This is Ronald Hopkins, and thank you for joining the Life Center Church.
-
Whether you're here in the building or whether you're watching online, this will help give you a different perspective because if you haven't figured out the season that we're in right now, we're in that 6,000th year, and we don't know how close to the 6,000th year or six days or seven days before Jesus will return.
-
We are so close if you pay attention to what's happening in the world.
-
And so my responsibility as a pastor is to teach you the word to show you how to live now, but also to show you how you should live eternally.
-
But it's based off of what you do now.
-
Now, Colossians chapter 1, verse number 1.
Colossians 1 chapter mention
-
I know I gave you verse number 2, but I'm going to read verse number 1.
-
It says, if you be risen with Christ, if you be risen with Christ, so he's talking to believers.
-
If you be risen, meaning your life is no longer your own, you are dead to yourself, and now you live for Christ.
-
If, if, key word, if you be risen, meaning you are seated in a different place.
-
You may be seated here, but you're actually seated right next to the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
So if you be risen with Christ, notice, seek those things which are above.
-
Verse number two is not a suggestion, it's actually a commandment.
-
He says, set your affection.
-
The word affection there means mind.
-
So set your mind on things above, not on the things on the earth.
-
Let me say that one more time.
-
Set your mind on things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
-
It's a mindset, and we have to get to the place where our mind is focused on the realities of heaven.
-
Now, let's talk about eternity today.
-
Because when we leave here, and you will leave here, where you decide to go is not based off of God.
-
Contrary to what people believe.
-
It's your decision whether you're going to spend eternity with God or eternity separated from Him.
-
It's your choice, the same way that everybody on the face of the earth has this choice.
-
Now, eternity is an unending existence.
-
Unending.
-
It never ends.
-
Your mind cannot comprehend this.
-
It's an unending existence.
-
In other words, you and I were meant to never die.
-
We are supposed to live forever.
-
And the reality is, we are going to live forever in one of two places.
-
You are going to either live eternally and forever with God to be with him, to walk with him, to talk with him, to commune with him, or you're going to be eternally separated from him for the rest of your life.
-
That is the reality of life.
-
So it says eternity is an unending existence beyond this present earthly life.
-
In which our relationship with Jesus, it continues.
-
So when you get born again, that is the start of life with God.
-
It continues when we check out of this body and we get a resurrected body and we temporarily go to heaven, but then we come back down here to the earth.
-
And the consequence, I need you to hear this part.
-
And the consequences of how you live for Christ on earth.
-
How you live for him while you are here has eternal consequences.
-
So how you live for him while you are in this planet will have eternal consequences.
-
We're talking about heavenly rewards.
-
I'm going to show you how there are rewards because this is the system that God set it up for you to be reward for living for him.
-
But at the same time, you can lose your rewards when you don't live for him, when you don't pray, when you don't study, when you don't come to church.
-
The same way to a degree that he'll judge us is the same way to a degree that he'll judge the unrighteousness.
-
The issue is going to be what do you do about Jesus?
-
What do you say about Jesus?
-
Now, point number one.
-
You must understand the law.
-
This is a law.
-
Laws work every single time.
-
So you must understand the law of eternal rewards.
-
Now, let's go to 2 Corinthians chapter 5 and we'll start here.
2 Corinthians 5 chapter mention
-
Verse number 10 says, for we must all, every person that's walking on the face of this earth, there's not one person, there's not one ethnic group, there's not one religion.
-
We all, all, all, all of us.
-
So there is a judgment day for everybody.
-
It's not, I don't know.
-
No, it's when.
-
When will you stand before him?
-
Because one day you will.
-
If you died today, today you would stand before him.
-
We all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ.
-
Watch this, so that each one may be recompassed or paid for his deeds in the body.
-
There is payment that you're gonna get for how you live.
-
Need you to understand this.
-
We just think that we can do anything we want to do and not understand that there is a payday that's coming.
-
You're gonna get paid for how you lived.
-
You just think you can treat your body any kind of way?
-
You think you get just doing, you're gonna get paid for what you do.
-
According to what he has done, notice this.
