  1. I hope and pray. I hope and pray that uh

  2. that God speaks to you today. I got

  3. something for you. I really believe that

  4. God wants to do something in your life.

  5. Listen, I don't know. I don't know if

  6. you're here and uh maybe you've been

  7. going to church your whole life. I don't

  8. know. I'm excited that you are. Maybe

  9. you're here and you're just trying to

  10. figure out like my friend, I see

  11. something different in their life and I

  12. want to know what it is and they tell me

  13. to keep coming to this church and so

  14. you're here today to kind of check it

  15. out. May maybe you're here just to kind

  16. of prove to everybody that what we're

  17. doing here is janked up and it's not

  18. right and and it's stupid and I don't

  19. know I don't know why you're here. But

  20. listen, I'm hoping and praying that

  21. every individual number one experiences

  22. the presence of God more than anything

  23. else. And then number two will will will

  24. know for a fact that before you leave

  25. this place that Jesus Christ is madly

  26. and passionately in love with you and

  27. desires a relationship with you more

  28. than anything else. And I'm hoping that

  29. you leave here. I don't care how long

  30. you've been in church your whole entire

  31. life. I I hope and pray that you leave

  32. here changed some way, form, or fashion.

  33. And if you're here today and you don't

  34. you're you're thinking like, um, I'm

  35. just here to check it out. Listen, I

  36. don't think it's by accident. I don't

  37. think it's by accident one bit that

  38. you're here. I think you're here for a

  39. divine appointment because God loves you

  40. so much and he wants to meet you right

  41. here today in this in this cinema, in

  42. this movie theater, how whatever you

  43. want to call it. I really think that God

  44. wants to meet you today and it's not by

  45. accident that you're here. Right. So,

  46. let me dive into the story. I I I just

  47. basically want to share a story with

  48. you. It's a story that Jesus told. He he

  49. spoke in what they called parables. And

  50. parables were basically stories that he

  51. used fictional characters, but they

  52. illustrated the people of that time. And

  53. he used also basically these fictional

  54. characters also illustrate the people of

  55. our time today. All right? And so, I

  56. think that it can replicate all the way

  57. up to 2026. And so I want to I want to

  58. share a story with you about what we

  59. call in the church as the prodical son

  60. or or the lost son. And so basically

  61. you're going to see three different

  62. people in here, but we're only going to

  63. talk about two. We're going to talk

  64. about a father who represents Jesus.

  65. Then we're going to talk about a younger

  66. son, which represents us. All right? Uh

  67. and and then the older son is a whole

  68. another story behind it, but we won't

  69. get into that today. So we're going to

  70. talk about a father and we're going to

  71. talk about uh his younger son. And and

  72. basically the younger son was wanting to

  73. run away from the father. All right. Now

  74. remember we represent the son and the

  75. father represents the dad. So I here's

  76. what I want. I want to read the

  77. scripture. Scripture will be on the

  78. screen. It be on the text. Uh uh the

  79. text will be right up here. I I want to

  80. read it to you and I just kind of want

  81. to stop and break it down to you and

  82. just kind of explain to you what I

  83. believe Jesus is saying to the people

  84. he's speaking to. And and it's just for

  85. us as much for us today as it was to the

  86. people Jesus was talking to. So here's

  87. what it says in Luke 15 11. It says

  88. this. It says to illustrate the point

  89. further. Jesus told them this story. Now

  90. when he says to illustrate the point

  91. further, he had just got through telling

  92. two other stories. He talked about a

  93. lost coin where a lady lost lost some

  94. money and she started flipping her house

  95. upside down to look for her lost coin

  96. that she had lost. Then it also talked

  97. about a man who had lost a sheep and he

  98. had 100 sheep, lost one. And the Bible

  99. says that he left the 99 to go look for

  100. the sheep. Where are the sheep? The

  101. shepherd is Jesus. All right? And so

  102. basically it goes into now talking about

  103. a son that was lost. And so says to

  104. illustrate the point further, Jesus told

  105. them this story. A man had two sons. The

  106. younger son told his father, I want my

  107. share of your estate now before you die.

  108. So his father agreed to divide his

  109. wealth between his sons. says the

  110. younger son told his father, "I want my

  111. share of your estate now before you

  112. die." So, I need you to get a picture. I

  113. here's a dad and here's a young son. The

  114. son thinks he knows it all. He got it

  115. all figured out. And he tells his daddy,

  116. "Hey, Dad, I want your inheritance

  117. before you die. I want everything. The

  118. will that you've written up for me, I

  119. want it so that I can go out and live

  120. for my life the way I want to live my

  121. life." Now, what you got to understand

  122. is when you look at the scripture, it

  123. says, "I want my share of your estate."

