David: How are we this morning?

David: Well, you always have.

David: You always have a nice hat on.

David: I had to look for, like I need a hat.

David: And that's the only hat that was here.

David: So. So this is what I put on it.

David: You know, tomorrow is May first.

David: And you know, why else wouldn't

David: you wear one of these in the

David: middle of May or beginning of

David: So, uh oh, he's roaming around looking for something for mine.

Brother Jim: I must have left it in the other room.

David: I thought we moved everything over here.

David: Oh. Maybe not.

David: We'll have to go searching for it here.

Brother Jim: Yes, we'll go searching for it, but.

Brother Jim: He stole the show with that one action right there.

David: I, you know, before I was this is completely off topic, but

David: before I was married, I had no idea that there was a wrong way

David: to fold a towel.

David: Did you?

Brother Jim: Actually, my mother taught me that.

Brother Jim: Yes.

David: Fold, fold.

David: There you go.

David: That was supposed to be a joke,

David: but in actuality, that is

David: actually true.

Brother Jim: So yes, yes, it is funny when you get married.

Brother Jim: I'm glad you brought that up.

Brother Jim: How?

Brother Jim: Laundry, for example, is done in different households.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Yes.

Brother Jim: And how you wash items.

Brother Jim: Very different.

Brother Jim: Yes.

Brother Jim: And that can turn into a.

David: Well, I, you know, I was I was a single guy for several years.

David: I knew how to do laundry.

David: My mom taught me.

David: But you know, I don't know.

David: There was a wrong way to fold a towel.

David: You just fold it so it looks nice, you know, put it in there.

David: But no, you got to have the ribbons a certain way.

Brother Jim: How do you do your socks?

David: Stick them together and fold them together like that.

David: Is there another way to do them that I'm not aware of?

Brother Jim: Some people ball them up, you know, like little balls and.

David: Well, I mean, they kind of come out looking like a ball once you

David: do the little fold thing.

David: But.

Brother Jim: Yes. Did how do you sort them and match them, I should say.

David: Yes. Yes. Because not all mine are.

David: I mean they're all white but they're not all the same.

Brother Jim: Oh yeah.

David: That thing on them.

David: Yeah. Yeah. They got.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Even dress socks. Yep. Yes.

Brother Jim: Uh, hangers is a huge issue in our house because my wife and

Brother Jim: we've been married sixteen, going on seventeen years.

Brother Jim: I put them on one way.

Brother Jim: She puts them on opposite me.

David: Like hangers on.

David: On the rack, you mean, or the clothes?

Brother Jim: When she puts a shirt on, it goes complete opposite.

Brother Jim: Drives me nuts.

Brother Jim: We could have ten shirts there, and if she does them wrong, I

Brother Jim: have to fix them.

Brother Jim: It's just.

David: How do you put them on a hanger a different way?

Brother Jim: Uh, let's see, uh, if the hook is like this.

Brother Jim: How do I explain it?

Brother Jim: The hook on the hanger has to be pointing to the left.

Brother Jim: Let me let me rephrase that.

Brother Jim: If she puts the hanger going to

Brother Jim: the right, the hook, it drives

Brother Jim: me nuts.

David: Now, I've, I mean, I think the shirts the same.

Brother Jim: I mean, I, I should have said it better how the hanger is

Brother Jim: positioned with the shirt on.

Brother Jim: I have to have the hook facing

Brother Jim: to the left, opening to the

Brother Jim: left, but she does it to the

Brother Jim: right.

David: I just worry about how it goes on the bar.

David: I want, you know, I don't want

David: to have to unhook it from the

David: back.

David: It's gotta go.

David: No, that's.

Brother Jim: Just one of those things.

Brother Jim: And it just drives me nuts.

Brother Jim: And I like to organize my shirts, you know, short sleeve,

Brother Jim: long sleeve work, you know, stuff like that.

David: You sound like a lot of fun to live with.

David: I. Oh, yeah.

Brother Jim: We need to get her on the show sometime.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Yeah, but, I mean, if it makes it out of the basket, so.

David: Well. Yeah. Yeah, we do that too.

Brother Jim: Yeah. Yes. And again, folding the fitted sheets, my friends.

