  1. Welcome to the Southwest Apostolic Church podcast.

  2. This podcast is brought to you by the Southwest Apostolic Church,

  3. located at 3161 South Rowena Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46241.

  4. The podcast will feature preaching

  5. from our pastor and from other ministers, so we hope you enjoy it.

  6. Without further ado, let's get right into it. God bless.

  7. I said God is good. He's good all the time, and I'm glad to know him tonight, aren't you?

  8. I really am. I'm glad to know him tonight, and glad to be in church again. No place I'd rather be.

  9. That's where I want to be tonight. Praise the Lord, and glad you're here,

  10. and I'm glad Jesus is here.

  11. Amen. I'm glad everybody's here.

  12. Glad some of the ladies took advantage of the prayer room tonight.

  13. We're going to have to get you some kind of nightlight. I can see that.

  14. It was pretty dark in there, so we'll have to get you a nightlight.

  15. And praise the Lord. We'd like all the ladies to take advantage of that if you're able.

  16. But all we can do is ask. I can't drive you with a whip or nothing, you know.

  17. Hallelujah. All you can do is encourage you to pray before service tonight,

  18. or not tonight, but every night.

  19. All you can do is try to help people, teach people to do the right thing. Amen? Amen.

  20. 1 Kings 19 tonight. 1 Kings 19. We did take an offering, right?

  21. All right, 1 Kings 19, hallelujah, amen.

  22. Time to get into the word tonight for a little bit and see how it goes,

  23. see if the Lord help. I'm sure he'll help me. If he don't, we're in trouble.

  24. If he don't, we'll be done in about five minutes.

  25. But put the phones up, put your checkbook up, time to pay attention, amen, amen.

  26. 1 Kings 19, three, start with the first three.

  27. And when he saw that, he arose, went for his life, and came to Beersheba,

  28. which belonged to Judah, and left his servant there.

  29. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down

  30. under a juniper tree, and he requested for himself that he might die.

  31. And said, It is enough now, O Lord, take away my life, for I am not better than my father's.

  32. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, an angel touched him and

  33. said unto him, Arise and eat.

  34. And he looked, and behold, there was a cake baking on the coals,

  35. and a cruise of water at his head.

  36. And he did eat and drink, and laid down again.

  37. And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him,

  38. and said, Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for thee.

  39. And he arose and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty

  40. days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

  41. And tonight, if the Lord helps me, I'd like to preach about strength for the

  42. journey. Could we pray one more time? Jesus, we love you.

  43. Thank you for your blessings tonight. We can't make it without you, God.

  44. We're thankful for those that are in the house of God tonight.

  45. Thank you for all the efforts that's put into having service,

  46. those that practice music, those that pray before service, those that care about

  47. what's going on. We sure appreciate them tonight.

  48. And we ask you, Lord, to help us with your word and that you'd touch hearts tonight.

  49. And we ask it in Jesus' name.

  50. Amen. Amen. You may be seated. Thank you for standing. Praise the Lord.

  51. And journey, strength for the journey. An old French word, journey,

  52. is a word for a day, a day's work or travel, travel or passage from one place

  53. to another, hence the word trip.

  54. Synonyms would be tour, trip, a jaunt, an excursion, or a pilgrimage.

  55. The journey of life encompasses all of the characteristics of the above words.

  56. Pleasure trips, tours to the Mount Smoky Mountains, business trips,

  57. excursions to the marketplace,

  58. Walmart, Meyers, CVS, Walmart, the mall, Church's Chicken. Hallelujah.

  59. Popeyes, praise God. Popeyes.

  60. And going to the job, going back home.

  61. The daily commute. take the kids to the babysitters, pick up the kids at school,

  62. walking down the street to the mailbox and back, visiting the doctor,

  63. going to pick up your prescriptions,

  64. visit the hospital, pray for the sick, preaching, Bible studies,

  65. building, remodeling, new carpet, new chairs.

  66. All of that makes up our pilgrimage, our journey from earth to glory.

  67. And I'm like, Brother David, we're going somewhere.

  68. I said, we're going somewhere tonight.

  69. Amen. Even though a person could be spirit-filled or water-baptized,

  70. how many knows you can still become tired and weary, and the journey sometimes

  71. becomes too great for us. Can somebody say amen?