  124. Which means that this daddy was loaded.

  125. All right. He had lots and lots and lots

  126. of money. He had some cash. All right.

  127. Or euros or pounds or whatever y'all do

  128. over here. All right. I don't know. But

  129. he had lots of money. All right. And so

  130. basically the son comes to him and tells

  131. him, "Dad, I want that money." Now, you

  132. got to understand if he lived in an

  133. estate, he had everything he want. He

  134. had servants. These servants would come

  135. and fold his clothes for him. These

  136. servants would fix his dinner for him.

  137. These servants would scratch his back.

  138. These servants would do whatever he

  139. wanted them to do. He also had his own

  140. bedroom. He had his own Spider-Man

  141. sheet, Mandalorian Grove sheets, I don't

  142. know, on his bed. He had whatever he

  143. wanted on his sheets. Listen, I

  144. guarantee you he had pictures of his son

  145. on his mantel or on his hallway. He had

  146. a refrigerator. This boy had everything

  147. he wanted inside his daddy's house. He

  148. could have gone to the refrigerator and

  149. get anything out of the refrigerator. He

  150. could have got a Guinness. Ain't that

  151. what you said last service? A Guinness.

  152. Yeah, I've already I tried a Guinness. I

  153. went through the Guinness factory here

  154. and I hope I don't offend anybody, but

  155. uh you'll find out later on with the

  156. message that I don't really like

  157. alcohol, but I got to the top and they

  158. gave us like a shot and I took a shot

  159. and sent it back. I blew groceries

  160. everywhere. It was nasty. And so, um but

  161. HE COULD LISTEN, THIS son had everything

  162. that he wanted, but he looked at his dad

  163. and said, "Dad, I want my life the way I

  164. want my life." Listen, there's a lot of

  165. us in this room that have that same

  166. mentality. It's called the I want

  167. mentality. I want my life. I'm going to

  168. do my life the way I want to do my life.

  169. I don't care what you want from me, God.

  170. I'm going to do what I want to do. And

  171. so, basically, this son had everything

  172. he wanted. He just didn't like his

  173. daddy's boundaries. But inside his

  174. daddy's house, he was safe. Inside his

  175. daddy's house, he was protected. Inside

  176. his daddy's house, he had purpose.

  177. inside his daddy's house. He had

  178. everything you wanted, but he thought

  179. that he could do it better. And so Jesus

  180. is telling them, "Hey, you represent the

  181. son and there's a place where I have

  182. everything that you want as your father.

  183. I have everything that you want, but you

  184. still desire to live on your own and do

  185. the do the things that you want to do

  186. and you want your life for your life."

  187. And basically, there's a great

  188. possibility in this room and in all the

  189. other campuses that are watching,

  190. there's a great possibility there are

  191. people that are living right now with

  192. the I want mentality. I want my life and

  193. I don't want anybody else to have part

  194. of my life. I'm going to live the way I

  195. want to live my life. And to be honest

  196. with you, when you do that, and you'll

  197. see next in the text, when you do that,

  198. you begin to live a dangerous life. You

  199. begin to live a life that's got no

  200. purpose. You begin to live a life that's

  201. that's missing things, and you're trying

  202. your best to figure out what's going on

  203. in my life. So, I'm about to get you

  204. there in just a second to help you

  205. understand what's happening and how you

  206. get back to having a full life. All

  207. right. So it goes on to say, "The

  208. younger son told his father, I want my

  209. share of your estate now before you

  210. die." So listen to what it says. He

  211. says, "So his father agreed to divide

  212. his wealth between his son." So his

  213. father agreed. You know what

  214. his the daddy didn't get down on his

  215. knee whenever his son said, "Hey, I want

  216. my share of your estate." The daddy

  217. didn't get on his knee and say, "Son,

  218. would you just please stay? I just beg

  219. you to stick around and hang out with

  220. us. Ju just stay, son." He didn't do

  221. that. the the dad said, "All right, if

  222. that's what you want to do, because you

  223. have free will, you can do what you want

  224. to. You you can step outside of these

  225. boundaries if you want to and you can go

  226. do your own thing. If you want your

  227. life, you go live your life." Now,

  228. listen, everybody in this room, if

  229. you're here today and you say, "You know

  230. what? I don't want to have anything to

  231. do with God. I don't need God in my

  232. life. I'm going to do what I want to do

  233. without God." God's not going to look at

  234. you and say, "Would you just please

  235. stay? Stick around. I just need you with

  236. me. Just just don't don't leave." You

  237. know what's going to happen? God's gonna

  238. say, "Okay, if that's what you want,

  239. then go. You can go and you can go with

  240. everything that I've blessed you with.

