Brother Jim: But God's truth remains the same each and every day.

Brother Jim: Well, we're coming up on the Fourth of July weekend pretty

Brother Jim: soon here, so maybe not that quite that fast.

Brother Jim: We don't want any blue lights flashing behind.

Brother Jim: That's right.

Brother Jim: We do not need any speeding tickets before breakfast.

Brother Jim: Uh, but we are ready for another great day together.

Brother Jim: This is Bible bibs and a prayer where faith is real, laughter is

Brother Jim: Number one, we're just grateful you're here with us.

Brother Jim: And since you're here, why don't you just sit back, relax, ignore

Brother Jim: your responsibilities for just a few minutes, you know?

Brother Jim: And again, as I always say, pretend your inbox does not

Brother Jim: exist or there's little dings from your phone telling you you

Brother Jim: have a notification.

Brother Jim: And really, at the end of the

Brother Jim: day, it's a bunch of blah, blah,

Brother Jim: blah.

Brother Jim: Most of the time, spend a little time laughing, learning and

Brother Jim: growing together in Christ.

Brother Jim: Because around here we believe

Brother Jim: life is serious enough already,

Brother Jim: so we might as well walk through

Brother Jim: it with a little faith, a little

Brother Jim: laughter, and a whole lot of

Brother Jim: grace.

Brother Jim: You know what, folks?

Brother Jim: A man walks into his doctor's

Brother Jim: office and says, doctor, I've

Brother Jim: eaten something that disagrees

Brother Jim: with me.

Brother Jim: A voice from the man's stomach says, no, you haven't.

Brother Jim: I like some peace and quiet while I'm cooking.

Brother Jim: So I took the battery out of the smoke detector.

Brother Jim: And how funny that is going to come up in just a few.

Brother Jim: Yes, it's double joke.

Brother Jim: many years and complained about technology for most of them?

Brother Jim: That is correct.

Brother Jim: I know I've used that one before.

Brother Jim: And I tell you, David, it's harder and harder to find good

Brother Jim: But he is my co-host and partner in crime.

Brother Jim: The man is back with us today.

Brother Jim: A man who has the unique ability

Brother Jim: to make fun of me, himself and

Brother Jim: the entire situation all before

David: You know, the other day my wife

David: asked me if I'd seen the dog

David: bowl.

David: I said I didn't know that he could.

Brother Jim: Bring in a bowling ball.

David: And then shortly after that, the police knocked on the door.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

David: And they said, sir, there's been complaints about your dog

David: chasing a kid on his bicycle.

David: I shut the door on him.

David: My dog doesn't own a bicycle.

Brother Jim: Ah, yes.

Brother Jim: The best color commentator in the business, as I always say.

Brother Jim: But anything new in Courville?

David: Not too much like we talked about Tuesday.

David: Been gearing up for a monster jam this weekend.

David: So excited for that.

David: And you had asked me a couple of

David: weeks ago, you said I need to

David: make a cooking video on the

David: black stone for the ladies and

David: gentlemen.

David: Oh, yeah, and I have done such a thing.

David: Oh, so.

Brother Jim: It is time.

David: If we can indulge me for about five or so minutes.

Brother Jim: Here.

David: Indulge us.

David: We'll take a look at me showing

David: you how to cook on the black

David: stone.

Brother Jim: All right, let's get to it.

David: Well, hey there, brother Jim wanted me to make a video on the

David: cooking on the black stone, and we were cooking burgers tonight,

David: so I thought, no better time than the present to go ahead and

David: do a Smash Burger video.

David: What I'm putting on here right

David: now is a little bit of beef

David: tallow.

David: I used to cook with canola oil and I didn't care for the taste.

David: It left, so I started cooking with beef tallow and oh my

David: goodness, does it taste amazing.

David: Cannot recommend it enough.

David: Get that spread around.

David: Could not have had better timing.

David: I was getting the grill ready and I was just about to go get

David: the stuff to check it.

David: And, uh, the tank ran out so I hadn't put any food on it yet.

