  1. Welcome to the Southwest Apostolic Church podcast.

  2. This podcast is brought to you by the Southwest Apostolic Church,

  3. located at 3161 South Rowena Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46241.

  4. The podcast will feature preaching

  5. from our pastor and from other ministers, so we hope you enjoy it.

  6. Without further ado let's get right into it god bless.

  7. Hallelujah hallelujah praise god he's still everything i need amen i said he's

  8. still everything amen it's funny thing about music when they're playing that

  9. song and that's they just start repeating that he's still everything i need

  10. and you get feeling that Brother Rob,

  11. you get the twang in that twanger, man.

  12. I really, you know, when that note comes across there, he's still everything I need.

  13. He's still everything I need.

  14. He's still everything I need. Woo. Praise the Lord. He's still everything I need.

  15. I'm not looking for another. Praise the Lord.

  16. He's still everything I need.

  17. Everything I need.

  18. Woo. Praise God. We never did take an offering, did we? Did we? We did?

  19. Oh, wow. I must have been caught up in twanging over there, praise the Lord.

  20. Hey, man, it feels good to be in church tonight, don't it?

  21. Lord, I want to encourage you all. We felt good tonight and had a couple of men over there.

  22. Men, let's start going for service. Let's start going over there in the fellowship hall.

  23. Somebody say, man, ladies can use the prayer room. And I want to tell you,

  24. it'll make all the difference in our services.

  25. I said, it makes all the difference in our service. Just a few people in the prayer room.

  26. You can feel the liberty that God sends by just a few people praying before service.

  27. Now, just think what would happen if we all really got down to business.

  28. Amen. God's good. Isn't he good? So I'm just encouraging you tonight. Praise the Lord.

  29. I'm just encouraging us all to have prayer before service. Pray at home, of course.

  30. But remember, before service, especially when you can. I know you always can't

  31. do everything, but let's do what we can while we can. Amen?

  32. Amen. I have a little thought on my heart tonight, and I hope I won't keep you

  33. too long. Praise the Lord. Remember, Grief Share tomorrow.

  34. If you're able to come, come back us up. Back up, Sister Young.

  35. I appreciate her wanting to do this, and it helps that people,

  36. I believe, and, you know, it's just something people need help with sometimes,

  37. and sometimes we lock it away. We don't like to talk about things,

  38. but the idea is to get you to talk about it.

  39. You know, I found out, and I'm learning. I'm more open now than I ever have been, I think.

  40. I never was a talker. I never was a person that talked about,

  41. you know, even in marriage, it's kind of hard sometimes if you're not a talker

  42. to communicate like you want to, like you should.

  43. Somebody say, man, but I'm doing better. I feel like I'm doing better,

  44. but I want to be what I need to be. Don't you?

  45. I want to be what I need to be. Praise the Lord.

  46. Amen. If you have a Bible tonight, I appreciate you being here.

  47. Appreciate this church and just the good people.

  48. And the Lord had something on my heart tonight.

  49. I've been thinking about it for the last couple of days.

  50. And we'll see if the Lord helps us. Sister Young, punch you up.

  51. Let's see. Where do I want to start?

  52. Praise the Lord. Punch in the Jude.

  53. It should be a Jude 1 and 2. If not, we'll read it. But I thought I would put it in there.

  54. We're still getting our bugs worked out on our technology.

  55. But we can look it up real quick. If I didn't put it on there,

  56. I might not have added that when I was.

  57. Technology is amazing when it works. You know what? When it works,

  58. it's fantastic. Praise the Lord.

  59. Amen. Let's see. What did I write down? 1 and 2.

  60. Jude 1 and 2. Amen.

  61. Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied.

  62. And then if you go on down, verse 21,

  63. he says, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord

  64. Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

  65. And my little thought tonight is, I'm going to look at Sister Young.

  66. Go ahead and get ready to punch in Luke, I think it is, Luke 10. We'll start there.

  67. But I want to preach tonight about the greatest thing we could do.

  68. The greatest thing we could do. Let's pray. Jesus, we love you tonight.

  69. Thank you for your goodness. We ask you to help us with your word.

  70. We give you all the praise, give you all the honor tonight.

  71. We look to you, Jesus. Jesus, give us strength tonight in all that we do,

  72. praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

  73. You may be seated. Everybody wants to be great. We want our church to be great.

  74. We want our families to be great.

  75. We want our kids to be great. Our kids are great, aren't they?

  76. You know, your kids...

  77. Sometimes people, well, never mind.

  78. Started to say sometimes some people, well, never mind.

  79. I just, praise the Lord.

  80. Everybody wants greatness. We want greatness. We want our kids to be great.

  81. We want everything to be great.

  82. Great defined is of an extent. it's an amount or intensity considerably above the normal or average.

  83. We want our lives to be above normal. We want our lives to be above average.

  84. We want to have a certain abilities above just the average or in amount and

  85. of ability, a quality or an eminence considerably above the normal or average.

