to have you. Hallelujah.

  890. God. Touch her in Jesus.

  891. Name. Touch her in Jesus name.

  892. Touch her in Jesus name. Come on, God.

  893. I put my. Trust I put everything in you

  894. today. Oh Hallelujah.

  895. Oh. Hallelujah.

  896. Oh Hallelujah. Come on.

  897. Reach your hand. Out to.

  898. Somebody. And pray with them right now.

  899. Believe and trust. That God.

  900. Is going to do something powerful in their life today.
