  92. We just see what God has for this community in 2023 and

  93. Beyond. Well guys, it's all about souls

  94. and a big part of it, too is relationships righted.

  95. And this is kind of that season that Valentine season, we really

  96. start thinking about relationships and maybe going a

  97. little bit. It deeper than what we post on

  98. social media, right? It's always easy.

  99. When you're having the good hair day, you went to the really cool

  100. date night spot. So you got the selfie the

  101. makeups looking good. Ladies guys, he finally got the

  102. hair to part, you know, we get that right.

  103. But relationships aren't always what we throw out there on

  104. Instagram, are they? Well I'm stoked and Sean's going

  105. to start a brand new series today I'm going to backtrack for

  106. a second guys, this is you could be single, you could be married,

  107. you could be somewhere in between.

  108. Back in the day on Facebook used to be able to park.

  109. It's complicated right? It could be whatever.

  110. There's something for you today. God has a word for you today as

  111. we just really dive in and focus about building these

  112. relationships on God, on his foundation.

  113. So welcome to the stage Sean Petrie, he's gonna give us some

  114. hashtag relationship goals. Give up for Shawn, everyone,

  115. come on. Thanks Drew guys have a blessed

  116. week that really good week. Uh, met last Sunday Lon Jaya

  117. pentecost's, right? Yes.

  118. Couple expecting day to worship and I was excited to see what

  119. God's going to do. A Daniel might come on, he blew

  120. it up on the Super Bowl night by the way.

  121. This guy's got crazy stories of fire but man last week was just

  122. amazing. Just talk through Pentecost and

  123. spirit of God and awake and doing this place.

  124. Come expecting for God to move and we had a little party

  125. afterward little tailgate party on say.

  126. Thank you guys hung out the chief did not disappoint.

  127. Come on somebody. What a game that's my Shameless

  128. plug. I'll be done with the Chiefs

  129. move on. Till next year sighs sad.

  130. Season. They're right.

  131. But today's a special day in house is.

  132. Well, I saw some you guys with some coffee cups.

  133. Come on somebody, it's all that out there.

  134. Could you guys give it up for our freshmen Team?

  135. Real led by Brian and Judy come all them.

  136. Know you love them. Serve the first cup of coffee

  137. this morning and I was like, have you tasted that yet?

  138. It's like, no. I'll just just make sure, you

  139. know, gonna make sure you're not poison or something.

  140. So then we pass it around the big huddle I was I was at the

  141. end I was like we're not passing that around right it's gonna get

  142. weird right maybe but today's gonna be really special as well,

  143. we got something very unique tonight.

  144. Some of this would've been prayed for playing for fundraise

  145. for worked. Our tail off for really over

  146. last year and a half or two years.

  147. And so tonight, our real-life youth is launching into the

  148. real-life. Epicenter.

  149. Come on somebody man and go. God, right?

  150. We've been waiting for a place of our own just a place.

  151. Boo looking for, we set out place, not only to do ministry

  152. and serve the community, but a place for our youth and that

  153. made it really tricky to find a spot.

  154. And so God loves to this place and was working her tail off.

  155. And I won't tell you something. Specials gonna happen that

  156. place. It's really starving new season,

  157. it's really the Revival season. There's a Revival Happening Here

  158. in nine states. Amen, then fall in that mud

  159. watching national news. Just Jesus getting brought up

  160. everywhere. It's like, what is this?

  161. We don't understand it. Well, that's okay, it's just

  162. God's moving, right? And people just are just curious

  163. to see and I'm just believing that for a next generation of

  164. young people I'm a product of youth, ministry product of Youth

  165. Camp. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't

  166. for God changing hearts in a setting like that and so I would

  167. encourage you as parents not to take a back seat to this don't

  168. show up tonight and go through Carline.

  169. Drop the kids off, I would encourage you to park the car,

  170. get out and walk in that. Space me some people and say a

  171. prayer. Prayer for God to use a space.

  172. We're in a spiritual battle for our teens.

  173. Amen. And we're creating Warriors for

  174. the cause of Christ and bastarz. The cause of Christ.

  175. People are mission driven that can not only change their world,

  176. but the world. And so we take it dead serious.

  177. And we're excited to see what God's going to do.

  178. And so be praying for our team tonight.

  179. I'll be out there. I know a lot of our staff teams

  180. out there really, just to cheer on the things of God.

  181. And so be praying, really for a viable start and our young

  182. people and it always starts. They're done it.

  183. The young at heart, I should say, come on.

  184. Right. And I'm excited for God's going

  185. to do what we're launching this week.

  186. Was a Valentine's Day. So we're launching a little

  187. series on relationships, loves in the air.

  188. Come on somebody. I don't hear any guys a story

  189. because you probably all I did mirror all sick this week, so

  190. it'll kind of sideways, but, but I'm encouraged to really speak

  191. on this relationship goals. We've done this series in the

  192. past, but we've dropped all the content kept the logo, and wrote

  193. a whole new series. And we're look at really

  194. relationships in the Bible, famous relationships, all across

  195. the Bible that we can learn from From both good and bad.

  196. Amen. There's two actually no

  197. perforation the Bible outside of the Father Son and the Holy

  198. Spirit. So we're looking at just flawed

  199. people in man. I'll tell you what the Bible's

  200. more like a Jerry Springer episode relationships.

  201. I'm just telling you if the proof of God's existence is how

  202. accurate. And how really honest the Bible

  203. is about people's lives. And as a pastor, I see this so

  204. often people get stuck so easily in their relationships.

  205. It's like they fall in love and maybe a mission to Christ

  206. together. They get your certain level, and

  207. they plateau. It's like a holding pattern like

  208. wash rinse, repeat, just kind of floats to this level.

  209. It is stays there until something changes either gets

  210. broken or it's built. And it's so easy to get stuck

  211. and I see it time and time again.

  212. Maybe it's just stuck because you maybe change at kids and

  213. your professional Uber driver for your children.

  214. Come all somebody. Your the snack provider, there's

  215. a lot of words you can put in there.

  216. If you see a lot of memes, right?

  217. All the moms are laughing because I know exactly what it

  218. looks like, right, it's really easy to look around.

  219. Round and say, man, I wish I had something else, it's easy to get

  220. a spot where it just doesn't feel like it's going anywhere.

  221. The passion is gone, the feelings of love of disappeared

  222. and looking at you like the grass is greener over there.

  223. Come on somebody and they got the feels and maybe you see

  224. potential somewhere else and it's easy to look out and just

  225. maybe be a little jealous of what you don't have.

  226. And I was going to give you a little word today, and this

  227. isn't directly from the Bible is acts for my dad.

  228. So it's extra Bible all but he always told me this said Son,

  229. The grass always greener on the septic tank.

  230. Come on somebody. Ya'll said the other side of the

  231. fence so do the septic tank and it's the truth, you know?

  232. In other words, it's really simple.

  233. If you don't like what you're getting change, what you're

  234. giving. If the grass and your marriage

  235. is withered and raw water, it water your own grass.

  236. Come on somebody. If you got some weeds, get some

  237. weed killer you know, change some things, get some fat,

  238. should maybe get that rake? Out.

  239. Do some hard work. Come on, somebody water.

  240. Your own grass is so easy to say, well, I wish I had this and

  241. wish I had this, but yeah, bro, you don't see what's beneath the

  242. surface, do you. All right.

  243. Is a septic tank grown up. Thank you, Dad for that, by the

  244. way. So, we should say this to him,

  245. he doesn't come to church, but he'll appreciate me saying this,

  246. but the good news is this. You can look all throughout the

  247. Bible and you see relationships and they're all broken.

  248. They're all flawed. And we can learn so much from

  249. these people. Let's think about some of the

  250. most famous relationships in the Bible.

