Brother Jim: S. Scuse me.
-
Brother Jim: May I have your attention, please?
-
Brother Jim: How you doing today?
-
Brother Jim: Are you feeling blessed?
-
Brother Jim: And do you have some hope?
-
Brother Jim: And if you don't, well guess what?
-
Brother Jim: Hopefully we're going to change that for you.
-
Brother Jim: Yes, you heard right.
-
Brother Jim: Because it's time, my friends.
-
Brother Jim: Time for Bible bibs and a prayer.
-
Brother Jim: Whether you're driving down the road, sitting at your desk,
-
Brother Jim: mowing the lawn, working around the house, cleaning up after
-
Brother Jim: that wild and crazy Fourth of July get together.
-
Brother Jim: Remember?
-
Brother Jim: Or maybe, just maybe.
-
Brother Jim: And I wish I could say this is me, but it's not.
-
Brother Jim: You are suffering a hangover
-
Brother Jim: from the abundance of meat from
-
Brother Jim: the barbecue.
-
Brother Jim: Still dealing with the meat sweats?
-
Brother Jim: Maybe.
-
Brother Jim: Actually, I'm jealous, but take a break for a few and relax.
-
Brother Jim: You owe yourself just a few moments to listen to one of the
-
Brother Jim: oddest podcasts shows out there.
-
Brother Jim: Bible bibs and a prayer.
-
Brother Jim: Yes, you heard right.
-
Brother Jim: We are just a little odd, but that's okay.
-
Brother Jim: How many of you guys are odd?
-
Brother Jim: You're at the right place.
-
Brother Jim: Now, our goal here is quite simple.
-
Brother Jim: Very simple.
-
Brother Jim: We want to talk about God's
-
Brother Jim: Word, encourage one another in
-
Brother Jim: our faith, share a few laughs,
-
Brother Jim: and hopefully leave you a
-
Brother Jim: little, lead you a little closer
-
Brother Jim: to Jesus when you first start
-
Brother Jim: listening.
-
Brother Jim: And most importantly, remind you just how blessed you and I are.
-
Brother Jim: No matter where you live, no
-
Brother Jim: matter where you are listening
-
Brother Jim: in from.
-
Brother Jim: Hey, life can be hard.
-
Brother Jim: The world is demanding.
-
Brother Jim: The world is tough, the world is
-
Brother Jim: mean and just downright cruel at
-
Brother Jim: times.
-
Brother Jim: And plus, the world can be ear busting, noisy.
-
Brother Jim: But there is good news, my friends.
-
Brother Jim: There is God's truth and that remains the same.
-
Brother Jim: So grab your coffee, your tea, whatever rocket fuel your body
-
Brother Jim: needs today, a doughnut perhaps.
-
Brother Jim: I gotta admit, I haven't had a doughnut in a while, David.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, and they're sounding pretty good right now.
-
Brother Jim: Pretty good.
-
Brother Jim: So let us know what you got
-
Brother Jim: going on to get you moving in
-
Brother Jim: the morning.
-
Brother Jim: I will say, David, I, uh, had my first helping of corned beef
-
Brother Jim: hash the other day.
-
Brother Jim: I tried to do two a year.
-
Brother Jim: Okay.
-
Brother Jim: I was over at D's restaurant.
-
Brother Jim: They brought out the corned beef hash, two eggs on top, a little
-
Brother Jim: bacon and toast, a little ketchup, salt and pepper, and.
-
Brother Jim: Oh, boy.
-
Brother Jim: Brother Jim's a happy man.
-
Brother Jim: I know I shouldn't be taking it in, but, boy, it was good.
-
Brother Jim: Clark.
-
Brother Jim: So. And saying all that.
-
Brother Jim: Grab your Bible.
-
Brother Jim: Better buckle up.
-
Brother Jim: You better hold on, because we're about to get ready.
-
Brother Jim: We're about ready to make some noise.
-
Brother Jim: And you know what?
-
Brother Jim: It's okay to make noise for God.
-
Brother Jim: It's okay to express that you're a happy, happy person.
-
Brother Jim: Maybe that's what we need in our country more.
-
Brother Jim: David.
-
Brother Jim: People just walk around being happy, happy, happy.
-
Brother Jim: Yep.
-
Brother Jim: Yes.
-
Brother Jim: So buckle up, hold on tight and let's get ready to hit the road.
-
Brother Jim: Fast and furious because we are
-
Brother Jim: ready for another great day
-
Brother Jim: together.
-
Brother Jim: This is Bible bibs and a prayer where faith is real.
-
Brother Jim: Laughter is welcome in Jesus, as
-
Brother Jim: always at the center of the
-
Brother Jim: conversation.
-
Brother Jim: So let's get started.
-
Brother Jim: Hey folks, over the weekend I. Here it comes.
-
Brother Jim: David.
-
Brother Jim: I didn't take it out over the weekend.
-
Brother Jim: I put up a high voltage fence around my property.
-
Brother Jim: My neighbors are dead against it.
-
Brother Jim: I took it out.
-
Brother Jim: I put it back in, and apparently I left it.
-
Brother Jim: Hey, come on folks, I know it
-
Brother Jim: might not be, but I thought it
-
Brother Jim: was funny.
-
Brother Jim: All righty.
-
Brother Jim: And number two, my door was ajar, David.
-
Brother Jim: So I added jelly.
-
Brother Jim: So now it's a door jam.
-
Brother Jim: Yes.
-
Brother Jim: Yes it is.
-
Brother Jim: Double joke.
-
Brother Jim: Thursday.
-
Brother Jim: So come on, friends, let's turn
-
Brother Jim: this from a conversation into an
-
Brother Jim: experience.
-
Brother Jim: And you know what?
-
Brother Jim: We got the barnyard here that,
-
Brother Jim: you know, we're still looking to
-
Brother Jim: add.
-
Brother Jim: I keep saying that.
-
Brother Jim: And hopefully when we come back
-
Brother Jim: from our summer break, we'll
-
Brother Jim: have a few more characters in
-
Brother Jim: here.
-
Brother Jim: But you know what, speaking for the barnyard crew here.
-
Brother Jim: Do you know why the chicken crossed the road?
-
Brother Jim: No. Why?
-
Brother Jim: To prove to the possum it actually could be done.
-
Brother Jim: Speaking of that, David, my
-
Brother Jim: friends listening in, I
-
Brother Jim: committed murder.
-
David: Uh. Oh.
-
Brother Jim: And it hurt.
-
Brother Jim: It really did.
-
Brother Jim: And it really wasn't murder.
-
Brother Jim: I don't know how you would tag it.