  86. So we want ability above average. We want,

  87. Intensity, we want things to be better. Synonym would be excellent,

  88. wonderful, terrible, awesome, fantastic.

  89. The opposites would be little, minor, you know, small.

  90. But we're not interested in that tonight. We want to look at the greatest thing we could do.

  91. What's the greatest thing I could do? Sister Young, give me Mark 12, I think.

  92. Mark 12, 28, that one might be in there.

  93. If not, I'll read it to you because I've got it here.

  94. Praise the Lord. One of the scribes came, having heard them reasoning together.

  95. Now, really, if you look at this and look at the other gospels.

  96. Jesus, I think one of the gospels said, Jesus had just put somebody straight,

  97. setting somebody straight, and the other people come along.

  98. And perceiving that he had answered them well, they liked what his answer was when he was talking.

  99. This is the scribe. So if I remember, it's probably the Pharisees that he answered

  100. well. And he said, which is the first commandment of all? Go ahead, hon.

  101. And Jesus answered him. He said, the first of all the commandments is,

  102. hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.

  103. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul,

  104. with all thy mind, with all thy strength.

  105. This is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this,

  106. thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater,

  107. back up a little bit now, slow down on me.

  108. And there's none other commandment greater than these.

  109. And the greatest thing we can do is keep ourselves in the love of God.

  110. Keep ourselves in the love of God.

  111. The greatest thing, Jesus lets us know that all the commandments in Matthew

  112. 22, it brings that out also, that the greatest thing we can do is,

  113. He said, what can I do to inherit eternal life? And he said, keep the commandments.

  114. And he said, this I've done. And Jesus said, then you'll live.

  115. The greatest thing that we have to offer is our love.

  116. You know, now I'm not talking about a cheap love.

  117. I'm talking about the real love of God. And I don't know why this is on my heart,

  118. but I just feel that tonight. We need to love each other.

  119. I said, we need to love each other.

  120. I said, we need to really, I'm talking about really loving each other.

  121. And also, not just each other.

  122. Now, Jesus said, by this shall all men know that you're my disciples,

  123. by your love one to another.

  124. But I'm not necessarily talking about just that, because Jesus,

  125. in another place, he said, love your enemies.

  126. The greatest thing the church has to offer to the world and the greatest thing

  127. we have to offer to each other and the greatest thing we have to offer to God

  128. is to love God, love each other, and love our enemies and let the love of God continue in our lives.

  129. Praise the Lord. Let brotherly love continue, the Bible says.

  130. Sister, I don't know if I put that on there. Did I have the Corinthians on there?

  131. If I did, just put that one on there for me.

  132. But, you know, the world sings about love. They talk about love.

  133. Baby, I love you, sweet darling. Oh, you're my everything.

  134. You know, I love you, darling. I love you.

  135. Six months later, they're gone. But the greatest thing that the church has to

  136. offer tonight, I feel this, and I don't know if we'll shout,

  137. run, whatever, but we need to let love of God flow.

  138. Love needs to flow. I said love needs to flow.

  139. Love needs to flow from the top to the bottom, from the youngest to the oldest.

  140. We need to let the love of God flow in our services, flow one to another, flow to our enemies.

  141. Of God. The world, the songwriter said a while back, what the world needs now is love.

  142. I said, what the world needs now is love, real love.

  143. You know, there's something about it.

  144. You know, I said it before, when a man loves a woman, can't keep his mind on

  145. nothing else, the songwriter said.