  251. I think about Adam and Eve go back.

  252. Go back to the very beginning, right?

  253. These guys are imperfection. They're made perfectly the way

  254. God wanted to make of their knit together.

  255. A Believer made for each other like you complete me.

  256. I mean it's the perfect setup and they're walking the cool,

  257. the garden with with God himself in the presence of God and then

  258. what happens Pride Wells up right now, they start falling

  259. into sin. They were looking at this, they

  260. touch the app on the phone to send, and then they start doing

  261. the blame game, right? They have the OG fight, and the

  262. start yelling at each other. And then I start blaming God and

  263. the serpent all the stuff, and then they basically get evicted.

  264. While somebody the first couple of Bible gets evicted from the

  265. garden. Right ever?

  266. Thought about that, they put the cherubim and six wings and it's

  267. Garden the East Side. The guard is a flaming sword.

  268. I mean you talk about Jerry Springer episode very first

  269. couple to Puli messes it up, right?

  270. Then you got Adam and Sarah and that a promise that they have a

  271. son and be a father of a great nation and really they were side

  272. about all his newlyweds are maybe, you know, the prophecy

  273. off your life, your side about things of God but the timing

  274. wasn't right. Maybe grew impatient and so

  275. Sarah says, hey, here's this. Servant Hagar will have a child

  276. through her basis. God's Will.

  277. And they talk themselves into the dumbest stuff, don't they?

  278. It changed the course of history.

  279. I want you to think about some of the other couples in the

  280. Bible. You have Jose and Gomer.

  281. It was a who's married to Gomer, who cheats on going to?

  282. This is Gomer Gomer or she-go Retreat, San Jose, and gomers a

  283. prostitute. And it's just picture of God's

  284. grace for us, waiting on us, and hosea's waiting for gonna come

  285. back and it's a picture of grace and mercy, but isn't messed up

  286. relationship. Do talk about Jacob and Rachel.

  287. I mean, This is Love at First Sight, right?

  288. I'm he saw he saw Rachel and he's like, I've got to be with

  289. Rachel and so his father-in-law promised her fall in love

  290. promises, his fellow promises seven years you work for me and

  291. you have Rachel coercion fulfill his promise he gives older

  292. sister when be fair, you know, if Leah wasn't, you know, had a

  293. spouse. And so Works, another seven

  294. years. So it's guys wronged and

  295. mistreated boy. He must love that.

  296. Girl, come on somebody, right 14 years, he works for her hand.

  297. You think about Joseph and Mary? I mean, you might not think

  298. about their couple with this. But you think about this the

  299. Holy Spirit, overshadows Mary? She conceives, Jesus and Joseph

  300. is kind of bewildered, like, what am I supposed to do?

  301. This makes no sense in the angel, Comforts them.

  302. And Joseph, accepts a plan of God, and Joseph.

  303. You may not consider him this, but he becomes one of the

  304. greatest examples of a stepfather and all of history.

  305. Amen. You may never thought Joseph.

  306. As a stepdad, this not his kid but he raised him as if his own

  307. kid. It's incredible to see what God

  308. can do through broken families. Amen.

  309. And so if your family's a Jerry, Springer a little bit, come on

  310. somebody, you're in good company.

  311. Amen. Because all the stories in the

  312. Bible, have Brokenness their stories that people wouldn't

  313. have written. Which is why I love the Bible

  314. because there's no way that any human would have said, hey, this

  315. is my jacked-up Family. Come on somebody.

  316. Right. This is the first reality TV

  317. show. No one was seven.

  318. So good news for your days, you've been divorced.

  319. Come on somebody. And oftentimes, you know, Church

  320. you like Manuel. It's about marriage and

  321. Perfection, all this stuff. But if you've had the struggle,

  322. right, if you've been in the messy middle, if you've been

  323. down the road, maybe you're stuck in counseling and things

  324. are changing. And you don't know what to do,

  325. guess what? You're in?

  326. Good company. Amen.

  327. Or maybe you've been together been together for a long time.

  328. Maybe you're not married, just cohabitating.

  329. Well, guess what? The Bible has worked for you to,

  330. amen. Maybe you're fighting for that

  331. affection, or the attention of that lady, or that guy and you

  332. put on the move, so, hopefully, the veteran Travis Kelsey's

  333. moves. Come on somebody.

  334. I saw that movie. I thought that's, that's not

  335. when nobody, but that's cool. You big do, what you want.

  336. Travis Travis, Kelce do He wants to do, right?

  337. He has the best lines. By the way, can't quote him at

  338. church, but that's awesome, right?

  339. Just telling you, right? Maybe, Linda promiscuous,

  340. lifestyle and high school college Beyond and you just

  341. coming down the road and you feel that shame, you feel dirty,

  342. you feel unlovable. Maybe you're as young person or

  343. maybe in a relationship, you're taking advantage of, maybe you

  344. feel incomplete, you feel broken.

  345. You feel like you're not whole that you feel unlovable, and

  346. that God can use you. Amen.

  347. Maybe you're the person who's committed adultery and

  348. Relationship, or maybe the person that's been cheated on,

  349. or cheat against, or maybe you just given up on God's promise,

  350. maybe you start out well, and you're not in for things of

  351. Christ, and then the hard Seasons came, right?

  352. The drought came. The kids came, all the

  353. financials changed and you're going to season just struggling

  354. in your own strength, in your own power.

  355. Maybe the season is no longer Netflix and chill.

  356. Maybe it's just Netflix. Come on somebody right.

  357. Your marriage has got a little cold in the intimacy is turned

  358. into this TV. Come on, sounds familiar for so

  359. many people, right? If your Anything but nuclear or

  360. feels like it could go nuclear. This message is for you.

  361. Amen. We all can relate to this

  362. message, right. This is all about the Bible.

  363. The Bible is not a fairytale, amen.

  364. My fact, Diane said this was so great.

  365. The Bible is better than a fairytale ending.

  366. Have you read the end of the book?

  367. Do you see how much God loved us to son?

  368. Jesus for us man? Did it?

  369. You can't doesn't get better than this.

  370. I mean, nobody could have come up with the creativity and the

  371. power and all of a substance and plans for the Jesus to come for

  372. us and died on the cross for our sins.

  373. Here's the reality. God is less interested in where

  374. you've been is Maura. Austin, where you going to go

  375. today? Amen, he's more interested in

  376. where we going today. It is so easy to look back in

  377. the rearview mirror and say, oh, I'm not this, and this could be

  378. like this and your Harbor bitterness and unforgiveness all

  379. these things. You look down yourself, but the

  380. reality is God's more concerned about the direction your heart.

  381. Today, he's more concerned, we're gonna go walk today.

  382. He's more concerned now, how you came in this room, but how you

  383. going to leave this room? Amen.

  384. He's more concerned about where you're going.

  385. Are you falling in love with him or going to humble yourself

  386. before God or you're going to keep up the old man and keeps

  387. Adding your own power. And so today, I'm going to call

  388. this message broken but not abandoned, it really lean in and

  389. put your ear to the spirit of God and hear word from God.

  390. Something fresh for your relationships fresh for you

  391. wonder what season you're in. And so on, invite you guys to

  392. invite the spirit of God is speaking to your heart, just a

  393. humble yourself, and it just moment.

  394. I'm just gonna pray over you father.

  395. We come before you gotta pray for your spirit to speak a fresh

  396. word into our lives. God, I pray, we leave changed.

