  1. Welcome to the Southwest Apostolic Church podcast.

  2. This podcast is brought to you by the Southwest Apostolic Church,

  3. located at 3161 South Rowena Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46241.

  4. The podcast will feature preaching

  5. from our pastor and from other ministers, so we hope you enjoy it.

  6. Without further ado, let's get right into it. God bless.

  7. If you have it, say amen. Amen. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,

  8. that you should obey it in the lust thereof.

  9. That means the desires thereof.

  10. I'm going to talk tonight, our subject, I'm going to talk about sin tonight.

  11. Just talk about it and see what the Bible says about it. And would you mind

  12. praying with me one more time? Lord, we need you tonight.

  13. We ask you, Lord, to help us with your word.

  14. Help us that you would open it up to us and realize that we need you,

  15. and we ask you in Jesus' name. Amen.

  16. Amen. When you talk about sin, the first thing you have to talk about.

  17. Well, there's a few things you could talk about, but let's see what the Bible says that sin is.

  18. Let's talk about it. But let's go to, oh, let's start with 1 John 3 and 4.

  19. So sin is a deep subject.

  20. We realize that sin came into the world because of Adam's transgression, disobedience to God.

  21. That would kind of, a transgression of the known, 1 John 3, 4,

  22. wherefore whosoever committeth sin transgresses also the law.

  23. For sin is the transgression of the law.

  24. Now, I was listening to a lecture the other day or looking at it on YouTube.

  25. It was a Harvard professor, and he was talking about the first Cain and Abel,

  26. and he talked about murder, talked about Cain murdering his brother,

  27. and he was asking the question.

  28. And he said, where did God ever tell them not to murder?

  29. He said, we don't read where God told them not to murder.

  30. And he was, you know, getting out there deep. But I believe that every man has

  31. a conscience, don't you?

  32. I believe that Adam, see, that Adam, when God told him not to eat that fruit,

  33. whatever it was, he put in him the opportunity to either do good or not do good.

  34. And every one of us have the opportunity to either do good or not do good.

  35. But the thing that we need to realize, the Bible says that all have sinned and

  36. come short of the glory of God.

  37. Now, I want to zero in on that for a few minutes.

  38. But real quick, let's go another definition. The Bible says in Psalms 10, 19,

  39. in the multitude of words, there wanteth not sin, but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

  40. Sometimes what you say can be sin. Sometimes you can talk too much.

  41. Somebody say, man, sometimes words can be sin. Amen.

  42. They didn't want to go upstairs. The boys did. They don't want to go upstairs.

  43. They want to stay with you. All right. Huh?

  44. Okay. All right. So vain talk is sin.

  45. The Bible says in Proverbs 14, 21, he that despises his neighbor sinneth.

  46. So sin could be the contempt for others. But he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

  47. In Proverbs 24, 9, the thought of foolishness is sin, and the scorner is an abomination to men.

  48. The Bible says also in Romans 14, 23,

  49. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith,

  50. for whatsoever is not of faith, is sin.

  51. So unbelief can be sin. Neglect of an opportunity.

  52. Therefore, to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

  53. And we read about transgression of the law. And in 1 John 5,

  54. 17, all unrighteousness is sin.

  55. And there is a sin not unto death. And sin is a universal thing.

  56. No one can say, for all have sinned. And now here's where I want to get to,

  57. OK, here's another definition of sin.

  58. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

  59. All right. So this is what I want us to think about tonight.

  60. OK, so sin is a big subject.

  61. And we know that a outright transgression of the law is sin.

  62. You can say thou shalt not commit adultery or the law of love in the New Testament.

  63. Love your neighbor, love God. If you love your neighbor, you won't be stealing his car.

  64. You won't be messing with his wife. So if you love like you should,

  65. you'll fulfill what is called the royal law of love and you won't sin.

  66. Okay. So sin is a transgression. So if you know what the, if you know,

  67. and to him that knoweth to do

  68. good and doeth it not, the Bible said it is sin. Isn't Isn't that right?