-
Brother Jim: Vehicular homicide.
-
David: Okay.
-
Brother Jim: Between our house and my mom's house, there's a creek, and I
-
Brother Jim: use the Steiner to mow it so I don't have to weed eat it.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: And it's wet.
-
Brother Jim: Little soggy bottom about this long.
-
Brother Jim: And the grass is about yay high.
-
Brother Jim: Now, every once in a while, we'll get a fish or a turtle.
-
Brother Jim: Well, I was going in and shut the mower off.
-
Brother Jim: I assumed a rock, which I knew.
-
Brother Jim: I got all the rocks out.
-
Brother Jim: So I lift the deck, start the mower up, pull it back.
-
Brother Jim: There was this turtle about.
-
David: Yay, big man.
-
Brother Jim: He was beautiful.
-
Brother Jim: He was.
-
Brother Jim: That's the key.
-
Brother Jim: He was.
-
Brother Jim: I felt horrible, David, I really did.
-
Brother Jim: But it's like, little man, if I
-
Brother Jim: knew you were hiding there, I
-
Brother Jim: wouldn't have.
-
Brother Jim: You know, I would have just skipped that part, but.
-
Brother Jim: So I was thinking, I'll get him out.
-
Brother Jim: I don't want his death to be meaningless.
-
Brother Jim: So I was thinking what we could do, David, is.
-
Brother Jim: I'll clean him out.
-
Brother Jim: Let the dry shell.
-
Brother Jim: I'll YouTube it, see how you do that.
-
Brother Jim: And then we could add him as a
-
Brother Jim: candy dish or something like
-
Brother Jim: that.
-
David: I'm not gonna eat any candy.
-
David: All that dish.
-
David: How about.
-
Brother Jim: You folks?
-
Brother Jim: What can we do with a turtle shell?
-
Brother Jim: Cause I want to bring this little guy in, even though it
-
Brother Jim: was a a massacre.
-
Brother Jim: And I'm thinking, was he a daddy?
-
Brother Jim: Was he a mommy?
-
Brother Jim: You know.
-
David: You just orphaned a bunch of turtles.
-
Brother Jim: I just orphaned a bunch of turtles, I know I do.
-
Brother Jim: I feel horrible.
-
Brother Jim: So yeah, but we will be adding that to the show sometime.
-
Brother Jim: I almost called my father in law because he eats turtle and said,
-
Brother Jim: hey, Steve, you want a turtle?
-
Brother Jim: But I think I actually decapitated him.
-
Brother Jim: That's what it was, a quick death.
-
Brother Jim: But yeah, folks, don't get mad.
-
Brother Jim: It was an honest accident.
-
Brother Jim: And I really do feel bad.
-
Brother Jim: But yes, we'll have to come up for a name for the show when I
-
Brother Jim: bring it in.
-
David: Sheldon. Sheldon. There we go.
-
David: Sheldon.
-
Brother Jim: Winner, winner. Chicken dinner.
-
Brother Jim: Yes. Maybe we could set one of the animals in a shell, too.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, I thought a candy dish would be nice.
-
David: There you go.
-
Brother Jim: All righty.
-
Brother Jim: Or maybe the viewers have a better idea.
-
Brother Jim: Let us know what we should do
-
Brother Jim: with this show after it's
-
Brother Jim: cleaned properly.
-
David: Yes.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, so in saying all that, good morning to you, our friends.
-
Brother Jim: Good morning world.
-
Brother Jim: Let us take a moment and thank God for another beautiful day,
-
Brother Jim: another breath in our lungs and another opportunity to grow,
-
Brother Jim: learn and try again.
-
Brother Jim: Because here on Bible Bibs in prayer, we do not just roll out
-
Brother Jim: of bed and survive the morning and run over turtles.
-
Brother Jim: No no no no. We started with gratitude.
-
Brother Jim: We started with good
-
Brother Jim: conversation and we started with
-
Brother Jim: positive energy.
-
Brother Jim: Some questionable jokes.
-
Brother Jim: And as an added bonus for the listeners, you.
-
Brother Jim: Yes, you get to start your
-
Brother Jim: morning off with, as I said last
-
Brother Jim: week, and I didn't want to
-
Brother Jim: change this because it's so
-
Brother Jim: true.
-
Brother Jim: Two good looking, charming individuals and that's why it
-
Brother Jim: makes it so good.
-
Brother Jim: Speaking of good looking and
-
Brother Jim: charming, it's time to introduce
-
Brother Jim: once again the man of the hour,
-
Brother Jim: my co-host and partner in crime,
-
Brother Jim: who has cat like reflexes and
-
Brother Jim: the speed of a mongoose, a man
-
Brother Jim: who has the confidence of Tommy
-
Brother Jim: Boy and the planning skills of a
-
Brother Jim: shopping cart with one bad
-
Brother Jim: wheel.
-
Brother Jim: Please welcome my good friend
-
Brother Jim: and partner in podcasting
-
Brother Jim: business crime.
-
Brother Jim: Back by popular demand, the one.
-
Brother Jim: The only Mr. David Keener.
-
Brother Jim: And not just a co-host, but one
-
Brother Jim: of my best friends in the whole
-
Brother Jim: wide world.
-
Brother Jim: Good morning, my friend.
-
Brother Jim: Tell us how life is treating you in Kernersville.
-
David: Good morning.
-
David: It's going well.
-
David: You know, I asked my wife the other day.
-
David: I said, honey, will you still
-
David: love me when I'm no longer
-
David: attractive?
-
David: And she said, I do.
-
David: Want to get that one.
-
David: But yeah, so it's going good.
-
David: I, I failed to mention last week that, uh, took the family to the
-
David: Air Force Museum during the Fourth of July weekend.
-
David: So that were fourth of July week rather.
-
David: Woo.
-
David: That was pretty nice.
-
David: Uh, it wasn't too bad because
-
David: it's all indoors, so it was
-
David: okay.
-
David: But you know, they, they have, uh, they have the Air Force One
-
David: there that carried JFK's body back from Dallas.
-
David: And I think it, I think it carried presidents all the way
-
David: through Bush the first.
-
David: But, uh, I always enjoy seeing that and going through that.
-
David: And on the way home we stopped at Bucky's.
-
David: You ever been to Bucky's?
-
Brother Jim: No, but I went to.
-
Brother Jim: That is on my bucket list.
-
David: It is a place, let me tell you that.
-
David: I didn't know.
-
David: It was like I knew we were gonna be in the vicinity, but it was
-
David: literally like on the route.
-
David: I had to go a thousand feet out of my way.
-
David: Uh huh.
