Eternal Rewards Pt. 2

-
This is Ronald Hopkins, and thank you for joining the Life Center Church.
-
Um, we started last week talking about the eternal rewards.
-
There's so much to cover uh that I needed as much time as possible.
-
Really, as I mentioned last week, we can spend the entire rest of the year if we really wanted to go in depth about this.
-
So we're gonna cover some things today, and uh I know we won't get done for sure because there's a lot.
-
So let's go back to Colossians chapter 3.
Colossians 3 chapter mention
-
Colossians chapter 3.
Colossians 3 chapter mention
-
Now, I've been noticing this a couple of weeks.
-
Um how many of you don't have the church app?
-
Raise your hand.
-
You don't have the church app.
-
Okay, so you don't have to take pictures of the screen because if you pull up the app, everything that I don't cover is actually there.
-
So all of the notes have been designed specifically for you to go back throughout the week.
-
Yeah, that's a whole lot better.
-
Um, to go throughout the week to make sure that you stay connected.
-
So, Colossians chapter 3, verse number 2 says, set your affection on things above, not on things of the earth.
Colossians 3 chapter mention
-
The amplifier says it this way set your mind.
-
So, set.
-
It's a fixed position.
-
So our fixed position should be keeping focus habitually.
-
So if you want to talk about developing some real habits, a real habit or a real lifestyle for those who are born again, we should be focusing in on things that are above and not things that are beneath.
-
In other words, it's good to have a house, cool.
-
It's good to drive a nice car, cool.
-
It's good to have a 401k or 403B, cool.
-
But the reality is you won't take any of that to heaven with you.
-
You won't need money in heaven, you won't need a car in heaven.
-
You won't even need your your look.
-
What you think is good for a house, it's raggedy in heaven.
-
So we should be about focusing on what's most important and what's most valuable.
-
It goes on to say, set your mind and keep focus habitually on the things above, the heavenly things, not on things that are on the earth, watch this, which have only a temporal value.
-
So your Gucci, your Louis Vuitton, all this designer stuff that we focus in on.
-
It's only temporary.
-
And if truth be told, they're overcharging you anyway for it.
-
So you're wasting God's money on temporary stuff that you will never use in heaven.
-
So let's jump right back into this today.
-
Point number one.
-
You must establish a solid foundation.
-
You must establish a solid foundation.
-
Now, if you weren't here last week, our foundation text that we started off with, 2 Corinthians chapter 5, verse number 10, it says, I know this is not on the screen, we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5 chapter mention
-
So every born-again believer will have to stand face to face with God.
-
I want you to really understand that.
-
You and I, with no other audience other than the people that are watching you, get your reward.
-
You will stand face to face before God, and he will begin to evaluate what you did while you were in the earth.
-
Whatever amount of time you lived your life in this earth, you and I will stand before God, face to face, and we will be evaluated.
-
Good or bad.
-
And so it says that each one of us, you will get paid for your deeds.
-
So there is a payday that's coming.
-
It's not like your job.
-
And you may not get the reward while you're here on earth.
-
Honestly, I don't need the reward while I'm here on the earth.
-
Because the reward when you stand before God, it is eternal, it will last forever.
-
And I want you to understand that these Old Testament saints, they will be excited to see you because of the things that have been revealed in this dispensation that they were not exposed to.
-
So they're looking at you right now and saying, whoa.
-
Like the Holy Ghost lives on the inside of them, and yet we take him for granted.
-
Praying in the Holy Ghost.
-
We take things like that for granted.
-
And they're like, whoa, do they not do they not understand?
-
There's gonna be a payday that's gonna happen.
-
I'm getting paid.
-
Now let's go to 1 Corinthians chapter 3.
1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention
-
1 Corinthians chapter 3.
1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention
-
Verse number 1 says, For other foundations can no man lay that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
-
Verse number 12 says, now if any man build upon this foundation, we'll talk more about this.