  146. There's something about, let's look at this tonight, because I just feel this. I love you.

  147. I love my, you know, some people can't say that.

  148. You ever, I love you, man. Mm-hmm.

  149. You ever had that? I'm sure you've had that happen, ain't you? I love you. Mm-hmm.

  150. Or, yeah. You know, it's all right to tell somebody you love them every now and then.

  151. I said it's all right to tell somebody you love them now and then.

  152. I think Sister Young, I don't remember what the exact circumstance,

  153. she either said, I love you, and I said, I love you back, or I said,

  154. I love you, and she said, I love you back, and Lily said, wait a minute,

  155. it shocked her, she's 13 years old, she said, do you guys still tell each other

  156. you love each other, I think we need to tell each other we love each other,

  157. amen, I think we need to show each other we love each other,

  158. and I thought about this today, too, I appreciate those around here that work for each other,

  159. I appreciate those that helped Sister Matthews out.

  160. I appreciate those that helped Brother David out, got a water pump put on his

  161. truck the other day, and all those that helped each other. You know,

  162. we need to love each other, folks.

  163. That's the greatest thing we can do is love each other. We can't do anything

  164. greater than that. We can't do anything.

  165. We can't accomplish anything other than letting the real, true love of God flow out of our hearts.

  166. Praise God. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

  167. That's how we know that we love God and we love each other, was when we show

  168. the love of God, especially to a lost and dying world.

  169. The greatest thing we could do.

  170. The most excellent thing we could do, the most wonderful thing we could do,

  171. the most awesome thing we could do, the most fantastic thing we could do is

  172. get to a place where the love of God just comes out of us, praise God. We just love people.

  173. We love God and we love people. There's something about loving people.

  174. God loves people. When you read the Old Testament, we've been going through it a little bit.

  175. Those people were hard-headed, and God got aggravated a couple times,

  176. we've been talking about. But you know what?

  177. Moses talked to God all the time, and he said, the people, the people,

  178. the people. You know what God's interested in? People.

  179. He's not interested in how big a building we can have. He's not interested in

  180. the greatest thing we can do is not build a big castle to God.

  181. Greatest thing we could do is not build some big campus, you know,

  182. for ourselves, which is all right if you can and if God leads that way.

  183. But what I'm saying is what God really wants is for his love to be going up

  184. and down the aisle, his love to be with us when we go to the grocery store,

  185. his love being shown by us everywhere we go and everything we do.

  186. Let the love of God move in your heart. Praise God. Don't be stubborn and don't

  187. be hard-headed and don't be one of those mm-hmm if somebody says I love you.

  188. You need to practice that.

  189. Practice it. I love you. I love you. I love you. Look at your neighbor and tell

  190. them you love them. Come on. Come on.

  191. I love you guys. I love you, man. I love my wife. I love my grandkids. I love my children.

  192. I love those people down at the mission. I just love everybody.

  193. I'm going to be honest with you.

  194. I don't have any enemies as far as I know. I don't want any, and I don't have any.

  195. But if I did have them, I'd love them, praise the Lord, because the Bible tells me to love them.

  196. Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. I'm not talking about some superficial, I love you.

  197. Sometimes the world uses that word so much it's cheap, but I'm not talking about that.

  198. I'm talking about the real love of God.

  199. There's three or four, there's more than that words that are translated love in the New Testament.

  200. One of them is eros. That's where we get our word erotic love.

  201. That's a because of love.

  202. That's a love that says, ooh, I'm in love.

  203. You know, when the girl sees the guy walk in, he comes to dress the church.

  204. She's about 20 or 16, and he walks in. He's about 19, got his hair slicked back,

  205. and he walks around the corner, and she says, ooh, I'm in love.

  206. You know, it goes both ways, same way. Young man sees some beautiful young sanctified

  207. Holy Ghost girl come around the corner, and he says, ooh, who is that? I'm in love.

  208. That's because of love. You love them because they're pretty,

  209. or you love him because he's good looking.

  210. Some people love you because you got a lot of money. Praise the Lord.

  211. I teach Sister Young about a car I had when we first got together.

  212. I said, yeah, you just like me because of that red Ford Gran Torino I used to have.

  213. She hated that car, she said.

  214. But that's a because of love. But the only problem about a because of love is

  215. that young man that's 19 years old, he's six foot tall, he weighs about 200.

  216. Well, you love him, you get married to him. Next thing you know,

  217. he starts sitting on the couch a little more and he becomes a little more couch potato-ish.

  218. Next thing you know, after 10 years, he might have shrunk an inch. Now he's five foot 11.

  219. And now he weighs, instead of 200, he weighs 260.

  220. And you look at him and, oh, man, you know, you don't have that spark. You don't have that.

  221. You see, a relationship can't be based on just how pretty somebody is.

  222. You got to have a deeper love than that.

  223. Praise the Lord. You got to have something deeper than just a because of love.

  224. And you don't love somebody just for what they can give you or what they can do for you.

  225. You know, there's another word brotherly love. Philos love is just a brotherly

  226. love. I love you, brother. I love you, man.

