  1. Oh my goodness, turn your Bibles to Matthew

    Matthew 21 chapter mention

  2. chapter 21. It's about to go down.

  3. We are coming. We are at the very, very, very

  4. end of Jesus ministry. Of course we're going to spend

  5. the whole rest of Matthew here at the end of Jesus's earthly

  6. ministry. I told you, you're going to

  7. understand why they want to crucify him and you're going to

  8. see even more of that this morning.

  9. It's not like Jesus has been pulling punches for the past few

  10. years. If you'll remember, actually

  11. early in his ministry, he cleansed the temple once.

  12. So Jesus cleanses the temple twice in his ministry.

  13. He the first time John tells us early in his ministry, the Bible

  14. says he fashioned a whip. So he took the time to go make a

  15. whip. So this was premeditated in the

  16. book of John. Jesus doesn't lack self-control.

  17. Jesus did what he was doing on purpose because he wanted to do

  18. it, because he was defending his father's house and the people

  19. who are being exploited in his father's house.

  20. So he fashioned a whip and he's cracking that.

  21. Is he landing? Is he landing it on people?

  22. Or is he just popping the thing in the air for dramatic effect?

  23. Either way, I like it a lot. I'm a big fan.

  24. So then we come now to the end of his earthly ministry.

  25. Jesus comes into Jerusalem. The place is packed.

  26. It's Passover. Remember, we've had the

  27. triumphal entry. He's been moving towards the

  28. cross like a man on a mission. He knows what's coming on

  29. Thursday night. He knows what's coming to him

  30. Friday morning. He knows what's coming to him

  31. Friday in the early afternoon and and he still marches forward

  32. to fulfill his mission perfectly and completely because he loves

  33. you and because he loves me, and because he's coming to save the

  34. world from sin, because he's coming to deliver us from evil,

  35. because he's coming to actually crush the serpent's head.

  36. He will have his heel bruised, so to speak, through the

  37. crucifixion, but he will crush the serpent's head through his

  38. resurrection and then through his multiplication throughout

  39. the earth. So he's had the triumphal entry,

  40. and now we pick up of chapter 21 and verse 12.

  41. And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and

  42. bought in the temple. And he overturned the tables of

  43. the money changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.

  44. He said to them, It is written, My house shall be called a House

  45. of prayer. But you make it to a den of

  46. robbers, and the blind and the lame that came to him in the

  47. temple, and he healed them. But when the chief priests and

  48. the scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the

  49. children crying out in the temple, hosanna to the son of

  50. David, they were indignant. And they said to him, Do you

  51. hear what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, Yes,

  52. have you never read out of the mouth of infants and nursing

  53. babies? You have prepared praise.

  54. And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged

  55. there. Heavenly Father, bring us light

  56. and revelation. I pray that you would give your

  57. church Holy Spirit LED imagination that we really could

  58. picture, understand, and fully receive the weight of what

  59. happened that day. So that we can just love and

  60. respect and honor and worship Jesus to a greater depth because

  61. we know Him more, not just knowing about him, but really

  62. knowing him. And I also pray God, that you

  63. would help us to make the right application to our own hearts,

  64. to our own church, and to our own lives.

  65. That we would more deeply surrender the temple that is

  66. Saul Church, that we would more deeply surrender the temple that

  67. is our own personal heart. That you would come in and have

  68. your way. They would look exactly how you

  69. want it to look. That it would be purified and

  70. then empowered in Jesus name, Amen.

  71. That is the prayer that I've been praying church.

  72. That is the expectation that I've had that we as a church

  73. would be surrendered and that we as individuals would be fully

  74. surrendered so that we could fully qualify to receive the

  75. power that he has that he intends for us.

  76. So we have multiple accounts of what happened here on this day.

  77. Mark tells us that after the triumphal entry, it says that

  78. Jesus went into the temple, but it was already late.

  79. He looked around at everything and then retired to Bethany for

  80. the night. So actually, Sunday, triumphal

  81. entry, bump, a bump. Jerusalem is absolutely packed.

  82. People are everywhere. Millions of people have swarmed

  83. on Jerusalem. There's people camping outside

  84. the city. Bethany's packed.

  85. I mean, it's a time, a beautiful festival.

  86. It's family reunion, people everywhere.

  87. And everybody knows who Jesus is and what Jesus is about because

  88. he's been doing this for three years.

  89. You know, somebody who's been healed by Jesus at this point,

  90. you know, somebody who's heard Jesus preach.

  91. He doesn't just have the 12 and people like, I wonder what

  92. that's about. Thousands, many, many thousands

  93. of people are all about him, all around him.

  94. They come and they go as they live their lives.

  95. But everybody knows about Jesus. He hasn't been quiet.

  96. He hasn't been mysterious. He has been bold.

  97. He's been plain. Remember, he started his

  98. ministry cleansing the temple. He finishes his ministry

  99. cleansing the temple. That's what he wants.

  100. He wants everything fully surrendered to him.

  101. But he comes back now Monday. He comes back Monday, not on

  102. Sunday. He comes on Monday.

  103. And he looks into the temple as he premeditated, as he planned,

  104. and he cleanses the place. He has caused a scene.

  105. I mean, imagine a man doing these things.

  106. Actually, imagine it. He turned over the tables.

  107. How do you think he did it? What do you think it looked

  108. like? Do you think he gently shoved

  109. them? Just went from one to the next,

  110. Right? That's the guy who washed his

  111. feet, right? Because that's all he ever did,

  112. right? That's what we're told.

  113. Jesus washes feet. Come Thursday night.

  114. It means something. It's important.

  115. I'm going to emphasize it and I'm going to pound the pulpit

  116. when I get to it. But he cleansed the temple

  117. twice. He formed a whip and cracked it

  118. over people. He's throwing out money

  119. changers. He stops everything.

  120. He takes total control. Can you imagine if everybody had

  121. their cell phones out filming it?

  122. Look at this angry preacher, hashtag angry preacher.

  123. I just don't think it's appropriate for a man of the

  124. Lord. Myself personally, I just think

  125. it's I just, I just don't see where there could ever, ever be

  126. that the appropriate response there.

  127. Well, you should read your Bible and you should read all of

  128. Jesus, not one verse of Jesus. Don't build your old doctrine of

  129. Jesus off one verse. Well, doesn't it mean something?

  130. Of course it does. It means something in in

  131. conjunction with the whole of Scripture and all of who Christ

  132. reveals he is, what is Jesus? Jesus is the right thing at the

  133. right time. Amen.

  134. Jesus is the wisdom of God. Jesus is always appropriate and

  135. right. So if you're about to get stoned

  136. to death because you were just called in adultery and you're

  137. terrified and repentant and humble, Jesus is going to be

  138. very gentle with you. A bruise read He will not break.