  397. Got the whatever passion has been left or Every direction

  398. we're going to be running towards you and I pray for a new

  399. Strength, God renewed, passion renewed, Unity got that we'd be

  400. together in this thing called life is.

  401. Our marriages are fighting for the things of Christ together

  402. and not each other. Yeah, I pray, you strip us from

  403. the words of I and me, and mine, and fear, and shame, and guilt,

  404. and insecurity and pride. And God, we would change our

  405. words into the fruit of the spirit.

  406. God, you know, patience and meekness and gentleness and our

  407. marriage being To the picture of what it is to be Christ in the

  408. church. And so, we love each.

  409. Other as Christ loved us. We forgive each other as Christ.

  410. Forgave us. And we have a new season of

  411. intimacy, a new season of being a picture of the things through

  412. Christ, for our family and for a watching world.

  413. And I pray this in Jesus name and his power, we all pray and

  414. say, Amen. Well today we're going to go

  415. back to the OG. We're going to go back to Adam

  416. and Eve, look at the first relationship and really

  417. Perfection into Brokenness. And so we're going to just walk

  418. through this story and It's so powerful and I would encourage

  419. you to a for you jump in. If you haven't noticed, we live

  420. in digging into the Bible. This year, we've been doing

  421. basically, it's basically a chapter of the Bible.

  422. We're going through people's stories and just make it a Bible

  423. come alive. So I would encourage you, when

  424. you come out to Real Life Church to bring your Bible, come on.

  425. Somebody to get into the word of God, I'm a prolific Note Taker,

  426. because I'll have a good memory. I'm middle-aged now.

  427. Come on somebody, I just forgot what happened.

  428. So, I had to write it down by love taking notes in the margin.

  429. The Bible's, if you have users, reverse, Mobile app.

  430. Who uses the YouVersion? Bible out, by the way.

  431. Some guys use that, okay? That's also just a great thing.

  432. You can take notes and save them but I'm always going back and

  433. go. Okay, God, what did you say

  434. there? And I'm praying over the

  435. message, I'm rethinking the questions.

  436. I'm so I'm just encourage you to get into the word of God and be

  437. people of the book. Come on somebody, right?

  438. I want people to come here and just hear the word of God.

  439. I want you to get into it. I'm a visual person.

  440. So I have to ride it out and that's how I remember things.

  441. So Genesis chapter 2, we're going to dive in a little bit

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  442. 3:20 says this but for Adam no suitable.

  443. Well, who knows suitable helper. No suitable.

  444. Helper was found. He was looking come all

  445. somebody. I mean he was like nope.

  446. Nope, nope, nope, come on, God, come on guy.

  447. And so Lord, God caused the man to fall into deep sleep.

  448. And while I was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and

  449. closed up the place of Flesh. The Lord God made a woman from

  450. the rib. He had taken the man, I love

  451. this, he brought her to the man. Come on somebody, this is the

  452. original picture, the original Gender reveal party.

  453. Come on somebody. Right.

  454. I don't know how it went down. Like close your eyes.

  455. We're going to count down from 3 through 11.

  456. Right. I mean what would that be like,

  457. right? Unless you jump down behind it,

  458. I don't know how this one down, right?

  459. I don't know how wet but but Adam this is where he says this

  460. is amazing. I love this verse 23 but the man

  461. said this is now bone of my bone and Flesh of My Flesh.

  462. Come on somebody. I've been looking for her.

  463. Go God, come on somebody, right? He was so excited and she should

  464. be called woman. Come on somebody.

  465. Whoa, man, that's the original jug right for?

  466. She was taken out of, man, I don't the first words of Adam

  467. Were to Eve. I'm not really sure how that

  468. went down but maybe with something like this.

  469. How you doing right? Or I don't know you know you are

  470. a part of me come on somebody. Alright that's terrible.

  471. Dad joke. Alright moving on first 14.

  472. Not still good. I use that I'm using next.

  473. Gal, let me tell I'm not getting rid of ads.

  474. Good verse 24. This is why a man leaves his

  475. father and mother and they're like, what in the world is the

  476. father and mother, right? They've never had a father or

  477. mother said happened and is what helped me out and is everybody

  478. say United United, this is the word that this is the word.

  479. This word United is really the ultimate definition of a

  480. relationship. This is the definition of

  481. marriage United. Together United to his wife and

  482. they the two of them became one flesh.

  483. They don't forget. This is so cool.

  484. Yeah, check this out. Adam and Eve were perfectly made

  485. for each other. Don't miss this.

  486. They were perfectly designed for each other.

  487. In every way, every sense of the word they were physically

  488. designed for each other. Amen.

  489. Amen. Hallelujah praise God Almighty,

  490. right? Glad that works out right there,

  491. emotionally that together for each other.

  492. Amen. I'm here more guys and ladies

  493. loud. That's kind of weird.

  494. Right guys. Like a men.

  495. They're just keeping up face at this point, right?

  496. I mean, they were spiritually made for each other that they

  497. were helpers to each other. God knew exactly what he's

  498. doing. When he created Adam and Eve and

  499. putting together as one flesh no longer their mission or I mean

  500. her Mission his mission but it's their mission.

  501. Oh, Christ, in their to follow Jesus together, the United

  502. together, you know, God created you to be United together with

  503. your spouse. He created you to be knives

  504. together in your relationship. You're not supposed to war

  505. against each other, you know? Get in the same Foxhole and then

  506. just shoot your companion and shoot your teammate in the

  507. Foxhole. Amen.

  508. That we're fighting a common enemy were taking ground from

  509. the enemy. We're fighting for a thanks to

  510. God for a family to have a common purpose and a common

  511. heartbeat through night and intimacy.

  512. It's no longer my will and Diane's will but it's Our will

  513. towards the things of Christ. Amen.

  514. United together, but so many marriages.

  515. It's the opposite, isn't it? It's divided is older, Unity.

  516. It's untied, it's the opposite, it's moving different

  517. directions. And instead of fighting comment,

  518. me, they're fighting each other. You see so many marriages that

  519. are stuck in division, really stuck in coexisting.

  520. They may be married to May wear a ring.

  521. They may live in the same roof, but they're anything, but

  522. together there's different televisions, different rooms,

  523. different beds, different Plans different bank accounts.

  524. Come on somebody I'm stepping on somebody's toes in the hair.

  525. Hey I mean it's easy to get there.

  526. Just go different directions for some people, they're stuck in

  527. division, they're stuck in collaboration, they're living

  528. together but they're not co-workers for the cause of

  529. Christ unite under the power of Christ.

  530. Amen, it is so easy to just to be together but not together and

  531. marriage. Not put together for the things

  532. of Christ, not of the power of Christ.

  533. I don't know about you, but I want Jesus as the foundation of

  534. this relationship. Amen.

  535. If you're going to follow me, you're going to be sorely

  536. disappointed as looking for some amens, but she tried to burn her

  537. throats been her, and she's like, So he marriages are stuck

  538. in control. It's a control freak so I'm both

  539. sides instead of complement each other.

  540. They're trying to control the relationship and they're upset

  541. with their spouse because they don't do certain things.

  542. They chew too loud, right? The TV is too loud.

  543. This is missing this and there's fighting all the time about

  544. everything. You know think of Paula Abdul,

  545. right? She was like half right

  546. Opposites Attract, but they also attack come on somebody and they

  547. just don't copy each other very well, it's receive divorces so

  548. often. The first 3 7, 10 years of

  549. marriage. You had those hard yards, you're

  550. starving kids and things are different.

  551. And You don't quite understand your spouse and more, but God

  552. put you together, amen. That you complete me, right?

  553. Like opposites. But they fill in the voids dude,

  554. you don't want to Pete, you just feel like so obtuse.

