  1. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of God, of all ages.

  2. Welcome to the City Place Church Podcast, wherever you are in the world.

  3. We thank you for making the time to tune in.

  4. Take a moment to get focused.

  5. Clear your mind, close your eyes, open your heart and receive what God has for you on this day.

  6. If you're ready for the word, say let's go.

  7. God is, God is so good.

  8. Um, if you've been here since the start of the year, you know that part of God's heart for this year was that we would impact the one, and that we would begin to prepare for our permanent home.

  9. And so I'm just loving what the Lord is doing in this season.

  10. And, uh, I also love God's Word.

  11. Anybody else love God's Word? And so last week, uh, we just started a slow journey through Exodus 33.

  12. We're gonna continue that.

  13. I'll catch you up, fill in some of your blanks, and then, uh, we'll, we'll, we'll keep going.

  14. Um, and then, hey, thank you for coming, uh, online, praying on Wednesdays, coming at 9:30 to pray.

  15. Uh, next Sunday is day 22 of 21 Days of Prayer, and we take day 22 as a, m- uh, we'll do, we'll do one more Sunday, a pre-service prayer, where we'll have a charged atmosphere thanking God for what He did during those 21 days.

  16. Because the Bible says that when David, uh, Daniel was having a conversation, God told him, He said, "Hey, on the first day you started praying, we started moving.

  17. But the Prince of Persia," the, the demonic forces during that time, "were pushing against.

  18. But because of your faithfulness, I just want you to know that we moved what was in the way."

  19. And so that conversation that he had was after 21 days.

  20. And so we take day 22 as a day not to go, "We're finished," but to go, "God, now we're focused even more."

  21. And so there'll be a charged atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving, but also a little bit more intentionality as we continue on through the fall.

  22. Can we pray? Father, we thank You for Your Word.

  23. We thank You for passion in our worship.

  24. Passion because of Your faithfulness.

  25. Passion because of Your goodness.

  26. Passion because we just can't hold in what You put on the inside of us.

  27. You deserve it all.

  28. It's all for You.

  29. And we want every atmosphere to be shifted when You're in the room.

  30. So Father, as we lean into Your Word now, I pray that You would speak to us, You would charge us, You would challenge us.

  31. We're grateful.

  32. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

  33. Hey, let's declare our, our scripture verse for the year.

  34. We've been declaring Joshua 1:9.

    Joshua 1:9

  35. And it simply just says, "Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Don't be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

  36. This has been our declaration as a church, and we've, we have a little fill-in-the-blank so you can put your name in.

  37. So on the count of three, I want you to put your name in, and I want you to read that verse together.

  38. Are you ready? Ready, one, two, three.

  39. Damon, have I not- Somebody say wherever you go.

  40. The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

  41. This morning we're gonna continue around our thought being postured and being positioned.

  42. If you have your Bibles, go to Joshua chapter three, Joshua chapter three.

  43. Thank you, Jay.

  44. I appreciate you.

  45. I got to hang out with Jay yesterday.

  46. We had, we had a good time, didn't we, Jay? Jay let me know that Jay can be Jay or three letter Jay, J-A-Y And then after a while he was like, "Just call me Jamaris."

  47. Come on, Jamaris, I appreciate you, man.

  48. Joshua chapter three, Joshua chapter three says this, and this has been our pivot over the last few days and weeks.

  49. It says, "Then Joshua rose early in the morning, and they set out from Acacia Grove and came to the Jordan.

  50. He and all the children of Israel, they lodged there before they crossed over.

  51. So it was after three days, the officers went throughout the camp and they commanded the people saying, 'When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.

  52. Yet there should be a pace between you, about 2,000 cubits by measure.

  53. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.'

  54. And Joshua said to the people, 'Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders amongst you.'"

  55. Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders amongst you.

  56. The presence of the Lord will go ahead of you, and before you.

  57. Keep your eyes on the presence of the Lord, because where you're going, you've never been that way before.

  58. Y'all, there's something about being able to have our attention focused on the presence of the Lord.

  59. I don't know about you, but there are times when I wake up the next morning and I take for granted that He wants to lead me in that day.