  139. A smoldering Wick, He will not extinguish.

  140. But if you're prideful and you think that you're in charge of

  141. things and you think you're in charge of the faith, that is

  142. actually being a blockade to people really coming to him,

  143. he's going to be very, very, very severe.

  144. God opposes the proud. God gives grace to the humble.

  145. So we're looking at the extremes here when we see Jesus with the

  146. Pharisees. But the caution I give to you is

  147. to not just look to the Pharisees and go those guys,

  148. because that's my temptation. So look at the Pharisees.

  149. Ago, I would have never. Well, maybe so, maybe not.

  150. We'll never know because you weren't there.

  151. But the temptation is to say they're the worst.

  152. Instead of recognizing, has He asked for more surrender from

  153. you? Has he asked for more surrender

  154. from me? I need to look at the Bible.

  155. And if the Bible isn't constantly pointing you back

  156. inside your own heart, then you're looking at the Bible

  157. wrong. You're reading the Bible wrong.

  158. You're reading it like a history lesson exclusively and thinking

  159. that happened, OK, instead of the Holy Spirit applying things

  160. to you and going, hey, yeah, that happened with them.

  161. But what's going on with you? The Bible is living and active.

  162. The Word of God is powerful and it is sharp, and it will divide

  163. between your soul and your spirit to lay you open and go.

  164. I didn't even know I could be divided that way.

  165. And the Lord can say I can perform surgery, I can take out

  166. infection, and I can put in a heart of flesh instead of a

  167. heart of stone. So Jesus is the right thing at

  168. the right time. Jesus has range, as you would

  169. say. He has multiple gears.

  170. He's not just stuck in first gear.

  171. This is all he knows. This is all he does.

  172. Culturally, we're told that Jesus has one gear.

  173. Jesus picks up barnyard animals and he pets them and he washes

  174. people's feet. That's the only gear Jesus has.

  175. So we're told Jesus has multiple gears.

  176. Jesus is the right thing at the right time.

  177. Well, I don't like that Jesus. Well, there's only one Jesus.

  178. There's not your Jesus or Jim Michaels Jesus.

  179. There's just Jesus. And he's the Jesus of Matthew,

  180. Mark, Luke, and John. He's the Jesus of Genesis.

  181. He's the Jesus of Revelation. He's the Jesus of the book.

  182. That's the only Jesus that there is.

  183. There is no other. So what do we know about what's

  184. going on here? We know that the Pharisees have

  185. been the gatekeepers. We know the Pharisees are

  186. jealous of him. Why?

  187. Well, because he's obviously all powerful.

  188. He can do anything he wants to. He's healing people non-stop.

  189. So what do they, what do they now get him?

  190. On they go. Actually, you shouldn't be

  191. healing on the Sabbath. So they're trying to show that

  192. they are more spiritual and more holy than them when they do so,

  193. of course, he just blows them up over and over and over.

  194. He humiliates them. He's been doing so for years.

  195. He knows that He's laying down his life this week.

  196. He's not coming to be the victim to anybody.

  197. He's coming to give generously. Nobody takes Jesus's life from

  198. Jesus. Jesus gives his life.

  199. That's his strength, that's his power, that's his choice.

  200. So the Pharisees, the religious rulers, they have been

  201. exploiting people for many, many years in the temple.

  202. So what's going on now is the week of Passover, your family

  203. would buy a lamb to sacrifice to keep in accordance with what had

  204. been happening all the way since Moses.

  205. Remember the Passover, they were in Egypt and the Lord said, I've

  206. brought the 9 plagues and now the 10th plague is I'm going to

  207. kill the first born son. This is the judgment and the

  208. wrath of God being poured out, He said.

  209. But if you apply the blood of the lamb to your doorpost, the

  210. death Angel will pass over your house.

  211. He won't come into your house and kill your son.

  212. He will Passover. And that death will not visit

  213. your household. So they've been celebrating the

  214. Passover, the wrath of God passing over them.

  215. But still somebody had to pay all those lambs for hundreds of

  216. years. All these lambs have been slain.

  217. All these lambs get killed, all these animals.

  218. Blood has to be shed. There can be no forgiveness of

  219. sins without the shedding of blood.

  220. But a lamb's a little bit more expensive.

  221. What if you're really poor and you don't have any money?

  222. Will the Lord made an opportunity for you?

  223. You could buy the Scripture says here, pigeons or or doves, and

  224. they were much, much less expensive.

  225. But also if you were bringing Roman money in when you're

  226. coming to purchase these things. So maybe you're outside of town

  227. and you're buying your lamb, or maybe you don't have any money.

  228. You're very poor and you come into the temple.

  229. Well, the Pharisees have good news for you.

  230. They have a vending machine set up for you so that you can get

  231. exactly what you need. The problem is it's like the

  232. airport. You know how it is at the

  233. airport. You come in with your water and

  234. you get up to TSA and somehow, you know, 20 ounces of water is

  235. a real threat to national security.

  236. So you have to pour it out. I eat a little bit bitter when

  237. I, when I fly. If you couldn't tell the Lord's

  238. dealing with me on that. I always make a big show of it

  239. when I pour my water out. I say I feel safer already.

  240. And then I just kind of move on from there.

  241. So you have to pour out your water.

  242. And then, of course, as soon as you get through TSA, you can now

  243. purchase a bottle of water, lucky you, for $9 or whatever

  244. it's going to be. You know, I got to not go like

  245. I'm trying to preach the right sermon here.

  246. I'm just not. I'm getting in my flesh just

  247. thinking about it. So this is what's going on here.

  248. Oh, do you need some doves? Do you need this?

  249. Do you need that? Well, we're going to take care

  250. of that for you. But also, you brought Roman coin

  251. in and the temple doesn't accept Roman coin.

  252. So we have money changers who will change your money.

  253. So everybody's being exploited and they're being stolen from.

  254. The rates are not good. It's not gracious.

  255. So Jesus sees the poor being exploited.

  256. He sees the money making scheme, like they're not just doing it

  257. as a convenience. Hey, this is the best way to do

  258. it. We want to help people worship

  259. the Lord, but people are profiting and people are

  260. exploiting their neighbors. So none of this is wholesome.

  261. None of this is good, but it's been done this way all the time.

  262. It's just the way it is. Get over it, man.

  263. It's just the way it is. We've been doing this for a long

  264. time. Jesus is not going to get over

  265. it. He's not OK with it.