  241. You can go with the gifts that I'll

  242. bless you with. You can go with the

  243. personality I've blessed you with. You

  244. can go with everything, but it still

  245. ain't gonna work out for you. Nothing's

  246. gonna work out. It's all going to be

  247. empty one day. So, he goes on to say,

  248. says a few days later, this younger son

  249. packed up all his belongings. Get the

  250. picture. Remember, he had everything he

  251. wanted inside that house. And so, he

  252. packed his bags, baby. He's like, "Man,

  253. I'm going to go live on my own. I'm

  254. going to do what I want because I can

  255. run my life better than anybody else

  256. running my life." So few days later this

  257. younger son packed all his belongings

  258. and moved to a distant land. You know I

  259. I believe that when he comes to a place

  260. of talking about a distant land you

  261. remember everything is illustrated. So

  262. what I think that Jesus is saying here

  263. when he says he moved to a distant land

  264. I believe he's trying to explain to us

  265. that there's a place for you to really

  266. move away from God to move outside the

  267. boundaries of God to walk in the I want

  268. mentality. There has to be a place where

  269. in your conscience because to be honest

  270. with you, the Bible tells us that

  271. everybody knows that there's something

  272. out there larger than them. The Bible

  273. tells us that everybody knows in their

  274. real in their heart that there is a God,

  275. that there is a creator, that he is

  276. real. And we don't have time to cover

  277. all of that today. We could be here all

  278. day on that. And Jamie's a lot smarter

  279. than me, so maybe he'll preach it next

  280. week. Big picture is this is that there

  281. for you to have to walk away from God

  282. because you know truth whether you know

  283. where you act like you don't or not or

  284. whether you say you don't know truth you

  285. you know truth

  286. what has to happen is some way form or

  287. fashion we have to suppress that truth

  288. and we have to push it away so what do

  289. we do we have to find things wrong with

  290. the church we have to find things wrong

  291. with Christians we have to find things

  292. wrong with God we got to find things

  293. wrong with everybody that represents God

  294. as much as possible so that we can feel

  295. better about ourselves walking away from

  296. the truth

  297. And what do you do? You go to a distant

  298. place in your mind. You go to a distant

  299. place in your conscience. You go to a

  300. distant place to move away from who God

  301. is. And there's a great possibility out

  302. of all four locations that are watching

  303. tonight today. There's a great

  304. possibility that all the people that's

  305. here right now in this service, a 12:00

  306. service, that there's a great

  307. possibility that there are people

  308. sitting in the chairs that have

  309. suppressed the truth. You know the

  310. truth, but you said my way's better. I

  311. know better. And so you're living the I

  312. want mentality when in reality I think

  313. the question I'd have for you is how's

  314. it working out for you? How's it working

  315. out for you? It goes on to say

  316. it says so when he moved to this distant

  317. land he says and there he wasted all his

  318. he wasted he didn't say he spent says he

  319. wasted

  320. all his money on wild living. You know,

  321. whenever I think about life, when I

  322. think about what what was Jesus trying

  323. to communicate with the people at this

  324. point, when I think about money, to have

  325. a real life, you got to have money some

  326. way, form, or fashion. It whe there's a

  327. little money, whether it's a lot of

  328. money, whether it's, you know, mediocre

  329. money, you got to have money some way,

  330. form, or fashion to live. And so, I

  331. believe what Jesus is saying when he

  332. says he wasted all his money. I think

  333. what he's saying is is that he moved

  334. away when he moved away with all his

  335. dad's stuff and he wasted his life his

  336. money on wild living. He was basically

  337. saying when you move away from God, you

  338. begin to waste your life on things that

  339. don't matter. Because wild living didn't

  340. matter. It didn't do anything to help

  341. his life. And if you're here today and

  342. Jesus is not a part of your life, what I

  343. would say to you as as gentle and as

  344. kind as I can, I personally believe that

  345. there's a place where you're wasting

  346. your life because God created you for

  347. him. God created you to glorify him. God

  348. created you to raise the name of Jesus

  349. and make his name famous. God raised

  350. you. God. Listen, God God placed you on

  351. this earth. What allowed you to be born

  352. your creator so that you could serve him

  353. for the purpose of him serving you and

  354. for the purpose of you serving others

  355. and for the purpose of you having

  356. purpose in your life by knowing the

  357. creator, by knowing God, by allowing

  358. Jesus to walk in your life. And any

  359. listen, anything outside of Jesus, I'm

  360. telling you, hear me and I'm fix to give

  361. you my story in just a second. Anything

  362. outside of Jesus is a waste. It's a

  363. waste.

