  40. Brother Jim: Speaking of that.

  41. Brother Jim: Hey folks, I wondered why the

  42. Brother Jim: frisbees kept getting bigger and

  43. Brother Jim: bigger.

  44. Brother Jim: Then it hit me.

  45. Brother Jim: How about it?

  46. Brother Jim: First off, let's you and I thank God for another day.

  47. Brother Jim: We did not have to set the alarm for because.

  48. Brother Jim: Glad you asked.

  49. Brother Jim: We're already awake.

  51. Brother Jim: And in case you didn't know, my name is Brother Jim, one half of

  52. Brother Jim: the dynamic duo here on Bible Bibs and a prayer.

  53. Brother Jim: As I like to say, I might be a

  54. Brother Jim: legend in my own mind, a hero

  55. Brother Jim: and absolutely no one else's

  56. Brother Jim: story.

  57. Brother Jim: Welcome to the show.

  58. Brother Jim: Let's turn this into a conversation from a conversation

  59. Brother Jim: into an experience.

  60. Brother Jim: Boy.

  61. Brother Jim: My hat is crooked there.

  62. Brother Jim: Wow.

  63. Brother Jim: Allow me to say, before you get

  64. Brother Jim: too serious, before we get too

  65. Brother Jim: serious and start sounding like

  66. Brother Jim: we've got everything figured

  67. Brother Jim: out.

  68. Brother Jim: I want to bring my co-host in.

  69. Brother Jim: He is living proof that God can

  70. Brother Jim: use imperfect people, because

  71. Brother Jim: otherwise neither of us would be

  72. Brother Jim: here today.

  73. Brother Jim: And now, the moment you've all been waiting for.

  74. Brother Jim: Some churches have worship leaders.

  75. Brother Jim: Some have musicians.

  76. Brother Jim: We've got them.

  77. Brother Jim: And then we have one special dude at Rockford Church who

  78. Brother Jim: keeps everything interesting.

  79. Brother Jim: A man who has promised to be on his best behavior.

  80. Brother Jim: So we'll see how long that will last.

  81. Brother Jim: Give it up, ladies and gentlemen, for my partner in

  82. Brother Jim: podcasting crime, a face that only a mother could love.

  83. Brother Jim: The one, the only, Mr. David Keener.

  84. Brother Jim: Plus, he's one of my best friends in the whole wide world.

  85. Brother Jim: What is going on today, David?

  86. David: Oh, good morning sir.

  87. David: I might not be a musician, but I can play a mean CD player.

  88. Brother Jim: So what's a CD?

  89. Brother Jim: Oh, what is up in Kernersville?

  90. David: Oh, not too much.

  91. David: Not too much.

  92. David: Um, you know, I was recently selected.

  93. David: This is not a joke.

  94. David: By the way.

  95. David: I was recently selected for jury duty.

  96. Brother Jim: Oh.

  97. David: Yes. Got that coming up here in a couple of weeks.

  98. Brother Jim: Guilty. Guilty.

  99. Brother Jim: Guilty.

  100. David: So we'll see how.

  101. David: The Chair We'll see how that goes.

  102. David: But yeah, I've never served in forty in forty six years.

  103. David: I've never served before.

  104. Brother Jim: So I, uh.

  105. Brother Jim: Well, I think I shared that with you.

  106. Brother Jim: I never have and, uh, first time I ever used the pastor get out

  107. Brother Jim: of jail free card.

  108. Brother Jim: So wrote a nice little letter to the magistrate and said, please,

  109. Brother Jim: oh please, brother Jim's got people to take care of.

  110. Brother Jim: They bought it.

  111. Brother Jim: No, seriously.

  112. Brother Jim: But you have to call in, don't you, to see?

  113. David: I do, well, I don't know.

  114. David: I had to fill out a questionnaire.

  115. David: They sent me this questionnaire that I had to do.

  116. David: So you know, I did that.

  117. David: And.

  118. David: Well, I don't I don't know what the process is like.

  119. David: I don't know.

