So, you can turn in your Bibles to Genesis chapter 1.
Genesis 1 chapter mention
-
Taking it to the beginning. We did that last week.
-
Genesis chapter 1 as we continue our series called the basics and
Genesis 1 chapter mention
-
we really are keeping it basic through this series not, not
-
getting complicated. Now getting fancy, we're not
-
doing any biblical gymnastics up in here. we're just sticking
-
with kindergarten sticking, with the ABCs we've talked about Now,
-
I don't know if I can name them. All better.
-
We got a few and lucky. And the hopper talk about Sunday
-
worship. We've talked about, we did a
-
sermon on faith. We did a sermon on the kingdom
-
of God and the mission of God that was last week.
-
What else are we done? somebody's got their notes, and
-
they're going to be able to just I don't think so.
-
No, that was then. Faith Message though.
-
We're talking about receiving by faith.
-
I figured somebody would have their notebook and be like, I'm
-
down. I'm all done more than three
-
last week was the mission of God.
-
We laughing at. So today for the basics, we're
-
doing male and female. Can't get much more basic.
-
So we're in Genesis chapter 1. I want to read to you from verse
Genesis 1 chapter mention
-
27 and we're also going to go to Genesis chapter 2.
Genesis 2 chapter mention
-
So we'll be here for a while. So God created, man in his own
-
image. In the image of God, he created
-
him male and female he created them.
-
So right away in Genesis we see the Lord's design.
-
You know when you read Genesis and when you talk about a sermon
-
like this it can feel what's the point.
-
This is so obvious, this is so basic.
-
Well, I'm sure for thousands of years in church history, they
-
didn't they probably didn't see the value of y.
-
The Lord would have said this in the word.
-
Why did he need to say male and female he created them.
-
But we're of course in this moment in the day and age we
-
live in. We're very thankful that the
-
Lord was very plain and very clear with Distinctions that he
-
made. Why?
-
Because we always want what what his ideal is and if the world
-
has something different to offer, well, if we don't have
-
the word of God to stand on, then it we might consider that
-
an area where we have freedom and that might genuinely be
-
okay, except that the word of God has a distinction.
-
We can generally assume that we are okay.
-
That we do have freedom, the body of Christ has lots of
-
Freedom, the world has been given lots of freedom but there,
-
but there. Our perimeters, the Lord has
-
given us a box. He says, you'll do.
-
These are the perimeters, you can do anything in here, but if
-
you leave this box, it's called sin.
-
It's sin against God. It's unacceptable.
-
So, this bought, well, I don't want to stay in a box, I want
-
true Freedom. Now, this is true Freedom.
-
This is what the best looks like outside of the box brings
-
catastrophe outside of the box brings damage.
-
So that's not actually Freedom. It's inside where you can bring
-
freedom. So we understand this very
-
quickly and very easily when we think about Out our children, or
-
for those of us who don't have children yet, we know that when
-
we were children, our parents provided perimeters and
-
parameters because of their love and they didn't let us walk out
-
into the highway and say, I want to be a free kid.
-
I'm gonna do whatever I want, well, but I love you.
-
So I'm not gonna like you walk into the road.
-
This is the same way that the Lord sees all of his children.
-
Well, I want to do whatever I want.
-
Well, I understand that's a normal desire.
-
That's your flesh that your selfishness, and that's your
-
tendency. But as your heavenly father, I
-
have commands And expectations to say you need to do what I
-
want. Well, that's selfish of you.
-
Well, you would think so again in your immaturity, but it's
-
actually for your good as well. So, it does honor me because
-
that's a priority, but it's also actually what's best for you?
-
I'm not taking something from you.
-
I'm giving something to you. Well, I don't see it that way.
-
Spoken like a child spoken, like a sinner spoken, like a human.
-
But me being God. And you being not God.
-
I will direct and I will Define what the There's are so the Lord
-
created them male and female. We see in creation.
-
God loves making distinctions. He loves it.
-
God is so big. He's so vast.
-
He's so infinite. He had to make all of this.
-
He had to make the varieties that he made.
-
He had to go so far and so far beyond some people get hung up
-
on things like the the expanse of the universe.
-
Like but if it's all just doing this, tiny little blue dot cold
-
Earth and why even this and why even that and Some of those
-
things are out of our jurisdiction but also if you can
-
be humble enough to answer it like a sheep, who knows how to
-
listen to The Shepherd. You can just recognize because
-
he's God because he's big and because he's creative and
-
because he wants distinctions because he wants black holes to
-
suck in light, and he wants a son to create the brightness.
-
He wants all of these things, he made them, he made these
-
distinctions, he made deserts, and he made jungles, he made
-
mountains, and he made valleys, he made glaciers and he made
-
desert. He made birds that fly, and he
-
made fish that swim. He made the cheetah that Sprints
-
and he made the slug that crawls.
-
He made man and his strength. He made woman in her beauty, and
-
it all brings him glory, and it's all perfect for us, it's
-
perfect. There's no Brokenness, There's
-
no distinction. Well, I feel differently about
-
it, right? Spoken like a human, but when we
-
can submit ourselves, and when we bring ourselves back under
-
his covering, that's where the blessings are again.
-
We see this with our Children, we understand parents.
-
You love your kids, so you do what's best for them?
-
It's not always the thing that they would choose, but it's
-
always the thing that you believe, that's best for them.
-
So, our maleness and our femaleness is God's design and
-
it goes from the visible body parts, the obvious things right
-
from the boy parts and girl parts all the way down to our
-
invisible chromosomes. But it goes further, it goes all
-
the way into our invisible Souls.