  555. Like you have to have your, your spouse with you.

  556. Is kind of takes off round the edges on the women.

  557. All the women said, amen. Right.

  558. Round off the edge of those been, right?

  559. This way, you Nia looks like just as 25 to 25, says, this

  560. atom is wife were both, what helped me out.

  561. Come on, somebody, ha ha Tony. I love you.

  562. I love you, buddy, so much. I want to say right now, but I'm

  563. not and they felt no, no, shame. This is what you need to look

  564. like. Literally that they were naked,

  565. they didn't realize is that there's a flaws and Perfections.

  566. They didn't see fear or shame. They were naked and they had no

  567. shame in their life. It was kinda like they look down

  568. in the reflection of the of the water like Simba, right?

  569. Right? They saw themselves and they

  570. said I am fearfully and wonderfully.

  571. Made hallelujah. Praise God.

  572. Whoa, look at that reflection, baby.

  573. Yes. Or like none of you did that,

  574. right? Dude, we put makeup to cover up.

  575. Come on somebody, right? So I make, we have make it

  576. better. We gonna hide this, we got to

  577. make this. We have lose this.

  578. We got to put that girl on. We all these things right to

  579. make ourselves look. The girl.

  580. What can I say? Here's what here's the bottom

  581. line. They're unhindered.

  582. Exhibitionist for the cause of Christ.

  583. Come on. Somebody that's Lou what.

  584. This verse says, naked unashamed men that they're they just knew

  585. who they were in Christ. They didn't have any other

  586. worries and their fear and their life.

  587. In this Utopia are people called Perfection this Age of

  588. Innocence. The sagely Garden of Eden.

  589. This moment in time that really didn't exist my opinion, very

  590. long if you think about this as about the move from United to

  591. untied pretty quickly and the reason you can speculate this is

  592. because Adam and Eve. Eve, they didn't have any kids

  593. before the fall and I'm pretty sure there was a habit.

  594. They weren't willing to give up, come on somebody.

  595. Hmm, so probably pretty quick. It's probably a few months of

  596. time here, where was all perfect.

  597. So once you watch the shift from shift, from Perfection to Broken

  598. from Walking with God to hide it from God, from eternal life to

  599. dust. This is how the first

  600. relationship goes, just a chapter 3 says this in verse 1.

  601. Now, the serpent was more crafty than any other wild animals, the

  602. Lord God had made. He said, the woman did God

  603. really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden.

  604. Then that crafty serpent is putting that seed of doubt.

  605. He just tugging away and eroding at the truth of God's word.

  606. And the woman said, the serpent, we may eat from the trees in the

  607. garden. If you don't want the trees in,

  608. the garden is a tree of life that treat you find in

  609. Revelation the tree, eat the fruit from and you continually

  610. eat and live forever. And so this tree was in the

  611. garden, he from, but God did say we must not eat from the tree

  612. that's in the middle of garden. That tree, that's growing on a

  613. septic tank. Come on somebody and you must

  614. not touch it, which is very interesting or you'll die.

  615. And so it's not just you eat the The fruit of this tree, it's

  616. actually even touched the fruit of the tree.

  617. You'll be cursed and die and you will certainly not die.

  618. So the circuit we need not necessarily For God, knows, when

  619. you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you'll be like,

  620. God knowing good and evil the appeals to her pride and says,

  621. you know, God's holding back on you actually the grass is

  622. greener on the other side of eating that fruit because he

  623. knows if you eat it, you can be just like him.

  624. You're going to be more aware. You have, some wisdom, your life

  625. in had before you're gonna, you have a different status in life.

  626. You eat from this tree. So it's three is really good.

  627. Look at his fruits, amazing and the woman saw the fruit.

  628. Look at this, there's three things she sees about this tree.

  629. It was good for food. This could feel my body.

  630. You fill my stomach. It's pleasing to the eye.

  631. I can look at it and know that mean that is really, really

  632. good-looking. And also desirable for gaining

  633. wisdom, that get my status will change if I eat this fruit.

  634. And so she took some of it and ate it.

  635. Now, here's a lie. Is that you see so far the lives

  636. of sin, here it is. I'm just going to take a quick

  637. look. Come on somebody.

  638. You can look but you can't. Look, but you can't touch, that

  639. doesn't work. Out, that doesn't work out.

  640. She saw this fruit, and it lists looks so good.

  641. She had to have a bite of this fruit, it appealed to her

  642. appetite and when it comes to things of God, especially comes

  643. with things of lust and sin. You flee those things.

  644. You don't fight those things, amen.

  645. You like Joseph, you run out, but naked when they grab that

  646. rope, he has run out. But naked, come on somebody.

  647. If you don't know the story, you're like, IMA.

  648. Look this up, pastor says some butt-naked running, I'm gonna go

  649. find it in the Bible. Can we go find it somewhere in

  650. here, right? I mean, Think about this, it

  651. wasn't, it was a sin to take the fruit, you know?

  652. But it was it was temptation to look at the fruit.

  653. It was tempted. It's like putting yourself Right

  654. In Harm's Way. And so, just take a quick look.

  655. That's what the lion says. I'm not hurting anybody.

  656. I can do what I want. As I heard dude.

  657. She and he had me Rob's really God and it changed the course of

  658. all humanity. And we live a life of sin, or

  659. complacency or follow things of ourselves.

  660. What we do is our robin, our own future and over so many people's

  661. lives. Heard.

  662. Anybody it's like, dude, you're hurting you.

  663. You heard your relationships. You're hurting Generations,

  664. ahead of you mean, that fruit looks really good on the

  665. outside. Dude, that thing was welfare

  666. Lies. Come on somebody, I told you on

  667. the septic tank. Right?

  668. Bell says this in Psalms, it says a lips.

  669. The heart like honeycomb and says, her way is go down to the

  670. pits of hell. It looks great on the outside

  671. but that destination, we're going is nowhere.

  672. God wants you to be me think of the status that you would have

  673. of it is had this fruit? How much wisdom I'd have and

  674. that Pride begins to spark up and so she's the fruit in the

  675. verse 6 says this and she gave some to her husband.

  676. Oh by the way, he was standing there.

  677. Come on somebody, you talk about a pacifist and he was literally

  678. sitting there watching Satan, talk to the serpent talking to

  679. his wife and said, nothing and did nothing.

  680. And so he was staying there and she gave him the fruit and he

  681. ate it in the eyes of both of them were what helped me out

  682. there opens for the first time humanity saw the the other side

  683. of the coin it was like when a kid loses their innocence.

  684. Oh. So they realize there's good and

  685. there's evil and they see the wrong in this sin entered their

  686. hearts and this forever Change them forever, shape them in

  687. different directions. Pride has swelled up the

  688. selfishness in Soother self-promotion self-deception

  689. and they started knowing good and evil.

  690. In the War Began to wage inside their soul and they realize

  691. this, they realized that they were naked and then ago, they

  692. know they're naked, come on somebody, but now they realize

  693. that they're in naked and the shame float over them, a no

  694. longer innocent. And so they sewed fig leaves

  695. together and made coverings for themselves.

  696. So, sad about this relationship is that this is the first time.

  697. He made you see two people hiding from each other.

  698. So, first time you made, you see two people keeping secrets from

  699. each other. It's the first time you made.

  700. You see people look at themselves and say, I'm not good

  701. enough. I know measure up.

  702. I've got flaws like a mistakes. There's things in my life.

  703. I'm not proud of, and so I'm going to go so some fig leaves

  704. so people can't see who I really am that.