  60. Anybody else? You just kinda get your day started.

  61. You may invite Him into your day, but sometimes if you're like me, you don't ask Him where is He leading.

  62. Right.

  63. And Joshua's saying, "God is about to take you to a promise that will sound familiar because you've heard it time after time," but it still requires Him to lead.

  64. It still requires Him to lead when you get the job that you want.

  65. It still requires Him to lead when you get the mate, the spouse, the career, the, the finances.

  66. It still requires Him being in charge.

  67. That's right.

  68. It still requires Him to be in charge when you know that you're sealed by the presence of the Lord, and you will spend eternity with Him, you still have to follow Him.

  69. Yeah.

  70. No matter what situation you're in, He still has to take the lead, and you have to give Him enough space so that you don't become familiar, so that He can lead you to where He is guiding you.

  71. Yeah.

  72. And then he says, "But then what's most important is that before you see the wonders and the miracles, that you set yourself apart- Yeah and that time as holy."

  73. We define sanctify, and it means this: to make holy, to set apart as sacred, to consecrate.

  74. Mm-hmm.

  75. To render legitimate and binding Joshua says, "Hey, God's about to blow your mind.

  76. You're gonna keep your eye on Him, but I want you to take this night, this day, to bind yourself to Him so that when we start fighting battles, you don't loosen up."

  77. See, I wish I could tell you, and y'all, literally we've been in this for like six months.

  78. We are going to get through some other chapters, I promise.

  79. Yeah.

  80. But when you move forward into the Book of Joshua, it's not just handed to them.

  81. Like, the, the, the victory, the territory, the promise is not just handed to them, but it is.

  82. God promises that He's handing it over to them, but they still have to show up and battle and fight.

  83. That's right.

  84. Like, we still have to show up for the fight.

  85. It's just that you and I don't have to take out weapons.

  86. Come on.

  87. That's good.

  88. The Bible says that the weapons of our warfare aren't fleshly- Right but they're mighty through God who pulls down those strongholds as we're- That's right intense about Him.

  89. Yeah.

  90. And so Joshua says that before we even try to do anything on our own, we're gonna keep our eye on Him, we're gonna consecrate ourself, we're gonna bind ourself to Him so that should we think we need to act in the flesh- Right we don't have to.

  91. Right.

  92. Even though there will be things that we will do in, in the natural, God's still already done it in the spiritual.

  93. Y'all good? Yeah.

  94. We said this last week, that alignment to His presence produces clarity.

  95. It produces His promise.

  96. It produces a closeness to Him, and wherever He is, that is a sacred space.

  97. Yeah.

  98. We are at an elementary school.

  99. Right.

  100. This elementary school, because we have placed His name on it, is now sacred ground.

  101. That means that everything that has been here before we got here is evicted.

  102. That's right.

  103. Lest this is still Hen Oaks Elementary School Because we are on this property, this is the house of God.

  104. Yes.

  105. A sacred place.

  106. So when we gather, we have to recognize that He's here.

  107. Yes.

  108. Even when you drive on the parking lot, and the team is welcoming you in.

  109. Yes.

  110. That is sacred ground.

  111. Yes.

  112. The minute you drive on Suburban Road and you see the flags outside and the sign, we have declared that this is now holy ground.

  113. Yes.

  114. The water balloons- Come on.

  115. that I will throw at your elementary kids later- That's right are sacred.

  116. I'm just kidding.

  117. Just I'm just...

  118. Someone's going, "Sacred, sacred."

  119. That's right.

  120. Sacred.

  121. That reminds me of my, what my mama used to tell me about the preachers in her day.

  122. My mom say, uh, w- would say Grandma would come home from church, and she'd say, "Boy, Pastor preached today."

  123. Yeah.

  124. And they would say, "Well, what did he preach about?" "I don't know."

  125. "But Pastor sure preached today."

  126. Yes.

  127. That reminded me of me going the, the, the, the water balloons are sanctified.

  128. They're like, "The water balloons.

  129. The water balloons."

  130. "The water balloons."

  131. What did Pastor preach today? I don't know.

  132. But it sure was good.

  133. Look at somebody, say, "I don't know what PD preached."

  134. "But it sure was good.

  135. It sure, it sure was good.

  136. Sure was good."

  137. We, we, we said this, we said that the challenge, we said that the challenge of our walk with the Lord is that we're gonna need to posture and position ourselves.

