  1. Good morning, good morning. I I can't tell you how much I've

  2. been looking. Forward to being here with you

  3. this morning and as my computer boots up I'm going to get a sip

  4. of water real quick. To kind of ducktail on what,

  5. John? Michael was talking about

  6. unplugging. I work at the federal courthouse

  7. in downtown Richmond and I work with a bunch of retired cops and

  8. that in itself is an adventure every day.

  9. Sorry I am having an issue here so I am.

  10. That's what I'm saying. I'm I'm semi retired.

  11. It's always entertaining with the group I work with and if you

  12. ever want an opinion on anything, ask a cop or a

  13. retirement. Amen.

  14. But I'm I am excited to be here this.

  15. Morning and. I'm particularly excited when I

  16. look out and see all the, all the faces and it's more faces

  17. and more faces and it's exciting.

  18. And I, I told, I told my wife, I said if I live nearby.

  19. I would be in this church. Because you you have something

  20. that you don't see. In a lot of churches.

  21. Today and you can feel and see the.

  22. Love that the body has for one another and.

  23. That may. Sound.

  24. Well, that's not really odd that odd.

  25. In this world, it really is don't lose this because you're

  26. going to grow and you already are and you're not going to

  27. always be in this building, but don't lose the love.

  28. How how does? How does the word say will will

  29. know by the? Love they have one.

  30. For the other and don't ever lose that that it's it's.

  31. Critical it is so. Critical.

  32. That's good. Today I'm going to be talking

  33. about a topic. That in in some.

  34. Circles is controversial. But it really shouldn't be.

  35. And the title of my message, and I encourage you this morning if

  36. you're not a. Note taker.

  37. I'm going to encourage you to take notes.

  38. You can do it on your phone. You can.

  39. Follow along like that. Or you can do the old scribe

  40. thing. Either way it's fine.

  41. But the this this message, I believe is one of the most

  42. important messages that the body of Christ or pastors.

  43. I just say across the. World have ignored.

  44. And I think it's it's high time that we get back to what the

  45. word actually says. And the title.

  46. Of my message is, have you received since you believed?

  47. And I'm trying to get my cursor right on that arrow.

  48. And now if you're taking notes, Acts 19, we're going to read

  49. verses one through 7. And it happened that while

  50. Apollo's was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland

  51. country. And came to Ephesus.

  52. He found some disciples and he said to to them, did you receive

  53. the Holy Spirit when you believed?

  54. And they said, No, we have not heard that there even heard that

  55. there is a Holy Spirit. And then he said, into what then

  56. were you baptized? And they said unto John's

  57. baptism, And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of

  58. repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to

  59. come after him, that is Jesus. And on hearing this, they were

  60. baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

  61. Amen. And I'm sorry, my computer.

  62. Just with you this morning wants to jump around.

  63. And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on

  64. them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.

  65. And there were 12. Men in all and as I said at the

  66. out at the beginning of the message, I believe this is a

  67. message and I remember years ago Jimmy Swaggart said this and I

  68. can't. I couldn't agree with anymore.

  69. This is a message. The baptism in the Holy Ghost is

  70. a message that Satan fights more than any message in the word

  71. other than salvation. That's right.

  72. And I and I and I, I, I wholeheartedly agree because he

  73. knows that once somebody is still with the Holy Ghost, they

  74. are empowered. They are empowered to be a

  75. witness. And I said be a witness, not act

  76. a fool, because we've all seen things in churches that you're

  77. like. Oh my gosh.

  78. What are they doing? We're talking about the

  79. infilling of the Holy Ghost. And when I say the baptism in

  80. the Holy Ghost and I've told people at our church, I've said

  81. you're not seeking tongues, you're seeking the infilling of

  82. God himself to overflowing in you.

  83. Perhaps sometimes in your life you were in the church service.

  84. And I can identify with this because I was I had an uncle who

  85. was at Church of God, Cleveland, TN pastor.

  86. If you anybody's been in the church.

  87. Of God, you know what I'm talking about.

  88. And then I was a little kid, probably Hudson's age, and I saw

  89. people doing things in church and it was just pandemonium.