  72. Journey, sometimes life is hard, and the journey of life is hard.

  73. Do you know there are many Bible characters that express weariness?

  74. Psalms 31, 9-12, the psalmist said this, Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in trouble.

  75. Mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

  76. For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighings,

  77. my strength faileth because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

  78. I was a reproach among all mine enemies, especially among my neighbors,

  79. and A fear to mine acquaintance, for they that did see me without fled from me.

  80. Here's how they felt. They said, I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind.

  81. I am like a broken vessel. Sounded like somebody was having a bad day.

  82. Amen. Amen. 2 Corinthians 1 and 8, the Apostle Paul said, For we would not, brethren,

  83. have you ignorant of our trouble, which came to us in Asia, we were pressed

  84. out of measure, above strength,

  85. insomuch that we despaired even of life.

  86. You say, they're living for God. You're not supposed to. I'm going to tell you,

  87. we're still in our flesh and in our body, and we need strength for the journey

  88. because the journey is hard and the journey.

  89. And so let me say, don't feel bad if you're tired, if you're weak.

  90. And here you go. Let me point you to another one that got tired. His name was Jesus.

  91. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar,

  92. near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son, Joseph.

  93. Now, Jacob's well was there. Jesus, therefore, being wearied with his journey,

  94. sat thus on the well, and it was about the sixth hour.

  95. Sometimes we feel bad, but I want to tell you, God's people get tired sometimes.

  96. And you know what happens when you get tired? You get grumpy.

  97. Come on, somebody. And I'm going to I tell you, I've been grumpy all day. Praise the Lord.

  98. I didn't hear no amen back there. Maybe the glass stopped it, praise the Lord.

  99. But I've been grumpy today, and I don't want to be grumpy. But you know,

  100. we get tired. We get tired.

  101. And sometimes living for God and working for God and trying to do the right

  102. thing, sometimes it just seems like you're spinning your wheels,

  103. and you're just not going anywhere, and you're stuck in the mud.

  104. And Elijah got to feeling bad one day.

  105. He just had great victory. He just had a victory with the false prophets,

  106. and he's up on the mountaintop,

  107. and they called down fire, and they killed all the false prophets,

  108. and he should have been riding high, but the word got back to Jezebel,

  109. and Jezebel says, I'm going to kill him.

  110. So he went from riding high to fearing for his life, and we realized that he

  111. was, the Bible says he was between Beersheba and Mount Horeb.

  112. He was, you know, we are in our journey. We are in between the Holy Ghost.

  113. We got the Holy Ghost, but now we're on our way to heaven, and there's a little

  114. space of time in the middle there called the journey.

  115. The Bible says that Elijah was between Beersheba, which is the well of the oath

  116. or vow, and Mount Horeb, the mount of God.

  117. From the time he started living for God and work, living for God and working

  118. for God and doing God's will, he was between that place, that well,

  119. He was between that time that he took that vow and where he was going.

  120. You know, we're not there yet, but we're going to try to make it there,

  121. aren't we? We want to make it there. We're not there yet, but we want to get there.

  122. But the old songwriter said, everybody talking about heaven ain't going there.

  123. And he also, the songwriter said, everybody wants to go to heaven,

  124. but nobody wants to die. Isn't that the truth?

  125. So Elijah was discouraged. The Bible says that he went down.

  126. He took, he, now he went a day's journey into the wilderness and he sat down

  127. under a juniper a tree and he just said, Lord, let me die.

  128. I've done all I can do. Nobody else living for God. Nobody else cares. God is.

  129. Everybody else goofing off and nobody else cares and they're getting the promotion

  130. and you're wondering about what's going on and you get discouraged.

  131. I don't guess nobody in here has ever been discouraged before.

  132. Praise the Lord. But he said, Lord, just let me die. But I'm glad God knows when to give us a touch.

  133. I'm glad God knows when to send a touch, aren't you?

  134. Oh, let's raise our hand and say, Lord, we need a touch right now.

  135. Hallelujah. Lord, we need a touch right now. We need your presence, oh God.

  136. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. So in our journey, God provided for Elijah.

  137. And what God gave him lasted him 40 days and 40 nights, 40 full days.

  138. You see, I looked it up one time, and the journey from Beersheba to Horeb should

  139. have only been two or three days,

  140. but sometimes, but the Bible says he went on that 40 days, 40 days it took him to get down there.

  141. So like somebody said, have you ever been to St. Louis? You say,

  142. yeah, I spent a week there one day.