-
So the foundation or the structure of our lives should be the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Meaning, when you get born again, you acknowledge Jesus as your Lord, Master, and Savior.
-
Your life should now be built upon the word, sir.
-
Not your emotions, not your feelings, not a religious activity.
-
It should be now constructed based upon chapter and verse, based upon what he says.
-
It is important how you build your life, it is important the structure of your life because what happens when life starts happening and your foundation is not the word, then you begin to crumble.
-
You begin to make emotional decisions or you say things that are not in line with the word, and now your life is all over the place because you started accepting Jesus, but it stopped there.
-
You have to get to the place where you build your life, and your life is constructed upon the word.
-
Because what I'm going to show you today, it will determine what kind of house you actually live in in heaven.
-
Notice, he says, if any man build upon this foundation, foundation, your foundation.
-
So your foundation does matter.
-
You can be weak or you can be strong based upon your foundation.
-
You can be smart or you can be foolish based upon your foundation.
-
So your foundation and the structure of your foundation actually matters.
-
You can have a solid foundation, but then not put up any drywall.
-
Watch out.
-
Watch out now.
-
Use the wrong material.
-
So you can accept Jesus as your Lord and Master and Savior, but not build a proper structure.
-
It's important that we understand what we're building because every single day of your life, you're building something.
-
Whether you understand that, you're building something.
-
Now, we started here, we ended up here last week.
-
Let's go back here today.
-
1 Corinthians chapter 3, verse number 13.
1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention
-
Because when we stand before the Father, we will be evaluated.
-
I'm going to give you four ways in which we will all be evaluated on.
-
Number one, our works.
-
What did you do?
-
He's going to ask you, what did you do for me?
-
What did you do?
-
Now, 1 Corinthians chapter 3, verse number 13 says, every man's work shall be manifest.
1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention
-
So you can't hide.
-
I did this.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no.
-
It's going to be revealed what you actually did.
-
Every man's work, the word work here actually means your actions.
-
So your actions before God will be revealed.
-
Every action, I want you to really think about that.
-
Every action, every reaction.
-
Every deed, everything you did, everything you did, your service or your lack of service.
-
Your decisions.
-
So all your decisions, all your deeds, all your acts will come before the Father.
-
How you lived your life.
-
We're going to stand before the Father and give an account.
-
How you lived your life, how you treated your body, what you put in your body, what you listened to, what you watch.
-
What you did with your time.
-
And the question will be: what did you do with what he gave you?
-
We're going to stand before him and he's going to say, What did you do with what I put in your hand?
-
Go to John chapter 17.
John 17 chapter mention
-
John chapter 17, verse number 4.
John 17 chapter mention
-
Notice Jesus modeled this for us.
-
He says, I have glorified thee on earth.
-
So Jesus said that everything that I do while I was in this earth, it glorified the Father.
-
I want you to think about that because everything that you do, who is it giving honor to?
-
Because Jesus says, when I came into this earth, I came into this earth suit, everything that I did glorified God.
-
His mouth.
-
And then notice what else he said.
-
I finished the work and what you gave me to do.
-
I didn't just start it.
-
I started and I finished everything that you told me to do.
-
Activity isn't the same as production.
-
Because many of God's people are actively doing things that He didn't tell you to do, and it's not producing His fruit.
-
Because you still can be busy and not do what God assigns you to do.
-
There are many that are in the body of Christ.
-
You are busy, busy, busy, and it looks good for people.
-
But it's not what He told you to do.
-
And when we stand before Him, we will be evaluated.
-
Your life is an assignment.
-
You're not just down here just because.
-
Your life has a specific purpose.
-
There's a reason why God placed you here.
-
It's not to just eat.
-
Hello.
-
You're doing that.
-
You eat Monday through Sunday.
-
Snacking.
-
Getting fooled, then falling asleep.
-
Life is more than just that.
-
Notice Jesus was working.
-
He understood that he only had a specific amount of time to finish the work.