-
So Binary design of male and female is not something that we
-
can miss. It's not something that's absent
-
from the scripture. All throughout the word of God,
-
male and female distinctions are made the Bible clearly defines
-
God as being male, but he doesn't make a spectrum of
-
gender. Regardless of what anyone else
-
may say? Well, how do you know?
-
Well, because we trust the word of God.
-
So, these conversations when we think about it in culture and
-
today, I don't want to just be a preaching to the choir message.
-
Just like we prayed at the beginning, this is not.
-
Not a yeah. Look at them.
-
Yeah, they are they definitely are in Rebellion.
-
There's no question about that, but that's what the world does.
-
If you don't know God, you hate God.
-
You are Godless, you're going to live in Rebellion to him.
-
Well, what's the solution? Well, the solution is the
-
gospel. The solution is the word of God,
-
telling people the truth, why? Well, because the word of God is
-
sharper than any two-edged sword.
-
It's the very thing that can cut them.
-
Open for their good. It's the surgery.
-
It's not the sword that can just stab him to kill.
-
But think of it more as the scalpel that can open them up
-
and then remove their Stony heart and put in the heart of
-
Flesh that they God wants to put in so that people would be
-
softened and see God's goodness. So flip over to Genesis chapter
Genesis 2 chapter mention
-
2. Now we're going to read from
-
Verse 18 through 24. Genesis 1 gives the account of
-
Creation in Genesis 2. Gives it a different model.
-
Gives it a different way as Moses continued to right here.
-
Genesis 2:18. Then the Lord God said, it is
-
not good that the man should be alone.
-
I will make a helper fit for him.
-
Now, out of the ground, the Lord God had formed every beast of
-
the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the
-
man, to see what he would call them.
-
And whatever the man called every living creature.
-
That was its name. The man gave names to all
-
livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast
-
of the field. But for Adam, there was not
-
found. Found a helper fit for him.
-
So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man and
-
while he slept, he took one of his ribs and closed up its place
-
with flesh and the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man
-
he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
-
Then the man said this at last is bone of my bones and Flesh of
-
My Flesh. She shall be called woman
-
because she was taken out of Of man, therefore a man shall
-
leave. His father and mother his male
-
and female and hold fast to his wife and they shall become one
-
flesh. And the man, and his wife were
-
both naked, and they were not ashamed.
-
Back up to verse 18, it's not good for man to be alone.
-
God said everything that was he had made was good, he did this.
-
It says and he said it was very good, he did this and it was
-
good, he did this and it was good.
-
Then at the end, it was very good and then we have the first
-
not good. But this is weird because God
-
made everything and he calls everything good but he found
-
something. He says this isn't good, what's
-
not good? It's not good.
-
That man should be alone. Why is it not good for man to be
-
alone because God had plans like we learned last week?
-
God had plans to expand and to multiply for starters.
-
Adam could not expand and multiply by himself, and because
-
Adam also needed a companion. Adam needed his counterpart.
-
He needed his compliment. Loneliness is not good.
-
This is why the most severe punishment that we can give to
-
someone to keep them alive. Anyway, is solitary confinement.
-
This guy's already in prison. We want to punish him even more.
-
How can we punish him even more? Let's make him go be alone.
-
Let's lock him up in. In isolation, why?
-
Because it's not good for man to be alone.
-
So, let's put him in isolation where he can suffer even more
-
greatly. And God brings everything to
-
Adam to let him. Look, I'll name the animals,
-
I'll name the animals, but a companion.
-
A helper wasn't found fit for him.
-
The dog that was as close as they could get me this hill.
-
This thing will obey this thing will fetch my slippers.
-
This guy who go get the newspaper each morning.
-
You know, I can train him to sit and come and go.
-
I like this guy but he's still Still not quite right?
-
It's still not, it's still not what I'm looking for, Lord.
-
So he brings the woman to him. So why else is it not good for
-
man to be alone because the creation itself needed Eve's
-
gifts and Eve's calling as a woman because Adam and Eve are
-
different, not just because of their genitalia.
-
Although their genitalia is the most obvious and first clue,
-
their nakedness would have shown very See Clearly who was who and
-
what was what one being more muscular and hard-won, being
-
more feminine and curvy and soft.
-
Again, this is the Lord's, good distinctions that he loves to
-
make and he calls it very good. But the world needed Eve's
-
gifting and calling as she and Adam would fill and subdue the
-
Earth together. What else do we see Happening
-
Here? We see the issue of headship
-
being established immediately. We see headship of husband and
-
submission of wife being made. Plain from the very beginning.
-
How so who named Adam who gave adam is named God, did who named
-
the animals Adam did who named Eve Adam did so naming in the
-
word of God always is a show of headship to name.
-
Someone who names a baby who named who named Asher his
-
parents biblically throughout history.
-
It's a very new thing for actually Chris.
-
He's joking but it's a very new thing.
-
When mama's name the baby all throughout human history.
-
Fathers have named the children. This has just been the way y so
-
we'll because the husband is the head of his wife.
-
Well, I'm a powerful woman. I'll name my baby if I want to
-
well, spoken like a very modern American woman, but at the same
-
time not the most biblical perspective.
-
This is not a hard case for you. Have the father has to name the
-
child but the it's funny how the distinction is flipped entirely
-
180, right? So it used to historically be
-
although it wasn't a Biblical command for the father to name,
-
the child it was tradition. But now in the name of equality,
-
how do we get equal? What would equal means 50/50
-
right now? No equal means me do it also
-
it's that's hypocrisy and nonsense of course.
-
But what do we see? We see headship and submission
-
taking place. What are we talking about today?
-
We're talking about the basics male and female.
-
What does it mean to be male? What does it mean to be female?
-
What is the point of the male? What is the point of the female?