  69. Didn't we just read that? And it also says, for all have sinned.

  70. You see, I'm trying. I want to get there. I don't want to get there too fast.

  71. For all have sinned and come show it. That's the key definition that I want to talk about tonight.

  72. Missing the walk. You see, when we think about sin, we look at it from our point of view.

  73. And our point of view says, I'm doing all right.

  74. I didn't knock nobody out today.

  75. I didn't get drunk today. I didn't. When we look at it from our point of view,

  76. we think we're doing all right.

  77. So, see, when we're talking about sin and those things, we want to look at things

  78. from God's point of view.

  79. Amen. Because we want to be right with God. And we sometimes forget that God

  80. is a holy God, righteous God, and in him is no sin at all. He doesn't lie.

  81. He doesn't cheat. He doesn't play head games with people.

  82. He doesn't do any of that kind of stuff. And when we have to realize that since

  83. humanity has sinned and come short, they came short.

  84. You see, what it is, it's not doing what God wants.

  85. That's the bottom line. I was reading about Cain and Abel, and they were talking

  86. about this in this lecture, too.

  87. Cain brought an offering to God And Abel brought an offering to God And the

  88. Bible says That God accepted Abel's offering And he did not accept Cain's offering.

  89. Now, we can talk about why he accepted it, what he accepted,

  90. what he didn't accept, why, all that.

  91. But the point is, and Cain, he talked to Cain about it.

  92. And he said, he said, Cain, if you do good, don't you know that what you,

  93. if you do good, then what you do will be accepted.

  94. In other words, Cain, if you bring and do what God wants done and do God's will

  95. and do it the way God wants you to do it, you'll be accepted.

  96. But he said, if not, he said, sin lieth at the door.

  97. And it's interesting that the word sin and sin offering means the same word.

  98. So, in other words, you've got a choice here, Cain.

  99. Now, you know what to do. You know what to do, right? And I'm telling you,

  100. if you just do what's accepted and do what I'm asking you to do, it'll be accepted.

  101. So you've got a choice here. You're going to make a choice. You're either going

  102. to offer the correct sin offering or you're going to go into an area called sin.

  103. You're going to go into a place called sin that is where people go and things

  104. are that disobey God. And the fact of the matter is, that is where all of humanity is. Okay?

  105. We need God. And the Bible says it's of his mercies that we're not consumed.

  106. The reason humanity is still alive and the reason humanity have the opportunity

  107. to be saved, it's because of that amazing grace we were singing about to God.

  108. You know, I'm glad God cares, and I'm glad he's got mercy. Aren't you glad he's got mercy tonight?

  109. But I want to zero in on this. So all humanity, those that aren't living,

  110. they're not. So people get up every day.

  111. You say, well, they go to work.

  112. They drive the car. They might have a little road rage here,

  113. you know, but they're all right.

  114. But the fact of the matter is, we could probably say with a little bit of confidence,

  115. quite a bit of confidence that most people aren't thinking about what God means.

  116. Most people really, maybe somewhere they might have a question about God.

  117. It might pop up every once in a while, and somebody will talk about it,

  118. but it kind of goes away, and they go on back doing what they want to do, okay?

  119. So we know that all humanity is the world lieth in sin, the Bible says.

  120. But now when I'm going to talk about redemption and all that,

  121. I just want to talk about sin and what it is.

  122. First of all, it's a verb, and it's a noun. Okay.

  123. Okay, it's a person, place, or thing. Sin is a place you can be in.

  124. The world is in sin, okay?

  125. Sin is something you do and something you commit. So it's also a verb, okay?

  126. But sin is, there's sin under death.

  127. There's adultery, fornication, homosexuality, all that kind of stuff.

  128. We know that is a, and sin has a tendency to get worse.

  129. People don't just get better. People don't just get better.

  130. Like people say, you know, like the evolutionists say, well,

  131. we're all getting better.