David: Don't you hate it when you run

David: out right in the middle of

David: grilling?

David: It's the worst.

David: Thankfully, we won't have that problem tonight.

David: All right, that should be good.

David: I will be back in a minute with the meat.

David: All right, here we go.

David: Now, the beautiful thing about smash burgers is you don't have

David: to go through the hassle of pressing the patties and getting

David: them into a nice shape.

David: You just throw them on here as is.

David: And then you smash them.

David: Hope this makes clipped on good.

David: I don't need a side of fried microphone.

David: All right then.

David: The only thing left to do is go.

David: Hey, Siri, set a timer for four minutes.

David: Oh, they're looking good.

David: Beautiful day out here.

David: These are almost ready to flip.

David: We got.

David: And what I like to do is melt the cheese.

David: I gotta tell you, I love this black stone.

David: I want one for several years, and I wanted a specific.

David: I'm very particular, as most men are.

David: We know what we want, right?

David: I wanted one that had the built

David: in lid and was the big full size

David: griddle.

David: And they were so expensive it

David: was the most expensive one

David: Blackstone made.

David: It's like five hundred bucks.

David: I didn't want to spend that kind of money.

David: I'm cheap.

David: Right?

David: Kept looking, kept looking.

David: Just so happened last year in the fall, Walmart clearance.

David: These brand new in a box.

David: One hundred bucks with the lid.

David: So I got me one brand new on the cheap.

David: And I'll tell you what best thing I ever bought.

David: I have not used that other grill

David: since the day I bought this

David: thing.

David: Now I'm gonna go inside and get my little secret recipe, if you

David: will, the piece de resistance.

David: I'll be right back.

David: These will go on in about a minute.

David: We've got buttered buns.

David: Throw them right on the griddle,

David: just like they do at the

David: restaurants.

David: Mhm.

David: So good, brother Jim.

David: Eat your heart out.

David: This is gonna be such a great meal.

David: Cheese starting to melt.

David: Oh, yeah.

David: Loving it.

David: gonna go ahead and throw these buns on here.

David: Get them toasted up.

David: Tell you what this is.

David: This is about restaurant quality when it's done right.

David: We'll let them cook for a minute or so.

David: These will be set.

David: Pull the buns off first so they don't get annihilated.

David: Those are looking good.

David: Now we'll get the burgers off of here.

David: And the whole best thing about a Blackstone is the cleanup.

David: I'm gonna take these burgers inside first, and I'll come back

David: and clean this up.

David: All right?

David: Cleanup is simple.

David: I got my scraper.

David: Anything that's cooked on, baked on.

David: Anybody who's ever been a short

David: order cook knows what this is

David: all about.

David: I have not been a short order cook until I got this thing.

David: The last thing we need to do is reseason this for next time.

David: So I'm going to crank the heat up to high and I'll be right

David: back to receive it.

David: All right.

David: This is just something you do to ready it for the next time.

David: Get your tallow on here.

David: Get it all seasoned up again.

David: Also protects it from rust.

David: Last thing you want is to have to deal with a rusty griddle.

David: Come on.

David: There we go.

David: You just put a thin layer of

David: beef tallow across the whole

David: surface here.

David: Yeah, this is hot.

David: Let it smoke off.

David: Just let it smoke off while you're eating.

David: That's what I do.

David: No sense in standing here.

David: And it'll be ready to go.

David: I may not have any hair left on

David: my knuckles when this is all

David: done.

David: Beef tallow is basically rendered beef fat.

Brother Jim: Essentially you pick it up in a store.

David: You can.

David: I'll tell you, if you go to a

David: grocery store, it's stupid

David: expensive.

David: You get a container like this and it's like fourteen dollars.

David: But if you go to the Amish store there in Dover, right there by

David: the highway, you can get a container that's like this.

David: I don't know what is that, a pint, a quart like that.

David: Six bucks.

David: Okay, so that's the place to go.

Brother Jim: To get a little shout out to the Dover Amish.

David: I forget the name of this.

Brother Jim: Right there by KFC.