  705. Shame that power of Shame, cover them up in the reality, is this

  706. and our generation. And our time that power of Shame

  707. is still so real. It's still so much there in our

  708. lives. Matter fact, we're not.

  709. So in fig leaves, we're doing other stuff, right?

  710. And you see all the time, people make fake social media accounts,

  711. people make have their own bank accounts.

  712. People don't know about you. People do about this stuff to

  713. get divorced and years later, right?

  714. And you start hearing the stories, it's like people go

  715. their own directions. To the limits.

  716. I think about when the greatest shames that hold us down the

  717. power of Shame. It's about hiding things.

  718. You talked about deleted internet history.

  719. Talk about private browsing. You have to even delete your

  720. history. You talked about in that

  721. pornography, think about this enterpreneur ography makes more

  722. money than Netflix. Netflix makes it makes more

  723. money. If you take every Hollywood,

  724. everything in Hollywood put together, it makes more money

  725. than that. It makes more money than Viacom,

  726. the internet pornography is a largest one, largest Industries

  727. in the entire world. But the sad thing is it's

  728. actually the largest industry of all the world in the United

  729. States. United States has more clicks on

  730. pornography than any other country, no other.

  731. Countries, even close to mount clicks and a nog.

  732. Rafi, the United States and sadly, this is crazy.

  733. The mostly clicks on the inner product fee happened on one day

  734. of the week. Yes.

  735. Well, I guess what day of the week it is Sunday.

  736. Sunday, do you think Satan has his hands around that?

  737. There's so much shame. We live in the probably, the

  738. greatest generation of shame in the history of the world.

  739. We live in a generation that has captivated by themselves and

  740. others, but they can look But not touch.

  741. And that shame is overflowed into marriages and

  742. relationships. Young people.

  743. The average age of first exposure in at pornography is

  744. 11, What is that? Sixth grade?

  745. But do the math, right? Fifth grade.

  746. Thank you. I need some moms out to help me

  747. out. My kids.

  748. Aren't that old yet, right? But fifth grade.

  749. Do you say this is an infiltrate.

  750. This he said, well, it's no big deal.

  751. It's no big deal. It's a huge deal.

  752. Amen, it's a huge deal. It's warping the intimacy that

  753. people have been that shame is what he'll hold people in that

  754. spot is hitting their stuff that you wouldn't want God to know,

  755. your spouse. Know, your best friend, the

  756. know, and you hold on to it. So tightly and we have these

  757. things, their hands every single day and this is the power of

  758. Shame. I'm in our life.

  759. Now in fact this but this one the greatest tragedy verse 8

  760. says this and the man said his wife or the man his wife they

  761. heard the sound the Lord as Walk In the Garden in the cool of the

  762. day and they hid from the Lord, among the trees in the garden.

  763. This is the first time in the Bible, First Time in the history

  764. of humanity, you see, Humanity running and hiding, from God,

  765. this is this is the first time it never was this way before.

  766. Also, there's so much shame. They're so afraid that they saw

  767. these big leaves they run on the trees.

  768. It'll make a sound hoping that God won't find them and this is

  769. the reality for so many relationships.

  770. Looks like God, I can't measure up, man.

  771. If you knew the real me, come on somebody.

  772. You would never love me. If you knew what I've done, you

  773. wouldn't forgive me. And so this is the exact thing

  774. that happened for Adam and Eve. They heard the sound.

  775. They ran ahead and broke a relationship of God.

  776. Verse 9 is the First Act of Grace by our god.

  777. This is what the Lord God Called to man.

  778. Where are you man? You talk about a merciful act.

  779. Amen. The God, he did, we did take a

  780. step towards God, we're running from God, and God took a step

  781. towards us. Amen.

  782. That God looks for us to the guard.

  783. He knew we were, but he stepped out with compassion have been

  784. spit on and lied to, right? And the garden we chose are on

  785. the way and we'd send against God a holy God and God walks to

  786. the guards. As where are you guys at?

  787. We're all use gives a chance to to own our sin right.

  788. Here's a chance to speak up and the Lord comes towards us.

  789. It makes the first steps of reconciliation towards us and

  790. recognizes us and our own sin. Mentioned, have this kind of

  791. Grace in our relationships today that have her spouse or a friend

  792. or relationship were in. They mess up we take the first

  793. step of Grace and what a hike. All right, he said this Adam

  794. answered, I heard you in the garden, I was afraid because I

  795. was naked and so I hid from you you know so much broke that day.

  796. It went from found to lost. It went from Whole to

  797. incomplete. It went from complete to

  798. shattered, everything changed for Humanity in that moment.

  799. The words are the dictionary of me and mine and I of fear of

  800. Shame and security doubt Pride evil hiding lost.

  801. And we became forever the center of our universe as that of Jesus

  802. and we ran in our own sin. It's a running to the feet of

  803. God for the first time in our lives, you know, things gonna

  804. change your marriage more than anything it change.

  805. Your relationship is running back to Jesus.

  806. Amen. The thing that will make the

  807. difference for you in 2023 today.

  808. When you walk out these doors, Even is it you put Jesus right

  809. in the middle of your relationship?

  810. If you build your relationship on the foundation, on the

  811. footing of the Cornerstone of Jesus.

  812. Amen. And stop trying and start

  813. trusting in the one that ultimately will cover your

  814. shame. My fat day, they fall in the,

  815. get into the original fight in the Bible.

  816. The first blame game goes down right here, in verse 11 and Adam

  817. sent, or God said, who told you that you were naked.

  818. Have you eaten from the tree that command?

  819. You not to eat from? And the man said, well, the

  820. woman he starts blaming the woman.

  821. That you put here with me that you brought.

  822. So it's not just her fault but God is your fault.

  823. You gave me this woman. She gave me some fruit from the

  824. tree and I ate it. The Lord God said, the woman,

  825. what have you done? And then we said, well that

  826. serpent over there, he deceived me and so I ate it.

  827. And so Lord, God said to the serpent because you have done

  828. this cursed, are you above all livestock?

  829. And all the wild animals you will crawl on your belly and you

  830. eat dust all the days of your life and I will put enmity

  831. between you and the woman between your Offspring and hers

  832. and he will crush your head. We talked about this before but

  833. this is the picture of the Gospel.

  834. This is the first mention of Jesus that Jesus is going to

  835. crush the head of the serpent that cross would drop into the

  836. ground and would crush the head. We talk about the head of

  837. Goliath. Amen.

  838. And crush his head and set us free.

  839. And you will strike his heel to the woman.

  840. He said, I will make your pains in childbearing severe.

  841. Come on somebody. We wish we could go back in

  842. time, right? In the painful labor, you give

  843. it give birth to Children yours. I'll be for your husband and he

  844. will rule over you. Now, I will say this one, well

  845. with childbirth be like without the curse.

  846. That'd be interesting conversation to.

  847. There's only one verse given to the woman and there's about

  848. three verses that are given to Adam.

  849. Come on somebody, about to get some more chastisement for the

  850. guy, right? And so to Adam, he said, because

  851. you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I

  852. command you, you must not eat from curses the ground because

  853. of you. This is where you have the fall,

  854. not just affected Humanity, that affected all creation.

  855. This is why I have tornadoes and hurricanes and sufferings been

  856. up to this point. All the atoms, all the animals.

  857. Apparently spoke the sir, And talked, right?

  858. These animals lived in harmony to each other, they're

  859. vegetarians people didn't kill the animals but now things have

  860. changed and through painful tool you eat for the food from it.

  861. All days, your life, it will produce thorns and thistles for

  862. you and you eat the plants of the field and by the sweat of

  863. your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the

  864. ground. This is getting serious pretty

  865. quickly hidden it. And since from it you were taken

  866. for dust you are and to dust you will return.