-
And once he finished that time, he had to go before God.
-
And notice, even God, because God set up the eternal reward system, notice because of what Jesus did, his work, and he finished his work, he was given a name that was above all other names.
-
That was his reward.
-
Paul was reward-minded.
-
Paul was about, I must finish the course.
-
God is into giving you your reward when you finish your assignment.
-
Now, number two.
-
Our motives.
-
Go to 1 Corinthians chapter 4.
1 Corinthians 4 chapter mention
-
Why I did what I did.
-
So we will stand before the Father to give an account about the why.
-
Why did you respond that way?
-
Why did you say that?
-
Why did you do that?
-
That's why remember, if the foundation of Jesus, and then you build your life on the word, then you won't respond out of your flesh.
-
First Corinthians chapter 4, verse number 5 says, So don't make judgments about anyone ahead of time.
1 Corinthians 4 chapter mention
-
Stop judging people.
-
Before the Lord returns, He will bring our darkest secrets to light, and He will reveal our private motives.
-
Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.
-
So you've got to ask yourself the question: why am I doing what I'm doing?
-
There are things that are happening in you that nobody else can see.
-
But you know who sees it?
-
Because he judges what no one else can see.
-
Man judges what he can see.
-
But God is going to judge you what no one else sees.
-
People see what you do.
-
So does God.
-
The judgment seat will reveal what nobody else knew about you.
-
Go to Matthew chapter six.
-
Matthew chapter six, verse number one from the Amplified Classic, it says, take care not to do your good deeds publicly before men.
-
In order to be seen by them.
-
Otherwise, you will have no reward reserved for you and awaiting you with and from your Father who is in heaven.
-
Whoever you are performing for becomes the audience you're expecting a reward from.
-
So if you are doing things for people, you then will expect a reward from people.
-
But if you're doing things for God, then the expectation is God sees what I'm doing, God knows my heart, and I'm going to get a reward from the Father, not man.
-
Number three, we will be evaluated by our words.
-
What did you say?
-
What did you say?
-
Go to Matthew chapter twelve.
-
By your words.
-
See if we have revelation of this.
-
We probably shouldn't say it.
-
Matthew chapter 12, verse number 36 says, and I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day.
Matthew 12 chapter mention
-
For every idle word you speak.
-
Every inactive, every unproductive, every useless, every careless, every word that did not benefit you or somebody else, you and I will stand before the Lord and we will have to give an account on words.
-
That's what it says.
-
I'm sure you you've understood this that words do have consequences.
-
And some words you cannot take back.
-
Let me give you another.
-
Proverbs 13.
-
Showing you the four ways that we will be evaluated.
-
Proverbs 13, 3.
-
It says, the one who guards his mouth.
-
Thinking before he speaks.
-
Thinking before he speaks.
-
Think about what you're going to say before it comes out of your mouth.
-
Listen to the Holy Ghost to determine what he's going to tell you to say.
-
The one who guards his mouth thinking before he speaks, notice what happens.
-
You're going to protect your life.
-
The one who opens his lips wide and chatters without thinking comes to ruin.
-
Sometimes the most spiritual and mature thing that should come out of your mouth is that I'm not going to say a word.
-
Don't don't say it.
-
You run in your mouth.
-
And you will stand before God because of the words that you use to hurt somebody.
-
Number four our stewardship.
-
What did you do with what he gave you?
-
What'd you do with that money?
-
What'd you do with your car?
-
What'd you do with your house?
-
What'd you do with the talent that he gave you?
-
Right?
-
Matthew chapter 25.
Matthew 25 chapter mention
-
Verse number 15.
-
It says, And he gave five bags of silver to one, and two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last, dividing it in proportion to their abilities.
-
And then he left to go on his trip.
-
So this is a parable about the Lord giving gifts.
-
Notice he gave them gifts and he left.
-
He is going to return.
-
And you and I will give an account based upon our stewardship.