Brother Jim: Yeah yeah yeah.

Brother Jim: Alrighty.

Brother Jim: Number two.

Brother Jim: Were those four burgers just for you?

David: No. However, three of them were now not in the same meal

David: because, you know, a container of ground beef makes about four

David: burgers and my wife eats one, I eat two, and then the next day,

David: one for lunch.

David: Okay, so that doesn't really make it any better.

David: Seventy five percent of them go to me.

Brother Jim: But no, I was just, you know, as a glutton myself and fellow beef

Brother Jim: lover, I'm like four.

David: And my wife makes a special one.

David: Hers is called an A1 burger.

David: It's a regular burger, but she mixes A1 sauce in with it.

David: Yeah, yeah.

David: So yeah.

Brother Jim: Oh, you could do a little bacon on there.

Brother Jim: Onions are in the onions.

Brother Jim: Oh, yeah.

David: I'm always looking for good stuff.

David: We did, uh, Saturday we had dinner at my in-law's house and

David: we did crunch wraps on their Blackstone, and they were

David: delicious, like the tortilla.

David: And you put the taco stuff in

David: and fry it up on the on the

David: Blackstone.

David: But man, is it a lot of work.

David: There's no way I'd make them at home.

David: It's too much work.

David: Like the grilling part is easy, but the assembly and getting it

David: right now, I'm not doing that.

Brother Jim: Well, if you noticed, I moaned

Brother Jim: whenever you said one hundred

Brother Jim: dollars at Walmart this fall, I

Brother Jim: will be looking to see if they

Brother Jim: have any.

David: It wasn't even Philly to.

David: It was Worcester.

David: Walmart.

David: I don't even know how my Walmart app ended up on Worcester.

David: I don't know if I was doing a

David: search or what it was, but it

David: was just the Worcester, Ohio

David: store really.

David: And they delivered it.

Brother Jim: Oh, we we bought you gotta be kidding.

David: Between me, between me and my in-laws.

David: We bought four of these things

David: and like, we'll find somebody,

David: somebody's gonna want these

David: things.

David: And I got, I took, I got one and my in-laws got one.

Brother Jim: And I would've known I would have bought one.

Brother Jim: Man, if you ever come across the

Brother Jim: deal again like that, let me

Brother Jim: know.

Brother Jim: I will let you know.

Brother Jim: Yep.

Brother Jim: Yes.

Brother Jim: And again, the weekend is almost here.

Brother Jim: So go ahead, take a breath.

Brother Jim: Stretch those shoulders, maybe even crack a smile.

Brother Jim: You've been hiding since Monday.

Brother Jim: Because now it is time.

Brother Jim: Yes it is.

Brother Jim: To saddle up and hit that brand new weekend trail together.

Brother Jim: Hi ho, we go.

Brother Jim: And listen, I know you might feel a little tired.

Brother Jim: A little worn down.

Brother Jim: Maybe just a little.

Brother Jim: I just need another five minutes.

Brother Jim: Ten minutes of silence and a snack.

Brother Jim: I have some devastating news.

Brother Jim: I still like to think I'm cool,

Brother Jim: even though my wife and children

Brother Jim: may not.

David: Cool in their own right?

Brother Jim: Yeah, that's right.

Brother Jim: Even the church there.

Brother Jim: Oh, boy.

Brother Jim: Could you imagine having a yearbook for church?

Brother Jim: Handing around, having people sign?

David: We should try that next time we do a directory, just see what

David: people's reactions are.

Brother Jim: Especially for the pastor.

Brother Jim: Uh, you can give me that till when it's all done.

Brother Jim: I want to make sure I get it yet

Brother Jim: so no one else sees what your

Brother Jim: thoughts are.

Brother Jim: All right.

Brother Jim: Today's thought for freedom.

Brother Jim: Christ has set us free.

Brother Jim: Stand firm, therefore, and do

Brother Jim: not submit again to a yoke of

Brother Jim: slavery.

Brother Jim: We talked about that in Galatians five one.

Brother Jim: But again, let's go back to it.

