  1. Welcome to the Southwest Apostolic Church podcast.

  2. This podcast is brought to you by the Southwest Apostolic Church,

  3. located at 3161 South Rowena Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46241.

  4. The podcast will feature preaching,

  5. from our pastor and from other ministers, so we hope you enjoy it.

  6. Without further ado, let's get right into it. God bless.

  7. I said we need God, don't we? Oh, hallelujah. Would you raise your hands with

  8. me one more time? Let's reach for the Lord here for a minute.

  9. We love you, Jesus. We thank you for your blessings.

  10. We thank you, Lord. We thank you, Lord.

  11. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Praise God, praise God, praise God.

  12. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Holy Jesus. Holy Jesus. Hallelujah.

  13. Praise God. Hallelujah. Oh, we love you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  14. Oh, God. Hallelujah. Praise God. Amen. Amen.

  15. Amen. Holy God.

  16. Praise the Lord. We love you, Jesus. We love you, Jesus.

  17. Praise God. Praise God.

  18. If you have a Bible tonight and you'd like to go along, let's go to Mark, the 8th chapter.

  19. We need the Lord, don't we? I pray, Lord, you know, I don't know what to say.

  20. Sometimes I don't know what to say. I don't know what to do.

  21. I don't know what's going on in people's heart and mind. But He does, doesn't He?

  22. So we just try, I pray, Lord, lead me and guide me and help me.

  23. Help me, Lord, to find the right scripture and say the right thing.

  24. So we always approach it that way.

  25. And verse 34, chapter 8 of the book of Mark.

  26. So in that vein, that's what we're trying to do tonight.

  27. Let's go to verse 33.

  28. He turned about and looked on his disciples, and he rebuked Peter,

  29. saying, Get thee behind me, Satan, for thou savest not the things that be of

  30. God, but the things that be of men.

  31. And when he called the people unto him with his disciples also,

  32. he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself,

  33. and take up his cross, and follow me.

  34. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it.

  35. But whosoever shall lose his life for my sake, and the gospel's sake shall save it.

  36. For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

  37. And I want to preach a little bit about tonight saving your life.

  38. Save your life. Save in your life in Jesus' name. Let's pray one more time.

  39. We love you, Lord. Oh, God. Hallelujah.

  40. Oh, help us, Lord. Help us, Lord. Help us, Lord.

  41. Oh, we need you, God. We need you, God. Praise the Lord. Praise you, Jesus.

  42. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Praise the Lord.

  43. Praise the Lord.

  44. Amen. You may be seated. Jesus went out and his disciples into the towns of,

  45. Caesarea Philippi, and as they were traveling, he asked the people, he said.

  46. Who do men say that I am?

  47. You know, that lets me know that he was human because, you know,

  48. he wanted to know what do people say about me.

  49. We all feel that way sometimes. You wonder what somebody thinks about you.

  50. And he says, who do men say that I am? What are they saying about me?

  51. And they answered and said, well, some said John the Baptist,

  52. come back to life, but John the Baptist, but some say Elias or Elijah and others,

  53. you're just one of the prophets.

  54. And he said unto them, but whom say you that I am?

  55. You know, but what do you guys think about me?

  56. And that's the question tonight. We can wonder about what a lot of people think

  57. about Jesus, but the question is, what do you think about him tonight?

  58. What do I think about him tonight? Who do men say that I am,

  59. and then who do you say that I am?

  60. Two questions there. We know what men say. Men say a lot of different things,

  61. but the question is, what do we think about him?

  62. Who do we think he is? And Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ.

  63. And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

  64. And he began to teach them. This is where we're zeroing in tonight.

  65. He said, he began to teach them that the son of man must suffer many things,

  66. and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priest and the scribes and be killed.

  67. And after three days rise again.

  68. And he spake that saying openly. He was telling them.

  69. That the Son of Man is going to suffer, going to be rejected.

  70. The leaders are going to kill him.

  71. And in three days, he's going to rise again. But Peter began to rebuke him.

  72. And Peter took him and began to rebuke him. And when he turned,

  73. isn't that amazing? You see, Peter didn't understand the ways of God.