-
How did you steward that money he gave you?
-
Verse number 19 says, and after a long time, after a long time, Jesus is coming back.
-
That's a long, he hasn't returned yet.
-
It's a long time.
-
Why?
-
Because his expectation is that you are building your rewards while you are on the earth.
-
Because when he comes again, you will have to give an account of your stewardship.
-
How did you treat your body?
-
The master returned from his ship and he called them to give an account of how they use.
-
Notice this.
-
How they use his money.
-
You think that's your money?
-
I'm not giving.
-
You're gonna give an account before that.
-
The pastor, yeah, he's gonna give an account too, but so are you.
-
That's right, that's right, that's right.
-
The scripture says his money.
-
You think that's your money you working for?
-
That's not your money.
-
You think that's your body?
-
It's not even your body.
-
It's God's body.
-
You and I will give an account about how we treated his money, his body, his mind.
-
You are not your own.
-
You're gonna give an account.
-
You're gonna stand before him.
-
See how we just think that other things are more important?
-
And we've been focusing in on other things, other than realizing that one day how I live my life now will determine how I live for eternity.
-
You have to pay attention to what you're really focusing in.
-
You and I will have to give an account on how you raised your kids.
-
Whether you gave them a tablet and you just didn't teach them the word, didn't bring them to church, didn't sacrifice.
-
He is a judge.
-
We will be judged fairly.
-
And what's interesting is that we have all the tools that we need to get the rewards we're supposed to have.
-
We just don't read the Bible.
-
Yeah, that's true.
-
Christians don't read the Bible.
-
We got galaxy.
-
And the servant to whom he had entrusted, notice he has entrusted us with stuff.
-
He trusted us to do the right things.
-
He entrusted the five bags of silver, came to work with five more, and he said, Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.
-
He was productive of what the father entrusted in his hand, so he produced more.
-
And the master was full of praise.
-
I firmly believe this is what every believer wants to hear.
-
Well done.
-
Yes, sir.
-
My good notice this key word.
-
Faithful.
-
Are you faithful?
-
We are going to stand before God to be judged on whether or not we were faithful.
-
Thank you, Lord.
-
How committed are you to the things of God, to the church of the Lord Jesus Christ?
-
How faithful are you?
-
Your faithfulness, you're gonna get paid for your lack of faithfulness because the reward will be removed.
-
And when you read the rest of this parable, you will see that the one who did not do or he did not produce, it was taken away and given to somebody else.
-
Meaning, because you're born again, you and I will go to heaven.
-
Praise the Lord.
-
And the Lord will praise us for that.
-
But I also want you to understand that when you don't do what you're supposed to do, that reward that you're supposed to get.
-
See, when you work for God, you understand this.
-
I don't work for a man.
-
And when I was on staff at multiple places over the last 20 plus years, I understood that although this man stands before me and he may be the pastor who operates also as a CEO, I don't work for him.
-
So I don't look for the approval of what I'm doing.
-
See, I understood that.
-
That's why I could be free to go wherever the Lord would send me and do what the Lord would ask me to do, and I would do it because I'm doing it unto him.
-
Because when I'm doing it unto him, I'm going to be rewarded by him and not man.
-
So I work for God.
-
He had to tell me to get up on time.
-
He didn't have to tell me to use my gifts to advance his church, his organization, his living organism.
-
Because I understood that one day when I check up out of this body and I stand before him, I'm gonna have to give an account.
-
Did you use basketball to glorify me?
-
Or did you use it to prostitute your body?
-
Did you use your gift of song because I called you to sing?
-
Did you use it for worldly people and to benefit financially, or did you use that voice to bring honor and glory to me?
-
What about those instruments?
-
Are you using those instruments because there are, I might as well say it because I'm already out here now.
-
Using God's gift to profit.
-
You will find this is the spirit of Lucifer that's happening in many churches right now.
-
Because they're church hopping for profit.