-
Whether good or bad, you're gonna get paid for your motive.
-
What was your motive for you doing what you did?
-
Why did you say what you said?
-
You're gonna get paid for doing that.
-
That's why instead of you trying to judge somebody else, you better check yourself.
-
Check yourself!
-
Now let's talk about this judgment seat because it's important that we make a distinction.
-
Because only believers will stand in judgment or at the judgment seat.
-
Only believers.
-
I'm gonna show you what unbelievers will face.
-
Help us, Lord.
-
The word judgment seat in the Greek means bima.
-
And this word bima means to step or the distance a foot covers.
-
So the judgment seat or the bima literally is a platform or a raised stage in which people will stand on in order to get their rewards.
-
So, for example, if you took these stairs and you had more elevated stairs, you most of the time will see this in an Olympic Games.
-
When people stand on the stage and you see first place, or you see the gold, you see the silver, and you see the bronze.
-
That's an example of a judgment seat or a beema seat that when we stand before God as an individual.
-
As an individual.
-
So you won't be there with your spouse.
-
You won't be there side of your mother.
-
Your kids won't be with you.
-
You as a born-again spirit-filled believer, or you may not be spirit-filled, you will stand before God face to face to give an account on how you live for him.
-
What you did for him, or what you didn't do for him, and you knew you were supposed to do something.
-
We will stand face to face before him to give an account.
-
And I don't know any place you can have from.
-
So the apostle Paul told us that we should have the mindset of we should be thinking about eternity.
-
We should be thinking about our rewards, we should be thinking about Jesus is returning.
-
If we thought more about him returning, we probably wouldn't act the way that we act.
-
If we were heavily focused, we probably wouldn't say some of the stuff that we are saying.
-
We probably wouldn't watch some of the things that we've been watching, knowing that any moment, any second, he can come back.
-
Any moment, any second, you know how the Bible describes the sky as a shade.
-
He'll roll back that shade and he'll come through on that horse and he'll say, Come hither.
-
But it's interesting, when I'm gonna show you this, not every believer is gonna go up.
-
I don't know about you.
-
I'm going up.
-
I'm out.
-
The amplifier says this way for me us, for we must all appear and be revealed.
-
Be revealed, be revealed.
-
There is nothing inside of you that won't be revealed.
-
He's gonna reveal everything, every thought, every wrong thought, every right thought, every wrong, everything.
-
He's gonna turn you inside out.
-
Before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive his pay according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
-
Considering what was his purpose, we're gonna stand before him and he's gonna say, Did you do what I sent you in the earth to do?
-
What was your purpose?
-
We're out here playing games, trying to do stuff that he didn't call us to do.
-
We are going to stand before him to give an account.
-
Did you do what I sent you in the earth to do?
-
Did you finish your assignment?
-
Did you start your assignment?
-
Did you start it and then you quit?
-
Why did you quit?
-
And your motive that have been, and what he has achieved, you will get rewarded only for what he told you to do.
-
I'm gonna show you next week how the stuff that we're not supposed to do, he's gonna get some fire and burn it.
-
We've been wasting God's time.
-
You doing your own thing.
-
And one day, you're gonna stand before him and he's gonna say, You wasted your time.
-
And instead of you learning how to rule and reign next to him, you're probably gonna be in faith 101.
-
Learning all over again because you didn't do it while you were here in the earth.
-
I knew I wouldn't get a lot of amen.
-
I'm not expecting a lot of amens anyway.
-
This is gonna be very sober and it should put a fire in you.
-
And giving himself and his attention, his attention.
-
What if you and I are going to stand before him to give an account of what we've been paying attention to.
-
There is an appointment of judgment for every person on the face of the earth.
-
Judgment is inescapable.
-
You can't escape it.
-
Nobody can.
-
You can run, you can hide, you cannot escape the judgment of God.
-
Go to Revelation chapter 20, because that's for believers.
Revelation 20 chapter mention
-
The unbelievers don't stand before God on the beamer seat.
-
They stand before God on the great white throne of judgment.
-
Now, I had Minnesota do me a graphic.