-
But in our day and age in particularly in the month of
-
June? I saw fit and the Lord saw fit
-
for us to talk about the distinctions of just the fact
-
that the Lord made them male and female.
-
There's a lot more than we could say.
-
That we won't have time to get into today.
-
We won't get into the essence of what is a man?
-
We won't get into the essence, fully of what is a woman.
-
But we are starting with the most obvious statements that
-
there is a man, and there is a woman.
-
So God, let's keep looking here. God takes a rib.
-
Why would God take a rib? Everything he does is on
-
purpose. Everything he does is with
-
distinction. Nothing is just add.
-
Which we do. We got to make stuff happen.
-
Do we need a ribeye? We need this all.
-
We need that. We just keep winging it nothing.
-
God is doing in. In is by accident.
-
It's all all of our Doctrine comes from Genesis Genesis, we
-
said in seed form. It's not fully grown yet.
-
It's just a seed. Do you really have a doctrine of
-
headship just from that? Yeah.
-
How do you know? Well, because the New Testament
-
makes reference back to Creation.
-
This is where all the New Testament Arguments for headship
-
and submission are made not because well consider their
-
cultural principles. Now it's always back in
-
creation. So we know how to interpret the
-
Bible from the Bible but God takes a rib.
-
So woman came out of man, right but woman and man are not the
-
same but woman came out of manso was there.
-
I think there's this Theory where Adam was just this
-
androgynous creature who was neither male nor female, the
-
only problem with that is the Bible disagrees, if the Bible
-
didn't make it And if the Bible made it sound like that, then I
-
would go with that because that's what the Bible says.
-
But remember this is always the authority church as
-
conversations happen as confusion continues to mount in
-
our world, in our society. You don't have to have all of
-
the answers, you just have to trust the word of God.
-
You just have to have faith in God's word.
-
This is where conversations will always go next.
-
The word of God is ultimately the thing that always gets
-
attacked. So people will often hide behind
-
their lies. They'll pretend that they just
-
see it differently. They'll pretend that they just
-
feel a little bit differently but as you press the issue as
-
you continue to come back to lovingly but as you come back to
-
well the Bible clearly states, then what comes under attack is
-
the Bible itself. Well that was written by because
-
they've seen like The DaVinci Code or something and they think
-
their biblical experts or You know, they've watched something
-
on the History Channel and they know, and they think that aliens
-
wrote, the Bible, or whatever it may be, or I grew up in the
-
church and my daddy was a pastor or I was a pastor, don't listen
-
to a backslider, do not take your theology, your advice and
-
how to follow King, Jesus from a backslider OD saying I'm saying
-
you should love them but you should not listen to them and
-
receive instruction from them. Again, that's basic right?
-
This isn't like don't take Financial advice from a broke
-
person, you know. I mean this isn't hard stuff.
-
So, Adam God takes the rib out of Adam.
-
So woman came out of man, but she is still distinct from man
-
and now, men come from women. So the first in the first place,
-
woman comes out of man. This is all in 1st Corinthians
-
11 as well. The first woman comes out of man
-
and now man come out of women but there are still distinct
-
from women so God chooses a rib. Would it ribs do with these?
-
What is the rib cage? Doing?
-
The ribs are protecting our heart.
-
The ribs are protecting our other.
-
Most vital life-giving organs. This is to show something about
-
Eve. This is to show what part of
-
these purpose is going to be. When I going to go fully into it
-
today but it's to give you the distinctions is to show you the
-
differences. She has access in that she
-
didn't have before that. No one had before.
-
Why? Because she's close to Adams
-
heart. This is what a wife is to be to
-
her husband. This is how a husband is
-
supposed to cherish his wife. So already right here in these
-
first few verses is there that much there?
-
Oh, absolutely. How do you know?
-
Well, because in the New Testament, these very teachings
-
are laid out and made plain For Better or Worse.
-
Eve has access and her husband wives For Better or Worse.
-
You have, you have this closed access to your husband's heart,
-
you can impact him, you do affect him, he is your head
-
whether or not you believe that or like that he is that husband,
-
she is close to your heart and she can't be separated from your
-
heart for better or worse, whether or not you honor her
-
appropriately. This is the way the Lord has
-
made to to become one so we are connected.
-
To one another, but we are still distinct from one another.
-
Adam is the head of Eve. A husband is the authority over
-
his wife, and he is to love her and care for her, like his own
-
bones parents with their baby, that came from their bodies.
-
The way that they love that baby.
-
This is a husband's love and care for his wife is that same
-
picture, the way parents look at their newborn baby.
-
Go look what we've made. This is amazing.
-
Look what we've done, the the love, the devotion, the
-
instantaneous bond that happens. This is what the Lord, the
-
picture he has. For a husband to say, this is
-
how I want you to care. Or cherish and love your wife.
-
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast
-
or stay with or connect to and keep close to his wife.
-
It's the idea of the man pulling his wife in clothes covering
-
protecting blessing healing cherishing.
-
Why? Because she's a part of me.
-
Just like the parents were that baby?
-
What will the parents do? What will they not do to protect
-
their baby parents? What would you not do for your
-
kids? There's nothing that you
-
wouldn't do. Well, this is the same thing
-
that's required of husbands. Well, I'll do anything for my
-
kids but not for my wife. The Lord, the Lord doesn't make
-
room for that. The this is what headship looks
-
like. This is what it means to be.
-
And this is why the scripture makes it plain in First
-
Corinthians 11. Christ is the head of man.
-
Man, is the head. A woman.
-
So this headship actually implies responsibility and of
-
course, who's the head of children with parents, are
-
husband, and wife. Father, and mother are the heads
-
of the children. They shall become one.
