  36. the finisher of our faith of the chorus of the song says that he

  37. has broken Every Chain by his work on the cross, it's already

  38. finished. So, any prison cell that we're

  39. still sitting in any chain that still together?

  40. Because we chose to be in there today, but Jesus said, no my

  41. work on the cross. It is finished, I broke.

  42. Ditto. Let's give it up for Jesus this

  43. morning. That's right, that's right, man.

  44. I love those words, The Living. Hope if you, if you don't know

  81. Would love to share a little bit about who we are and where we're

  82. going and really that flows out again our mission.

  83. Our mission is to love people. See people far from God discover

  84. the real life of purpose in Jesus because we know people,

  85. here's the honest truth. Not everybody walks in here

  86. today on, and on a Sunday and Sunday by Sunday basis.

  87. In a good spot. People walk in here broken,

  88. they're hurting. They've lost a family member,

  89. they've lost a relationship. They've lost a job, and they're

  90. walking, and they're looking for hope.

  91. We know that God's got something for a minute.

  92. There's prodigals constantly searching to come back home

  93. because they don't have any place else to go in the church.

  94. Should be the spot where they can come back into.

  95. And we just love that we do that here and we're really going to

  96. encourage you through our next message.

  97. Here is because too often Ian, we count the people that just

  98. show up on a Sunday and we love everybody shows up but we don't

  99. count the empty seats. We don't count.

  100. Who's not here. The opportunities that people

  101. are missing just to get connected with what?

  102. God's God, because God is searching for that.

  103. Prodigal guys going to cross every life he can and has to

  104. bring that person home. So, as Pastor Sean comes up

  105. here, won't you guys gives it give him a big hand as we begin

  106. our next series called brings give her a pleasure.

  107. Sean scary bear. Ha ha ha.

  108. Oh man, I don't usually get to come up behind.

  109. Barry speaking. So I love you buddy.

  110. He's heading out. He's like see you later band.

  111. Get up for Barry by the way. I got this Motley Crew over

  112. here, have to just call it out over here.

  113. So Randy, this is your idea of this shirt.

  114. Your idea, like, every great relationship.

  115. That's right. I love it.

  116. It's so it's sure it says, 11:15 errs, because I'm totally late

  117. every every second Gathering. And the back says, come on

  118. somebody. So come on, give it up for these

  119. guys, amazing. And it comes just for me and

  120. they leave right after the message, you know?

  121. So it's exactly what it is. And yes, oh man, well, I got a

  122. question for you guys. Have you ever wanted something

  123. so bad? You stop at nothing to get it.

  124. Every one of those things in life.

  125. This is gonna sound really vain. But when I was 14, I want

  126. nothing, but those Doc Martens shoes, you know?

  127. I'm talking about over that in just a half thick sole, right?

  128. And it take like a lifetime to wear through.

  129. And at the time I was throwing newspapers for the Raytown

  130. Tribune is a very popular newspaper.

  131. Yeah, Jerry knows, right. And so yeah here yeah, we go the

  132. roots, go back, right? And so my mom and her father's

  133. life, Well they're in this business forever so there's like

  134. a good newspaper job and so you basically through all these

  135. papers couple thousand a week and just go around and go door

  136. to door and beg for money for people to enroll the newspaper.

  137. Begin with, right? And so I'm collecting quarters,

  138. basically house to house. This is like, just called School

  139. of Hard Knocks apparently. And so I clicked all those

  140. quarters thinking, man, I'm going to get these Doc Martens

  141. and just saved and saved. And my mom surprised me that

  142. year with Doc Martens brand-new. My only pair of Doc Martens for

  143. Christmas. I'm Ruby about $125, which is a

  144. ton of money, and I wore those shoes.

  145. I wish I Even today by one of those shoes all the way through

  146. the soul. That's how much I wore my Doc.

  147. Martens all through high school. I was dying for those shoes and

  148. I never took him off. You'll bury me in those shoes.

  149. Come on somebody, right? And some of you guys can relate

  150. you know you stop at nothing. So you guys are just man you

  151. kind of procrastinated for that test and exam.

  152. You stayed up all night long and that's what good or not, kind of

  153. counterintuitive. Some of you can relate to this

  154. staple night to level up on the game, right?

  155. To beat the video game or that level some, you guys stay up all

  156. night last night where you guys at Surprisingly, there's people

  157. in the room. So thank you for being here.

  158. Come on somebody, give it up for our sleepy guys permission to

  159. punch them. They fall asleep as we're

  160. preaching today. Don't fall the window liked

  161. Atticus. It's about will jokes at school.

  162. Some of you guys are all in there was nothing stopping for

  163. sports, right? The practice of five there for

  164. you, stay at you stay after another hour like, you know, in

  165. the season starts next season, you're gonna train all the way

  166. through and just at your thing, right?

  167. Like you to play as parents, we can relate to this all time,

  168. right? We We get so few things it's

  169. like last-minute. Your kid wants to be that very

  170. special character. You know, for Halloween is the

  171. day before you travel to every Halloween store, in Kansas City,

  172. come on somebody, right? You do anything for your kids.

  173. Your you finally just break down like didn't come seamstress this

  174. day in age, oh, Angie and make that costume.

  175. Stay up all night long, you don't somebody who's done that

  176. before. Come on few you right.

  177. You know, I'm talking about, could find that actual paper

  178. mache or the actual pinata. So paper, mache to yourself as

  179. parents. We do crazy stuff for kids,

  180. right? And so they are really dive into

  181. what looks like to do something very unique.

  182. A very special to God calls all of us to do this, but really,

  183. what is to stop at? Nothing to bring people to

  184. Jesus? Well, looks like for us to be

  185. all in for this thing called The Gospel.

  186. What is the live on mission to be ambassadors for Christ.

  187. And so I'm just inviting you guys really praying that the

  188. spirit of God do in your life on this broken hearts.

  189. Broken wheels for thanks of Christ and the Rally's.

  190. This I'm not doing praying for a move of God but I'm praying for

  191. a move of God's people today would be on Mission.

  192. There's next three weeks that we would be inviting me.

  193. Vesting that we had pour into our neighbors, our friends, and

  194. bring Jesus, to the courtyards and into the highways, and

  195. hedges for say, for the cause of Christ, and God is going to use

  196. you. And so today, I want to

  197. introduce a story. A really a powerful story found

  198. the Bible Jesus is talking to some Pharisees is actually a

  199. dinner with them, which is going to be important to understand.

  200. And he's next to this prominent Pharisee, these religious

  201. leaders that being asking questions to him.

  202. And he answers like this and is found in Luke chapter. 14, if

  203. you got your Bible, verse 15 says, this one of those The

  204. table with him, heard this, he said that Jesus, blesses, the

  205. one who will eat at the Feast of the kingdom of God.

  206. To be a blessing to be with God, in heaven and Jesus replies and

  207. he says something that's, that's pretty profound.

  208. It's probably off what they thought.

  209. The response would be. He's Jesus parable, the great

  210. feast and so is this a certain man?

  211. Which is Jesus. This is a parable, so Jesus was

  212. prepared, great banquet and invited many a guest.

  213. At the time, the banquet, he sent his servants to tell those

  214. who have been invited should come for everything is now

  215. ready. When the plates are set out, the

  216. food is cooked man. Strike Up the Band.

  217. The ambience is there. The house is ready.

  218. Everything is perfect. All were missing is those that

  219. we sent invitations to, so bring them in but Verse 18, but all

  220. all, but they all began to make excuses.