  132. And if we just stay together and do what we're supposed to, it'll all work out.

  133. That's not the way humanity is. Somebody say amen.

  134. Because we know that the tendency is down.

  135. And I'm trying to get somewhere tonight. I'm kind of struggling a little bit,

  136. but that's probably my problem, not yours.

  137. The Bible says, for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness

  138. and unrighteousness of men who

  139. hold the truth or hold down the truth in unrighteousness. righteousness.

  140. And then it goes on to say, because that which may be known of God is manifest

  141. in them, for God hath showed it unto them.

  142. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,

  143. being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead,

  144. so that they are without excuse.

  145. And we read that because men, when they knew God, They glorified him not as God.

  146. Neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations.

  147. And their foolish heart was darkened, professing themselves to be wise.

  148. They become fools, change the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made

  149. like a corruptible man, and to birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things.

  150. They don't, humanity doesn't like to retain.

  151. If you don't, I want to tell you what, I want to keep God in my knowledge.

  152. I want to keep God in my brain. I want to keep God in my heart.

  153. I want to keep God in my, I want to be where God is. I want to think about God.

  154. I want to make sure I'm right with God.

  155. Let me say this, and this is another part of the lesson, but sin will be judged.

  156. Okay. But God is merciful. Aren't you glad he's merciful?

  157. Okay. So what happens is humanity, uh.

  158. He changes the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like uncorruptible

  159. man, idols, birds, they worship, and four-footed beasts, golden calves, and creeping things.

  160. And God gave them up to uncleanness through the lust of their own hearts to

  161. dishonor their own bodies between themselves,

  162. who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshiped and served the creature

  163. more than the Creator who is blessed forever.

  164. Amen. And we see that today, don't we?

  165. There's a lot of humans getting a lot of worship today.

  166. There's a lot of people worshiping other humans. They're really,

  167. I mean, they think a lot of them.

  168. I heard them talking. I've never heard of Bad Bunny. Anybody know who Bad Bunny is?

  169. Bad Bunny, I guess he's a Spanish rapper. I don't know what Bad Bunny is going

  170. to sing at the Super Bowl.

  171. And, you know, I'm 67, so I don't know too much about Bad Bunny.

  172. But I guess worldwide old

  173. bad bunny there people real people really follow

  174. these people and let's face it they get into an idol worship almost they love

  175. them they follow them what's another one jelly roll you know he's another big

  176. one he's not so big now I mean he lost 200 pounds So Jelly Roll is just a Pop-Tart now, praise the Lord.

  177. Jelly Roll went from Jelly Roll to Pop-Tart, praise the Lord.

  178. But these people, humanity put their affection on things that they shouldn't put their affection on.

  179. And all these things, and they follow these things. And what happens is they're

  180. sinning because they're in the wrong area.

  181. You see, there's a dimension.

  182. Things are in dimensions.

  183. It's like, let me give you an example.

  184. Let's say the Bible talks about the wearing of gold, you know, not the wearing of gold.

  185. So the Bible lets us know that our outward bling-bling is not what's important,

  186. but it's the input man. Okay, that's what the Bible teaches. Is that right?

  187. All right. So, what happens is, you have to figure this out because the Bible's

  188. teaching us that wearing the gold

  189. and wearing a lot of bling bling and everything is not the way to gold.

  190. So you say, well, it doesn't say exactly where it is. What I'm now,

  191. we're into the falling short part now.

  192. Is missing the mark somewhere if the

  193. bible teaches against certain things and it's and

  194. it's like it says the warrior gold let the hit let it

  195. be the hidden man of the heart not the outward appearance so

  196. somewhere okay you put on a let's say

  197. let's say i gave you example in our

  198. world i can remember when the earrings were clip on can see anybody else remember

  199. that then they started that putting holes in their ears and then they started

  200. doing all kinds of stuff and people started wearing rings and then they start

  201. wearing a ring on this thing and a ring on this thing and a ring on this thing

  202. and a ring on this thing and a ring on this thing and a ring on this thing and

  203. a ring in her nose and a ring around her name.