-
Flesh Genesis keeps telling us here, one flesh, but still
-
distinct May own female. So the Lord does create this
-
physical the spiritual, in this emotional Unity, they become one
-
flesh. This is through.
-
What happens in the marriage bed, this is through the
-
intimacy that the Lord intended, that spiritual that physical,
-
and that emotional Act of a husband and wife, where they
-
come together when a man goes into the woman, all this part of
-
the Lord's design, all this to keep showing, but they're still
-
not to, there's still one and they're still to our culture and
-
In keeps distorting this. And this is the message that
-
we're hearing particularly again, in the month of June,
-
where the world is celebrating their sin, where their glorying
-
in things that they should be ashamed of where they're raising
-
the middle finger up to God and Rebellion.
-
They use phrases, they steal our own language.
-
They say things like Love Is Love.
-
And they say things that they're arguing and pretending to have
-
some clarity and pretending to have some revelation.
-
But it's it's nonsense. It's a lie.
-
Hebrews 13:4 specifically talking about marriage, let the
-
marriage be held in honor among all What is marriage.
-
Well, marriage is what the Bible says, marriage is it was what
-
the Lord first created. It was a man and a woman one,
-
man, and one woman that's what marriage is Well I think
-
marriage is this where the Supreme Court voted on
-
marriages? That there is a court that is
-
more Supreme than the Supreme Court.
-
So these nine human beings may have voted one thing and it
-
didn't change the law of God. He didn't suddenly cater to our
-
whims and our beliefs and our flexibility Let marriage be held
-
in honor among all and let the marriage bed, be undefiled, why
-
for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
-
So what does that tell us? It tells us that there is such a
-
thing as being sexually immoral. There is the world says, there
-
is no such thing as sexual immorality.
-
Well, I know a person who's like this and they're really nice.
-
Hang on, don't get it confused. Don't get it twisted and this is
-
where the appeal to emotion happens.
-
If you ever Of something called a logical fallacy logical,
-
fallacy, a logical fallacy would be one example of a logical
-
fallacy would be what's called an appeal to emotion.
-
So rather than handling the content of the conversation, the
-
content of the argument itself, I see it one way, Chris sees it
-
another way and I'm saying, hey Chris God teaches this and Chris
-
says well, You just hate someone so I'm like, hang on a second.
-
Chris just isn't it now, Chris is now making an appeal to
-
emotion. Chris is made a mistake in the
-
argument, he's using a logical fallacy.
-
Now, if in my immaturity and my lack of wisdom, I may follow him
-
down this Rabbit Trail and then we both get lost forever and we
-
never returned back to the subject.
-
Many are guilty of that, you may start off with well.
-
The Lord says this, and then a person instantly in our culture
-
makes an appeal to emotion. Why are you so blank?
-
A phobic, why are you so? Transphobic, why are you so
-
homophobic? Why are you so whatever phobic,
-
why are you so racist? Why are you so whatever?
-
They're instantly trying to knock you off your heels.
-
They're being as wise as a serpent.
-
They're not being as harmless as a dove though.
-
Christians often make the mistake only of being as
-
harmless as a dove. But Jesus didn't come.
-
And it's only to be as harmless as a dove.
-
He commanded you to be as wise as a serpent.
-
So that is to be able to recognize what's happening and
-
to not be a coward and to not be bullied by someone who is
-
telling you You're a bully. This is the hypocrisy of the
-
satanic mind. This is the hypocrisy or what
-
are you calling these people? Satanic?
-
Most definitely. Yes.
-
Let there be no confusion there. That doesn't mean that they all
-
worship Satan. But it means that people who
-
teach these things. People who teach that male and
-
female can switch people who teach that male can become
-
female people who are rejoicing and sins that God calls an
-
Abomination, we are to love them because God loves them.
-
And loving people, distinctly means telling people the truth
-
just like Jesus did and just like the word of God does why?
-
Well, because God will judge the immoral and that God will judge
-
the sexually. Immoral, do we want these people
-
to be judged? They're standing in the highway,
-
the truck is coming. We're telling them to get out of
-
the road because that judgment truck will destroy them and I
-
believe in hell and I know that people suffer and burn forever
-
and ever. Lie under the wrath of God, but
-
they don't have to. So when they call me a hateful
-
bigot, I can't turn away just because they're spinning the
-
script and flipping things on me, I have to actually love them
-
past it just like I have to love when I had two year olds and
-
they would throw a fit and they want to get their car seat.
-
I didn't just go, you know what he thinks.
-
I'm being a mean Daddy right now.
-
So I don't want to cause any trauma here.
-
I don't want to cause any damage, you know, he's been hurt
-
so many times. So many people in his life, he
-
put him in a car seat. And here I am.
-
Another guy just stuffing this child into a car seat.
-
I need to be compassionate. Let me hear his story.
-
Hey two-year-old tell me your story.
-
This is the nonsense that the church uses nowadays.
-
There are famous famous famous pastors, who when they are asked
-
specifically. Now, in public pastors, who have
-
very big platforms, they're asked specifically.
-
Because this is what the world wants to do.
-
They want to pin you down on. Do you believe the Bible?
-
Because then they want to instantly label.
-
You a hateful bigoted and homophobe and all these other
-
things. So, these pastors get asked
-
these questions all the time. Famous artist, I watch multiple
-
videos this week, they just grieve my heart.
-
They said so. So do you believe homosexuality
-
is a sin? And instead of just just say,
-
with the book says, like, you didn't invent this yourself,
-
bro. You don't have to stand on your
-
own two feet, you're standing on the scripture.
