Believe and Be Empowered: Preaching That Unlocks God’s Dunamis

So praise the Lord, praise the Lord.

Turn in your Bible to the book of Mark.

And we're going to go with 12 and 24 to start with.

We're going to start there. Our subject tonight is by the help of the Lord. is the power of God.

Everybody's looking for the power of God.

Everybody's looking for the power. We want the power. We want the power of God.

But if you want the power of God, you've got to know what it is and where it is. Amen?

And I believe I want 12. Let me start there. Okay, let's go to verse 18,

chapter 12, and we'll start at verse 18.

And there came unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection,

and they asked him, saying.

Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind

him, and have no children, that his brother should take his wife and raise up unto his brother.

Now there were seven brethren, and the first took a wife, and dying left no

seed, and the second took her and died, neither left he any seed, and the third likewise.

And seven had her and left no seed, last of all the woman died also.

And they said, In the resurrection, therefore, when they shall rise,

whose wife shall be of them?

For the seven had her to wife.

And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err,

because you know not the scriptures,

neither the power of God?

For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in

marriage, but are as the angels which are in heaven.

And as touching the dead that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses

how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham and the

God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?

He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living.

Therefore, ye therefore do greatly error.

Amen. And I want to talk about the power of God tonight. Let's pray.

Jesus, one more time, we ask you to help us with your word, God.

We can't make it without you. Don't want to help us with this tonight. We just love you.

Thank you for your blessings tonight. Amen. Amen. You may be seated.

The Sadducees didn't believe in the resurrection. They weren't really,

they thought that they knew, they thought that they knew more than they did.

And they didn't believe in spirit. They didn't believe in life after death.

And so they were trying to trick Jesus. How many knows you can't trick Jesus?

Might as well forget that. You can't hide nothing from him either.

You might as well forget that. Amen. All things will be done.

Things that are hid, people think sometimes are hid. He said,

they'll be brought out into the open. So be sure your sins will find you out, somebody said.

Amen. But anyway, so they came to Jesus, and they thought they had a point.

Well, now, you know, Lord, you said for brethren to raise up children under

their brothers if their brothers died and didn't have any children.

And this woman had seven husbands, and then they all died, and they didn't have any kids.

And then she finally died. And they said, all right, now, if you believe there's

a resurrection, and since there's a resurrection, whose wife is she going to be in the resurrection?

And Jesus said, well, he said, you do greatly error because you don't know the scriptures.

You know, it's a great thing. You know, it's good to know the scriptures.

People spend a lot of time reading a lot of things and doing a lot of things.

But it's good to know what the scripture says for yourself. Don't trust me necessarily.

I mean, do trust me because I'm going to try to tell you right.

But what I'm trying to say is don't trust just a man.

Look for yourself. Amen. man, you can know the power of God and you can know

the scriptures for yourself.

You can have the answers. God can give you the answer just as well as he can me. Amen.

I said, God can give you the answer just as well as he does me.

But he said, you guys don't know the scriptures and you don't know the power of God.

You don't realize you're trying to talk your way out of the resurrection here,

trying to prove a point that there's nothing greater than this life.

But he said, you're making a mistake because you don't know about the power of God.

In other words, the power of God can reach beyond the veil of death. Amen.

Praise the Lord. The power of God is real and God has power to do whatever he

wants to do. Praise the Lord.

Not a thing he can't do altogether.

And then he goes on to let him know that God's not a God of the dead.

He said, he's the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and he's not a God of the

dead, but he's a God of the living. Let me throw this in.

There is a life after this one, folks. I believe it. I believe it.

Daniel was talking to me the other day. He said, I'm starting to come around

on this afterlife thing. And I said, really?

He said, yeah. He said he was listening to this podcast and this real smart

guy, I forget what his specialty was, but he was talking about consciousness

and thinking, you know, and human, the brain and all this stuff.

And he was, you know, It was a little bit over my head, but it made a believer out of Daniel anyway.