  266. So he comes in and he causes a scene.

  267. He's loud, he is violent, and he causes a mess.

  268. He turns over the table of the money changers.

  269. Guess what was on the table of the money changers?

  270. Money. Money was all over the place.

  271. So coin goes flying everywhere. He's causing a scene.

  272. He's making a mess. Who is he?

  273. Well, he's one who has authority.

  274. He's the one in charge of the temple.

  275. He owns the temple. He owns the breath in your

  276. lungs. He owns the ground that you're

  277. standing on. It all belongs to him.

  278. Jerusalem is his city. The whole world is his nation.

  279. Everything belongs to Jesus. So he comes and he acts like he

  280. has authority. That's why nobody stops him.

  281. And they're like, hey, knock it off, calm down.

  282. And everybody trusts him. All the people love him.

  283. It's only the Pharisees and religious leaders who hate him.

  284. The people go, he's awesome. Oh, he's stirring things up.

  285. We thought he was going to like, go after the Romans.

  286. He's kind of like going after the Jewish leaders.

  287. But whatever, I'll stick with him.

  288. I'll stick with him. I'll stick with him till Friday

  289. morning anyway, when it's time to crucify him.

  290. I'm surprised he's going after the Pharisees because those guys

  291. are so spiritual. These guys are so holy because

  292. one time those guys did a good thing.

  293. Did you know that some people can do a good thing and still be

  294. awful? That's crazy, isn't it?

  295. I don't want you to be naive. I don't want you to be ignorant.

  296. Now, I really like that pastor. I really like that preacher.

  297. I really like John Michael. Well, you can like who you like,

  298. but fruit always talks to us over time.

  299. Fruit continually reveals something about somebody's life

  300. over time or the absence thereof.

  301. So Jesus, obviously it says in multiple of the passages and in

  302. Matthew and Mark and in Luke, they all talk about and they

  303. wanted to kill him. Like that was their plan.

  304. They're like, how are we going to kill this guy?

  305. He just disrupted everything this week.

  306. He humiliated us. He's humiliating us in front of

  307. everybody. Everybody in the temple heard

  308. it. That's going to spread.

  309. Jesus went in there. It was crazy.

  310. He was doing this, He was doing that, He was yelling, he was

  311. super angry. He was very mad because his

  312. temple was supposed to be a place of prayer and they turned

  313. it into a den of thieves. He was stopping everybody.

  314. No, you're not going to carry that through here anymore.

  315. This is going to be, there's a, there's a way to act with

  316. reverence. There's a certain way to behave.

  317. There's a time and a place for things.

  318. And the temple is a time and a place for certain things to take

  319. place. Jesus said, we're going to,

  320. we're going to change this. We're going to shift this.

  321. So they hate him for it. They're angry with him and he

  322. humiliates them and then of course, he corrects them again.

  323. As he's being worshipped, the children are rejoicing, shouting

  324. in the temple Hosanna to the Son of David.

  325. The prophecies are being fulfilled.

  326. The Son of David has come to rule over his people and the

  327. children recognize it. The child like the humble,

  328. recognize what's going on and the Pharisees, the prideful,

  329. hated. So that's the big historical

  330. narrative. That's the the swell of what's

  331. going on as we lead into the rest of Holy Week.

  332. But what does this mean for you and I?

  333. Jesus did not just cleanse the temple back then.

  334. He still cleanses His house today in two ways.

  335. He cleanses the church and He cleanses the individual.

  336. Both of those are His temple. Both of those are referred to in

  337. the New Testament as His temple. You are the temple of the Holy

  338. Spirit, you yourself, and also the body of Christ is the temple

  339. of Jesus in His control, under His jurisdiction.

  340. It's no longer a building. His temple is no longer what

  341. stands in Jerusalem or anything else that they would attempt to

  342. rebuild at some point. That will not be His temple.

  343. You are his temple. You will stay his temple.

  344. So what would Jesus cleanse out of his church today?

  345. What do you think If the Lord Jesus were to look at the

  346. American church at large? We'll start there and then we'll

  347. start to zoom in. I think He would want to cleanse

  348. out the Polish. I think he would want to cleanse

  349. pride. I think he would want to cleanse

  350. cowardice. I think he would want to cleanse

  351. consumerism. And it's all a vicious cycle

  352. because the people who go to church in the West, they what

  353. you got for us, preacher? What's this church have for my

  354. family? It's not a terrible question as

  355. long as you don't mean it in the way that you probably mean it.

  356. The church should have the word of God.

  357. It should have the presence of the Lord.

  358. It should have a New Testament family.

  359. Or we're saying we're going to love and follow Jesus.

  360. If you're looking for a lot more than that at Salt, we don't have

  361. much to offer you. We got some exercise bikes in

  362. the back. We got some rubber bands.

  363. Like you haven't walked into the greatest cathedral ever built.

  364. I like beautiful buildings, and I want us to build a beautiful

  365. building one day. I'm not sorry for that.

  366. And yet what do we have to offer you?

  367. Sincerity. That's what I can speak for me.

  368. I have sincerity to offer. I have a pursuit of the Lord to

  369. offer the genuine and sincere. I have a humble fear of God, and

  370. I have a devotion to the word of God.

  371. So if you're in for that, you're in the right place.

  372. If you're looking for a lot more than that, like I don't know

  373. that I've got that to offer you. But as a pastor, it's easy for

  374. pastors to feel the temptation and what came first, the chicken

  375. or the egg, I don't know. It doesn't matter at this point

  376. because either person's repentance can cure it.

  377. So the pastor who wants to please the people versus the

  378. people who want to be pleased and that vicious cycle that

  379. spirals down and all the while the Lord's presence is being

  380. driven out of it. It's a people centered church

  381. instead of a Jesus centered church.

  382. I think Jesus would come to cleanse all those kinds of

  383. things. I think those are some of the

  384. tables he would overturn. Let's not just talk about the

  385. them out there. What table would he sling

  386. inside? Assault church?

  387. I believe it's something connected to hiding.

  388. I believe it's connected to guarding.

  389. I believe it's connected to isolating instead of surrender.

  390. I said that because of what the Lord's been revealing to me.

  391. I'm a pastor who pays attention. I'm a Good Shepherd who's

  392. watching over his walk. Sometimes you probably think I'm

  393. naive to things I'm not. I just don't always put my

  394. finger on everything because I know there's a better Holy

  395. Spirit than me and I trust Him more than me and I trust that as

  396. I pray for you, He can do a lot more work than I can do.

  397. And I'm and I'm also making sure that I'm not being a coward.

  398. I need to speak to so and so. Are they going to receive it?

  399. That's not really my jurisdiction is whether or not

  400. they're going to receive it. Lord, help me walk in wisdom,

  401. not in fear. These are all things I'm

  402. processing as your pastor. These are all things I'm trying

  403. to put together and go, Lord, where?

