-
This is Robert Hopkins, and thank you for joining the Life Center Church.
-
Amen.
-
You all can be seated.
-
Let's jump right back into this today.
-
We've been talking about wounded.
-
This is part five.
-
Tina, we'll do the welcome at the end.
-
So I definitely want to encourage you if this is your first time and you have not had the opportunity to go back and re-listen to wounded.
-
There are four different parts and they all go together.
-
Today we're talking about the daughter room.
-
The daughter room.
-
So let's go back to Psalm number 147, which has been one of our texts.
-
Psalm number 147, stanza number three.
-
It says, He healed the broken in heart and he binded up their wounds.
-
Let me say this before I read Psalm 109.
-
God never intended for us to spend our lives surviving wounds that He already healed.
-
And many of God's people, unfortunately, have learned how to function, remaining wounded.
-
Because you go through life functioning and you know how to do life.
-
But when nobody else is watching, you're wounded.
-
Jesus did not come to the earth, live as a man, the most horrific kind of death, and then it's praying for us, for us to still be wounded.
-
This is going in and out of the shorts.
-
But God is a healer.
-
Psalm number 109.
-
We'll see how it goes as we continue to progress.
-
Psalm 109 stands in number 22.
-
It says, For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
-
And so again, this definition of the word wound means an injury to the heart or soul caused by painful experiences.
-
And these painful experiences are sent to damage your real identification in Christ.
-
These painful experiences are sent to damage your emotions.
-
Painful, I'm gonna need that handheld going in and out.
-
These painful experiences are damaging a person's belief system.
-
And these painful experiences are damaging your emotions.
-
Now, the deepest wounds are the ones you cannot see.
-
I know that's gonna bound me up a little bit with this handheld.
-
This is for uh it's not working somehow.
-
See how she's helping me out this morning?
-
All right, let's get into this.
-
Point number one.
-
What happens when nobody sees the person that everybody needs?
-
So there is pain that no one can see that you deal with when nobody else is around.
-
So we're gonna look at Genesis chapter 15, and we're gonna look at a person by the name of Hagar.
Genesis 15 chapter mention
-
Well, let's go to chapter 16, because when you read chapter 15, you will find between chapter 15 and chapter 16, it's been 10 years.
-
So in chapter 15, God gives Abram, his name is not Abraham yet, his name is Abram.
-
Man, if you read the Bible, you will see that people have issues just like we do.
-
But the Bible is given for our example so that we don't make the same mistake that they made.
-
And so God comes to Abram and he tells him and his wife that you're going to have a child.
-
Well, he tells them that in chapter 15, and 10 years later in chapter 16, it has not happened yet.
-
So 10 years that he and his wife are doing what they're supposed to do in the natural, but the child doesn't show up.
-
How many of you know 10 years is a long time?
-
So because they stopped waiting on the promise of God, they decided to help God out.
-
Don't look at me like that.
-
Like you've never tried to help God out.
-
Because you wanted it at that moment, but God's timing is perfect.
-
Chapter 16.
-
Let's start at verse number one.
-
Now, Sarah, Abram's wife, had not borne him any children, and she had an Ethiopian maid whose name was Hagar.
-
So Sarah said to Abram, See here, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children.
-
I'm asking you to go into the bed of my maid so that she may bear you a child.
-
How many of you know that's a problem already?
-
So she goes to her husband and says, Hey, I need you to go sleep with somebody else so that she can have a child for me.
-
All the wives said.
-
Children.
-
Not just one, but children.
-
And of course, Abram listened to Sarah.
-
This is one instruction he should not have obeyed.
-
And did as she said.
-
And Abram had lived in the land of Canaan for ten years.
-
Abram's wife Sarah took Hagar the Egyptian or the maid and gave her to her husband to be a secondary wife.
-
And he went.
-
And she conceived.
-
And when she realized that she had conceived, she looked with contempt on her mistress, regarding Sarah as insignificant, because she could not have children.
-
Then Sarah said to Abram, Isn't it something?
-
May the responsibility for the wrong done to me by the arrogant behavior of Hagar be upon you.
-
I gave my man into your arms, maid into your arms, and when she realized that she had conceived, I was despised and looked on with disrespect.
-
And then she asked, This may the Lord judge who has done right between me and you.
-
Now, one of the biggest misconceptions is believing that because people notice you, they know you.
-
But to be known simply means they know your heart.
-
So people may recognize what you do or your success, but maybe they don't realize the pain.
-
You gotta remember from this story, Hagar had no voice.