He said that I can't remember exactly all of what he said, but he was talking

about how the fact that we can

not only can we see something and look at something, but we have feelings.

You know, you know, they say that your brain is in your body.

Once your brain and your body dies, that once your body dies,

your brain dies, that means you die.

But this man was saying there's something that goes beyond just our brain and

our mind just by what we can see and think about.

There are feelings that, you know, there's tangible things that you can't.

It's like these people that try to say that there's this is only life there is.

They can't you know, you can explain a lot, but you can't explain the fact that a guy loves somebody.

When a man loves a woman, can't keep his mind on nothing else, the songwriter said.

Sleep out in the cold, sleep out beside the windows, won't they,

Sister Young? Praise the Lord. She had a guy who fell in love with her,

and he used to sleep outside her window.

Brother Bob had to run him off all the time. But when a man loves a woman,

can't keep his mind on nothing else.

Sleep out in the cold. All of his friends will tell him, you're crazy,

man, but he can't help it.

When a man loves a woman, it's something that goes beyond. and you can't explain it.

I want to tell you something. There's things we can't explain.

There's things we don't know about, and there's things we can't see,

praise the Lord, or real, praise the Lord.

Amen. Afterlife, life, spirits, angels, all those things. I'm a believer.

The Sadducees didn't believe that.

And I did a little reading about the Sadducees, and they were kind of a group.

They were kind of like lawyers and kind of upper crust, and it kind of crimped

their style to believe certain things.

You know, it crimps some people's style to believe certain things.

You know, if you believe in God and you believe that there's a judgment and

you believe there's hell, that means you are going to be accountable.

So what they do, they just say, well, we don't believe there is a God,

so we don't have to worry about it.

But I'm going to tell you something, whether anybody believes there is or not,

there is, praise the Lord.

Because the Bible says a fool has said in his heart, there is no God.

That's what it says. But Jesus said, so it's interesting. He said,

you're looking past God's power.

You're looking past something that is greater than you are and something that

is greater than just what humanity can think about. Let's look.

I'd like to go then to Acts 8. Let's go there.

This is Bible study night. Acts 8.

And if there's anything that people can be tricked about or led astray about,

it's about the power of God.

Where is it? Who is it? Well, how can I have it?

Okay, let's look at Acts. Let's see. Let's go to 8 and let's see.

It is 8 and I should have said that start with 10. 8, 10.

This is good. Good stuff here.

8 and 10. Well, we better back up.

Okay. Verse 5. Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them.

And the people with one accord gave heed unto these things, which Philip spake,

hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of the many that were

possessed with them, and many were taken with palsies.

They were lame, where they were healed, and there was great joy in this city.

But there was a certain man called Simon, which before time in the same city

used sorcery and bewitched the people of Samaria,

giving out that himself was a great one, and to whom they all gave heed from

the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

So here, you know, there's a lot of people going around claiming a lot of things in the name of God.

And let me say this. I don't care if the statue is crying blood.

That don't mean it's God.

Amen. I don't care if somebody calls fire, if somebody walked right out here

in this parking lot and called down lightning out of heaven.

That's not going to convince me it's God.

First of all, I'm going to find the power of God revealed in the word of God.

I'm going to find God in his word.

And he's not going to contradict his word by some so-called power or sorcery.

You know, people use tricks.

There was a video going around. Oh, it's been a year or two ago.

And let me just show that you can't believe everything you see on the Internet.

You can't believe everything. There was a video, and it was supposedly this

woman had her arm was like this.

And there was a video and this, they made this video and they showed this guy praying for her.

And somehow they said she stretched her arm out, you know, and come to find

out they debunked it because now let me say, just because somebody done bumped

it doesn't mean it's not real either.

You see, we're living in a crazy world. They're calling evil, good and good evil.

You know what I mean? And something could be just as real and people get on

the television, in the idiot box, and they'll decry against it.

They'll come against it and come against it.

But on the other hand, there's things that people proclaim as true and proclaim

as true that are no more true than the man on the moon.

Of course, you can't say that anymore because they went to the moon, didn't they? Did they?