  138. Yeah.

  139. Not like this to receive But we wanna make sure that we can hear, that we can listen, and we can engage.

  140. I love it because Joshua could keep this thing as a religious thing, like, "Hey, I'm your leader.

  141. Listen to me.

  142. I've heard from God.

  143. Listen to me."

  144. But Joshua's like, "Actually, because I've experienced Him for myself, I'm gonna let you hear what He has to say."

  145. I can hear God clearly.

  146. But guess what? Before the miracles, signs, and wonders, I want you to be bound to Him because He's not gonna keep you at arm's distance.

  147. No, He's gonna draw you close.

  148. And so we wanna make sure that we're aligned to all of who He is.

  149. Every moment you and I have with God, you and I will get to choose whether it is religious or it's sacred.

  150. That's good.

  151. Whether it's religious or whether it's sacred, and that led us to Exodus chapter 33, and this is where we're landing.

    Exodus 33 chapter mention

  152. I gave you some thoughts from last week.

  153. I'm not gonna re-preach those thoughts.

  154. I'm gonna give them to you real quickly.

  155. Some are already filled in for you on your notes.

  156. Others, I'll lean in just a little bit more 'cause I wanna emphasize the thought.

  157. We're gonna go as far as we can.

  158. Don't be mad, uh, if, if we go one, one more week.

  159. I wanna make sure that the Word of God becomes alive to us.

  160. I wanna make sure that we don't take it for granted, 'cause sometimes if you're like me, over the years that I've been, uh, walking with the Lord, you can get 52 different messages, and then you move on to the next thing.

  161. That's not the desire of the Kingdom of God.

  162. Yeah.

  163. When we gather together, literally my responsibility is to equip you- Amen for the work of ministry.

  164. That's good.

  165. I'm a pastor, and God gives you teachers and prophets, evangelists, apostles, so that you and I are equipped for the work of ministry where God's called you to be, and that's just not being a minister like this.

  166. It's, no, you are qualified to minister.

  167. Yeah.

  168. That's good.

  169. That's why I love city groups.

  170. That's the reason why we're like, "Hey, if there's something brewing in you for a football and food small group leader- There's so many people that will fall in love with Jesus- Yeah because of a round ball or a football- Come on or chicken wings.

  171. Come on, somebody.

  172. All right, let's go, let's go.

  173. Stay, stay.

  174. Again, what did pastor preach? I don't know.

  175. I don't know.

  176. But it sure was good.

  177. It sure was good.

  178. All right, Exodus chapter 33, it says this, "So the Lord spoke to Moses," watch now, "face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

    Exodus 33 chapter mention

  179. And Moses would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

  180. Then Moses said to the Lord, 'See, you say to me, "Bring up this people," but you haven't let me know who you're sending with me.

  181. Yet you have said, "I know you by name, and you've also found grace in my sight."

  182. Now therefore, I pray, if I've found grace in your sight, show me now your way, that I may know you, that I may find grace in your sight, and consider that this nation is your people."

  183. And he said, "My presence will go with you.

  184. I will give you rest."

  185. Then he said to him, "If your presence does not go with us, don't you dare bring us up from here.

  186. For how then will it be known that your people and I have found grace in your sight, except you go with us?"" I love that.

  187. Look at me real fast.

  188. Moses is like, "I'm a walking billboard.

  189. If you don't go, they won't see a difference."

  190. Yeah.

  191. "If you don't go, they won't notice you."

  192. Yeah.

  193. That's so good.

  194. Yeah.

  195. Let me repeat that one more time.

  196. "For how then will it be known that your people and I have found grace in your sight, except you go with us? So we shall be separate, your people and I, from all the people who are on the face of the earth."

  197. So the Lord said to Moses, "I will do this thing you have spoken."

  198. Yeah.

  199. "For you have found grace in my sight, and I know you by name."

  200. Yeah.

  201. And he said, "Please show me your glory."

  202. Then he said, "I will make all of my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you.

  203. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will be compassionate on whom I will have compassion."

  204. We said this last week because we said Exodus 33, uh, Moses' conversation with God displays for us how we should be postured and how we should be positioned.