  204. So what I'm saying is somewhere in the dimension of what God said the way it

  205. should be and somewhere you go from one dimension to the other.

  206. It's a shame for a man to have long hair. What's that mean?

  207. Now all I know is if I let my hair grow,

  208. and I cut it short somewhere and

  209. I let it go somewhere it's

  210. going to go from the dimension of short to long

  211. isn't that right it's going

  212. to go now where is that I don't know some guys say well I'm on there just my

  213. neck's not really long it could be a lot longer and the other guy says you know

  214. I think I'll keep my bloods cut or whatever and you know so where is what is

  215. what What I'm saying is somewhere you don't want to get in the dimension of

  216. missing the mark. That's what I'm getting.

  217. We want to make sure you're on this side.

  218. You want to make sure you're in the good area, not the dimension of just pushing the edge.

  219. Are you with me? And so now talking to children of God, talking to people that

  220. are baptized, got the Holy Ghost, you are called a saint,

  221. I know King James is called to be but the fact of the matter is when God gives

  222. you the Holy Ghost or anybody gives you the Holy Ghost been baptized got the

  223. Holy Ghost and God calls you into his church there's a tag good on you you get a tag.

  224. You get a new name in your forehead. The Bible says it. You get an identity.

  225. Your identity is you are a saint of God.

  226. Now, the thing you have to operate in is that dimension.

  227. You have a responsibility. I have a responsibility to operate in the dimension of being a saint.

  228. Now, I'm not talking about Mother Teresa's saint or something like that.

  229. I'm talking about being a real Christian.

  230. Yes, amen. We have a responsibility. to be a real Christian.

  231. And somewhere along the line, we have to take it serious about making sure we're

  232. operating in the right area because missing the mark can be sin.

  233. And I don't want to sin. I don't want you to be in sin. I don't want anybody to be in sin.

  234. And I think sometimes we don't take this so serious enough.

  235. We kind of just kind of stick, what's the old stick to the balloon?

  236. We just kind of think it ain't no big deal you

  237. know if I am a child of God and God has told me and pulled me and shot me in

  238. the church and he has told me that I am a chosen generation and a royal priesthood

  239. and a holy nation he puts these on me so wait a minute.

  240. If I don't think about that and try

  241. to operate in that area and try

  242. to stay in that dimension you say

  243. well maybe i don't know you say i don't know where

  244. that dimension is that's why you've had leadership that's

  245. why you have things called standard it's like a ground

  246. beef i don't know what the exact standard is

  247. but i've said this before if somebody's going to say 100 percent ground beef

  248. on their package it probably has to be 99.9 or 99.5 ground beef because i guarantee

  249. there's somebody that put dopamine in there and put 100% brown beef on it and sell it if they could.

  250. It's called a standard. That's called a, yeah, a standard.

  251. Standard is where, like, the line is. Where is the line? I don't know.

  252. It's like I was talking about long hair, okay? So you have to,

  253. what it is, you have to say, okay, it is a dimension I need to be in.

  254. Where can I? So that's why you have churches, and that's why you have pastors,

  255. and that's why you have standards.

  256. And what you have to do, you have to draw a line somewhere and say,

  257. I'm going to stay over here.

  258. Because if you don't, what happens is you get it okay am I making any sense

  259. about getting close in that dimension,

  260. okay let's just follow love not the world neither the things that are in the

  261. world for if you love the world, the love of the father is not in you well,

  262. brilliant, what's that mean,

  263. wait a minute You know, what are we doing here?