  74. God's got a way, the old song said, that you can't get over it.

  75. And God's got a way that you can't get under it.

  76. You've got to come in at the door, the old psalm says. In other words,

  77. you've got to do it God's way.

  78. There's just no two ways about it for me to be what I want to be and what everybody

  79. needs to be. You've got to do it God's way.

  80. God's way is the best way. I said God's way is the best way,

  81. but his way doesn't always look like what everybody thinks it ought to look like.

  82. Because Jesus is talking about suffering and dying, and Peter,

  83. as a human, a carnal human, he begins to rebuke him, and he doesn't understand that.

  84. And then Jesus turned and rebuked Peter because there's a battle going on in

  85. the spirit world, and there's a battle in mindsets going on here.

  86. Because Jesus understood what was going to happen, and he understood that the

  87. suffering he was going to experience was in the mind of God, in the plan of God.

  88. Sometimes things are in God's plan that's not in our plan.

  89. And we've got to understand we need to follow God's plan and let God be God.

  90. Amen. Let God be God and every man a liar, the Bible says.

  91. And he began to rebuke Peter, and he got real strong with Peter.

  92. Now, Peter doesn't want him to die, of course. You know, we don't want things

  93. to happen, of course, but guess what? Things happen.

  94. Things happen that we don't know about. We don't understand in our carnal mind,

  95. our carnal thinking. We don't understand it.

  96. Amen. And we try to figure it out, but sometimes we just can't figure it out.

  97. And Peter was trying to, wait a minute, we don't want you to die.

  98. And Peter being, no, no, Lord, you can't die. We don't want you to die.

  99. And then Jesus turned around and said, get behind me, Satan. Wow.

  100. So Jesus realized that there was a battle going on. And he said,

  101. for thou savest not the things that be of God.

  102. But the things that be of man. I don't want to savor the things.

  103. To, I want to read this in the Amplified. It brings it out good.

  104. And he said this freely, frankly, plainly, and explicitly, making it unmistakable.

  105. In other words, he let them know that's what was going to happen.

  106. And Peter took him by the hand and led him aside. Then facing him, began to rebuke him.

  107. But turning around his back to Peter and seeing his disciples,

  108. he rebuked Peter, saying, Get behind me, Satan, for you do not have a mind intent

  109. on promoting what God wills,

  110. but what pleases men.

  111. You're not on God's side, but you're on man's side. I'll tell you what,

  112. I want to be on God's side.

  113. Best place to be is on God's side. Amen.

  114. You know, I think it was Abraham Lincoln, they said, they asked him about,

  115. I can't remember exactly how the quote went, but Abraham Lincoln said,

  116. I don't necessarily want God on my side. I want to be on God's side. Amen.

  117. It doesn't have to be my way, just as long as it's God's way.

  118. So Jesus then, when he called the people unto his disciples, he said unto them.

  119. He's letting us know that he said, if you're going to follow him,

  120. if you're going to, Whoever wants to, if anyone intends to come after me,

  121. let him deny himself, forget, ignore, disown, and lose sight of himself and his own interest,

  122. and take up his cross, and joining me as a disciple and siding with my party,

  123. follow with me continually, cleaving steadfastly to me.

  124. That's the only way you can serve God is with your whole heart.

  125. It's the only way to do it.

  126. You want to find yourself? You want to save yourself? Then lose yourself to Jesus.

  127. Amen. If you really want to be saved, if you really want to find yourself,

  128. and you really want to find your purpose, and you really want to find out

  129. who you are, and you really want to discover your potential,

  130. then turn your life over to Jesus and let him do the work. Amen.

  131. Because Jesus said it like this. Whosoever shall save his life shall lose it.

  132. For whoever wants to save his higher spiritual eternal life will lose it,

  133. the lower natural temporal life which is lived only on earth.

  134. And whoever gives up his life which is lived only on earth for my sake and the

  135. gospels will save it. Amen.

  136. His higher spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God

  137. the most important thing is and then he goes on to say what shall it profit

  138. a man if he gains the whole world and lose his own soul.