  90. And I'm like, Lord if. I'm sitting like, where's where?

  91. My wife is now if you Get Me Out of this service, I will never go

  92. back to a service like this. But little did I know that

  93. people can have a real experience with God and then the

  94. display of what God did in them is just totally flesh.

  95. It doesn't need to be that way. Each person though might respond

  96. to the spirit differently. Some might be excited.

  97. I I really think it depends on how how deep in sin they were.

  98. I think the I think the more you were in sin, the more you're

  99. going to be full bore towards the Lord.

  100. That's just what I've seen in life.

  101. Jesus and then others are receive and it's very quiet and

  102. there's no right or wrong wrong answer to that, but it should be

  103. and we're going to get into this in the word.

  104. It should be to build the church when when there's a when you're

  105. filled overflowing. Jesus said in Acts 1/4 he

  106. ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem but to wait for the

  107. promise of the Father, which he said, you've heard of me, John

  108. baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy

  109. Spirit not many days from now. Now if you go over to add to 1st

  110. Corinthians 15, Paul is taught his writing here to the

  111. Corinthian church. In verses 4 through 7 he says to

  112. Speaking of Jesus that he was buried, that he was raised on

  113. the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he

  114. appeared on the Cephas, then the to the 12.

  115. Then he appeared to more than 500 brothers at one time, most

  116. of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep, some of

  117. them had died. Then he appeared to James and to

  118. all the apostles. And then Acts 115 Peter stood up

  119. in, in, in, in the midst of the brethren, in the company of

  120. persons. Is there selecting somebody to

  121. replace Judas? And then and they obey the Lord.

  122. And then Acts 2. When the day of Pentecost

  123. arrived, they were all in one place.

  124. And suddenly there came from heaven like the sound of a

  125. rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were

  126. sitting. And they they were seated now

  127. and they were all everybody say all filled with the Holy Spirit

  128. and began to speak in tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance.

  129. I just want you to think about this.

  130. Jesus was seen by over 500 other people besides the 1:20 or only

  131. 120 showed up and stayed in Jerusalem like he said to do.

  132. Now, I am not by any means a. Math major when you put letters

  133. and in. Front of numbers, I just go

  134. bonkers, but I can do simple math.

  135. Yeah, that's about 23 to 24% of the of the believers of that day

  136. obey the Lord and stayed in Jerusalem.

  137. And since then today it's estimated that the in the world

  138. today 27% of believers characterize themselves as

  139. spirit filled charismatic or Pentecostal.

  140. So we've gained about 3% in 2000 years.

  141. I say we're not doing too well because I don't think that's

  142. what God wanted because the promise point number one is to

  143. all disciples. In Acts 2 to Acts 10,

  144. approximately 7 to 10 years have passed and Peter is at

  145. Cornelius's house. Well before he gets there, he

  146. sees a vision and unclean, what he consider unclean food was

  147. dropped down and God said Peter rise, kill and eat.

  148. He said, no, this isn't kosher, never had anything not kosher

  149. and I can't do that. It's unclean.

  150. And God said, What don't you call what I call?

  151. Clean. Unclean.

  152. And, and, and then the men come and say an Angel came to

  153. Cornelius and he's waiting to hear words from you.

  154. You need to come to his house. And in Acts 1044.

  155. And this is 7 to 10 years after Pentecost.

  156. And, and the reason I'm saying this is I'm building a timeline

  157. so we understand that the Holy Ghost didn't stop on the day of

  158. Pentecost. It wasn't just for those early

  159. disciples only. It's for everyone.

  160. Hallelujah and those that were the circumcision were were

  161. amazed because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even

  162. on the Gentiles. How do how do they know they

  163. were poured out? Verse 46 for they heard them

  164. speaking in tongues and extolling God.

  165. Hallelujah that excites me. How did they know the gift was

  166. poured out? They heard them speaking in

  167. tongues just like they did on the day of Pentecost.

  168. Now we're going to Fast forward a few more years to to from Acts

  169. 2 to Acts 19 at Ephesus, which was our, our, our text. 22 to 27

  170. years had passed. Now the Spirit baptism wasn't

  171. just limited to the early followers of Jesus.