  404. Where's my flesh getting in the way?

  405. What do you really want? What would obedience look like

  406. for me? Is that boldness led by

  407. conviction from the Holy Spirit, or is that my flesh being sick

  408. and tired of a problem? You see how you've been there.

  409. If you've ever LED people and if you've ever attempted it,

  410. whether it's as a parent or as a boss or anything else, you're

  411. always trying to like, if you're humble before the Lord, you're

  412. like, the issue is clearly the issue.

  413. That's not up for. That's not up for question.

  414. The question is, how should I approach it, Lord?

  415. And that's where we need the wisdom of God.

  416. That's why I pray. Jesus make me like you.

  417. He's the right thing at the right time.

  418. He's got multiple gears to hit and he has range.

  419. And that's what your Michael has to grow in wisdom range, being

  420. the right thing at the right time.

  421. But I know that for us, these things are connected to hiding,

  422. guarding, isolating instead of surrender.

  423. Because specifically also the Lord revealed that last week,

  424. just saying that surrender, that's what we need.

  425. That's where we're at. We need deeper surrender.

  426. We need a deeper yielding, a deeper obedience.

  427. I said there's some of you that the Lord has asked you for

  428. things for weeks. There's a thing.

  429. And he said, hey, can I have that?

  430. And you're like the Lord. The Lord couldn't be asking me

  431. for that. For some of you, he's been

  432. asking for things for months. For some of you, it's been

  433. years. And I've experienced this in my

  434. own life as well, where the Lord's saying, hey, can I have

  435. that? Can I have that?

  436. Can I have that? I surrender all this over here

  437. and I surrender all that over there and he's going, what about

  438. this thing? I go, I surrender this over

  439. here. Lord, look at all that I've

  440. surrendered. He's going, how about this?

  441. I go, Lord, look around like, oh, it's all yours, Jesus, I'm

  442. just going to interrupt you. We worship so I don't have to

  443. listen to you. Just be just be glorified by my

  444. praise and also give me that breakthrough that I've been

  445. standing on and praying for. And Lord, can I have that?

  446. I'm like, oh Lord, I just love you.

  447. Hallelujah, prayer time done. See you later, God, He's gone.

  448. He's patient. He's so kind.

  449. It's ridiculous how patient he is and how kind he is.

  450. It's the goodness of God that has led me to repentance many

  451. times. I know it has for you as well,

  452. but that's what I see in salt. That's what I know what's going

  453. on in salt. There's a deeper surrender that

  454. needs to happen. There needs to be less hiding.

  455. There needs to be no hiding. There's needs to be no guarding.

  456. There needs to be no isolating. There needs to be no lying.

  457. There needs to be truly living in the light as he is in the

  458. light. That's what he's called us to.

  459. But when something is common, when something's prevalent, like

  460. it was in the temple there or like it is in, in, in the

  461. Western church, this is the way we act on.

  462. This is the way we do church folks.

  463. We've been doing church for decades this way.

  464. You put on a Sunday, smile, you know, and that's it.

  465. Like you try and engage with a sermon, you try and engage

  466. during service, but as soon as service is over, you're not like

  467. talking to people about what the Lord was just ministering to you

  468. about. You know, you're talking about

  469. the weak and you're talking about work.

  470. And you know, we're going to keep it shallow and I'm not

  471. going to truly be known or be seen.

  472. Even though that's common, it doesn't make it acceptable to

  473. God. And they thought that because it

  474. was just the way it was, like, why didn't the people create an

  475. uprising? Why didn't the people rise up

  476. against the Jewish leaders and go, this is wicked, this is

  477. evil, this is wrong. You're extorting people, you

  478. know, like who's going to be the prophet who does it in the

  479. airport? I always think maybe I can be

  480. the one who can get our water through the gate like that.

  481. We just need somebody to rise up with conviction.

  482. But like, why do we Alaska that like you just go along together.

  483. The power, the powers, they're just keeping us in place instead

  484. of saying how can I make a difference?

  485. How can I walk in a Holy Spirit boldness.

  486. Well, first of all, in my own temple.

  487. That's how that's where in my own life.

  488. What can I do with me? Lord, I'm going to change the

  489. world. Oh buddy, you can.

  490. First of all, I don't mean to. I'm I'm not a cynic.

  491. You can change the world. Just know you will have to

  492. entirely be changed as a person. I want to change the world.

  493. You can. You can, no problem.

  494. Young men, young women, you want to change the world, You can.

  495. Just know that it's going like your life will be 1 of constant

  496. upheaval in the spirit and that's a good thing.

  497. The Lord will say I want more from you.

  498. I want more from you because you've got to be if you want new

  499. anointing, if you want new blessing, you got to be a new

  500. wineskin and that cost something and that feels like something.

  501. So people mistake something that's common.

  502. They think it makes it acceptable to God.

  503. They think it could even be blessed by God.

  504. The money changers and those selling birds and those, you

  505. know, moving merchandise and selling merchandise.

  506. I don't know what they had. I don't know if they had like I

  507. went to the temple T-shirts or what they had going on, but they

  508. had something there that is very displeasing to the Lord.

  509. And everybody just thought was normal and it was doing, it was

  510. happening under the authority of the priests, but God still hated

  511. what they were doing. That's scary.

  512. So like you, you for so long, you just thought, I thought this

  513. thing was normal. I thought this thing was OK.

  514. I thought this thing was good. I thought this thing was fine.

  515. We're talking about sin and we're talking about things that

  516. aren't sin just because the Lord, we're talking about sin

  517. and we're talking about Isaac, and the Lord just says, can I

  518. have it sin? He, he, he condemns and says it

  519. has to be removed entirely. Isaac, he just says, can I have

  520. him? This could be things in the

  521. church that everyone encourages everyone else in, but God could

  522. still hate it. There could be things in your

  523. own heart that others would say, that's fine, don't worry about

  524. that, But you know, God's been asking you for it.

  525. But what evidence would there be in the church if Jesus had truly

  526. cleansed it? What evidence would there be in

  527. your life if it was fully surrendered to Jesus instead of

  528. partly surrendered to Jesus? There would be his presence.

  529. There would be His power. There would be the fruits of the

  530. Spirit. There would be breakthrough in

  531. prayer. There would be an increase in

  532. love. You know, one thing that's kind

  533. of spooky is I've seen the gifts of the Spirit and operation and

  534. ministries where there were not the fruits of the Spirit, and

  535. there are famous ministries where the gifts of the Spirit

  536. are legitimately in operation. Why would the Lord do that?

  537. Because the Lord loves His people and because the Lord is

  538. always going to honor His Word. So that's why.

  539. That's why. How did the Lord move so

  540. powerfully through that guy, through the decades of the

  541. scandal that was going in, that nobody knew about it?