-
David: And, uh, you walk into that place and it's on the left is
-
David: just gift store.
-
David: Everything you could imagine on the right is every kind of, you
-
David: know, food convenience store.
-
Brother Jim: I heard their barbecue and.
-
Brother Jim: Right.
-
Brother Jim: Actually good.
-
David: Right.
-
David: Dead center in the middle.
-
David: A big round area where they're
-
David: just cooking up hot barbecue
-
David: sandwiches, fresh brisket on the
-
David: board.
-
David: I got me a brisket sandwich.
-
Speaker 4: It was oh.
-
David: It was good.
-
David: It was a little bit fattier than I would have liked.
-
David: But I mean, they're, they're,
-
David: you know, they're making a bunch
-
David: of them.
-
David: So you get what you get.
-
David: Right.
-
David: But, uh, yeah, it was.
-
Brother Jim: Did you get a picture of you eating it?
-
David: No, I did not.
-
David: Dude, my only complaint about
-
David: that place is they don't have,
-
David: like, a place where you can sit
-
David: down.
-
David: I get it, it's a travel stop.
-
David: So I'm like, I'm eating it in
-
David: the parking lot, in the car at
-
David: ninety four degrees with the air
-
David: conditioner running.
-
David: Right.
-
David: So but it was good.
-
Brother Jim: That is on my list to find a Bucky's and stop and just take
-
Brother Jim: it all in.
-
David: It was we spent, I don't know,
-
David: forty five minutes there, half
-
David: hour there.
-
Brother Jim: I love travel plazas because
-
Brother Jim: there's all kinds of cool stuff
-
Brother Jim: you can find that you can't find
-
Brother Jim: anywhere else.
-
Brother Jim: Um, especially like for truckers, you know, if you need
-
Brother Jim: CB stuff or cool hats.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, what a great place to.
-
David: I wanted the kids to get
-
David: something, you know, they wanted
-
David: to get, you know, they always
-
David: want a toy or something when you
-
David: go there.
-
David: So I wanted to get something.
-
David: Bucky's, you know, they had
-
David: these little beaver Bucky
-
David: things.
-
David: That's great.
-
David: You know commemorates the trip, right?
-
David: Right.
-
David: No. They all three bought some
-
David: stupid toy that you could get
-
David: anywhere.
-
David: So whatever.
-
David: Kids, my wife said we should have bought some for us.
-
Brother Jim: That could have been one of our.
-
David: It could have been it could have been.
-
David: You know, Bible school's got an awful lot of things I've been
-
David: keeping an eye on around here.
-
David: We can snatch up for mascots after Bible school, so.
-
David: Yeah, yeah.
-
Brother Jim: All right.
-
Brother Jim: But yeah, we need to get a beaver.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, yeah, I'm on it.
-
Brother Jim: I'm on it.
-
Brother Jim: All right.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, you know, friends.
-
Brother Jim: I thought I'd turn the tables.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, uh, we got a little technical difficulty here.
-
David: I didn't do it, I swear.
-
Brother Jim: Now I think it's my, uh, thing up there.
-
Brother Jim: David, would you mind taking a look?
-
David: I will, I have.
-
Brother Jim: Probably low battery, and I need to get an okay.
-
Speaker 5: Yep. Low battery.
-
Speaker 5: We'll put her in low power mode.
-
Speaker 5: Hopefully that still works.
-
Brother Jim: All righty.
-
Brother Jim: There we go.
-
Brother Jim: Thank you.
-
Brother Jim: David again, the best co-host in the world.
-
Brother Jim: Mr. Technology.
-
David: Tech support guy.
-
David: Whatever.
-
Brother Jim: Yes, yes.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, but you know, our friends.
-
Brother Jim: I thought I'd turn the tables on myself this morning.
-
Brother Jim: Poor David always gets the cheesy introductions.
-
Brother Jim: So this morning, I flipped the script and blasted myself.
-
Brother Jim: I'm your host.
-
Brother Jim: The reason?
-
Brother Jim: This podcast has an editing budget.
-
Brother Jim: I have a face for radio and a voice for close caption.
-
Brother Jim: I am professionally unqualified but highly enthusiastic.
-
Brother Jim: I'm here to ask the questions everyone else was smart enough
-
Brother Jim: not to ask.
-
Brother Jim: Ha. My greatest talent is talking confidently about things
-
Brother Jim: I am still learning.
-
Brother Jim: I am one software update away from retirement.
-
Brother Jim: My microphone works better than I do.
-
Brother Jim: If something goes wrong, I just assume.
-
Brother Jim: I just assume I press the wrong button.
-
Brother Jim: How true that is.
-
Brother Jim: And while we are at it, well.
-
Brother Jim: I could go on and on, David.
-
Brother Jim: I even pulled up insulting comments or you know, for the oh
-
Brother Jim: my goodness, we could turn the whole show into that one.
-
Brother Jim: And there's good ones.
-
Brother Jim: And there's a little bit that walk the line.
-
Brother Jim: So we had to stay with the good
-
Brother Jim: ones there, you know, the clean
-
Brother Jim: ones.
-
Brother Jim: But, uh, so, uh, now the force is fourth is over any other
-
Brother Jim: because you were off.
-
David: I am.
-
Brother Jim: Any other plans?
-
David: No. You know, we like the ladies and gentlemen may know we've got
-
David: Vacation Bible School going on this week, so.
-
Brother Jim: Thank you for bringing.
-
David: I wasn't I wasn't able to plan a whole lot because I had to be
-
David: back for Vacation Bible School in the evenings this week.
-
David: So, uh, nothing really this week.
-
David: That's why we went to, to gotcha thing last week.
-
Brother Jim: So yes.
-
Brother Jim: Well, when, uh, next week I fly out to head to Fort Myers.
-
Brother Jim: So I will try to get some pictures.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Especially me going through, uh, TSA.
-
Brother Jim: I'm always that guy that gets pulled aside.
-
Brother Jim: I wonder if he'd be willing to do a selfie with me.
-
Brother Jim: There you go.
-
Brother Jim: You know, I gotta undo my belt, and he has to feel around.
-
Brother Jim: Hey, we get a selfie together.
-
Brother Jim: Thank you.
-
Brother Jim: And we're praying that our new IDs come before because we just
-
Brother Jim: thought about that.
-
Brother Jim: You know, your license you got.
-
David: Oh, you don't have the real ID one.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah. So we went down, got our paperwork, which I have the
-
Brother Jim: paperwork, but hopefully we get it here before we leave.
-
Brother Jim: So yeah, or you might see me in the news going nuts on the TSA.