  120. Brother Jim: I think you have to call in if I remember right.

  121. David: Well, they have it on the website.

  122. David: You can because I've been kind of looking into it.

  123. Brother Jim: Yeah. You're more of a techie.

  124. David: Guy last you know, last thing I want to do is not show up when

  125. David: I'm supposed to be there and end up in the slammer.

  126. David: But, uh, you know, look, they got it on the website, but I

  127. David: don't know, like, do I?

  128. David: Is there a chance of being

  129. David: eliminated before it ever

  130. David: starts?

  131. David: Do you have to go and then, you know.

  132. David: Yeah.

  133. David: I don't know how this works.

  134. Brother Jim: I think they have to interview you.

  135. Brother Jim: And I think it depends on what type of case it is.

  136. David: Well, that's if they even have cases because like I said, I've

  137. David: been watching all this week and I think they cancelled the

  138. David: juries every single day.

  139. David: They didn't even come in once.

  140. David: So.

  141. Brother Jim: Yeah. I don't know how well

  142. Brother Jim: you'd look in, uh, stripes, if

  143. Brother Jim: you know.

  144. David: What I mean.

  145. David: Yeah.

  146. Brother Jim: Somehow the Three Stooges comes to mind right here, you know?

  147. Brother Jim: Uh, how was the weekend?

  148. David: It was good.

  149. David: Too short, as usual, but, uh.

  150. Brother Jim: Yeah, I gotta tell you, coming

  151. Brother Jim: back to work here after being

  152. Brother Jim: off.

  153. David: Off?

  154. David: Yeah.

  155. Brother Jim: Yes, I did get some things accomplished.

  156. David: I was gonna ask you if you got any nonsense while you were off.

  157. Brother Jim: Yeah, some good start on a lot of things, but, uh.

  158. Brother Jim: Yeah, working on that farmer's tan, of course.

  159. Brother Jim: Thank you, Lord, for Ohio weather.

  160. Brother Jim: One minute I'm getting

  161. Brother Jim: sunburned, the next minute I'm

  162. Brother Jim: freezing.

  163. Brother Jim: It's like, what is going on, you know?

  164. Brother Jim: And, uh, of course, while I was off, the first week had still

  165. Brother Jim: things to take care of, but it was break down central, which

  166. Brother Jim: maybe if I would take care of my stuff and winterize, it might

  167. Brother Jim: not have that.

  168. David: Wouldn't have those problems.

  169. Brother Jim: Yeah. But. Oh, started mowing right off the bat with the zero

  170. Brother Jim: turn and I slice a tire.

  171. Brother Jim: Oh, yes.

  172. Brother Jim: Break the the price of belts.

  173. Brother Jim: Unbelievable.

  174. Brother Jim: Which, you know, it's just.

  175. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  176. Brother Jim: Well, the other day I hooked the Steiner popped the belt.

  177. Brother Jim: I'm like, seriously?

  178. Brother Jim: And it's got.

  179. Brother Jim: You got to take the whole mower deck off to put the belt on.

  180. Brother Jim: If you're putting a new belt on.

  181. David: Who designed that.

  182. Brother Jim: I don't know.

  183. Brother Jim: Luckily I didn't have since the

  184. Brother Jim: belt was still good, I thought I

  185. Brother Jim: was okay.

  186. Brother Jim: So it slips off again.

  187. Brother Jim: So I whip out the old, uh,

  188. Brother Jim: Google and make sure I'm doing

  189. Brother Jim: it right.

  190. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  191. Brother Jim: I didn't have all the.

  192. Brother Jim: I was one little part off.

  193. Brother Jim: No wonder it was slipping.

  194. Brother Jim: So. And then I broke the belt anyway.

  195. Brother Jim: So down the road.

  196. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  197. Brother Jim: Forty five bucks at Napa for a new belt.

