The podcast will feature preaching,
-
from our pastor and from other ministers, so we hope you enjoy it.
-
Without further ado, let's get right into it. God bless.
-
His people. Amen. We're so glad to be with you tonight.
-
God is moving, and I feel the presence of God. I don't even know how to get started right now.
-
I feel like I'm about to run or shake one. I don't know what I'm going to do.
-
Amen. Amen. God is good. Amen. I appreciate that testimony. Amen.
-
How many feels the presence of the Lord?
-
Happy to be back with you all tonight. Excuse me.
-
Amen. But yesterday, I was about to walk out the door, and then Brother Young,
-
called me and said, we're not going to have church tonight.
-
And I was a little disappointed.
-
And in another way, I got me some rest. And then, like moments after he called,
-
my stomach started to give me a little bit of problem.
-
So all things work together for the good, amen?
-
There's nothing that God doesn't see, amen?
-
He's always on time. He knows exactly what you have need of.
-
I'm so happy to have my family with me, Olivia, Joseph, and my wife,
-
Amanda, and this revival, like other revivals, it just seems like as soon as
-
you get started, it's almost over as soon as you get started.
-
Time flies, amen? But we had a good time here Monday night, amen?
-
And I just believe that God's got something in store for tonight, amen.
-
How many of you came expecting tonight?
-
How many came expecting to receive from the Lord? Amen. You can receive what
-
you need tonight if you just put your heart into it.
-
Praise the Lord. Thank you again, Brother Young, for having me and my family be with you.
-
We are always appreciative every time you open the door for us to come back.
-
And I believe that God is going to do great things in this church.
-
Amen. For the coming years and coming months and years ahead. Amen.
-
Amen. Just for a moment, why don't you look at your neighbor and say,
-
it's good to see you tonight. If you don't mean it, repent.
-
We mean it, right? Amen. If you have your Bible tonight, turn with me to Micah chapter 7, verse 8.
-
If you don't know this scripture, then heaven help you.
-
It's one of the most well-known scriptures in all of the entire Bible.
-
Amen. Micah chapter 7, verse 8.
-
Praise the Lord And today or yesterday Brother Young and his wife took us out to eat,
-
And we had a good time Good fellowship in the Lord Appreciate the accommodations
-
and everything The hotel and everything Brother Young, Sister Young Amen I believe
-
in giving honor to whom honor is due Amen Respect,
-
That's what's lacking a lot in this world today Is respect,
-
And people don't even hardly know how to say thank you anymore God help us This world needs revival,
-
This country needs revival Like it's never needed it before I'm convinced of
-
that Amen Micah chapter 7 verse 8 I'll try not to take up much time tonight,
-
Micah chapter 7 verse 8 Rejoice not against me, O my enemy,
-
When I fall, I shall arise. I like that because we are not perfect people.
-
We serve a perfect God tonight. When I fall, I shall arise. And when I sit in
-
darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
-
Now, if we lift our hands to the Lord right now across this sanctuary and begin
-
to pray, amen, we're going to ask God to fill this house tonight with his presence.
-
Lord, I pray that you would help me to do a good job.
-
Rebuke and bind every spirit of distraction and hindrance right now in the atmosphere
-
that would try to shut down our praise, that would try to rob us of our victory.
-
God, I pray, Lord, that you just be God tonight and have your way in this house,
-
Lord, and we give you all the praise, glory, and honor.
-
In Jesus' name, you may be seated.
-
You may be seated in the house of the Lord, But you may not be quiet Amen Amen
-
How many is going to Preach with me tonight?
-
Praise the Lord. Tonight, I want to speak on this thought of resilient people.
-
A resilient people. Amen. A resilient people. A people that don't quit.
-
That don't give up. That don't just, when something, the smallest thing happens,
-
some people just give up.
-
They just throw in the towel and they don't hardly have any stability about them.
-
They don't hardly get any root in them. They're just kind of going through the
-
motions, and they don't get any roots in God where they don't see their self
-
getting stronger in God,
-
but yet they're living for God from time to time, from just putting God on the
-
back burner, putting God on the back burner and just eventually I'll get to
-
church whenever I'm ready to.
-
Amen. You see, you got to have more than that. You got to have a backbone when you live for God.
-
You got to have, amen. I remember whenever my father-in-law first met him,
-
this is way before I married his daughter.
-
He came to my dad's church, and the first time I was with the wrong girl back
-
in 2012, and she was down from Oak Ridge, and I allowed her to just walk on
-
me. First thing he said to me is, you need to grow a backbone, sir.