  139. And another translation another verse in the bible another place where this

  140. is quoted what shall it profit a man if he gained the whole world and lose himself,

  141. Peter told the people on the day of pentecost he said save yourself from this untoward generation,

  142. and i feel in the spirit tonight god's trying to tell somebody save yourself,

  143. amen you want to be saved you want to live you want life you want to be happy you want to be,

  144. and you want to have all the things that you want peace and joy and all the

  145. only way to really get that is to lose yourself for jesus praise the lord Give your heart to God.

  146. Surrender to God with all your heart.

  147. Let God have it all, praise the Lord.

  148. He said, because if you try to save your life, you're going to lose it.

  149. If you try to do it, you're going to mess it up.

  150. If we try to figure it out, we're going to do something wrong.

  151. But the best way to do it is lose your life and let the Lord take care of it and let God work it out.

  152. And he said, you'll save your life. Amen.

  153. You'll find yourself. You don't

  154. have to be in a position of wandering and losing and all that things.

  155. He said, if you lose your life, you'll find it.

  156. The only way to find what you're really looking for and to find yourself,

  157. whoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospels, he said the same shall save it.

  158. Can I tell you tonight, save yourself. Can I tell you tonight the only thing

  159. you can be stingy about or not stingy, selfish about, you know,

  160. we're not supposed to be selfish. we're supposed to be.

  161. Jesus said, deny yourself and those type of things. But I want to tell you something.

  162. One thing you can be selfish about, that's your salvation, and that's your soul.

  163. And the best thing you can do is think about your soul and think about what

  164. you really need with God and making sure you've turned it all over to Him,

  165. because if you try to save your life, you're going to lose it.

  166. A lot of people trying to do it on their own, trying to figure it out on their own, trying to do it.

  167. You can buy self-help books. You can spend a lot of money in doing this, and you can do that.

  168. But Jesus plainly lets us know, if you really want to find your life,

  169. if you really want to save your life, then lose it to him. Praise the Lord.

  170. Just give it over to Jesus. Surrender to God.

  171. And that's the hardest thing in the world for people to do. I don't know why. I don't know why.

  172. I was telling Danny today, we preached out the mission, and I preached that,

  173. you know, you need to understand this is real, and you need to think about being

  174. saved, and you need to think about where you're going to spend eternity and all those things.

  175. And sometimes when you preach like that, you're just like beating your head

  176. against the wall because the devil, you see, the devil don't want anybody to,

  177. he doesn't want anybody to get saved.

  178. He doesn't want God to have his way. But I want to tell you,

  179. I'm glad to be around a bunch of people tonight. We want God to have his way.

  180. We want God to get a hold of somebody. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

  181. That's why we come and worship God and try to praise him, try to sing,

  182. try to do what we can so that we can break down the barriers,

  183. amen, that the devil puts up there. Oh, and he puts them up there too.

  184. He puts the barriers up there. He'll make us mess up on a song.

  185. He'll get the volume all messed up. We're trying to do something good,

  186. and the devil gets it all messed up, and then everybody gets their mind on this

  187. and gets their mind on this. Oh, boy, I wish they'd sing a different song.

  188. And the devil gets our mind going everywhere.

  189. When what we all really do is come in here and lose ourselves. Hallelujah.

  190. Come in here and just say, Hallelujah. I love you, Jesus. I mean,

  191. I love you, Jesus. Just give it over to him. Praise God.

  192. Let go of all of our thinking and let go of all of our, and I'm the worst one. I'm the worst one.

  193. Because I want everything to go good. I want God to have his way, don't you?

  194. I want God to work. I want God to touch somebody. Praise the Lord.

  195. I want somebody to get right with God. I want somebody to get the Holy Ghost.

  196. I want somebody to get baptized in Jesus' name.

  197. Amen. So my mind's going all the time. How can we do better?

  198. How can we, you know what we can do? The best thing we can do is just come in

  199. here and give it all to Jesus.