-
I'm not sure where you find that in the scripture at.
-
And who are you pimping?
-
The pastors.
-
You're getting pimped because now they're going from church to church, playing, not even connected, not even ushering in the presence of God because they getting paid.
-
You have to stand before God to give an account before God.
-
That's dangerous when you don't understand this.
-
Nobody should have to pump you up to do anything for God.
-
It's an honor that he asks you to do anything.
-
Yes, sir.
-
Wherever you want me to go, wherever you want me to do, I'll do it and I'll stay as long as you need me to stay.
-
And it will be uncomfortable.
-
See, you can't tell me because I done lived this.
-
I told the Lord when we went to Bible school, Lord, I'll go wherever you want me to go.
-
I'll do whatever you want me to do.
-
He said that.
-
And that's what happened too.
-
And what man sees, God doesn't see.
-
Okay.
-
So your faithfulness is being recorded.
-
Your faithfulness.
-
You're gonna get a reward for that.
-
How you manage your body.
-
Your time, your talents, your opportunities to do things for God, and you thought you had time.
-
Like, oh yeah, I'll do that next year.
-
I'll get to that next year.
-
I'll do that next week.
-
We waste time.
-
Now, let's start getting into this.
-
Point number two.
-
The fire will determine the quality.
-
The fire.
-
The fire.
-
The fire will determine your quality.
-
Now, let's go to 1 Corinthians 13.
-
Let's go back there and let's build on this.
-
Because you will find that everything you build in life will fall into these two categories.
-
Help us grow.
-
1 Corinthians chapter 3, verse number 13, and we'll read it all the way through 15.
1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention
-
Every man's work shall be manifest, for the days shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire.
-
And the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
-
And if any man's work above abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
-
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss.
-
But he himself shall be saved.
-
So you're going to be saved, it's about your works.
-
Yet so as by fire.
-
Fire to your work.
-
Somebody say fire.
-
Now, Tina, put up the first graphic so you all can see this.
-
Let's look at that one.
-
They remember the last graphic.
-
Go back.
-
Not that one.
-
Go back.
-
That's the second one.
-
Not that one.
-
Not not that one.
-
It's the one with gold, silver, and precious stones.
-
They like, don't put that hell one back up again.
-
There we go.
-
So gold, silver, and precious stones have eternal value.
-
This is what's going to survive the fire.
-
So whatever survives is what's rewarded.
-
So then it should bear to ask the question.
-
What kind of things make up gold, silver, and precious stones?
-
Because whatever those things, those works are that I'm producing, he's going to take fire next to those things.
-
And once the fire is going to try those things.
-
And if the fire doesn't burn, those works, then that's going to determine whether or not I get a reward.
-
Is that clear?
-
Very clear.
-
Okay.
-
Very clear.
-
So now you can put this in the category.
-
And there are multiple works that we should be doing.
-
The first one.
-
Go to John chapter 14.
John 14 chapter mention
-
John 14.
-
That's why we shouldn't judge other people.
-
We should pay more attention to our lifestyle than other folks.
-
John chapter 14, verse number 15, Jesus says, If you love me.
John 14 chapter mention
-
In your face.
-
That's a key West.
-
That word if.
-
If you actually love me, if you love me, you keep my commandments.
-
That's very clear.
-
So, in other words, one of the first things we should do to continue to build our heavenly reward, number one, is we should constantly obey God.
-
It is possible to accept Jesus into your heart and refuse to do what he's telling you to do.
-
Let me say that again in case you didn't understand that.
-
It is possible to say, yes, Jesus is Lord over my life, but I'm gonna refuse to walk in love with this person.
-
I mean, it's possible that you say you love God and you don't forgive people.
-
It is possible to say that Jesus might be Lord over your life and you don't pray for people.
-
And so if we're building up our rewards, then we have to be people.
-
When the Lord will ask us to do something, we should be quick to say, yes, Lord, your son or your daughter hears.