  143. Praise the Lord. You know, sometimes you're going from here to there and it

  144. just seems like you can't get there.

  145. It's taking you a lot longer to get where you want to go than you think it ought to take.

  146. We was driving to church the other morning. I told Sister Young,

  147. I said, man, it just seems like it's taking a long, oh, he's going to the mission today.

  148. And I said, man, it seems like it's taking a long time to get there today.

  149. Don't it seem like it takes longer to get there sometimes than other times?

  150. Sometimes you're going home, seems like you get there fast. Sometimes it takes forever.

  151. God provided two things. This is where I want to get to tonight.

  152. God provided two things to give Elijah's strength for the journey.

  153. And we need the two things that God gave Elijah for the journey,

  154. for his strength for the journey. Okay.

  155. The first thing he gave him was water in a cruise, little thing of water in

  156. a cruise. Now I looked up the word cruise.

  157. We don't know what a cruise was, different definitions.

  158. It's either a small cup or a little pitcher or a saucer.

  159. They're not really sure what exactly what it was. But I want to tell you,

  160. the vessel's not important.

  161. The important thing is that there was water in the vessel.

  162. The water is what makes the difference. I want to tell you, it doesn't matter

  163. who's singing as long as they got some Holy Ghost.

  164. Amen. Doesn't matter who's playing an instrument as long as there's some water in the cruise.

  165. Because we need anointed singing. We need anointed music.

  166. That's why I'm encouraging people to go to the prayer room. We don't want just

  167. singing. We want anointed singing. Come on, somebody.

  168. We don't want just preaching. We want anointed preaching.

  169. We want somebody that's got some water in the cruise because we get strength

  170. from the Holy Ghost. Praise the Lord.

  171. Amen. We don't want just a formula.

  172. We don't want just a cup or a little pretty little cup.

  173. We want to make sure we got something that's got

  174. some water in it and it's not by power not by might but by my spirit sayeth

  175. the Lord we need to drink of that Holy Ghost every time we get a chance praise

  176. the Lord that's why we need to be in church every time we can because we need to drink of.

  177. Got some water in it. Praise the Lord. You know, anointed preaching and anointed singing and anointed.

  178. Let me tell you, you know, if we don't take time to drink from that water,

  179. we're not going to have the strength.

  180. And let me say, we will not be effective if we are not anointed.

  181. Come on, somebody help me out here tonight.

  182. Amen. We need to be anointed. We need to make sure we are getting that water

  183. that Jesus said, if thou knewest the gift of God and who it is that sayeth to thee,

  184. give me to drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.

  185. I don't know about you, but I like that living water.

  186. I said I like the living water. I want to be where the well is springing up.

  187. Spring up, oh well. I want to see the water flow, and I want to see somebody like somebody.

  188. I'd like to see a Holy Ghost fire hose get turned on somebody tonight.

  189. And you know what happens if they hit you with a fire hose if they hit you with a fire hose.

  190. You're going to move amen that's

  191. why we need a move of the holy ghost praise the lord we come to church we don't

  192. just come to come we come to feel the lord we come to get a drink of living

  193. water praise the lord we come to get a move of the holy ghost praise god that's

  194. what i want don't you I said, that's what I come for.

  195. I want to get a drink of that living water. Hallelujah.

  196. I want to feel him. Praise God. Somebody said I was born in the fire and the smoke won't do.

  197. I want to feel some fire when I go to church, somebody said.

  198. You say, how can we get people to go to church? How can we attract people to

  199. our church? Somebody said, set the building on fire and everybody will come to check it out.

  200. Amen. That's why we need to be on fire for.

  201. Just about coming to church. It's not just about being here when we have service.

  202. It's about being on fire for God and being where the Spirit of the Lord is. Praise the Lord.

  203. Amen. And doing what we can to cultivate it.

  204. I said in doing what we can to cultivate it.

  205. Everybody in this church has a responsibility to pray before service and get

  206. anointed and bring you some water in your cruise.

  207. When you come to church, you're supposed to bring the water with you.

  208. I said you're supposed to bring the water with you. Pray, oh boy,

  209. how come it got so quiet on me? Hallelujah.

  210. Bring some water with you. Hallelujah. I said bring some water with you. Praise God.

  211. Praise God. Does anybody care about the loss tonight?

  212. Does anybody care about a move of the Holy Ghost that is the only thing that's

  213. going to break down the stronghold of the devil?