  205. We said this, and I want you to write it down and maybe fill in your blank on your notes.

  206. But we said this, we said that I can be as close to God the Father as I choose to be.

  207. Yeah.

  208. I read it to you in verse 11.

  209. It says that Moses spoke to God face to face as a friend.

  210. You and I will choose how close we want to be You and I get to pursue God at the rate that we choose.

  211. I've spoken to so many, and this is busy seasons of our life.

  212. You and I get to choose what we cancel so that we can have time with God.

  213. I know it sounds hard, doesn't it? But you and I get to go, "That's not as important as Him."

  214. Why? Because if I can't see Him leading, then I just can't go.

  215. Make sure you pay attention to the ark, because you don't know which way you're going.

  216. No, I go to the same job every day.

  217. I know what I got to do when I get there.

  218. Actually, you don't know what Monday has planned for you So you and I will be as close to God as we choose to be.

  219. James chapter 4, we read it for prayer.

    James 4 chapter mention

  220. It says that if you draw near to God, He will draw near to you.

  221. God's not hiding Himself.

  222. He's big enough to be sitting in front of us in plain view.

  223. The thing that we navigate are the day in and day out obstacles, stressors, distractions, and we're going, "God, where are you?" And He's like, "Come closer."

  224. And then we go, "Well, hold on for a second.

  225. Let me watch this show."

  226. "Hold on for a second.

  227. I gotta wake up early in the morning to fly out.

  228. I'll catch you on the flight."

  229. God's like, "If you would just give me an additional moment of time, you'll know where I'm leading you when you land Right? And so it sounds elementary, but it is hard to do sometimes, right? It's the reason why, why I said that you and I will choose whether our moments with God are either religious or they're sacred.

  230. Because when He's in the moment, they are sacred moments.

  231. God will not waste His time.

  232. God is so in love with you, He can't wait to spend time with His kid.

  233. You are a son or daughter if you said yes to the gift of salvation.

  234. And it's the tendency to fight with the religious aspect of I have to rather than I get to Yeah.

  235. So you and I will choose.

  236. We said this, position number two, we said this because it says that Moses went down from the mountain, and Joshua would stay and spend time in the tent.

  237. Like, you and I have to realize, watch now if we're posturing ourselves, that our spiritual growth doesn't end when a spiritual leader or a community is away or something changes.

  238. Like, no one in this place can block your relationship with the Lord.

  239. I can go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.

  240. Yeah.

  241. Be mad at me.

  242. Don't be mad at God.

  243. Right.

  244. Yeah.

  245. Don't, please.

  246. And, and, and, and all of us have probably been guilty.

  247. Church folk are hypocrites.

  248. Broken people- Yep needing a savior.

  249. Yeah.

  250. Every single broken person is walking out their walk with God, and God is changing them and correcting them, and all of us will fight with God, and then some will release faster than others.

  251. But if the person beside you go crazy, that is not the time to flee God's house because of them.

  252. All right now.

  253. If he says, "I will never leave you or never forsake you," human beings do that stuff.

  254. Yeah.

  255. Yeah.

  256. He won't So we have to get out of the way of that's going, that's religious thought.

  257. Sacred moments go, "I'm not leaving you because they acted the fool."

  258. Yeah.

  259. By a show of hands if you, if you, if you're okay.

  260. How many of y'all, if you've been in church for a long time, would say that something or someone in your church atmosphere has ever hurt you? How many of y'all would say that you have eaten something at a restaurant And you wish that you wouldn't have eaten it because you felt the effects How many of y'all have since been fasting all foods? Sounds crazy, but that's what we do to God.

  261. All right.

  262. Come on.

  263. We eat one bad sandwich- Yeah and we go, "I don't wanna eat at all."

  264. Come on.

  265. But yet, in the natural, we'll have that, uh, food and we'll be like, "Ugh, I'm not gonna eat at that restaurant anymore," and we'll go right back to the buffet next week But with God, we go, "I don't like the fact that they sang that song.

  266. I didn't sing that song.

  267. That person acted crazy.

  268. I don't want nothing from your menu My spiritual growth, your spiritual growth doesn't depend You're being planted in God's house.