  221. It's going to sound familiar. This is what Jesus heard.

  222. The first set, I have just bought a field.

  223. I must go and see it. I got some business to take care

  224. of. I can't make it to the Masters

  225. banquet. I can't come to the banquet that

  226. God prepared for me. I'm awful busy but please,

  227. excuse me. No, That I just bought five yoke

  228. of oxen, my way to try them out. I got a farm to take care of, I

  229. guess that man was waiting for - responsibilities back at home,

  230. so excuse me. Verse 20 is still another said I

  231. just got married so I can't come now.

  232. I got family. Take care of my got spouse, I

  233. guess, maybe kids on the way. So I'm out, I can't be a part of

  234. it. This was says in verse 21 the

  235. servant came back and reported this to the master to Jesus and

  236. the owner of the house became angry became indignant and he

  237. ordered his servants, they go out quickly and Streets in the

  238. alleys of the town of to the houses, just in the little

  239. streets, in the alleys of town, and bring in the poor, bring the

  240. crippled, bring the Blind and bring the lame.

  241. And I love this. That Jesus was at this point

  242. going to reach the people. He invited buzzing to reach all

  243. the people. The, the destitutes, the

  244. leftover the hurting, the people who have a home, the people are

  245. left out and all of a sudden, it begins to bring them in and

  246. said, service says, sir you ordered was been done, but

  247. there's still room, the master told his servant and go out to

  248. the Odds and the country lanes, if you were familiar with the

  249. King James version says, go out into the highways and the hedges

  250. and compel them to come in stop at nothing to bring people.

  251. To the banquet, go out further, go out beyond the city Gates, go

  252. into all the places and bring them in so that my house may be.

  253. What does it say? Maybe.

  254. Maybe this is important, maybe it may be full.

  255. I want you, I want you bring so many people that the banquet

  256. seeds are all full. First 24.

  257. Remember he's talking to the Pharisees.

  258. He says, I tell you he's looking around the room.

  259. That no one of those who were invited will get a taste of my

  260. banquet. And so this is a significant

  261. Parable because Jesus has literally just open the door for

  262. the gospel, to go, the entire world.

  263. She's Pharisees. They had gotten invitation These

  264. Old Testament. Jewish Nation.

  265. These L would've known that Jesus is Messiah.

  266. There is coming to redeem people from their sin, he was the

  267. chosen one. They would on all these things

  268. about Jesus. Now fact, they got invitation is

  269. called the Old Testament. Come on somebody man named David

  270. or Elijah Elijah, or Moses, or Abraham or Ezekiel?

  271. Jeremiah. All these people have been

  272. prophesying about. Daniel of the coming one, the

  273. Messiah. They had the invitation of Jesus

  274. saying, hey, guess what? Those are invited, no longer

  275. invited. We're inviting everybody that

  276. was no longer by Nets us. Amen to the bank.

  277. Whatever in heaven with Jesus and Jesus says, don't you bring

  278. everybody in, I want you to go out to the highways and hedges

  279. and compel them. That means convince them, let me

  280. share the good news of Jesus and bring them in.

  281. And so today, I want to kick off this series.

  282. What it looks like to be brought to Jesus.

  283. Don't kick off this series of a story of a man who Jesus found

  284. and how God used him and compelled him for the things of

  285. Christ. Let's check out the story.

  286. I'm John birt and this is my story pretty much is about 2011,

  287. pretty pretty down in the dumps around that time.

  288. I was pretty bad addict. I was actually doing some time

  289. in jail, it's pretty out of my mind.

  290. I was trying to fight everybody in the jail cell and really

  291. didn't know where my life is going.

  292. At that moment. It was so bad that I met All the

  293. other inmates really uncomfortable.

  294. So the jail bailiff brought me down the hallway and put me in

  295. another round. I'll still going pretty crazy.

  296. And I remember I sat down the block and it was Pitch Black in

  297. there, except for the little light on the mail slot that they

  298. bring the tray in through. And I remember the light shine

  299. through the hallway on a piece of paper and I'll pick up the

  300. piece of paper and it was the face section in the newspaper.

  301. And at that moment I sat down on the bark and I was scared and

  302. lonely. I just felt the Holy Spirit has

  303. come on man. It's kind of like I was naked

  304. and Jesus. It's just quote me right there

  305. and all my all my anxieties and everything's kind of melted away

  306. and ask the bailiff for a Bible. And that's pretty much how my

  307. relationship with Jesus started. A couple months later, I went to

  308. Cass County Jail, I was in there one night and is try around

  309. midnight, something like that and you know, you can hear the

  310. cellblocks opening down the hall.

  311. So looking at everybody like, hey we got somebody new coming

  312. down the down, the Away. Who is it?

  313. It's our buddy. Dan comes walking in the Pod and

  314. I could tell, he's had a pretty rough night.

  315. I'm just pacing back and forth. They finally sits down in front

  316. of my bunk. And I was like, hey man, you

  317. don't have to sit down right there you, so I stole him come

  318. up and sit on the top bar, put your stuff up here and that's

  319. where he stayed for the next couple months.

  320. You know, I was reading the Bible and yeah, damn, it Reed.

  321. And to, We Do Hang out, we just read and I'll try to make sense

  322. of a bad situation. And then smother guys would sit

  323. down next to me and they want to hear it.

  324. So I've read it out loud to them, and maybe they just lost

  325. two. And I just wanted to some

  326. comforting words eventually, it turned into just made reading

  327. out loud to everybody. That came to the point where

  328. they didn't have a choice because I was reading it out

  329. loud anyway. So if they didn't want to hear

  330. it, they decided to close their ears.

  331. But everybody, everybody was listening.

  332. The Pod that we were at there was 24 cell, block on the

  333. bottom, there's a pony for sunblock on top.

  334. So even the people up top leaning on the gate, listen to.

  335. It was bruised. It was a pretty cool experience

  336. and at this point I'm pretty much like a prodigal again.

  337. I've been found at that moment. 10, 11 years later.

  338. I got back into the world. You know, I started eating out

  339. from the Tree of knowledge and I kind of slowly dip back into

  340. into that lifestyle. I go Your dad's house and he's

  341. telling me about all these great, things have just happened

  342. in his life and he starts telling me about how Jesus came

  343. and pretty much brought him to his knees and he's really

  344. changed his life Grandma's. I had I was like a last thing I

  345. was expecting to hear from him. So at that moment I was I was

  346. ready and I was probably the best I've ever been financially

  347. and with me and my wife but spiritually emotionally, I was a

  348. wreck. Honestly so pretty much I

  349. started going to church like Dan vide me on his bump here at real

  350. life and God's really came into my life.

  351. These last few months, she's got me, got me, quit drinking and

  352. quit smoking started. Running sober life, praying a

  353. lot more made my kids coming up to church.

  354. They love it. It's just it's been real great.

  355. Just looking forward to more opportunities as got in front of

  356. me. There is really, I was just Try

  357. to squander knows blessings that he's bestowed upon me.

  358. You know, you look back at all. The things you have.

  359. It's like land with me. Nothing without them.

  360. If you have been xiety about asking, somebody just just

  361. holding that in xiety and it's just gonna eat you up.

  362. I just hope I may. I ask how we're going to say is

  363. no, just take that leap of faith and if it's on your mind to ask

  364. it. And that's how I was brought to

  365. Jesus. And I'm inviting you to bring

  366. someone Well, this is a story powerful.

  367. It's amazing. He came out in this family and

  368. he sat over here in the first and he stood up, I say, give

  369. give it up man, he-he's tub. So tall.