  200. Just come in here and turn it all over to him. Oh, Lord. Hallelujah.

  201. God, have your way, Jesus. Have your way, God.

  202. You do however you want to do it, God.

  203. Let me just lose myself to you. Hallelujah. Let me just give myself to you.

  204. Let me just lay it. They told an old story. I don't know if it's true or not.

  205. My old friend Anthony used to say, you've got to watch them when they start telling those stories.

  206. But they talked about the Indian that went to revival services,

  207. and the preacher was preaching about giving your life to the Lord,

  208. and the Indian came up, you know, and he brought his blanket up and laid it

  209. down and said, Indian, give God a blanket.

  210. You know, he's wanting the Holy Ghost, and he come up and said,

  211. Indian, give God a blanket.

  212. Well, he didn't get the Holy Ghost and come up and, I don't know,

  213. something else, Indian, give God arrows or something, you know,

  214. He didn't get the Holy Ghost.

  215. He didn't get the Holy Ghost till he come up to the altar and said,

  216. "'Indian, give God Indian.'".

  217. Amen. We need to give God ourself. We need to turn our life over to God.

  218. We need to make sure we pour it out to him and turn it over to him.

  219. Because if we try to find it where he lets us, Jesus, you know,

  220. when Jesus says things like that, he's letting us know that's the way it is.

  221. That's the way it is. When he says, no man can serve two masters.

  222. He's saying that because that's the way it is. Not because he's not saying it in the sense.

  223. You can't serve two masters. It can't be done.

  224. You can't serve two masters. It can't be done.

  225. No man, not that man don't, he's not saying, you know, man, everybody thinks

  226. they got the ability to straddle the fence or whatever, but Jesus says no man can serve two masters.

  227. It can't be done. I don't care what your name is, who your daddy is, who your mommy is.

  228. Nobody can straddle the fence with Jesus and be successful.

  229. You can't do it. You can't try to straddle the fence. You can't try to ride

  230. it and be on both sides of the fence.

  231. The best way to do it is just lose it all to Jesus. Amen.

  232. Give it all to Jesus.

  233. Just give it all to him and let him have the rest of it and just take it all, God.

  234. He said, you try to serve two masters, you'll either, eventually you'll love

  235. one, hate the other one, or you'll hate one, love the other one.

  236. Eventually, you're going to go one way or the other.

  237. You're either going to lose your life or you're going to find it.

  238. You're either going to lose your life or you're going to find it.

  239. That's the way it is. Can't, you know, I can't make it any different.

  240. I can't change it. When Jesus says something, let me tell you, that's the way it is.

  241. Find out your way and try to figure it all out, you're gonna end up losing out.

  242. I don't want anybody to lose out, do you? I don't wanna lose out with God.

  243. I wanna find my life. I wanna be saved, don't you?

  244. I wanna be happy. I want joy. I want peace.

  245. I want all those things that God has for me and for you. And I want it for the church.

  246. And church, the best thing we can do to have revival is come in here and just

  247. give it all to Jesus. Praise the Lord. Come in here and work.

  248. And if we do that we'll find what we're looking for I said we'll find what we're looking for,

  249. let's raise our hands right now say Lord help us lose ourself help us give it

  250. to you God help us Lord because you said what shall it profit a man if he gained

  251. the whole world and lose his self Hallelujah.

  252. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  253. Praise the Lord. Who we are,

  254. our well-being, our inner person, our self-esteem.

  255. Our self. You see, you got to realize what shall it profit if you lose yourself?

  256. Lose yourself dignity and lose your worth and lose the reason that God put you

  257. here and lose out on spiritual things. And what does it profit a man if he loses his own self?

  258. That's your soul, you know, your soul is you, right? I said, your soul is you.

  259. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his self?

  260. Let's raise our hands right now. Come on, somebody. Hallelujah.

  261. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  262. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  263. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  264. Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself, Job said.

  265. I've said it is a vain to serve God. And what profit is it that we have kept

  266. his ordinance and that we have walked mournfully before him? What does it profit me?

