  7. His Christ, Messiah, King and Lord.

  8. All the earth can now rejoice. The King is here.

  9. The King is here. Hey, hey, the shepherds have

  10. come, the angels sing. They follow the star, the three

  11. wise kings to coming back on bended knee.

  12. The king is here. The king is here.

  13. Hey. Hear good tidings of great joy

  14. unto you. A Saviour is grow in a major

  15. place. Christ, the Lord all have come

  16. to adore, to worship Him. Our Savior, the King is here.

  17. The King is here. Hey, hey.

  18. Hear good tides of great joy unto you, a Savior.

  19. Is. Here good tidings of great joy

  20. unto you a Saviour is born. Glory to God in the highest.

  21. Glory to God in the high, Highest peace on earth and

  22. goodwill toward me. Glory to God in the highest.

  23. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Man, can we give it up for

  24. Jesus? Oh, come on now, just do it a

  25. big There we go. There we go.

  26. Merry Christmas, real life. Hey, you guys got to do better

  27. than that. If you guys heard Logan last

  28. week, you guys know I'm a Bah humbug, but hey, I'm good.

  29. It's Christmas Eve, we're in the spirit.

  30. So one more time, real Merry Christmas, real life.

  31. There we go. Man, I don't know how you walked

  32. in here today, but man, my prayer for you is that you walk

  33. out radically changed by the message of hope that God came

  34. and He's our Savior and our King.

  35. Man, it is going to be an awesome day today.

  36. Hey, so we have a lot of new people with us there in person

  37. and online. Can we show those people some

  38. love? Give them a round of applause.

  39. Man, if you're new, thank you so much for being here.

  40. Hey, take 30 seconds and greet somebody around you.

  41. We're getting ready to worship again real big in a minute.

  42. Hey, want you guys to know if you are newer, newer with this

  43. man, we've been praying for you and we've been planning for you.

  44. So thank you so much for being here.

  45. I'm not going to ask anything from you today except for this

  46. one small little thing, man. all right, you guys can stay

  47. standing. The We would just love an

  48. introduction. And if you grab the connection

  49. card that's on your seat sometime during our your time

  50. with us today, if you fill that out on the top section, that an

  51. opportunity later on to drop that.

  52. But you know, if you fill that out, what we'd love to do is

  53. just share with you a little bit about who we are in real life.

  54. We're not going to show up your door, do anything crazy, but we

  55. want you to know that God loves you and we care about you.

  56. So man, we would love for you guys to fill that out at some

  57. point during the day. We do all of that and everything

  58. that we do week in week out is because we love to say that we

  59. are a church on a mission. Isn't that right?

  60. Real life man? And that mission is this is to

  61. see people far from God discover the real life and their purpose

  62. in Jesus. Now again, we know that this is

  63. a great season, but this isn't great for everybody and

  64. especially not great for people that don't have Christ as their

  65. Lord. And so today, no matter where

  66. you're at, no matter who came in, this is a place where you

  67. can belong. God's called you to have a

  68. purpose. Jesus wants to to provide that

  69. for you. He's created you to be in

  70. relationship with him. And this is what we're going to

  71. talk about today. This is going to be the message

  72. that you receive. So this is a community you can

  73. feel safe in. If you've been far from God, you

  74. can call real life home. So thank you so much for being

  75. here. I want you guys to, to, to know

  76. what's going on today, give you a little expectation.

  77. So in a minute, man, you guys are going to get an awesome word

  78. of hope straight from God's word from Pastor Sean.

  79. And then right after that, we're going to have a candlelight

  80. service, candlelight worship. And then after that, you guys

  81. could go hang out, take pictures.

  82. There's pictures with Santa. There's a cocoa bar if you guys

  83. love cocoa. And man, it is going to be just

  84. a great time. This, this, this gathering is

  85. going to last for just a little over an hour.

  86. So no matter how you walked in today, I want you guys just to

  87. buckle in because God has a purpose for you in this moment.

  88. And we're going to worship big here moving into this moment and

  89. acknowledge that God is Emmanuel and he is here with us.

  90. So, real life, can we enter into this moment and let's give God

  91. back some worship as we worship Emmanuel.

  92. Of the world treasure of heaven bring like the stars in the

  93. winter sky, joy of the father rage through the darkness, shine

  94. across the see the shudders to the.

  95. From the beginning, the tragedies of the time, with no

  96. match for you, with the great heights of glory you saw, my

  97. story got you into the beginning one of us.

  98. To the light of the world. Right up the wood, crowning a

  99. Ranger born forth because to suffer to save high King of

  100. Heaven. Death is the poorer we are, the

  101. rich by the price that he pits. Sing Hallelujah.