-
David: Well, I mean, the program is going to be on hiatus here for
-
David: the rest of the month.
-
David: So we need we need to give some entertainment to pump in.
-
Brother Jim: Throughout the that.
-
David: Throughout the week here.
-
Brother Jim: Some shots in that, you know, um, yeah.
-
Brother Jim: So I'm sure I'll get I'll have
-
Brother Jim: Carrie take some good selfies of
-
Brother Jim: me as my as we prepare for
-
Brother Jim: takeoff.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: My face will probably tell a thousand stories there.
-
Brother Jim: You know, I should have got a job with testing, you know, your
-
Brother Jim: handrails and everything.
-
Brother Jim: The amount of pressure it'll take.
-
Brother Jim: Because let me tell you something.
-
David: You got a death grip on it.
-
Brother Jim: There is a death grip on those.
-
Brother Jim: Yes.
-
Brother Jim: And the floor, too, you know.
-
Brother Jim: I wonder if you'd be charged if you broke one of those.
-
David: Oh, I'm sure they would try.
-
Brother Jim: Excuse me, ma'am.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, stewardess, I just broke these.
-
Brother Jim: Uh. Yes, but, uh, heading to
-
Brother Jim: Fort Myers in the middle of
-
Brother Jim: July, so.
-
Brother Jim: Yes.
-
Brother Jim: And the first thing I'm doing is finding a good hat.
-
Brother Jim: So if you haven't noticed, there's nothing up there.
-
Brother Jim: And this baby burns, so.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, but yeah, we'll do some updates there.
-
Brother Jim: And I don't know if Florida has any buckys or not down there.
-
David: I think they do.
-
David: I don't know where, but.
-
Brother Jim: When I get there I'll Google.
-
Brother Jim: So yes, I need to invest in a
-
Brother Jim: selfie stick walking through the
-
Brother Jim: airport.
-
Brother Jim: Run right into one of the TSA agents with a gun.
-
Brother Jim: Sorry, brother.
-
Brother Jim: Alright, so what's your plans going on?
-
Brother Jim: What you got going on for the weekend?
-
Brother Jim: We would love to know how your forth was.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, again, we want to hear from you guys.
-
Brother Jim: Let us know.
-
Brother Jim: Just one simple line.
-
Brother Jim: Come on, help us out here.
-
Brother Jim: But as David said, we do have
-
Brother Jim: the big VBS going on, uh, this
-
Brother Jim: week from six to eight thirty
-
Brother Jim: we've got what can we say,
-
Brother Jim: forty, forty two, forty four
-
Brother Jim: enrolled already registered
-
Brother Jim: pre-registered, which is the
-
Brother Jim: largest we've had in a long
-
Brother Jim: time.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, so if you know a young one, a little one, bring em out.
-
Brother Jim: It's worth your time to invest in our youth.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, so, yes, out here at Rockford Church, uh, starting
-
Brother Jim: Sunday night, all the way up until Thursday night.
-
David: Yeah. Which is actually today, the day this program airs.
-
David: So when it airs, if you're coming, come tonight.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, come tonight.
-
Brother Jim: And they'll be singing some songs Sunday morning.
-
Brother Jim: So, uh, yeah, so we're going to be busy here at Rockford Church.
-
Brother Jim: But you know, weekends may come and go, but God's goodness does
-
Brother Jim: not take a day off.
-
Brother Jim: So a week has almost come to an end, friends.
-
Brother Jim: What'd you do with it?
-
Brother Jim: What did you do with it?
-
Brother Jim: Did you do anything that was cool?
-
Brother Jim: Did you do anything that made a
-
Brother Jim: difference for God, for the
-
Brother Jim: kingdom, for somebody else's
-
Brother Jim: life?
-
Brother Jim: And, you know, we can accomplish a lot of things in a week.
-
Brother Jim: We can accomplish things in a day, but we also try to survive.
-
Brother Jim: There's a fine line there, is
-
Brother Jim: there not between accomplishing,
-
Brother Jim: surviving, just getting through
-
Brother Jim: it.
-
Brother Jim: But the key question is how do you do it?
-
Brother Jim: What's your attitude?
-
Brother Jim: Where's your smile?
-
Brother Jim: How do you talk to people?
-
Brother Jim: Do you shine for Jesus in the
-
Brother Jim: middle of all this chaos, this
-
Brother Jim: craziness?
-
Brother Jim: But here you go.
-
Brother Jim: You get a chance for a break.
-
Brother Jim: The weekend is almost here, so take that big breath.
-
Brother Jim: Stretch those shoulders.
-
Brother Jim: Get ready to smile.
-
Brother Jim: Come on.
-
Brother Jim: When's the last time you smiled?
-
Brother Jim: When's the last time you had one of those gut wrenching laughs
-
Brother Jim: where you almost blew your drink right through your nose?
-
Brother Jim: Those are good ones.
-
Brother Jim: Let's admit it.
-
Brother Jim: Those are good.
-
Brother Jim: But in saying all this, it is time now to saddle up and we're
-
Brother Jim: going to hit the brand new weekend trail together.
-
Brother Jim: It's Thursday.
-
Brother Jim: We can do this.
-
Brother Jim: You are almost there.
-
Brother Jim: You know what?
-
Brother Jim: God's carried us.
-
Brother Jim: He's got us through the week and he's not done with us yet.
-
Brother Jim: So step into this weekend with faith, joy, and knowing that God
-
Brother Jim: still has purpose for you, even on your days off.
-
Brother Jim: Now imagine a furniture salesman
-
Brother Jim: tells the person, this sofa will
-
Brother Jim: seat five people with no
-
Brother Jim: problems.
-
Brother Jim: David responds.
-
Brother Jim: David responds, where am I going
-
Brother Jim: to find five people with no
-
Brother Jim: problems?
-
Brother Jim: Sorry, I hit the fast forward button there.
-
Brother Jim: That is true.
-
Brother Jim: David.
-
Brother Jim: How would you find five people with no problems?
-
David: That is a challenge.
-
Brother Jim: That would be a big challenge, yes.
-
Brother Jim: Today's thought.
-
Brother Jim: The Christian does not think God will love us because we are
-
Brother Jim: good, but that God will make us good because he loves us.
-
Brother Jim: CS Lewis.
-
Brother Jim: Now I want to go out with this one.
-
Brother Jim: Simple one.
-
Brother Jim: AM I a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: AM I a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: I'm asking you.
-
Brother Jim: Do we ever take the time to examine ourselves?
-
Brother Jim: Now, if we open up a second Corinthians thirteen five.
-
Brother Jim: Examine yourself to see whether you are in the faith.