  370. Come on Jesus. You know, I mean, so cool to see

  371. what God has done in his life and up just bringing somebody

  372. right? And it's cool how Johnson, the

  373. cell reading the Bible, right? And here comes Dan right.

  374. What a great story is like. I didn't know how you guys met,

  375. but now I've got, I know this is amazing and it's just funny how

  376. God works through people. That's what this series is all

  377. about. It just simply inviting you just

  378. all through life in the circumstances, taking the gospel

  379. to the darkest corners and sells write it, how God can use it.

  380. And so, I'm going to say something about his story that

  381. was so significant. I had asked him.

  382. I said, how do you find Jesus? And he just stopped, it means

  383. like point-blank, he said, hey Sean, I didn't find Jesus.

  384. Jesus found me. I mean, imagine being in

  385. solitary right? And the light of the Gospel

  386. shines through the food, tray slot, and has a faith section,

  387. the newspaper and gets the Bible.

  388. Well, I mean it's amazing and our story is much Slimmer, isn't

  389. it? That we all Found Jesus?

  390. And Jesus, we are Jews found us. We didn't find Jesus.

  391. It wasn't, our ability was not good.

  392. We were we need clean a mess. So we didn't go far enough and

  393. clean it up and make it good. Then Jesus accepted us.

  394. No, no, Jesus found us. My friends is amazing.

  395. Verse in the Bible. Its founder Romans 5:6.

    Romans 5:6

  396. My favorite verses says, we were utterly.

  397. What? How about utterly?

  398. Didn't come up fast enough so you're like, huh, you were

  399. utterly helpless as a good illustration.

  400. I like that but we were utterly helpless, man.

  401. Christ, he came at just the right time and died for us.

  402. Sinners only helpless. When it was nothing, we can do

  403. to change our situation when you're in solitary, but it was

  404. with there's nothing. There's no, there's another

  405. chain and sin, what? Jesus did for us on the cross.

  406. Who knows? We could never do in a million

  407. lifetimes. Amen.

  408. We never could do. What, what?

  409. What happened? Romans 3:23 says, for a wheel

    Romans 3:23

  410. also, Fall short of the glory of God.

  411. There's none righteous. No not one, but Jesus.

  412. He became sin for us who knew no sin, so that we might become the

  413. righteousness of God. Amen.

  414. It wasn't our ability, it was are in a bill that Jesus Pursuit

  415. us. Jesus came after us.

  416. Do you think there's an accident that the faith section was in

  417. the cell? These an accident that he came

  418. to Christ? That Jesus has been pursuing us?

  419. He's pursuing you today and so I'm just believing today that

  420. God is going to shape your life and they've got Going to call

  421. you away from would call the Gathering so we can scatter out

  422. the gospel to bring people to Jesus.

  423. Amen! So here's my goal, really for

  424. this series is that we would each each of us in this room, we

  425. would bring somebody just one person at some point, the next

  426. three Sundays, the gotta put some build our heart that we

  427. could witness to share the gospel.

  428. You just invite out user card invited neighbor have a meal and

  429. I'm out the church, whatever it is, and bring somebody into the

  430. person's got here and the second goal.

  431. And I think, This is way more significant is that over the

  432. course of the next year, one year that we bring somebody to

  433. Jesus, like, literally you see somebody come to saving faith,

  434. not because of our ability, amen.

  435. But was God himself, Jesus. So some of you guys going to

  436. water, so you guys can plan something to sew some you to

  437. reap and it's God, who gives the increase, amen.

  438. So the pressure of seeing people coming to Christ has all on

  439. Jesus, it's all on them and so we're simply going to be a

  440. mouthpiece. And so this next year I was

  441. thinking about this this is amazing if each one of us played

  442. a part of somebody's story. Three this next year about 300

  443. of us in this church that come on, average Sunday.

  444. If we all played a part of the story, there would be a party in

  445. heaven every single day of the week.

  446. Amen. Would that be cool to know

  447. there's a party in heaven going on because each of us played

  448. part of the story, so it's not like, oh hey, it's Sean's dad to

  449. be the witness her in the church, you know.

  450. Know it's all a jobs are all ambassadors for Jesus.

  451. Amen. And so I believe that God is

  452. calling us in this. Bring series to play part of the

  453. story. I live when John was in that

  454. cell and he said the spirit washed over him and change.

  455. So you understand about coming to Christ as you recognize for

  456. yourself that we weren't bad. People becoming good, John

  457. wasn't a good person becoming better.

  458. No, no, we were dead people coming alive.

  459. Amen, we were dead in our sins or may live to Jesus.

  460. We were broken. We're in complete, we were

  461. struggling and strangled in a Cell of sin, and Jesus made away

  462. and set us free. Now, the reality is this, every

  463. time you think back to that moment for John, he never

  464. forgot. Obviously, when you accepted

  465. Jesus and for all of us, Us, we look back that moment.

  466. You should have hair on your arms, stand up.

  467. Oh, thank you, Jesus. Amen.

  468. Is what you did for me. I could have never done for

  469. myself. Thank you Jesus.

  470. And we get the privilege and honor of sharing Jesus with

  471. somebody else throughout. Is this is that Christ stopped

  472. at nothing to find us. And now we're called to find

  473. other people. I love how John talked about his

  474. favorite passage. In the scripture, they read out

  475. loud to all the cell mates, by the way, it's amazing.

  476. I just like what a picture. This is like, somewhere in the

  477. body. Should be the Bible.

  478. Some all right, he's reading the Bible out.

  479. Loud. But his favorite store in the

  480. Bible's prodigal, son. And what a picture of God's

  481. grace. Here's the father.

  482. That's been shredded on is Grace, has been abused and the

  483. father. Jesus, God is waiting patiently

  484. for his son to come home. It's no wonder that John love

  485. that scripture. So today we're going to read

  486. through the story of The Prodigal, Son.

  487. You guys ready for this today? Just like yeah yeah we're going

  488. to get there today. You guys ready little bit?

  489. All right well Luke 15 is we're going to be so you're going to

  490. run through this and it we're going to be basically in the

  491. whole chapter. So there's three stories that

  492. Jesus gives and it leads all it just kind of builds one another

  493. in Jesus, he is again hanging out with Sinners, great centers

  494. and it says this in verse 1, it says tax cluttered collectors

  495. and other notorious centers. Who knows crack Tax Collectors

  496. are notorious Has come on somebody.

  497. Yeah, right some, you're like, I don't know if the the Cass

  498. County collector, you know, assessors are here that really

  499. cool actually, because it goes on to say, tax collectors and

  500. other tourist. Centers, often often came to

  501. listen to Jesus, teach, come on. That's how you know what?

  502. The right church. Amen.

  503. I mean honestly, I mean, Jesus was opposite of a lot of

  504. religious, people would think went with Jesus attracted a

  505. crowd. It was the notorious Sinners

  506. that come out to listen to him. Often that.

  507. I believe that's how, you know, in the right place when somebody

  508. shows up, looks nothing like Jesus.

  509. Is coming because it's a love of Jesus and are compelled by the

  510. consul Lord to repentance. And so, Jesus was an attractor

  511. of people that were far from him.

  512. He loved the notorious Sinners verse 2.

  513. It says this made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law.

  514. What made them what Yeah, one person I like that.

  515. Go Jerry made and complain, right?

  516. These guys are upset, these guys are irritated why in the world

  517. would Jesus associate with such sinful people and even eat with

  518. them? Can you believe this guy?

  519. They said their cross their arms, you look at Jesus over

  520. there with these notorious Sinners.