Brother Jim: But I got a little reading here for you.

Brother Jim: The forgotten gift.

Brother Jim: A young man received a brand new truck from his grandfather when

Brother Jim: he graduated from high school.

Brother Jim: Now, that's a nice.

Brother Jim: That's a nice present.

Brother Jim: His grandfather had worked hard

Brother Jim: his entire life, saving the

Brother Jim: money for years so he could give

Brother Jim: his grandson's grandson

Brother Jim: something special.

Brother Jim: At first, the young man was grateful.

Brother Jim: He proudly drove the truck everywhere.

Brother Jim: But as time passed, he stopped appreciating it.

Brother Jim: He left trash inside it.

Brother Jim: He neglected maintenance.

Brother Jim: He drove recklessly.

Brother Jim: He treated the gift as if it had cost nothing.

Brother Jim: One day, while visiting his grandfather, he noticed an old

Brother Jim: photograph hanging on the wall.

Brother Jim: It showed his grandfather

Brother Jim: working long hours on a

Brother Jim: construction site.

Brother Jim: What's that picture from?

Brother Jim: He asked.

Brother Jim: His grandfather smiled and said

Brother Jim: that was taken during one of the

Brother Jim: jobs.

Brother Jim: One of the many jobs I worked to help pay for your truck.

Brother Jim: Suddenly, the young man realized something he had forgotten.

Brother Jim: The truck had been free to him.

Brother Jim: But it wasn't free.

Brother Jim: Someone had sacrificed for it.

Brother Jim: MM. Think about that, friends.

Brother Jim: Freedom is much the same way

Brother Jim: many Americans enjoy freedoms

Brother Jim: every day, as we discussed this

Brother Jim: past Tuesday.

Brother Jim: Without thinking about the price

Brother Jim: that was paid, we gather with

Brother Jim: family worship, openly, speak

Brother Jim: freely, and live in liberty

Brother Jim: because countless men and women

Brother Jim: sacrificed to protect those

Brother Jim: freedoms.

Brother Jim: And again, as I've said, freedom

Brother Jim: may seem free to us, but it was

Brother Jim: purchased by the courage,

Brother Jim: service, and sacrifice of

Brother Jim: others.

Brother Jim: When we forget the cost, we stop appreciating the gift.

Brother Jim: And how about this?

Brother Jim: If we're not teaching our children, our grandchildren,

Brother Jim: about what the cost of freedom is and was.

Brother Jim: They'll never know to appreciate it.

Brother Jim: May we never take our freedom for granted.

Brother Jim: Instead, let us be grateful.

Brother Jim: How hard is being grateful?

Brother Jim: Come on folks, think about it.

Brother Jim: How hard is it to be grateful?

Brother Jim: To honor those who served.

Brother Jim: And again, those men and women

Brother Jim: didn't go fight for the

Brother Jim: Republicans.

Brother Jim: They didn't go fight for the Democrats, the independents.

Brother Jim: They went to fight for their country, you and I. Do you

Brother Jim: think, David, in a foxhole, does it really matter if you're a

Brother Jim: Democrat or a Republican?

David: Absolutely not.

Brother Jim: Going out on patrol?

Brother Jim: Nope. Oh, we're sending the Democrats out first.

Brother Jim: The Republicans are back here.

Brother Jim: No.

Brother Jim: Nope.

Brother Jim: Band of brothers.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Going forward.

Brother Jim: A lot of podcasts out there now with ex-military.

Brother Jim: A lot of good ones out there.

Brother Jim: And you just hear it in their voice.

Brother Jim: The brotherhood.

Brother Jim: The brotherhood.

Brother Jim: It didn't matter what color of their skin.

Brother Jim: It didn't matter where they came from.

Brother Jim: It was, I got your back and you got mine.

Brother Jim: And most men that I have

Brother Jim: listened to, it wasn't about

Brother Jim: them.

Brother Jim: It was about making sure I got you.

Brother Jim: That's some heavy stuff there.