-
You didn't invent it and you're doing this out of love, but
-
because these pastors don't love people and they love themselves
-
and their own platforms or because Christians don't love
-
people enough and because they love themselves and their own
-
reputation. And because they're worried
-
about being canceled, and they're worried about their
-
losing their job. And the worry about all these
-
things that we worry about instead of faithfulness to God,
-
well, I just think we ought to stick with the gospel.
-
This is the gospel. This is the gospel.
-
Well, I feel like we ought to just tell people Jesus loves
-
them, but that's not the whole gospel.
-
The gospel is Christ died for your, what for your sins.
-
The problem with the world that we live in is no one.
-
Has any Sims No one has any sins.
-
You hateful, bigoted Christian, how dare you?
-
I'm not a sinner. God loves me.
-
Whoa. Whoa, do you see the switch?
-
We just made their weight. I'm not a sinner.
-
God loves me. Hang on a second.
-
You can be a sinner and still be loved by God your flippant, your
-
wise as a serpent, very crafty, very crafty, very manipulative
-
but not harmless. but as long as you engage with people and
-
expecting them to be reasonable and kind and fair and you don't
-
stand on the logic of the word of God, you'll be confused.
-
As long as you don't remember, the basics of male and female
-
you'll be confused. The church has to fight where
-
the fight is. So another way that the world
-
argues against this and other way, that even Christians would
-
argue against a sermon like this is, they would say things like
-
John Michael. I don't think we should be
-
political. That doesn't make any sense.
-
I'm not being political. Well, yeah, these are political
-
issues. What does that mean?
-
What does that mean? If you would ask someone about,
-
what do you mean? It's political.
-
I can't help that these things, make their way into law and
-
courts, like, but I'm not allowed to just stay out of it.
-
Am I allowed to talk about the murder of infant's of unborn
-
babies? Know, that's political.
-
Okay. Am I allowed to talk about the
-
grave sin of Sodomy and how it's spreading through our country
-
and being promoted and being pushed and how children or
-
having surgeries to mutilate their bodies and being lied to.
-
And being told that they can be something that they can't be and
-
that they will never be. Yeah.
-
You can't talk about that because that's political.
-
Okay. Am I allowed to talk about
-
murder? Well, yes.
-
As long as the person has been born, okay, but if that becomes
-
political will live in, not be allowed to talk about it, do
-
you? Can talk about its nonsense.
-
You can't allow a broken world to make the rules.
-
Stop pretending that they're acting reasonable, because
-
they're not Have have some courage to speak the truth in
-
love. Why are we doing these things?
-
Because we love people because God loves people and because
-
love, always tells the truth because Jesus died for people's
-
sins, these truths are self-evident.
-
Well then why aren't people admitting it?
-
Let's see what the Bible says. Go to Romans chapter 1.
Romans 1 chapter mention
-
Matthew Mark, Luke John acts Romans.
-
God made them male and female. Jesus reiterated this by the
-
way. So if anybody ever tells you you
-
know again people in their ignorance.
-
Some people they will say Jesus was all about love and love is
-
Love Again. A nonsensical statement that you
-
know, accomplishes what they wanted to accomplish because
-
they're able to say Love Is Love what they mean is.
-
If I love someone I love someone if I love something, I love
-
something. Well, that's true.
-
I can't argue with you there. That was never my Arguments
-
begin with argument is hey, sin is bad.
-
I'm not saying love isn't love. I'm saying sin is bad and our
-
goal as the church to clarify. Again is not to just to get
-
people to stop sinning, our goal, very much, is to see
-
people be born again. So for the homosexuals that I
-
know or the, or the people who are living as the opposite
-
gender from what, the Lord created them to be my goal for
-
them is to not just get them to switch back.
-
So You know, for the guy that I know who says he's now a woman,
-
my desire and love for him is not to just get him to come back
-
and say I'm a man. Again, we still going to hell,
-
why? Because he's a sinner, and he
-
doesn't have the blood of Jesus. So that's that is not the thing.
-
We're after, you know, for the people that I know who curse all
-
the time, and not just like, hey, I just want Frank to stop
-
cussing and if I could just get him to stop cussing.
-
Okay, well, Frank will go to hell without cursing now.
-
So obviously we still want people to Is formed.
-
But if people's hearts are so hardened that they won't
-
acknowledge and recognize sin, then I'm not doing them any
-
good, but the world will use this line.
-
They'll say Jesus didn't say anything about blank.
-
They'll Jesus didn't say anything about whatever I shall
-
go there really quick, just to show you.
-
You stay where you're at. In Romans 1, Matthew 19.
-
They're asking Jesus about divorce.
-
Jesus quotes Genesis, he answered.
-
Have you not read that? He who created them from the
-
beginning, made them male and female, okay, so now you have
-
Jesus even though we know we don't have to have Jesus talked
-
about every single thing when Jesus never said, anything about
-
cannibalism so Checkmate, I'll do whatever I want.
-
Well, you know, that's foolish nonsense but Jesus did talk
-
about marriage. He made them male and female and
-
said, therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and
-
hold fast to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.
-
So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
-
Therefore what God has joined together.
-
Let no man separate. Okay.
-
Jesus just affirmed marriage of man woman.
-
So again, that that Jesus didn't say anything about
-
homosexuality. Yes, he did.
-
He just did. He didn't say a lot of things
-
about a lot of things because these truths are self-evident
-
Romans chapter 1. I'll prove it to you.
Romans 1 chapter mention
-
Romans 1:18. for the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven
-
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who by
-
their unrighteousness suppress the truth, This is the primary
-
tactic that I am observing right now of Satan's work.
-
He is suppressing the truth hating the truth, I watch the
-
documentary the other night it's called what is a woman?