  172. Paul was preaching at Ephesus. They were baptized and he said

  173. they baptized the name of Lord Jesus.

  174. And then Paul laid his hands on them and they began speaking in

  175. tongues, 12 men and all. So the argument or an argument

  176. is made today. Well, if this is true, why don't

  177. why ain't everybody speaking in tongues?

  178. Well, let me ask you this. Does everybody get saved when

  179. they hear the gospel? No, no, some people don't have

  180. faith to believe for it. The enemy has confused the

  181. church for for for I'm sure thousands of years now.

  182. Some quote First Corinthians 12/28 is proof that this isn't

  183. for today and God has. Appointed in the church.

  184. First apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles,

  185. then gifts of healing, helping, administrating in various kinds

  186. of tongues. Verse 29 are all are all

  187. apostles, Are all prophets? Do all work miracles?

  188. Do all possess gifts? Gifts of healing, not gift of

  189. healing, gifts of healing. Do all speak with tongues?

  190. Do all interpret, interpret. And every one of these questions

  191. begs a negative answer? No, they do not.

  192. But if you keep it within the context of the word, Paul was

  193. talking about church order. He wasn't talking about your

  194. private prayer life. He was talking about in church

  195. and he goes on to say if there's a message in tongues, it should

  196. be by two or three and there should be an interpreter.

  197. If there's no interpreter, he should be silent in the church

  198. unless he's prophesied because the whole point of it is to

  199. build up the body. Hallelujah.

  200. And then they quote First Corinthians 1419.

  201. I'd rather speak 5 words in my mind in other order to instruct

  202. others than 10,000 words in a tongue.

  203. My second point is this promise includes 2 baptisms.

  204. Acts 15. Jesus said John baptized with

  205. water, but you're going to be baptized with the Holy Spirit

  206. not many days from from from. Hence the Holy Spirit baptizes

  207. us into the body of Christ. Didn't Jesus say unless the

  208. Spirit draws, you can't come in? First Corinthians 12134 In one

  209. spirit we were all baptized into one body, Jews and Greeks, slave

  210. and free. Aren't you glad you're not a

  211. slave? And all were made to drink of 1

  212. spirit, drinking of that one spirit.

  213. But Jesus is the baptized in the Holy Ghost in John 133.

  214. John the Baptist said, I myself did not know him, but he who

  215. sent me to baptize with water, said, he on whom you see the

  216. Spirit descend and remain, it is he who baptizes with the Holy

  217. Spirit. And I have seen and borne

  218. witness that this is the Son of God.

  219. So he identified Christ as a baptizer in the Holy Ghost right

  220. there. Salvation, my friends, is God's

  221. gift to the world. For God so loved the world that

  222. he, He is only begotten, that whosoever believes in Him but

  223. have eternal life. But the baptism in the Holy

  224. Ghost is God's gift to the church.

  225. The world cannot receive this gift in John 14.

  226. I didn't say they couldn't receive salvation.

  227. I said they can't receive this gift.

  228. In John 1416 through 17, Jesus said, and I will ask the Father,

  229. He will give you another helper to be with you forever, because

  230. Jesus physically couldn't be with everybody at the same time,

  231. even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because

  232. it neither sees Him or knows Him.

  233. You know Him and He is in for He dwells with you and will be in

  234. you. The world can receive Christ,

  235. but this is a separate experience.

  236. My Third Point, the promise comes with an outward sign, and

  237. this is where the rubber meets the road.

  238. So we've gone to Acts 2, Acts 10, Acts 19, when you pray in

  239. other tongues, when you're filled with the Holy Ghost. 1st

  240. Corinthians 14 two says for he who speaks in a in a tongue

  241. speaks not to men, but to God, for no one understands him, for

  242. he utters mysteries in the Spirit.

  243. Mysteries are hidden truths, secret counsels of God, matters

  244. revealed by the Spirit rather than being something solvable.

  245. Jeremiah 33 Three. But I know that that word verse.

  246. Call it to me and I will show you great and mighty things that

  247. thou knowest not. And that word mighty there means

  248. things that are fenced in that are in inaccessible.