  198. David: Ouch.

  199. Brother Jim: Well, the other one for the zero

  200. Brother Jim: turn last year, that was one

  201. Brother Jim: hundred and twenty for the drive

  202. Brother Jim: belt.

  203. Brother Jim: So, yeah, it's.

  204. Brother Jim: Good grief.

  205. Brother Jim: And then the price of gas because I use a lot of gas

  206. Brother Jim: mowing and all that.

  207. Brother Jim: So yeah.

  208. Brother Jim: How many gas cans you got.

  209. David: I've got well, I've got a straight gas one.

  210. David: I've got a thirty to one thirty or forty to one.

  211. David: Anyway I got three.

  212. David: But two of them have different mixtures of gas oil in them.

  213. Brother Jim: I think I got about fifteen seriously.

  214. Brother Jim: I'm like well at Rural King, they got those ones for twenty

  215. Brother Jim: bucks, like the NASCAR style ones for twenty bucks.

  216. Brother Jim: Those are great.

  217. Brother Jim: Yeah, I keep buying them over

  218. Brother Jim: the years, plus all the old

  219. Brother Jim: ones.

  220. Brother Jim: And it's like, good golly, Jim, how many gas cans can a man own?

  221. David: Well, more than fifteen.

  222. Brother Jim: Yeah, exactly.

  223. Brother Jim: And you know, I my nephew gets

  224. Brother Jim: on me all the time, but anymore

  225. Brother Jim: I just buy the cans already

  226. Brother Jim: pre-mixed.

  227. Brother Jim: Get them at Rural King and that.

  228. Brother Jim: And that's not a shout out to rural King or Lowe's, but it's

  229. Brother Jim: just so much more.

  230. Brother Jim: And I'm just lazy.

  231. Brother Jim: It's so much more convenient, you know, instead of filling up

  232. Brother Jim: a gas can and mixing it.

  233. David: So I just got away from all my two cycle stuff because the two

  234. David: cycle stuff was always the stuff that would never run when you

  235. David: needed it to.

  236. David: Yeah.

  237. David: So I said, the heck with it.

  238. David: I went all battery for that two cycle stuff and my gas, my mower

  239. David: takes straight gas.

  240. David: So no issue there.

  241. Brother Jim: But yeah, well, uh, and again, not doing proper care, I got one

  242. Brother Jim: of them little tillers and that's a running son of a gun.

  243. Brother Jim: Carburetor.

  244. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  245. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  246. Brother Jim: So what do I do?

  247. Brother Jim: I go to Lowe's, and I'm hoping

  248. Brother Jim: to get, like, a little cheap

  249. Brother Jim: one.

  250. Brother Jim: Yeah, well, they only have two

  251. Brother Jim: in stock, two different

  252. Brother Jim: varieties.

  253. Brother Jim: So if I signed up for a contractor's card, I got twenty,

  254. Brother Jim: twenty, twenty five percent off.

  255. Brother Jim: Hey, he's like dude, just use it and then cancel your card.

  256. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  257. Brother Jim: Okay.