  264. Does that mean, does that mean I can't go play football?

  265. I think you're all right.

  266. What's quiet and I'm sorry to sweat. I'm not preaching against football.

  267. I'm not saying. So if I say something, I'll let you know what I'm doing.

  268. Okay. But what I'm saying is there's things that are in the world. Are you with me?

  269. Yeah. The love of the world, the things in the world,

  270. the entertainment of the world, the world the world the world and it's

  271. out there okay now so well I'm going to take my kids and go walk by okay that's

  272. it go on walk by and have a good time and say okay but you understand but there's

  273. some things you can if you go out there too far you're getting into a different

  274. convention yeah exactly,

  275. I want to tell you what I think. Child of God, born again, back down.

  276. I think all these two so-called apostolic folks, and I'm listening to one record. I don't care.

  277. They start running out here and start being idol worships with these football players.

  278. You got so-called apostolic running off to the football games.

  279. I think they're getting out there in the wrong direction.

  280. You see what I'm trying to say? Because there is a dimension where you're in,

  281. the sin. And sin is missing the mark.

  282. Wait a minute. Is that what God really wants for his people?

  283. Smoking seeds. You say, well, don't say.

  284. Don't say nothing in the Bible about smoking doobies or smoking seeds.

  285. Can I smoke a doobie? Well, think about it.

  286. Does God want his people out there hiring a tyke? I don't think that.

  287. Does he want? is an okay thing. Ray Young's way out there.

  288. Does God want his people intoxicated? No, absolutely not.

  289. Paul told Timothy, drink a little wine for your stomach's sake.

  290. You know, somebody's got an infirmary and they drank wine because of the water

  291. wasn't good and all that.

  292. And if somebody, you know, somebody said, I'm drinking a little.

  293. Somebody said, Somebody said,

  294. I got an infirmity in my stomach and I got a little wine in the cupboard.

  295. Okay, maybe that's true. But I'm going to tell you what, if you keep hitting

  296. that bottle, you're getting into the wrong area.

  297. You know, I got a stomachache getting back, you know.

  298. My stomach's killing me. You see what I'm saying?

  299. So we want to make sure as children of God and this will fall through life.

  300. The Bible talks about a child of God. A man of God, a servant of God has to be faithful.

  301. We have to be faithful to God. We have to be faithful to church.

  302. We have to be faithful to our families. We have to be faithful.

  303. And so, you know, you go to church and then you miss church and you go to church

  304. and you miss church and you miss church.

  305. Well, wait a minute. Now you're going to be careful. You're going to get in the wrong dimension.

  306. So God wants his people to be faithful. Somebody said, what kind of church would

  307. you have if everybody in it was like you?

  308. If everybody in the church was like you, what would it be like?

  309. If everybody in the church was like Brother Breeden, they'd be down Taco Tuesdays every week.

  310. He sent me a picture the other day with him and Chad was in churches and had

  311. a picture of church's chicken and said, yum, yum. the line.

  312. So what we're talking about is tonight, we need to keep God in our mind and

  313. think about, wait a minute, am I operating the way God wants me to?

  314. We can make decisions and do things if we have that right to do that.

  315. But we have to realize, wait a minute, there is a responsibility and there is

  316. a dimension that I'm supposed to operate in as a child of God.

  317. As a child I'm to operate in a certain dimension I'm not supposed to get out of that,

  318. I'm not supposed to run something get mad at somebody run them off the road

  319. pull the shotgun out on them you know road rage because that's some in the long

  320. dimension there I don't belong there that's not where it's like this you take a killer whale,

  321. you take a big whale or a shark and they stay in the water man that whale he can go deep,

  322. a big old whale he can come flying up out of the water and do a period and flop back down in there,

  323. no sharks you know.

  324. He's in the right he's in where he belongs he's operating where he belongs,

  325. that's where God wanted him that's what God did him that's what God wants for

  326. a whale he don't want him laying up on the beach because if he gets out of the

  327. water he's the goner he's a goner,

  328. let's call a beached whale and the next thing you know you'll have people running

  329. out there trying to push him back into water and everything because they know

  330. that's not where he belongs well let's face it there's places and things where

  331. people and the people of God don't belong there,

  332. you know well we done went there we might not go out of the When I was young,

  333. every restaurant didn't sell beer.