See, I'm kind of a skeptic. I don't believe everything everybody tells me.

Now, honestly, I do think they probably did go. They probably did go to the

moon, but I wasn't there.

I didn't see the guy walking on the moon. Did you see him? No.

Now you say you saw it on the TV.

Did you, you saw a picture of a guy walking supposedly on the moon.

Did you see a guy on the moon? Was you on the moon watching him?

I got you all stirred up now, but my point is, my point is you can't,

somebody said, don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.

In today's world, you can't even believe what you see. You can't even believe

half of what you see, because they can put people on a computer that look just

as real as me and you, and they're just, what do they call it?

Artificial intelligence.

Let me say, there's a lot of artificial intelligence coming up,

excuse me, and there's a lot of artificial gods bringing up.

But I don't want anything artificial from God. If I want something, I want the power of God.

I want the real thing. I want that which comes from God.

Amen. I want that which comes from above. I want the real thing.

I said, I want the real thing. Praise the Lord. And the real thing will lead

you in God. Well, let me get ahead of myself.

But they thought this man, he bewitched them,

and he used sorcery, and he bewitched the people, and he was promoting himself

as some great one, and everybody thought that he was the great power of God.

First of all, if somebody's promoting theirself and really pushing theirself

and talking about how great they are, that causes me pause right there.

Jesus Christ didn't do that, and he was the power of God. Amen.

He was God manifest in the flesh. He was the power of God revealed to the world. Praise the Lord.

But he didn't come around telling everybody how great he was.

You got to be careful people talking about tooting their own horn all the time. Somebody say amen.

Amen. You can't, somebody tooting their own horn all the time.

You know, usually if a guy's going walking around talking about how much money

he's got, he ain't got that much.

It's a guy that ain't telling you how much he's got. That's the guy that's got all the money.

You don't know how much. He ain't never talking about it. He don't never say

nothing about it. He don't tell nobody about it. He don't talk about it.

He still uses White Castle coupons. Nobody knows how much money the guy's got.

Ooh, felt a root give on the White Castle, praise the Lord. But that's the way it is.

The guy's got the money. He don't have to tell everybody. He don't have to wear

a bunch of gold and a bunch of bling bling showing everybody what he's got. He just got it.

And he walks in the assurance that he's got it. You know, a lot of times people

act, they're acting, they're acting out, acting like they've got it because

they're insecure and they don't really have it.

So they're trying to make everybody and make themselves think that they have it.

There's people trying to act like they got the power of God.

But I want to tell you what, unless you got the Holy Ghost, you don't have the power of God.

You need the Holy Ghost to have the power of God.

Amen. I'm getting ahead of myself. But Jesus said, ye shall receive power after

that the Holy Ghost has come upon you. Praise the Lord.

And you shall have power to be witnesses. Okay, so this guy.

So Jesus said you can err about the power of God.

You can be deceived about the power of God.

You know, I just read where our

new pope, you know, the one that's from America, he declared a miracle.

I'm trying to remember what. My brain don't work as good as it used to.

Not that it ever worked that good. But it was something, somebody,

there was a miracle, supposedly, and he sanctioned it.

You know, let me say, if there's going to be a real miracle, I want a real miracle.

I don't want to talk about it. I don't want a phony something.

You know, that's why, you know, I believe in signs, miracles,

and wonders, and all that.

I believe God can do anything. And I believe, but I'll tell you what,

I don't want any phony stuff.

I don't want a fake video. I don't want nothing phony. I don't want anything built up.

I don't want somebody coming in presenting themselves as something great.

I want somebody that's operating in the Holy Ghost, somebody that's living for

God. And, you know, they don't have to tell you how much power they got.

Just like my son Daniel, I was talking to him.

We was at Mark Conference, and he went with me. He said, I'm going to go with

you. So I wasn't even going to go because I forgot all about it.

We was working around here, and I forgot all about Mark Conference.

And let me say this coming year, when we get this stuff all done,

we're going to start doing some stuff and we're going to start promoting,

going to some special services and some of this stuff.