  214. Does anybody care tonight that people need to be saved?

  215. Does anybody care tonight that we need a move of the Holy Ghost?

  216. Does anybody care? Look at your neighbor and say, do you care?

  217. Do you care, praise the Lord? Do you care?

  218. Praise the Lord. Sir, I don't have anything to draw with. The well is deep.

  219. From whence hast thou that live in water?

  220. Jesus said, whoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again.

  221. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I give him shall never thirst.

  222. But the water that I give him shall be a well of water springing up into everlasting

  223. life. I want to see a well of water springing up.

  224. Praise the Lord. I want to see a cruise.

  225. I need a drink of water every now and then.

  226. And you know, there's nothing that satisfies like a good drink of water.

  227. I like my Diet Coke. You go in the house, I probably got one sitting upstairs

  228. in a bottle that's been sitting there.

  229. If the dog hadn't got a hold of it, it's sitting up there. And then there might

  230. be another with Speedway Cup down the stairs where I had some.

  231. But I want to tell you, when you're really hot and thirsty, and when you really

  232. need a drink, when you really need strength for your journey,

  233. There's nothing like a good old-fashioned drink of cold water.

  234. You know what I used to like when I was a kid? Turn the hose on.

  235. Turn that hose on, let that water run, and just drink out of that hose.

  236. There was something about the water that come out of that hose,

  237. something about the taste of that water.

  238. And I want to tell you, there's something about the taste of the Holy Ghost tonight.

  239. There's something about the Spirit of God that has a flavor to it that I like it. Hallelujah.

  240. And I want to feel it. I'm not playing games with God, I want to feel it. I want to see it move.

  241. I want it going up and down the aisles. I want it moving up and down the pews,

  242. praise him, or seats, whatever they are, praise him.

  243. Because, well, I'm talking about strength that, I'm talking about real strength

  244. for the journey now. I'm not selling you a patch to put on.

  245. I'm not selling you a CBD oil tonight.

  246. I'm not talking about a CBD oil or some kind of patch or some kind of lidocaine patch to put on.

  247. I'm talking about water. When you get a drink of it, it'll strengthen you for

  248. the journey. Praise the Lord.

  249. When you leave a church service after the Holy Ghost has moved,

  250. you know it has moved. and you feel that it has moved and you feel better than

  251. you did when you got there. Praise the Lord.

  252. And you feel like you might be able to go another day. You feel like you might

  253. just be able to do another day's journey.

  254. I'm glad God's got something for the journey. You see what God gives us works folks.

  255. When God gives you something to drink, drink it. Praise the Lord.

  256. Don't just, you know, you can let the old song say, this old saying goes,

  257. you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

  258. You know, you lead people and try to teach them about God and try,

  259. but you can't make them drink. If they're not thirsty, they're not going to drink.

  260. That little dog of mine, that little guy drinks more water than any little dog I've ever seen.

  261. And he was in there the other day and I was looking and he, we got one of them

  262. things, you fill it up and fill it up with water and then they drink and it

  263. kind of stays, their little bowl stays full, you know. Well,

  264. his little bowl was empty.

  265. And I noticed, I looked at him, I looked down through there and saw him in the

  266. kitchen and he had his paw and he was, he didn't know any better.

  267. He's trying to reach up under that thing and get some water to come out of there.

  268. He was clawing that plastic. Give me a drink. You know what we need?

  269. We need people on their face before God clawing at the dispenser saying,

  270. God, give me a drink of water.

  271. Give me some real water, God.

  272. Give me a move of the Holy Ghost, God.

  273. Thirsty. I'm thirsty. I'm thirsty. I'm getting tired. My journey,

  274. I'm getting weary, God, I need some water.

  275. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You can lead a horse to water,

  276. but you can't make him drink.

  277. You can get people in church service, but they ain't interested.

  278. They ain't going to reach for God.

  279. You can't do nothing about it. But I'll tell you what, I don't want to,

  280. I want to be around a group of people that's interested in getting a drink every

  281. now and then. Somebody says, fill me, Lord.

  282. Hallelujah. And I'm going to go back here again. I said this the other day.

  283. I don't know wife, and I'm going to say it again.

  284. Sister Young had a relative and they said they had never seen their husband

  285. pray. And they're supposed to be in church.