  364. There's nothing outside of Jesus that

  365. that satisfies. Only Jesus satisfies.

  366. This is what it goes on to say. So there

  367. he wasted all his money on wild living.

  368. Then he goes on to say, he says about

  369. the time his money ran out, a great

  370. famine swept over the land and he began

  371. to starve. Listen, there will come a

  372. time I need you to hear me. If you're

  373. here today and you're like, I'm living

  374. the I want mentality. I'm going to live

  375. my life for me. I'm gonna do what I want

  376. to do. I'm going to push God away and

  377. I'm going to suppress the truth and I'm

  378. going to do what I want to do. I'm going

  379. to live for me. Here's what's going to

  380. happen. I believe that what Jesus is

  381. saying here is he's saying that his

  382. money ran out and a great famine swept

  383. over the land and he began to starve. I

  384. believe that that is spiritual. I

  385. believe there is a spiritual famine

  386. that's taking place in your life and you

  387. are spiritually starving for truth.

  388. There will come a place where you'll

  389. start to starve and you'll start looking

  390. for answers because you're wondering,

  391. "How in the world did I ever get to this

  392. place, man? Nothing ever satisfies. My

  393. God, there's got to be more to life than

  394. this."

  395. Listen, whenever I was 24 years old,

  396. um that's when I met Jesus. That's when

  397. I gave my life to Christ. So, so um I

  398. would me and my boys would go to the

  399. clubs every weekend. I every weekend.

  400. And we did it for years. And so I'll be

  401. honest with you, I didn't like to drink.

  402. I don't like the taste of alcohol. It's

  403. nasty to me. That's why I bought blue

  404. groceries whenever I drank the Guinness.

  405. But the the big picture is is I I didn't

  406. like to drink. So I was a DD. I was a

  407. designated driver. And so I would drive

  408. all my my buddies around, my boys. I'd

  409. drive them and we'd go to the we'd go to

  410. the Circle K and we get the cheap beer.

  411. We get the cheap alcohol because

  412. everything else inside the club is

  413. expensive. So we we pour. All right. So

  414. we sit we sit out in the parking lot and

  415. we finish the beer. And every single

  416. week, every single week in the parking

  417. lot, we'd have the exact same

  418. conversation. The exact same

  419. conversation. I guarantee you there are

  420. people in this room that's had this

  421. conversation before if I was guessing.

  422. And in the other rooms that are

  423. watching, we This is what the

  424. conversation went like. My god, there's

  425. got to be more to life than this.

  426. There's got to be more to life than

  427. this. I mean, it's the same old mundane,

  428. same old thing every single week. I

  429. mean, I I I I get up on Monday, hate

  430. Mondays, got to go to work because it's

  431. the rest of the week. I get to

  432. Wednesday, hump day, fired up about

  433. Wednesday, fire, it excites me. And I

  434. don't know if y'all like us, we have to

  435. do weekends and stuff on that's our days

  436. off. And then Friday gets here and woo,

  437. it's a party. Saturday's here, man. I'm

  438. off work, everything's great. Sunday,

  439. I'm off work, everything's great. Oh my

  440. god, Monday's back here. Monday's

  441. miserable because I got a whole week to

  442. got to go to work. And then oh,

  443. Wednesday's here. Hump day. And then we

  444. get to Friday and here we go again.

  445. Party day on Saturday. Sunday. Here we

  446. go again. Monday. I hate Monday.

  447. Wednesday. Hump day. And then Friday.

  448. And here we go again. It's Saturday. And

  449. here goes Sunday. And Monday. And then

  450. we go. I don't know if that makes any

  451. sense because I'm just maybe giving you

  452. the American life. I don't know what

  453. y'all's work looks like. But here's the

  454. deal. There's a place where it becomes

  455. so mundane and you're sitting there

  456. miserable because everything is just a

  457. cycle of just constant misery of

  458. constant the same thing every single day

  459. all day and you're missing out on what

  460. life's really about because that

  461. miserable Monday where you have work

  462. when you have Jesus it becomes a mission

  463. field and all of a sudden my job's got

  464. purpose. I I there's so much we could

  465. talk about, but the big picture is is

  466. like listen, God didn't create you to

  467. live a mundane life. He didn't create

  468. you in this cyclical world of just doing

  469. the same old thing every day, Monday,

  470. home day, weekend, woo, Monday. It's

  471. that's not it. That's not what he

  472. created you for.