Somebody say, man, hey, man, we're going to get out there and be alive here. Praise the Lord.

Not just stuck over here in the corner. But anyway, so me and Daniel,

we're marking and there's this lady and she's praying and praying and and and

people are coming up, laying hands on her and she's praying,

you know, and they're praying.

And she really didn't break through like she wanted to.

And there's a friend of ours. Her name is Darla. Her last name is,

anyway, her name's Darla.

And she comes walking up the aisle.

And when Darla laid her hands on her, that lady just fell out on the floor.

And my son Daniel, he told me, he didn't tell me that night,

but he told me last night. He told me, he said, that just brought tears to his eyes.

You know, he just saw he just saw that lady get a touch.

Somebody laid their hands on her that, you know, I'm going to tell you something. Let me say this.

Another thing you everybody shouldn't. If you ain't living right,

don't go around laying your hands on people.

Amen. Matter of fact, I'll slow down a little bit to get to you get,

you know, living right and doing right.

But, you know, but anyway, he was impressed.

And it wasn't something, it wasn't a big eye. It wasn't a big show.

It was not. She just laid her hands on her. And when she did something connected

and the power of God flow.

That's what I want to have. I want to have the power of God. Don't you?

I want to be able. And let me say this. As Jesus said, the believers,

that's you, those that are filled with the Holy Ghost, you shall lay hands on

the sick and they shall recover.

Amen. It's imperative to understand that God gives you power. Praise the Lord. Amen.

All right. I got to hurry up here. Okay. So you can be deceived about the power of God.

You can err about the power of God.

And let's go to 1 Corinthians 1.18. Well, yeah, let's go there first.

1 Corinthians 1.18.

Well, yeah, that'll work. 1 Corinthians 1. Let's go there.

I'm starting to enjoy this tonight,

so you might be here for a while and praise the Lord. I'm kidding.

Hallelujah. Amen. All right.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness.

But unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing

the understanding of the prudent.

Where is the wise? Where is described?

Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world.

For after that, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God.

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom.

But we preach Christ crucified unto the Jews a stumbling block,

and unto the Greeks foolishness.

But unto them which are called, both Jew and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

You find the power of God through Jesus Christ, through the preaching of Jesus Christ.

The power of God is unleashed through the foolishness of preaching through someone

who is preaching Christ.

Not foolish preaching, but the foolishness of preaching.

You know, some people think it's just foolish for somebody just to stand up there and talk,

and they think well that's crazy that what's going ain't nothing happening there

but i want to tell you when you do it god's way and you do it the way the lord

has ordained it to be you can unleash and you are unleashing the real power

of god amen into the world,

you are unleashing the power of god into the world.

Amen. Now let's go back to, and we'll probably be our last scripture maybe.

Let's go to Romans 1, 16. Amen.

Romans 1, and go back to Romans, first chapter there. Okay.

Let's see where we want to start. Oh, let's go to verse 14. I always say that,

but I am a debtor both to the Greeks and to the barbarians, both to the wise and to the unwise.

So as much as is in me, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel

to you that are at Rome also.

I'm ready to unleash some power in Rome. Amen.

That's what he's saying, because he just told us that preaching Christ is the

power of God and the wisdom of God.

All right. So he's ready to go into Rome. And here's what he says.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.

I'm not ashamed of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Are you?

I'm not ashamed of it because I realized that in that program,

amen, the power of God was released into the world. Praise the Lord.

Amen. And through the preaching of the gospel, he said, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,

for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth,

to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

So Paul says, if you want the power, the power of God is found in the preaching

of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the message that unleashes

the power of God to anybody that'll believe it.

Amen. If you believe it, you can have the power of God in your life.

You say, I need the power of God. Yes, you do. And I do too.

And the best way to get the power of God in your life is to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Not just think about it, not wonder about it, but grab a hold of it and believe it. Praise the Lord.

Because when you believe it, you unlock the door. Praise the Lord.