  258. Brother Jim: You're talking my lingo.

  259. Brother Jim: There you go.

  260. Brother Jim: All I need is another credit card.

  261. Brother Jim: And I didn't tell the wife either, so.

  262. Brother Jim: Oh, man.

  263. Brother Jim: You.

  264. Brother Jim: Have you come across any good

  265. Brother Jim: dad jokes lately while I've been

  266. Brother Jim: out?

  267. David: Well, I wasn't I wasn't easy for me to say.

  268. David: I was in for a surgery the other

  269. David: day, and I asked the surgeon, I

  270. David: said, can I try doing my own

  271. David: anesthesia?

  272. David: He said, knock yourself out.

  273. Brother Jim: Again, the Three Stooges come to mind.

  274. Brother Jim: I just watched that clip where

  275. Brother Jim: they were pretending to be

  276. Brother Jim: dentists.

  277. Brother Jim: Yeah, and they gotta knock him out.

  278. Brother Jim: Curly grabs the mallet and boom, he's out.

  279. Brother Jim: So, uh.

  280. Brother Jim: Yes.

  281. Brother Jim: Like I said, we can't guarantee

  282. Brother Jim: the humor's good, but at least

  283. Brother Jim: we try.

  284. Brother Jim: Let us remember.

  285. Brother Jim: Another sunrise.

  286. Brother Jim: Another chance to shine.

  287. Brother Jim: A chance to show.

  288. Brother Jim: Come on, spread em out.

  289. Brother Jim: Stretch them out.

  290. Brother Jim: The whole wide world and everyone around you.

  291. Brother Jim: That you are one special person.

  292. Brother Jim: We have been blessed.

  293. Brother Jim: You, David, and myself, along with the barnyard crew.

  294. Brother Jim: Especially miss old Ida Lee.

  295. Brother Jim: Here.

  296. Brother Jim: How you doing, girl?

  297. Brother Jim: Let you and I thank God for another blessed day.

  298. Brother Jim: Whether you are driving, working, or just starting your

  299. Brother Jim: morning coffee, we are glad you are here with us.

  300. Brother Jim: Let us have you know what?

  301. Brother Jim: Let's.

  302. Brother Jim: Let's have and show some gratitude today.

  303. Brother Jim: Remember how a thankful heart

  304. Brother Jim: changes the way we see God,

  305. Brother Jim: others, and even our challenges

  306. Brother Jim: if we allow gratitude in our

  307. Brother Jim: life.

  308. Brother Jim: So come on, come on, come on, my friends.

  309. Brother Jim: Enjoy Mr. David and myself as we say.

  310. Brother Jim: Thank you, Lord, for another day

  311. Brother Jim: of opportunity just waiting for

  312. Brother Jim: you and I to go out and make our

  313. Brother Jim: mark.

  314. Brother Jim: Find that good in life and forget the bad.

  315. Brother Jim: Come on, hot toys.

  316. Brother Jim: Spit it out.

  317. Brother Jim: There we go.

  318. Brother Jim: Here on Bible bibs in a prayer

  319. Brother Jim: we admit life gets weird, gets

  320. Brother Jim: hard.

  321. Brother Jim: But we also talk about why you

  322. Brother Jim: are never actually facing life

  323. Brother Jim: solo.

  324. Brother Jim: It is not a solo trip because we have Jesus.

  325. Brother Jim: Yes, we do rejoice that you are alive.

  326. Brother Jim: You are a creation and hopefully you are a child of God because

  327. Brother Jim: there is a difference.

  328. Brother Jim: When you look in that mirror, remember you are beautiful.

  329. Brother Jim: You are beautiful.

  330. Brother Jim: No matter.

  331. Brother Jim: No matter what you think in the mirror, you're beautiful and you

  332. Brother Jim: matter in this world.

  333. Brother Jim: And most of all, as we say here, oh my goodness, you are loved.

  334. Brother Jim: Now someone in our neighborhood put a huge sofa out by the curb

  335. Brother Jim: for trash collection.

  336. Brother Jim: Since it was in good shape, many

  337. Brother Jim: motorists slowed down for a

  338. Brother Jim: look, but when they saw how

  339. Brother Jim: enormous it was, They would

  340. Brother Jim: leave.

  341. Brother Jim: Eventually a compact car pulled up.

  342. Brother Jim: Two men got out and I said, this is what I've got.

  343. Brother Jim: I've got to see this, I thought.

  344. Brother Jim: They removed the cushions, turned the sofa upside down and

  345. Brother Jim: shook it hard.

  346. Brother Jim: Then they picked up all the

  347. Brother Jim: coins that tumbled out and drove

  348. Brother Jim: off.

  349. David: Smart man.

  350. David: Yeah.

  351. Brother Jim: Why didn't I think of that?

  352. Brother Jim: All right.

  353. Brother Jim: Our thought of the day as we

  354. Brother Jim: continue in our talk of

  355. Brother Jim: salvation.

  356. Brother Jim: If you go back, maybe tune your mind up a little bit.

  357. Brother Jim: We were talking about salvation.

  358. Brother Jim: But why salvation so important?

  359. Brother Jim: Well, here's the thought of the day.

  360. Brother Jim: Hell is the greatest monument to human freedom.

  361. Brother Jim: Ooh, C.S.

  362. Brother Jim: Lewis.

  363. Brother Jim: So let me ask you, my friends, do you believe in heaven?

  364. Brother Jim: Do you believe in hell?

  365. Brother Jim: Now, if we think about the rich

  366. Brother Jim: man and Lazarus, this is coming

  367. Brother Jim: from Luke sixteen nineteen to

  368. Brother Jim: thirty one.

  369. Brother Jim: There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen

  370. Brother Jim: and lived in luxury every day.

  371. Brother Jim: At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with

  372. Brother Jim: sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table?

  373. Brother Jim: Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