  227. Hey, man, can you help me go? I ain't got, help me change my flat.

  228. I love you, man, but I ain't got time.

  229. I love you, brother. You're my brother. You're my friend. Let's call you on the phone.

  230. Man, I need a ride. Can you give me a ride, man? I ain't got time to give you

  231. a ride. I love you, but I ain't got time. You know, they really do love them,

  232. but they ain't really giving of themselves.

  233. So there's a philos, a brotherly love. There's an eros. There's a because of love.

  234. There's one or two more that I can't think of, but the one I want to talk about

  235. tonight is the agape love.

  236. It's called the love of God. It's translated. Can you put that back up there,

  237. Sister? It's translated charity. It's a love.

  238. It's a love. It's a because. It's not the because of love. It's an in spite of love.

  239. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

  240. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.

  241. He loved us so much while we were yet sinners, not because we were pretty.

  242. And I'm going to tell you, we're not in the church tonight because we're smart.

  243. We're not in the church tonight because of how great we are.

  244. We're in the church tonight because of his great love for us.

  245. Amen. And there is a church. There's a way to be saved, and it's by the grace and the love of God.

  246. God loves us. I said he loves us. It's like a mother love. They love their children.

  247. That's my boy. That's my girl. I love him. Yeah, he got in trouble.

  248. He's a scoundrel sometimes, but I just love him.

  249. I love him because he's mine.

  250. Amen. and that's how God loves you. I want you to know tonight,

  251. God loves you, but I want you to know, if we don't have the love of God,

  252. we're operating in small territory.

  253. We're operating in minor territory. We could have the biggest building in the

  254. world, but if we don't have love,

  255. Paul said it like this, though I speak, listen to this,

  256. you know, though I speak with tongues of men of angels, and have not charity,

  257. I am become as a sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. Go ahead.

  258. Have you got your Amplified Bible with you, Chad? No? Oh, man.

  259. But I wanted to quote that verse.

  260. Nothing. And the Amplified says, I am a useless nobody.

  261. The greatest thing we can do, folks, is to work and operate in the love of God. Love each other.

  262. Love the world. Love the sinner.

  263. Let the love of God flow in our midst.

  264. Let the love of God do what God wants us to do. Praise the Lord.

  265. Gift of prophecy. You know, they call theirself a prophet.

  266. They call theirself an apostle, but in their heart, they're not loving anybody.

  267. Paul's saying, I don't care if you have the gift of prophecy.

  268. You might think you're great because you're a prophet, but I'm going to tell you something.

  269. You might understand all mysteries.

  270. Oh, yeah. Well, what's that? Tell me about Melchizedek. Well,

  271. I know all about Melchizedek. I can tell you all about it.

  272. You might have all knowledge. You might be a brainiac. You might have all faith.

  273. I got so much faith, I can say, Lord, let that pulpit levitate in the air. That thing levitates.

  274. No, don't get carried away now.

  275. Then I can remove mountains. Jesus said that, didn't he? Yeah.

  276. I am nothing. Go ahead now, Sister Young. Thank you. And I give everything I've got to feed the poor.

  277. How great am I? He's so great.

  278. You know, they crack me up. You read a news story sometimes about some star

  279. or somebody's worth hundreds of millions of dollars and they'll donate 25,000

  280. or donate 50,000 or maybe even a hundred thousand.

  281. And they make it up like they're so they're so great because they gave somebody something.

  282. And I am a martyr.

  283. I gave my body to be burned. They burnt me at the stake.

  284. You see, I don't care. Paul's letting us know. I don't care how many mysteries you know. I don't care.

  285. That don't make you great. It doesn't make you great if you can prophesy.

  286. It doesn't make you great if you can talk in tongues. What makes you great is.

  287. Have not charity. It profits me nothing.

  288. Let's raise our hands right now and say, God, help us love, Lord.

  289. God, let us have the love of God shed abroad in our hearts. God,

  290. move in our hearts to really feel the real genuine love, Lord.