You unlock the power of God in your life through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

That's how you get it. That's where it comes from. It doesn't come from a great

somebody up on the mountaintop with some kind of sorcery power.

Music.

It doesn't come through Oprah Winfrey. It doesn't come through CBS,

NBC, MSNBC, whatever, whatever, whatever.

If you want the power of God unleashed in your life, believe God,

believe his word, and believe and obey the gospel of Jesus Christ,

and you will have the power of God unleashed.

Now, think about that. I'm not just talking about a little ability.

I'm talking about the ability, the power of God.

Power, another way of saying power is ability.

See, our abilities are limited. Our thinking is limited, but God's power,

his ability is not limited. Praise the Lord.

Amen. There's not a thing he can't do altogether. together.

And the beauty of it is not just look at, not just by, I mean,

you can look at the universe.

I was thinking about this the other day.

Okay, you got the sun and you got the planets that are going around the sun,

and they're not actually going in a perfect circle.

They're kind of oblong, and they all got their own little orbit,

you know, and then you take the fact that the sun is not standing still either,

so you got these planets.

The earth was spinning. I don't know. It takes 24 hours to go around,

spin around one time or whatever. What is it?

Yeah, daytime for the earth to spin. It takes 365 days or in a quarter to go around the sun.

And then it takes the moon 30 days about to go around the earth.

Okay. And all that's moving. And at the same time, the sun's moving.

And at the same time, the sun's moving and all the planets are moving.

So you got this great thing going around through the universe and the universe

that men, we don't even understand it. We don't know what it is.

The Bible says that the heavens declare the glory of God.

God, the Bible says he is revealed and seen in his power by the heavens,

when you look up in the heavens and you see the stars and you see the moon and

you see the sun and you understand that there's galaxies and all these things,

you are looking at the God that created and dealing with the God that created

the universe. Praise the Lord.

He has power to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can even ask or

think and the thing about it is you can tap in to his power praise the Lord

you can tap in to him working on your behalf.

See, I've said this before. I'm not just looking down at the mission or here

at Southwest. We're not looking for a lawyer to come in.

I mean, if somebody comes in as a lawyer, that'd be all right,

and gets baptized, get the Holy Ghost. That'd be all right.

Anybody come, homeless person, come in, get baptized, get the Holy Ghost. It'll be all right.

Because what God's looking for is he's not looking for somebody with great ability.

He's not looking for somebody with a bunch of money. He doesn't need them. You know what he needs?

He just needs, Brother Breeden, somebody that'll believe the gospel. Praise the Lord.

Just somebody that'll believe what the Word of God says.

And when you operate in faith, Jesus said, all things are possible to him that believeth. Amen.

If you believe it, you can unleash the power of God.

God, help us have faith in this last day.

Help us have faith because we have this power of God that is entrusted to us.

Now, so Jesus said, so we know that you got to believe the gospel,

repent, get baptized, get the Holy Ghost.

Jesus said, you shall receive power. After that, the Holy Ghost has come upon

you. And that power is the power of God.

It's what they call, it's a dunamis power.

The word is dunamis like, so they get the word dynamite. It's an explosive power.

You see, the Holy Ghost comes in power. Paul said, I didn't come with enticing

words of men's wisdom. He said, but I come in demonstration,

in a power, in the powerful move of the Holy Ghost.

I want to see a move of the Holy Ghost.

I want to see the power of God sweep up and down these pews and up and down

these chairs and work on somebody's life and let them be a believer in Jesus

Christ, be filled with the Holy Ghost,

and let the power of God begin to unfold in their life. Praise the Lord.

Woo! Hallelujah. Hallelujah. When you get the power of God.

Man, if we could only believe it. I believe all things. I believe it. Okay.

But I'm like the man in the Bible that said, Lord, I believe, but help my unbelief.

I believe he can. I'm having a problem. My problem is believing that he will.

Because I don't know if I make it too intellectual or think about it too much.

But you know, some people you pray for them, they get healed.