  521. I mean, we don't let us work, we serve God, we know God, he'd

  522. have lunch with us. He did do this for us.

  523. Actually. He just did last Parable, right?

  524. They forgot. He was hanging out with a

  525. tourist centers. Like them.

  526. They didn't consider themselves as notorious in.

  527. As they were better than most people, verse 3 says this.

  528. So Jesus told them the story about fact he gets home three

  529. stories back-to-back, okay? And so the first or is a lost

  530. sheep sextours, lost coin, the third story, it builds on it is

  531. the prodigal son. So first, for says this Jesus

  532. story, If any man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost,

  533. what we do, well he leave the 99 others and go into the

  534. Wilderness and go to what was he to do you search?

  535. He's going to search for the lost sheep until he finds it.

  536. It's so important. Understand that Jesus is saying,

  537. hey, I'm going to leave the 99. I'm going after the one until I

  538. find that one and today, maybe you're the one that Jesus is

  539. going to find. And when he has found it, he

  540. will joyfully Care at home on his shoulders and when he

  541. arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors saying

  542. Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep in the same

  543. way. This is the Heavenly part.

  544. There is more, what? There's more joy in heaven, over

  545. one Lost Sinner, repents and returns to God.

  546. Number 99, others who are righteous?

  547. And Having strayed away. So here's the theme.

  548. So far Jesus tells these Pharisees.

  549. They why you can play. Why are you doing this?

  550. They're complaining about Jesus. Hang out tourist centers.

  551. And Jesus says, let me tell you a story.

  552. I'ma leave the 99 and the go find the one.

  553. It's lost its broken, he's alone.

  554. He was in safe who isn't found when I find it.

  555. We're going to throw a party. That's what I'm gonna do.

  556. These Pharisees are still set up their arms crossed.

  557. Not really clicking, it's not tracking for them.

  558. So Jesus tells them another story.

  559. He goes on to say in verse 8 or suppose, the woman has Silver

  560. coins and loses one, once you light a lamp and sweep the

  561. entire house. Once you flip the couch and look

  562. at all the crevices until she finds, or search carefully,

  563. until she finds it. And when she finds it, she will

  564. call her friends and neighbors, and say rejoice with me.

  565. Because I found my lost coin. Dinner's on me tonight.

  566. Come on somebody and the same way.

  567. There is what helped me out there is.

  568. There's joy in the presence of God's angels, even once one

  569. Center repents and so here's a theme just keeps rolling now.

  570. Only, if you leave 99 and searched until he finds it, he's

  571. going to search carefully until he finds it.

  572. He's a good every nook and cranny and every Highway and

  573. henge. He's looking every dark corner

  574. dark Road, and into the places that nobody want to go into the

  575. overlooked, into the destitute, into the dark areas of the

  576. world, until he finds every single person, and give the name

  577. of Jesus. There's gonna be a party when he

  578. finds them still not sudden for these Pharisees going to verse

  579. 11 and so is to illustrate the point further, like the obvious

  580. not going to get this. So let me just throw it out

  581. there for you and you just Rise of home.

  582. And Jesus told them the story, he said, a man had two sons, the

  583. younger son, told his father, I want my share of your estate now

  584. before you die. In other words, dad, even know

  585. you're alive. You're sitting right here.

  586. You're dead to me. I'm over you.

  587. So all my heritance right now. And so it says this, so as

  588. father agreed to devise wealth between his sons.

  589. Now, it's important to note right here that he gave half as

  590. inheritance to his younger son. This is the product rule in the

  591. story, they gave half his Heritage.

  592. His older son, who's going to be the guy that's upset in the

  593. story of the end. He split his inheritance right?

  594. Away first 13, a few days later. This younger son packed, all his

  595. belongings moved to some land and there he wasted all his

  596. money on wild living he was he was probably squandered all his

  597. stuff about that time is money right now, A Great Famine.

  598. Swept over land began to starve. He persuade a local farmer to

  599. hire him in the main. Sent him into his fields to feed

  600. the pigs. The young man became so hungry

  601. that even the pods he was feeding the pigs look so good to

  602. him. So but no one gave him anything.

  603. When he finally came to his senses, when he woke up when he

  604. went All this money and it didn't satisfy him.

  605. He was barely surviving through a famine.

  606. He said to himself at home. Even the hired servants have

  607. food enough to spare but here I am dying of hunger.

  608. I will go home to my father and what a perfect picture of

  609. repentance. Amen.

  610. My go home to my father and this is what it's going to say.

  611. Father, I've sinned against both heaven and you are no longer

  612. worthy to be called your son, please take me on as a hired

  613. servant, just take me back. Anyway possible, I humbled

  614. myself. I've been humbled, man.

  615. I've been down the road, the world not broken.

  616. Just kept me back into your family at your presence and

  617. please provide for me verse 20. So we returned home to his

  618. father and while he was still a long way off I love this.

  619. His father was It's about Psalm, that's amazing part of the

  620. story. His father wasn't too busy.

  621. His father was waiting and watching for her son to come

  622. home. His son, his abuses, Grace

  623. lunches presence, mad at him, angry him and left him in.

  624. The father was brokenhearted waiting for his children.

  625. His prodigals to come home. I want you to watch this because

  626. this is probably one of the best descriptions of the heart of

  627. God's found the Bible. The love of Jesus for us every

  628. single day, it says this filled with Love and compassion, he ran

  629. to his son, he took off, he is slammed the door and locked the

  630. door. He ran to his son and embrace

  631. his son and he kissed him. His son said to him, father, I

  632. have sinned against both you and Heaven.

  633. I no longer worthy to be called your son and a father.

  634. I love. This is Alyssa way.

  635. He didn't do it. I, this is so powerful.

  636. He did say some where you been but long time, son I'm not sure

  637. about coming back home, oh, hey, you can stay one night, but let

  638. the door. Hit you on the way out.

  639. He be out here tomorrow. Bro, he didn't slam the door, he

  640. didn't ask him. What happened the money, he

  641. didn't ask me if his money back. No, no, his father was so

  642. excited. This is where he does.

  643. His father said to the servants, he's cut us off.

  644. Hey, yeah, I forgave you the moment, so I run to you, son.

  645. He goes, there's, we're going to get the servants.

  646. Come here, quick! Bring the finest robe in the

  647. house, put on him, get a ring on his finger and sandals on his

  648. feet and kill the calf that we've been fattening.

  649. Come on somebody. It's gonna be a party tonight.

  650. We must celebrate with A Feast, for a son of mine was dead, and

  651. now is your turn. Life.

  652. He was lost but now he is found. So the party began.

  653. Come on somebody, right? Do you know when you came to

  654. Christ, there's a party for you. And haven't, you guys know that

  655. you guys are the Angels shouted. In heaven.

  656. The moment. You said, yes, to Jesus.

  657. You're the most significant thing.

  658. You can spend your life on is a shared Jesus.

  659. With people, you know, when you get to heaven, you can go.

  660. You can talk to all these people that play a part of your story.

  661. And then for the years and years and years and decades, maybe

  662. centuries to come people to show up to heaven and they say, thank

  663. you. So much for living on Mission

  664. because it wasn't for you. I would have never known the

  665. gospel. Thanks for playing Paul, small,

  666. part of story Nelson. It's be so ecstatic.

  667. Amen. And you can have parties, every

  668. time you start watching The Gospel, keep moving, like, you

  669. know, the party. Come on, somebody.