  249. But all of a sudden when I start praying in the spirit, the

  250. things that are inaccessible, God begins to open the fence.

  251. He opens the gate and he starts to show it attitudes of my heart

  252. that aren't right. He begins to correct things.

  253. I might say to my wife in, in, in being a little terse at

  254. times, you shouldn't have spoke. That was harsh.

  255. The Holy Spirit is gentle. There's things he begins to show

  256. you. And that's like John said a

  257. minute ago, it's not all sin, but it's not good.

  258. And I don't want just good. I want what's best.

  259. Hallelujah, Paul says at 1st Corinthians 14.

  260. He said, for I pray. If I pray in a tongue, my spirit

  261. prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

  262. What am I going to do? I'm going to pray with my spirit

  263. and I'm going to pray with my mind also.

  264. I will sing praise with my spirit and I will sing with my

  265. mind also. It's not either or, it's either

  266. or. And Hallelujah, who does the

  267. praying You do. God's not going to pray for you.

  268. That's. Right.

  269. If you're just having good thoughts towards God, that's all

  270. you're having is good thoughts towards God.

  271. And I'm not saying don't have good thoughts towards God, but

  272. you need to articulate John Wesley said years, hundreds of

  273. years ago, it seems that the God has chosen not to move unless

  274. somebody prays. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

  275. And let me tell you, when you set your heart to seek God and

  276. you see set your heart to to focus and then I mean press in

  277. the enemy will give you all kind of reasons today why you can't

  278. do it. You know, you got your car, you

  279. need to change that oil. You need to do those 3 loads of

  280. laundry. You need to fix the meal and oh,

  281. tomorrow is this is going on. He will give you as many excuses

  282. as you want not to do it, but I'm telling you, do it.

  283. Hallelujah. Acts 1115, Peter said.

  284. Peter reported to the apostles As I begin to speak.

  285. The Holy Spirit fell on them just as he did at the beginning.

  286. I'm telling you, God is consistent.

  287. What he did in Acts 2, Acts 10, Acts 19, and, and even in Acts

  288. 8, and we'll talk about that right now, he is continually

  289. doing. Once faith is activated, he

  290. completes the regenerative work and makes our spirits alive.

  291. But the baptism in the Holy Ghost is a secondary experience

  292. to salvation. And Acts chapter 8, if you

    Acts 8 chapter mention

  293. remember the story, it's Simon the sorcerer.

  294. And he was listening to Philip preach.

  295. So this wasn't one of the apostles.

  296. This is Philip and he's hearing him preach and the word says he

  297. heard and started following, following Philip and and then

  298. here comes Peter in town. Peter laid his hands on them and

  299. they received the Holy Spirit. Now, I'm telling you right here,

  300. it doesn't say that they spoke in tongues, but I know they did

  301. because there was something so dramatic happened that Simon

  302. went to Peter and said, here's $500, give me that power so that

  303. when I lay my hands on people, they'll receive too.

  304. So there was something manifested.

  305. That's what I'm trying to get you to see.

  306. There was something that was manifested in that moment that

  307. made him go because he was a magician and he had duped people

  308. for years. Silent the sorcerer, it's like

  309. going to a fortune teller. They can tell you certain

  310. things. You know why they're trafficking

  311. with demons. And they've been watching.

  312. Demons have been observing you your whole life.

  313. So they know some stuff. And if they're trafficking with

  314. these kind of individuals, he knew some stuff.

  315. So he was ripping people off, charging them.

  316. Oh, he has the great power. He didn't have the great power.

  317. The great power showed up and he recognized it and he wanted it.

  318. But his mistake was he thought he could buy it.

  319. Peter said your money perish with you.

  320. Oh, that's good though. The secondary experience, yes,

  321. work on that salvation then. Yes, because because salvation

  322. is 1st and I'm I'm going to, I'm going to.

  323. I'm going to cover that. It's good.

  324. Amen. They all got the Spirit Baptist,

  325. all of them. All of them got saved and had

  326. the Spirit at when they when they were.