Brother Jim: Are you a pro at that or not?

David: We need I need tips if somebody is because, man, my.

Brother Jim: Mom can fold it.

Brother Jim: I mean, looks perfect me.

Brother Jim: Even with someone helping me, it's still ugly.

David: I get about halfway through it and then I'm like, forget it.

David: I just turn into a ball, you know?

David: It's impossible.

Brother Jim: It is.

Brother Jim: It just it does not click up here.

Brother Jim: And again, it's going on to bed.

Brother Jim: So who cares, right?

Brother Jim: But yeah, it's just those little things in life.

Brother Jim: Maybe.

Brother Jim: Are you one of those.

Brother Jim: Are you a little bit anal like me?

Brother Jim: OCD when it comes to those things.

Brother Jim: Or kitchenware, silverware, for example.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Drives me nuts when the medium forks or the salad forks are

Brother Jim: with the big forks, you know?

Brother Jim: Yes.

David: You're more sophisticated than we are.

David: We just have forks.

David: Spoons?

Brother Jim: Well, we were missing some.

Brother Jim: After a while, I think the kids would take them in their lunches

Brother Jim: and never bring them back.

Brother Jim: So Carrie went out and bought

Brother Jim: some just ordinary forks and

Brother Jim: spoons.

Brother Jim: And it drove me nuts because

Brother Jim: they didn't match the original

Brother Jim: set.

Brother Jim: So yeah.

Brother Jim: Uh, yeah, I am a little off the reservation, if you will, but,

Brother Jim: uh, plans for the weekend?

Brother Jim: Anything going on?

David: No, I don't think so.

David: Like I said, I think tomorrow is May first and spring is

David: officially, officially here.

David: And yes, it's kind.

Brother Jim: Of time to get them gardens in.

Brother Jim: You usually gotta have them in before Memorial Day.

David: And yeah, I gotta do some mulch this spring.

David: So looking to get that done.

Brother Jim: My buddy said, uh, Home Depot up

Brother Jim: in Canton had bags of mulch on

Brother Jim: sale.

Brother Jim: He didn't tell me how much.

Brother Jim: He got forty bags and I'm thinking of his place.

Brother Jim: I'm like, dude, that's a lot of mulch.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Uh, while I'm off, my cousin has a dump trailer he just got.

Brother Jim: So I've already reserved it

Brother Jim: because, uh, gravel, the

Brother Jim: driveway and guy down the road

Brother Jim: has topsoil.

Brother Jim: It's amazing how many holes you

Brother Jim: can accumulate over time as the

Brother Jim: ground settles.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And plus, it takes a toll on the back when you're mowing.

Brother Jim: So it's like, yes, as I said

Brother Jim: before, that's where that

Brother Jim: Steiner bucket.

Brother Jim: Oh yes.

Brother Jim: I've got a, a wheelbarrow that I

Brother Jim: haven't used in probably ten

Brother Jim: years.

Brother Jim: It's one of them double wheeled ones, heavy duty.

Brother Jim: And it's like, why, why I ought to sell it because yeah, yes.

Brother Jim: But the moment I sell it, I'll need it.

David: Absolutely.

Brother Jim: Like a true, true guy.

Brother Jim: Yep. We hold on to it.

Brother Jim: So. All right, how about you, our friends?

Brother Jim: Got any big plans for the weekend?

Brother Jim: Have you been doing any barbecuing, any grilling?

Brother Jim: Maybe been some perfect nights for a fire.

Brother Jim: Oh my goodness.

Brother Jim: So let us know if you've been

Brother Jim: entertaining any of those

Brother Jim: activities.

Brother Jim: You got any camping trips going on?

Brother Jim: Uh, we did just assemble a trampoline.

Brother Jim: Uh, so, uh, wasn't as bad as I thought.

Brother Jim: It actually went together pretty good.

David: That's good.

Brother Jim: Yes, but now I'm thinking because we bought extra straps

Brother Jim: because we don't want it blown away due to all our lovely Ohio.

David: Right.

Brother Jim: Thunderstorms. But I'm thinking

Brother Jim: every time I have to mow now,

Brother Jim: I'm going to have to unstrap

Brother Jim: everything, pull the pins and

Brother Jim: move it.