  670. They'll the pardons going to happen and this is this is what

  671. the gospel is all about. You see the theme of Jesus, he

  672. left the righteous. He left movement called the

  673. church, he left the people that are forgiven, and he went to the

  674. most broken, notorious criminals, the people that were

  675. the most needed. The Forgiveness, the people

  676. abuse his grace, the most, there's nobody passed this and

  677. he ran through them with forgiveness.

  678. Amen, this is just me today. I'm like the only one excited

  679. about forgiveness, right? I mean, dude, I'm telling you,

  680. this is what she'd be like real life.

  681. Should be the party Church. Come on somebody like we're

  682. responsible more parties in heaven than any church in our

  683. area because we're tearing up for Cass County for Belden for

  684. rumor through bringing people to Christ.

  685. This is what God has called us to do the churches.

  686. Exist for herself exist, for the world around us.

  687. Amen, the Run mission. Is that the people that aren't

  688. here are the people were called to reach we come to church or

  689. you can call this church. We come here to gather together

  690. so called a gathering and so we can hear, we could equips, we

  691. get empowered, we get encouraged, we get built up.

  692. We reminded we get put back in the spirit of God and so yes

  693. this is why I'm doing it and then we go live it out for a

  694. week and so Monday morning you are the church.

  695. Amen. And then Tuesday morning and

  696. Times were kids on Thursday night when you read a strangle

  697. them. Come on, somebody, right?

  698. That's your Jesus to your kids. I mean, all week long, wherever

  699. you go, you're called to be on Mission.

  700. Your Ambassador Christ. You are the church.

  701. Okay, so we got stopped, just going to church.

  702. Come on somebody. We start being the church living

  703. on Mission, and the route is every single day.

  704. We have the opportunities in front of us, to stand up to be

  705. bold and broken and shared Jesus.

  706. Now, I'm not saying it's some scripted, Bible College, you

  707. know, preaching session? It's a man, which God, Doing

  708. your life with her. Christian was not Christians

  709. like hey man, you ever thought about come to church with me

  710. down my to that auto man was that I'm just just a little

  711. conversations, you plant some seeds and then God's going to

  712. open doors, and you can play a part of the story of bringing

  713. people to Jesus. And then you get to throw a

  714. party in heaven. This is, this is what Jesus is

  715. saying. He's talking to most religious

  716. people. The time he said this woman to

  717. do, I'm leaving you all. I'm gonna go through my soul.

  718. Part of these people come home. This is his pattern.

  719. They speaks about over and over again.

  720. Now, these religious leaders, this moment are still not

  721. picking up ways. Putting down and so Jesus.

  722. He just kind of lays out for me. Just puts it at Point Blank.

  723. Here it is in verse 25 says, meanwhile, the older son, this

  724. would have been the Pharisees. These older son represents, the

  725. religious leaders, the people complaining about Jesus hang out

  726. centers. So meanwhile, the older son was

  727. in the fields working, he was serving God, he was falling the

  728. things as Master wanted and we returned home.

  729. He heard the music and what helped me out heard.

  730. Dance and come on somebody. I just had to say that for the

  731. Baptist in the house. Come on somebody.

  732. There was dance. I said I shall throw it out

  733. there a little bit bad as friends but there was I just

  734. said it. There it is praying for you guys

  735. to know recovering people right verse 26 and he asked one of the

  736. servants, what was going on? He said your brother is back.

  737. He was told and your father has killed the fattened calf.

  738. And we are celebrating because of the safe return.

  739. The older brother was angry. He was mad.

  740. He won't even go into the house. He wouldn't go in the party as

  741. father. Came out and he begged him, son.

  742. Come in your brother's home. He's been found.

  743. This is so exciting to be part of this in the sun replied.

  744. All these years I've slaved for you Dad, either once and never,

  745. once refused to a single thing, you've told me that's touching

  746. the law perfect. I've always served you.

  747. I'm honored God, I call this like the ministry saying like

  748. I've done so much you know, they get.

  749. So I'll look all things a different.

  750. God, how could God ever treat me this way?

  751. But why would, why would this happen to me?

  752. I'm doing all this for you and all the time you never gave me

  753. even one young goat to Feast on with My friends the whole time

  754. he never did this for me. I've been the whole time

  755. following you put my time energy in this never once threw a

  756. party, like a throw for the, for your other son.

  757. Not my brother Han and you're gonna have a party for him.

  758. What is wrong with you? Dad, you celebrate killing the

  759. fatted. Calf is supposed to be for me,

  760. this guy's just completely selfish.

  761. The father said to him, look dear son, you've always stayed

  762. by me. I gave you half my inheritance

  763. and you stayed in my presence. You're the blessings of me.

  764. Blessings of God, the protection of God all around it access to

  765. me. 24/7. For everything I have is yours.

  766. You own. It already very given you the

  767. inheritance. So we had to celebrate today

  768. because he has something that he didn't have.

  769. You had be for your brother was dead and has come back to life.

  770. He was lost but now he is Found come all somebody.

  771. This is why we're going to celebrate today.

  772. Why do we bring people? Why did Jesus leave the 99?

  773. You know, Jesus is in the search and rescue business.

  774. You know, Jesus is in the business of taking dead things

  775. and turn into life. Jesus in the business of

  776. unlocking, the prison cell of sin.

  777. Amen. In fact, Jesus cross lines

  778. crossed lines of Many religious leaders of time wouldn't cross.

  779. He hung out with through. Spera sees these religious

  780. leaders, these criminals, these Tax Collectors.

  781. He was found in places that you never imagined God to And then

  782. he turned water into wine. Come on.

  783. I was the first miracle of Jesus.

  784. People still hung up on that, amen.

  785. I mean, just like, I can't believe this and these Pharisees

  786. are crossing their arms. Instead of Crossing Lines for

  787. Jesus. Matter of fact, Jesus crossed

  788. lines of borders. He went to Samaria, he crossed

  789. the lines of ethnos of people of, of races Journal called

  790. that. He crossed the line of genders.

  791. He crossed the cross for crying out loud.

  792. Amen. Literally.

  793. He put his body across the cross and bridge, the gap between

  794. Heaven and Earth. Earth and made it way for us for

  795. forgiveness that he exchanged all of his righteousness for all

  796. of our wrongs and bridges the way, the it calls on Jesus be

  797. forgiven it made you. That's what Christ did for us.

  798. Amen. And so now we get to cross lines

  799. for others. We're going to kind of people

  800. that are going to lead into The Fray they're gonna live on

  801. Mission. They're going to invite people

  802. that we would never invite in our normal life into our life.

  803. Just so we can see them find Jesus.

  804. Amen. They're really kind of people

  805. are Salt and Light to our neighborhoods.

  806. Invite people over at our table had the Backyard Barbecue and

  807. that neighbor that annoys you. Come on somebody, the guys like

  808. Deeds Jesus, you know, I'm talking about the person that

  809. you're like, man out about that guy.

  810. Yeah, that's the guy that God's going to change.

  811. Amen. He's not beyond the grace of

  812. God. There's no, he's not be on the

  813. things of God and these religious leaders, with a cross

  814. their arms and said, nah, nah, this religion in it, for me,

  815. this isn't the way I want God to be, and it across her arms and

  816. it would have kept people outs. I've been to churches like that.

  817. I'm not saying that's our church at all.

  818. Eh, Amen, we're not that church but the reality there's people

  819. that do this quite often. There's a religious people do

  820. this quite often. I can't believe her as people

  821. let those people in Hebrew that person serving, man.

  822. You believe God's and use them that doubt.

  823. There's no way. Look at all I've done, man,

  824. we're going to three young Easter gatherings.