Brother Jim: Again, be grateful for those who

Brother Jim: served and use our freedom

Brother Jim: wisely.

Brother Jim: And just as important, let us remember that our salvation was

Brother Jim: free to us.

Brother Jim: But it cost Jesus his life on the cross.

Brother Jim: And we can go on and on about this.

Brother Jim: But if, again, there's

Brother Jim: importance here, my friends, the

Brother Jim: gifts we value most are often

Brother Jim: the gifts that cost someone else

Brother Jim: the most.

Brother Jim: The cost of freedom.

Brother Jim: John fifteen thirteen.

Brother Jim: As we said, and this is one of the greatest ones.

Brother Jim: But again, I want to reiterate this greater love has no one

Brother Jim: than this to lay down one's life for one's friend.

Brother Jim: Today, I mean, we're just weeks

Brother Jim: away from celebrating two

Brother Jim: hundred and fifty years here of

Brother Jim: our country.

Brother Jim: And before we know it, Veterans Day will be here.

Brother Jim: The way time flies.

Brother Jim: But do we really need a holiday, David, to reflect two three

Brother Jim: times a year?

David: Nope. No.

Brother Jim: Shouldn't we don't.

Brother Jim: Each day.

Brother Jim: What if each day, every American would wake up, thank God.

Brother Jim: Thank you Jesus, but also thank you for the men and women.

Brother Jim: I appreciate the freedom.

Brother Jim: If you see a vet go up and say thank you.

Brother Jim: Thank you.

Brother Jim: Today, as we reflect on the freedom we enjoy in the United

Brother Jim: States, it is.

Brother Jim: It is so important to remember a simple truth.

Brother Jim: And this is where we need to teach our teach, teach, drill

Brother Jim: into our kids.

Brother Jim: Freedom is never free.

Brother Jim: The freedom we enjoy to worship, to speak together, and to live

Brother Jim: according to our convictions have come at a great cost.

Brother Jim: And again, throughout our nation's history.

Brother Jim: And I love history, but I mean,

Brother Jim: I go back to just the men and

Brother Jim: families in the Revolutionary

Brother Jim: War.

Brother Jim: They had nothing.

Brother Jim: I mean, a ragtag army of

Brother Jim: farmers, blacksmiths, skilled

Brother Jim: professionals in their

Brother Jim: profession.

Brother Jim: But how many were truly professional soldiers?

Brother Jim: But somehow they found a way.

Brother Jim: They didn't give up and they answered the serve to call.

Brother Jim: Answered the call to serve.

Brother Jim: Excuse me.

Brother Jim: Many left their homes and families.

Brother Jim: Some returned carrying physical and emotional scars.

Brother Jim: Others never returned at all.

Brother Jim: Every flag waving in the breeze

Brother Jim: reminds us that someone

Brother Jim: sacrificed so that we can enjoy

Brother Jim: the liberties.

Brother Jim: We often take so much for granted.

Brother Jim: As Christians, we understand

Brother Jim: that the value we better

Brother Jim: understand.

Brother Jim: Let me say that we better

Brother Jim: understand the value of

Brother Jim: sacrifice.

Brother Jim: Who did it?

Brother Jim: Who sacrificed?

Brother Jim: Well, we all know Jesus, but do we truly appreciate it?

Brother Jim: Those words that I just

Brother Jim: mentioned in the scripture, no

Brother Jim: greater love.

Brother Jim: Those words point to us the

Brother Jim: ultimate sacrifice of Christ on

Brother Jim: the cross.

Brother Jim: But they also remind us of the courage and selflessness

Brother Jim: displayed by those who have served our nation.

Brother Jim: When we enjoy a peaceful Sunday

Brother Jim: morning in church, we should

Brother Jim: remember that many paid a price

Brother Jim: to preserve our freedom to

Brother Jim: worship openly.

Brother Jim: When we gather with family, celebrate our holidays fourth of

Brother Jim: July, right around the corner, corner or voice our opinions.

Brother Jim: And yes, we all have opinions.

Brother Jim: We do so because generations

Brother Jim: before us were willing to defend

Brother Jim: those freedoms.