  334. They wouldn't open on Sundays. But now you say, well, can I go to Pizza Hut? Pizza Hut served beer.

  335. Well, can I go to Ruby Tuesdays? Ruby Tuesdays has a bar in there.

  336. Well, I go to Ruby Tuesdays. I don't go to the bar. Well, I can go to Ruby Tuesdays.

  337. I love this. Oh, yeah. I love this. something.

  338. But have me know, there's some place that you can go to, you're in at Lippon-Pakon, don't you?

  339. You can go to a restaurant that has a bar or you can be in a bar that has a restaurant.

  340. With me. And what I'm teaching tonight is sin is a serious subject,

  341. and we don't want to be guilty of sin in any way. So we don't want to miss the mark.

  342. We want to come out from among them and be separate, saith the Lord.

  343. That's what he told us to do.

  344. And touch not the unclean thing.

  345. And if you do that, and he said, I will receive you unto myself,

  346. and you'll be my sons and my daughters.

  347. You know, what he's saying is, I don't want you out there getting messed up.

  348. I don't want you sinning. I don't want you out there sinning.

  349. And some people, it's not. We're talking about things that are, what's the word?

  350. I'm not talking about. Now, we've read where the transgression of the law is sin.

  351. Fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lying, stealing.

  352. We know that that is wrong. We know that anybody is not supposed to be doing that.

  353. Okay. But there's also an area that is bigger than that, and it's another dimension,

  354. and it's called the dimension of missing the moral.

  355. Do you know there was an offering in the Old Testament, the sins of ignorance?

  356. Because we did stuff wrong and

  357. don't even realize it. We hurt people's feelings and don't even mean to.

  358. We say things we don't really we don't want to hurt nobody but sometimes somebody

  359. could take what we say wrong and we did it the ignorance we could do a lot of

  360. things in ignorance i do a lot of things in ignorance i'm ignorant i don't know

  361. about you but i'm ignorant sometimes you know,

  362. so you have so what we have is you have people that are violating the the the

  363. law and the principles of god that don't know it and you have people that are

  364. violating the principles of god And they do know it and don't care.

  365. There's people that they know what the Bible says. They know what Christians believe.

  366. They know what the standard of living is supposed to be.

  367. They know they're not supposed to be two men married together.

  368. But they know the church says that, well, see, what happened?

  369. Remember what I said, the downhill trend.

  370. They said, well, the church, I know I'm not supposed to be doing that because

  371. your church stands against it. Now, the church don't need things in Eastward.

  372. They got homosexual bitches and everything else. See, they went from a dimension.

  373. See, they went from, you know, they went from one dimension to another dimension.

  374. And they got in that dimension just as soon as they started transgressing what God says to do.

  375. And we don't want to transgress what

  376. God wants us to do. We don't want to transgress what God wants us to be.

  377. We need to realize who we are. That's a good Bible study.

  378. You are a chosen generation. that means

  379. a group of people a certain race of people god has

  380. called you and put you into his church and he called

  381. you a saint and you're a chosen generation you are a royal priesthood you are

  382. a priesthood you have access to god the your high priest is the jesus is your

  383. father and you can intercede on behalf of people you have the ability to intercede

  384. and pray for your family and pray for the neighborhood and pray.

  385. That's who you are. And don't just disregard that.

  386. We don't just disregard who we are, what God wants us to be.

  387. We can't just disregard that.

  388. And that's what happens. People disregard it. They don't think about it.

  389. Or maybe they do think about it. But they just run off and do what they want to do.

  390. Well, be careful. Be careful, Mr. Whale. Don't get out there and do just what

  391. you want to do. You want to make sure you're in the right dimension.

  392. To make sure we're doing what we're supposed to be doing. You see,

  393. the Bible said, who much given is much required.