  825. I like going to three all Too much work.

  826. It really do people come to Christ sabourin doing it for

  827. its. We started this for and the rat.

  828. The reality is this we get to do this like we get to play the

  829. part of the story God we get to share the good news of Jesus.

  830. We get to play it, just a small microcosm of a piece of God or

  831. God is lives being changed and people come to Christ.

  832. We get to be a part of. This is a call of God.

  833. Amen. Your ambassador of God, you're

  834. the work of God. You're the best Bible in Bates.

  835. Ever going to read your kids are going to read you like a book.

  836. You know, it's just so cool to play a part of the store with

  837. your family. I mean, as as a family, you guys

  838. should have family devotions. You guys should be getting in

  839. the word of God and you reach your children for the cause of

  840. Christ. I hate seeing church kids leave

  841. God has all time though. Doesn't it Ministry.

  842. Kids church kids to get burned down on the stuff.

  843. It's like you live it out at home.

  844. Amen. Make you try to get out your

  845. Bible and do devotion and make it really short.

  846. Come on somebody. Make it fun, do some fun stuff.

  847. With your Bible, right? And just is pray with them and

  848. give them Jesus and it's been cool.

  849. My family, I've been reading the Bible with the my with the kids

  850. but really just Jack, you know, and it's so cool.

  851. I taught them. The word of God is a sword and

  852. he's like, dad's not sword a sword.

  853. He's just like, you know, just like does he understand what I'm

  854. saying? It's something that's a sword,

  855. you know, this is the word of God is like and so I read the

  856. verses to him showed him. Now I'm doing this or Jewels

  857. with my boy Jack you know and you know he's only kindergarten

  858. right so I'm like hey just go to Mark you know 14 and he finds

  859. me. Mark 14 and boy, that guy found

  860. one like three seconds. I was like, dude, you mark that

  861. you cheated or something, right? I mean, it's crazy, but it's

  862. cool seeing him. Pick up things of God.

  863. We actually finished the book of Mark when the two nights ago,

  864. read each chapter, and I just kind of picked up most nights,

  865. you know, it just, but he was passionate about it, you know,

  866. and he'd ask questions and halftime wouldn't listen, and we

  867. kind of gather, you know, just but just like push the things we

  868. got to pull things got being a witness at home and we could do

  869. this with all people our lives, right?

  870. The great joys of his parents have seen her kids come to

  871. Christ and follow Jesus. Amen.

  872. So we'll cross any line for that.

  873. And so the route is were called across lines for every single

  874. person that's who God has called us to be the church calls to me

  875. throughout is this. We're not better than males.

  876. We're just forgiving. Amen.

  877. It's the real deal of difference between me and my lost.

  878. Brother is, I've been found. That's it, I'm not better than

  879. them. My poop still stinks.

  880. Come on somebody, right? Look, we're all skeletons

  881. closet, all battles. We face all these things.

  882. This isn't a prayer Perfection. It's a prayer of confession.

  883. Like you're not like oh God I'm be perfect for you is like God,

  884. I'm forgiven and now we get the Tune to show another person.

  885. Where the food is this? A God?

  886. But I've only God's grace. I'm alive.

  887. Somebody God's grace, I've been changed.

  888. Don't you think about the thief on the cross?

  889. This is how God's grace works. This is, this is the kind of

  890. tourist centers that Jesus forgives thing about the thief

  891. on the cross. Now I just can't wait to get to

  892. heaven and ask this man. How did you actually make it

  893. into heaven? Let me think about this, this

  894. thief on the cross. He was cussing in mocking Jesus

  895. moments or minutes or maybe within an hour's.

  896. Of Jesus dying for our sins. He's cussing him with his friend

  897. on the cross. And he like, he just got never

  898. prayed. Like, he didn't go to synagogue,

  899. he didn't get baptized. Come on somebody.

  900. He didn't read through the Septuagint, memorize the Bible

  901. at the Pharisees did, they didn't memorize first five books

  902. of the Bible, he never gave, he never served a cup of cold water

  903. and the name of God, he didn't go out and lead a movement.

  904. He didn't show up on a Sunday or Saturday at that point.

  905. He didn't sacrifice in the system.

  906. He was a criminal All this guy probably ever prayed for ate a

  907. meal. Yeah.

  908. How in the world did he get in? Now think about this part of the

  909. angel pie asking to showed up, right?

  910. Like he dies like Easter Sunday and Angels like what are you

  911. doing here? What are you doing?

  912. I don't know. Here.

  913. Well, how'd you get here? I don't know.

  914. You don't know you ever prayed or you follow God?

  915. I I don't know that. Let me get my supervisor Angel,

  916. right? Let's pump this up the pipeline

  917. figure. This out, this one's hard cases.

  918. So, Here Comes This Archangel. Right.

  919. It's like, hey, what's your name?

  920. I'm just a thief on the cross. Oh, well, how'd you get here?

  921. I don't know. Well, you clearly understand the

  922. doctrine of justification through faith in Christ, huh.

  923. Did you believe in the inerrancy of Sure.

  924. You believe in the dwell in the Holy Spirit.

  925. You're sealed. Always put her promise and a

  926. Redemption. But what basis why allow you to

  927. come into heaven? I love it all.

  928. The thief on the cross have to say is the man little cross said

  929. I could come. That's the only thing folks.

  930. The only qualification is that Jesus said you could come, I

  931. love what Jesus does here in his dying breath.

  932. When we mankind humanity is crucifying them jamming sword

  933. into feeding given vinegar. Mocking him was bleeding and

  934. suffocating a died about to take on the sins of all Humanity.

  935. Here's the heart of God as it Lily bleeds for us.

  936. Today, you'll be with me in Paradise to the most notorious

  937. sinner in that day. Come on somebody.

  938. That's the grace of God. And for those of us are like,

  939. I'm not good enough and God never loved me.

  940. And I mean, if God knew what I did, oh, bro, he knows what you

  941. did. Come on somebody.

  942. And he loves you to forgive you and where the words Jesus at his

  943. best, but what example, he says, all these religious leaders are

  944. crucifying Jesus and Jesus is Bringing people with him to

  945. Heaven. Is there.

  946. No. Greater example of what it is to

  947. be as a Christian to look no further than the cross dying.

  948. Breaths. He still bringing people with

  949. it. What do you think our life is

  950. called to be like do you think Jesus died?

  951. So you could have the American dream and then on the side you

  952. can go to church. You think Jesus died.

  953. So you can have your way and then if come somehow to

  954. spiritually, that's cool. I'm one day.

  955. We got a fast forward to going to heaven and we're going to

  956. meet this guy named Paul. We all know Paul, right.

  957. We've been a church. We preached on that stuff, all

  958. get the church you learn about Paula but the reality is we

  959. might we're going to be following day and say man, it

  960. was incredible, what you did for the gospel.

  961. He's going to tell us some stories man.

  962. I'm with the Bible is not recording all these credible

  963. stories but he's it's about, we on the road to Damascus.

  964. He was persecuting Christians. Right?

  965. Who's passionate right? He was Hebrew.

  966. Ooh, Hebrews, and he was killing Christians, and maybe how he's

  967. scared to death of. And Jesus talked to him and he

  968. skills are as eyes. And he thought I was gonna die.

  969. You got poop my pants. You just can't tell you this,

  970. right? And then, then I'll scales fell

  971. off. And he went to Jerusalem, and he

  972. doesn't die again because now the Christians are trying to

  973. kill him, right? This way, things are going to

  974. kill him and so he jumps at your gets the basket low down a wall,

  975. the cause of Christ, that he met Jesus, and she just changed his

  976. life. Like Lily had the conversation

  977. sat down like the, you know, Wilderness experience.