  102. Sing Hallelujah for the things He has done.

  103. Come and truly count on before you.

  104. Sing Hallelujah to the light of the world, the world.

  105. He's the light of the world, the light of the world.

  106. Soon will be coming with fire in his eyes.

  107. He who? Runs on his own, the clouds he.

  108. Will leave let. Us straight to the Reed, and

  109. there he shall reign forevermore, oh, forevermore

  110. sing. Hallelujah sing Hallelujah, sing

  111. Hallelujah for the days he has. Done.

  112. Come and of Julie. Come.

  113. Time before him. Sing Hallelujah to the light of

  114. the world. He's the light of the world,

  115. light in the time. Amen.

  116. He is the light of the world we've been walking through the

  117. last few weeks, just the journey of those people who have come to

  118. worship Jesus as he was born in Bethlehem from Mary and the wise

  119. men and the shepherds, and every single one of them had a

  120. response of bowing in worship to our God.

  121. So let's lift him up. Where?

  122. Would I run with you? The throne of mercy.

  123. Where would I live that this cross agrees?

  124. How great the love, a strong hand that holds us beautiful, so

  125. beautiful. So here I bound to live too

  126. hard, and Jesus belong, horrifying all things for all my

  127. life. I am yours forever yours.

  128. 'Cause there is a king who bore the scars of hearing, And there

  129. is a son who came in grace and drew and tall.

  130. Great. The love that carries us to

  131. blindness. Wonderful, you're wonderful.

  132. So here I vow to live too high. Jesus below, refining all things

  133. for all my life. I am yours forever yours.

  134. Let this up to him, James. Be God here and now, be lifted

  135. high and right here and now. Be the love if I God of heaven

  136. and God who brought me back to life.

  137. Be live behind and right here and now.

  138. Be alone by God of heaven and earth, God whom I'd be back to

  139. life. I am yours forever yours.

  140. So here I vow to live, to hide Jesus being lovely, fighting all

  141. things for all my life. I am yours forever yours.

  142. Don't hear I bore to live too high.

  143. Jesus below refined in all things for all my life.

  144. I am yours forever. Come on, give Jesus a hand.

  145. Father, we bow down today just recognizing that it's not an

  146. accident God that you broke into humanity for us.

  147. That's not an accident that you used even a a Pagan world, the

  148. Romans to call a census to come home to Bethlehem be born.

  149. It's not an accident that the end was full in your place of

  150. the Manger. And God's not an accident here

  151. tonight, God, that you made a way to find us.

  152. We have no way find you. So God, we lift you up, we give

  153. you glory. God, we worship you.

  154. God, we lay ourselves down. God, as we surrender to you

  155. tonight. She reminded the reason for

  156. Christmas is all the promise that God fulfilled in Jesus.

  157. So God, we lift your name up, the name above all names, the

  158. name of Jesus. And the church said Amen.

  159. Come on, you got big for Jesus today.

  160. Come on, you guys may be seated. I wish you guys a very merry and

  161. faithful Christmas. On behalf of my family, our

  162. staff, our leadership, we love you guys.

  163. Appreciate you guys are here. I noticed a lot of new people in

  164. the house. They brought a family member or

  165. friend. Maybe you saw her stuff on

  166. social media. I see friends from the past that

  167. are here tonight, people that are dear to my heart.

  168. I want to say I love you guys. Our church loves you.

  169. And if you're new with us, man, we're so glad you're here.

  170. And I hope you feel the presence of God.

  171. I hope you just sincerely just leave this full of joy.

  172. It's reminded of the power of Jesus as love for us.

  173. So give it up. Everybody's new day.

  174. Let them know you love them. Come on, real life church man,

  175. it is my honor and privilege. I can't blame him saying this

  176. for the 9th consecutive year to preach He had the truth up here.

  177. Wow, there's a lot of stuff and tear down, right?

  178. For the 9th consecutive year to preach the power of Christmas,

  179. of the virgin birth that God in the flesh came for us and how

  180. much he loves us. And to encourage you guys,

  181. there's only one name above all names that we bow down to.

  182. His name is Jesus, Amen. And so this is the day we're

  183. just going to celebrate big and I want to encourage you guys.

  184. We have some people that are actually going to worship and

  185. really in a in a way of surrender this next Sunday.

  186. This is pretty cool. We've been talking about people

  187. getting baptized and as best as I can, to my knowledge, we have

  188. 19 people getting baptized this coming Sunday.

  189. Is that pretty cool? Is that pretty cool?

  190. Like, I mean, we usually as baptized on Easter on our

  191. birthday, we're like, man, we're trying to get 50 people

  192. baptized. Let's let's just add one in on

  193. the 28th and see what the Lord does.

  194. So glad we did that. Amen.

  195. So that puts us at 46 people this year that will be baptized

  196. here at Real Life Church. Is that pretty cool?