-
This probably won't do any justice to it because it's probably worse than what I'm gonna show you right now.
-
So if you put that graphic up I don't know if you I don't know if you really understand.
-
I don't know if there's a a sense of urgency on your part.
-
Because if you had a sense of urgency, you would not want anybody to experience what I'm about to read and what you're looking at.
-
This was never meant for people.
-
Let me read this because you gotta understand this, folks.
-
This is why it's so important for us to do what's necessary to talk to people about Jesus.
-
It could be people in your family.
-
You have no idea.
-
It could be your next door neighbor, it could be your coworker that you work with.
-
If they don't know him.
-
Verse number 20, I'm gonna read it from the amplifier.
-
It says, then the devil who had led them astray, deceiving and seducing them, was hurled into the fiery lake of burning brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were.
-
And they will be tormented day and night, forever and ever, through the ages of the ages.
-
So the tormenting never stops.
-
And then I saw a great white throne, and the one who was seated upon it, whose presence, watch this, whose presence, and from the sight whose face the earth and the sky fled away.
-
And there was no place that was found for them.
-
And I also saw the dead, great and small.
-
They stood before the throne, and the books were open.
-
When it says the great and small, and they stood before the throne, this is every unbeliever that has ever walked the face of the planet.
-
Every unbeliever that has ever not accepted Jesus Christ, they will stand before him.
-
And these books will be open.
-
Then another book was open, which is the book of life.
-
And the dead were judged, they were sentenced by what they had done, their whole way of feeling and acting, their aims and endeavors in accordance with what was recorded in the books.
-
He is recording everything.
-
You can see that there are levels of your reward in heaven.
-
There are levels of rewards in hell based off of how much sin people committed.
-
And the sea delivered up the dead who were in it.
-
Death and Hades, the state of death or disembodied existence, surrendered dead into them.
-
And all were you're gonna have a trial.
-
And it was determined what they had done according to their motives, their aims, and their works.
-
And watch this.
-
Then the dead in Hades, the state of the dead or disembodied existence, were thrown into the lake of fire.
-
This is the second death, the lake of fire.
-
And if anyone's name was not found recorded in the book of life.
-
These individuals were now thrown into the lake of fire.
-
Thrown into the lake of fire.
-
Put that graphic back up.
-
They'll be thrown into the lake of fire.
-
To be separated from God for eternity.
-
To suffer.
-
So I have a question.
-
Because most people will ask this question if God is so good.
-
Why does he send people to hell?
-
Let me give you a scripture.
-
Go to Romans chapter 6.
Romans 6 chapter mention
-
Let me help you out and help those who are watching online that may have the same question.
-
Notice it says their names were not found written in the book of life.
-
You know why?
-
They refuse to accept the one who gives eternal life.
-
So he doesn't send anybody to hell.
-
People make a decision to reject the one who paid the price so we wouldn't have to go there.
-
It's a rejecting of the one who has life.
-
So when you receive life, he writes your name in the book of life.
-
People don't understand.
-
When Jesus returns, he's gonna come back as the righteous judge.
-
When he was in the earth, he was the Lamb who was slain.
-
Come on now.
-
When he comes back, it's judgment.
-
And all of those who didn't receive him, he has to judge you according to what you have done or what you didn't do.
-
And that's why there's a separation from the believers and the unbelievers.
-
They will be judged according to their works, so will we.
-
But the difference is our names are written because now we have life with him eternally.
-
They made a decision while they were on the earth, they didn't want anything to do with him.
-
So what makes you think if you didn't want anything to do with me while you're on earth, why you want to spend eternity with me?
-
I want you to really consider that.
-
Think about that.
-
If you didn't serve me, worship me while you were on the earth, you think you're gonna worship me and serve me and rule with me forever?
-
You proved it while you were on earth.
-
You made that choice.
-
Romans chapter 6, verse number 23 says, for the wages of sin.
Romans 6 chapter mention
-
Can I add something for people that are still kind of stuck?
-
There are still a few people that are still stuck at this whole thing.
-
This God who's so good, how can he then set up a system that would allow this to happen?