  291. Love those that are lost. Love our family. Love our family. Love our enemies.

  292. God, let us just love. Let us operate in this,

  293. what you're telling us here tonight God let it flow

  294. out of us God let us do the greatest thing we could do

  295. the greatest thing we could do the

  296. greatest commandments love God love your neighbor as yourself everything Jesus

  297. said everything in the law and the prophets hinge on these two commandments

  298. loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself you can't do any better than

  299. that You can't be any greater than that.

  300. Go ahead and give us the next scripture, sister, huh? And then he starts telling

  301. us what it really means to love somebody.

  302. Charity suffers long, long suffering. They put up. You love your kids, you put up with them.

  303. You love your husband, you put up with him.

  304. I should have heard an amen somewhere on there, praise the Lord.

  305. You love somebody, you put up with them.

  306. You just love them and you're kind.

  307. People ought to be kind. They ought to be the kindest people in the world.

  308. They ought to be kind to people.

  309. Thank you, please. How you doing today? You doing all right?

  310. Not all grumpy and ugly, mean, and get out of the way. Honk,

  311. honk, get on down the road.

  312. But we're kind. Come on, somebody. I'm talking about the greatest thing we can do.

  313. I'm talking about being great in the eyes of God, great in the eyes of the King of Kings.

  314. And it's by loving somebody and showing them the love of God and operating in

  315. the love of God. It's the greatest thing we could do.

  316. We don't have anything greater to offer than our love.

  317. Charities envieth not, it's not jealous. Doesn't get mad if you get blessings.

  318. You get a new car, I'm not going to be jealous. I hope you get a good one.

  319. I'm not going to be mad if you get a good job, make more money than I ever did.

  320. I'm not going to be jealous. I love you. I want to see you do good. Come on, somebody.

  321. That's the way it is with the Lord. He wants to do good things for us.

  322. He loves us. He wants us to prosper.

  323. He don't want us to be jealous of each other.

  324. Got a better looking suit than yours?

  325. Itself. It's not puffed up. It don't go around walking around acting like it's somebody.

  326. Next, don't behave itself unsteemly. Seeketh not her own.

  327. You know why Moses, this morning we talked about that. The writer brought that out in our lesson.

  328. Moses wasn't leading those people for his own namesake.

  329. He wasn't doing it because it'd make itself a name. He was doing it because

  330. God called him to do it, and he loved those people.

  331. I said he loved those people. He put up with those people. He interceded for those people to God.

  332. When you love somebody, you'll pray for them. Don't tell me how much you love

  333. somebody if you're not praying for them. Come on, somebody.

  334. The greatest thing you can do is pray for somebody, intercede for somebody,

  335. because you love them, and you don't want them to be lost. You love them.

  336. Not easily provoked. Doesn't just fly off the handle because somebody does something

  337. to make you a little uncomfortable or provoke you a little bit,

  338. you know, but when you love somebody, you're not easily provoked.

  339. And I like this next one. When you love somebody, you don't think evil about

  340. them. You're thinking good. You think good about them.

  341. I'll never forget when I first got to the Holy Ghost. Now, I can't remember

  342. how I knew or how I found out or understood it to be, but I knew that somehow

  343. these two people, I can't even remember who it was.

  344. I just remember the instance that I knew there was a problem there somewhere.

  345. I'd heard that or something, you know how you hear things. And I remember having

  346. just got the Holy Ghost not too long ago. And I saw those two people talking

  347. to each other back there in the corner. And you know what I thought?

  348. I didn't think, oh boy, it's about ready to rumble back there.

  349. About ready to bust loose back there. You know what I thought?

  350. I can remember just as innocent and full of the Holy Ghost. You know how it

  351. is when you first got the Holy Ghost?

  352. I looked back there and said, oh, they're making up in that great.

  353. That's what love thinks. I said, that's what love thinks. Love don't think evil about people.

  354. Love's not looking for an excuse to look down on them. Go ahead, Sister Young.

  355. It doesn't rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. Go ahead. It beareth all things.

  356. Puts up with some stuff, man. It carries a load. How many knows you love somebody,

  357. you'll carry a load for them.

  358. I said, you love somebody, you'll carry a load for them. Put up with them.

  359. Pay their car payments. Help them with their rent, whatever you got to do,

  360. your family, your children.

  361. Say, man, you know, it puts an extra load on your shoulder. Yeah,

  362. it puts a load on your shoulder, but you love them.