-
Obedience isn't popular.
-
It isn't popular to go with God because you're going against the world's culture.
-
You have to be willing to stand with God and God alone, even if you are the only person.
-
Obedience will cost you.
-
I don't know if we fully understand the cost of discipleship.
-
Do you realize the disciples left everything to follow him?
-
See, we just think that it's just I accept Jesus into my heart.
-
No, no, you may have to leave your mother and your father.
-
You want to make sure you marry the right person.
-
It's a sacrifice to be a sold-out, on fire person that's gonna follow and line up your life with Jesus.
-
Obedience is gonna cost you your life.
-
Are you actually willing to give your life for this?
-
That's a question.
-
The Lord Jesus Christ came to the earth and proved it.
-
Are you willing to sacrifice your time that's not even yours?
-
The resources that is not even yours, your body that's not even yours.
-
Are you willing to give all of that up for him so he can be glorified?
-
Because when you stand before him, he's going to reward you.
-
I need you to get, he's going to reward you.
-
The stuff here is temporary.
-
The reward is eternal, it's forever.
-
It never fades away, it never gets old.
-
It's an eternal reward that will last you forever.
-
Ooh, I got so many of these.
-
Number two.
-
Go to 1 Corinthians chapter 4.
1 Corinthians 4 chapter mention
-
Yeah, I'm just gonna take my time.
-
I was gonna give you a couple of these because I want you to build your heavenly reward system.
-
Yep.
-
1 Corinthians chapter 4, verse number 2.
1 Corinthians 4 chapter mention
-
It says, moreover, it is required.
-
It's a requirement.
-
This is required.
-
There are certain things that if you have a job, it's required.
-
It's required.
-
It's required that you wear clothes.
-
That shouldn't be a surprise.
-
It's a requirement that you come to the place of employment fully clothed.
-
But if you come in and you're not fully clothed, don't be upset if they send you home.
-
In a cup cup.
-
In a police vehicle.
-
Notice it says, moreover, it is required, it's required in stewardship that a man be found.
-
Faithful.
-
God doesn't require everybody to have the same assignment.
-
He requires us to be faithful with our own individual assignment.
-
So you and I have to be found faithful in whatever assignment that God has given unto you, because depend upon the level of your faithfulness will determine the level of your reward.
-
So He's requiring you to be faithful.
-
Have you been faithful with teaching your children the word?
-
Not that's my grandmother's job.
-
No, God gave you those.
-
Children, he entrusted you with those children so that you can raise them with fear and admonition of the Lord because God is looking for godly children.
-
Have you been faithful in teaching them the word, bringing them to church, creating an atmosphere where God is welcoming your home?
-
Have you been faithful?
-
Are you faithful to your spouse?
-
And I'm not talking about tiptoeing out, I'm talking about being emotionally faithful.
-
We are going to stand before the Lord to give an account on our faithfulness to our assignment.
-
That becomes dangerous if you don't know your assignment.
-
Lord, why am I here?
-
Like, like why why why why am I here?
-
Why am I too being here?
-
If God has called you to be, if he called you to clean a building, are you demonstrating faithfulness in that?
-
See, I remember for a season the Lord called me into education.
-
Was I faithful in my preparation to educate?
-
Was I faithful over those children?
-
Because my faithfulness was different because of what I knew.
-
So my faithfulness for me was I know the word.
-
I have a responsibility to just educate these kids.
-
I have a responsibility to pray for them.
-
Because what I knew, what I heard, God will hold you accountable to what you know.
-
See, when you you go to a word church, it will be better if you never came up in here.
-
Then if you were just somebody on the street and you never heard what you heard coming from the lights in the church.
-
You know why?
-
Because you will be held responsible for what you heard.
-
I I didn't hear that.
-
Yo no, you heard it here.
-
See, in all my coming up, I've never heard from the places I was at this eternal reward.
-
Not one time.
-
Okay.