  394. And he that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

  395. Jesus said, there's some people who's going to be beaten with,

  396. you know, this is a lot deeper than this. We're just skimming across the edges,

  397. you know, because there's some scriptures.

  398. What about people that don't know? Well, everybody's got a conscience. Let's start there.

  399. People know if they're doing right or wrong and what it is they know they make

  400. a decision you make a decision to do right or you make a decision to do wrong

  401. and if they make a decision to do wrong they justify themselves.

  402. All right you don't have to go to church that much you don't have to do all

  403. that you don't have to do that let me ask you a question if i'm a man and god

  404. saved me and i'm a man do i need to be running around in a little tutu am i

  405. missing the mark come on somebody You better believe it. You better believe it.

  406. Don't even think about me in a tutu. I don't know why I say that.

  407. I could have just said a dress, I guess. That's better.

  408. But what, you see what I'm saying? So how do we feel? How do we present on staff? If you're elected.

  409. See, the world, the ladies of the world, the women of the world,

  410. they're not thinking about presenting themselves.

  411. Matter of fact, the world says it doesn't matter. how you present yourself.

  412. But how many knows? We can see the fact that it does matter and we can see that

  413. men are men and women are women.

  414. And we can see that if you break down those lines, it is a detriment to society.

  415. And it's a detriment to children.

  416. It's a detriment to the family.

  417. Look around. I said, just look around.

  418. So what am I trying to say? Make sure you stay in the right dimension as a child of God.

  419. Make sure, think about where you go, what you do, what you say,

  420. and don't just slough it off and say it ain't no big deal.

  421. Now, let me throw this in. The Bible says that we have a liberty, Christian liberty.

  422. All things are lawful, but not all things are exceeding. Not everything's good for you.

  423. Okay? So, the fact that you say, well, it's easy.

  424. Let's go back to the taverns and the bar again, I guess.

  425. Bernie Young's taking you back to the tavern. Okay, here we go.

  426. Okay. One guy, he sees it.

  427. We talked about a restaurant with a bar and a bar with a restaurant.

  428. The guy sees a bar with a restaurant, and he says, I'm out of town,

  429. and I need something to eat. And he goes in and gets something to eat. Okay.

  430. And he realizes he wouldn't go there all the time. He just got in something, and he left.

  431. The problem is there are people that look at that and say, no big deal.

  432. And you start going to a bar, and then the next thing you're sitting at the

  433. bar, eating. You can eat at the bar, and you're sitting at the bar,

  434. and you're eating, and the next thing you know, you're getting in the wrong

  435. dimension. Am I making any sense here?

  436. So that's why all this being said, that's why churches have standards.

  437. That's why they say we want our women to dress like women.

  438. That's why we want our men to look like men.

  439. The Bible says that men should. Now, okay, let's go back to the,

  440. what did I say? The long hair, short hair thing.

  441. When I got saved, the preacher said, keep a decent hair cut off the ears and off the top.

  442. Maybe if you go a little longer, is that really, you know, this is,

  443. you want to be in the right convention. Does that make any sense?

  444. Well, if I'm supposed to have long hair, what's that mean? You know,

  445. what's long? Leave it alone. Just let it grow. That's what it means.

  446. Don't trim it. Don't burn it. Just, it's as long as God makes it.

  447. It's not the link that it's not a legal thing.

  448. Like the lady that's got real long hair is more spiritual than the lady whose

  449. hair grows up here. The point is just let it grow.

  450. Stay in. I'm a, I'm a lady and long hair is my glory.

  451. And God made me a lady and my long hair is my glory.

  452. Then I'm going to let it get as long as it wants to get.

  453. And I can lock. There's probably a lot of women today that are praying,

  454. Lord, make it longer, but then there's some that don't matter.

  455. In our world, it doesn't matter, does it?

  456. Bubby got him a haircut, chili bowl, Danny called it.

  457. And I went to a gas station today, and there was a lady, there was a lady waiting

  458. on people at the gas station.