-
Brother Jim: Test yourselves.
-
Brother Jim: Do not realize, do you not
-
Brother Jim: realize that Christ Jesus is in
-
Brother Jim: you?
-
Brother Jim: Unless, of course, you fail the test?
-
Brother Jim: One of the most important questions anyone can ask is not
-
Brother Jim: am I a good person?
-
Brother Jim: Or do I go to church?
-
Brother Jim: But am I truly a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: Many people identify as Christians because they were
-
Brother Jim: raised in a Christian home, attended church, or simply
-
Brother Jim: believe in God.
-
Brother Jim: Yet the Bible teaches that a genuine Christian is someone who
-
Brother Jim: has personally Repented.
-
Brother Jim: And David, there's the big word repented of sin, trusted in
-
Brother Jim: Christ, and is being transformed by his grace.
-
Brother Jim: So let me ask you something again to ask yourself.
-
Brother Jim: AM I a Christian or do I simply fall under the tag of I believe
-
Brother Jim: in God, I go to church?
-
Brother Jim: How are you identifying yourself as a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: And this isn't a sermon to make sincere believers doubt God's
-
Brother Jim: promises, but to encourage honest self-examination in light
-
Brother Jim: of Scripture self-examination.
-
Brother Jim: It's a good thing, isn't it, David?
-
David: Yeah, absolutely.
-
Brother Jim: If you go in with a positive
-
Brother Jim: mindset, okay, let's check it
-
Brother Jim: out.
-
Brother Jim: When you go to buy a car, you check it out, right?
-
David: Sure.
-
Brother Jim: When you go to buy furniture, you check it out.
-
Brother Jim: When you go on a date, you check her out.
-
Brother Jim: You check him out.
-
Brother Jim: True.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: You want to know what you're getting into.
-
Brother Jim: And then once you make the
-
Brother Jim: purchase, the purchase, It's
-
Brother Jim: yours.
-
Brother Jim: But there's things we have to do for that car.
-
Brother Jim: Is it not, David?
-
Brother Jim: Tires are only going to last so long.
-
David: Yep.
-
Brother Jim: Engine oil is going to have to be changed.
-
Brother Jim: It's got to be washed.
-
Brother Jim: It's got to have maintenance.
-
Brother Jim: So in saying that, isn't that
-
Brother Jim: the same thing with our
-
Brother Jim: Christian walk, our journey with
-
Brother Jim: Christ?
-
Brother Jim: We need to self examine to make sure the oil's changed.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: We're clean.
-
Brother Jim: And I'm not talking well physically that does help.
-
Brother Jim: Please make sure you bathe daily.
-
Brother Jim: I'm talking on the inside,
-
Brother Jim: repenting of your sins, keeping
-
Brother Jim: that clean and honest, being
-
Brother Jim: waxed up, shined up to shine for
-
Brother Jim: Christ.
-
Brother Jim: So am I trusting in Jesus Christ alone?
-
Brother Jim: Our first question, Ephesians
-
Brother Jim: two eight to nine, for it is by
-
Brother Jim: grace you have been saved
-
Brother Jim: through faith, and this is not
-
Brother Jim: from yourselves.
-
Brother Jim: It is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.
-
Brother Jim: Salvation is not earned by
-
Brother Jim: church attendance, baptism, good
-
Brother Jim: works, religious tradition, and
-
Brother Jim: family heritage.
-
Brother Jim: It is received by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.
-
Brother Jim: Ask yourself, have I placed my
-
Brother Jim: trust in Christ alone for
-
Brother Jim: salvation?
-
Brother Jim: AM I relying on his finished
-
Brother Jim: work on the cross rather than my
-
Brother Jim: own efforts?
-
Brother Jim: Have I repented of my sins?
-
Brother Jim: Now, David, do you just repent one time?
-
David: No.
-
Brother Jim: No. What do you mean?
-
Brother Jim: David?
-
David: We. We sinned daily, if not hourly.
-
David: Sometimes.
-
David: Wow.
-
Brother Jim: That one time repenting.
-
Brother Jim: You mean I need to do it more?
-
David: Yeah. Not what I mean.
-
Brother Jim: Whenever I take those little
-
Brother Jim: crackers, stale crackers, and
-
Brother Jim: that little shot of wine or
-
Brother Jim: grape juice.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Should I do it before that, David?
-
David: Probably.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah. Oh my goodness.
-
Brother Jim: I don't know what to do.
-
Brother Jim: I thought it was a one and done.
-
David: Nope.
-
Brother Jim: Wow. MM mm.
-
Brother Jim: Now being very sarcastic there.
-
Brother Jim: But how many people miss out on that, David?
-
David: Probably quite a few.
-
Brother Jim: Quite a few.
-
Brother Jim: Just had a conversation today or
-
Brother Jim: the other day with someone about
-
Brother Jim: this.
-
Brother Jim: Well, I think I'm saved, but I don't believe in hell.
-
David: It's dangerous.
-
Brother Jim: Very dangerous.
-
Brother Jim: Jesus talks about hell more than anybody.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: And we've discussed here a couple months ago about hell.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: That's a question, folks, right there.
-
Brother Jim: How many categories?
-
Brother Jim: And to me, the world Satan has
-
Brother Jim: created that you can check
-
Brother Jim: yourself into and still fall
-
Brother Jim: short.
-
Brother Jim: You're in the wrong box.
-
Brother Jim: You're in the wrong category.
-
Brother Jim: And you know, well, I do all these great things.
-
Brother Jim: Again, once you've been saved or repented, saved, put in your
-
Brother Jim: faith and trust in Christ.
-
Brother Jim: That's when the works begin.
-
Brother Jim: You know, That's when it begins,
-
Brother Jim: because we are called to do good
-
Brother Jim: works.
-
Brother Jim: But if you forget the repentance and the salvation part, it ain't
-
Brother Jim: doing you no good.
-
Brother Jim: But it seems like we like to get
-
Brother Jim: the horse behind the cart or the
-
Brother Jim: cart in front of the horse on
-
Brother Jim: this.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, we like to pat ourselves on the back.
-
Brother Jim: We like to do the easy things first.
-
Brother Jim: It's kind of like, think about this.
-
Brother Jim: Uh. Mom makes dinner.
-
Brother Jim: There's a big old piece of liver on there.
-
Brother Jim: I've got potatoes, I got
-
Brother Jim: vegetables, I got a salad, I got
-
Brother Jim: everything.
-
Brother Jim: And I eat all around it, avoiding what I know.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: I don't want.
-
Brother Jim: And why is it because I don't want.
-
Brother Jim: Could it be David.