-
It came out earlier this month and it's a guy going around and
-
he's just asking he's asking people what is a woman and no
-
one will Define it even when he's asking women, who clearly
-
know that there are women, so he's not just asking trans
-
people. He goes up.
-
Like a mother and an aunt and the two daughters.
-
And these are just like normal looking women.
-
And he, and they're at the women's March and he goes, hey,
-
I'm just here at the women's March yet.
-
What is a woman? And they all just kind of smile.
-
Look at each other. What are they doing in that
-
moment? They are suppressing the truth.
-
Why? Because they know, they know
-
what the answer is, they know, it's not complicated.
-
The littlest children in this room, know what a woman is, but
-
they're suppressing the truth. Why?
-
Because they hate God, this isn't this isn't hard.
-
They loved the darkness rather than the light.
-
What are we supposed to do about that?
-
Well, we continue to bring in the light, well, with what hope
-
with the hope that the word of God will come.
-
Them to the heart and that they will use that moment of Faith to
-
repent. They will get to cast their own
-
vote on what they do with it, but we're responsible to be
-
faithful. What is a woman?
-
And no one would answer. And then of course he goes to
-
the more ridiculous people as well.
-
The professor of gender studies, gender studies, you would think
-
the gender studies Professor has a definition for the woman,
-
right? The gender studies Professor was
-
the absolute worst in the whole documentary.
-
He absolutely refused to answer and often times throughout the
-
documentary, people would give the answer when he would say,
-
what is a woman? They would say a woman.
-
Is anyone who identifies as a woman, you can't use a
-
definition. You can't use the word to define
-
the word. This is a rule for defining
-
things, everybody. What's a TV?
-
Well, a TV is a TV, folks. Jamychal.
-
You didn't aunt. That's circular reasoning.
-
You didn't answer. What a TV is, I have to Define
-
TV without using the word TV. A TV is this flat surface box
-
thing, that brings images. And shows and entertainment and
-
color and light and sound to you, okay, I've defined TV,
-
maybe a poor definition probably could have done better there but
-
you get the rough idea but all throughout the documentary
-
people suppress the truth. You see them pause there they're
-
ready to answer but they're like oh wait it's not 20 years ago.
-
So now I have to pretend that a woman is and then they, as they
-
work through the lies in their mind and then mental gymnastics,
-
you see them start to well, you know, woman can be anything.
-
He said this is a bearded man. He's a, can I be a woman that
-
like if you think you are, and they all kind of chuckle at the
-
absurdity coming out of their own mouths and they're
-
realizing, we really are idiots. We really are that far gone.
-
It Grieves me a grieve me. This whole, the whole thing
-
grieve. Me, me and Natalie watched it.
-
It just grieve me now, it encourages me to remember that.
-
These are extreme minorities, but it Grieves me at the
-
traction that is being gained and it reminds me that the
-
church has been silent. And it's been the church is
-
niceness, and it's been the church's harmless as a dove -
-
And not the wise as a serpent - that has allowed the world to
-
get to where the world has gotten.
-
We are the salt of the earth we have not preserved the Earth
-
from his rot. We are the light of the world we
-
have not Shine the Light on the darkness and we've been told
-
that there's only two options that you have to be either wise
-
as a serpent or or as harmless as a dove.
-
And Jesus commanded both and wise as a serpent and harmless
-
as a dove. Now, the lies come whenever, the
-
people start to tell us, you're harming me now, you being a
-
tender conscience, Christian, and that moment will have to be
-
careful, not to believe. Another lie, you're harming me
-
with what you're saying. No, you're suppressing the
-
truth. I love you and God loves you,
-
but you're suppressing the truth.
-
And this is the tactic that Satan is used against the church
-
to silent the church because the church is compassionate.
-
We know that we love these people o people you're a
-
homophobe and as a tender conscience Christian I go my
-
goodness am I I think hateful and as they fall to pieces, or
-
they cry or they say, you won't use my pronoun.
-
I'm like, maybe I should I do that.
-
I can't believe you won't come to our wedding.
-
Should I go to their wedding? And we start to wrestle with
-
these things. Go back to the book fear God.
-
And not, man, these people are suppressing the truth.
-
How do you know? Because he said, so, what if
-
they rage screaming in your face that they're not suppressing the
-
truth? Let Mandy found a liar and like,
-
God be found true for the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven
-
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who by
-
their unrighteousness suppress the truth for what can be known
-
about God is plain to them. Meditate on that word.
-
Y'all meditate on that verse Christian what can be known
-
about God is plain to all of us. The reason we can't speak with
-
conviction is because we actually don't believe the
-
Bible. And I don't believe God.
-
If I've prayed, I've tried, I've done this.
-
I've done that. I've done this under that.
-
Do you believe them? Do you believe God's word?
-
What can be known about God is plain to them?
-
It's plain to them. Well I don't feel like it's
-
playing to me. Hey man, will come on over.
-
Like let's spend some time open in the Bible together and I will
-
spend time in my living room. I like, I want to help you.
-
I want to bless you. I just want to open the word of
-
God, and I believe that the Lord is going to bring light to you.
-
God loves you. He really does care about you, I
-
care about you. But let's turn to the scriptures
-
together because this is where light comes from.
-
I don't believe that I've saw the History Channel.
-
One time about the Bots, suppressing, the truth
-
suppressing, the truth suppressing, the truth, why?
-
Because their deeds are Arc and they don't want the light to
-
shine on them. Who said that Jesus did.
-
That's what Jesus said. Right after the most famous
-
verse in the whole Bible. Is that's what he said.
-
People won't come into the light.
-
Why not? Jesus?