  267. What does it do for me? If I, you know, paying my tithes and spending time and

  268. I'm giving and I'm trying to walk with God and I give up my time,

  269. I drive across town, I make the effort and get up and go to church.

  270. And the devil wants to tell us it's not going to profit us anything,

  271. but I'm here to tell you it's going to profit everything.

  272. I said, it's going to profit everything. You talk about profit.

  273. Praise God. You talk about getting ahead when it's all said and done.

  274. The Bible talks about shining as the stars in the heavens.

  275. They that would be wise are going to shine like the stars in the heavens.

  276. Praise God. What does it profit me? What does it do me any good. Praise the Lord. Why?

  277. What fruit had yet ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed?

  278. For the end of these things is death. Why do people want to hold on to things?

  279. Why do people want to hold on to the world? And why do they want to hold on

  280. when you talk about letting things go and you talk about serving God?

  281. Why do they want to hang on to them? I don't know. I don't know it's a great

  282. spiritual battle it's something that's beyond me but the Bible says if you lose

  283. it if you let go of it you're going to profit praise the Lord

  284. the only way to be right with God and be with God and get the things you want

  285. from God is to let go of things

  286. you got to let go of things sometimes you got to let God have it praise the

  287. Lord you got to lose yourself if you want to save yourself,

  288. hallelujah you got to let go sometimes,

  289. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. By faith, when Moses,

  290. when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter,

  291. he had the opportunity to be, you know, he was the son of Pharaoh's daughter.

  292. He had the opportunity to have a place in the kingdom of Egypt.

  293. He had a, he had a, he had a position he could take and, and he was the general

  294. and he, then he knew all about Egypt, but he also had a mother that said,

  295. Moses, Egypt's not that big a deal.

  296. There's something more important than Egypt, Moses. You're a Hebrew. Hallelujah.

  297. Moses, you're a child of God. Hallelujah. Let's raise our hands right now. Hallelujah.

  298. Moses, you're a child of God. It's more than Egypt. Praise God.

  299. Sure. You could be the son of Pharaoh's daughter.

  300. Sure, you could go after those things. Sure, you could hang on to a position.

  301. Sure, you could hang on to your own desires.

  302. But Moses, the best thing to do is remember, you're a Hebrew, Moses. Praise God.

  303. Hallelujah. God's got something for you, Moses.

  304. Hallelujah. And the Bible said, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the

  305. people of God than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season,

  306. esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt,

  307. for he had respect unto the recompense of reward.

  308. He had an understanding of what the reward was going to be.

  309. He understood that if he was really going to obtain, pain, he had to let go

  310. of Egypt, and he had to let go of that position because there was something greater than Egypt.

  311. There was something better to be had, praise the Lord, and he understood it.

  312. So he chose rather to suffer the afflictions with the people of God.

  313. I'd rather be with the people of God any day. I said, I'd rather be with the people of God any day.

  314. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise God.

  315. Let the brother of low decree rejoice that he is exalted, but the rich in that

  316. he is made low, because as the flower of the grass, he shall pass away.

  317. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat,

  318. but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof faileth, and the grace of

  319. the fashion of it perishes, so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

  320. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul or loses is self.

  321. The heart of God tonight is save yourself.

  322. Save yourself. Save yourself. Hallelujah.

  323. Save yourself. Praise God.

  324. Give it all to God. Let God work it out. Come on, somebody.

  325. Let God have his way. Praise the Lord. Let God have his way. Praise God.

  326. I said, let God have his way. Praise God.

  327. Why would you fight God? Why would you fight the things of God?

  328. Peter, get behind me, Satan, he said, because you don't savor the things of God.

  329. You know, we need to savor the things of God. We need to look at the things

  330. of God and give them great esteem and understand the ways of God are the best

  331. ways and understand that serving God

  332. and surrendering to God is the best way,

  333. and esteem and understand the ways of God.

  334. That's what we need to be concerned about, are the ways of God.

  335. Not so much of the ways of the Republican Party, or the Democratic Party,

  336. or the Indiana State Representative, but we need to have an understanding of

  337. the ways of God. That's what we need to care about.