  542. Because God loves His people, and it wasn't about that guy.

  543. The Lord is blessing His people with the gift that He put in

  544. him. Well, I can't believe you would

  545. do that. Well, when you're God, you can

  546. do it however you want to, but until then, the Lord is going to

  547. bless His people. But the fruits of the Spirit are

  548. a different story altogether. Like I said, the fruits of the

  549. Spirit, you can fake those temporarily, but those can never

  550. be faked long term. Somebody knows who you really

  551. are. If you're close to anybody, if

  552. you're married, somebody knows who you really are.

  553. Somebody knows what you're really like.

  554. Pastor, you saying I'm supposed to just share everything all the

  555. time? No, let me make that quick

  556. disclaimer. I'm not saying tell everybody

  557. everything all the time. That's not the point of this.

  558. But the point is somebody ought to know something real.

  559. Somebody ought to know something really real.

  560. Somebody who is actually going to cost your ego for them to

  561. know it. Not just, hey, you know what?

  562. Let me tell the person who did it cost you anything?

  563. Did it feel like you were cutting off your hand?

  564. Then it probably wasn't a big enough step to actually bring

  565. the freedom that you say you want.

  566. If it didn't feel like a death, then there's probably not coming

  567. a resurrection. That's the principle of

  568. Christianity that you can remember.

  569. If it doesn't feel like you're dying, don't expect to be raised

  570. from the dead because that's the qualification for resurrection.

  571. Everybody wants to be resurrected, but nobody wants to

  572. die. I need a resurrection in this

  573. area of my life. Well, then it fully kill it.

  574. You haven't driven A stake through the heart.

  575. You got the thing on life support.

  576. Well, I'm just waiting on the Lord to resurrect it.

  577. It's not dead yet. Kill it and then see what the

  578. Lord might do. What if he doesn't resurrect it?

  579. Aha. We've arrived at the root of the

  580. issue. Like holding on to the thing.

  581. This is, this is my, this is, this is precious to me.

  582. I know. And the Lord wants to be more

  583. precious and he has more to give because the Lord has growth for

  584. you. Step 1, surrender at step one.

  585. Step 2, breakthrough. Hallelujah, it's happening.

  586. Step three, growth and multiplication.

  587. Now we actually have something worth exporting from our lives.

  588. Now we actually have something worth exporting from our church.

  589. Now we got something actually worth giving.

  590. We're not just in survival mode anymore, we're actually growing.

  591. God has growth for you. That's the point of all this.

  592. To be grafted into the tree was good, but now He wants you to

  593. bear fruit. Remember learning about

  594. grafting? You can wound a tree, and then

  595. you can wound a branch and you can bring it into the tree and

  596. they can join together. Fascinating.

  597. To me, that's just crazy. It seems like magic, but it's

  598. real. And then the the life of this

  599. tree, the SAP, the blood of the tree will flow into this branch,

  600. and then this branch can bear fruit.

  601. Too many Christians are satisfied that they've just been

  602. grafted in and they don't want to bear any fruit.

  603. I'm connected to the tree now, and now life flows into you.

  604. Life flows in they that leads to something We talked about the

  605. difference between I just don't want to go to hell.

  606. Well, who does? I just want to go to heaven.

  607. Yeah, me too. And the Lord says, and there is

  608. a continual growth of sanctification that leads to

  609. multiplication. He wants your desires to mature.

  610. The Christian life should look like one of I want new things.

  611. I'm praying new prayers. If I'm praying the same prayers

  612. that I've always prayed, then I'm not maturing.

  613. He wants your perspective to mature.

  614. He wants your battles to change. As you grow in Christ, your

  615. fight should change. Your battles should change.

  616. I used to fight this, and now I fight this, and now I fight

  617. this, and I'm growing and I'm fighting for others.

  618. The younger I am in Christ, the more immature I am in Christ.

  619. I'm staring at myself. See me?

  620. Go on. I'm doing a stare at myself.

  621. Don't, Don't receive any condemnation.

  622. If you're in Christ, there's no condemnation for you, but you

  623. should have a clear identification.

  624. You should know who you are and where you are.

  625. I know who I am in Christ. I'm talking about your degree of

  626. maturity. You need to know where you are

  627. in Christ, in your maturity, and if you're looking at yourself

  628. and thinking about yourself, most of the time that is still

  629. very much the place of a child or a young adult in the faith.

  630. Think about the household and a family.

  631. The 2 year old thinks about nobody but the two year old.

  632. That's all the 2 year old cares about.

  633. And then you come older. The 10 year old helps with the 2

  634. year old and the 18 year old is bringing in income and helping

  635. the household and the adult is thinking about everybody else

  636. and everything else and providing and caring for others.

  637. Identify yourself. I'm not putting you where you

  638. are. Figure it out.

  639. Where are you? Where is your priority?

  640. What's your focus? I think I'm here.

  641. There's no condemnation for that.

  642. Well, I've been here way too long.

  643. OK, so that calls for repentance.

  644. Still no condemnation, but that calls for repentance.

  645. And I go, God help me to grow. God help me to grow.

  646. Spoiler alert, He's going to lead you into surrender next.

  647. That's what's going to come next.

  648. That's what it looks like at any level.

  649. Surrender, surrender, surrender. Don't fake it.

  650. Don't skip a stage. You can't.

  651. Oh, I'm going to. I'm going to focus on others now

  652. to prove my maturity. That's pride.

  653. You are where you are. I don't condemn you.

  654. The Lord doesn't condemn you. But you should understand where

  655. you are. But if you've been fighting the

  656. same battle with your flesh that you've been fighting forever,

  657. there's a good chance that you need to surrender in a way that

  658. you have not yet surrendered. You have not taken the measure

  659. that would guarantee your victory because you don't

  660. actually want freedom as bad as you would say that you do,

  661. Pastor obvious. That's not that's not edgy,

  662. that's basic truth. If you have not yet taken the

  663. measure that would guarantee your victory, it's probably

  664. because you actually don't want victory as much as you want the

  665. thing. I'm trying to use basic logic

  666. there, not like a not something that we could argue over.

  667. How does Jesus handle this situation?

  668. Does Jesus pull the money changers aside privately?

  669. Because that's what everybody would have said as they were

  670. filming it. Look OK.

  671. And then and then they do the the reaction video.

  672. So they go side by side. Here's my problem with the with

  673. the rabbi who who overturned the temple the other day.

  674. If you got a problem and I can see his point.

  675. OK, I can see his point. Things have gotten out of hand

  676. in the temple. OK, so I can see his point.

  677. They're acting like they admit to truce and appeasement and now

  678. comes their stupidity talking to this 2000 year old Tik Toker

  679. here. And then they come back with,

  680. but he should have handled it differently.