  473. Thing about it is is there's a place

  474. where there's a lot of people in this

  475. room who are spiritually starving.

  476. And here you are today getting adhered

  477. to a American, a redneck country boy

  478. from Alabama. Y'all don't even know what

  479. that means. But the big picture is

  480. everybody else in Alabama does. The

  481. thing about it is is you. God brought me

  482. here to share with you that he's in love

  483. with you and he's calling you to himself

  484. and he's trying to get you out of this

  485. cyclical cycle. If that's the I say I

  486. think I said the same thing twice. He's

  487. trying to get you out of it. He wants

  488. you free. And the only way you find

  489. freedom is in him.

  490. I can't explain it. Listen,

  491. 24 years old. I'm going I'm going to the

  492. clubs. I'm going to the bars.

  493. Sundays I'd go to church because that's

  494. what we do. That's what we do in

  495. America. We go to church on Sunday

  496. because that's what everybody does. And

  497. so we go to church on Sunday. I'd go to

  498. church for the wrong reasons. I like it

  499. when people go to church for the wrong

  500. reasons. I'd go to church for the wrong

  501. reasons. I'd go to church looking for a

  502. good church girl. I'd go to a big church

  503. because there's more fish in a big pond.

  504. I I I went to a big church looking for a

  505. good church girl. I never heard what the

  506. preacher said, the pastor. THERE'S ONE

  507. DAY BECAUSE HE TALKED about like he

  508. talked about sports. I love sports. He

  509. talked except soccer. I'm just kidding.

  510. Don't throw nothing at me in Jesus name.

  511. Listen. Oh, what do y'all play? Ga

  512. Gaelic. Oh yeah. Yes. Listen. So the the

  513. big SO HE PREACHES AND I ACTUALLY LISTEN

  514. TO WHAT HE'S SAYING AND HE'S ANSWERING

  515. ALL MY QUESTIONS THAT ME AND MY BOYS

  516. HAVE ON FRIDAY NIGHTS, SATURDAY. He's

  517. answering all my questions and I'm like,

  518. "Huh,

  519. I think I'm going to try this Jesus

  520. thing. I'm gonna give it a shot." And

  521. that day I said, "I I'm I'm going after

  522. Jesus with everything that I am." I

  523. didn't know ANY OTHER WAY TO DO IT. AND

  524. SO THAT'S WHAT I PLANNED ON DOING. And

  525. so I used to work for Coca-Cola. It was

  526. the worst job in America. Don't ever

  527. work for Coca-Cola. All right. Maybe

  528. Guinness, but not Coke. So on Friday, I

  529. was a hell raiser. On Monday after that

  530. Sunday, I gave my life to Christ. I was

  531. a holy roller. I'm 54 years old. I know

  532. it's hard for some of y'all to believe.

  533. I got that baby face. I got that olive

  534. olay. Works wonders, baby. Listen, I I I

  535. I basically my life is still radically

  536. changed because it was the real deal. He

  537. changed my life the same way he wants to

  538. change yours. Some of you in your other

  539. in all your rooms that you're watching

  540. me and maybe you're here, you're seeing

  541. all these people around you worshiping

  542. Jesus like, man, why they just got their

  543. hands raised? They like on a roller

  544. coaster or something like, man, why they

  545. all look passionate and getting all

  546. fired up and JUST WHAT'S WRONG WITH

  547. THESE PEOPLE? WHAT WHAT'S WRONG WITH

  548. THEM? THEY THEY'VE met Jesus. Jesus

  549. radically changed their life just like

  550. he wants to change your life. Listen,

  551. God did not put you here by accident.

  552. Listen, if you got a heartbeat inside

  553. your chest and you got air in your lungs

  554. and you're standing on this ground, hear

  555. me. You have got A PURPOSE AND GOD'S NOT

  556. DONE WITH YOU. HE wants to use you in a

  557. big way. Y'all clap more in the first

  558. service. This must be better. And I'm

  559. sweating harder in my belly button.

  560. Anyway,

  561. listen. God wants to use you.