  338. To think about what God's got in store for us. The Bible says there was a man,

  339. I'm going to preach my heart out and then I'll be done. Praise the Lord.

  340. He was rich, he was young, and he was a ruler.

  341. In this life, in his life, he was rich, he was young, and he's a ruler.

  342. He had prestige, he had wealth, and he had youth.

  343. That's everything people think that, you know, if you got that in life, you got everything.

  344. That's the way people look at it. But he.

  345. Thing you lack. Boy, I don't want Jesus looking at me and saying that,

  346. do you? I don't want him looking at me and saying you're slacking on one thing.

  347. He probably didn't say it like that. He probably just looked at him real nice,

  348. real tender, and said, yeah, you kept the law and kept it from your youth up,

  349. but there's something you're lacking.

  350. And he knew exactly what it was. He knew exactly what he was lacking.

  351. And he said, go sell all that you have.

  352. Come and follow me. Lose yourself.

  353. Lose your prestige.

  354. Lose your wealth and follow me.

  355. Now, I don't know what the Lord could have had in store for that young man.

  356. I don't know what God had in his mind for that young man, if he would have followed

  357. him, but I guarantee you he missed out.

  358. I said, I guarantee you he missed out because his life, he couldn't lose his life.

  359. That was his life. What do you mean sell everything?

  360. I can't do that. I can't sell everything I got.

  361. I can't follow you. People look down on me if I follow you.

  362. Sorrowfully. Can I tell you tonight, it's not the Lord's will for anybody to

  363. leave here sorrowfully tonight.

  364. He doesn't want anybody to go away from Him sorrowful.

  365. He doesn't want anybody to go away from Him not knowing what to do,

  366. not how to find their life.

  367. He doesn't want you to do that. He wants you to come to Him and find your life.

  368. Come to Him and give it to Him and surrender and let God give you the life he

  369. wants you to have. Come on, somebody. Help me out here tonight.

  370. God's got plans. God's got things, but you got to do it his way.

  371. You lose it. You lose your life. He said, try to hang on to this. Try to hang on to this.

  372. Dad gave him his inheritance and he took off with his money.

  373. He left his dad's house. He went out there and he, with riotous living,

  374. the Bible says, he spent his money.

  375. He thought he was finding life. He thought he was enjoying himself.

  376. He thought, you know, he was going to Vegas, play a little roulette,

  377. you know, put it all on red and play cards and chase wine, women,

  378. and song. And he He thought he was really fine in his life.

  379. But guess what? The Bible says he ended up in the hog pen.

  380. And he ended up eating the food that the hogs eat.

  381. You know what? He thought he was gaining his life when he asked his dad for his heritage.

  382. And he thought he was gaining when he asked his dad to give him his money.

  383. But he ended up losing out.

  384. But I'm glad tonight as the music comes. I'm glad tonight the father was still

  385. waiting on him to come back home.

  386. Amen. I'm glad. Hallelujah.

  387. Take that fatted calf, that calf we've got saved up for a special occasion,

  388. cook that baby up, get him a robe, put a ring on his finger,

  389. and restore him back to the life that I want him to have. Amen.

  390. I want him to find his life. I want him to have his life, not lose it.

  391. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  392. Came to pass. He said, I got, the servants got it better.

  393. At my Father's house than I do right now.

  394. Want to give it up earlier, but I think I'll be willing now to go back to my

  395. dad's house and say, dad, I'm no more better than a servant.

  396. Just let me come back and let me be a servant.

  397. But I'm glad God's merciful and God still doesn't.

  398. The Bible says the gifts and the callings of God are without repentance.

  399. I'm glad that that man knew that he wasn't just a servant. That was his son.

  400. He said, you might've went away as my son and you might've ran away,

  401. but when you come back, you're still my son. Amen.

  402. I said, you're still my son.

  403. I said, you're still, he's saying, you're still my son.

  404. You're still my son. And I want you to find your life. Save yourself. Save yourself.

  405. Let's raise our hands right now. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  406. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah,

  407. amen. Anybody need to sell out tonight?

  408. Anybody need to give it up to the Lord tonight? Anybody trying to hang on to

  409. your own ways and do your own thing?