  327. Were saved. They were got saved, but they

  328. didn't get the baptism in the Holy Ghost until Peter laid

  329. their hands on them. And let me tell you this,

  330. salvation is never imparted that I've read in the Word by the

  331. laying on of hands. Salvation comes when you confess

  332. with your mouth the Lord Jesus that you believe God raised him

  333. from the dead, and you confess that with your mouth.

  334. That's the Word. So the the laying on of hands.

  335. People say, well, you know, he he just imparted salvation.

  336. No, he didn't. That's not how salvation comes.

  337. The word is nigh. Your mouth is in you.

  338. You believe and then you speak and let me tell you something.

  339. It's the same with the baptism and the Holy Ghost.

  340. You believe and then you speak Hallelujah.

  341. Who's going to do speaking? You are, you are, say I am, I

  342. am. You're the one who's got to do

  343. the talking. Paul said I thank God that I

  344. speak in tongues more than you All in First Corinthians 1418.

  345. Think of this. This is a man who wrote 2/3

  346. about New, 2/3 of the New Testament and he said I speak in

  347. tongues more than all of you. You think he would have gotten

  348. the revelation he got had he not prayed in the Spirit?

  349. I don't think he would have. I think he had to be in tune

  350. with God, but for God to use him now.

  351. He was educated. He was a Pharisee.

  352. Among Pharisees is when it came to the law.

  353. He was faultless. He knew the Jewish history.

  354. I mean, you talk about pedigree. He was a blue blood.

  355. But God knocked him. Off his high horse.

  356. And he said, I'm Jesus whom you are persecuting.

  357. And even Paul, when Ananias came and prayed for him, it said

  358. scales fell off his eyes. And then when he got knocked off

  359. the horse, he said, who are you? Who are you, Lord?

  360. He knew this is God. I'm blind now.

  361. And when the scales fell, fell off and Ananias prayed for him,

  362. and then he received the Spirit. And then we know he prayed in

  363. tongues because he said, so I pray in tongues more than all of

  364. you. So we we see consistency in the

  365. word and we shouldn't, we should not treat the gifts of the

  366. spirit with contempt. First Corinthians 12/8 through

  367. 11 For the one is through the Spirit is given the Spirit

  368. wisdom, another knowledge and other faith, gifts of healing,

  369. working of miracles, prophecy, distinguishing the spirits,

  370. various kinds of tongues and interpretation empowered by the

  371. one same Spirit who are portions to each individual as he wills.

  372. Now this is this is church order.

  373. This isn't you, you and your prayer life.

  374. So what are the benefits of being filled with the Spirit?

  375. 1st Corinthians 14 four The first part of the verse says he

  376. that speaks an unknown tongue edifies himself.

  377. So what I don't know about you, I'm a, I'm more of a morning

  378. person. I was up at 5:00 this morning.

  379. I was out on my patio about 5:45 or so and I was praying in the

  380. spirit out and you. Know because I'm not waking

  381. everybody else. Up in the house, it's just

  382. easier to do that Jude chapter Jude verse 20 says, but you

  383. beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and

  384. praying in the Holy Spirit. Yes, that's praying in in

  385. tongues. Yes, praying in the spirit

  386. builds you up. Remember Paul said, I'll pray

  387. with my spirit. I'll pray with my and you, when

  388. you pray with your spirit, you bypass your head.

  389. That's right. That's right.

  390. Oh, that's a good word. You.

  391. Bypass your brain because your brain does not always know what

  392. to pray for, as it should. The word says that, but you when

  393. you pray out of your spirit, you're beginning to pray

  394. mysteries, that of things that God wants to reveal to you and

  395. about you and move you forward in life.

  396. I'm I'm going to tell you there's a worship leader in here

  397. right now somewhere. I don't know who you are.

  398. I was sensing it when we were worshipping, but you're, you're

  399. in here and you need to step up. All right, I'm just.

  400. Going to move on. But you bypass your brain when

  401. God begins to speak. Romans 8/26/27 For we do not

  402. know what to pray for as we ought.

  403. Why do we act like we do? But the Spirit himself

  404. intercedes like a rescue operation, with groanings for

  405. us, so deep that we can't comprehend.