  374. Brother Jim: The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him

  375. Brother Jim: to Abraham's side.

  376. Brother Jim: The rich man also died and was

  377. Brother Jim: buried in Hades, where he was in

  378. Brother Jim: torment.

  379. Brother Jim: He looked up and saw Abraham far away.

  380. Brother Jim: With Lazarus by his side.

  381. Brother Jim: He called to him, Father

  382. Brother Jim: Abraham, have pity on me, and

  383. Brother Jim: send Lazarus to dip the tip of

  384. Brother Jim: his finger in water and cool my

  385. Brother Jim: tongue, because I am in agony in

  386. Brother Jim: this fire.

  387. Brother Jim: But Abraham replied, son,

  388. Brother Jim: remember that in your lifetime

  389. Brother Jim: you received your good things

  390. Brother Jim: while Lazarus received bad

  391. Brother Jim: things.

  392. Brother Jim: But now he is comforted here, and you are in agony.

  393. Brother Jim: And besides all this, between us and you, a great chasm has been

  394. Brother Jim: set in place so that those who want to go from here to you

  395. Brother Jim: cannot, nor can anyone cross over there to us.

  396. Brother Jim: He answered, then I beg you,

  397. Brother Jim: father, send Lazarus to my

  398. Brother Jim: family, for I have five

  399. Brother Jim: brothers.

  400. Brother Jim: Let him warn them, so that they will not also come into this

  401. Brother Jim: place of torment.

  402. Brother Jim: Abraham replied, they have Moses and the prophets.

  403. Brother Jim: Let them listen to them.

  404. Brother Jim: No, Father Abraham, he said, but if someone from the dead goes to

  405. Brother Jim: them, they will repent.

  406. Brother Jim: He said to him, if they do not listen to Moses and the

  407. Brother Jim: prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises

  408. Brother Jim: from the dead.

  409. Brother Jim: So today I want to ask you a

  410. Brother Jim: simple but serious question

  411. Brother Jim: again.

  412. Brother Jim: Do you believe in heaven?

  413. Brother Jim: Do you believe in hell, David?

  414. Brother Jim: Do you believe in heaven?

  415. Brother Jim: Do you believe in hell?

  416. David: Yeah, yeah I do.

  417. David: And you know, if somebody says, I believe in heaven, but I don't

  418. David: believe in hell.

  419. David: I don't believe.

  420. Brother Jim: God would.

  421. David: Send us. Right. Well, I mean, if you believe in one, you kind of

  422. David: have to believe in the other.

  423. David: It's kind of like if you believe in God, you you have to believe

  424. David: in the devil.

  425. David: It's just the way it is.

  426. Brother Jim: So friends watching, do you believe in heaven?

  427. Brother Jim: Do you believe in hell?

  428. Brother Jim: And as David said, you know, we hear that a lot.

  429. Brother Jim: Well, what kind of God would send.

  430. Brother Jim: Let me stop you right there.

  431. Brother Jim: God does not send anybody to hell.

  432. Brother Jim: We ourselves send ourselves to hell.

  433. Brother Jim: Free will, my friends, free will.

  434. Brother Jim: Now, in Luke sixteen, Jesus tells us about a rich man and a

  435. Brother Jim: beggar named Lazarus.

  436. Brother Jim: As we just discussed after

  437. Brother Jim: death, their destinies are

  438. Brother Jim: completely different.

  439. Brother Jim: Lazarus is comforted in the

  440. Brother Jim: presence of God and the rich

  441. Brother Jim: man.

  442. Brother Jim: Ooh, all that money, all that good stuff he had.

  443. Brother Jim: He is now in torment.

  444. Brother Jim: This is just not a story to entertain us.

  445. Brother Jim: No, no, no. It is a warning from Jesus about eternity.

  446. Brother Jim: Number one.

  447. Brother Jim: Heaven and hell are real.

  448. Brother Jim: Jesus spoke more about eternal

  449. Brother Jim: destination than almost anything

  450. Brother Jim: else.

  451. Brother Jim: Heaven is real and hell is real.

  452. Brother Jim: One eternal life with God.

  453. Brother Jim: The other is eternal.

  454. Brother Jim: And here we go.

  455. Brother Jim: We think about what do you think of hell, David?

  456. Brother Jim: What's the worldly view on hell?

  457. Brother Jim: Or even Christians?

  458. Brother Jim: What has society painted?

  459. Brother Jim: I'm putting you on the spot.

  460. David: Yeah. You are.

  461. David: I'm not really sure how to say that a different way.

  462. Brother Jim: Well, okay.

  463. Brother Jim: I can't help but think of cartoons.

  464. David: Okay.

  465. Brother Jim: Good old Yosemite Sam from Bugs Bunny.

  466. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  467. Brother Jim: I remember a couple times he descended into hell.

  468. Brother Jim: And we see the pitchfork.

  469. Brother Jim: We see the horns, we see the fire.

  470. David: Gotcha.

  471. Brother Jim: The little demons running around, right?

  472. Brother Jim: Yep.

  473. Brother Jim: You know, and it never dawned on to me until a couple years ago.

  474. Brother Jim: Separation.

  475. Brother Jim: Complete separation from God.

  476. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  477. Brother Jim: Because here on earth, you still have opportunity.

  478. Brother Jim: God, the Holy Spirit is present, right?

  479. Brother Jim: So if you believe in a Trinity, God the Father and the Holy

  480. Brother Jim: Spirit, the Holy Ghost.

  481. Brother Jim: So think about that.

  482. Brother Jim: No God, no chance.

  483. Brother Jim: No second chance, no mulligan.

  484. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  485. Brother Jim: One is eternal life with God, which I'll take any day.