  978. Let's put us all Jesus. And then I lived on Mission, he

  979. would travel a missionary Journeys, and those doses call

  980. was to leave. Were, is at to bring people the

  981. gospel and really, to bring people to Jesus and how he go

  982. around the kind of known world that Mediterranean Sea on three

  983. different Journeys, not be Shipwrecked and how you get to

  984. preach the Kings and into Caesar, and all people are so

  985. close to coming to Christ and some of them did and had made

  986. the gospel to Spain. And you start here addition to

  987. people like hey here's some guys at that led to Christ that God

  988. used me just a small piece of store but hey this Is Timothy.

  989. Come on somebody, write this book, you've heard him, right?

  990. And then there's Titus and this is a Aquila and Priscilla and

  991. its darkest darkest and these are all these people early

  992. Christian face. All these guys who are high five

  993. motor club, right? We're all killed for their

  994. faith. This is, this is what we did,

  995. and this is where we went and pulls.

  996. You told these stories, your sit there and listen to him, like,

  997. man is so cool what you did. And then pausing to ask you, he

  998. said, where did you go with the gospel?

  999. But what Ali did you go down what city did you reach?

1000. What church did you plan? What Bible said you start?

1001. Who's with you who'd, you bring, who'd you grow where these

1002. people at. What was like how did you reach

1003. your city? What would you change?

1004. What? He shake up and Bellman room are

1005. Cass County. What you do?

1006. Would you go? And the rally is this for so

1007. many Christians, especially American Christians.

1008. The answer is simply going to be, I went to church.

1009. I went to church. I don't know if Paul came to the

1010. Mountain church. I heard this recently America

1011. here, I'd know letter. Come on somebody.

1012. Somehow we've confused Christianity with a Sunday

1013. morning. Somehow we confuse that we bring

1014. people. That means that we show up and

1015. if God, you know, just lifestyle evangelism baby.

1016. It just happens bro. We fight uphill for the things

1017. of Christ, my mother's got a church.

1018. So passion all things through Christ.

1019. He said if God called me to reach my hands into a burning

1020. room and the fires of hell I'd grab somebody and pulling on my

1021. skit about off in a boy's the Vangelis for Christ.

1022. I'm not saying to be that We're all called to be an evangelist,

  1023. a men, like you think it's a happened.

1024. Change that God's put me in these moments.

1025. And if your life is hard season right now because on display for

1026. you to tell the people, hey, you know, this is nothing because

1027. I'm forgiven, this is, this is nothing.

1028. This is temporary, man. I'm about to walked in on the

1029. wrapped up and this perhaps that this is God just showing off and

1030. I want to help you see what God has.

1031. Your story is the most powerful thing you could ever share.

1032. That's what you're going to do. This were called to.

1033. This is A new service. You know, something we set out

  1034. today? Did you like?

1035. This is a scattering of the Gathering, right?

1036. Like, we're not going to come back alone and just invest in

1037. people. I love the strategies Redemptive

1038. relationships people that you every person in your life, who

1039. has see as a relationship that God put there for you to be a

1040. part of their Redemption. Amen.

1041. That's that every person, every person including your family

1042. including your lost family guys, put you there to be ridiculous

1043. ship. The second thing is to invest in

1044. the night, every person in your life.

1045. If you can simply just invest in, you know, don't be that

1046. weird old preacher that goes out and bangs on door starts telling

1047. about going to hell, right? Everything's about of Angel.

1048. Investing start preaching on a street corner, dumb, talk about

1049. stand next to somebody else at the soccer game and saying, hey,

1050. man, I've been noticing all the games are so passionate about

1051. stuff. And what's your story?

1052. That's all I'm asking you to do. I'm asking to be a weirdo, come

1053. on somebody, huh? But I am done asking me where to

1054. Please share Jesus, broken people find things that are

1055. broken. They want them in.

1056. Jesus is a solution in Jesus, has the answer in Jesus

1057. forgives, and Jesus loves Jesus instead, Iraq.

1058. You'll have to have your life together.

1059. To tell us about Jesus, many people came to Christ in his

1060. last year of this church came from people, their lives are so

1061. jacked up, people couldn't believe their following Jesus,

1062. and that's why they sleep. All right, I'm just encourage

1063. you this season in this moment. I believe God is calling us to

1064. be the kind of person that we get to heaven.

1065. We tell Paul. Hey, when I want you to know

1066. about, Down the room warm and God did some stuff.

1067. Thank you, Fellers, by the way, but I think God's derailleur

1068. through our church. I think God could do crib.

1069. So, through our church, we reached our city and Beyond we

1070. were going on Craigslist or churches and send people out

1071. because the spirit of God, just called Super Bowl with the

1072. gospel, and it didn't look like it did back then, but it looks

1073. like it does. Now we just give them, Jesus,

1074. we're praying for people. So God does have a Revival in

1075. our city. This is this a story as we could

  1076. to write today. Amen.

1077. That's the story that matters. That's the only story, The

1078. Ultimate matters so says in Romans 10:14.

    Romans 10:14

1079. This is last scripture where had her day, but it says this.

1080. It says how then can they call on the one?

1081. Who the never believed in? How can they believe in the one?

1082. Never heard. How in the world is the world

1083. going to know about Jesus? They don't hear the good news of

1084. Jesus from somebody's been changed by Jesus and how can

1085. they hear without someone preaching to them, sharing the

1086. good news of the Gospel, not going to preach unless they're

1087. sent by God as it is written. How beautiful are the feet of

1088. those who bring good news. God is giving you beautiful

1089. feet, come on, somebody to bring the good news of the gospel and

1090. today is a sending service, but that means is I'm going to

1091. invite you guys to say As the holy spirit of God to play a

1092. part of the story of bringing people to Jesus, not just

1093. bringing people to hear, but being a witness or your ad.

1094. I'm just believing God's use your church every single day.

1095. This next year and Beyond to throw a party in heaven.

1096. You guys ready for this? Be part of the story of what

1097. Jesus is going to write as believe in God.

1098. You do something credible through us.

1099. The name of Jesus. I'm going to cross some lines

1100. and stop at nothing to bring the good news of the Gospel to bring

1101. people to him. Probably come before you You got

1102. thank you for what you did to us for us.

1103. You stopped at nothing to get to us.

1104. You brought us with you, even your dying breath.

1105. He forgave sins of the worst of the worst and since the day God,

1106. we play a part of your story and Son prayed for those today that

1107. say yes to Jesus. I feel like spirit of God for

1108. the call of God that was sent out as a messenger as a as a

1109. basa der than my life was more than just a video game, or a

1110. sport, or a school or work. My game is on a mission.

1111. There's relationships in my life.

1112. That I'm going to do my best to share, Jesus with and pray for,

1113. and care for, and invest in the Vite.

1114. So this year, it's just all in for Jesus.

1115. I don't see. God reached my family and my

1116. community Beyond I was going to play the part of the story and

1117. maybe for some of us, we think, Matt, I just been going to

1118. church today. I want to change that store and

1119. I go to heaven. So you know what?

1120. I want all across the place. I'm at a you were.

1121. God brought me. So they had that.

1122. You feel like God is asking to be sent out this year and bring

1123. people to Jesus. I have a look around, you'll

1124. lose your hand high, and that's me when playing the part of the

1125. story. Three kids all across the place.

1126. Father God, see the hands into the hearts God to use us got as

1127. missionaries. God uses us as Messengers guys.