  197. It's amazing. You know, it's interesting as a

  198. pastor because when you put a church ad out, it's always

  199. interesting to see the comments you get.

  200. And if you scrolled the comments, it's great, you know,

  201. I kind of hear everything in the world, but it's so interesting

  202. because you got to kind of come to the real life and check out

  203. what we do here. I don't think we water down

  204. anything, including the coffee. Amen.

  205. And I, I think 46 people that that's almost one person every

  206. Sunday that would get baptized. That, that that's, that's,

  207. that's mind blowing. And so I want to encourage you

  208. guys, God is on the move of doing something great.

  209. We, we are four people away from 50 by the way.

  210. So if you're like holding out, like, man, I don't know if I

  211. should get baptized. Well, now's the time.

  212. Come on, somebody. Regardless if we hit 50 now,

  213. it's not the point. It's just that we're trying to

  214. honor God and to see what he's doing.

  215. He's just incredible. So give it up for those who are

  216. going to get baptized this next Sunday.

  217. It's pretty cool, man. It's pretty cool.

  218. You know, the most humbling truth about Christmas is that

  219. God did not wait for us to come and find him, but he came to

  220. find us. I mean, the Bible says so clear,

  221. we're stranded in sin, yet helpless and Christ died for us,

  222. but there was no way of us finding God, but God made a way

  223. for us to find him. You know, people ask this

  224. question all the time, where is God?

  225. And this question is asked not just by unbelievers, but by many

  226. believers. And sometimes we walk through

  227. some really hard seasons, like where it doesn't make sense and

  228. we're confused and we try our best and that their best isn't

  229. good enough and we don't feel like we're making a making a

  230. difference or impact. If you back up to January of

  231. 2025, your goals, if you set goals, it may not look anything

  232. like what you actually got. Like it went unexpected.

  233. I always kind of joke like I said, a goal will lose 15 lbs.

  234. I got 25 lbs to go. Come on, somebody right?

  235. Like it just went different. And all sincerity like this year

  236. has been difficult for many people and it's just the season

  237. how it goes. There's empty chairs to the

  238. table. I was thinking about a man in

  239. our church even as we sang worship song today about how

  240. this the first Christmas but out there and I think of prodigal

  241. children just working with people in our church and there's

  242. children that may not come home for Christmas and those who have

  243. kids at home and they're coming home.

  244. Amen. Praise God, Hallelujah.

  245. Some of you got your kids here even tonight at church.

  246. But it can be difficult season to ask where is God.

  247. And I would encourage you that God is close enough to whisper

  248. that they got us near they got us here that the story of

  249. Christmas is a is a story of God coming to us.

  250. Even the name Emmanuel means God.

  251. With us and so I encourage you if you draw close to God, God

  252. will draw close to you there there was a man that posted I I

  253. just I don't know why you know critics math you know, 1000

  254. compliments plus one critic equals 1 critic right just how

  255. it works. And so I'm scrolling our thing.

  256. I'm like just leave the negativity on there because

  257. maybe maybe it does glory to God because he can see some patients

  258. on our side. But somebody talk about

  259. Christmas wasn't a good tidings because now all those people

  260. know about Jesus. And I'm like, man, that star

  261. that God sent was seen by all humanity.

  262. God is not playing a sick game of hide and seek, Amen.

  263. He he wants himself to be known by all people.

  264. And we have an opportunity even tonight, as we always do, to

  265. walk into God's presence. You know what's interesting

  266. about Jesus and about Christianity?

  267. It's the only religion in all of history where God came to us.

  268. If you think about all the other religions, all the times there's

  269. angels that would talk to Muhammad or talk to Joseph Smith

  270. and you know, here's your prophet, Here's the thing, and

  271. here's how you work a way to God, Earn this, do this, keep up

  272. your good works, pray, chant, meditate, all these things.

  273. But Jesus is completely different.

  274. It was God who came to us, and the angels actually came to

  275. worship the Lord himself who came to die for us and be our

  276. Savior. That's good news.

  277. Amen. This was so special about

  278. Christianity. And so I would encourage you

  279. guys tonight, maybe a night where you've not really worship

  280. Jesus full heartedly before, or maybe it's been a season even as

  281. Christians were like I, I know the song or whatever, but to

  282. truly remember like this is the essence of Christianity.

  283. It's really the name of Jesus. And to get full worship back and

  284. surrender and really ourselves. We we talked about this series

  285. dying allude to it about a we've talked about Mary, we've talked

  286. about the wise men. We've talked about the shepherds

  287. and they all worship Jesus. Tonight is really our response.