-
Because their deeds are dark. Their deeds are evil and they
-
don't want them to be exposed. Now this is not our shaking
-
fists to them but this is our conviction.
-
This does stiff in our spine in the face of the entire mob.
-
We're able to just say I love you and you are suppressing the
-
truth. And then, of course, as they
-
call us hateful, they spit on us and do all those other things,
-
and we welcome it. Why?
-
Because in that moment, you can know.
-
You are being persecuted for Christ's sake and they'll claim
-
that you're not. No, you're not being persecuted.
-
If you are like Jesus, you would be loving because Love Is Love
-
In Jesus. So these people who hate Christ
-
will pretend to know Christ and then teach you about Christ and
-
what cries demands of you a Christ follower, this is the
-
deception that the church has fallen into and the You become
-
confused and weak and anemic and the church goes.
-
I kind of was a. That's a good point.
-
No, it wasn't that stupid and it's not logical.
-
You need to stop. Believing it.
-
What can be known about God is plain to them?
-
Why? Because God has shown it to
-
them. For his invisible attributes,
-
namely his eternal power, and his divine nature.
-
Wow. So he showed him the biggies,
-
his eternal power and his divine nature have been clearly
-
perceived ever since the creation of the world in the
-
things that have been made. What's the evidence for God his
-
creation? I don't believe that.
-
I think we came from nothing. You're suppressing the truth.
-
I still love you and I want you to follow King Jesus but you're
-
suppressing the truth and I'm going to continue to stand on my
-
point. No matter what you say, I'm
-
gonna go to your employer, you go to him, I may get fired and
-
you'll see my king keep providing for me.
-
I will burn your house down, burn it down and you'll see my
-
king is still going to provide for me.
-
This is what it looks like to be persecuted Church.
-
We're not going to be persecute. When they throw us in prison, at
-
some point, in some day, if it gets to that point, And it's not
-
going to be, they're not going to charge us in court with
-
loving Jesus. You need to understand that.
-
That won't be the charge. If I'm in a prison camp.
-
I won't be in the prison camp on charges of loving and Faithfully
-
following King Jesus. It will be on the charges of
-
hate and bigotry and hate speech, that will be the charge.
-
So I wish it was planar and simpler.
-
Okay. I wish it was.
-
I wish it was just like we hate King Jesus.
-
They're not going to say that because somewhere in the Heart
-
of hearts they do fear God, a smidgen enough to not be so bold
-
actually if you stay in the trenches of conversation long
-
enough you they will actually come out and say it.
-
If you hold your ground, you'll say, no.
-
The Bible is the word of God. I don't care about your Bible.
-
Well, it's probably because you don't care about God.
-
I don't believe in God. If you stand your ground long
-
enough, the truth comes out. I've seen it many times in
-
conversations. Well, I hate your and God, you
-
like you've admitted it. We've reached the conclusion of
-
the truth. You didn't suppress the truth
-
right there, that's right. And then they may Double Down On
-
It. And finally, the truth has been
-
exposed. Why?
-
The word of God. Come to the heart.
-
Do we just want an emotional angry reaction?
-
No, we won't repentance. And that's where we keep pouring
-
in the gospel. Hey Christ.
-
Died for your sins. If you will humble yourself
-
before King Jesus, you can be a child in his house.
-
God loves you and he calls you in so we don't respond to anger
-
with anger. So this these are the moments
-
when this is when when you get slapped on One Cheek when you
-
turn the other, when you show them, my love is consistent.
-
My love is faithful. Why?
-
Because it's love that really comes from God.
-
So they are without excuse for, although they knew God, they did
-
not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became
-
futile in their thinking and their foolish Hearts were,
-
darkened claiming to be wise, they became fools.
-
That's all I saw in that documentary.
-
Or enlightened we see more, we know more, but we don't know
-
what a woman is, a woman is whatever.
-
Woman is a woman, is whoever identifies as a woman claiming
-
to be wise. We're so enlightened.
-
Now they became fools and exchanged the glory of the
-
immortal. God for images, resembling
-
mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things, therefore,
-
what did God do? God gave them up in their lusts
-
of their hearts to impurity to the dishonoring of their bodies
-
among themselves? Because they exchanged, they
-
exchanged it, they exchanged the truth of God about God for a lie
-
and they worshipped and served the creature rather than the
-
Creator who is forever blessed. All men for this raisin.
-
What did God do? God gave them up to dishonorable
-
passions for their women, exchanged natural relations for
-
those that are contrary to Nature and Men likewise gave up
-
natural relations with women who were consumed with passion for
-
one another men. Committing Shameless acts with
-
men and receiving in themselves. The due penalty for their error.
-
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge, God, God gave
-
them up. What did God do?
-
God gave them up. Again to a debased mind to do
-
what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner
-
of unrighteousness, with evil with covetousness and Malice.
-
They are full of Envy murder Strife, deceit, maliciousness
-
they are gossips slanderers. Haters of God insolent haughty
-
boastful and this one really struck me.
-
Inventors of evil. We got new ways.
-
We got new things. Homosexuality is a really old
-
sin according to the word of God, but now now we have
-
transgenderism as it's called and and we have surgeries
-
there's a father and even in this documentary, he was
-
arrested, he's out on bail as the time of the filming but he's
-
arrested in Canada. This is real.
-
In the world today he was arrested because he would not
-
use his 13 year old daughter's, preferred pronouns.
-
She her mother was saying that she's a boy now and the father
-
refused to participate and they took her to the hospital in the
-
dads. Like let's get this over with.
-
Let's get the truth and the hospital totally affirmed.
-
This poor young girls, delusions and sided with the mother.
-
And they began hormone therapy to begin to.