  363. You love your brothers. You love your sisters. You love your family.

  364. And you put up with them and they might put extra pressure on you.

  365. And you might say between yourselves, boy, that guy's getting on my last nerve.

  366. Putting it on me, but you know what? You keep on going because you love them.

  367. You keep on putting up with it. It bears all things like that pillar there,

  368. bearing the weight of that beam going across there. Love carries the weight.

  369. Love puts up. It bears it up.

  370. That's why women stay sometimes with men that treat them bad.

  371. They make it hard on them by spending the money at the tavern instead of buying groceries.

  372. And they make it hard because they don't have clothes for their children.

  373. Because the man sometimes is a scoundrel, but they put up with him. They love him.

  374. And that swings both ways, too.

  375. What do you mean she didn't have no dinner? What do you mean the house ain't? What do you mean?

  376. Why, you know, you got to come home and you got to do help take care of the

  377. kid. And it bothers you. But there's something in you that says, I love him.

  378. And you bear it. You live with it.

  379. I said, when you love somebody, you'll live with it sometimes.

  380. You believe in them. you believe in them.

  381. Well, did you hear about so-and-so? They tell you, you say, I don't believe

  382. it because you love them. You don't believe everything you hear. Come on, somebody.

  383. You got all hope. You hope all things. You have hope. I love them.

  384. I hope, you know, that's when we see a sinner and we love them.

  385. We say, we hope they get saved.

  386. I'd like to see you get saved, man. I'd like to see that guy getting saved.

  387. I'd like to see that homeless man walking down the street get saved.

  388. I hope he gets saved because, you know, I'm going to see that homeless man.

  389. Endures all things. I'm talking about the greatest thing we can do tonight is love somebody.

  390. I said the greatest thing the church can do is love somebody.

  391. I don't care how big your choir is. I don't care how big your sanctuary is.

  392. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care.

  393. There better be a flowing of the Holy Ghost in the operation of love in a church.

  394. People better love each other. They better love people to come through the door.

  395. They don't step back and say, I don't want their kind here.

  396. How many knows that don't belong in God's church? God's church is come on in.

  397. Let's see what God can do for you.

  398. Come on in. Let us help you. Come on in. Let's see if God can work in your life.

  399. Come on in. We're going to put up with you. We're going to deal with you.

  400. We're going to endure you. Praise the Lord.

  401. Even if you don't smell good, we endure you. We put up with you.

  402. We try to help you. We try to get you better.

  403. We try to teach you. Take a bath, man.

  404. Comb your hair. Brush your teeth. Come on, man. We want to help you.

  405. We love you. And let me say, somebody tells you the truth. That's the best friend

  406. you got. Go ahead, sister.

  407. Charity never fails. Love will never fail. By loving somebody, you're not failing.

  408. Oh, you're putting up with them. Why do you keep putting up with them?

  409. Because I love them. That's why. Why do you keep going to church?

  410. Why do you keep doing what you're doing?

  411. Because there's a love of God in my heart that's trying to come out,

  412. and I'm trying to show people that I love them and that God loves them,

  413. and I'm trying to get it out, but I don't know exactly how, but I'm trying to

  414. let the love of God flow in my life.

  415. Praise God. That's what God wants.

  416. That's what God wants. He wants us to express the love of God.

  417. It's the greatest thing we can do. Thank you.

  418. Hands again.

  419. Prophecies will fail. Tongues, they're going to cease one day.

  420. Knowledge, great men die. Take all their knowledge with them.

  421. It vanishes away. Go ahead, next one, We all think we see. We only know in part.

  422. We just prophesy in part by what we know. Go ahead.

  423. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall be

  424. done away with. Go ahead. We could work on that for a while.

  425. When I was a child, I spake as a child. I understood as a child. I thought as a child.

  426. But when I became a man. Go ahead. You got another one?

  427. Maybe that's where I stopped. That's where I stopped.

  428. Okay. But the Bible goes on, now abideth faith, hope, and charity.

  429. And here's what the Bible says. The greatest of these, the greatest thing.

  430. You know, Muhammad Ali said he was the greatest. People want great things.

  431. They want to obtain greatness.

  432. You know, Alexander the Great, they called it, because he marched across Asia

  433. and conquered the world.

  434. And they called him Alexander the Great.

  435. But I don't know Alexander the Great, and he could have been a scoundrel.

  436. Let me tell you, just because the world says somebody great,

  437. that don't make them great.

  438. Oh, there it is. Praise the Lord. When I was a child, I spake as a child and

  439. understood as a child, and I thought as a child.