  486. Brother Jim: And the other is eternal separation from him.

  487. Brother Jim: Oh, Jim, come on now.

  488. Brother Jim: I'm going to be die.

  489. Brother Jim: I'd rather be in hell with all my buddies.

  490. Brother Jim: True.

  491. Brother Jim: We hear that?

  492. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  493. Brother Jim: Oh, Jim, we're going to have a big bonfire.

  494. Brother Jim: We're going to be partying down.

  495. Brother Jim: No no no no.

  496. David: You might think that, but that's not going to be the case.

  497. Brother Jim: Not going to be the case.

  498. Brother Jim: Scripture does not present them

  499. Brother Jim: as ideas or symbols, but as real

  500. Brother Jim: realities.

  501. Brother Jim: Say that word with me.

  502. Brother Jim: Reality number two.

  503. Brother Jim: Our choices matter.

  504. Brother Jim: Now.

  505. Brother Jim: David, let me ask you, does Jesus care about your past?

  506. Brother Jim: Uh, does he care about what you did prior to.

  507. David: As soon as I figure out the

  508. David: buttons here, I'm messing this

  509. David: all up.

  510. David: I mean, not once you ask for forgiveness.

  511. David: No, he forgets it.

  512. Brother Jim: Completely forgiven.

  513. David: Yeah.

  514. Brother Jim: And to me, he doesn't care about your past.

  515. Brother Jim: He cares about this moment.

  516. Brother Jim: Yep.

  517. Brother Jim: And tomorrow, the future.

  518. Brother Jim: Will you cry out?

  519. Brother Jim: Will you repent?

  520. Brother Jim: Or better yet, let me start saying I need Jesus in my life.

  521. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  522. Brother Jim: And then repent and ask for his