  288. It's about you guys. You guys are going to finish the

  289. series with worship. You're going to lay yourselves

  290. in front of God. I don't encourage what worship

  291. looks like and just kind of minds a few of the stories, but

  292. Mary's worship, she's moved by God in the worship.

  293. So Luke 130 says this. Do not be afraid, Mary, the

  294. Angel told her, for you have found favor with God.

  295. You'll conceive, you give birth to a son, and you will name him.

  296. Who? Jesus.

  297. Jesus. You guys remember what the name

  298. Jesus means. The Lord saves, the Lord saves.

  299. There you go, let's pick it up. He who laughs, laughs, thinks

  300. the slowest. Come on somebody right, the Lord

  301. saves and it's significant because this name Jesus, I just

  302. want you to focus on the name Jesus tonight says he'll be very

  303. great and he'll be called the sun, the most High.

  304. The Lord give him his the throne of his ancestor David.

  305. It'll reign over Israel forever. His Kingdom will never end.

  306. And Mary asked the Angel, but how can this happen?

  307. I'm a virgin. An Angel replied, the Holy

  308. Spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will

  309. over shadow you. So the baby to the born will be

  310. holy and he'll be called the Son of God.

  311. Here's Mary's response. She said, behold, the maid

  312. servant of Lord, I'm yours. I'm going to be able to call

  313. yourself a servant of Lord. She's a handmaiden, a maid in

  314. the Lord. Whatever you want, Lord, like

  315. I'm yours. I'm a instrument in the hand of

  316. a Redeemer. Amen.

  317. It's just let it be to me according to your word.

  318. It's interesting. Her worship move chaos into calm

  319. like that's that's crazy news. She she's not married.

  320. She she's engaged her whole life's going to be sideways.

  321. She's going to be pregnant with the son of God.

  322. It's just nothing she planned for or could imagine or dreamed

  323. of. And it would've been chaotic.

  324. But instead she said, no, I worship you.

  325. I know God. You've got a plan and sometimes

  326. in this season, like it looks nothing like we'd expected, but

  327. we trust the Lord has a plan and she cries out and worship.

  328. And it's the song we talked about a few weeks ago, Luke 146.

  329. And Mary said my soul glorifies the Lord.

  330. That's worship. Amen.

  331. You know, it's one thing to sing a song.

  332. That's another thing for your soul to sing.

  333. It's the one thing to raise your hand.

  334. It's nothing to raise your heart.

  335. It would be fully devoted. That's where it came from.

  336. Just my soul just worships you, Lord, and my spirit rejoices in

  337. God. My who?

  338. That's interesting because she knew the name of Jesus meant the

  339. Lord saves, and she's already worshipping what Jesus is going

  340. to do, for he has been mindful of the humble state of the

  341. servant on herself. And from now on, all

  342. generations, including us, will call me blessed.

  343. And she's blessed because she's going to deliver the one who

  344. will eventually deliver us. And that's the only way that she

  345. feels blessed. It says, for the mighty One has

  346. done great things for me. Holy is his name.

  347. His mercy extends to those who fear Him from generation to

  348. generation needs to hear the worship in their lips.

  349. And then she says something that most people have forgotten or

  350. don't understand about the essence of God.

  351. She gives us declaration in verse 51.

  352. He says He has performed mighty deeds with His arm.

  353. He has scattered those who are proud in the most thoughts,

  354. which is what God still does. He has brought down the rulers

  355. of their Thrones, but has lifted up the humble.

  356. So he scattered the proud and He's lifted the humble.

  357. That's good news, Amen, because we all can choose to be humble.

  358. We're all qualified if you choose to be.

  359. Verse 53 He has filled the hunger with good things, but he

  360. sent the rich away empty. I love that he fills the hungry.

  361. It's pretty good. Verse 54 He has helped us serve

  362. in Israel. Remembering to be merciful to

  363. Abraham descends forever, just as he what?

  364. What's to say he? He promised just as he promised

  365. our ancestors. Man, that's worship and there's

  366. something special about God when you get a little peace, like you

  367. pull back the curtain, you start to see God's promises and you

  368. start to see how faithful God is, and you just pull the

  369. curtain back like just a little bit.

  370. All of a sudden your whole life changes.

  371. And I don't know if you remember the first time that like you

  372. pulled the curtain back or saw just a glimpse of God's promises

  373. and faithfulness. Do you remember that time you

  374. came to Christ? Like the very first time you put

  375. your faith in Jesus and your life was forever changed by

  376. Christ. Do you remember that?

  377. If you're like me, I was 15, like I had never read the Bible

  378. ever. I'd never prayed a prayer in my

  379. single life. I've never done anything like

  380. that. I'd never gone to church before.

  381. And somebody shared me from Scripture, this promise of

  382. Jesus, and just pulled back the curtain just a little bit.

  383. And I thought, man, there is so much more truth and

  384. righteousness in story behind all this, that it has to be

  385. true. I, I'd never memorized the

  386. verse. I'd done nothing.