  286. I want to tell you, you're supposed to be in church and nobody ever sees you pray. You got a problem.

  287. Said there's a problem. I said there's a problem.

  288. You need to have a prayer life. I need to have a prayer life.

  289. And oh man, I'm glad my wife comes in here. I'll tell on her.

  290. She comes in and lays on that pew and she sets her timer and she sets her timer for an hour.

  291. And sometimes that timer goes off and she hits the snooze button. Hallelujah.

  292. And lays before the Lord a little bit longer. I'm glad my wife's praying.

  293. I'm glad I see her praying. I'm going to tell you what, She's seen me pray,

  294. and she watches me pray, and she told me the other day, you better pray.

  295. You're going to pray. You're going to pray. You're going to pray. You're going to pray.

  296. Have you prayed yet? Have you prayed yet? You know, you need to look at your

  297. neighbor and say, have they prayed? Have you prayed yet?

  298. Husbands, you need to be an example of prayer. Come on from work.

  299. Tired? Maybe if dinner's ready, go ahead and eat your dinner,

  300. and then go in there and say, I'm going to pray a little while.

  301. Go in the bedroom, lay before the Lord, Talk to God a little while.

  302. Then get up and argue. Hallelujah.

  303. Don't argue before you pray. Argue after you pray.

  304. Don't come home arguing right off the bat. Go pray a little bit first. Praise the Lord.

  305. And sisters, pray a little bit before your husband gets home from work.

  306. Don't jump on him if you haven't prayed.

  307. Go pray a little bit and then jump on him when he gets home.

  308. Praise the Lord. It'll go a little better.

  309. Come on somebody, it's crazy.

  310. Move of the Holy Ghost. You know, I'd like to see some of you shout every now and then.

  311. Something, do something. Hallelujah. Shake a hair bowl loose, do something.

  312. Brother Winters used to say, don't sit there just looking like a mule eating briars. Hallelujah.

  313. Praise God. Come into church and get in it. And let me say, now that you know

  314. the words, you can sing the words, praise the Lord.

  315. Amen. We don't want just the singers singing. We want everybody singing.

  316. We don't want them just worshiping. We're not here just to entertain.

  317. We're here to entertain the presence of God. We want everybody singing. Come on, somebody.

  318. We want everybody digging the well, everybody reaching for God.

  319. Everybody saying, pour it on us, Lord. We need the rain, Lord.

  320. We need the rain. We need the rain. Hallelujah.

  321. I'm going to pastor you for a little while. Is it okay? I'm going to be the

  322. pastor. There's people in this church tonight, I have never seen you pray.

  323. I have never seen you kneeling down and pray.

  324. Know what I'm saying? If we're going to have revival, we're going to have to

  325. break some spirits here that just go.

  326. You know, people got their own little mind and they do what they want to do.

  327. But I want to tell you, we can't have revival with people doing what they want

  328. to do and not being concerned about what God wants us to do.

  329. Come on, somebody. I'm going to preach tonight. Hallelujah.

  330. Praise the Lord. I got me a suit on that fits and I don't have to worry about

  331. the pants falling down if the suspenders break. Praise the Lord.

  332. Come on, somebody. God wants a church full of fire. God wants a church where the water is flowing.

  333. God wants a church that's effective.

  334. He wants people in the church that are on fire and drinking out of that well

  335. every chance they get, not only drinking, but cultivated digging a well.

  336. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on, somebody. Come on, somebody.

  337. Let me preach just a while.

  338. Hey, man, I'm going to preach for a while. Don't just sit out there on your phone before service.

  339. Get in there and find a place to pray a little bit. Get out on your knees just

  340. a minute and say, God, help us have a good service.

  341. God, help us, Lord. Help us.

  342. Come on, somebody, this stuff's real.

  343. It's not a play thing. This is not just something that takes nonchalantly.

  344. This is something God wants to give us revival. Praise the Lord.

  345. I said God wants to pour out that spirit.

  346. Amen. He wants to pour out the Holy Ghost on this neighborhood and this city

  347. and this neighbor and this area.

  348. And we got to cultivate it. We got to say, God, we need you.

  349. We got to call on him. Come on, somebody. We got to call on him together.

  350. That's willing to do whatever they can for their church to have revival. Praise the Lord.

  351. They're willing to get there early. They're willing to practice.

  352. They're willing to pray. They're willing to do whatever they can.

  353. Come on, somebody help me out tonight.

  354. Hallelujah. Nothing more discouraging than thinking you're the only one that cares.

  355. If I had a crew of workers and I had a company and I was only,

  356. and I go there and I want to do a good job.