  867. I mean the Consequence was real, right?

  868. I mean, went from eternal life in the garden to dust.

  869. I'm you talk about having a messed-up first relationship.

  870. Come on somebody, right? I mean, some of you guys should

  871. feel pretty good today because your life doesn't look quite

  872. that bad, right? Did involve getting, you know,

  873. troll life taken away and separation eviction from a

  874. garden, but we still have that same Brokenness in our life,

  875. we're all broken, but remind you, they based on the scripture

  876. that we are not fighting or spouse.

  877. Amen. We're not fighting flesh and

  878. blood. That the warrior in isn't the

  879. person. Next to you or any of the person

  880. you can see. Amen.

  881. The Bible says, this were fighting principalities and

  882. powers of Darkness. Unseen forces things that are

  883. behind the scenes, we're fighting shame.

  884. We're fighting guilds. We're fighting the things of the

  885. of the world. We're fighting insecurity, we're

  886. fighting Pride, we're fighting being afraid.

  887. We're finding all the things on the inside.

  888. There's something way beneath the surface, we got to get to

  889. today, amen. I mean, we're going to talk

  890. about relationships, we can't talk about, You and her or her

  891. and you we got to talk about you and God.

  892. Amen. And there's something way deeper

  893. that's happening beneath the surface and your relationship

  894. that has to be addressed, amen. He's not going to get it right

  895. without knowing, how to solve this sin problem, how to work

  896. together through sin, because we're both Fallen, we're both

  897. broken, but God did not abandon us starts out in Romans 5, 19

  898. for just as through the Disobedience of one man, this is

  899. Adam. We talk about Adam is

  900. Disobedience to God. Many were made sinners.

  901. That's us. I didn't think we'd get a amen,

  902. right there, right? But that's us, we're all Sinners

  903. because Adam sinned were used like the headship of humanity,

  904. right? We're all broken, but don't miss

  905. this. So also Through The Obedience of

  906. one, man, many will be made what made righteous?

  907. Come on somebody we are broken but not abandon A Min.

  908. We're not abandoned and this is good news because our lives are

  909. messed up like Jerry, Springer episode, all these things are

  910. going sideways. People are cheating their lives,

  911. either. Set the whole all things,

  912. they're afraid to be real. They're hiding stuff from each

  913. other. All this mess.

  914. We live in every single day but Jesus stepped into the mess.

  915. Amen. He stepped in on our behalf, he

  916. made a way for us and is so powerful when Jesus took a step

  917. towards us. Look at this in just as 3:20

  918. says this, Adam named, his wife Eve because she become the

  919. mother of all living. This is like the original

  920. Grandma. Come on somebody, the Lord God

  921. made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and what helped me

  922. out. Out.

  923. Then close them. He imagined get this scene here

  924. that the obses Perfection. They're made for each.

  925. Other is the perfect harmony. Got a built it and they sins.

  926. It's inevitable consequence because God is a holy God.

  927. There's no sin in heaven. There's no scent around God.

  928. He is perfect on every level we can never measure up now because

  929. we chose a different path. And so God gives consequences

  930. but even for years consequences, he looks for us.

  931. Amen. He didn't abandon us and then he

  932. then he gives us Sequences. And then his first act towards

  933. us, what an act of mercy and Grace.

  934. It says, the Lord made garments of skin for Adam and his wife

  935. and clothed them that God clothes.

  936. It that God made a way to cover their shame.

  937. Amen. The very first thing that God

  938. did is looked at him Andy. He said.

  939. Yeah you're broken and you have to have some coverings and so

  940. for the first time and all of time, the god of the universe

  941. steps into his creation. The now is warning its each

  942. other. Now Sudden you've lined

  943. attacking zebras of Southern long, you're talking, how are

  944. you? No longer day of the tiger?

  945. Come on somebody, and they're attacking each other and all of

  946. a sudden there's God's Universe steps in and he hunts down,

  947. which would take along and grabs an animal on the water.

  948. Was he kills it? He's skins it.

  949. And he shows together clothes for Humanity.

  950. He imagined the grace of God and how much he loves us to such an

  951. act of Mercy, but we spit in his face, Ace and we turn from him.

  952. This is kind of Grace were called to happen, our

  953. relationships. Well, the grace things you do is

  954. a man of God, is he protecting cover your family men, you see

  955. things that nobody else should see, and you fight to break it,

  956. right? You lock the key on it, for the

  957. things that Jesus and you fight like, hell for your family, men

  958. and Jesus. He looked at Humanity, he fought

  959. off hell for us now. In fact, this wasn't the last

  960. time that Jesus or God would cover our shame.

  961. Amen. That fact, this is a picture of

  962. what Christ is going to do for us.

  963. This is a foreshadowing of the Old Testament system.

  964. Were the shedding of blood will be forgiveness of sins that one

  965. day. This innocent animal will be

  966. sacrificed to cover the sins. Just like then assemble is given

  967. to sacrifice and cover the sins of Adam and Eve, there were the

  968. innocent Lamb of God, that be given to cover our sin and

  969. shame. Amen.

  970. And the Bible says something so beautiful.

  971. It's so amazing. If you haven't found it yet, is

  972. found in Isaiah 61. Now, Isaiah 61, if you don't

  973. know this passage, you got to get to those passes because

  974. Jesus quoted this path. Siege.

  975. This was his opening passage to the start of his ministry

  976. Merced. The spirit Lord, is upon me.

  977. His anointed me to bring good news right to set.

  978. The captives free we've heard that passage.

  979. Hopefully is Christians because Jesus launched his public

  980. Ministry with that passage. And it goes on to say this about

  981. us, and is so special. Today as a 6110, it says this, I

  982. July greatly in the Lord, my soul rejoices in my God for he

  983. has what clothes With garments of Salvation.

  984. Amen. In a raid me in a robe of

  985. righteousness. Today, you are covered on the

  986. blood of Jesus, and that is the only reason that this whole

  987. marriage thing. And this whole relationship

  988. thing is ever going to work gay men because it's built on the

  989. things of Jesus. Do you realize there's only one

  990. letter difference between the word United and the word untied.

  991. You realize that That is one letter that.

  992. Just move it a little closer to the you.

  993. It's the letter. I it's all about where you put

  994. the, i in your relationship. Where do you fit it?

  995. Because there's what looks like when it's about you, we were

  996. fighting really for the things that we ourselves.

  997. It looks like this. I'm offended, I'm hurt.

  998. I'm mad. I could never forgive.

  999. I could never move forward. I'm no longer in love.

1000. My fact I was never in love. I've heard that a few times

1001. last. Last four years for different

  1002. people's relationships. I think what a crock.

1003. Right? What a manipulation tactics?

1004. I was never in love. I'm not happy.

  1005. I'm done. I don't love this person.

  1006. I don't need you. I don't want to change.

1007. I'm happier without you. I'm over it.

1008. This happens when the eyes are on you.

1009. Amen, when it was all about you, it's all about myself.

  1010. It's all about me. I feel like I'm about singing a

1011. country song, right about me, talking about everything there.

1012. Hey, He is in jail for that but she'll for the word of God,

1013. right? But you look at this, when it's

1014. all about, I myself because that word didn't exist.

1015. That even though there are naked in the garden, they had no

1016. self-awareness. It was interdependence who

1017. depends on God and trust in God. And this love relationship with

1018. Eve. And all of a sudden it's like,

1019. oh I'm full of Shame. I'm afraid, and all this, which

1020. are acting out of. I am own power, my own ability,

1021. here's the reality. There is Serie fruits of the the

1022. spirit with I Zero fruits of the spirit but if you're United

1023. other things to Christ, all of a sudden because God has changed

1024. us got his robe, does in his righteousness.