  387. Looks like Jesus, but God saved me, Amen.

  388. Just pulling back the curtain like that's God's promises that

  389. change everything you think about Christmas.

  390. It all changes when you realize Christmas.

  391. And we know this. It's not about gifts.

  392. It's not about Christmas trees, although these are pretty cool

  393. looking trees. Come on somebody, right?

  394. It's, it's not honestly, it's not really about tradition.

  395. It's not ultimately even about family, although that stuff's

  396. really good, Amen. Like we love it when our

  397. family's around and we just share life together and

  398. encourage each other and catch up.

  399. But ultimately you start to realize that Christmas is about

  400. God being faithful to all of his promises.

  401. That's Christmas. And Jesus is the culmination as

  402. a gift to us of all of God's promises coming together.

  403. It's an amazing story. All the Old Testament points to

  404. Jesus and all the New Testament points back to Jesus because

  405. he's fulfillment, the promise, the greatest promises of God.

  406. And he gives us this gift of Jesus.

  407. And it says this in Ephesians 289 very popular passage.

  408. If you don't know this one, you should memorize it, but says for

  409. us by grace you've been saved through faith.

  410. It is not of yourselves. It is a what?

  411. It's a what It's a gift. It's a gift of God out of works

  412. so that no one can boast. It's it's, it's, it's amazing to

  413. me how many people find a way not to accept Jesus because it's

  414. like God is handing you his own righteousness and all you have

  415. to do is accept it. And it's so hard for us to take

  416. something for free. Isn't it like the devil has us

  417. thinking that we have to earn something.

  418. You have, you have to somehow be perfect or, or add up to it.

  419. And there's a shame all over us. But this is a free good to

  420. salvation. And why is it free?

  421. Because Jesus, he did everything, he did all the work,

  422. and there's not a single person who can take any glory except

  423. for Jesus. Amen.

  424. There's there's no other name that there's no other name that

  425. we'd ever say thank you for salvation.

  426. It's only always Jesus and it's just a gift of God to us.

  427. And so this is Mary's response. She she knew this just at the

  428. name of Jesus. She knew the promise of God.

  429. She was probably 14 years old, had looked through Scripture,

  430. her heart focused on God and God just said, hey, I'm going to

  431. choose you. I'm not choosing to come as a

  432. king riding on a horse. I'm going to come in and be born

  433. in a no room in the guest room or the inn and born with animals

  434. and put into a feeding through. That's the humility of God.

  435. Amen. He chose the poor things, the

  436. the the uneducated, but the faith filled to change our

  437. world. Then you got the wise men who

  438. worshipped it says in Matthew 210.

  439. It says when they saw the star, they were what what's it say the

  440. overjoyed? And it's kind of sad that most

  441. people didn't even recognize it. But these people were full of

  442. joy because they knew something was happening.

  443. It says all coming to the house, they saw the child, the stomach,

  444. Jesus with his mother Mary, and they what?

  445. They bow down and worshipped. That's worship at a whole nother

  446. level, right? I mean, bowing down is like, I

  447. don't know if you bow down, we do bow down on their hearts to

  448. things, but to physically bow down to something man, that's

  449. full in, isn't it? You just remember how many gifts

  450. the wise men brought about 3 gifts, right?

  451. They brought gold frankincense and myrrh.

  452. There you go. I like I got this section up

  453. front. Good job, Emery.

  454. The all the all the girls up here John goes.

  455. How'd you get stuck watching all the kids?

  456. I was like, there's no room at the end.

  457. Just stuck here. It's good though, right?

  458. It's fun watching the kids. But they brought 3 gifts.

  459. But but I would encourage you and to think about this.

  460. They actually brought 4, but because before they gave gold

  461. Franklin and Sensen myrrh, they actually gave themselves it says

  462. they, they, they bowed down and worship and that's where people

  463. get all the stuff wrong because they'll say again more comments

  464. I read all the church wants your money.

  465. No money comes after your heart. And these wise men gave

  466. everything to Jesus before they gave what they possessed and

  467. they bowed down and recognized that it wasn't popular.

  468. It still is not popular to bow down and worship Jesus.

  469. It was unpopular, but they did it because they recognized that

  470. Jesus was a promise fulfilled. And the wise men knew these

  471. promises. And there's scripture I want to

  472. give you today about some of these promises that they have

  473. known in the Old Testament. And so if you have your Bible be

  474. in Psalm 22 just for a little bit.

  475. It's what it says. Psalm 22, this is a prophecy of

  476. Jesus. It's interesting.

  477. It's 1000 years for Jesus was born, 1000 years for Christmas

  478. when God came to humanity. And Jesus would have pinned

  479. these words through David. So it's kind of ironic he's

  480. writing his own story, but it says dogs surround me.