Brother Jim: So but those are the things mom and daughters don't think about

Brother Jim: the pain in the tushy.

Brother Jim: It is to have to move stuff around.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: We had the kids over the other night and which was great.

Brother Jim: But in the backyard, I mean, chairs were everywhere.

Brother Jim: The little gator for Dawson was in the backyard.

Brother Jim: And it's just like, who's got to clean all this up?

David: I know who has to clean that up.

Brother Jim: Me?

Brother Jim: Yeah. It's still it's okay

Brother Jim: because they were over there,

Brother Jim: so.

Brother Jim: But alrighty, friends.

Brother Jim: A week has almost come to an end.

Brother Jim: What have you done to make this past week to make a difference

Brother Jim: in God's kingdom?

Brother Jim: To make a difference with the

Brother Jim: people you come into contact

Brother Jim: with.

Brother Jim: Now, again, the good thing is the weekend is almost here, so

Brother Jim: settle up, amigos.

Brother Jim: I gotta look up some new phrases for, you know, horses and

Brother Jim: cowboys and all that.

Brother Jim: But we're going to hit the new weekend trail together.

Brother Jim: We still gotta get David a cowboy hat.

Brother Jim: You know, I wonder what you'd look like in one.

David: Yes, I know what I look like in a plastic fireman's hat.

David: It's not pretty.

Brother Jim: Uh, he kills me.

Brother Jim: You're killing me.

Brother Jim: Now, I went to a magicians

Brother Jim: school but flunked the final

Brother Jim: Uh, you probably don't remember, but the old Gong show.

Brother Jim: Today's thought.

Brother Jim: You know, people say that today I am a saved sinner.

Brother Jim: That is like saying you are a married bachelor.

Brother Jim: That is like saying you are an honest thief or a pure harlot.

Brother Jim: You cannot be saved.

Brother Jim: You cannot be a saved sinner.

Brother Jim: You are either saved or you are a sinner.

Brother Jim: He came.

Brother Jim: Thou shalt call his name Jesus.

Brother Jim: He shall save his people from their sins.

Brother Jim: Now, as we continue down this road of discussing salvation, a

Brother Jim: question can and will come up in our own lives.

Brother Jim: What happens when you are saved?

Brother Jim: Well, friends, that is a very good question.

Brother Jim: So glad that you asked.

Brother Jim: When someone accepts salvation, something real happens.

Brother Jim: Now, in our age, the world we

Brother Jim: live in today, reality is so, is

Brother Jim: it not?

Brother Jim: You throw in technology.

Brother Jim: Oh my goodness, am I really watching Brother Jim?

Brother Jim: Or is it a AI feature which are.

Brother Jim: If you go back to, as David will say, our video clips, some of

Brother Jim: the entertainment he has created, which the best one

Brother Jim: still was the Super Bowl run wasn't really Brother Jim, but

Brother Jim: it sure did look like Brother Jim and David.

Brother Jim: Uh, if we were honest, I would have collapsed at about the

Brother Jim: twenty yard line.

Brother Jim: So. And our bobsledding, uh, escapade there.

Brother Jim: Oh, boy.

Brother Jim: In the Olympics?

Brother Jim: Yes.

Brother Jim: Something real happens.

Brother Jim: What is reality to you?

Brother Jim: What is the reality of salvation?

Brother Jim: Something to ponder.

Brother Jim: Now, second Corinthians five seventeen.

Brother Jim: Hopefully you got your Bible.

Brother Jim: Open up with us as we say, as we are told.

Brother Jim: If anyone is in Christ, he is a new, new creation.

Brother Jim: The old has passed away.

Brother Jim: Behold, the new has come.

Brother Jim: Salvation is not just a future promise, it is present reality.

Brother Jim: You are forgiven, made right

Brother Jim: with God, and given a new

Brother Jim: identity.

Brother Jim: You are not just a better version of yourself.

Brother Jim: Now how do we make ourselves better?

Brother Jim: How do we make ourselves a better version?

Brother Jim: The world loves to sell us.

Brother Jim: That, doesn't it, David.

David: It does.