-
What are they doing? They're inventing new forms of
-
evil. They're inventing them.
-
And his father goes to jail for it disobedient to parents
-
foolish, faithless, heartless and ruthless though.
-
They know, God's righteous decree that those who practice,
-
such things deserve to die. They not only do them, but they
-
give approval to those who practice them.
-
And now, we would say, of course, they go farther and
-
promote it at the early stage possible.
-
Not just give approval if you choose it, but you should choose
-
it and you should affirm it and approve it church.
-
This is not a shaking our To the world sermon.
-
This is a look in the mirror. Like we prayed before the
-
service. How have we gotten to this
-
place? It's not just the world.
-
It's the church. If we are the salt of the earth
-
and the Earth is rotting. The salt has lost its saltiness.
-
This is all that we can control is our own saltiness.
-
We must preserve. We must bring the flavors of the
-
Kingdom. We must bring hope and life, and
-
light to people. All the commercials, all the ads
-
that you'll be bombarded with all month long, they will not
-
show you the trauma, the darkness, the oppression, the
-
medical malfunctions, the absolute devastation that
-
homosexuality and transgenderism bring to the human body and to
-
the human soul. You only be shown little
-
rainbows. That's all you'll see.
-
You have to believe the word of God in absence of seeing the
-
truth and these people's lives and the in the Brokenness that
-
they're experiencing, see them the way.
-
God does May own female and then love them with the gospel so
-
that they will be transformed. Not man, y'all to come back and
-
be the other gender, okay, that would be good.
-
I mean, don't get me wrong. You want your alcoholic friend?
-
Decide be an alcoholic, right? Because it's destroying his life
-
but that still doesn't save him. You want your drug addict friend
-
to stop doing drugs right? Yeah.
-
But that still doesn't Even so yes we are all about removing
-
Sin from someone's life to preserve their life.
-
But always ultimately so that they would know King Jesus and
-
live in the Kingdom where there is true love joy, peace,
-
patience, kindness goodness faithfulness, gentleness and
-
self-control. So if you don't have faith in
-
God's word, you'll continue to be pressured by culture and to
-
silence all in the Name of Love. But if you don't tell somebody
-
the truth, you actually hate them.
-
And yes it's demonic that they tell you you're hateful when you
-
tell the truth. But that's only because demons
-
do hate the truth, but we're not going to work by Satan's
-
definitions, we're working by gods.
-
So we're preaching for God's truth.
-
Yes. And we're preaching against
-
Satan's lies. Why?
-
Because their lies, their damaging, their empty and
-
eventually they are damning. So, what's some of our best
-
offense? And we're closing.
-
Some of the best offense we have is honoring male and female in
-
your Honoring male and female in your household.
-
If you're a husband and your wife continue to build God's
-
good design for polarity and the male and female, if you're
-
raising Sons or daughters build God's good design for polarity
-
in your children, boys, as boys girls as girls.
-
Don't be bullied away from the stereotypes and don't be
-
terrified either. If your son plays with a doll,
-
this is not the end of the world, but the point is we want
-
to encourage the things that men R4, and the things that women
-
are for. There's some things that they're
-
both for, but there are some things that are distinct May own
-
female, and we rejoice in it, just like we Rejoice at a
-
mountain and a valley. We Rejoice at an ocean and we
-
Rejoice at a desert or like, look at it, the Majesty of
-
creation, look at the Majesty of male and female.
-
It's good, it's very good. It's good to be a man.
-
If you're a man, it's good to be a woman.
-
If you're a woman, it's good to be a boy.
-
If you're a boy it's good to be a girl.
-
If you're a girl it's good and we need not seek anything else.
-
This is God's will for us. This is his plan for us.
-
So let our own household, be the first thing before we go
-
worrying. About whatever else is in our
-
neighbors. I, let's make sure there's no
-
logs in our eyes. We have to continue to
-
prioritize. God's good design for male and
-
female masculine and feminine. Stop being androgynous, stop
-
being same. Be distinct and like God,
-
glorify his name through it all God, we pray for ourselves and
-
we ask that you would continue to show us what it looks like to
-
be distinct male and female lord.
-
Bring more clarity to us on what it is to be a man and what it is
-
to be a woman according to your word, what are the purposes?
-
And how can we live in them? Because it's in our purpose,
-
where will be fully satisfied. It's in our purpose.
-
Where will be fully enjoyed by you and Only blessed walking in
-
your blessings. So we invite you God into salt
-
Church, to continue, to lead us into your perfect design for
-
male and female. You got, we invite.
-
You also to make us a blessing to the world around us.
-
Help us to speak the truth. In love. not to be afraid not to
-
be as harmless as a dove, only not to be as wise as a serpent
-
only, but to be as wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove
-
genuinely caring about people who are perishing I'm
-
prioritizing the messages that should be prioritized.
-
We focus on these messages because these sins are so
-
flagrant. If our culture took a month, to
-
celebrate, any sin in particular than we would wage war against
-
that Sim. If our culture took a month to
-
rejoice in lying, then we would wage war against lying.
-
If our culture took a month to wage war against to celebrate
-
any impurity than as your church, we would have to rise up
-
with salt and light, specifically for that thing.
-
So that's what we do. God, we speak up with Truth and
-
Love. Help us not to be swayed by man
-
and to not fear, man, but to love you and love them and only
-
for you. Lead us out and power.
-
Holy Spirit. We don't just ask for boldness.
-
We ask for more of you, Thank you for building your church and
-
establishing your kingdom forever in Jesus name.
-
Amen? And now the Lord bless you and
-
keep you the Lord, make his face shine down upon you and be
-
gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance
-
upon you and give you great. Peace in Jesus name.
-
Amen.