  481. Verse 16, a pack of villains and circle me.

  482. This is time of the Pharisees. It's religious people that

  483. crucify Jesus. If you don't know the story says

  484. they Pierce my hands and my feet.

  485. This remind anything, this is the cross.

  486. All my bones are on display. We we was scourged.

  487. We was whipped with a cat and hindtails says people stare and

  488. gloat over me. They divide my clothes among

  489. them and cast lots for my garment.

  490. Is this not exactly how it went? This is exactly how it went.

  491. Amen. If you read Matthew, Mark,

  492. Lucre, John, the gospels of story Jesus, this happened

  493. exactly this way. Wiseman knew it.

  494. Isaiah 53. They knew us as well, one

  495. through 6. Who has believed our message?

  496. Into whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

  497. He grew up talking about Jesus before him like a tender shoot

  498. and like a root out of the dry ground.

  499. Look about, look at this. He had no beauty or majesty to

  500. attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should

  501. desire of him. Know you watched all the you

  502. paintings and you watched the movies and always pick some

  503. really pretty boy I'm talking about to be Jesus, but that's

  504. not Jesus, Amen. Jesus, one of those guys you

  505. would just unrecognized. You just walked by.

  506. You would have never taken a second thought.

  507. You just been like some some below average person, whatever,

  508. like you would never thought, oh there he is.

  509. And we like to have that blue eyed beautiful face Jesus,

  510. that's not Jesus. I mean how humble.

  511. Like if I was picking how was coming to Mandy, I'm getting

  512. ABS, you know what I'm saying? Like not Jesus.

  513. Jesus is look what it says. He was despised, He was rejected

  514. by mankind, a man of suffering. Some people say man sorrow and

  515. look at us familiar with pain. That's pretty good news for us

  516. that God knows our pain like one from who people hide their

  517. faces. He was despised and we held him

  518. in low esteem and sadly I feel like that's still the state of

  519. the world. The steam of Jesus is much lower

  520. because he is the God of all gods, and surely he took on our

  521. pain and bore our suffering, and yet we considered him punished

  522. by God, stricken by him and afflicted.

  523. But he was what pierced for our transgressions, just like Psalm

  524. 22. He was what crushed for our

  525. iniquity. The punishment that brought us

  526. peace was on him in that, in that kind of ironic, the

  527. punishment that brought peace. It's pretty crazy that that we

  528. we were made right with God through the punishment of Jesus.

  529. We're actually made right with each other through the

  530. punishment of Jesus. And ultimately we're actually

  531. made right with ourselves for the punishment of Jesus.

  532. And by his wounds we are what? Yeah, we're made whole from

  533. Jesus. That's pretty good.

  534. In the wise men, they knew this Scripture when they saw that

  535. star. They knew this is him.

  536. That's amazing. It says verse 6, we all like

  537. sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned our own way and

  538. the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all just because

  539. Jesus is the Lord who saves, He took upon all of our sin.

  540. Back to Psalm 22, last two verses.

  541. Psalm 22 says all the ends of the earth, that's all people,

  542. that's including us, will remember and turn to the Lord

  543. and all the families of the nations will what will bow down

  544. before him. All nations, all people will bow

  545. down before Jesus for demanding belongs to the Lord and he rules

  546. over the nations. This is really interesting

  547. because you see us all throughout the Bible, we either

  548. bow down to worship or we bow down into regret.

  549. But we all bow down like there's no mistake about it.

  550. The atheist will one day say Jesus is Lord to the glory of

  551. God, Like we can be wrong in this world and will still bow

  552. down to Jesus. There's no going around this

  553. fact. It says it over and over in

  554. Scripture. So my encouragement to you as

  555. Christians, as Jesus followers, even those who may just heard

  556. the name of Jesus, is we're going to get pretty good at

  557. bowing down to Jesus, Amen. And I want to give you some

  558. encouragement. What that may look like and some

  559. reasons why #1 the peace you're looking for does not come from

  560. comfort. The peace you're looking for

  561. does not look like 2026 getting easier.

  562. It doesn't look like having the house you want and all the

  563. issues just working out and having the finances you want.

  564. All the little things working out your way and having desires,

  565. all those things. The peace you want is only found

  566. from having the presence of Jesus.

  567. This is the reason it's called the Prince of Peace.

  568. Like you can't find peace. Your life is never whole without

  569. Jesus. The Ecclesiastes says there's a

  570. God size shape in our heart the only he can fill.

  571. And so if you're trying to fill with money or sex or everything

  572. else in the world has to offer, it's always going to come up

  573. short. Amen.