  269. Doesn't depend Is he here? Is he leading? Can I see where he is going? And if Moses goes down from the mountain and is on a sabbatical- Come on I'm still gonna be planted- That's right because I'm, I've got access to his presence Y'all with me? Yeah.

  270. See, here's what's crazy, is I encourage y'all to read the start of Exodus 33.

  271. Because at the start of Exodus 33, God is having a real-life conversation with Moses about how he is not going with those crusted head people Actually, God said it like this in scripture, "Stiff-necked."

  272. God is like, "Moses, I'm so tired of them people.

  273. I need you to tell them to get out my face."

  274. He didn't say it that way, but that's the way it sounded when I read it See, here's the thing.

  275. We think that God doesn't wanna have honest conversations with us.

  276. But if we get close to him, he'll tell us, "This frustrated me This hurts me I love them so much, but they won't grasp Moses is like, "God There's a promised land that you promised us.

  277. We're supposed to keep walking.

  278. I know how you feel about these people, but I won't walk any further if you don't stay in what you promised you would do for your people.

  279. Yeah.

  280. You said you wouldn't leave them.

  281. You're frustrated with us because we have turned away from you, but can I remind you what you said to us? That's how you talk to a friend We can be as close to God as we choose to be Y'all okay? Yeah.

  282. This is why we not rushing through Exodus 33, because the word of God speaks for itself.

  283. Position number three, and I said I was just gonna give it to y'all quick This is why we need that food and football group this week Watch.

  284. We said this, position number three is the fact that He is Lord.

  285. Because when Moses starts to talk to God, he's like, "Hey, Lord, you said.

  286. You said.

  287. Like, I, I just wanna remind you, Lord, y- what you said."

  288. Like, he, he has moved from being the being, the guy upstairs Like, no, we've seen your faithfulness.

  289. We've seen your goodness.

  290. You revealed yourself to us.

  291. You are the Lord.

  292. You are I Am.

  293. That's how I met you.

  294. You are provider.

  295. You are deliverer.

  296. You are sustainer.

  297. You are peace.

  298. You are a miracle worker.

  299. We've seen it.

  300. So now when I talk to you, I'm close enough as a friend, but I don't take that for granted because you're Lord.

  301. Yeah.

  302. I'm not gonna be so familiar with you that now you my homeboy.

  303. You are my friend, but I still recognize you are Lord, and I wanna remind you based on your lordship, because I'm aligned with you, and I have clarity with you, and I'm, I'm, I'm walking in your promise This is what you said.

  304. And so our heart posture is no matter what, he's simply Lord.

  305. Number four Because he's going, "Lord, you are Lord, and you said you were gonna send somebody.

  306. I don't know who you're gonna send."

  307. We said this, that you and I have permission to be open with Him.

  308. We have permission to be open with Him because we know Him When I was a kid, people would say stuff like this, and I don't know if y'all have ever heard anything like this.

  309. They would say, "You better be careful what you say to the Lord.

  310. You might get struck by lightning."

  311. Anybody ever heard that? Yeah.

  312. I ain't see that in no scripture I've never seen anyone in scripture be struck down in lightning because they're like, "Lord, you know what? We need provision."

  313. Sure.

  314. And so when you hear stuff like that, do you know what that does? That means that I can't be open with him because I might say the wrong thing, he's having a bad day, Right? No, I have permission because I know him to ask him the things that are on my heart that I may need clarity on.

  315. But I have to make sure that I'm not leaving the conversation too soon before he tells me what he's thinking.

  316. So often I'm, I'm like, "God, what are you gonna do? When are you gonna show up?" I'm on the next thing and God's like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, I was just about to answer before you left."

  317. And you left early.

  318. So now you're mad at me because you can't hear me, but you're sprinting, and I'm like still here.

  319. Yes.

  320. Yes.

  321. And, and, and Joshua is telling the people, "Bind yourself so that when you start seeing the obstacles and God's asking more of us, that we're not like flipping out and I'm gone."

  322. Exodus, God, I can't go anywhere until I know that we're lockstep with you Can't do it.

  323. Not gonna do it because I'm rooting to what you said So since you gave me permission as your friend, I'm gonna be open and honest.

  324. Some of us are in the place where we need to engage God again with the open conversation.

  325. Not from the place of frustration, but because we know who He is.

  326. Some of us actually need to have those conversations again by going back to the faithfulness that He's already shown and re-engaging Him, not from, "You won't," but that you already have.