-
I'm gonna answer that for you right now in Ephesians chapter 2.
Ephesians 2 chapter mention
-
The Bible says God is rich in mercy.
-
So even at the very last moment when you could be in the hospital about to take your last breath, and then here comes a chaplain or somebody that comes in and preaches Jesus to you.
-
And at that moment you receive it.
-
That's why he keeps fighting for you all the way to the very way.
-
That's right.
-
That is right.
-
When you spend eternity with him, it is not his desire that you go to this place.
-
That is right.
-
So that's why he is gonna keep fighting for you until you take that last breath, and then you will decide.
-
You will decide.
-
Because eternal life can't be earned.
-
It's just received.
-
The issue is people are not receiving because they've been deceived.
-
So we have a responsibility to pray for those who've been deceived.
-
Now, point number two, you will be personally evaluated.
-
So I'm gonna give you two key points to understand.
-
When we are evaluated, if you're an unbeliever, you'll have the opportunity to receive.
-
But it's your choice.
-
One thing about God is He won't force anybody to do anything that they don't want to do.
-
Two key points.
-
Point number one, your belief determines where you will spend eternity.
-
What you believe determines where you spend eternity.
-
Go to Ephesians chapter two.
-
Menace Agent referenced this, or maybe I should call her doctor.
-
Doctor Agent.
-
So Ephesians chapter two, verse number eight.
-
It says, God saved you by his grace when you believe.
-
So at the moment that you believe, you got saved, you got delivered, you got set free.
-
You can't take credit for this.
-
It is a gift from God.
-
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done.
-
So none of us can boast about it.
-
For we are God's masterpiece.
-
He created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things.
-
Notice, we can do the good things He planned for us.
-
We're not saved by good works.
-
We do good works because we are saved.
-
And because you do good works because you are saved, God now, when you stand before Him, He will reward you for doing those good things for Him.
-
Is that clear?
-
Go to Hebrews chapter 10.
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
Hebrews chapter 10, verse number 12.
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
It says, But our high priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time.
-
Then he sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand.
-
We understand what Jesus Christ did for us.
-
He is the person that sacrificed his life so that we can live with God eternally.
-
Point number two.
-
Your behavior determines how you will experience eternity.
-
So it is your behavior that will determine what kind of house you live in.
-
What kind of clothes you wear.
-
Because you will be reclothed.
-
How much light you have.
-
You have light because you're born again.
-
That light lives on the inside of you.
-
But what determines the brightness of your light is how much you did for him while you were here.
-
So if you do nothing, your light might be a little dim.
-
Not my light.
-
Go to Revelation chapter 14.
Revelation 14 chapter mention
-
Revelation chapter 14.
Revelation 14 chapter mention
-
Verse number 13 says, I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, Write this down.
-
Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on.
-
Says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work, for their good deeds will follow them.
-
Thank you, Lord.
-
So whatever you do for Christ, it's going ahead of you.
-
And it's building your house that you can't see.
-
Let me say that one more time.
-
Say it again.
-
Whatever you do for him is going ahead of you.
-
And it's helping to construct your house.
-
Remember, Jesus says, I'm going to prepare a place for you.
-
You are deciding how you're going to live based off of what you do for him.
-
That's why you should have a prayer life.
-
And that's see, when the Lord wakes you up in the middle of the night, and you still sleeping, you're forfeiting a reward.
-
When you have opportunities to do things like that and you put it off, you forfeit your reward.
-
See, I'm going to show you that according to God's judgment, you will be judged when you did not take advantage of those opportunities that were presented before you.
-
Woo! Lord Jesus.
-
That's right.
-
That's right.
-
That's right.
-
You have opportunities.
-
I can help you out right now.
-
You got an opportunity Monday through Saturday that we offer a prayer call.
-
Y'all still sleeping.
-
Opportunity.
-
We have prayer once a month.
-
Same people show up.
-
Yes, they do.
-
You're just missing out on your opportunities to build your house.
-
I am going to show you how your reward can be taken away from you because you thought earthly things were more important.
-
So you stayed away.