  562. It's purpose. THAT'S WHY YOU GOT TO COME

  563. EVERY WEEK TO LEARN. YOU NEED TO COME

  564. AND SIT UNDER PASTOR JAMIE'S preaching

  565. and pastor Lobby and all the other

  566. pastors got weird names. Listen,

  567. I'm just kidding. I love you, Lobby.

  568. Listen, I I need you to understand. I

  569. need you to understand that God is so in

  570. love with you. I'm fix to show you.

  571. Remember, we're the son that ran. This

  572. is what happens with the son. This is

  573. what what happens. It says he persuaded

  574. a local farmer to hire. So, remember he

  575. started he was starving. HE WAS HUNGRY.

  576. THIS old boy could have picked up and

  577. went back home anytime he wanted to. But

  578. his pride got him. His pride got him so

  579. much like I just my dad, you know, I'm

  580. just not going to go back. I you know,

  581. my dad probably told me like I don't

  582. need to leave. But he gave it to me

  583. anyway. He told me like I I should

  584. probably say he actually agreed, but I

  585. shouldn't have gone. But I don't I I'm

  586. going to go to this pig pin because I

  587. don't want to look like a a And

  588. so what did he do? says, "A young man

  589. became so hungry that even the pods he

  590. was feeding the pigs looked good to him.

  591. So he went and worked at a pig farm. A

  592. pig farm.

  593. His pride kept him in his place. There's

  594. a great possibility there are people

  595. here today that have made fun of God,

  596. who have made fun of Christians, who

  597. have who have said, "I'll never do any

  598. of that Christian stuff."

  599. And honestly, you're hearing right now

  600. that you know what? I really need to

  601. make a decision to follow Jesus.

  602. But what's happening is is you're

  603. pushing it away because your pride's

  604. keeping you from falling in love with

  605. Jesus and giving your life to him

  606. because you've told everybody else,

  607. "I'll never do that." Can I go ahead and

  608. tell you right now, if you've said

  609. negative things to Christians, they're

  610. not going to be mad at you if you give

  611. your life to Christ. They going to

  612. celebrate with you whenever you give

  613. your life to Christ. They gonna be

  614. pumped for you. And what I would say is,

  615. if that's you, what I would say is is

  616. come to Jesus. Get up out of the pig

  617. pin, the spiritual pig pin. Stop eating

  618. with the pigs, man. Get you get your get

  619. you some abundant life. Jesus came to

  620. give you abundant life. And so, let him

  621. give you what life is really about. It

  622. goes on to say this. Says, "The younger

  623. man became so hungry that even the the

  624. pods he was feeding the pigs looked good

  625. to him, but no one gave him anything."

  626. Listen, nobody in this world is going to

  627. give you anything but Jesus. Jesus is

  628. the only one that can give you true

  629. life. He's it. Jesus is the only one.

  630. says this. Says when he finally came to

  631. his senses,

  632. listen everybody you see worshiping like

  633. getting their hands up. I hope my belly

  634. ain't falling out. Listen, everybody's

  635. got their hands up worshiping and you

  636. looking around like many people are

  637. weird. Guess what? They had a defining

  638. moment in their life when they finally

  639. came to their senses. Every single one

  640. of them, everybody in this room who

  641. followed Jesus, including myself, has a

  642. defining moment at some point where they

  643. met Jesus. And I'm one of them. 24 years

  644. old. I just got through telling you I

  645. had a defining moment in my life where I

  646. made a decision to pursue after Jesus

  647. and he radically changed my life. Has

  648. everything been perfect? Has everybody

  649. thing been great? Am I perfect? Lord,

  650. no. Not even close.

  651. But the big thing is is he radically

  652. changed my life and he's given me

  653. purpose.

  654. So,

  655. there's a place where some of you here

  656. need to have a defining moment where

  657. you're going after the I want mentality.

  658. The I want mentality. I'm gonna do what

  659. I want to do. I'm gonna follow my life.

  660. I'm going to do what I want to do. And

  661. then you gonna get in that pig pin and

  662. there's a place where you need to turn

  663. around and you say, "You know what? I'm

  664. going to go home to daddy. I'm going to

  665. go meet my dad. I'm going to go back and

  666. tell my dad. Dad, I've made a mistake."

  667. Listen what? Listen what listen what the

  668. boy did. Listen what the son did. So

  669. he's sitting at the pig pin. He came to

  670. his senses and this is what he said to

  671. himself at home. Even the hired

  672. servants, the servants that folded his

  673. clothes, that made his dinner, that

  674. scratched his back. He says, "Even the

  675. hired servants have food enough to

  676. spare, and here I am dying of hunger.