  681. That's always what people say when you correct something that

  682. they didn't want corrected at all.

  683. I deal with that all the time. Joe Michael, look, I'm OK with

  684. what you said, but I don't like the way that you said it.

  685. And I say, dear brother in Christ, please tell me how you

  686. say it. And then they go and I go, so

  687. your opinion means nothing to me and I will lose 0 minutes of

  688. sleep tonight over it because you don't actually care about

  689. the issue. You're not addressing it.

  690. You're not speaking to it. I was ready to humble myself and

  691. learn from you when you were going to go to Michael.

  692. I think you do that wrong. Here's how I've always done it.

  693. I've seen to be very fruitful and Joe Michael can go, wow,

  694. faithful brother who's not a coward and afraid to fight and

  695. also has a wise application. I can learn and grow from that.

  696. But critics will only just go, you're doing it wrong.

  697. And I go, how do you do it? And they go, it's not about me,

  698. It's about you doing it wrong. It's hard to pay attention to

  699. that. It's hard to receive from that.

  700. Does Jesus pull the money changers aside like others would

  701. have told him to and speak to them privately?

  702. Hey, guys. Hey, hey, hey.

  703. Can I get all the money changers?

  704. Yeah. All you.

  705. Just three minutes. It's really been on my heart

  706. lately and I've really been praying about it a whole lot for

  707. a long time. What's your point, Pastor?

  708. My point is that if if the private dealing with your sin

  709. hasn't dealt with your sin, if the private surrender hasn't

  710. yielded to breakthrough in fruit, you're probably playing

  711. it too safe and you need to stop.

  712. There's something that you need to open up.

  713. There's something that needs to be exposed that feels like

  714. death. Good.

  715. Now we know we're getting close. Now we know we're actually going

  716. to drive some nails into something.

  717. The ego, the ego is going to have to get on the cross once

  718. again, man, it's so easy to preach and it's so easy to Amen.

  719. Whenever I'm like, you got to pick up your cross and follow

  720. him, Amen. Until we make it look like

  721. something, right? You got to love your wife until

  722. we get real, Amen. I love my wife.

  723. And then we get real specific and go, that's a high bar.

  724. You got to submit to your husband.

  725. Actually, you don't get many amens on that one, ironically.

  726. And then especially when you start to spell it out, then it's

  727. like, how dare you read the Bible out loud to me?

  728. And then also don't you dare me. I agree.

  729. I just don't agree with your application.

  730. It's easy to keep it vague though.

  731. You got to take up your cross and follow Jesus.

  732. Amen, Pastor. He, my pastor preaches that word

  733. and here is what it will look like.

  734. Specifically, I disagree with his application there.

  735. How convenient. How convenient for you and how

  736. unfortunate for you you still think somebody's taking

  737. something good from you instead of the Lord blessing you with

  738. something better. He doesn't take the money

  739. changers aside privately. Guys guys, just something for

  740. you to think about. Would y'all please pray about

  741. this and consider it? He doesn't discreetly ask to

  742. speak with those selling pigeons.

  743. He doesn't approach the priests to share his concerns.

  744. He throws tables, he flips chairs, he cracks a whip in the

  745. beginning of the ministry, in front of the biggest crowd

  746. possible. If you're trying to manage your

  747. sins in private, it's not going to kill your sins.

  748. Then if it is, congratulations, that's fine.

  749. But if it's not, then take them public.

  750. Take them to someone that it would hurt to tell so that your

  751. ego can be fully killed and crushed so that you can be

  752. accountable. Why isn't there any power in the

  753. church? Because people are concealing

  754. their sin, duh. Because people aren't hungry.

  755. People conceal their sin, pastor.

  756. Obvious kind of stuff. But here's the good news.

  757. Jesus doesn't flip tables to just make a mess.

  758. He clears space for the Kingdom to come.

  759. Keep looking, it gets better. Verse 13, he said to them, it is

  760. written, my house shall be called a House of prayer.

  761. God make us a House of prayer. Make me a House of prayer, but

  762. you make it a den of robbers. So he's cleansed, He's created

  763. this scene. I don't know how long we're

  764. talking, 5 minutes of upheaval, shouting, preaching, yelling,

  765. and everybody's going. He's talking to them that way.

  766. I thought those were supposed to be our heroes.

  767. Verse 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple,

  768. and he healed them again. I'm not sick of seeing Jesus

  769. healing people. He's done it over and over and

  770. over. Jesus heals people.

  771. What happens when things get cleansed right away?

  772. Power comes in. The humble get helped.

  773. The blind and the lame come in. Jesus, will you help us?

  774. Exactly. Now the humble can be served.

  775. What do you do with the prideful rebuke and humiliation?

  776. That's what they got. He waited long enough for them,

  777. but then the blind and the lame came to him in the temple and he

  778. healed them. Look what God can do with a

  779. clean house. Imagine God can.

  780. Imagine what God can do with a clean church.

  781. Imagine what God can do with you and me.

  782. When we're cleaned out and we go, I surrender it.

  783. Seriously. And really?

  784. And I'm telling my brother about it, and I'm telling my sister

  785. about it. I'm telling my spouse about it.

  786. The giant thing that's been there for the past four decades,

  787. the giant thing that's been there for the past two years,

  788. the small thing that's always just kind of been just just

  789. always there, just kind of like, just just this little annoying

  790. hangnail in your life. And the Lord was always going,

  791. you could be free of that. You could be free, like, yeah,

  792. but I like this part. And then finally, just go, you

  793. know what? I'm confessing it so that I can

  794. be free. This is what the Lord is doing.

  795. This is what the Lord wants to do for us in this season to

  796. bring real freedom with a clean house.

  797. He brings healing. When there's a clean house,

  798. there's power and there's grace and there's breakthrough and

  799. there's blessing and there's glory.

  800. Look at Jesus with the lowly and the poor in spirit.

  801. He will not press you down farther when you have made

  802. yourself low. There will not be humiliation

  803. for you, your brother, your sister, she will not humiliate

  804. you. When they when you confess, they

  805. won't say, how could you? They'll say, Oh my goodness,

  806. let's take it to the Lord. They'll weep with those who

  807. weep. They'll mourn with those who

  808. mourn. They're not going to put your

  809. business out to the world. And if they do, you're not going

  810. to care because you've actually come to that place of humility

  811. where you go, people think I'm bad, I'm worse than they'll ever

  812. know. And Jesus is actually the hero,

  813. not me. What a freedom do not have to

  814. keep up a facade. What a relief for people to go.