-
Um you don't have this one, I believe, Tina, so I'm gonna stick with what I I'm gonna I'm not gonna cheat y'all from this.
-
Go to Matthew chapter six, talking about building your heavenly rewards.
-
Matthew chapter six.
-
Matthew six three.
-
Oh yeah, you good.
-
You putting this, oh yeah.
-
But when you give to someone in need, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.
-
Verse number four.
-
Your gifts in private.
-
Stuff that you give, notice what happens.
-
Your father, who sees everything, he's the person that will reward you.
-
Let that say that.
-
Number two, or number three, is your motive.
-
You and I will be rewarded based off of our motive.
-
People don't have to see it.
-
People don't have to recognize it.
-
Guess who sees it?
-
People don't even have to know what you do.
-
Guess who knows who's getting it done?
-
That's enough for me to know that God sees what I'm doing.
-
God knows why I'm doing what I do.
-
And I'm not doing it for folks.
-
You're gonna be rewarded for your motive of doing stuff.
-
Why'd you do that for your spouse?
-
What what were you trying to get?
-
What was your motive for for doing that?
-
What did you try to position yourself because you wanted something?
-
Or you just did it because that was your heart?
-
Motive.
-
What was your motive for doing that?
-
Motive for saying that, motive for what were you looking for?
-
We're gonna stand before God.
-
And that fire.
-
And if your motive was right, reward.
-
But if your motive was right, it'll be in that other category.
-
Then it's gonna burn up.
-
Let me give you one last one for today.
-
Galatians chapter five.
-
God isn't only concerned about what you are accomplishing.
-
He's concerned about what you're becoming.
-
See, you can accomplish things before people, and privately you can struggle.
-
So Galatians chapter 5.
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
So what I'm saying is we can spend the whole rest of the year, because watch this.
-
Galatians chapter 5, verse number 22.
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
But the fruit of the spirit.
-
But the fruit of the spirit, notice this, is love.
-
You and I would be judged on our love walk.
-
How you walked in love with people, or how you didn't walk in love with people, how you treated people, how you talk to people.
-
I don't like them.
-
That has nothing to do with it.
-
They probably don't like you either.
-
That has nothing to do with it.
-
Whether they were for you or against you has nothing to do with it.
-
Your love walk is gonna be fire right next to how you love people.
-
Thank you, Jesus.
-
Joy.
-
Peace.
-
Long how long were you willing to bend over backwards for individuals until the light clicked on for them?
-
How long?
-
How long?
-
How long?
-
Gentleness.
-
Being good to people.
-
You and I, this word faith means faith again, faithfulness.
-
Meekness.
-
Self-control.
-
Yeah, put that fool down.
-
Alright, right.
-
Let me show you this.
-
Keep going in Galatians chapter 5.
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
Against such there is no law.
-
And they that are Christ have crucified the flesh with the afflictions and the lust.
-
If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.
-
If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.
-
If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.
-
If we live in and with the spirit, we should be walking with Holy Ghost.
-
So it's important that we focus in on our character and not our personality.
-
You're supposed to develop.
-
Your mouth.
-
Stop swiping the card.
-
Because you know you don't have it, but you swipe it anyway.
-
Why?
-
Cause you want stuff.
-
See, what I've learned is to have WAP Walk away power.
-
I I enjoy stuff.
-
You do.
-
Yeah, I know I enjoy gym shoes.
-
I'm a sneakerhead.
-
There are times when the Lord will say, No, sir.
-
I have to then say that.
-
That's because there's development there.
-
And you and I, because the Lord will judge me from that.
-
Because that same$110 that I'm about to spit on some shoes, the Lord may say somebody else might need that.
-
Let me give you one more and then we'll close here, then we'll pick back up here next week.
-
Serving Christ.
-
Galatians chapter 3.
Galatians 3 chapter mention
-
This is for me probably a principle I live by.
-
Galatians chapter 3, verse number 23.