  677. I'll go home to my father." He He's

  678. humbled himself. Hum. This is It takes

  679. humility to say, you know what? I was

  680. wrong. The I won't mentality don't work.

  681. I was wrong.

  682. says, "Even the hired, I will go home to

  683. my father and say, 'Father, I've sinned

  684. against both heaven and you, and I'm no

  685. longer worthy of being called your son.

  686. Please take me on as a hired hand."

  687. There's a place where humility has got

  688. to set in. He's like, "You know what?

  689. I'm wrong. I've been wrong forever

  690. trying to live my life, doing my life

  691. the way I want to do it. And now I'm

  692. going to place my life under the

  693. authority of Christ, and I'm gonna

  694. follow Jesus." His life is so much

  695. better than anything we could ever do

  696. for our personal life.

  697. So, it goes on to say, "Woohoo! This is

  698. This is good." All right, you ready? All

  699. right. I'm about to get a little

  700. passionate, y'all. Okay, with that,

  701. y'all good? In Liverpool, in Liverpool,

  702. they they said, "You can't get excited."

  703. I know y'all got some issues with the

  704. UK. We need to have some freedom groups

  705. for y'all. Listen, I make y'all happy.

  706. When I was at the UK, there are certain

  707. things that we say and do in America

  708. that's different than what they do in

  709. America that's bad and and the UK that's

  710. bad. And so, I flipped everybody off in

  711. the UK. I gave him the peace sign, but I

  712. did it sideways. And apparently, that's

  713. the Okay, it's the bird. Anyway, listen.

  714. So, so

  715. it says, "So he returned home to his

  716. father and while he was still a long way

  717. off,

  718. daddy's outside waiting on him. He's

  719. looking for his boy."

  720. SAYS, "FATHER SAW HIM COMING." FILLED

  721. WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION, HE CAME. HE

  722. RAN to his son, embraced him, and kissed

  723. him. And his son said to him, "Father,

  724. I've sinned against both heaven and you,

  725. and I am no longer worthy of being

  726. called your son." But his father said TO

  727. THE SERVANTS, "QUICK, BRING THE FINEST

  728. ROBE IN THE HOUSE AND PUT IT ON MY SON.

  729. GET A RING FOR his finger and sandals

  730. FOR HIS FEET. KILL THAT FAT HEER WE HAVE

  731. BEEN that we had in the for in the in

  732. the farm. WE WE MUST CELEBRATE with a

  733. feast for this son of of mine was dead

  734. and is now returned to life. He was

  735. lost, but now he is found. SO LET THE

  736. PARTY BEGIN."

  737. SO YOU DIDN'T KNOW JESUS LIKED TO PARTY,

  738. DID YOU? I told y'all he met me at a

  739. club.

  740. I got saved at a club. He rescued me at

  741. a club. He likes a party.

  742. Listen, let me give you a picture. I

  743. want you to think about this. All right?

  744. Think about think about the daddy, the

  745. father who represents God. Every single

  746. day, he goes out to the end of the

  747. driveway, the camel way, I don't know

  748. whatever they had back then. All right?

  749. He's at the edge of his yard, I'm sorry,

  750. garden. And he's looking across across

  751. the fields and every single day he's

  752. looking at his other son saying, "Hey, I

  753. know your younger brother's coming home

  754. one day. I need you to keep an eye out

  755. for him because I know he's going to

  756. come home one day. AND HEY, SERVANTS, I

  757. NEED YOU TO KEEP AN EYE OUT. My my boy,

  758. my son, is coming home. I need you to

  759. keep up and find him. I need you to

  760. look. I'm going to be out here looking

  761. for him on a regular basis. I need you

  762. to look for my boy. And then there's

  763. that one day when that old boy came to

  764. his senses

  765. and all of a sudden his dad's looking

  766. out across the fields that he'd been

  767. looking out for days and months, maybe

  768. even years looking for his boy. and he

  769. looks across the fields and he sees this

  770. he sees this this somebody's just

  771. walking looks like a silhouette and he

  772. sees this he sees this this man coming

  773. across the fields and he's looking he's

  774. like it it look it looks like my boy it

  775. IS THIS MY SON IT'S MY BOY MY BOY IS

  776. HOME YOUNGER BROTHER OLDER BROTHER S MY

  777. BOY IS HOME AND HE SEES HIM WALKING TO

  778. HIM AND THE BIBLE SAYS HE TAKES off

  779. running sprinting not walking. He don't

  780. come up to him like shame, shame, shame.