Brother Jim: Think of all the self-help

Brother Jim: books, videos, podcasts, diets,

Brother Jim: drinks.

Brother Jim: Oh, I've got Celsius right here.

Brother Jim: Hey, David.

Brother Jim: By drinking this, I get essential energy accelerates my

Brother Jim: metabolism and burns body fat.

David: Wow. All that from a can.

Brother Jim: And I've been drinking it here.

Brother Jim: And guess what?

Brother Jim: Not one of these things has happened.

Brother Jim: Trying to make myself feel better.

Brother Jim: Trying to make myself better.

Brother Jim: A better version are when we go

Brother Jim: shopping, which I despise for

Brother Jim: clothes.

Brother Jim: Do we not try to make ourselves look better?

Brother Jim: Ah, how about haircuts?

Brother Jim: Which unfortunately has went a long one that went out the door

Brother Jim: for me a long time ago.

Brother Jim: David caught me here before we went on fluffing this, trying to

Brother Jim: make it look better.

Brother Jim: You are not just a better version of yourself.

Brother Jim: And how many times, David, do we

Brother Jim: get caught up in that in our

Brother Jim: life?

Brother Jim: Do we promote that?

Brother Jim: Do we teach our children that to be the best version of you?

Brother Jim: But in all the wrong ways?

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: I mean, it makes money.

Brother Jim: It's a seller, it is a seller.

Brother Jim: And, you know, just in my fifty three years looking back.

Brother Jim: Of all the self-help videos going back to that, the fortune.

Brother Jim: Hey, you want better looking thighs here?

Brother Jim: The thigh master or uh.

Brother Jim: Oh my goodness.

Brother Jim: Uh, there's been some.

Brother Jim: I remember going out and buying

Brother Jim: the one where it helped your

Brother Jim: abdomen by.

Brother Jim: You could get six packs by holding and pulling.

Brother Jim: I think we just paid fifty bucks for that at Walmart.

Brother Jim: Guess what?

Brother Jim: It didn't work because underneath all this blubber, how

Brother Jim: are they going to show?

Brother Jim: Uh oh, we can help you with the blubber, sir.

Brother Jim: You know, by drinking this,

Brother Jim: eating that, doing this, doing

Brother Jim: that.

Brother Jim: Taking one pill a day keeps the fat away.

Brother Jim: Yeah, it doesn't work.

Brother Jim: Usually.

David: Not long term.

Brother Jim: Not long term.

Brother Jim: There you go.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: We are creatures of habit.

Brother Jim: So often you are not just a better version of yourself.

Brother Jim: And we're talking about salvation.

Brother Jim: You are made new.

Brother Jim: It is like a complete reset.

Brother Jim: Not pretending nothing happened,

Brother Jim: but truly changed from the

Brother Jim: inside out.

Brother Jim: Now, David, just think if we could change the outside like a

Brother Jim: car when we get new tires, wouldn't it be great?

David: It would be fantastic.

Brother Jim: I could get.

Brother Jim: Boy, that would be complete overhaul now.

Brother Jim: But unfortunately, we cannot do that, can we?

Brother Jim: Especially as we get older.

Brother Jim: The body is just not willing to do what it used to do.

Brother Jim: But on the inside and the inside is what matters most.

Brother Jim: We can truly change from the inside out.

Brother Jim: That does not mean you become

Brother Jim: perfect overnight, but it does

Brother Jim: mean you are no longer the same

Brother Jim: person.

Brother Jim: So let you and I break this version down, shall we?

Brother Jim: Let's break it down.

Brother Jim: I need a little break dancing music there, you know.

Brother Jim: Bom bom bom bom bom bom bom bom bom.

Brother Jim: Number one.

Brother Jim: If anyone is in Christ.

Brother Jim: This means anyone who believes in Jesus trust him, has accepted

Brother Jim: salvation as well as we cannot forget repented of their sins.

Brother Jim: This promise is for anyone, no matter what their past may be.

Brother Jim: Think about that.

Brother Jim: No matter what your past.

Brother Jim: You are not.

Brother Jim: You are not.

Brother Jim: Uh. You don't give up that

Brother Jim: forfeit because you're such a

Brother Jim: bad person.