1128. Ambassadors for you. God to do every part of our life

1129. is a Ministry. God is not Sunday morning.

1130. God. Help us to be the church.

1131. Not go to church. God help us to serve you and

1132. give us strength. God, that really church starts.

1133. Now it just lasts or entire lives.

1134. Got so ever, we go governed bring the church with us and

1135. we're inviting people into the fold.

1136. You're buying lost, brothers and sisters.

1137. Look down on. Nobody got were no different

1138. than then that could have been us.

1139. It was us. And so God, give us a

1140. mouthpiece. That's both of the Gospel.

1141. Let's pray, big prayers and love on people and see you change

1142. paper, a group. People in those of you that had

1143. recognized, you're not the thief on the cross but you can relate

1144. to a thief on the cross, but you walked in a day and you thought

1145. mean I've really done nothing spiritual, but I feel the power

1146. of God and I feel like I need to hear the words of God today,

1147. that you can come, you can come home today.

1148. I recognize that Jesus died for me, he loved me.

1149. Today on your relationship with Jesus.

1150. I've been, I've been doing my own way but today, recognize I

1151. need to come home today, that my father in Heaven is waiting and

1152. watching for me to grab me and embrace me say I love you and

1153. say, welcome home, and throw a party today in heaven.

1154. And so today, if you need Jesus would I be looking around?

1155. That's you Davies. Raise your hand high in his

1156. place. Does that mean I need Jesus

1157. today if that you come on see your hand because I need Jesus

  1158. maker online. Come on.

1159. Well that's you just pray this prayer some of the prayers.

1160. Saves you. But your heart towards God.

1161. Sprays, very says, father, I'm coming home, I'm coming home.

1162. I'm walking that relative humidity.

1163. I'm coming home to the house. God, I can't wait to feel your

1164. Embrace. I think you for sending yourself

1165. to Die For Me, cover my sins. So God forgive me.

1166. God, you have my life. I'm ready for a new start.

1167. Thank you for the spirit of God coming in.

1168. Got, thank you for changing me. Got to feel you right now.

1169. Got, thanks for all you're doing God, I surrender to you got on

1170. be a mouthpiece for. You got to use me to change the

1171. name. Nations and be on Mission.

1172. Got to be sent out today, even as my first day of my first, oh,

1173. my God, but live for you. And I pray this in Jesus name,

1174. the church said, amen. Come on, give it up for God.

1175. Come on, bringing people home the Dame.

1176. Well hey if you made that decision today we are just so

1177. excited for you. I just want to give you some

1178. next steps that you can take right now.

1179. The first thing you do is get, you can get your phone out and

1180. text RL next to 97,000 and a member of our team would love to

1181. just reach out to you. Reach out to you this week,

1182. excuse me, answer any questions that you might have it.

1183. Just a quip you with some resources that we have.

1184. And another thing you could do on your way, out the door here,

1185. there's a table in the back with some red bags and each of those

1186. bags is a Bible and you can just take one of those home with you.

1187. Just dive into God's word, man. Just see what he has for you

1188. this week. And there's other resources in

1189. there as well and we're just again, I can't stress enough how

1190. excited we are for you. If you made that decision today,

1191. you know, Sean just got done challenging us to really stop at

1192. nothing to bring people to Jesus, I want to give you some

1193. steps. You can take starting today,

1194. actually. So tonight is a really cool

1195. opportunity. If you are a teen or if you're a

1196. A parent that has a teen. And of course as you can see

1197. right here, this this glorious image, it's nugget night

1198. tonight. How cool does that sound?

1199. And you know, I am a little bit bummed I see the cut off his

1200. 12th grade. I was trying to Lobby to maybe

1201. push that up a little bit for some other nuggets fans like

1202. myself, but they they stress, you know, teens only.

1203. So you got to respect that. But if you've never checked out

1204. life group before what an awesome opportunity to dive in

1205. tonight, it's a great group. Full of awesome people.

1206. You're going to hear a gospel message.

1207. It's straight from the Bible are going to have so much fun,

1208. you're going to eat. There's literally going to be

1209. like hundreds and hundreds of nuggets is what I've been told.

1210. And I'm sure the dipping sauces will be a plenty.

1211. So you'll want to be there. And we would just love to see

1212. you guys there at 6:00 tonight at The Hope Center.

  1213. And then I can't even believe we're saying.

1214. This already feels like the new year was just behind us.

1215. We're only three weeks away from Easter.

1216. Can you believe that? And so, yeah, man.

1217. Easter is awesome and, and just really continuing that idea of

1218. bringing Bringing people, what a better time to do that Easter at

1219. Real Life Church, really excited.

1220. Just to celebrate all that Jesus did for us, you know, we could

1221. live a thousand lifetimes and never match his glory.

1222. We could never do anything to get the gift of Salvation to

1223. earn it ourselves. It's because of his free gift,

1224. it's because of his grace and his mercy and we get to

1225. celebrate that in a huge way. And so we're really excited to

1226. just open the space up for three.

1227. Gatherings on Easter morning, that's going to give more

1228. opportunities for more people to find time in their schedule to

1229. come out here. That's going to just equip our

1230. children's ministry to have more room for more.

1231. Kids, just come out and have a great time, so get excited.

1232. If you're not already and be praying over who you can just be

1233. bringing out to Easter at real life, Church's cards on your

1234. seat and then also. So the kids are going to be

1235. bringing home cards as well too, and they're going to get a

1236. special A prize, if any of our kids, bring a friend on that

1237. morning. So make sure you let them know

1238. about that. There's going to be Easter egg

1239. hunts that each of the three Gatherings.

1240. How cool is that? They're going to leave here with

1241. eggs, full of toys, and all sorts of stuff.

1242. And of course they're going to hear about the real reason.

1243. It's not about the bunny, right? They're going to hear about a

1244. God who loves them by sending his son Jesus.

1245. Now, there's so many cool things that are happening that morning

1246. and you can tell it's going to be a whole lot of fun, but I

1247. mean, I think maybe just the cherry on top of all that is.

1248. We also get to celebrate baptisms.

1249. Who's excited for another round of bad's isms at Real Life

1250. Church, man? That's what that's just like the

1251. lifeblood of what we do. It's just that celebration of

1252. everyone who's made these decisions and so maybe I'm

1253. talking to you right now. Maybe you have made that

1254. decision for Christ over these last several weeks or months

1255. since the last time we've done baptisms and you're ready to

1256. make that bold statement of faith.

1257. And I just encourage you. If that's you Get on the

1258. website, Real Life, Church kc.com, and sign up for baptism.

1259. Or maybe you've just been kind of wondering what that looks

1260. like. Go ahead and do that even if

1261. you're not so sure. Because we would love to reach

1262. out to you hear your story and just help you on that next step

1263. of your journey. So be excited to be praying

1264. about this. Baptism Sunday on Easter.

1265. Well guys, everything that happens at Real Life Church is

1266. because you are so generous, your generosity makes a huge

1267. difference. Here's a real practical way that

1268. it's making Difference in this season, your generosity is

1269. funding, a flyer, a mailer is a better way of saying that a male

1270. or that's going out to twenty thousand houses in this

1271. surrounding area, just letting people know, hey, we're here.

1272. We're for you. There's a God who loves you and

1273. we just want to help you connect with him by connecting with

1274. other believers and people who are just supportive of you and

1275. ready, just to meet you wherever you're at and so that's because

1276. of your generosity. So thank you so much for playing

1277. a part of that and we're just Excited to see who God brings in