-
Well, it's good to meet you too. Amen. But he was being honest. It was tough love.
-
And he's said many things since then that I kind of got offended and upset over,
-
but he was right all along.
-
We got to get tough skinned.
-
Amen. The enemy may knock you down, but you got to respond. Amen.
-
By saying, I'm going to trust in God.
-
I'm going to give this another chance. I'm going back to the house of the Lord.
-
I'm going to keep on fighting the good fight of faith. I'm going to lay hold
-
on eternal life. Amen. Don't let the devil steal your crown.
-
Don't let the devil steal your joy. Don't let the devil steal your peace.
-
I said it on Sunday morning. I said, you got to keep going.
-
You got to get up. you've got to rise up and say, hey man, maybe all of hell
-
is against me, but praise God, I've got a God who is for me, who has not left me,
-
he's on my side, and I want to know tonight, do you believe you're on the winning
-
side? Come on, clap your hands.
-
Praise God. We're on the winning side. We're going to make it to heaven. Praise God.
-
Some people want to serve the devil and they want to hail devil and all that
-
stuff. You know it's true.
-
I don't understand that mind. They're deceptive. They're deceived,
-
I mean. But when you've got a sound mind in you and you have a...
-
To preach hard sometimes, don't we, Brother Young? Amen. But I don't want to get offended.
-
Oh, my, we're living in a mamsy-pamsy generation where everybody gets offended
-
over the least little thing.
-
It's time to grow that backbone and say, hey, amen, if I'm going to be hurt.
-
Resilient people, say resilient, has the ability to recover, to recover.
-
How many needs a recovery tonight?
-
Amen? Maybe somebody said something to you you didn't like, and it hurt your
-
feelings. I've been there.
-
Amen? But I cannot become weak and thin-skinned where that stuff hurts me.
-
I've got to become thick-skinned and say, you know what? I'm just going to bounce
-
back up after the enemy knocks me down.
-
Amen? The Bible says, when I fall.
-
Praise the Lord, all you people. Amen. So we had a power outage last night.
-
Knocked us out of service. Make sure you don't have a power outage in your life in serving God.
-
Make sure you don't start out and then just fizzle out.
-
Make sure you don't lamp out, but make sure the fire is still burning inside of you.
-
Amen. The only way you can overcome the devil and.
-
Resiliency is getting back up when life knocks you down.
-
One of the most strong and most powerful verses in the entire Bible is this
-
very verse of resilience and faith, amen, and hard times and bad times.
-
We face a little adversity here and there, but God woke you up this morning.
-
He put breath in your body. He put you in your sound mind.
-
He clothed you today with righteousness. Amen.
-
What are you going to do for God today?
-
Come on, we need to rise up. We need to rise up.
-
We don't need to accept failure. We don't need to accept that I'm weak or I'm
-
some weak flesh or something.
-
We're more than that. We're more than a conqueror. We're more than a conqueror.
-
To hit you on every side but you've got a shield that protects you
-
that is the lord jesus christ tonight he is a 360 degree shield all around you
-
even in blind spots god is able to detect that.
-
Praise God. I'm usually more rowdy than this.
-
Man, I love to praise God. I love to sing the songs.
-
I love to worship the Lord. Amen. He's a good God.
-
He's not a has-been God.
-
He's not a, oh, I used to be God. He's a right now God.
-
He's a suddenly God. Whatever your need is tonight, all you got to do is call
-
on the name of the Lord, and you can receive your touch.
-
He wants them to thank you done for it's over you had a good run no devil your
-
time's about up let me remind you satan everybody do it with me your your kingdom is coming down,
-
hey man that just gives me a little joy and a little skip in my walk hey man
-
when i think about all this evil and perversion and craziness going on in the
-
world it's just a short time it's going to be over and god is going to destroy
-
sin he's going to destroy the devil
-
the false prophet and the Antichrist and all of that, but we which.
-
My, what a time we had here Monday night. I can't get over it.
-
Amen. Is it going okay tonight?
-
When I fall, failure happens. The Bible says this, that a just man falls seven times.
-
Somebody living for God, trying with all their heart. They're still subject
-
to failure and messing up, thinking the wrong thing, saying the wrong thing.
-
Anybody ever been there?
-
Since your time coming to the Lord, have you been there? How could they do that? What?
-
Really? There's no super Christians. There's a super God. You don't need a super
-
man. You need a super God.
-
Amen. So when I fall, I shall rise. Somebody say that with me. I'm getting back up.
-
I'm going to climb my way back and I can't do it on my own. Amen.