-
Brother Jim: I don't really want to change.
-
Brother Jim: Even though I want to.
-
Brother Jim: I don't want to give up my sin.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: I've got everything else going for me, David.
-
Brother Jim: But I am in a sinful
-
Brother Jim: relationship other than, you
-
Brother Jim: know, not my wife, but with my
-
Brother Jim: girlfriend, even though I'm
-
Brother Jim: married.
-
Brother Jim: Mhm.
-
Brother Jim: Not me, folks.
-
Brother Jim: Okay.
-
Brother Jim: I'm using an example.
-
Brother Jim: I can't let that go.
-
Brother Jim: True.
-
Brother Jim: Could that be a problem, David?
-
Brother Jim: Or. So many, so many crosses people carry.
-
Brother Jim: Do you get my point, though, folks?
-
Brother Jim: We get to the point.
-
Brother Jim: We we've got it almost there.
-
Brother Jim: But there's that one NE banger
-
Brother Jim: that gets us every time that we
-
Brother Jim: don't want to to repent of
-
Brother Jim: because we still enjoy it so
-
Brother Jim: much.
-
Brother Jim: And do you think Satan knows that?
-
David: Absolutely does.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah. Do you think Satan's going to work at that?
-
David: Yep.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah. Do you think Satan's going to whisper in your ear.
-
Brother Jim: Think about what we struggle with As mankind.
-
Brother Jim: Every day.
-
Brother Jim: We each have our crosses to carry.
-
Brother Jim: Do we not?
-
Brother Jim: And, David, are we going to beat them on our.
-
Brother Jim: By ourselves?
-
David: Absolutely not.
-
Brother Jim: Why is that, David?
-
David: Because man isn't strong enough.
-
Brother Jim: Man isn't strong enough.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: You ever try to beat something by yourself?
-
Brother Jim: Friends.
-
Brother Jim: And I'm talking about, you know, sin, those deadly things.
-
Brother Jim: Can't do it, can you?
-
Brother Jim: Oh, you think you can do it?
-
Brother Jim: I can read self-help books.
-
Brother Jim: I can go to therapists, which,
-
Brother Jim: you know, those are all good
-
Brother Jim: things.
-
Brother Jim: I'm not saying they're bad, but at the end of the day, that sin
-
Brother Jim: is still there.
-
Brother Jim: The only way is through Jesus.
-
Brother Jim: Now, David, does that mean it's going to go away?
-
Brother Jim: No. You'll still battle with the.
-
David: Constant battle.
-
Brother Jim: Constant battles.
-
Brother Jim: But you're not alone, right?
-
Brother Jim: We say that every podcast, you're not alone.
-
Brother Jim: We have a oh, that one song.
-
Brother Jim: What a friend I have in Jesus.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: As friends.
-
Brother Jim: Don't you care about one another?
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Think about the love he has for
-
Brother Jim: you because he died on that
-
Brother Jim: cross, so.
-
Brother Jim: Absolutely.
-
Brother Jim: But am I a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: I want you to ask yourself today.
-
Brother Jim: AM I a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: And take a hard look in the mirror.
-
Brother Jim: I struggle with it.
-
Brother Jim: David.
-
Brother Jim: Sometimes I'm just being honest.
-
Brother Jim: I let the devil get to me, is what happens.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Because he.
-
Brother Jim: I let him start picking out all my flaws.
-
Brother Jim: And that's tough.
-
David: Mhm.
-
Brother Jim: Jim, you're not good enough, Jim. Really?
-
Brother Jim: You're not making a difference.
-
Brother Jim: That whispering in your ear?
-
Brother Jim: Or better yet, David, you're not a good husband.
-
Brother Jim: David, you're not a good dad.
-
Brother Jim: Really?
-
Brother Jim: That's what you know.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah. And he hits you to me.
-
Brother Jim: He hits you at you.
-
Brother Jim: He knows what buttons to push.
-
Brother Jim: And that's what's tough.
-
Brother Jim: And we know at least, David, we
-
Brother Jim: have foundation where we can
-
Brother Jim: turn to.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, but how many people out
-
Brother Jim: there don't have that
-
Brother Jim: foundation?
-
Brother Jim: They have no hope because either
-
Brother Jim: they've never been told or
-
Brother Jim: failed, made a choice not to
-
Brother Jim: listen.
-
Brother Jim: We live in a world today where
-
Brother Jim: you can find the gospel
-
Brother Jim: anywhere.
-
Brother Jim: True.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: On your phone, on your computer, anywhere you can find it.
-
Brother Jim: But do you want to?
-
Brother Jim: Do you want to?
-
Brother Jim: And as a Christian.
-
Brother Jim: He said, yeah, brother Jim, I'm.
-
Brother Jim: I'm saved.
-
Brother Jim: I believe in Jesus Christ.
-
Brother Jim: I'm part of the kingdom.
-
Brother Jim: What are you doing for him?
-
Brother Jim: What are you really doing for him?
-
Brother Jim: I'm doing a Wednesday night
-
Brother Jim: service series here about
-
Brother Jim: consumers, David.
-
Brother Jim: We're consumers right?
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: We're all consumers.
-
Brother Jim: But what happens to a church that becomes full of consumers
-
Brother Jim: instead of givers?
-
Brother Jim: What happens when a church stops giving?
-
Brother Jim: But wait a minute, Jim.
-
Brother Jim: We send our our monthly money out for missions.
-
Brother Jim: We we do a couple events.
-
Brother Jim: Is that really given?
-
Brother Jim: David.
-
Brother Jim: No, no.
-
David: It's like throwing your two
-
David: cents in the in the offering
-
David: plate.
-
David: So I did my job.
-
Brother Jim: Exactly.
-
Brother Jim: Is that part of the problem?
-
Brother Jim: As Christians, we've lost the concept of giving.
-
Brother Jim: And I'm I'm not referring to money per se.
-
Brother Jim: I'm referring to us.
-
Brother Jim: What we can give back to God
-
Brother Jim: what we can give to our fellow
-
Brother Jim: human beings.
-
Brother Jim: Mankind to the ones who are lost.
-
Brother Jim: It comes down to us, doesn't it, David?
-
Brother Jim: It does.
-
Brother Jim: The church now again through the
-
Brother Jim: Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit's
-
Brother Jim: first.
-
Brother Jim: Don't get me wrong.
-
Brother Jim: I don't want to say we're better than that, but we are part.
-
Brother Jim: David received the blessings of
-
Brother Jim: all this technology wisdom, and
-
Brother Jim: he's using that through this
-
Brother Jim: little show, through our church
-
Brother Jim: services.