  574. Like sin has a way of taking you places you don't want to go and

  575. hold you there much longer, you need to stay.

  576. But Jesus fills us and He gives us his peace.

  577. That's why you can walk on the storm on the water like Peter.

  578. The water does not have to be calm for you to walk on it.

  579. The peace of Jesus when you worship, worship is the end of

  580. striving. That's why you should worship.

  581. It's the end of you trying to be good enough, then of you being

  582. perfect, then of you going, oh look how good I am.

  583. I finally got somewhere. Your validation doesn't come

  584. from your accomplishments, doesn't come from other people

  585. think about you, doesn't come from the critics or the people

  586. who clap you. You're your fullness, your

  587. completion, your wholeness, your healing comes from Jesus and

  588. worship is end of striving is the beginning of trusting.

  589. And so I encourage you to be the greatest worshippers of our time

  590. and not to a song, but devotion to God.

  591. Third thing is this is that worship replaces your idea of

  592. happiness with a deep seated joy that only comes from knowing

  593. that Jesus is your savior. There's a deep seated joy that

  594. only happens from knowing Christ.

  595. I am not enough, but he is. I'm not good enough, but he is.

  596. I don't know enough, but he knows.

  597. And so I trust and obey and I follow Jesus.

  598. That's enough for me. Amen.

  599. Matter of fact, that's more than enough for me.

  600. He says blood covers my sins that he loves me.

  601. He wipes away my sin as far as the East is from the West to

  602. never touch each other and the ultimate he died for me and he

  603. cares for me. I'm a son of God, I'm born

  604. again. That's good news, Amen.

  605. And we choose to worship Jesus. I would encourage you.

  606. Maybe you're between churches. Maybe you go to church like once

  607. in a blue moon. Maybe you don't go very often at

  608. all, right? I would encourage you.

  609. What would it look like for you to make 2026 a year of worship?

  610. Like, what would it look like for you to actually know the God

  611. of all gods who created you and to walk with him and to worship

  612. him and to bow down to him and follow him.

  613. So maybe your word for 26 is just worship.

  614. You know, we maybe even bound down the wrong stuff and we're

  615. going to tear down some idols. It's like Gideon went back home

  616. and he tore down an Asher pole and a false idol, the altar to

  617. bail him. And the first thing he had to do

  618. was just a RIP out all the stuff that looked nothing like God and

  619. have some godly confidence. Like what would look like for

  620. you to say, you know, I'm going to get it connected to a church

  621. family to help you grow. Like it's our goal for people to

  622. discover real life and purpose in Jesus.

  623. That's why we're here. Amen.

  624. It's not an accident that 46 people are going to get baptized

  625. this year. It's because God's hand and he's

  626. blessing it, Amen. And so if you need a church

  627. home, you're looking for relationships, not just a place,

  628. but a people, Well, welcome home, Amen.

  629. We would love to have you. We'd love to see you grow in

  630. your worship and devotion to God.

  631. Not because we want more people to show up because we want more

  632. worship to go to God and more people to go out with the glory

  633. of God to a lost and dying world.

  634. Most humbly and true to Christmas that God does not wait

  635. for us to find him because we never would have, but he came to

  636. find us. And here's the mindset of Christ

  637. and you see this in Philippians chapter 2.

    Philippians 2 chapter mention

  638. It says have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, who being the very

  639. nature of God did not consider equality of God something to be

  640. used to his own advantage. We never see that happen before

  641. every politician in the world right says rather he has made

  642. himself what nothing. This is the heart of God by

  643. taking on the very nature of a servant being made in what human

  644. likeness and being found in appearance as a man that's

  645. Christmas, Amen. This is the heart of God.

  646. He lower himself down to nothing.

  647. Before I was former of a servant to be put into human nature to

  648. be appearance of a man. He humble himself, becoming

  649. obedient to death, even to death on a what a cross he said, what

  650. an accident. And this is what happens.

  651. This is what the Father does. It says therefore verse 9, God

  652. exalted Jesus to the highest place and gave him the name that

  653. is above every name that the name of who, the name of who

  654. Jesus, every knee shall bow in heaven on earth and under the

  655. earth and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is

  656. Lord to the glory of God the Father.

  657. It's interesting about this text.

  658. We talk about bowing down in Psalm 22.

  659. We talk about bowing down Philippians chapter 2.

    Philippians 2 chapter mention

  660. Interesting about this text is that in the Old Testament

  661. there's over 70 names of God. You can pick any name you bow

  662. down to God for all eternity, but he chooses the name Jesus.

  663. You never see the name Jesus in the Old Testament.

  664. The first time you see Jesus, the name of Jesus, it was the

  665. Angel told Mary you'll conceive and give birth to a son and to

  666. call him Jesus. Isn't it interesting that we bow

  667. down to God's human name? Isn't that real interesting?