-
People not showing up for church.
-
People not serving when they have the opportunity.
-
You have gifts and graces, and God has anointed you to do something, and you sitting on the gift.
-
You're just sitting down, waiting on something.
-
Waiting?
-
What are you waiting on?
-
You think you have time?
-
Time is running out.
-
That's right.
-
You have opportunities to start building your eternal reward.
-
Thank you, Jesus.
-
But not everybody's gonna go up.
-
This is this is gonna be sobering.
-
Go to First Corinthians chapter four.
-
First Corinthians chapter four.
-
Verse number five says, Therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord comes.
-
Who will I want you to see this for yourself?
-
Who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness.
-
Whatever you've done in darkness, it's all gonna show up.
-
The stuff you've been hiding that nobody knows.
-
And will make manifest the counsels of your heart.
-
And then every man shall have praise of God.
-
So right now we're in this church age.
-
And because we are in this church age before the return of the Lord Jesus, we should be building.
-
Because the next dispensation is the catching away of the church.
-
Go to 1 Thessalonians chapter 4.
1 Thessalonians 4 chapter mention
-
Let me show you this so that you make sure that you go up.
-
Because sometimes when we don't study to show ourselves to proved a workman under God, we we don't correctly understand the scriptures the way God meant the interpretation to become.
-
Verse number 16 says, For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven.
-
He will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of an archangel, and the and with the trump of God, call, call of God.
-
First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.
-
Then together, together, together, together with them who are still alive.
-
That word alive is key.
-
Alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
-
Then we will be with the Lord forever.
-
It's interesting because you can read this and think that everybody's going up.
-
When you study this word alive in the Greek, it means those who are spiritually alive.
-
Those who are spiritually thriving, those who are spiritually on fire.
-
Those are the people that's going up.
-
Why?
-
Because you trace that all the way back to when we started.
-
Those individuals are thinking about heaven.
-
They're focused on the things that are above, they're heavily minded.
-
But then there's another group who are just physically leaving.
-
You're just living.
-
Not even thinking about it.
-
Not even thinking about him.
-
Not doing anything for him.
-
And Paul mentions that these are the individuals that have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof.
-
There is going to be a separation between those who go up the first time and those who experience some of the tribulation, but you'll eventually be raptured up.
-
There is something that the apostle Paul mentioned in this last dispensation.
-
He talked about that there will be a great falling away of believers.
-
I didn't give this to you.
-
The Lord woke me up this morning about three.
-
Go to first Timothy.
-
First Timothy.
-
Yeah, yeah, you're gonna be spit out.
-
We think we have time.
-
First Timothy chapter 4, verse number one says, Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times, some will turn away from the faith.
1 Timothy 4 chapter mention
-
They will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
-
He says, in the time that we're living in now, there will be people who used to walk with God but no longer walk with God.
-
There will be people who used to talk about God, used to talk about the things of God, used to show up at church, but you stop seeing them.
-
Paul said there is a great falling away.
-
And then they'll give heed to seducing spirits, and then they'll open up the door to doctrines of devils.
-
And it's so subtle.
-
We were at breakfast yesterday, and we saw a kid who it could seem so harmless, and she didn't know.
-
I'm sure her parents didn't know.
-
She was reading, notice, a Harry Potter book.
-
In case you didn't understand, they teach you how to become a witch or a warlock.
-
Dangerous.
-
Giving heed to doctrines of devils and not even understanding it.
-
Parents, you probably didn't understand that a lot of the anime and the Pokemon is rooted in demonology.
-
And you are spending money buying these cars and you are entertaining demons underneath your household.
-
Sinister, my out here, I might as well say it.
-
You neglected to bring your children to children's church for the entire summer, and now you send them back to school in the pit of hell.
-
And then you wonder why your kids are cursing at home and you don't curse.
-
So it's probably not happening at home because you don't show up either.
-
Paul said there'll be a great falling away.
-
We're at this time, folks.
-
This is warfare.
-
We're at that time.
-
For sure.
-
If pastor don't show up one Sunday and Minister Asia not here and Nick and Noah not here.