-
They made decisions without her input.
-
She was only noticed because she could have a child.
-
Abraham noticed her only because she got pregnant.
-
Hagar was Abram's solution to his problem.
-
So then, what is the womb?
-
Because this series is called wounded.
-
What happened to her?
-
I'm going to give you three different wounds today, although there are many more.
-
The first one, she felt invisible.
-
It's the pain of believing that your presence, your voice, your needs, your values go unnoticed or unrecognized by the people that are around you.
-
She was present, but emotionally she was absent.
-
Your value in life should not be tied to the people who recognize you or to the people who don't recognize you.
-
Your value in life should be connected to the one who created you.
-
Wound number two.
-
She was unheard.
-
Now, what happens over a period of time, you stop speaking.
-
Not because you don't have anything to say.
-
You stop speaking because nobody's listening.
-
And this lie of nobody is hearing me or nobody wants to hear me, it creates unhealthy relationships.
-
And because you feel like nobody has heard you, you go into the shell of protecting yourself.
-
And this wound will have you interpreting relationships the wrong way.
-
Wound number three.
-
Hagar was treated harshly.
-
The word harsh, when you study it out in Hebrew, it actually means she was humiliated.
-
She was treated cruelly.
-
She was, it was very interesting to read this one.
-
She was humbled by force.
-
And she was called to suffer.
-
When you go back and you reread this, you will also understand that under these conditions, she was being controlled.
-
And you have to realize that when you are living in this type of condition at home, a controlling force is trying to silence who you are.
-
In this type of environment, when you live in it, its goal is not only to wound you, but to steal your confidence.
-
So invisible wounds will produce a visible struggle.
-
Invisible wounds that nobody else can see will produce something visible that everybody can see.
-
Now watch what happens in verse number six.
-
And Abram said to Sarah, look, your maid is entirely into your hands and subject to your authority.
-
Do as you please with her.
-
So Sarah treated her harshly and humiliated her.
-
And watch what Hagar did.
-
Hagar fled.
-
So her reaction to the womb was she became a runner.
-
Now it's dangerous to run away.
-
Because what running does, it only changes your location.
-
But it never changed your heart.
-
So you can run from one relationship and get into another relationship.
-
But your heart was never healed.
-
So you take that damaged individual from that previous relationship, and then you jump into a marriage.
-
No matter where you go, you're still running with pain.
-
And that running will cause you to become vulnerable.
-
Because her running led her into the wilderness.
-
The wilderness is a place of isolation.
-
And this place of isolation caused what I'm seeing happening in the body of Christ.
-
Loneliness.
-
Just because you are around a crowd of people doesn't mean that you are not dealing with being lonely.
-
Loneliness is not the absence of people, listen, it's living life without meaning and purpose.
-
It's living life without healthy relationships.
-
And many in the body of Christ are experiencing the spirit of loneliness and they have no connections.
-
That's why they're always working.
-
That's why they're always busy.
-
That's why they're always doing, doing, doing, doing, but they have no healthy relationships.
-
So what do they do?
-
It's safe for me to stay away.
-
You're secluded from other people who could add value to your life.
-
And if you pull back your flesh, you will see that you've been wounded.
-
Now, vulnerability isn't weakness.
-
It's not being emotional.
-
When you're vulnerable, it's an exposed place in your heart where pain, loss, fear, or unmet needs make a person susceptible to lies.
-
So whenever a person is vulnerable, you open up yourself to lies from the devil.
-
And this is what Hagar was dealing with.
-
So point number two, who you listen to does matter.
-
Remember, this lie began with this wound.
-
Now, verse number seven says, and the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness.
-
So notice what happens.
-
When she ran away, God found her.
-
You missed a good place to shout on that.
-
When she ran away, God reached out to her.
-
See, we have this conception of I gotta always chase after God.
-
Absolutely, we should.
-
But from the scripture, God is always chasing after you.
-
So even though you may have made a mistake and you may feel that you're so far away from God, scripturally, that's actually inaccurate.
-
Because when you miss it, God didn't leave you.
-
God stayed with you, you left Him.
-
So when she ran away, God saw everything that happened to her.
-
This is the part I need you to understand.
-
God sees it all.
-
The lies, the deceit, the mistreatment.
-
He sees everything.
-
So God spoke to Hagar, and he found her in the wilderness by the fountain in the way to Shur.
-
And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, watch this.
-
Thou God seeest me.
-
For she said, I have also looked after him that seeth me.