  406. But he intercedes with the Saints according to the will of

  407. God. So when I pray in tongues, when

  408. I'm praying in the Spirit, I'm praying according to the will of

  409. God, because if I pray in my head, I'm praying.

  410. God bless my wife, take care of her.

  411. She's traveling to Anthony's, he's at school.

  412. You know John, Michael, Natalie, the grandkids, you know, the

  413. whole Clark clan. Hallelujah.

  414. Well, that's really good. But what about the rest of the

  415. world? It's not just about us.

  416. Second Timothy, verse one. I'm going to read verse 7. 1st

  417. and I'm going to go back to verse 6, you know, 6-7 I'm gonna

  418. go 76. Anthony Bout drove us crazy a

  419. couple. Years ago with that.

  420. For for God and and and you've heard this, you've you've read

  421. this first. You've even quoted it to people,

  422. you know when they're dealing with fear.

  423. For God has not given us the spirit of but of and love and a

  424. sound. OK, let's look at verse 6.

  425. The context of this is Paul's writing Timothy.

  426. And he goes, look, I'm, I'm, I'm writing you to encourage you

  427. about the faith that is in you because it was first in your

  428. grandmother and then it was in your mother.

  429. And I am convinced right now it is in you as well.

  430. And then you go to verse 6. He said, and I remind you, fan

  431. into flame, the gift of God, which is in you by the laying on

  432. of my hands. Hallelujah.

  433. And I'm telling you, there are mornings when I'm going to work

  434. and I'm praying in the Spirit and I'm on 64 going to Richmond

  435. and somebody's cutting me off in the construction zone and I'm

  436. praying in tongues and my flesh goes, it's not working.

  437. It's not working. And I'm like, I don't care.

  438. I'm going to keep on speaking because it is working.

  439. He's working in me. And it doesn't matter if I get

  440. the goosey bumps or the warm fuzzies.

  441. That's good. That's irrelevant because I know

  442. the Word is true. I know God cannot lie.

  443. Philippians 2 verse 12. The latter part of that verse

    Philippians 2:12

  444. says and I don't know. About you but I've.

  445. I've seemed to have struggled in my life with this verse.

  446. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is

  447. God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good

  448. pleasure. Work out your own salvation.

  449. I believe one way I can do that is praying in the Spirit because

  450. I don't have the I don't have the intelligence to know what I

  451. should be praying about at times and.

  452. Working out my. Own salvation with fear and

  453. trembling. But if I fear the Lord, I'm

  454. going to honor his word. How do we receive?

  455. It says in Acts 2 they tarried. Guess what?

  456. I got good news. Everybody look at your neighbor

  457. and say he's got good news. You don't have to tarry because

  458. the Holy Ghost, because that Holy Ghost is here right now.

  459. You don't have to work, you don't have to beg, you don't

  460. have to get get out like a 2 year old and stomp your feet and

  461. flail. He's here.

  462. I said this earlier, Romans 10/9 and 10 believe and speak.

  463. Start praying in time. If you're filled with the Holy

  464. Ghost, praise God. If you're not, if you're not

  465. praying the Spirit every day, shame on you.

  466. Start. That's right.

  467. I'm not mad at you. Our pastor challenged us and a

  468. while back and he said start praying 15 minutes a day, 15

  469. minutes, that's not a lot out of your day.

  470. Change your life and what you're going to do.

  471. You're going to start getting impressions at your work, people

  472. that rub you the wrong way, and we all have them.

  473. And you're going maybe. They're going through something,

  474. maybe, maybe I'm, you know. You know they're, they're still,

  475. you know, whatever you want to. Think but they still got issues.

  476. But you know what I don't know? I don't know their life story

  477. and I don't you know you. I know sometimes when I'm as

  478. people, you know, get nasty and give you the.

  479. California, how they drive and they think you could.

  480. Cut them off or whatever, and you're like, what is wrong with

  481. that person? Then you start formulating with,

  482. you know, what's going on in that person's world.

  483. Well, they're just a jerk. I don't know that maybe they

  484. just found out a loved one passed away, you know, maybe

  485. they found out that they're getting sued.