  523. Brother Jim: forgiveness and ask for

  524. Brother Jim: salvation.

  525. Brother Jim: Now the rich man, he was living high on the hog, right?

  526. Brother Jim: Yep.

  527. Brother Jim: Driving his Lexus B, I don't

  528. Brother Jim: know any fancy cars other than

  529. Brother Jim: Lexus Beamer's.

  530. Brother Jim: Mercedes.

  531. Brother Jim: You know, however you want to

  532. Brother Jim: see it eating the the best of

  533. Brother Jim: foods.

  534. Brother Jim: Now you know I'm joking about what he was driving.

  535. Brother Jim: But again, in today's age, our

  536. Brother Jim: society drives that, do they

  537. Brother Jim: not?

  538. David: Right.

  539. Brother Jim: The lifestyles of the rich and famous.

  540. Brother Jim: I can't imitate that dude, but, you know.

  541. Brother Jim: Uh, but number two, our choices matter.

  542. Brother Jim: Now.

  543. Brother Jim: The rich man in the story waited too long.

  544. Brother Jim: He had opportunities.

  545. Brother Jim: He was warned, but he ignored them.

  546. Brother Jim: Eternity, my friends, is not decided after death.

  547. Brother Jim: It is shaped by what we do with Christ in this life.

  548. Brother Jim: Today.

  549. Brother Jim: Tomorrow.

  550. Brother Jim: Uh. I hit the wrong button.

  551. Brother Jim: David.

  552. David: I'll tell you.

  553. David: We're just hitting wrong buttons all over the place.

  554. David: I'm blacking the screen out.

  555. Brother Jim: We're off a little bit, and, uh, boom.

  556. David: You give us a week off, and this is what happens.

  557. Brother Jim: What happens?

  558. Brother Jim: Sorry, folks, we're getting right back to it again.

  559. Brother Jim: As I said, eternity is not decided after death.

  560. Brother Jim: It is shaped by what we do with Christ in this life.

  561. Brother Jim: Second Corinthians six two says, for he says, in the time of my

  562. Brother Jim: favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.

  563. Brother Jim: I tell you now, this is the time of God's favor.

  564. Brother Jim: Now is the day of salvation.

  565. Brother Jim: Not tomorrow, not later.

  566. Brother Jim: Now.

  567. Brother Jim: Number three, God's heart is for salvation, not condemnation.

  568. Brother Jim: Uh, John seventeen or John three sixteen.

  569. Brother Jim: We all know so well, but John three seventeen, Jesus didn't

  570. Brother Jim: come to condemn the world.

  571. Brother Jim: He came to save the world.

  572. Brother Jim: God does not delight in anyone being lost.

  573. Brother Jim: Now, as I just mentioned, John three sixteen reminds us that

  574. Brother Jim: God loved the world so much that he sent his son so that whoever

  575. Brother Jim: believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

  576. Brother Jim: Jesus came to rescue us from our sin and bring us into eternal

  577. Brother Jim: life with him.

  578. Brother Jim: Do we understand that?

  579. Brother Jim: I hope you do.

  580. Brother Jim: The call.

  581. Brother Jim: This call is urgent.

  582. Brother Jim: The reality of heaven and hell should wake you up spiritually.

  583. Brother Jim: Think about a big old earthquake.

  584. Brother Jim: Thank God we really don't have them in Ohio that much.

  585. David: Yep.

  586. Brother Jim: But, uh, think of them poor souls out in California.

  587. Brother Jim: What?

  588. Brother Jim: They go through San Francisco and all that?

  589. Brother Jim: Yeah, that's going to shake you up a little bit.

  590. Brother Jim: It should move us.

  591. Brother Jim: Take our faith seriously.

  592. Brother Jim: And I'm sorry.

  593. Brother Jim: Here we go.

  594. Brother Jim: How many of us take our faith seriously this day and age?

  595. Brother Jim: Because why?

  596. Brother Jim: We are too busy.

  597. Brother Jim: Number one time, time, time and all the entertainment.

  598. Brother Jim: All the things.

  599. Brother Jim: But Brother Jim, I got reels to watch.

  600. Brother Jim: Brother Jim, I gotta update my TikTok.

  601. Brother Jim: I don't know if you update your TikTok or not, David, but, you

  602. Brother Jim: know, uh, my profile pictures.

  603. Brother Jim: You know who if I had a camera here.

  604. Brother Jim: David.

  605. Brother Jim: Smile, man.

  606. Brother Jim: We'll get one right here.

  607. Brother Jim: A little Italy.

  608. Brother Jim: You know, the monkeys too grumpy to get a picture today.

  609. Brother Jim: Take our faith.

  610. Brother Jim: Take your faith seriously.

  611. Brother Jim: Share Christ with others.

  612. Brother Jim: Live ready for eternity.

  613. Brother Jim: Now, David, to me we cannot comprehend eternity, can we?

  614. Brother Jim: I don't think our human mind.

  615. Brother Jim: I've tried.

  616. Brother Jim: Yeah, I'm not saying much with my mind but can't comprehend it.

  617. Brother Jim: No, no. Forever.

  618. Brother Jim: Say that word with me forever.

  619. Brother Jim: And if you're not in heaven, then you're in hell.

  620. Brother Jim: And who wants to be in hell forever?

  621. Brother Jim: We do not know how much time we have.

  622. Brother Jim: How true that is here in this life right now.

  623. Brother Jim: But we do know this.

  624. Brother Jim: Eternity is certain.

  625. Brother Jim: So I ask again, do you believe

  626. Brother Jim: in heaven and do you believe in

  627. Brother Jim: hell?

  628. Brother Jim: And if you don't, why not?

  629. Brother Jim: And here's the thing I'm going to throw at you.

  630. Brother Jim: Just for argument's sake, let's

  631. Brother Jim: just say heaven and God is not

  632. Brother Jim: real.

  633. Brother Jim: When you really die, there is nothing.

  634. Brother Jim: Versus a Christian.

  635. Brother Jim: Okay.

  636. Brother Jim: What, are we out?