  327. And since you already have, let me express my current state because I know you're faithful.

  328. I just need to remind you of what you said.

  329. I keep talking about my mom, but my mom, when I was little, and I would be in a place of disappointment, and I got through teenage years, she would always say, "Damon, you go and you remind God of what He told you."

  330. You're gonna remind God of what He promised you.

  331. It's the same way that I would remind my dad, "Dad, you said that we were gonna go out and throw a football Dad would stop whatever he was doing.

  332. "Oh, you know what, son? I did say that Position number, position number five.

  333. This is fresh for this week.

  334. Moses has this conversation with God, and he says it in verse 13, and I want...

  335. I, I, I felt like the Lord was like, you know, encouraging me to encourage you.

  336. Watch this here.

  337. It says this, "Now therefore, I pray that if I have found grace in your sight, teach me."

  338. And I felt like the Lord was like, one of the positions that we should have is to, is to desire His delight in us.

  339. Yeah.

  340. To desire His delight in us Moses is like, "If I found grace in your sight, tell me."

  341. Josiah was praying during pre-service prayer and he says, "Some of us have a dream and some of us have just a desire to hear a thank you and I love you There are some in this room who, who you've gone through life not feeling like God loves you, and you're a believer.

  342. It's because of the trials of life and you feel like God's forgotten about you.

  343. Sometimes you, you need to go, "God, my desire is that you delight in me My desire is just to feel your presence.

  344. I don't need anything from you.

  345. I just need to feel that warm hug of Dad.

  346. That's all I need.

  347. Y'all, I pray that prayer as a pastor because we've never been this way before.

  348. Heading into year number 11, we've never pastored a church this size before.

  349. We've been on staff members, staff, you know, staff.

  350. We've never been this way.

  351. We've never needed God like we've needed Him before, and there are times I'm just taking you privately where I'm like, "God, I pray that I'm pleasing you every day.

  352. God, I pray that we're leading your people.

  353. God, I pray that there is grace when we unintentionally hurt.

  354. God, I pray that there will be nothing that we would say or do that would cause them to not want you."

  355. I am asking God to be my daily delight Why? Because it just pulls me closer.

  356. Yeah.

  357. Like, what if you and I desired to be His delight? It moves us from that religious part to the sacred moments.

  358. And worship team, you can come on back up 'cause we're practicing for football and food.

  359. Yes, we are.

  360. I'm serious about that patty.

  361. I had 30 in here.

  362. We're gonna take over Gator's.

  363. Yes, we will, with wings Write this down.

  364. Write this down.

  365. So if, if, if, if, if, if our desire is His delight, then we also need to position ourselves so that He can teach us who He is and how He moves.

  366. I said that last week.

  367. If our desire is for His delight, then we wanna position ourselves for Him to teach us.

  368. Same verse In Exodus.

  369. Like, Lord, I, I, I, I want you to delight in me because I know then you'll teach me what I don't know, and you'll show me where you're moving, which goes back to Joshua.

  370. Let his presence go first.

  371. You keep your eye on him.

  372. You've never been this way before.

  373. Follow after him.

  374. Like, if I can posture myself to just go teach me Then I'm ready to go when you move.

  375. Psalms 86 verse 11 says, "Teach me your way, O Lord, and I'll walk in your truth.

    Psalms 86:11

  376. Unite my heart, bind my heart to fear your name."

  377. Psalms 119:33, and if y'all read Psalms 119, it's one of the longest chapters in all of scripture, but there is like this 10 verse, like literally almost in succession where he's going, "Teach me, teach me, teach me, teach me, teach me, teach me."

    Psalms 119:33

  378. And it's like, oh Lord, you're making yourself available to show me what you're thinking.

  379. It says, "Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statues."

  380. And watch, and I just want you to know that I'm bound to it to the end.

  381. I'll keep it to the end.

  382. It matters to me.

  383. I love it because He's praying all these prayers.

  384. He's going, "God, this is my heart.

  385. I wanna, I want you to delight in me.

  386. I want you to teach me where..."

  387. And I love verse 14.

  388. I love verse 14 because then he reminds God that what he's carrying, he's just a steward.

  389. He goes, "And by the way, if you have any hesitation, these people belong to you."

  390. Like, "Lord, I want you to know that the steps that I'm taking to lead my, in, in my singleness, to lead in my family, to lead in my career, to steward my finances, to be a leader in your church, is because you asked me, and you are the owner.