Brother Jim: As we talked about earlier, one of those people.

Brother Jim: No, it does not matter.

Brother Jim: It matters now what you're doing.

Brother Jim: And again, I want to throw in

Brother Jim: repentance there because that is

Brother Jim: one of the many things we tend

Brother Jim: to forget about repenting of our

Brother Jim: sins.

Brother Jim: But again, this promise is for anyone, anyone who wants it, who

Brother Jim: accepts that free gift.

Brother Jim: Number two, he is a new creation.

Brother Jim: This is the heart of the verse.

Brother Jim: When someone comes to Jesus Christ, they are not just

Brother Jim: improved, they are made new, a brand new identity.

Brother Jim: Now, David, in our world today, we're always coming out with new

Brother Jim: and improved, are we not?

David: Absolutely.

Brother Jim: You were just telling me about, uh.

Brother Jim: Was it McDonald's?

Brother Jim: That sandwich?

David: Uh, yeah.

David: The big arch.

Brother Jim: The big arch.

Brother Jim: Is it improved?

Brother Jim: You said it was pretty good.

David: It's. It is what the Big Mac should be.

David: Okay.

David: So it's good.

David: I've gotta try one.

David: Yeah.

David: It's good.

David: Yes.

Brother Jim: And I can't remember if we

Brother Jim: talked about it or not, but

Brother Jim: Wendy's went and messed with

Brother Jim: their chicken spicy spicy

Brother Jim: chicken sandwich.

David: Yep.

Brother Jim: Yeah. Toss it out.

Brother Jim: Bring it back.

Brother Jim: The old you didn't improve it.

Brother Jim: So again, a brand new identity.

Brother Jim: How many of us are always looking for that identity?

Brother Jim: Fighting to find out who we really are.

Brother Jim: It's quite simple, really.

Brother Jim: But we turn to everything else

Brother Jim: the world provides to find our

Brother Jim: identity.

Brother Jim: What all we had to do.

Brother Jim: All we have to do is go to God.

Brother Jim: He will make us new.

Brother Jim: It provides a new direction, a new purpose.

Brother Jim: God does not just fix parts of your life.

Brother Jim: He begins a complete.

Brother Jim: One of my favorite words begins transformation.

Brother Jim: Say it with me, boys and girls.

Brother Jim: That's not a gang sign either.

Brother Jim: I don't want you to think I'm promoting any of that.

Brother Jim: The old has passed away.

Brother Jim: The old refers to your life before Christ, which includes

Brother Jim: old habits, old mindset, old identity that shaped our sin,

Brother Jim: that was shaped by sin.

Brother Jim: Our sin.

Brother Jim: Your sin.

Brother Jim: My sin.

Brother Jim: It does not mean your past never

Brother Jim: happened, but it no longer

Brother Jim: defines you.

Brother Jim: Is that true, David?

Brother Jim: In life, how we let things define us, especially our

Brother Jim: mistakes, our past life.

David: So many times I think so.

David: I mean, the older I get, the

David: less I try to let that be the

David: case.

David: But.

David: Right.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And is it not true that we

Brother Jim: always have those people in our

Brother Jim: lives that love to never let us

Brother Jim: forget.

David: Absolutely.

Brother Jim: Oh, my.

Brother Jim: You know, it amazes me how people can be so mean and cruel

Brother Jim: and just nasty.

Brother Jim: They see you riding a mountain,

Brother Jim: you're riding high, you're

Brother Jim: making progress, and they have

Brother Jim: to bring up something from your

Brother Jim: past.

Brother Jim: Now we have the option.

Brother Jim: We have the choice.

Brother Jim: Does that affect us or not?

Brother Jim: But let's be honest, it can.

Brother Jim: You know, as that saying goes, and please don't judge me, but

Brother Jim: it's like, who peed in your Cheerios this morning?

Brother Jim: And it's like, they want to do that to everybody just because

Brother Jim: it happened to them.

Brother Jim: But they don't.

Brother Jim: I think they don't want to see you succeed.

Brother Jim: They don't want to see you be happy.

Brother Jim: And I think everybody can say they got one or two people in

Brother Jim: their life or encountered somebody that loves to do that,

Brother Jim: to bring you down, to bring up your past, but don't let them.