Galatians 3 chapter mention
-
And whatsoever you do, whatever you do, do it heartily or do it with your whole heart.
-
Notice who you're supposed to do it for.
-
Come on, talk to me.
-
Who you're supposed to do, whatever you do for?
-
The Lord.
-
The Lord.
-
The Lord.
-
So part of a conviction of mine is doing what I do with my heart, my whole heart, not half of my heart, and going hard for God.
-
You know what's so interesting when we weren't saved, we went hard for the world?
-
I mean, if you partied, you partied hard.
-
If you was drinking, okay, now y'all want to be on the holy now.
-
If you was wild, you was wilding out.
-
But then you get saved.
-
And now you don't want to serve, you don't want to do anything for God.
-
You was dancing out there for the world.
-
How come you can't dance for the Lord?
-
Watch this.
-
You was tipping and sipping.
-
But you refuse to give.
-
And then get drunk in the Holy Ghost.
-
Verse number twenty four says, Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ.
-
You serve the Lord Christ.
-
If you gonna do what you do for him, go hard.
-
If you're gonna sing on the praise team, sing hard.
-
If you're gonna serve as a usher or a greeter, man, I don't care if you got two teeth, smile.
-
Brush them too.
-
If you're serving in kids' life, man, serve those children hard.
-
You in media, I mean, just you you I'm I'm swared.
-
He's going to reward you for what you do.
-
Okay, we're just out of time today.
-
We're gonna pick this back up on next week because we will continue about showing you how when that fire is going to test your works, and either they're gonna be burned or either they're gonna shine.
-
So when I show you the wood hand stubble category This week, everything that you do is falling in either one of those categories.
-
Everything, everything you say, how you dress, what you watch, what you listen to.
-
Even the so-called Christian music that's not Christian music, that's rooted in emotionalism.
-
Be mindful, even the television shows you watch.
-
Everything you do is is being put into these two different categories.
-
And I want you to understand that it's gone before you before you get there.
-
So before you get to heaven, it's already there.
-
Okay, every head is bowed and every eye is closed in prayer.
-
Father, thank you.
-
For you provided a system for us to be with you forever, but also to be rewarded for what we do for you.
-
You loved us with an everlasting love, sir.
-
Thank you for that.
-
Now, if you're in here today and you're not born again, or you're not sure that you're born again, allow me the opportunity to pray with and for you.
-
That's you, be bold enough today to lift up your hand if you're online.
-
Put a one in the comments so we know to pray with and for you.
-
My next invitation is maybe you're in here, or maybe you're online, and maybe you walked away from God.
-
At one point you were walking with God.
-
But for whatever reason, maybe you walked away.
-
Maybe you weren't living for God like you should.
-
First John 1 9 says, if you confess, you acknowledge that sin, he says, I'm faithful, I'm just, I'll forgive you.
-
God has already done his part.
-
Now we have to get into an agreement with what he's already written.
-
And this is how you close the door to demons.
-
So if that's you, you're out of fellowship.
-
You want to get back where you belong, in right standing.
-
Go ahead and lift your hand in the air.
-
We'll pray with and for you as well.
-
Amen.
-
Yep, I see it in hand.
-
You can put your hand down.
-
And my last invitation is maybe you're in here, and you say, Pastor, yes, I'm born again.
-
I'm in right standing with God.
-
But I don't pray in other tongues.
-
You don't need tongues when you get to heaven.
-
You only need the ability to pray in tongues while you're here in the earth.
-
It's the power.
-
In heaven, you're with the power source.
-
You don't even need DTE in heaven.
-
Why?
-
Because the glory of God will shine the entire city.
-
Oh my gosh.
-
You need power.
-
You need power to live right, you need power to keep your mouth right.
-
It's the power.
-
Jesus says, one of the signs that should follow them that believe, yes, you cast out devils.
-
You pray in other tongues.
-
He said it.
-
The apostle Paul said, Thank God I pray in other.