Some people you don't. And so that causes people like me that are obsessive

compulsive to think about stuff too much.

You know, you can think about stuff too much. Come on, somebody.

You can think you can have yourself in a you can have yourself in a big mess

and you ain't even got out of bed yet.

Well, I got to get up today and I got to I got to get in my car and take my

car down, get the oil change. And, you know, they get I get that day.

If they don't put that oil plug in there just right, that oil will drain out.

And if that oil drains out while I'm going down the road, my motor will blow up.

And if my motor blows up, I won't have no way of getting to work.

And if I don't have no way of getting to work, I'm not going to be able to make my house payment.

And if I can't make my house payment, I'm going to lose my house.

And my wife and my kids are going to be out in the street.

You ain't even got out of bed yet, dude. Back up. Back up a little bit.

That's your sermon on inside there. I wasn't even thinking about that. But it's the truth.

But we can have God in our life. And the thing about it is, once you start operating

in faith, now, like I said, I believe you can.

One time, let's see, one time I really operated in faith. Sister Young don't probably remember.

We was over here and in the sanctuary over here, and I was preaching one night,

and service was moving, and Sister Young had her hernia.

And I knew she had hernia because we just found out.

And I was really preaching and getting wild, you know, and, and I,

somehow I moved in faith and I, I just went down and I said,

I said, raise your hands three times.

And when you get on the third time, say, thank you, Jesus, or something like that.

I said, and G, you know, I said, raise your hands and say Jesus three times

and whatever, and whatever.

And God, she, she done for, she forgot all about having a hernia.

She said, I had a hernia. I said, yeah, you had a hernia. Yeah.

And I remember I just read, was looking at her, you know, you got your little MyChart on the phone.

I was looking back through there and the doctor had said, and it was there where

they had talked about her, but God through faith, not, you know,

and I think, man, wouldn't it be nice to operate like that all the time?

That's, and I want to tell you something, I really do believe if we could get there,

if we could, if we could really get there, if we could really believe it,

if I'm saying, if we really believed it, and I don't know, you know,

I'd like to get there, and I've been, I've had glimpses of it,

I've had glimpses of faith, like I told you that time, and I've done a few things.

And I have faith when I preach. I try to operate in the Holy Ghost.

But if I really believe it, I believe, like Jesus said, if you had faith as

a grain of the mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, be thou removed.

Be thou, get out of the way. Praise the Lord.

If we can believe it. You see, the power of God is unleashed through our faith.

It's having faith in God, Believe in God.

Staying with God even when you don't get what you think you want.

Believe in God and trusting him and operating just in faith. I love him.

I'm going to live for him. If I get it, I'm going to serve him.

If I don't get it, I'm going to serve him. I believe he can. I believe he will.

I believe he can. I believe he will.

I believe he can. I believe he will.

That unleashes the power of God in your life. That gives you power and strength to go through.

That's what takes you through is your faith. That's what helps you survive is your faith.

The devil wants to attack our faith.

He wants to get us to where we don't believe and we doubt and we wonder.

But I'm here to come against that tonight and say, let's unleash the power of God.

Anything. Amen. Praise the Lord.

Man, I sit back sometimes and I step outside of myself.

I know that might sound crazy, but I kind of think, I really do believe if somebody

was sitting there that had a problem, and if I really had what Jesus was talking about,

I believe that if I could get where I needed to be,

you know, he did say, do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think.

What's the rest of it though?

According to the power that worketh in you.

So see, we got to believe it. But if we believe it, I'm telling you,

you talk about have revival.

That's why I like Brother Carter. He's a young guy, but he believes what he's

preaching. Praise the Lord. He ain't ashamed to pray for you.

He ain't afraid to say, God, heal him. And that's the way you got to be.

Amen. I think we ought to believe God, don't you?

I said, I think we ought to believe God because that unleashes the power of God in our midst.

Have faith in God. Believe God. Now, I'm not just talking about miracles and signs and wonders.

I'm talking about believe God, believe his word, follow him,

follow his ways, follow his principles.