  459. She had an haircut like Bubby's.

  460. Am I throwing off on her? No, I'm not throwing off on nobody.

  461. I'm pointing at the world as in a dimension. They don't need to realize that.

  462. But we, the Bible says it like this. He called us out of darkness.

  463. Somebody say out of darkness into his marvelous light. We want to operate in the light. Amen.

  464. We don't want to transgress the law. We don't want to be disobedient.

  465. We don't want to have belief. We want to believe God. We want to operate in

  466. the dimension as a child of God.

  467. And there's other things. I mean, this goes all, you know, there's so much you

  468. could say, but I'm going to quit.

  469. I think I should have quit at the tutu probably.

  470. Praise the Lord.

  471. But let's make, see, sin, old Bishop Tyson used to say it like this,

  472. hell's still smoking and God ain't joking.

  473. This ain't a play thing. Living for God and sin and being right, but God's not leaving.

  474. That's not something to take lightly. That's not something to turn your back

  475. on. That's not something. I'm telling you, take your walk with God serious.

  476. Take your church service for God serious.

  477. Take your church life, your prayer life, your walk with God.

  478. Make it as serious as you can get it. Amen. Because it is serious.

  479. Because no sin is going in over there, ladies and gentlemen.

  480. But I'm glad. You know what I'm glad about, though? I'm glad he's the judge.

  481. See he has to sort all

  482. that out somebody say what about i don't know

  483. that's no man's land i don't belong there that belongs to god i'll let

  484. god handle that part of it but you know what he is

  485. going to handle it he told people in the old in the

  486. new testament go your way and send the whole and that's what we want to do tonight

  487. let's stand praise the lord praise the lord let's stay in the right dimension

  488. let's be children of god let's live holy and godly righteous and you know i

  489. I think the Holy Ghost will let you know if you start getting in the wrong dimension.

  490. It will. The Bible says that the Holy Ghost will lead us and guide us and teach

  491. us, lead us and guide us into all truth. The Lord will let you know.

  492. You know if you say something you shouldn't say. You know you can go to a place

  493. and you can feel the atmosphere.

  494. You know I better back off of this place.

  495. When I first got the Holy Ghost, I was riding with the guy. I got you standing.

  496. Just give me another minute. I just thought of this. When I first got the Holy

  497. Ghost, when I was 25, I rode to work with these guys.

  498. And every Friday when they got off work, they'd go to the tavern and cash their check.

  499. So I'm young in the Lord. I think, well, I know it's the tavern,

  500. but I can walk in there and cash my check too.

  501. And I can sit there and wait on them while they drink a beer or two and then

  502. take me home. I can drink a Coke.

  503. But after a while, I got thinking about that. I don't think I need to be sitting

  504. in here waiting on these guys. Thank you.

  505. Ain't careful, I'm going to be ordering something else besides a Coke or something in my Coke.

  506. You know what I'm saying? So I'm thinking, well, I just better get another ride

  507. home. And I think the Holy Ghost will lead us in the right way, don't you?

  508. Let's pray tonight. Lord, we love you. Thank you for good things.

  509. Thank you for good church, Lord. Just let us take sin serious and take living

  510. for you serious and say we want to be in the right dimension.

  511. We don't want to be in the area where we come to show it, Lord.

  512. And we all do. We understand that we all come short sometimes.

  513. We make mistakes. We don't even mean to, but we don't want to be there on purpose, God.

  514. We want to be where we should be. We want to be diligent and walk with you and

  515. be close to you and stay in the right areas and be what you want us to be.

  516. Keep us, Lord. Bring us back to your house again. We love you and we thank you.

  517. And everybody said, Amen. Amen.

  518. Praise the Lord. Praise God.

  519. Thank you for listening to our podcast. Southwest Apostolic Church is a place of refuge.

  520. If we can help you, we'd be glad to do it.

  521. Pastor's cell number, 317-469-3100. If we can help you, we'd be glad to do it. God bless.