-
That was your time to say, I'm not gonna be.
-
Let me let me let me try that again just in case you missed it.
-
If Pastor not here, Minister Asia not here, Nick and Noah not here.
-
Then we'll be caught away.
-
Then we'll be at that bima, that judgment seat.
-
And then from that event, it's the marriage supper.
-
Go to Revelation chapter 19.
Revelation 19 chapter mention
-
Just wanted to show you these things as we march into this eternal rewards so you have an understanding of what happens when you leave here.
-
So that you can be excited.
-
There is no reason.
-
To fear dying.
-
That's right.
-
Amen.
-
The reason why people fear dying is because you have enough, you haven't heard enough teaching about living.
-
That's right.
-
Oh, that's good.
-
That's good.
-
When I know where I'm going, and I know who I'm going to spend eternity with, I'm good.
-
I'm just going to another city.
-
To get my rewards.
-
Revelation chapter 19, verse number 7 says, Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him.
Revelation 19 chapter mention
-
For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.
-
She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.
-
For the ooh.
-
For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God's holy people.
-
You determine, based upon what you do for him, how decked out you are.
-
But dressing up on earth has nothing compared to your heavenly garment.
-
Then after that happens, we'll spend a thousand years with him.
-
And then he'll return back to the earth with us.
-
Let me give you this one.
-
Go to Revelation chapter 19.
Revelation 19 chapter mention
-
Revelation 19 says, and I saw heaven open, and behold, a white horse.
-
And he who was riding on it is called faithful and true, trustworthy, loyal, incorruptible, and steady.
-
And in righteousness, he judges and wages war on the rebellious nations.
-
His eyes are a flame of fire.
-
And on his head are many royal crowns.
-
And he has a name inscribed on him, which no one knows or understands except himself.
-
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood.
-
And his name is called the Word of God.
-
And the armies of heaven, that's us, dressed in fine linen.
-
Ooh, dazzling.
-
You like diamonds?
-
White and clean.
-
You like to be clean.
-
Follow him on white horses.
-
You talking about.
-
Watch how easy this is.
-
And this is where you have to understand how easy life should be for you.
-
From his mouth comes a sharp sword, which is his word.
-
Which he may strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron, and he would shred the winepress of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty and judgment of the rebellious world.
-
And on his robe and on his thigh, he has a name inscribed.
-
King of kings.
-
And he will speak the word of God out of his mouth, and all the enemies that came against God, Israel, will be defeated.
-
And then in Revelation chapter 20, we're not going to read that.
Revelation 20 chapter mention
-
Go back home and read that.
-
So the earth, the same way that your body will be restored.
-
Why do you think you need a resurrected body?
-
So you gotta understand what God did in the garden, and Adam missed it the second Adam came to get everything right.
-
So Eden will be restored back to its original state before sin ever happened.
-
Heaven and earth will become one.
-
Why do you think you need a resurrected body?
-
Because everything will be made new, including you.
-
And based off of your reward, then you will rule and reign with him.
-
I might be ruling and reigning on Saturn.
-
Okay.
-
Um let me give you one more and then we'll close.
-
Yeah.
-
How will you be judged?
-
We'll start here and then we'll pick up on next week.
-
How will you be judged?
-
Go to Romans 14.
-
It's important that we understand how, how, how, because when we understand how, now I can prepare now.
-
Romans 14, verse number 10 says, So why do you condemn another believer?
-
We shouldn't pass judgment on anybody.
-
We shouldn't pay attention to somebody else's race.
-
You got your own race to run.
-
You got your own assignment to fulfill.
-
You got your own calling to walk out.
-
It says, why do you look down on another believer?
-
Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
-
For the scripture says, as surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee, not some, every knee.
-
You can bow voluntarily, or you're gonna be forced to bow.
-
There will be a time that those who reject him will be forced to bow down.
-
And notice, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.
-
Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.
-
Now, let me give you one more and then we'll close and we'll let you all come up to close us out.
-
How will God evaluate us?
-
Go to first Corinthians chapter three.
-
Number one.
-
What did I do?