  410. Can I tell you tonight the best thing to do is turn your heart over to God,

  411. turn your life over to God. Brother Mooney used to say, if you try to plan your

  412. life, you're going to come up short.

  413. But if you turn it over to God and let God have it, he's going to do more for

  414. you in your life than you could ever dream.

  415. Amen. Amen. Amen. You're going to have more than you ever thought and more than

  416. you ever dreamed if you let God do it.

  417. In other words, you'll save your life.

  418. Jesus said, I've come that you might have life and that more abundantly.

  419. He wants you to have life. He wants you to enjoy life.

  420. He wants you to laugh. He wants you to giggle. He wants you to enjoy life.

  421. You to have peace. He wants you to have everything you want,

  422. but he's got some, I don't know

  423. if rule's the right word, he got some ways that we can't go around them.

  424. God's got a way that you can't go over,

  425. to do it the way he says to do it. Because if you want life.

  426. He said, if you want your life, you got to lose your life.

  427. If you want to find your life, you got to lose it.

  428. That's just the way it is. You know, the Bible says there's a law of sowing and reaping.

  429. That God has some laws, natural, spiritual laws. You plant corn, you get corn.

  430. And he's got some spiritual laws. He's got some spiritual laws.

  431. If you want to find yourself, you got to lose it. No man can serve two masters. That's another one.

  432. Can't do it. It can't happen. You can't. No, it's not possible.

  433. And oh, wouldn't it be nice if people would just lose themselves for Jesus?

  434. Wouldn't it be nice to have a revival?

  435. People just give up to Jesus. Say, Lord, it ain't working for me. Let me try it your way.

  436. God, work in my heart, work in my life. You see, we got to make him preeminent for one thing.

  437. We put a lot of stuff ahead of him. We put a lot of stuff ahead of him.

  438. We put a lot of ideas, a lot of principles, a lot of things,

  439. a lot of people, a lot of things we put ahead of him.

  440. But when we really need to move everything out of the way and make him first,

  441. lose yourself to him. Lose yourself.

  442. You know, there were some offerings in the Bible. Sometimes the priest got part.

  443. Sometimes the people got part. But there was an offering called the whole burnt offering.

  444. And that whole burnt offering, God got it all.

  445. And I want to tell you, the only way to be successful in God,

  446. the only way to really be successful is to give yourself as a whole burnt offering

  447. to God and save your life.

  448. Go ahead and start with the song tonight.

  449. Hallelujah. Peter didn't want him to die. Jesus said, wait a minute,

  450. Peter. There's some things of God.

  451. Plan of God. There's a way of God that you don't understand, Peter.

  452. You're not savoring the way of God. You're not looking at the things of God.

  453. You're looking at the things of men.

  454. Anybody want to pray tonight? I delivered my heart the best I could tonight.

  455. Anybody want to pray? Come on. Give it over to Jesus.

  456. The best thing you can do is serve God when you're young serve god as a young

  457. person serve god and when you're,

  458. middle-aged it don't matter best thing we can do is give it over to god,

  459. this is the heartbeat of god tonight.

  460. That was a hard saying. And the people went away.

  461. And he looked at his disciples and he said, will you go away also?

  462. Somebody somebody else still needs to surrender tonight hallelujah touch james tonight,

  463. help him tonight god help us all tonight go ahead brother ronnie sing another

  464. song come on somebody gather in pray with ease at the altar,

  465. amen god wants somebody to have victory tonight he wants somebody to walk out

  466. of here with something in their heart they didn't come in with tonight,

  467. whoo hallelujah have your way jesus have your way jesus break down every barrier

  468. Lord, break down every way of man, oh God, and let your ways be preeminent.

  469. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on. Come on.

  470. Come on, young person. Come on in. Give your light to God tonight.

  471. Come on. Come on. Come on.

  472. Hallelujah. Have your way, Jesus. Have your way, Jesus. Pour out your spirit tonight, God.

  473. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  474. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

  475. Hallelujah! Have your way, God! Have your way, God!