  815. You're this, you go. Yeah.

  816. And actually even more like our boys were little.

  817. It was Elijah Fain. He was a little guy.

  818. I was. I got up one Saturday morning

  819. and I go, look, you know, I pop in his room and he's not in his

  820. bed. He's not in his room.

  821. And I go look around our house, which didn't take very long.

  822. And I'm like, where's Bubba? And.

  823. I go back in his room and I like walk in.

  824. I'm like, I peek under his bed and he's right there laying

  825. under his bed with a little pack of nerds.

  826. And as soon as I see him, he goes, I'm eating these like just

  827. full of shame, full of kind of he's like eating his little

  828. purple nerds under his bed and he he's his daddy walking around

  829. his house looking for him. As soon as I find him, I'm

  830. eating these like freedom. Oh, I'm ashamed and I'm

  831. delivered and I'm like, and of course, you know, as a dad, you

  832. got like, you know, this is like a hilarious parent story and you

  833. have to act like, son, are you supposed to be, you know, no,

  834. Sir. All right, you know, I was

  835. gracious, you know, he confessed and and we move forward.

  836. But I could relate. I felt compassion for him

  837. because I could relate. I didn't feel, you know, you're

  838. not supposed to have Canada. I didn't feel that.

  839. I felt like, buddy, I know that feeling.

  840. I know that one, the shame, the condemnation, the way, the way,

  841. the way, the way, the way, the way, the way the secret.

  842. And then finally, so I mean these Lord goes give me those

  843. throwing those in the trash. Let me make you a meal.

  844. Let me make you breakfast. Let me make you bacon and eggs

  845. and orange juice and hash Browns and it'll be hot and good and

  846. no, it won't be grape flavored nerds, but it'll be good for

  847. you. It'll be good for your soul.

  848. It'll bless you. That's what the Lord does with

  849. cleansing. That's what the Lord does with

  850. restoration. He goes if you'll humble

  851. yourself and if you'll confess and it, by the way, it's always

  852. best to confess before the exposure happens.

  853. Or if you saw on social media this week, the CEO and his

  854. mistress is this is, you know, the, if you're not familiar,

  855. there's at concerts, they're going around, they're showing

  856. loving couples. Oh, look at this cute couple.

  857. Look at this cute couple. And they put them up on the big

  858. screen. They go to a couple, a man's

  859. holding a woman. She covers her face, turns

  860. around and he drops to the floor to avoid the camera.

  861. And everybody goes, that was awkward.

  862. And the guy hosting the concert says they're either having an

  863. affair or they're just very, very, very shy.

  864. Turns out it was the obvious scenario.

  865. What a devastation. What a humiliation for both of

  866. them, for their spouses, for their children.

  867. I mean, like, that's kind of the extreme example, right?

  868. To be exposed in that way. But God opposes the proud.

  869. He'll give grace to the humble. And if you'll humble yourself,

  870. the Lord doesn't want to expose you on a Jumbotron.

  871. The Lord doesn't want you turned into a meme on the Internet.

  872. The Lord doesn't want you mocked.

  873. He doesn't want you shamed. He wants you restored.

  874. Don't get found out. Just give it up.

  875. Give it up to the Lord. Give it up and trust in His

  876. grace. Well, I'm afraid that people,

  877. you know, people aren't going to get everything right.

  878. I'll make you that promise too. But also, the Lord is keeping

  879. the books and the Lord wants to bless.

  880. The Lord wants to bring refreshment when he has a clean

  881. dwelling place. He is unhindered by anything.

  882. The rebuke in the discipline of Jesus is not rejection.

  883. It's invitation for healing and it's invitation for fellowship.

  884. There is a place, there is a time for upheaval, and it comes

  885. to the hungry person's life. So if you're praying for power

  886. and if you're praying for breakthrough, it must come to a

  887. qualified vessel. If you want fresh wine, you'll

  888. have to be a fresh wineskin. But that process will hurt.

  889. In the in the book series The Lion, the Witch and the

  890. Wardrobe, there's a character, he steals some gold.

  891. It's a fictional children's story.

  892. It's allegorical about Christ and the church and the world and

  893. the war that we're in. He's the character's name is

  894. Eustace. He steals some gold and it has a

  895. curse on it and it turns him into a dragon.

  896. So he becomes sad. He's got this bracelet on.

  897. It's creating excruciating pain because he's too big for the

  898. bracelet now. And he's he's this hideous

  899. dragon and he knows he's not like his friends anymore.

  900. He's different, He's separated from fellowship with them.

  901. So he will claw at the scales and he'll RIP some of the scales

  902. off, but there's just so much more under there.

  903. And he'll claw at the scales and RIP some scales off, but there's

  904. just so much more under there. Aslan is the lion, he represents

  905. Jesus. And Aslan says it can come off,

  906. but I'm going to have to take it off of you.

  907. And it was scared to have Aslan take it off of him because the

  908. measure that Eustace kept using was just enough, but he didn't.

  909. He wouldn't make it hurt. Eustace would never do it to the

  910. point where it would hurt. He would go, I can't go any

  911. farther, I can't go any deeper. And as Lance said, I can, I can

  912. heal you. And Eustace goes OK.

  913. And he surrendered. And he said as he sank his claws

  914. into me, it felt like they went all the way down to my heart.

  915. And he said the pain was unlike anything I'd ever felt in my

  916. entire life, and the only way I could bear it was the sheer

  917. pleasure of having the stuff peel off.

  918. I don't want that kind of pain. But that's where that kind of

  919. freedom is. That's that's how we get a new

  920. wineskin. And now, now the breakthrough,

  921. the blessing and the growth. I tried doing it.

  922. Yeah, but you didn't cut your hand off because you weren't

  923. willing to go that far. I tried.

  924. I tried. I tried.

  925. I tried what a Yoda say. There is no try.

  926. There is only do. And many of us are.

  927. I'm trying. I'm trying.

  928. Well, good news is, you don't have to try anymore.

  929. If you'll surrender to the king, he'll do all the work because

  930. he's the only one who can. Anyway, surrender is the only

  931. thing he asks of you. Hebrews 12.

  932. I'm going to read to you from verse 7.

  933. It is for discipline that you have to endure.

  934. I'm sorry, I'm reading to you from verse 5.

  935. Have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you

  936. as sons? My son, do not regard lightly

  937. the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when you are reproved

  938. by him. For the Lord disciplines the one

  939. He loves, and he chastises every son whom he receives.

  940. It is for discipline that you have to endure.

  941. God is treating you as sons, for what son is there whom His

  942. Father does not discipline? If you're left without

  943. discipline, and which all have participated, then you are

  944. illegitimate children and you're not sons.

  945. Besides this, we have earthly fathers who disciplined us, and

  946. we respected them for it. Shall we not much more be a sub?