Brother Jim: You're letting them rue the day.

Brother Jim: Let God rule your life.

Brother Jim: Number four the new has come.

Brother Jim: Now there is a new beginning.

Brother Jim: And think about that in Christ through salvation, through

Brother Jim: grace, mercy, and faith.

Brother Jim: You got a brand new beginning to start fresh.

Brother Jim: Think of school.

Brother Jim: Remember the smell of the school on that first day?

Brother Jim: Yeah, the new wax on the floor.

Brother Jim: The new paint.

Brother Jim: You know everything.

Brother Jim: Maybe there wasn't new, but it

Brother Jim: smelled a smell you'll never

Brother Jim: forget.

Brother Jim: You know, when you get new clothes, when you lose weight,

Brother Jim: when you get a new haircut, hairstyle, your nails done.

Brother Jim: It's a new beginning in a way.

Brother Jim: But those things come and those things go.

Brother Jim: But through Christ, through God, it is a brand new beginning.

Brother Jim: New desires, new way of thinking and growing relationship, a

Brother Jim: relationship with God.

Brother Jim: And again, when we talk about our check marks, doing all of

Brother Jim: our actions, we forget one of the most important things the

Brother Jim: relationship with God.

Brother Jim: That's what he wants.

Brother Jim: That's what he desires.

Brother Jim: But we sometimes tend to forget

Brother Jim: that part because we're so busy

Brother Jim: trying to earn our way into

Brother Jim: heaven instead of growing that

Brother Jim: relationship.

Brother Jim: This change does not always

Brother Jim: happen instantly in behavior,

Brother Jim: but it starts immediately in our

Brother Jim: identity.

Brother Jim: Simple meaning second

Brother Jim: Corinthians five seventeen is

Brother Jim: saying to us, when you belong to

Brother Jim: Christ, you.

Brother Jim: You become a new person no matter what.

Brother Jim: All the nay nay people out there say, no matter what the world

Brother Jim: tries to tell you, no matter what Satan tries to tell you,

Brother Jim: you become a new person.

Brother Jim: Your past does not define you anymore.

Brother Jim: A new life has begun.

Brother Jim: So why does this matter?

Brother Jim: This verse gives hope.

Brother Jim: H o p e hope.

Brother Jim: And again, something we need desperately in this world.

Brother Jim: We need to embrace hope.

Brother Jim: You are not stuck being who you used to be.

Brother Jim: Your mistakes do not have the final say anymore.

Brother Jim: Mistakes do not have the final say.

Brother Jim: Real change is possible.

Brother Jim: It's possible through God and God alone.

Brother Jim: What an easy way to remember it in Christ.

Brother Jim: You do not just get a second chance, you get a new life.

Brother Jim: You don't get a second chance.

Brother Jim: You get a new life.

Brother Jim: You get to start fresh if you allow it.

Brother Jim: You put away.

Brother Jim: That's the great thing with God.

Brother Jim: He wiped your slate clean, does he not?

David: He does.

Brother Jim: When you repent, when you turn it over to him.

Brother Jim: It starts new.

Brother Jim: Well, my friends, again,

Brother Jim: something to chew on for the

Brother Jim: weekend.

Brother Jim: I pray you think about it.

Brother Jim: If you don't know Christ as your Lord and Savior, I really want

Brother Jim: to ask you what's stopping you?

Brother Jim: Or maybe you've slipped away.

Brother Jim: What's stopping you from getting back in the saddle again?

Brother Jim: As we've discussed.

Brother Jim: And we're hitting on this, you don't know what tomorrow holds.

Brother Jim: You don't know how many more days.

Brother Jim: I don't know how many more days I have on this earth.

Brother Jim: And again, it's like playing Russian roulette.

Brother Jim: It's a mighty big penalty to pay a cost.

Brother Jim: And again, it's a free gift.

Brother Jim: Now, it was not free for Christ, but it sure is free for you and

Brother Jim: I. What's keeping you back?

Brother Jim: What's holding you back?

Brother Jim: And maybe you might get bold

Brother Jim: enough this weekend or the

Brother Jim: following week, or maybe even

Brother Jim: today.