  357. And I had a crew that didn't care whether the, you know, you know,

  358. if you got a good employee and he's supposed to pick up the brush, he'll tie, he'll get it.

  359. Isn't that right, brother? He'll get the brush. You don't have to worry about

  360. it. Then there's those other employees. I got it.

  361. You got it. Yeah, I got the brush. Well, what's all that stuff laying over? I didn't see that.

  362. Come on, come on. It's one you have to get them to go all the time.

  363. Come on, get that done. Come on.

  364. It's like I told somebody the other day, they were putting a roof on the house

  365. my house years ago and there was a bunch of guys out front a spanish man of

  366. course and they were out there to and they was all out there cutting up and,

  367. they had a couple vans and they was laughing and poking

  368. each other and then i saw this big dually truck

  369. come around the corner with little horns on it you know and i

  370. and they looked down the street and saw that dually truck coming they started

  371. scattering they started getting ladders out of the truck

  372. they started getting scaffolds out and they was getting nail guns out because

  373. they saw the ball you know what we need to do when we come to church we

  374. need to get the scaffolds out of the van hallelujah we need to get the nailers

  375. out praise the lord get on everybody get lined up together and say let's get

  376. this train rolling praise god let's get this place on fire let's get some fire

  377. and water flowing up and down these aisles praise the lord.

  378. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That's what we got to have. We got to have it.

  379. Because now I said this, I'm gonna go back and say it again.

  380. What I'm talking about, what God gave Elijah, God sent the angel and he gave

  381. him two doses of it, drink and eat. And he drank the water.

  382. God, what God gives us really works. He's not just giving us a Tylenol to hide the pain.

  383. He's not just giving us something just to get us through. If he tells us this

  384. water will be in you a well of living water, that water will carry you through

  385. from the day you get the Holy Ghost till you go through the pearly gates. Amen.

  386. Long as you cultivate that well and keep that water full, it'll take you all the way through.

  387. Your journey might be hard. You might get tired. You might not think you're going to make it.

  388. But if you go back and get another drink of that well, get another drink of

  389. that Holy Ghost, you're going to say, I can make it. I can go a little further.

  390. Sister Cox, how long you had the Holy Ghost? Round numbers.

  391. Since 1965. Come on, some math wizard, figure that out for me. About 60 years, I think.

  392. 60 years. You ever had any hard times, Sister Cox? You ever been having time

  393. troubles? You ever get tired on your journey?

  394. Did you ever go to church and get a little water that I'm talking about tonight?

  395. Yeah, pour it on her, God. Give her another drink, God.

  396. Take her through it a little further, God. Help her, give her that strength

  397. for the journey. Give her that real strength.

  398. 27 from 92, help me out. Come on, Jimmy, don't shake your head,

  399. figure it out. Not me, I don't want to.

  400. How many? 65 years, Sister Matthews, you ever had any hard days?

  401. You ever had any troubles? You ever get tired?

  402. And coming there felt like you couldn't make it another day.

  403. But when you left there, there was a song in your heart and a pep in your step

  404. because you drank of that living water.

  405. Woo! Hallelujah.

  406. Woo! Going to Walmart, going to the mall, going to work, coming home,

  407. dealing with crazy kids, dealing with grandkids, dealing with people.

  408. Hallelujah. We get tired. We get tired, but the Bible says there was a cake,

  409. bacon on the coals, and a cruise of water, and he did eat and drink.

  410. So we got the water. One more scripture. In the last day, the great day of the

  411. feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.

  412. Believeth on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

  413. Let's raise our hands right now, just a minute.

  414. Say, God, let that water flow out of our belly.

  415. Oh, God, let us have that living water flowing. Help us cultivate it, God.

  416. Help us cut out anything, oh God, that's not like you, and keeping that well stopped up, oh God.

  417. Hallelujah. And then the Bible says he gave him a cake baked on the coals,

  418. fresh bread baked on hot stones.

  419. Baked in the hearth, which is likened to the preached word of God, not just a sermon,

  420. not just a speaker, but a cake baked in the hearth of prayer,

  421. anointed with the fire from the altar, a preacher with fire in his belly,

  422. a preacher preaching Christ and him crucified, somebody preaching about the

  423. bread of life. Come on, somebody.