-
Hagar believed, number one, when all of this was happening, that she was forgotten, but nobody saw her except God.
-
God is paying attention to what's happening in your life.
-
He sees you.
-
He sees the pain.
-
He sees the struggle.
-
He understands everything that is happening in your life right now.
-
Thank you, Jesus.
-
But let me show you how deception works.
-
Remember, the Bible instructs us not to be ignorant of Satan's devices.
-
So if we are fighting an enemy, you should know how he works.
-
Number one, he begins with a wound.
-
The wound is your experience.
-
Remember, we're looking at Hagar.
-
Her wound was she was mistreated.
-
Just because something happened to you doesn't mean you should determine the conclusion of a thing based off of your feelings.
-
Your thoughts, or maybe your experience.
-
Just because you've been rejected doesn't mean you're reject.
-
Just because you may have been fired doesn't.
-
That you're not qualified.
-
If you got let go, I want to say congratulations.
-
That was actually a promotion for your next season.
-
But if you see it from the lenses of a womb, then you'll stay stuck thinking that God doesn't have a plan for you.
-
You may not understand.
-
God may have just released you from that drama.
-
So, congratulations.
-
Every deception begins with an experience and it ends, if you allow it to, with a false conclusion.
-
The greatest battle isn't what happened to you.
-
Let me let that set in.
-
So, what do you believe because of what happened to you?
-
Number two, there's a false conclusion to what your experience may be.
-
Number three, the lie is repeated until it sounds like the truth.
-
And it's not repeated by the enemy.
-
It is repeated by you who is the prophet of your own life.
-
So you became a preacher who preached the lie to yourself instead of a preacher who's preaching the truth.
-
You keep saying it over and over until you start believing it.
-
So you've been preaching to yourself.
-
If you take your phone out and let your phone record your voice throughout the day, what you sound like.
-
And then number four, the lie changes your identity.
-
That is how we are deceived by the enemy.
-
Point number three.
-
Don't allow your current season to become your permanent identity.
-
Your current season right now should not defy who God created you to be.
-
Now, verse number seven says, The angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shuri.
-
And he said, Hagar, Sarah's maid, watch this.
-
Whence comest thou?
-
And where are you going?
-
And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarah.
-
And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Return to your mistress and submit yourself into her hands.
-
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
-
We just read, we just read a couple of verses ahead of that, that she was treated cruelly, she was humiliated, break it down, sir.
-
But the Lord told her to go back.
-
Before we deal with that, let's deal with what God actually asked her.
-
He asked her two questions.
-
Number one, where did you come from?
-
She ran away because no one in her mind was coming for her.
-
And most of the time, wounded people know where to run to.
-
But they don't know where they're going.
-
You can run away from stuff.
-
But when you run, where are you actually going?
-
She didn't know.
-
She know what she was running away from.
-
But she didn't know what to do after that.
-
So notice what the Lord said to her.
-
Go back from where you came from.
-
Now, why would the Lord tell her to go back there?
-
That's a rough place.
-
Now let me say this.
-
Notice what I did not say.
-
I did not say that if you are in an abusive situation for you to go back there.
-
So don't misinterpret what the scripture says.
-
Pastor said this, and you over there beating her brains out.
-
Let that blame server.
-
That's real.
-
You're verbally abusing her.
-
You're cheating on her or cheating on him.
-
Pastor did not say that.
-
Let's get that clear.
-
Because that is not the will of God for you to stay in a situation where your life is in danger.
-
That is not a father who would take care of his children that way.
-
So don't misinterpret.
-
Because there's a lot of misinterpretation of what people are saying.
-
Notice why he told her to go back.
-
When he told her to go back, she was spending time with him first.
-
So that when he gave her the instructions to go back, he already healed her heart.
-
So when she went back, listen, the environment couldn't and would not change her life.
-
See, many of you are living in circumstances and situations where the environment has changed you.
-
It has determined who you are.
-
You don't even know who you are.
-
You're saying things that you wouldn't normally say, you're doing things that you wouldn't normally do.
-
And everybody who really knows the real you, they're looking at you like, what is wrong with that?
-
It's your environment.
-
So your environment should never determine who you are.
-
So when the Lord sent her back, she was already spending time with him getting healed and getting whole.
-
So that when she went back, she can be in the middle of chaos and it not affect her life.
-
She can go back to the middle of being treated or called out of her name, and she doesn't respond to that because now she knows that the Lord sees me, the Lord has provided for me, the Lord loves me.
-
And whether or not she got what she needed in that environment had nothing to do with what God called her to do.