Brother Jim: The proper response to such sacrifice it should be and

Brother Jim: better be gratitude.

Brother Jim: We honor their memory not only with words, but by living

Brother Jim: responsibly, loving our neighbors, serving our

Brother Jim: communities, and using our freedoms for good.

Brother Jim: And while we give thanks for our nation's freedom, let us never

Brother Jim: forget the greater freedom found in Jesus Christ.

Brother Jim: Our soldiers have defended

Brother Jim: earthly freedom, but Christ

Brother Jim: Jesus Christ secured eternal

Brother Jim: freedom through his death and

Brother Jim: resurrection today.

Brother Jim: And as we come to celebrate, take the time to let our

Brother Jim: children, our grandchildren know, even us adults, the old

Brother Jim: folks calling myself one.

Brother Jim: We need to be reminded to be

Brother Jim: thankful for both what

Brother Jim: servicemen, men and women did,

Brother Jim: and especially what Jesus Christ

Brother Jim: did.

Brother Jim: Let us be thankful for both.

Brother Jim: Thank God for those who served.

Brother Jim: Thank God for the freedoms we

Brother Jim: enjoy and thank God for Jesus

Brother Jim: Christ who paid paid the

Brother Jim: ultimate price so that we may be

Brother Jim: truly free.

Brother Jim: Freedom has a cost.

Brother Jim: Never let us forget the price

Brother Jim: that was paid nor the people who

Brother Jim: paid it.

Brother Jim: Amen.

Brother Jim: Well, my friends, that just about does it for this.

David: As we continue to draw closer

David: and closer to the Fourth of

David: I think it's important that we

David: reflect on on these things,

David: where we've come from and where

David: we're going.

David: And, you know, I've always

David: enjoyed the movie The Patriot

David: now.

David: Oh, that's a fantastic movie.

David: I it's, you know, historic action, if you will.

David: You know, everything in Hollywood takes, you know, its

David: own artistic liberties.

David: But man, what a fantastic movie

David: to, to kind of give you just a

David: taste of what, what things were

David: like back then and what they

David: went through.

Brother Jim: You're right.

Brother Jim: That's one of my favorite movies because again, like you said,

Brother Jim: Hollywood, but still, yeah, even from that point, like, wow.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Wow.

Brother Jim: Saving Private Ryan.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: That's still wow.

Brother Jim: Yep.

Brother Jim: Would you and I have the courage to jump parachute in as a

Brother Jim: paratrooper or to ride in?

Brother Jim: I apologize, I don't remember the name of those boats.

Brother Jim: Those, uh, troop transporters.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: I mean, I thought they did such a great job on that.

Brother Jim: I mean, how many men lost their lives before they even got out

Brother Jim: of the boat?

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Or drowned even before their feet hit the sand.

David: Mhm.

Brother Jim: Uh, again, I know I've shared this, but when I back when

Brother Jim: Phar-mor was around and we still had VHS tapes, I was returning

Brother Jim: that tape and there was a man in line who had served there.

Brother Jim: He was on, I forget which beach.

Brother Jim: Mhm.

Brother Jim: But he said during the invasion, he said, yeah, that was pretty,

Brother Jim: pretty darn close.

Brother Jim: Mhm.

Brother Jim: Uh, again, each war, each conflict.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: The Civil War again.

Brother Jim: I mean, what those men went through.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: You know, both sides.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: They're Americans, both fighting for what they believed in.

Brother Jim: And, I mean, could you imagine marching barefoot?

Brother Jim: No. Not me, not me.

Brother Jim: I don't want.

David: To walk across the driveway barefoot.

Brother Jim: Yeah. I can't either.

Brother Jim: Even cement can't do it.

Brother Jim: You know, they're at the end having to eat tree bark.

Brother Jim: Nothing.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Again, look at what our country

Brother Jim: has endured to give us our

Brother Jim: freedom.

Brother Jim: It says a lot.

Brother Jim: I challenge you, and I'm just going to be very vocal on this,

Brother Jim: just my opinion, but I've got some proof here.