  947. Be subject to the Father of spirits, and we live.

  948. For they disciplined us for a short time, as it seemed best to

  949. them, but He disciplines us for our good, that we may share in

  950. His Holiness. For the moment all discipline

  951. seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields

  952. the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have

  953. been trained by it. Therefore lift your drooping

  954. hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths

  955. for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of

  956. joint, but rather be healed. Strive for peace with everyone

  957. and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

  958. See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God, that no

  959. root of bitterness springs up and causes trouble, and by it

  960. many be defiled, that no one is sexually immoral or unholy, like

  961. Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal.

  962. For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the

  963. blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent,

  964. though he sought it with tears. Humble, humbling words, warning

  965. words, faithful words. God is giving us good news, not

  966. bad news. Church, how is it good news?

  967. Because you can be lukewarm, you can be self deceived, you can be

  968. stiff necked and still deeply loved by Jesus.

  969. Just like we looked last week, the church in Laodicea and we're

  970. closing. We're going to sing a song as we

  971. do. Still loved.

  972. You're still loved. You're still loved.

  973. Cleansing of Jesus is not rejection, it is reunion.

  974. But not everyone is going to celebrate a cleanse, worship

  975. filled life. Some are going to criticize it

  976. like the Pharisees did. The prideful think that the

  977. humble aren't worshipping correctly.

  978. I've told you this many times before, never listen to a

  979. backslider. They're the worst.

  980. They're the worst. Listen to the godless, Listen to

  981. the faithless, but the backslider is turned from the

  982. Lord and now wants to pull you away.

  983. They're the worst. The worst I've ever seen are the

  984. former pastors. Absolute wolves.

  985. They think they've been there and got the T-shirt.

  986. They think they know something. Snakes.

  987. The Pharisees are those kinds of snakes.

  988. But the humble, childlike Christians will always praise

  989. God like the children did in the temple, because it has been

  990. divinely prepared that they should do so.

  991. Childlike Christians will always have opponents.

  992. A prideful look at childlike faith, not with wonder and

  993. humility, but they look at it with criticism and accusations.

  994. They tell you things like faith's not that simple.

  995. I'm telling you it is that simple.

  996. It is as simple as surrender. It is as simple as death and as

  997. life. The pure and simple worship from

  998. the humble is a confrontation to the enemies of God, and it's a

  999. confrontation to the prideful in the church.

1000. And that's why we even build theologies and we build systems

1001. and ideas and ways of teaching to keep people from being more

  1002. humble. Why?

1003. Because I'm not that humble. So when I see humility in you,

1004. it exposes me. And I go, oh, brother, brother,

  1005. brother, you're good. You're good.

1006. No, no, no, no. And I want to provide a false

1007. comfort for you. God help me if I ever do that to

1008. you. God help you if you ever do that

1009. to somebody else. And He will if we repent.

1010. If you sense the Lord wants to flip your tables, it's not

  1011. because He's rejecting you. It's what.

1012. It's because He wants to fill you with more of himself.

1013. He wants to throw things out so he can heal the blind, so he can

1014. heal the lame, so he can deliver and so he can bless.

1015. So here's the question. What would Jesus change if He

1016. had full access to your heart and your life?

1017. What has He been asking to take out of your temple?

1018. Don't plan your defense anymore. Don't bolt your tables to the

1019. floor so that he can't turn them over.

1020. Don't get better at hiding. We're going to sing a song and

1021. then I'm going to dismiss you. This is called re surrender, and

1022. that's our prayer. Would you stand and you can

1023. pray? You can go to the altar, you can

1024. kneel, you can go wherever you want.

1025. Just pray. Before we turn to our lives upon

1026. the old, the things we did at first, You're cleaning out the

1027. temple. You're cleaning out the dirt.

1028. We are your territory, Lord. We are your church.

1029. We are your people, you are God. We are.

1030. The temple makes us holy like you are.

1031. And you see a holy nation, the flock

1032. to come to crave the chosen generation.

1033. People go to pray. So I will strive to please you.

1034. We're only here to get seen for everyone.

1035. We buy the ship. It's early.

1036. We are the people in the Bible. We.

1037. Your people, with your presence, make us a place where you

1038. delight to the world. May we Lord has correction.

1039. Oh Lord, I shepherd, if you are seems well, your love has worn

1040. as please stay new. Your life is perfect and your

1041. job is true. As we run to you will restore

1042. what we run into you. You are restoring as we.

1043. We are your temple. Make us home like you are.

1044. We are your children. Set us a heart.

  1045. The. We're coming and when I'm

1046. walking we're running. God, we need resurrender.

1047. So we resurrender. You're calling.

  1048. We're coming. And I walking, We're running

1049. God, we need resurrender, so we resurrender.

  1050. You're calling by coming. I'm walking.

1051. I'm running like we need. We surrender, so we resurrender.

1052. We are hauling. We're coming.

1053. We're not walking. We're running like we need.

1054. We surrender. So we resurrender.

  1055. I'm calling, not walking, we're running.

1056. God, we need, we surrender, so we resurrender.

  1057. You're calling. We're coming.

  1058. We're not walking, We're running.

1059. God we need. We surrender, so we resurrender.

1060. To begin with your God, we are your people.

1061. You are a God. We are your temple.

1062. Leave us all be like you are. We are your children.

1063. We set our hearts and we're glory.

1064. Make us holy light here and we're coming.

  1065. We're not walking, we're running.

1066. God we need re surrender. So we resurrendered.

  1067. You're coming. I come in and I walk and I run

  1068. in. God we resurrendered.

1069. We resurrendered. We love you.

1070. God, we love you. God we trust you.

1071. God, we need you. Lord, we know Your Word is

1072. accomplished what you sent it to, and we know it's going to

1073. continue to work in US. God, I prayed you would protect

1074. the seeds of the Word and that the enemy wouldn't steal them

1075. away. I pray that they wouldn't be

1076. choked out by thorns. I pray that our soil wouldn't be

1077. Stony. I pray you would make us good

1078. soil now, that we would bear fruit and that we will multiply

1079. that. I pray that the promise of

1080. freedom and pleasures forevermore would so far

1081. outweigh the fear of pain. I pray that our hunger and our

1082. our eagerness for breakthrough and deliverance would be bigger

1083. than our egos. Jesus, we thank you for your

1084. perfect example of. Humility and for your love.

1085. Heal the blind. Heal the.

1086. Lame and strengthen us for your work.

1087. Send us out with a real testimony, with something fresh.

1088. Where you get all the glory. In Jesus name, Jesus name now

1089. the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face Shinedown

1090. upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance

1091. upon you and give you great peace in Jesus name.

  1092. Amen. Amen.