-
So, yes, it was easy for her to go back.
-
And when you go back and you reread that story, you will see what God began to do in her.
-
It was the place because the notice, the Lord told her, not you telling yourself.
-
There's a major difference because if you called yourself or you told yourself, then you gotta figure it out.
-
And what you will do, just like she did, they created an Ishmael instead of an Isaac.
-
When you do things apart from God, you create your own problem.
-
But when you do what God told you to do, it's his problem.
-
Okay.
-
I'm in real good time today.
-
Point number four.
-
Your beliefs will shape your behavior.
-
Repeated beliefs become your lifestyle.
-
So whatever you are repeatedly doing, that is the lifestyle that you live, and everybody can see it.
-
Verse 16, it says, Hagar fled from her.
-
Notice when she fled, it had the scripture didn't say she prayed about it.
-
It was her natural instinct to run.
-
It was her natural instinct to make her own decisions.
-
She reacted without direction.
-
She went into survival mode instead of living by faith.
-
She trusted more in her feelings than she did in God.
-
She started making decisions from the problems instead of making decisions from the promises.
-
Now, we've been talking about being wounded.
-
And we looked at certain things today.
-
Some of us have problems that we need to deal with today.
-
There are hidden wounds that you've been holding on to that only one person knows about it.
-
Stand on your feet.
-
But it's because of the wound.
-
At some point, you have to allow God to heal the wound.
-
Some may have to take the band-aid off so the wound can actually begin to heal.
-
Some that wound can't heal because you're putting the wrong stuff on it.
-
And it's causing it to be agitated.
-
And it can't properly heal.
-
Some you've been saying the wrong stuff.
-
Others you have been in agreement with things that are opposed to the word.
-
There are things you just have to renounce.
-
There are things that you no longer have to be in agreement with.
-
So close your eyes today.
-
Make this confession.
-
Today, I bring every hidden womb before you, Lord.
-
I confess that I have allowed painful experiences to shape my thinking instead of allowing the word of God to shape my identification.
-
Today, I renounce every lie that has entered my heart through the wound of feeling unseen.
-
I renounce the lie that I am invisible.
-
I renounce the lie that I am unwanted.
-
I renounce the lie that my voice does not matter.
-
I renounce the lie that I have been forgotten.
-
I renounce every agreement that I've made with loneliness.
-
I renounce every agreement with isolation.
-
I renounce every agreement that says my safest place is by myself.
-
I renounce.
-
Every agreement that says distance is protection.
-
I renounce every agreement that says I must survive, I must do things on my own.
-
In the name of Jesus, I renounce every spirit of self-alliance, self-reliance.
-
I renounce.
-
I am no longer running from God, hiding from God.
-
I renounce, running from healthy relationships.
-
I renounce.
-
I'm running from accountability.
-
I renounce.
-
Hiding behind fear.
-
I renounce every spiritual and survival mentality that keeps me from trusting you, Lord.
-
Today, I break agreement with rejection, loneliness, fear, self-protection, and every false identity that has formed through these wounds.
-
Father, forgive me for believing the lies instead of your truth and your word.
-
I believe it today.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
I come out of agreement with fear right now in the name of Jesus.
-
Fear, you no longer have permission to operate in my life.
-
Rejection.
-
Rejection, you no longer have permission to operate in my life.
-
I come out of agreement with you.
-
I break the power that you have had in my life.
-
I come out of agreement with you now in the name of Jesus.
-
Come out.
-
Rejection in all of your forms.
-
You come out now in the name of Jesus.
-
You no longer have permission to operate in my life.
-
You no longer have permission to produce anxiety.
-
You no longer have permission to produce fear.
-
You no longer have permission to do produce stress.
-
You no longer have permission to re produce heaviness.
-
Heaviness up and out now in the name of Jesus.
-
Every spirit of heaviness, every spirit of heaviness that came in with rejection in the name of Jesus.
-
You know me.
-
You see me.
-
You love me.
-
My identity is no longer determined by wounds, but by the finished works of Jesus.
-
I'm healed.
-
I'm whole.
-
I'm loved.
-
I'm accepted.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
I forgive the person that wounded me.
-
I forgive the person that hurt me.
-
I forgive the person that caused me pain.
-
I forgive the person that caused trauma in my life.
-
I let them go.
-
I release them to you.
-
I let them go.
-
I release them to you.
-
They no longer have permission to cause trauma.
-
In my heart.
-
Have permission.
-
To come with trauma.