Brother Jim: Our kids, unfortunately, do not know our history.

Brother Jim: They don't.

David: Know.

Brother Jim: And our history is so polluted.

Brother Jim: Again, just Brother Jim's

Brother Jim: opinion that has nothing to do

Brother Jim: with Bible bibs and prayer or

Brother Jim: the church.

Brother Jim: But I truly believe our schools have.

Brother Jim: And I'm not saying even our schools.

Brother Jim: Whoever writes the history is so polluted.

Brother Jim: It dumbed it down, watered it down.

David: Erased it.

Brother Jim: Erased it.

Brother Jim: Think about this, my friends, before we close.

Brother Jim: And I understand with school time, there's only so much.

Brother Jim: But what about the Italian Americans, the Polish Americans,

Brother Jim: the German Americans, all these people who seen hope in coming

Brother Jim: to the United States.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: That brought their culture, which again, that's what makes

Brother Jim: the United States so great.

Brother Jim: We're like a big melting pot.

Brother Jim: You got all these.

Brother Jim: Let's go back to food.

Brother Jim: You know, the Asians, China, Japan.

Brother Jim: What if we could see if you could spend, say, a month with

Brother Jim: just each one studying their history of the hardships they

Brother Jim: had to go through?

Brother Jim: Even the poor, white, uh,

Brother Jim: sharecroppers, nobody talks

Brother Jim: about them.

Brother Jim: The African Americans, what they

Brother Jim: had to go through the slaves,

Brother Jim: but yet also look at how so many

Brother Jim: rose above and made something of

Brother Jim: themselves.

Brother Jim: Success.

Brother Jim: And what better place to do it than the United States?

Brother Jim: I'm sorry, but if I had to

Brother Jim: choose a country still the

Brother Jim: United States, to have an

Brother Jim: opportunity to make something of

Brother Jim: myself.

Brother Jim: And maybe the problem is, and David's probably going to edit

Brother Jim: me on this.

Brother Jim: We've been entitled so much, brainwashed our children and

Brother Jim: generations that we think we're entitled to everything.

Brother Jim: What about going out and taking a hold, having a dream, taking a

Brother Jim: hold of that opportunity and working hard to achieve success?

Brother Jim: And again, David, success can be

Brother Jim: measured in very many different

Brother Jim: ways.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And we're, we're, we're, we're killing ourselves.

Brother Jim: We're slicing our own throats because mom and pop shops, where

Brother Jim: are they now?

Brother Jim: No. That's okay.

Brother Jim: I can get it on Amazon.

Brother Jim: Yep.

Brother Jim: Or I can get it here and there.

Brother Jim: As we talked last Tuesday, David, our freedoms vary.

Brother Jim: We're on a fine line there.

Brother Jim: But even our consumer and what we produce in the United States

Brother Jim: is on a fine line because we can just import everything.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Look at our American farmers.

David: What happens when all that goes away?

Brother Jim: Yeah. What do you mean, David?

Brother Jim: That beef you bought that came from the grocery store.

David: Which was in.

David: Imported from Brazil.

Brother Jim: Oh oh oh.

Brother Jim: When that passed, years ago, I

Brother Jim: had animals, I had cows, and I

Brother Jim: was hot.

Brother Jim: What's wrong with my cows?

Brother Jim: Yeah, they're pretty darn good.

Brother Jim: You ask me again.

Brother Jim: We could go on and on.

Brother Jim: And I'm not.

Brother Jim: I'm sure Brazilian cows are great, but why don't we start

Brother Jim: here, given opportunity?

Brother Jim: Because again, once the land's gone, farmlands gone, it's gone.

David: Yep. You're never getting it back.

Brother Jim: You're never getting it back.

Brother Jim: So again, what a better country.

Brother Jim: And I know, Lord knows we got our faults and our problems.

Brother Jim: But come on guys, we can do better as Americans.

Brother Jim: We can do better as Christians.

Brother Jim: All right.

Brother Jim: That just about does it here.