And you see, when you do that it unleashes the

power of god in your life he can bring open

doors i said he can open doors praise the lord.

I said he can open doors that no man can shut praise the lord he can give you

a job you never dreamed you could have he can open doors he can do things in

your life that you never dreamed possible i believe it i do believe that so

tonight let's grab a hold of the power of god,

Let's say we don't want no phony power of God. We don't want to be no sorcerers.

We don't want no sorcerers. We don't, you know, somebody comes in here and gets

the dust out and starts shaking it. I'm running them out the door.

Hey, man, you're out of here. Kids would say, out of five, dude, jerk on. Get out of here.

Run them out. We don't want nothing to do with that. We don't want nothing to

do with no phony, fake, nothing.

We want the real, genuine power of the Holy Ghost that gets a hold of a life,

gets a hold of a boy, gets a hold of a girl, gets a hold of a man,

gets a hold of a woman, and changes their destiny. Praise the Lord.

Makes a new creature out of them. Praise the Lord.

Amen. Takes a wino and makes a soul winner out of them. Praise the Lord.

Changes their life. The power of God moves in their life, and they become a

new creation in Christ Jesus,

and they change who they are, and God works in their heart and works in their

life, And it's done through the power of God because they follow him and they

live for him and they serve him and they go with him no matter what.

And they put their confidence in him and the power of God is unleashed.

Our faith. I said, it's unleashed by our faith.

Have faith in God. Paul said, I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I'm not ashamed to walk into a town and preach about Jesus.

I'm not ashamed to preach the cross. He said, because I know and I believe that

it is the power of God unto salvation.

To the Jew first and the Greek, it don't matter what race you are,

what nationality you are, doesn't matter where you come from,

how much money you got, or what your daddy's name is.

All you got to do is believe it. What God's looking for, I believe,

and what Southwest Apostolic Church is looking for,

what we're looking for, what Brother Matthews was always looking for,

just somebody that'll come through the door and believe the Word of God and believe the gospel,

believe that Jesus Christ is a healer, believe he's a deliverer,

believe he's a life changer. Praise the Lord.

Somebody just needs to believe it.

Amen. I believe it. I believe it. I believe it. And I would like to go to that

next level in faith and be there, you know, because I really think things could

happen, you know, or it could be like the old song, you know,

they said, uh, lady lived on one side of the mountain.

You might have heard this as an old song and said she had her church was on

the other side of the mountain and she had to go across the mountain to go to church.

And she went to church one night and the preacher said, if you believe you can

say this mountain, be thou removed.

She started walking back and forth to church saying, Lord, move this mountain.

And they said they got on her. So now, you know, he didn't really.

He means, you know, things can be changed. I don't know if you were.

And they just, you know, let me say this. Sometimes you want to believe God

and people will discourage you.

Don't let anybody discourage you. Believe God. Amen.

Believe God. Believe God. Believe God. The devil's a liar. He's a discourager. Praise the Lord.

I said he's a liar and a discourager. Let's believe God. Praise the Lord.

Amen. amen amen lord move this mountain lord move this mountain now sister you're

getting carried away i don't think god ain't going to really move the mountain

move this mountain move this mountain few weeks months later little grandson

says grandma there's somebody out in the yard,

they got they got papers and they're they're measuring and stuff and and they

said so she goes out there and says uh what are you folks doing out here and

they said we're getting ready to, we're getting ready to, we're getting ready to put a road in here.

We're fixing to move this mountain. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

Believe God. Believe he can. Believe he will. Praise the Lord.

Believe him if he don't. Praise the Lord. Just believe God. Unleash your faith in Jesus Christ.

Amen. Put your confidence in him. No matter what comes or what goes,

put your faith and confidence in him, and the power of God to keep you and help

you and help you live and be will be unleashed in your life.

How can you keep going after all that's been done in your life?

Keep faith in Christ. That's how you keep going, because that is how the power

of God is revealed and working in our lives.

Let's stand tonight. I feel the Holy Ghost right now.