-
In my mind.
-
Whip embell.
-
I'm pretty good gribbing it.
-
Whip embow.
-
And I release them.
-
You Lord.
-
I'm free.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
I am free.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
I am free.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
I am free.
-
In the name of Jesus, I am free.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Now praying the Holy Ghost.
-
Freedom, sir.
-
Freedom in this house.
-
Freedom.
-
Freedom in your heart.
-
Freedom.
-
Freedom in your mind.
-
Walk in freedom.
-
Receive it.
-
Receive the freedom that's coming from the throne of heaven right now.
-
Freedom.
-
Because whom the sun sets free is free indeed.
-
Whom the sun sets free is free indeed.
-
Free from the opinions of other people.
-
Free from that past failure.
-
Free from the opinions of other people.
-
Free from the opinions of other people.
-
Free from the opinions of other people.
-
Free from the opinions of other people.
-
Divorce yourself from the opinions of other people.
-
Divorce yourself from the opinions of another people.
-
Divolish yourself from the past.
-
To the bullish stuff from the past.
-
Come on, and the many mother Jesus.
-
You come up and you come and the man of Jesus.
-
You come up and then you come up and you live this place in the spirit of the minute.
-
The spirit of the phenomenon.
-
You live in this place in the spirit, you live in this place in the Lolinus and isolation.
-
Little minutes of the isolation.
-
You live now in the mighty name of Jesus.
-
Panic and all the thumbs.
-
Panic.
-
Live now in the name of Jesus.
-
Trauma of the penal mouth.
-
Now in the name of Jesus, up and out.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
Intimidation leave.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
Now the Bible says, Whom the Son set free is free indeed.
-
If you made a decision today to never go back, to never pick that up, to be divorced from the opinions of people.
-
Go ahead and lift up your hands and begin to thank the Lord for freedom today.
-
Unforgiveness leave.
-
In the name of Jesus.
-
Verse number seven.
-
Because what happens many times is you have a tendency to have a service like this where you get free, but then you go back home.
-
And then you pick it back up.
-
Cast your cares upon him for he is the one that cares for you.
-
Stop caring about what people think about you.
-
Cast those cares over upon him.
-
One translation said, once and for all.
-
And don't pick it back up.
-
Don't pick it back up.
-
You're free.
-
Stay free.
-
You're free.
-
Maintain your freedom.
-
Don't go back.
-
And when something tries to come and take that freedom away from you, fight back.
-
You have a right to interrupt demonic disruptions.
-
Fight back.
-
Fight back.
-
It's freedom is your right.
-
Fight back.
-
Fight.
-
Some of you all need to get off social media.
-
Fight back.
-
You're looking at stuff that's opening up doors.
-
Fight back.
-
Fight back.
-
Yeah, maybe we may need to do a 30-day social media fast.
-
Looking at stuff got you bound.
-
And it can possibly open up the doors to comparison.
-
You just need to fast social media.
-
You'll find that when you fast social media or fast anything and replace that time with God, then you get closer to God.
-
And those things that you thought meant something, you won't have a desire for those things anyway.
-
It also opens up the doors to insecurity and inadequacies.
-
And I'm just being real with you because I had to do the same thing myself because I saw something on social media that almost started making me question myself.
-
And I said, you know what?
-
I said, that's a door.
-
Let me shut the door.
-
Because you were scrolling.
-
I was scrolling.
-
Looking at something that she shouldn't have been looking at.
-
I wasn't supposed to look at it.
-
I was not.
-
I wasn't supposed to look at that.
-
It's mindless entertainment.
-
And so it's sent to captivate your mind and appeal, watch this, to your flesh.
-
To make your flesh feel a certain way, but you're wasting kingdom time.
-
Some things you need is kind of put to the side.
-
The Bible says let every weight and sin is preventing you from running your race.
-
You all can be seated.
-
Every head is bowed and every eyes closed in prayer.
-
You're not born again.
-
Jesus had a conversation in John chapter 3 with a man by the name of Nicodemus.
John 3 chapter mention
-
He says, You must be born again.
-
We're at a really serious time.
-
In this dispensation, because Jesus is soon to return.
-
We don't know when.
-
But we're in a season.
-
If there is one thing that you want to be sure of, is that when you stop breathing, where are you going?
-
Contrary to popular belief from the world, hell is real.
-
And it's not a place of joy.
-
When you read what the Bible says, it's a place of torment.
-
And there are actually degrees to hell based on the level of disobedience and sin that a person lived while they were in the earth.
-