-
Because he's gonna judge you based off of what did you do?
-
How did you judge your husband?
-
See, your life is an assignment.
-
You have to get before God to find out what's my assignment.
-
First Corinthians chapter three.
-
What you do every day matters.
-
What you do every day matters.
-
What you do every day does matter.
-
He's paying attention, he's writing it down.
-
So don't just think you can just do anything.
-
Even when you waste time doing nothing.
-
It's being recorded.
-
You sat right there and you watched that movie for three and a half hours, but then he quickened your heart to spend 30 minutes in the word and you fell asleep.
-
How you think matters.
-
What you think about matters.
-
Do you realize he's even paying attention to what you're watching?
-
What you're scrolling?
-
How long you scroll.
-
How you do your job.
-
How you raise your children, or didn't, how you serve those that are in need, or how you didn't serve.
-
He's paying attention to how you handle the money.
-
See, we don't talk about this stuff because I'm gonna show you later on the parable of the talent.
-
There was production, there was stewardship.
-
He's paying attention to how you are stewarding the resources.
-
And the parable says that the individual he didn't do anything with what he had, he took it away.
-
Folks, we need to get back to the B-I-B-L-E.
-
Okay, I'll read this and then we'll be done for the day.
-
We'll pick back up on next week.
-
Your loyalty to Christ will also be judged.
-
How loyal you were to him.
-
How much time you spend in the word?
-
How much time you start declaring the word?
-
There's nothing that we do that he doesn't pay attention to.
-
One day we're gonna stand before him.
-
He may roll back to the DVD of your life and show you how you wasted time.
-
Watch verse number 13.
-
It'll be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
-
We'll pick up here next week, but what's going to happen is your life will flash before him, and there's going to be a fire.
-
And he's gonna take that fire, and that fire is gonna go right next to your works.
-
You'll be safe, but maybe your works won't.
-
And if your works survive, then you'll be rewarded.
-
That's why it's important to figure out what I'm supposed to do.
-
I'm not listening to anybody else.
-
I'm not comparing what somebody else is doing.
-
I'm just locked in on my assignment.
-
Because one day we all gonna stand before him to give an account and get our reward.
-
Now, you typically hear this song that they're about to minister at home going services.
-
However, I don't necessarily believe it's appropriate for homegoings because sometimes people didn't work for God.
-
And unfortunately, people can lie at a homegoing service.
-
I've been doing this for over two decades.
-
Not everything you hear is actually true how that person lived.
-
They say that to make people feel good.
-
You have to tell people the truth because the truth will liberate you.
-
And the truth is sometimes hard for people to receive.
-
But I have to give an account.
-
So I'm gonna tell you the truth whether you like it or not.
-
Because I'm gonna have to stand before him, and he's gonna say, Well, you knew better.
-
How come you didn't tell them?
-
Family, let's stand up on our feet and begin to worship God for the word that we heard this morning.
-
Let's just stand on our feet, begin to worship the Lord.
-
You can just start the track right now.
-
The words will be on the screen, right?
-
The words will not be on the screen.
-
Oh.
-
We're gonna go back to where we came from.
-
Give God glory.
-
Give God glory.
-
Give God glory.
-
And we're gonna wear a crown.
-
We're gonna wear a crown.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Now, while every head is bowed and every eye is closed in prayer, we never want to take it for granted.
-
This is the first step.
-
Maybe you're in here today, or maybe you're watching online, and you're not born again.
-
We want to give you that opportunity.
-
If that's you, you've never confessed out of your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
-
Allow us to pray with and for you today.
-
Anybody go ahead and lift your hand in the air.
-
Amen.
-
Yep, amen.
-
Praise the Lord.
-
You can put your hand down.
-
My second invitation is maybe you're in here at one time.
-
Maybe you said, I'm born again.
-
But maybe you walked away from God.
-
First John 1 9 says you must acknowledge that you have missed the mark, and everybody has missed the mark.
-
What he's done, he's provided a way back.
-
We have to accept that way back and make a decision to go back and follow him.
-
So if that's you, you're out of fellowship today?