1025. All of a sudden, we can say stuff like this, hey, I forgive

1026. you. Because Christ forgave me, you

1027. know, God cares around the bigger racer and he races all

1028. our wrongs. You guys know that, the Bible

1029. says he didn't count of wrongs against us.

1030. There fact, God keeps a record of all the rights.

1031. Amen, he doesn't walk around looking up.

1032. I told yourself losing be that way.

  1033. I'm gonna take this. I'm a fault fine.

  1034. Hiroki. Yep.

  1035. Yep, yep. Yep.

1036. You should erase the sin as far as the East is from the West.

1037. Amen. And that's what called tuna

1038. relationships. I'm not gonna give you any like

1039. Not only cost like prognosis of what you should do in your

1040. relationship. I must give you some principles

1041. that we should offer forgiveness as Christ.

1042. Forgave us, amen. You're a knight of the things of

  1043. Christ. That should be.

1044. Neither the mission of Christ. God is not put you together

1045. towards each other. He puts you guys at war against

1046. the things of the world and to rescue Souls.

1047. Amen, you are. Mission driven.

1048. Did you should study your woman's personality?

1049. And she said, your man's personality.

1050. You should know everything about them inside and out.

1051. Come on somebody. You should know them, and you

1052. fall in love each other on Mission together.

1053. For the cause of Christ looks like be unified for Christ.

1054. As you realize, it's not built with each other.

1055. You realize that I can love because God loves me and I'm not

1056. full of Shame. I'm not full of guilds.

1057. I'm not full of fear because of Jesus.

1058. I am set free and who The Spits Son of God says, free.

1059. The spirit sets. Free is free in deed.

1060. Amen and so I live from a different perspective.

  1061. I don't live from a fallen broken state.

1062. Live from a complete whole redeemed regenerate life-giving

1063. holy spirit, filled State of Mind.

1064. Amen. And so we don't give up and

1065. maybe somebody has walked away. You've done all you can you're

1066. chasing them, but we still forgive them and love them.

1067. And we take the first step as Christians.

1068. We always take the first step towards people to love people,

1069. even those closest to us. By the way, those closest to us,

1070. we sent tend to hurt the most because they see us at our

1071. worst. But today, I want to encourage

1072. you as men and women in relationships, whether you're at

1073. whatever status, it is to make Jesus a sinner your

  1074. relationship. Amen.

1075. That you're broken. But your Brokenness doesn't

1076. Define you because you're not abandoned by the things of God.

1077. Amen and today we can leave changed because the Holy Spirit

1078. I told you put your head to the Holy Spirit and what's God

1079. saying to you today. The only difference between

1080. being broken and being a not abandon and knowing god is that

1081. you put God right here in your mind in your heart and you

1082. listen to the word of God for you and your family.

1083. So you guys walking Deep end with your family.

1084. So you guys got kids that have gone, prodigal, right?

1085. So you guys got families are falling apart and you guys is

1086. Dad's or mom's or brothers and sisters, our sons our daughters,

1087. you're trying to hold together. Can I just tell you that Jesus

1088. has this? That you just got to trust in

1089. God. That you gotta get some

1090. refreshing on your souls and you guys have been to battle for a

1091. long time. As a pastor, I see the good

1092. stuff, but I see hard stuff that's really weird.

1093. Today, put your head to the holy spirit because no one is going

1094. to understand what you're walking through as much as God.

1095. Does God's Gonna understand that God gave his son?

1096. God lost his family, so we could be found.

  1097. Amen. That's love, that's Redemption

1098. and God covered us as he wrapped us in a son's arm with grace and

1099. mercy in Jesus wrapped a robe of righteousness on you.

1100. And now he's calling us to wrap a robe of righteousness around

1101. somebody else and share that. Good news with somebody else in

1102. love our spouse. Even in their false.

1103. Come on, look in the mirror. Somebody here hey and love

1104. somebody I would encourage you build relationship on Jesus this

  1105. week. Get together.

1106. Pray to go with your spouse fight for the things of God and

1107. your relationship and take those things are hidden and say you

1108. know, I'm done with that. I'm they'll no longer staff.

1109. Come on somebody. I'm going to change the trend

1110. for my family. I'm fine for generations and

1111. nobody's fighting for the Unseen generations of the future.

1112. Going to fight for the things of God.

1113. I'm broken. I'm not abandon name in fun.

1114. We come before you and God, did you ask to speak to our hearts

1115. today? Each relationships are different

1116. places. Some are starting some of the

1117. Rocks, so of ended, some of the middle somewhere, somewhere

1118. somewhere over it. But God, would you speak a word

1119. into our hearts today? Gar - of what it could be like,

1120. teachers to fall in love with you.

1121. I'll pray for those in the house and say, you know what, I'm

1122. stuck, I've been stuck for a while.

1123. I was going to have to be stuck. I was mad at people.

1124. Mad at myself, mad at God, but they will be Stuck.

1125. We'll take a step towards God. I would have reminded myself of

1126. the things of God and remind them covered by the

1127. righteousness of God, the robe of God.

1128. I'm going to put the god of the Center of My Universe will put

1129. God in the center of my marriage.

1130. I got through my relationships, I want this be built on him and

1131. no longer on me, if that's youth.

1132. I be looking around this moment. We just put your hand there and

1133. say, yes, Jesus, that's me. I'm stuck.

1134. I'm no longer stuck today on 5 for the things of God and my

1135. marriage and my family. I see your hands all across the

1136. state. Vroom, put the hands down.

1137. Father, you know, we're at specifically God and I pray for

1138. our marriage has to be reflection of you got that, we

1139. would just wake up to the reality of who you are.

1140. And God, we get our nose in the book so we can know you.

1141. After you read our marriage, you read us.

1142. You strengthen us. So people look at us, we got,

1143. hey, it's not me, it's just Jesus.

1144. I've made so many mistakes, but don't be like me.

1145. Be like God, and we can point our kids and Next Generation to

1146. you, got pray for marriages that are maybe struggling.

1147. And that they're reminded of why they're married, and who they

1148. are in Christ, that they are mission driven that they're

1149. christ-centered today. And then you put you right in

1150. the middle of that. I pray for those who are in the

1151. hard yards of divorce and hard season of the mess.

1152. Got pray for strength, got pray for encouragement.

1153. Pray that though, that this not done that, God's not done with

1154. them and they God's for them. My how far their run Gods with

1155. them. Maybe they've done everything,

1156. right? And still not working out.

1157. Gotta pray for your special blessing on them.

1158. God, thank you for the robe of righteousness.

1159. You're giving us But there's one more group people and that's

1160. those of you, the walked in the house.

1161. You see, you know what, I was that person hiding.

1162. I was that person running. I'm that person that is walked

1163. away from God. We're trying to do my own way,

1164. be cover my own, shame and sin, and they've been wrapped up to

1165. my neck and things. But then I realized that God

1166. wants me. The God pursues me that God's

1167. will to clothe me. The guys, will it take me in

1168. this Jesus he died on the cross for you exchange.

1169. All his wrongs for all. All his rights for all our

1170. wrongs, it made us whole. And so today, if you need Jesus,

1171. if you need a life feeding your purpose, one new name, if you

1172. want a robe of righteousness, and be clothed in Salvation,

1173. there's moments for you. And so if that's you, then you

1174. want Jesus, please raise your hand high.