-
Brother Jim: His calling.
-
Brother Jim: But you know what?
-
Brother Jim: Who knows what other talents David might have?
-
Brother Jim: You never know, right, David?
-
David: That's right.
-
Brother Jim: You never know.
-
Brother Jim: But if David shuts the book, shuts the heart and the mind and
-
Brother Jim: says, nah, I'm good enough.
-
Brother Jim: What if there's a whole second career?
-
Brother Jim: Or where he can take his
-
Brother Jim: blessings and add to something
-
Brother Jim: even bigger.
-
Brother Jim: Wow.
-
Brother Jim: And I'm just using David as an example here.
-
Brother Jim: But what about each one of us?
-
Brother Jim: Are we just sitting on just the tip of it to where if we would
-
Brother Jim: choose to dive in?
-
Brother Jim: Oh my goodness.
-
Brother Jim: Or are we afraid of what would
-
Brother Jim: happen, what God would have us
-
Brother Jim: actually do?
-
Brother Jim: Do you think that's maybe some of the problem, David?
-
Brother Jim: Fear of what I'm going to be called to do?
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: How am I going to do this when I
-
Brother Jim: can't even get the mowed, the
-
Brother Jim: lawn mowed and get the the
-
Brother Jim: laundry cleaned?
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah. I get it.
-
Brother Jim: But fear.
-
Brother Jim: But should Christians fear?
-
David: Bible says fear not.
-
Brother Jim: Fear not.
-
Brother Jim: We still do.
-
Brother Jim: Sometimes we still worry overcoming that.
-
Brother Jim: So again, when you ask yourself, am I a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: Do the little checklist on yourself.
-
Brother Jim: Maybe there is that nagging worry, that nagging fear.
-
Brother Jim: And why don't you do something about it?
-
Brother Jim: My friends.
-
Brother Jim: I'm scared.
-
Brother Jim: I'm embarrassed.
-
Brother Jim: I don't do well with people.
-
Brother Jim: I've heard a lot of reasons why people won't ask for prayer.
-
Brother Jim: David don't want to bother you.
-
Brother Jim: You can bother me.
-
Brother Jim: We are in and we've talked about a spiritual warfare, my friends.
-
Brother Jim: Spiritual warfare, doubting, doubting.
-
Brother Jim: Are you a doubting Thomas?
-
Brother Jim: And some of us were a little harder to believe, aren't we?
-
Brother Jim: Some of our mindsets.
-
Brother Jim: But to me, it's a pretty simple question.
-
Brother Jim: Are you a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: Are you a follower of Jesus Christ?
-
Brother Jim: And if you were to die today, are you going to heaven or are
-
Brother Jim: you going to hell?
-
Brother Jim: And there's no in between?
-
Brother Jim: And you know, David, how many people will stand before God,
-
Brother Jim: stand before Christ and shout, that's their only defense.
-
Brother Jim: I believed in you.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: I went to church.
-
Brother Jim: I volunteered, I taught Sunday school, David.
-
Brother Jim: I did Bible bibs and a prayer, and you missed the whole thing.
-
Brother Jim: And that is the thing, a
-
Brother Jim: personal relationship with
-
Brother Jim: Jesus.
-
Brother Jim: Because once he takes control of
-
Brother Jim: the boat, folks, you better hang
-
Brother Jim: on tight.
-
Brother Jim: You don't know where he is going to take you.
-
Brother Jim: But David, it's pretty cool.
-
Brother Jim: It is.
-
Brother Jim: That's where your faith comes in.
-
Brother Jim: You think as we grow older, David, the excitement seems to
-
Brother Jim: fizzle out in our lives.
-
Brother Jim: That excites us.
-
Brother Jim: That gets us.
-
Brother Jim: It's not like being a kid for me, okay?
-
Brother Jim: That excitement of a new adventure.
-
Brother Jim: Because we always say, hey, if we're going on vacation, David,
-
Brother Jim: we're the ones that have to.
-
Brother Jim: And moms and moms, don't get me wrong, it takes a lot of work to
-
Brother Jim: go on vacation.
-
David: Sucks all the fun out of it.
-
Brother Jim: Exactly. There you go.
-
Brother Jim: Thank you.
-
Brother Jim: Being a Christian isn't like that.
-
Brother Jim: It does not suck the fun out of you.
-
Brother Jim: And I think that's a big stereotype for Christians.
-
Brother Jim: They're no fun.
-
Brother Jim: They're boring.
-
Brother Jim: They're.
-
Brother Jim: No, that's not true.
-
Brother Jim: That's not true at all.
-
Brother Jim: And I've met Christians, dude.
-
Brother Jim: I mean, from Harley riders to everyday Joes, you know.
-
Brother Jim: What is the definition?
-
Brother Jim: What are the requirements?
-
Brother Jim: I don't see anything about that, David.
-
Brother Jim: Thou shalt not ride a motorcycle.
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Thou shalt not belong to a motorcycle group.
-
Brother Jim: Christian motorcycle group to boot.
-
Brother Jim: You know, uh, again, is that mankind trying to stereotype to
-
Brother Jim: put Christianity in a box?
-
Brother Jim: Is that the world?
-
Brother Jim: Is that the devil trying to
-
Brother Jim: maintain it in a small little
-
Brother Jim: box that makes it look
-
Brother Jim: unappealing?
-
David: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Using the stereotype.
-
Brother Jim: Well, my friends, ask yourself, am I a Christian?
-
Brother Jim: Examine yourself.
-
Brother Jim: AM I doing am I doing right by God?
-
Brother Jim: AM I serving him?
-
Brother Jim: Or am I serving myself a little bit more, or I've just fallen
-
Brother Jim: off the wagon.
-
Brother Jim: I'm completely serving the world.
-
Brother Jim: We need to keep an eye on one another.
-
Brother Jim: We need to keep an eye on ourselves.
-
Brother Jim: And that's where if you pull in
-
Brother Jim: just a few tight brothers and
-
Brother Jim: sisters, that keeps you
-
Brother Jim: accountable.
-
Brother Jim: Who helps you tend your garden?
-
Brother Jim: It'll be a lot easier.
-
Brother Jim: It will be a lot easier, but
-
Brother Jim: that means you have to take a
-
Brother Jim: step of faith that you have to
-
Brother Jim: trust.
-
Brother Jim: But guess what?
-
Brother Jim: Number one, pray about it.
-
Brother Jim: Say, Lord, I need a couple friends in here that I can trust
-
Brother Jim: that can hold me accountable to make sure when I reexamine
-
Brother Jim: myself, just think about it.