  424. Oh, yeah, we don't need just another sermon. Come on, preacher.

  425. I'm preaching to me now, but I'm going to tell you, you don't need just another sermon.

  426. You don't need just another fancy, what is them waffle cake things,

  427. them things that they're like rice, they're little Rice Krispie,

  428. not Rice Krispie, a Rice Krispie treat. Ain't much to it.

  429. Just you bite into that thing, and it just tastes like nothing.

  430. I don't want to go to church and hear a sermon. I don't want to go to church

  431. and just hear somebody monotone reading the Bible.

  432. I don't want to go to church and just somebody going through the motion and

  433. just giving a little sermonette.

  434. You know, I want to hear somebody that's got a message that's been baking on the coal. Hallelujah.

  435. I want to hear somebody preaching something that's on fire from God, something that's.

  436. Her hands. Say, God, anoint our pastor, Lord.

  437. Come on, help pray for me right now. I don't want to just be a preacher that

  438. gives that little pasted notes and just does little things. I want to be on fire.

  439. I want a cake baked on the coals. Hallelujah.

  440. I want to bring something fresh out of the oven. Praise God.

  441. I want to bring something that's baked in the hearth of the Holy Ghost.

  442. I want something going out over this pulpit.

  443. Praise the Lord. It's on fire. And it was,

  444. Hallelujah. Jesus said, I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna

  445. in the wilderness and are dead.

  446. You know, this world's offering a lot of things to eat. You know,

  447. people go to movies and how long is that movie anyway? Two hours.

  448. How long? How long? How long? Hey, man, they spend a lot of time eating a lot

  449. of stuff. The world's got all kinds of stuff.

  450. Podcasts, chat GBT or BGT or whatever it is.

  451. CHAT, what is it, CHAT, GT, GPT?

  452. What's that stand for? Never mind, I don't care. I was gonna say,

  453. what's that stand for? But folks, we spend a lot of time, we spend a lot of time doing a lot of work.

  454. Snickers and spiritual buttercups. Praise the Lord. Not buttercups.

  455. That ain't the right word.

  456. Not a Reese cup. No. Butterfinger. Oh, I had a Butterfinger the other night.

  457. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

  458. It was good. But you know what? We need to hear some preaching.

  459. We need to care about hearing preaching. We ought to turn some preaching on every now and then.

  460. Praise the Lord. Turn off the YouTube. If somebody's talking about something

  461. and find you an apostolic preacher that's on fire from God.

  462. Got something that come from the Holy Ghost preaching into your soul, praise the Lord.

  463. Put something in your bones, something that'll help you make it along the way, praise God.

  464. Because this other stuff that we spend a lot of time on

  465. and this other stuff we spend all of our time thinking about and

  466. doing it's not going to give us strength matter of fact

  467. it's going to take away our strength it's going

  468. to pull our strength from us and it pulls our strength from us the world the

  469. life pulls our strength we need to be in service we need let me throw this in

  470. we need to go to church we need to go to some extra church we need to go to

  471. a meeting here and a meeting there.

  472. We don't need to just be solitude back in the corner and think that just going

  473. to church every once in a while is going to do the trip.

  474. You know, the old timers, they went to church. When somebody else was having

  475. church, they went to church there, and somebody else having church,

  476. they went to church there.

  477. Why? Because they were willing and wanting to drink from that cruise of water

  478. and get a cake baked on the coal because they knew they needed strength to make it.

  479. I need it. I want it, don't you? I am the living bread which came down from

  480. heaven. Any man eat this bread, he will live forever.

  481. You know, this world gives you a lot of stuff to chew on.

  482. Podcast, radio, all kinds of stuff.

  483. You can spend your time on it. Praise the Lord. But it won't take you through the journey.

  484. It won't be there when the journey gets real tough. I said it won't be there,

  485. I used to drive a lot And I'd listen to talk radio And I used to love Rush Limbaugh

  486. I used to love to listen to Rush But I'm going to tell you what There's times

  487. in life Rush couldn't do me no good There's things come in life Rush not going

  488. to help me Rush don't even know who I am really,

  489. You know I could spend a lot of time following the Colts And following basketball

  490. And following NBA, WNBA, NASCAR, CBA do-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-do, whatever.

  491. Number 18, and the number 18 don't know my name. And number 18,

  492. I'm going to do a thing for me when I hit them troubled waters.

  493. And when I have trouble, and when my soul is vexed, and I don't think I can

  494. go any further, I don't know number 18's number, but I know Jesus's number. Hallelujah.