  637. Brother Jim: David?

  638. David: Well, nothing.

  639. Brother Jim: Nothing?

  640. Brother Jim: Nothing at all.

  641. Brother Jim: Not out.

  642. Brother Jim: Anything.

  643. Brother Jim: But.

  644. Brother Jim: And there's that big old.

  645. Brother Jim: But if we're.

  646. Brother Jim: If it's real and you don't have Christ as your Lord and Savior,

  647. Brother Jim: you're not going to heaven.

  648. Brother Jim: This is as good as it gets, my friends.

  649. Brother Jim: This life I just heard the other day, someone said, oh, well,

  650. Brother Jim: heaven's here now.

  651. Brother Jim: Well, explain this to me.

  652. Brother Jim: Why am I bald?

  653. Brother Jim: Why is the body breaking down?

  654. Brother Jim: Uh. If this is heaven now, we got gypped.

  655. Brother Jim: True, David.

  656. David: That's for sure.

  657. Brother Jim: Yeah. Yeah. Where's my six pack at?

  658. Brother Jim: Uh, but no, this isn't heaven.

  659. Brother Jim: One day it will be the New Jerusalem.

  660. Brother Jim: When it's all said and done.

  661. Brother Jim: But for now, our faith will carry us through our faith.

  662. Brother Jim: So if we truly believe it, it

  663. Brother Jim: will change how we live, how we

  664. Brother Jim: love, and how we share the

  665. Brother Jim: gospel.

  666. Brother Jim: Have you shared the gospel this week with anybody?

  667. Brother Jim: MM. Good question.

  668. Brother Jim: I'll let you chew on that one.

  669. Brother Jim: But today is the day to make sure our lives are right with

  670. Brother Jim: God through Jesus Christ.

  671. Brother Jim: If you got questions you don't understand or you question it,

  672. Brother Jim: give us a call.

  673. Brother Jim: Email us, comment.

  674. Brother Jim: My friends, let me say that one more time.

  675. Brother Jim: Today is the day to make sure

  676. Brother Jim: your life, your life is right,

  677. Brother Jim: right, right with God through

  678. Brother Jim: Jesus Christ.

  679. Brother Jim: Amen.

  680. Brother Jim: Well, my friends, that just about does it for this.

  681. Brother Jim: Tuesday, May twelve, twenty twenty six.

  682. Brother Jim: Mr. David, my friend, any

  683. Brother Jim: closing thoughts or comments for

  684. Brother Jim: this segment?

  685. David: You know, while you were talking about hell and how it's the

  686. David: absence of Jesus, you know, a thought came to my mind, uh,

  687. David: Pastor Mooney, God rest his soul, used to tell a story from

  688. David: when he was a younger preacher.

  689. David: He was coming back from Florida,

  690. David: he was going through one of the

  691. David: tunnels that you go through

  692. David: there on seventy seven, and as

  693. David: soon as he hit that tunnel, he

  694. David: just had this overwhelming,

  695. David: like, doom.

  696. David: And like, he thought he was going to die.

  697. David: He didn't think he was gonna make it through the tunnel.

  698. David: And he didn't have any fear of tunnels or anything like that.

  699. David: And he got out the other side and it lifted.

  700. David: And he asked God.

  701. David: He said, God, what in the world was that?

  702. David: He said, when you entered that

  703. David: tunnel, one of the saints that

  704. David: had been praying for you for

  705. David: years for your ministry passed

  706. David: away, really?

  707. David: And in that time he said, I raised up somebody else in the

  708. David: time it took you to get to the other side of that tunnel.

  709. David: I was like, there's kind of an example of when you don't have,

  710. David: you know, when God is absent or there's not that prayer.

  711. David: I mean, there's a war out there, folks.

  712. David: There's a spiritual war out there.

  713. Brother Jim: That I've been through the battles.

  714. Brother Jim: Yeah, I've been through it.

  715. Brother Jim: If you want to talk about that, I'll be more than happy to share

  716. Brother Jim: my testimony with you on that, because I've been in the

  717. Brother Jim: darkness like a lot of you and, uh, you know, get a little just

  718. Brother Jim: a just a taste of it.

  719. Brother Jim: Go in your bedroom at night or

  720. Brother Jim: in a room where you have no

  721. Brother Jim: light.

  722. Brother Jim: Make sure your lights are shut off.

  723. Brother Jim: A little freaky, isn't it?

  724. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  725. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  726. Brother Jim: Now add everything else.

  727. Brother Jim: And again, it's not even come close.

  728. Brother Jim: But yeah, you know, when you can't see where you're going,

  729. Brother Jim: it's a little.

  730. Brother Jim: And I could see where the tunnel, you know.

  731. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  732. Brother Jim: What if that tunnel had blacked out?

  733. Brother Jim: No lights and you're stuck in there.

  734. Brother Jim: That would be.

  735. Brother Jim: Yeah.

  736. David: Yeah.

  737. Brother Jim: So, our friends, as we close, please remember you.

  738. Brother Jim: Yes, you have meaning.

  739. Brother Jim: You have value.

  740. Brother Jim: And most of all, you are loved.

  741. Brother Jim: May God continue to bless you just as well.

  742. Brother Jim: May you and I continue to thank our Lord above for all of our

  743. Brother Jim: blessings each and every day.

  744. Brother Jim: And if we meet again, then well, then we will smile and rejoice.

  745. Brother Jim: And if not, then this parting was well made.

  746. Brother Jim: Thank you for joining David and

  747. Brother Jim: myself here on Bible bibs and a

  748. Brother Jim: prayer.

  749. Brother Jim: This is the big guy, Brother Jim, out.