-
Brother Jim: I can get on the scales.
-
Brother Jim: Hey, I look good for this weight.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah, I can still fit in my jeans.
-
Brother Jim: I'm good versus having a doctor say, dude, you're fat.
-
Brother Jim: You need to lose weight.
-
Brother Jim: Nobody wants to hear that so we
-
Brother Jim: can kind of fudge the numbers
-
Brother Jim: sometimes when we self exam,
-
Brother Jim: can't we?
-
Brother Jim: David.
-
David: Absolutely.
-
Brother Jim: But if we have somebody else who is doing it out of love and that
-
Brother Jim: walk with you.
-
Brother Jim: Ooh, sometimes, David, we need
-
Brother Jim: to be brutally honest with one
-
Brother Jim: another.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah we do, but we not in a mean
-
Brother Jim: spirited way, but in a way of
-
Brother Jim: love.
-
Brother Jim: You know?
-
Brother Jim: Think about it.
-
Brother Jim: Think about it.
-
Brother Jim: Well, my friends, the time has come.
-
Brother Jim: The end is near.
-
Brother Jim: As we face the final program for just a little bit.
-
Brother Jim: David and I is going to take some time off here to, uh, we
-
Brother Jim: got some cool ideas.
-
Brother Jim: And, uh, again, I know it's been a long time coming.
-
Brother Jim: Have give us a little, uh, grace on this, but, uh.
-
Brother Jim: It's kind of funny how we can
-
Brother Jim: sit here and put our heads
-
Brother Jim: together and not think of
-
Brother Jim: anything.
-
Brother Jim: And then out of the blue, David comes up with a great idea.
-
Brother Jim: It's like so simple.
-
Brother Jim: So yeah, we can't wait to get back to you.
-
Brother Jim: And David, would you like to tell him?
-
Brother Jim: Remind him again on how they can view our previous showings.
-
David: Yeah, absolutely.
-
David: This, this episode here is our
-

David: Wow.
-
David: One hundred and fifty fifth total.
-
Brother Jim: one hundred and fifty.
-
David: We have done one hundred and fifty five of these as of today.
-
Speaker 4: That's crazy.
-
David: Man. I know when you stop and think about it.
-
David: Yeah.
-
David: So like, like, like Brother Jim said, we've got great ideas.
-
David: It's just it's time and resources, right?
-
David: You can't see it.
-
David: But there's a thirty foot pew
-
David: sitting over here in the area
-
David: where we wanted to do some
-
David: things.
-
David: So we're, we're, we're a work in progress.
-
David: We're always, we're always.
-
Brother Jim: If you need a thirty foot pew, please reach out.
-
David: Let us know.
-
Brother Jim: But but here's the catch.
-
Brother Jim: You gotta figure out how to get it out of this room.
-
Brother Jim: And if you want to bring a chainsaw.
-
Brother Jim: No, I'm not going to say a word.
-
David: But if you look us up on YouTube
-
David: while we're out, if you just go
-
David: to YouTube and search Bible bibs
-
David: on a prayer, you'll find our
-
David: channel.
-
David: It has all one hundred and fifty five episodes on it, so you can
-
David: pull those up, watch them at your convenience, and you can
-
David: download the podcast.
-
David: They're all available.
-
David: All one hundred and fifty five of them are out there.
-
David: We're on, we're on all the platforms, iTunes, iHeartRadio,
-
David: US, Amazon Music.
-
David: If you have an Alexa device, you can say, hey, Alexa, pull up
-
David: Bible bibs in a prayer.
-
David: They're going to hate that because I just triggered
-
David: everybody's Alexa by doing that.
-
Speaker 6: So.
-
Brother Jim: Uh, that's all right.
-
Brother Jim: They still love us.
-
Brother Jim: They still.
-
David: Love. That's right, that's right.
-
David: Thanks for tuning in.
-
David: And like Brother Jim said, we'll we'll be back.
-
David: We'll be back for season four.
-
Brother Jim: Wow. Season four.
-
Brother Jim: Who would have.
-
David: Thought I know.
-
Brother Jim: Who would have thought?
-
Brother Jim: And we want to thank you, our
-
Brother Jim: faithful listeners, viewers and
-
Brother Jim: I would love in our off time, if
-
Brother Jim: David could get a list of all
-
Brother Jim: the countries and we could list
-
Brother Jim: them there just to say, hey,
-
Brother Jim: look at look at what two hill
-
Brother Jim: jack.
-
Brother Jim: Well, one hill jack and one it guy can do.
-
Brother Jim: And again, I know we're hokey and especially me and.
-
Brother Jim: But you know what?
-
Brother Jim: Here's the deal.
-
Brother Jim: If one person.
-
Brother Jim: We make them laugh, we make them smile.
-
Brother Jim: We make them feel just a little bit better about themselves.
-
Brother Jim: Or maybe they hear better yet.
-
Brother Jim: And this is what I'm shooting for when I say, you know, you're
-
Brother Jim: loved, you have meaning, you have value, and you listen to
-
Brother Jim: what we say, you know?
-
Brother Jim: Yes, there's a lot of entertainment out there a lot.
-
Brother Jim: And I enjoy other podcasts, I
-
Brother Jim: really do, but we're growing
-
Brother Jim: here.
-
Brother Jim: We're trying to do right.
-
Brother Jim: And again, one of my big things is to get more guests on here.
-
Brother Jim: I think that would really be cool.
-
Brother Jim: Yeah.
-
Brother Jim: Haven't missed Buffy on there.
-
Brother Jim: Went really well and Ellie and again, but you know, we need to
-
Brother Jim: know what you want to hear to what you want to see.
-
Brother Jim: That would help us out tremendously.
-
Brother Jim: So let us know.
-
Brother Jim: Well, my friends, that just about does it for this Thursday.
-
Brother Jim: The iPad has died, so I am totally.
-
Brother Jim: I've been winging this.
-
Brother Jim: In case you didn't know.
-
Brother Jim: But you know, as we say here.
-
Brother Jim: Count your blessings.
-
Brother Jim: Smile.
-
Brother Jim: Rejoice that you're alive.
-
Brother Jim: But again, count your blessings.
-
Brother Jim: Just thank God.
-
Brother Jim: Just thank God you're alive.
-
Brother Jim: Thank God for what you have.
-
Brother Jim: And if we meet again, then we're going to smile and rejoice.
-
Brother Jim: And if not, this parting was well made.
-
Brother Jim: Thank you for joining Dave and
-
Brother Jim: myself here on Bible Bibs in
-
Brother Jim: prayer.
-
Brother Jim: Have a good summer.
-