  495. And I know where I can get a drink of living water, and I know where I can get

  496. a cake baked on the coal. And it's going to give me strength to get up and keep going.

  497. I said strength to get up and keep going hallelujah god gives us strength the

  498. real the real he gives us something that's got nutritional value.

  499. He needs, he didn't. Now notice, the angel didn't say, wake up, Elijah.

  500. Here's your big old wad of cotton candy.

  501. Here's your some blue cotton candy, Elijah. And here's your big thing of Jack Daniel's.

  502. Cotton candy and Jack Daniel's. Notice, he didn't give him that.

  503. He gave him something really simple.

  504. He gave him water in the cruise that came from God, and he give him cakes that

  505. had baked on the cove, supernaturally delivered.

  506. I want to tell you, when God comes in the room, it's a supernatural delivery.

  507. Praise the Lord. It is Uber on steroids. Praise the Lord. You talk about Grubhub.

  508. I want a spiritual Grubhub. Praise the Lord. I want the Holy Ghost to pull in,

  509. honk that horn and say, your meal has been delivered.

  510. Praise the Lord. And get excited about it. Praise the Lord.

  511. Not delivering my McDonald's. You know, that's expensive.

  512. I got neighbors, man. I look down there and all the time, I'm nosy.

  513. You're not nosy, but I'm nosy. And me and Luke's out in the front yard and I'm

  514. waiting on him to run around.

  515. And I look down there and somebody pulls up there at the house and somebody

  516. gets out and takes a little bag and takes it up there.

  517. Next day or two, next day, somebody pulls up there and drops another little

  518. grub hub or, you know, what we need is some angels dropping off some cakes baked

  519. under fire and some cruises of water, praise the Lord.

  520. That's what we need. We need a spiritual grub hub, praise the Lord.

  521. We need a spiritual meal on wheels, praise God. We need a spiritual Uber delivery service, praise God.

  522. Bringing in a big pan of cakes baked on the fire, praise God.

  523. Bringing in a bunch of biscuits, hallelujah. That's hot buttered Holy Ghost, praise the Lord.

  524. Sitting there on the tray saying, dig into these because this is what's really gonna help you.

  525. This is what's really gonna take you through. Yeah, I,

  526. Anybody need strength for the journey tonight as the music comes?

  527. You can come up to this altar tonight. If you don't have the Holy Ghost,

  528. you know what you need? You need to get the Holy Ghost. You need the Holy Ghost.

  529. The Bible says that Isaiah was in the presence of the Lord and says,

  530. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand,

  531. which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.

  532. And he laid it upon my mouth and said, Lo, this has touched thy lips,

  533. and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin is purged.

  534. We need a cake baked on the cove.

  535. We need to hear from God. We need anointed, apostolic, Holy Ghost fire preaching. Praise the Lord.

  536. Preach sin out of our life. Preach the world out of our life.

  537. Preach the Holy Ghost into our life. Praise God. preach it

  538. straight do whatever needs to be done because we want

  539. something that's gonna help somebody we want

  540. to be a church that helps somebody hey man

  541. we want to be a church that helps somebody get saved and get right with God

  542. praise the Lord that's what it's all about being able there's people that come

  543. in this place I guarantee you some of the people we deal with people are hopeless

  544. and people are helpless and they just feel like the journey they have given up on life when they come.

  545. Fine. Maybe I need Jesus. Maybe that's what I need.

  546. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Anybody want to pray tonight?

  547. Anybody say, Lord, I'm getting a little dry. Lord, I need a little bit more water tonight.

  548. I'm just a small cup, Lord. I'm just a little saucer. I'm not a big pitcher.

  549. Nobody knows my name, but you can fill me with your water. You can put your

  550. spirit in me tonight and help me, Lord, give me strength for the journey.

  551. God, give me a word that comes from you, God. Give me preaching, Lord.

  552. Give our church preaching that is Holy Ghost fire. Hallelujah.

  553. Bake on the coals of love and fire and anointing that reaches into the heart

  554. of men, women, and children and gets them to a place where they realize they

  555. need to feel God and they want God and they can have God and all of the above.

  556. Hallelujah. Go ahead and start a song.

  557. Anybody want to raise your hands with me right now? Say, God,

  558. help us help us apostolic church. Be on fire.