  486. I don't know what's going on in their life.

  487. And I don't need to, I don't need to imagine in my head, you

  488. know, and I'm totally wrong. And God's going, why don't you

  489. just stay in your lane? And when I'm praying in his

  490. spirit, that's what he does. He keeps me in my lane.

  491. And when I get off the lane, I hit the rumble strips and I'm

  492. like, oh, I better get back in the road or I'm going to crash.

  493. If you'll if you'll begin to to pray in the Spirit, you'll start

  494. seeing and this. Is what I'm excited about.

  495. And I believe this is one of the reasons God gave the gift of the

  496. Holy Ghost. You'll start seeing the fruit.

  497. Of the Spirit manifest. Because I cannot manifest fruit.

  498. Trying to live a Christian life through the flesh.

  499. That's. Right, I can put on a good show

  500. and I can make you think I am just super, super good, but in

  501. reality I'm miserable because it's a work oriented thing I'm

  502. trying to do. But if I flow with the Spirit,

  503. it's life and peace. There you go.

  504. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Praying in the Spirit will keep

  505. you from scrolling on social media when the preachers

  506. preaching. It will keep you from from binge

  507. watching TV because once you start praying in the spirit on a

  508. regular schedule, you'll be like I don't have time for that

  509. phone. It is just not that important

  510. anymore. And I don't know about you.

  511. I think this is a word we all need to hear and it will.

  512. And it will also keep us from being prayer less because we get

  513. frustrated when we try to work it out in our own noggin.

  514. And I'm going to give you an opportunity this morning.

  515. If you have not received the Holy Spirit, I'm going to ask

  516. you to come forward and we're going to pray and we're going to

  517. believe God for you to be filled.

  518. And if you are filled, I want you to be praying in the Spirit

  519. right now. You said, were you going to pray

  520. for people to get through with the Spirit?

  521. Yeah. What?

  522. What if some of them doing what, like a friend of mine, he's in

  523. heaven now, used to say Dallas Fleming said, well, what do some

  524. of them do? As I said before, do all get, do

  525. all get saved? When you preach the messages,

  526. all the sinners come up in every service.

  527. No, because people are at different phases of their lives.

  528. And you know, I, I have learned through my life that God,

  529. there's a lot more patience with people than I am.

  530. Thank you, Lord, that you're patient.

  531. Hey, thank you. Oh, ladies, Lord, you're good.

  532. You are so good. In a minute.

  533. I'm going to ask you to come forward if you want prayer to

  534. receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and you're.

  535. Going to and you're going to. Speak in other tongues because

  536. that's the biblical pattern that's going to happen.

  537. I don't want to just tell you the Holy Spirit will not speak

  538. for you when you come up. Come up with faith, believing

  539. He's going to fill you. And then open your mouth and

  540. make a sound, not English. Just make a sound and he will

  541. work with you and he will feel you, Jesus said in John 737.

  542. Out of your innermost being will flow rivers of the living water.

  543. The woman at the well, he said. If you drink the water I give

  544. you, you'll never thirst again. Somebody here, you're in a dry

  545. place. The day's your day.

  546. to ask. Everybody to stand.

  547. This. Is cooperation time now?

  548. This is where your heart you decide.

  549. I want all that God has for me. And I want to.

  550. I want. To pray correctly and and I want

  551. to overcome habits that just and sins that easily beset and I'm

  552. I'm going to tell you something. There's not anybody in this room

  553. that doesn't have. Or hasn't had some of those.

  554. And there's not anybody in this room that's not struggling with

  555. something because they're human. And we have two natures now.

  556. We still have the old sin nature and we and now we have the

  557. Spirit of God. You say, well, who wins?

  558. The one you feed the most. Amen.

  559. Hallelujah. So if you want to be filled this

  560. morning, you've never been filled or you want to be

  561. refilled, yes, that's good. Come forward, we're going.

  562. To pray with you and believe. God, it's not spooky, it's not

  563. weird, it's God's plan for your life.

  564. If you want to be a greater witness for Him, today's your

  565. day. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, you're.

  566. Good Lord, Hallelujah.