  781. Everybody knows your name. YOU YOU'RE A

  782. BAD SON. HE DIDN'T DO THAT. THAT'S THE

  783. WAY a lot of people think God is.

  784. Basically, he ran TO HIS BOY, TACKLED

  785. HIM, HUGGED HIM, KISSED HIM, AND GET GET

  786. YOUR TAIL UP. HEY, KILL THAT COW. WE

  787. GOING TO HAVE A FEAST TONIGHT. WE GOING

  788. TO PARTY. PUT A RING ON his finger,

  789. sandals on his feet, whatever that

  790. means. ENJOY MY BOY TONIGHT. HE'S HOME.

  791. Let me give you a bigger picture.

  792. I believe that Jesus is standing at the

  793. edge of heaven and he's watching you.

  794. Daughter, son, who's saying today, I'm

  795. tired of the pig pin. I'm going to come

  796. to my senses and I think I'm going to

  797. get up from this place and I'm going to

  798. do something different in my life. And

  799. Jesus sitting at the he's sitting at the

  800. edge of heaven and he's looking and he

  801. says, "Hey angels. Hey Michael. Hey

  802. Gabriel. Hey, listen. My daughter's

  803. gonna come home. I know today's the day.

  804. Today's the day. I feel she's coming

  805. home today. I WANT Y'ALL TO WATCH FOR

  806. Y'ALL BE LOOKING. Y'ALL, MY SON, my my

  807. boy, he's coming home today. He's down

  808. there at at Lighthouse Church. And I'm

  809. telling you, he's going to come home

  810. today. She's going to come home today.

  811. I'm looking. I'm watching. And then

  812. inside your heart, you start to push

  813. away all the suppression that you did

  814. with the truth. You start recognizing

  815. LIKE, I WAS WRONG. OH MY GOODNESS, I'M

  816. IN with the spiritual pigs and I need to

  817. get out. AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, YOU SAY,

  818. "JESUS, I'M COMING AFTER YOU." AND ALL

  819. OF A SUDDEN, YOU START MAKING YOUR WAY

  820. TOWARDS GOD. And Jesus is in heaven

  821. LOOKING DOWN SEEING YOU. IT'S LIKE,

  822. "HEY, ANGELS, MICHAEL, GET THE GET THAT

  823. HORN READY. GABRIEL, GET YOUR VOICE

  824. CLEARED OUT. GET READY TO SING CUZ we

  825. going to HAVE A PARTY TONIGHT. MY GIRL,

  826. SHE'S COMING HOME. MY BABY, MY BOY IS

  827. COMING HOME TONIGHT." AND ALL OF A

  828. SUDDEN, Jesus begins to chase after you.

  829. He tackles you. He hugs you. He kisses

  830. you and SAYS, "GET THE PARTY READY."

  831. WE'RE HAVING A PARTY. MY DAUGHTER'S

  832. HERE. My daughter's home.

  833. He's looking for you. He loves you so

  834. much.

  835. He's calling your name.

  836. He's calling you by name. And he's

  837. saying, "Come home."

  838. He's on the edge of He's on the edge of

  839. heaven waiting every day for you to

  840. come. You know why? Because he loves you

  841. that much.

  842. He loves you so much.

  843. Listen, this there's nobody in this

  844. room, including myself, including Jamie,

  845. especially Jamie, that does not deserve

  846. God,

  847. nobody in this room.

  848. But Jesus, he said that yet while we

  849. were still bad people, while we were

  850. still not good people, the Bible uses

  851. the word sinners. While we were yet

  852. sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus gave

  853. his life for you so that you can have

  854. life. You can have an abundant.

  855. And what I would say to you today is if

  856. your heart is strayed away from God, I

  857. would say come home. Get up out that pig

  858. pin and let's go. Man, God's got so much

  859. for you. Would you let him have you?

  860. Daughter, he loves you.

  861. Hey son, he loves you. You take one step

  862. towards him, he going to take a hundred

  863. towards you. You start walking towards

  864. him, he's going to run towards you. Just

  865. takes that. It just takes one step. He's

  866. coming to get you.

  867. So why don't you let him have you? All

  868. right. You could do that by just crying

  869. out to him today like, "God, I'm done."

  870. That's what I did. I didn't do nothing.

  871. All I said in my spirit, I said,

  872. "Today's today. Today today I'm

  873. following Jesus and he changed my life.

  874. Let him change yours." All right.