-
It's not my might. It's not by human might or human ability.
-
It's by His Spirit. That.
-
Your life around, to raise you up and say to you and I, keep going.
-
Keep on marching. Amen. There's a hell to shine. There's a heaven to gain. Amen.
-
You've got everything to get a hold of and to receive in your future.
-
Don't worry about the past no more. I'm so glad I know him tonight.
-
Amen Jesus is God Jesus is King Jesus, I want to say it loud.
-
Amen. So your faith in God is the only way to get back up on your feet.
-
That's the only way to do it. That's the only way to have a good life is by
-
living with God, living your life for God, living the best life is living the
-
blessed life, living in accordance to God's will, living in tune and connection
-
with his word. Amen.
-
And every time the enemy tries to knock you down, You need to remember and let
-
this resound through your mind and soul tonight that the enemy does not possess a knockout punch.
-
Anybody know about boxing? Amen. Praise God.
-
You got to just keep on going. You got to go the distance. Amen.
-
It's not a quick knockout. The devil's won and he's over. You rejoice and say,
-
what are you going to do? I think we need to surprise the enemy and say, look here, devil.
-
This is my last time. I may be knocked down today, but I'm rising up tomorrow.
-
I'm going to get back up. I'm going to look you square between the eyes,
-
and I'm going to tell you how it is instead of you telling me how it is.
-
Amen. I choose to have joy.
-
It's not for the faint of heart. It's not for the softies. I tell somebody,
-
sometimes I say, this generation is soft as cotton ale.
-
They don't make them like they used to. My Lord, my grandpa,
-
and some of my loved one that's already went on, they have some grit about them.
-
They have some determination about them. And I believe there's a few of them
-
left in the earth, but it's time to get more incorporated and recruited back into that field.
-
Come on, we gotta be like, Amen. We got to have that tough skin.
-
Amen. We got to rise up and say, not on my watch.
-
Or do I let some situation or some adversity or something just cause me to stumble
-
and I just give up? I don't know, I lost my joy somewhere. I lost my peace somewhere.
-
I used to praise God. I used to worship God. I used to really get in there at
-
the altar call. Don't used to anymore. Be like God, he's still got it.
-
You need to still have it yourself.
-
Amen. A stumble is not an identity. Amen. If you stumble, get back up,
-
rise back up, and say, here I am, God. I know you've never left me.
-
You're a friend that's sticking closer than my brother. You're a friend that's
-
sticking closer than anyone else in my life, God.
-
So I'm gonna do this, Lord. I'm gonna lift my hands to you, Lord.
-
I'm gonna take my hands away from my problem.
-
Praise God. Thank you. Keep on clapping. Somebody do something apostolic.
-
Amen. Say that again with me. There is life after the fall.
-
David failed. What was David? He was a man after God's own heart.
-
Moses failed. Look at Moses, prophet of the Lord.
-
Amen. That God used mightily. Took somebody's life back in Egypt.
-
But still God forgave him.
-
And he went on to do many marvelous and miraculous things.
-
Peter, who denied the Lord three times, was the one standing up on the day of
-
Pentecost delivering the plan of salvation message to the Greeks and to the Gentiles.
-
Amen. And tonight, don't think that.
-
And you probably couldn't see the sun this morning, but I guarantee you it's out there.
-
Amen. Amen. When it came up, the mercy of Jesus Christ came up with it.
-
Amen. So tonight, me and you need to stop seeing ourselves as failures and start seeing what God sees.
-
Amen. A man or a woman that can change the world, that can make a difference
-
in the area that they're at and the people that they are around.
-
Amen. We are more than conquerors. We are overcoming.
-
Where would we be I'm so glad I'm not hell-bound,
-
and I don't feel worthy at all of God's goodness in my life,
-
do you I don't feel worthy of any of it praise God but he sees something in
-
you and I thank God we don't see it ourself if you do then you got pride,
-
I'm a nobody somebody say that I'm just I'm just a nobody that song says try
-
to tell everybody all about something I have a nobody but I know somebody,
-
there's nothing good about me but the Holy Ghost that lives in me I'm just a
-
bag of bones and just dust that's all I am amen but when the Holy Ghost comes
-
in amen they give me power,
-
over all the unclean spirits of the enemy even that old enemy that knocks me
-
down a man oh devil I'm not gonna listen to you I'm gonna rise back up on my feet.
-
Lord, I come at you in the name of the Lord of hosts.
-
So that big old giant that knocks you down says, look at you.
-
I know what you are. I know who you are. Amen.
-
David said this, I come at you with the name of the Lord of hosts.