  440. That verse will preach too. But when I became a man, I put away childish things.

  441. Let me find this on my Bible because I didn't put in enough verses there. Praise the Lord.

  442. Hallelujah. Let's raise our hands again while I find this real quick.

  443. For now we see through a glass darkly, but one of these days, but then face to face.

  444. Now I know in part, but then shall I know even also as I am known, as the music comes.

  445. And now abideth faith, hope, and charity.

  446. Faith is good. Hope is good. Got to have it.

  447. But the greatest of these is charity. the greatest.

  448. It's greater. It's larger. It's stronger than anything.

  449. Saints, the greatest thing we can do is operate in the love of God.

  450. You get a church that's in love with Jesus and in love with each other and in

  451. love with a sinner, you got something. I said, you got something.

  452. You know why? Because that'll cause people to move. It'll cause them to move them to action.

  453. They'll pray for the lost. They'll work for the lost.

  454. They'll do stuff for their church. They'll do what they can when they are expressing

  455. the love of God, when that love of God is coming out of them.

  456. It out. I got to get it out. I can't hold it back.

  457. Cause it's the greatest thing I can do in life is to show you that I love you and show sinners.

  458. I love them. And to show my family, not necessarily in that order,

  459. but show my family that I love them.

  460. You know, man gets up and goes to work. You know why he gets up and goes to work.

  461. He loves his family. That's why he wants them to be taken care of.

  462. He might not have the greatest job.

  463. Get you some groceries. You got something. Praise the Lord. I said, you got something.

  464. We're saying, well, I have better clothes, but I just feel that on my heart tonight. Southwest.

  465. Romans 13 and 8 says, love is the fulfillment of the law.

  466. Every commandment, every law, every principle, every precept handed down by God is topped.

  467. And Peter said it like this. And above all, he says, he uses language like putting

  468. on clothes or taking off clothes.

  469. And he says, above all, he says, putting on charity in the name of.

  470. Else you got on you might not have the best pie

  471. you might not have the best clothes you might not have the

  472. best upbringing you might not have a wealthy family you might not have a big

  473. name but you can put that charity on you can operate in charity you can operate

  474. in that it's the top coat that sets off the outfit you might have prophecy shoes

  475. you might have a knowledge belt,

  476. You might have a burn at the stake tie.

  477. Doesn't matter. If you don't have charity on, you ain't nothing.

  478. I want to operate the way God wants me to operate, don't you?

  479. I hope this made sense tonight.

  480. We need to hope we get it in our heart and just let it flow.

  481. You know, when love's flowing between a husband and wife, it's the best there is.

  482. Love your children. You see them playing game and you love them and you just

  483. see them. and it's just a beautiful thing to watch them.

  484. I love them. I remember my son, I told you the other day, he was eating cereal.

  485. I'll never forget it. Had his elbow on the table and he was eating cereal,

  486. looking at the back of the cereal box.

  487. And there was something in me that just thought, man, I'm glad I could buy that cereal.

  488. It might've been generic Lucky Charms.

  489. Anybody remember what that's called? The Aldi's version of the Lucky Charms?

  490. I remember we was eating that And they had a boy home from school and they were eating cereal.

  491. And in this generic Lucky Charms, there was a blue moon in there.

  492. You know, Lucky Charms didn't have no blue moons.

  493. And I'll never forget this boy. He's just a good old boy and kid from school.

  494. And he says, wise come the blue moons.

  495. Has come the blue moons, man. Where'd those come from? I've never seen the blue moon.

  496. You know, it don't matter if you're eating generic cornflakes or not.

  497. I'll tell you what, you're better to have generic cornflakes and love in the

  498. house than you are having Tony the tiger running out your ear.

  499. You're better to have an old car that won't hardly run with love in it.

  500. Amen. You're better to have an apartment, just a little place with just little

  501. furnishings, just as simple as can be. But if there's love there, you got something.

  502. It's the greatest thing we can do. The greatest thing we can do.

  503. I think it'd just be good tonight if we all kind of come up front tonight.

  504. Just kind of come on up, everybody. And we're going to pray together.

  505. Men with men, you know, every up here and lady or whoever's up here.

  506. We're going to pray. Lord, help us love our families. Lord, if there's trouble

  507. in the family, let's get rid of it. Help us love our wives, love our husbands,

  508. love our kids, love our grandkids.

  509. Help us love people, Lord. Let's pray together, Jesus.

  510. Help us love each other. Help us love...