Brother Jim: Someone you care about, someone you love.

Brother Jim: Just ask them.

Brother Jim: Why not?

Brother Jim: Why not Jesus?

Brother Jim: What is so stinking important in your life that keeps you from

Brother Jim: accepting his gift?

Brother Jim: And maybe that's the sad thing.

Brother Jim: David, we dance and sing around

Brother Jim: because we don't want to offend

Brother Jim: anybody.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And it's not that I am better than you.

Brother Jim: It's not that we're better than anybody else.

Brother Jim: Because it should be coming.

Brother Jim: Because we care.

Brother Jim: We love you.

Brother Jim: We don't want to see you go to hell.

Brother Jim: Why struggle?

Brother Jim: And again, a Christian life, a walk, a journey.

Brother Jim: It's not easy.

Brother Jim: You have your struggles.

Brother Jim: You have your tests, you have your temptation.

Brother Jim: But again, as we say on this

Brother Jim: show, every time, you're not

Brother Jim: alone.

Brother Jim: So again, ask them.

Brother Jim: Be a little bold.

Brother Jim: Ask God to give you the words.

Brother Jim: Maybe you're afraid.

Brother Jim: What kind of words I use?

Brother Jim: Just ask God to give you the words.

Brother Jim: Ask for the right moment to intervene and say, dude, what

Brother Jim: have you got against God?

Brother Jim: What have you got?

Brother Jim: Why don't you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Brother Jim: What are you so afraid of?

Brother Jim: And again, think about this.

Brother Jim: Let's just say, if David and I

Brother Jim: and you were wrong, there is no

Brother Jim: God.

Brother Jim: What?

Brother Jim: Are we out?

Brother Jim: Not a stinking thing.

Brother Jim: But if we're right and I know

Brother Jim: we're right, this world for the

Brother Jim: unbelievers, this is as good as

Brother Jim: it gets.

Brother Jim: Think about that.

Brother Jim: This world and all its nastiness, hate, violence.

Brother Jim: So this is as good as it gets

Brother Jim: because you know what's waiting

Brother Jim: for you.

Brother Jim: Hell.

Brother Jim: But brothers and sisters, again, you can make a choice to make a

Brother Jim: difference in your life.

Brother Jim: A better difference to accept that free gift.

Brother Jim: And we're not saying all the troubles are going away.

Brother Jim: Go away.

Brother Jim: No, but you got somebody who cares.

Brother Jim: Who will lead you, who will guide you.

Brother Jim: But most of all, when this world ends for you, when it ends, for

Brother Jim: I. We know where we're going.

Brother Jim: Eternity Paradise with Jesus.

Brother Jim: With our Lord and Savior.

Brother Jim: With God.

Brother Jim: I'll take that any day.

Brother Jim: Well, that just about does it for this.

David: You know, we live in a world that, uh, doesn't seem to

David: believe in redemption anymore.

David: We've got this cancel culture that, you know, somebody found

David: something out that you did twenty years ago, and we're

David: gonna get him and take him down.

David: I don't know about you, but I'm

David: not the guy I was twenty years

David: ago.

Brother Jim: No.

David: And, you know, there is redemption through Jesus.

David: And no matter what you've done in your past, Jesus can redeem,

David: redeem you and forgive you and make you a new person.

David: You're not that person.

David: You were, you know, ten, twenty,

David: thirty years ago, whatever it

David: was.

David: Yep.

Brother Jim: Yeah. You're right.

Brother Jim: And I've seen, I've seen growth and I've seen slow growth.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: You know, it's a process.

Brother Jim: I'm not going to sit here and BS anybody on that.

Brother Jim: You know there's some things I

Brother Jim: think we exceed at, you know, we

Brother Jim: really catch on and other

Brother Jim: things.

Brother Jim: It's a long haul.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And it all differs between each person.

Brother Jim: So but again, don't let that define you.

Brother Jim: Let Christ define you.

Brother Jim: Let salvation define who you are and you can't go wrong.

Brother Jim: Well, our friends, as we close, please remember you.

Brother Jim: You have value.

Brother Jim: And most of all, you are loved.