-
You come with me at these materialistic weapons, sword, shield,
-
and spear. But listen, I come to you.
-
If you're a believer tonight and you're being baptized in the name of Jesus
-
and filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
Japanese Proverbs said this, and I think whoever wrote this was reading the Word of God.
-
Fall seven times, rise up eight.
-
Winston Churchill, you know who that is? Way back there in the 1940s,
-
he said failure is not fatal.
-
It's not final. It's not the end of the story. It's just a temporary holding
-
place because the moment you realize that my God's greater than all my problems, Amen.
-
Back to my feet I come. Amen. Amen. See, if you get knocked down,
-
it does not mean you are done for.
-
It does not mean it's over. It's final.
-
Unless you choose not to look to the Lord again.
-
Amen. But if you say, hey, I'm looking back to the Lord.
-
I'm looking on him. I'm casting my eyes on him. I'm casting my cares on him. Amen.
-
When I fall, I shall arise. Amen. Falling down does not make you a failure.
-
Choosing to stay down makes you a failure.
-
Choosing to stay there and doing nothing about it. Get up, weakling. Get up.
-
Man's a pansy. Amen. We got to get that grit, determination.
-
Fight the good fight. Paul said, I tell you, one of the best people in the Bible
-
to read about is Paul. He said, I have fought a good fight.
-
I have kept the faith. I have finished my course. Church, we're in a fight right now.
-
America's in a fight right now. You know what it's a fight over?
-
Islam versus Christianity. Right up there in Chicago, they're marching in the
-
streets. But I saw the other day that Christians were coming down that same street marching.
-
Amen. We're not supposed to be intimidated by the enemy.
-
We're not supposed to be intimidated. We're supposed to be intimidating.
-
Amen. Because we're more than conquerors. We're children of God.
-
Amen. And the victory is ours.
-
We don't have to live our life in fear, but we can rise up in faith. Amen.
-
Fear knocked on the door, and faith answered, and fear ran in the opposite direction. Praise God.
-
When I submitted to God, the enemy fled from me.
-
Our feet at this time. We're going to praise the Lord. Amen.
-
We're going to worship the Lord. If the musicians could come ahead at this time,
-
amen, we're going to have an altar call. We're going to see what the Lord will do tonight.
-
The Bible says that God will confirm his word with signs following.
-
How many believes that? So don't give up.
-
Don't give in. That one right there is a big one.
-
Don't give in, but I'm too weak. Well, get strong, right?
-
I've been there. Somewhere along the line, I learned to trust God more and seek
-
him more and study his word more.
-
Anybody know what I'm talking about? Can I get a witness? Like the black people
-
say, can I get a witness up in here?
-
Brother Young, I pray that black people come to share. I'll tell you.
-
You get some Spanish people, black people, you get some multicultural,
-
you talk about, Woo, hallelujah. They don't know when to sit down.
-
Amen. But we got some faithful saints here tonight and I can hear some amens
-
and I can hear some hungry lips.
-
People love God here tonight. And I want to tell you tonight,
-
whatever you're going through, amen, it's all about where you're going to.
-
It's not going to be an easy ride, Brother Jamie, Jamie or James,
-
Jamie, it's not going to be an easy ride. It's not an easy ride for any of us.
-
Amen. But God will keep you.
-
He's a keeping God. If we trust Him, give Him our heart. Amen.
-
God will sustain us. He'll keep us from day to day when temptation or trials come our way.
-
I'm going to go to the Word of God. I'm going to pray. I'm going to seek the face of God.
-
I'm going to overcome this thing. I'm going to overcome that.
-
And I'm going to say, look what the Lord has done. All the credit belongs to God.
-
And get back up and say, here I come, devil. In the name of the Lord,
-
you're going down in Jesus' name.
-
Praise the Lord. I feel the Holy Ghost in here and it's burning in here.
-
I feel like somebody turned up the heat in here.
-
Good to see you, James. I mean, I hardly recognize you on day one, first service.
-
But I want to tell you something I feel in the spirit.
-
The best of your life is not behind you. The best of your life is still in front of you.
-
I feel led to say that tonight. Amen. Not because I feel pressure to say it.
-
I feel like saying that tonight.
-
Amen. Your life is not over. Your life has just begun. Amen.
-
It's going to be okay. Amen. You're going to make it. Why? Because there's a God that has never.
-
Lord is in this house. His goodness is moving through this place.
-
Hallelujah. In Jesus' mighty name right,
-
now. Thank you for listening to our podcast. Southwest Apostolic Church is a place of refuge.