  391. I'm a manager, and there's no way that I'm gonna be able to lead what you've placed in my hand if you're not there, if you don't teach me, if you're not moving.

  392. If I'm not as close to you as I choose to be, I can't go nowhere, because all of this is yours."

  393. There is a release back to God in this conversation that he's having with a friend that is the Lord of all.

  394. He's like, "So for humility's sake, and a reminder to you, you own it all."

  395. It's a recalibration.

  396. It's a recalibration that you will go with me? Okay.

  397. But it all, it's all yours.

  398. I want you to know that I'm gonna continue to come back to you, God.

  399. I want you to know that I'm not gonna take any ownership of this.

  400. I will manage it as you lead.

  401. I will steward it to the best of my ability, but at the end of the day, you have final say.

  402. So since you have final say, I need the owner to go along.

  403. I need the owner to go along.

  404. I need you to be with me every step of the way.

  405. What if during this last week of 21 days of prayer, every aspect of your life, you gave it back to the Lord? What if we surrendered all of our life back to Him? What if we actually said, "You know what? You own it anyway.

  406. You're in charge."

  407. What if we didn't try to do anything on our own, but we postured ourselves that He can tell us what today looks like in every facet of our life.

  408. We've all got buckets, friends buckets, family bucket, career bucket, health bucket, spiritual bucket, financial bucket.

  409. That's a lot to lead.

  410. What if we just said, "God, you own it all, and I wanna go where you're leading us"? We got a daily challenge to consecrate ourselves Will we take the challenge? Here's a couple more and then, uh, Ty, I'll hand it over to you.

  411. I love it because what Moses is really saying, and write this down in number eight He says he's really saying, "God, your presence is what matters to me."

  412. He's really saying, "Your presence is what matters to me 'Cause he says this in verse 14.

  413. He says, "This is what the Lord says, 'My presence will go with you, and I will rest, and I will give you rest.'

  414. Then he said to him, 'If your presence does not go with us, please don't bring us up from here.

  415. For how will any people know that we found grace in your sight unless you go? How will we be separate from all of the world if you don't go?'" Moses is like, "Your presence above all else is what matters."

  416. You and I have an opportunity this week to be in God's presence.

  417. You have full permission to be as close to the Father as you and I choose to be.

  418. I wrote this down.

  419. His abidance presence, His abiding presence should be what we long for, because He gives us rest Like God can refresh us in one moment of His presence more than a seven-day vacation can do at times.

  420. Because it's spent with Him, our spirit is recharged.

  421. So then if our spirit gets recharged, our body will get recharged for the thing that He's asking us to do.

  422. For my blank, my blank fillers, here you go.

  423. As we are postured and positioned, the Lord is postured and positioned.

  424. He said, "My presence is going with you."

  425. I'm not gonna leave you.

  426. I'm walking with you.

  427. And this was where we will bounce to next week.

  428. Write this down.

  429. I'm gonna give you a precursor We said that we will be as close to God as we choose to be.

  430. But number nine is, I will come as far as you, Lord, will take me.

  431. So I'll be as close to God as I choose to be, but I will go as far as the Lord will take me.

  432. Because here's what Moses says, "Please show me your glory."

  433. And do you know what the Lord says? "Okay.

  434. Since you asked, I'm gonna show you who I am."

  435. When you get to the remaining verses that you lead in to Exodus 34, it says that God says this.

  436. He says, "Hey, listen.

  437. I want you to come stand beside me.

  438. I'm gonna tuck you behind my hand in the cleft of a rock.

  439. I'm gonna walk by you, and you will see all of my glory."

  440. At the beginning, it starts that we'll be as close to God as we choose to be, but as we take each step, you and I will go as far as God begins to take us.

  441. It's just that we have to posture ourselves and go, "God, what part of you haven't we seen yet?" I'm challenging us this week to remain postured and positioned in Jesus' name Thanks for joining us.