1175. This place is I need Jesus. Come on.

1176. I'll see you guys as hands. The bill.

1177. So I need. Jesus, come on.

  1178. That's your hand. That's amazing.

1179. Anybody else I need Jesus today? That you put your hands down.

1180. I would encourage you just to ask God into your life and not

1181. because anything we've done. But all because what Jesus has

1182. done for us. All of us, it's just us three.

1183. Jesus has been chasing you down to this moment in time.

  1184. It's what's called? Good news.

1185. This confess to Jesus that you need him.

1186. Say to repeat this to God, say father God.

1187. Thank you for sending Jesus when Humanity.

1188. When I was at my worst. Jesus, you have always been at

1189. your best and you love me. Even though I've been hiding So

1190. lovable. So God, I ask you to come my

1191. life. Thanks for DOT across my sins.

1192. Got to give me a new life in. You got clothing, their

1193. righteousness. God, today is my day of

1194. salvation today. Leave leave not broken.

  1195. But now I'm complete. I'm a new creation.

1196. I'm a son or daughter of the king.

1214. actually have a table in the back with some red bags you can

1215. grab one on your way out. That's got a Bible.

1216. If they're free gift for you to take.

1217. It's got a letter and they were some resources to connect you to

1218. some ways that you can start walking with Jesus.

1219. And so maybe today, you are feeling a little bit stuck.

1220. Whether it's relationally, you're connecting to God.

1221. I have a couple of next steps that all of us can take to do.

1222. And the first one is this, we have a thing.

1223. We've talked about a couple times today called the

1224. YouVersion Bible app. It's an incredible resource that

1225. has been given to To churches to share and use and not only, can

1226. you use the app to read the Bible, there's Bible reading

1227. plans on there, you can connect, you can read with friends, you

1228. can do that stuff, but we do a little thing called a talk it

1229. over. And so if you pull out that app,

1230. there's three little lines in the bottom right corner.

1231. You can click more and go to events and every Sunday, you can

1232. pull that up here and follow along with the message, you can

1233. have those verses that we use right there, you can see at the

1234. end of it, there's these things called, talk it over questions,

1235. which are just a really cool way throughout the week to maybe

1236. connect with your Spouse answer those questions together.

1237. Hey, what is God showing you in this way?

1238. Or I know that some of our life groups, use those questions

1239. throughout the week to connect a Shawn uses those a lot of times

1240. as we kind of break the ice for our staff meeting, just to keep

1241. ourselves grounded, connected to what God is doing in our whole

1242. church. And so that resources there for

1243. you, it's there every week, you can click on there, you can

1244. click share and just download it right to your phone, to keep

1245. those questions or to keep that saved.

1246. And it's just a cool resource that can help you get unstuck as

1247. you are trying to move forward with Jesus and the second Estab

1248. that we have is this on March 5th and just a couple weeks.

1249. We are going to be having a child dedication.

1250. And this is just a really special and cool moment that we

1251. do in our church. And whether you have little

1252. bitty ones at home or older children, this is the moment

1253. where we would invite you to come.

1254. And say, you know what, me and my family are committed to this

1255. Jesus thing. We want our family together to

1256. serve God and so we'll come, have you come up.

1257. We'll share a little bit about your family.

1258. It will take a moment where our staff, our Through some Elders

1259. in the church will have a moment of prayer and blessing over your

1260. family to send you out into the world covered in prayer and to

1261. be able to move forward in what God has called you to do.

1262. And if you've been to one of our childhood occasions, it's a

1263. really special and fun moment. But if you're interested in that

1264. at all, you can actually go to Real Life Church kc.com and

1265. click events and you can sign up to get more information there.

1266. Someone from our team will reach out to you, explain everything

1267. to you, kind of let you know how the whole thing flows and all

1268. that if it's something that you're interested in doing.

1269. But it's a Special moment in the life of our church.

1270. And so we want that blessing for you and your family and last is

1271. this tonight we are seeing the real life youth launch into the

1272. Hope Center that has just been a huge time coming.

1274. getting the place built but then all of the technology and

1275. different pieces that come together to let it be a place

1276. where young people can say. Yeah, this is kind of cool.

1277. I want to know more about this God thing and so I do hope that

1278. you'll be covering them in prayer tonight as We are seeing

1279. young people come out to that space, maybe for the first time.

1281. 12th grader who would want to come out tonight and just check

1282. out what God is doing in our youth group at the Hope Center.

1283. It's going to be a really, really great time.

1284. And it's really because of your generosity.

1285. You know, we've been raising money for this, we've been

1286. raising funds raising things so that today could happen so that

1287. lives can be changed for Jesus. So that our next Generation that

1288. we see sweeping rival across. The country can happen here in

1289. our community. You know, have happened in our

1290. hopes, I'll let that be the Central Place of Hope for young

1291. people in our city to know. Jesus.

1292. And so, thank you for your generosity.

1293. If you want to get involved in being a part of generosity and

1294. everything that makes, you know, real life work.

1310. your family in your time of need and South check out this video.

1311. Serving, the youth has made a difference in my life, can two

1312. different ways. First, by establishing a bond

1313. with our team. Every week, we meet, it's my

1314. wife Jessica, Adam Ella Josh in our leader carry, we really are

1315. united in the belief that planting seeds of faith in kids.

1316. While they're young, will be something they can draw back to

1317. as they get older. And remember the unconditional

1318. love of God where they go through a straw.

1319. Eagles. Also, for me personally to give

1320. back to those teachers who taught me about the truth and

1321. believed in me, I know personally, what it's like when

1322. somebody believes in you, even if it's just one person who then

1323. bet most of you do to the most impactful moment for me came at

1324. Camp last year, it was the final night and I asked the boys, if

1325. any of them wanted to pray in every single one of them,

1326. volunteer, they took turns they prayed for you their family.

1327. They For strength. And some of the struggles, they

1328. were going through. And they also expressed

1329. gratitude for being able to see, hundreds of kids come together

1330. to celebrate Jesus in a way, which they had never seen

1331. before. It may not sound like much, but

1332. knowing like, I did. And that several of these boys

1333. had never prayed before, or at least told me that it was made

1334. an unforgettable and one of the proudest moments of my life when

1335. I can see God doing for our youth, in the new space is

1336. finally allowing the To have a home somewhere where we can

1337. really play it Roots, establish a continuity for them.

1338. That's been a little bit tough, as we move through people's

1339. houses and shared some spaces with businesses and even a

1340. church and it's also easy for me to daydream.

1341. I've pictured the future of Youth, it's in similar to today

1342. and that there's a lot of laughter and prayer playing and

1343. singing love that encouragement. But it's actually going to take

1344. place in a Space where we can create those memories, and we

1345. will always be able to come back to hopefully for a very long

1346. time. But now there's another part.

1347. I actually also picture these kids who are going to grow up.

1348. They are going to graduate school and they will technically

1349. age out of Youth. But they will know that the Hope

1350. Center, even as adults will always be at home for them.

1351. It's a place where they could still find that laughter.

1352. Still find the friendly faces and people who will love and

1353. care about them as much as Christ loves us.

1354. Man of Aran didn't get you fired up about youth tonight.

1355. I don't know what well, who's excited for the launch of youth

1356. group, man? Praise God, that's going to be

1357. at 6:00 tonight and parents. We invite you, like Sean said,

1358. come on in and play a huge part of that at the Hope Center

1359. tonight. Guys, let's get United in our

1360. relationships. Let's grab these cards on our

1361. seats and let's bring a friend next week, as we continue the

1362. series with a message called, I still do.

1363. If you need some prayer this morning, we're going.

1364. I have a team member right up here up front to pray with you

1365. and remember, whoever finds Jesus discovers real life.

1366. And purpose have a great week guys.