  668. Like if all the names that we could the name that has the

  669. highest name of all the names you can bow down to you pick

  670. Jesus. Why did you pick Jesus?

  671. Because it's his name doesn't just identify him as oh, that's

  672. Jesus. There is Jesus.

  673. Hi, Jesus. It identifies him as the one who

  674. fulfilled all of God's promises. That's Jesus.

  675. There is hundreds if not thousands of promises in the Old

  676. Testament that point to the one that's going to come and save us

  677. from our sins. It starts all the way back in

  678. Genesis when we fell, we ate the fruit of the tree and disobey

  679. God. And God says we put enemy

  680. intimity between man, their daughter, her son, and that

  681. one's going to crush the head and bruise his heel.

  682. That's Jesus. That's the first mention of the

  683. Gospel, and there's thousands of mentions to the Gospel, Old

  684. Testament, and the New Testament points back to Jesus as a film

  685. of the promise. Amen.

  686. This is Jesus. The name of Jesus, the Lord

  687. saves is the name of which we will bow down for all of

  688. eternity because it's the greatest act of God.

  689. It's Jesus, the Lord saves, the Lord saves, and we'll just bow

  690. down. And whether you're above the

  691. earth or on the earth or below the earth, you'll say Jesus, he

  692. does save. Would he missed it or he found

  693. it? And God's grace act of promises

  694. demands the grace act of worship.

  695. That's what we worship. That's what Christmas is all

  696. about. And so Matthew 121, it says you

  697. are to give him the name Jesus because he'll what he will save

  698. his people from there. He'll save his people through

  699. sins. How many guys are saving your

  700. sins today by the way, you excited about that at all?

  701. If you if you don't know Jesus, you should be looking around

  702. right now and going man, I need to get right with God.

  703. Amen. Because this is a free gift.

  704. There's no strings attached. You know, it's disappointing

  705. that the world and Satan has told everybody that that do all

  706. these things to find Jesus when Jesus has freely given a gift

  707. and today we can worship Christ our Savior, just the name Jesus.

  708. So Father would come before you that help us to worship you

  709. tonight as Jesus followers that we are so grateful we just lift

  710. our hands and worship. Thank you Jesus, I bow down to

  711. you for so many of us tonight. Maybe it's been a long time

  712. since we truly worship God. Maybe it's a long time since we

  713. opened our heart, said Father, I need you.

  714. God. I've walked my own way.

  715. I've bowed down to other things. I've trusted in other idols.

  716. I put strength in my own work. I've followed other names.

  717. But God, I'm getting right. Tonight I'm surrendering to you.

  718. Tonight, God, I need you. I worship you.

  719. The courage is pulled back and I trust you.

  720. I'll pray for one group of people particularly, and that's

  721. those of you that don't know you Jesus yet.

  722. I'm going to ask you to do something really uncomfortable,

  723. something that's not normal in our culture, but something that

  724. God has asked us to do. Because you've seen the promise

  725. of God. You've seen just a little bit of

  726. the curtain. You saw Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53.

  727. You saw Matthew chapter 1, Luke chapter 2.

Matthew 1 chapter mention Luke 2 chapter mention

  728. You saw just a little bit of these promise of God.

  729. You're like, this is making way too much sense.

  730. I'm going to ask you to bow down to Jesus today, not a physical

  731. way, but with your heart and say, Lord, I'm calling you as my

  732. savior. You heard the stories, you heard

  733. the scripture, you saw that Jesus died for you.

  734. Anyone's relationship with you. This is the reason for

  735. Christmas, because God loves us enough to send His one only Son

  736. to die on a cross for us, that we may have a relationship with

  737. Him on that cross. He became sin for us, who knew

  738. no sin. That we might become the

  739. righteousness of God and that we can walk out of here with a

  740. permanent relationship with Christ.

  741. And His Holy Spirit comes inside of us and seals us and changes

  742. us from the inside out. That Jesus wants to find you

  743. tonight. And so if you need Jesus,

  744. nothing you can do except for accept this free gift.

  745. If you want Jesus and you're willing to humbly bow down in

  746. your heart and say, yes, Lord Jesus, save me.

  747. If that's you, that I'd be looking around.

  748. If that's you, we just lift your hand high in this place.

  749. I need Jesus. Today, Christmas Eve 2025.

  750. That's you. Just lift your hand high in this

  751. place. I need Jesus, your relationship

  752. with him. You feel something, That's the

  753. Holy Spirit calling. You see your hand just speaking

  754. to you, just drawing you in. If you draw dear to God, I'll

  755. draw close to you. If you raise your hand, I'll

  756. just ask you to pray this prayer.

  757. The prayer does not save you. It's your belief.

  758. It's your humble heart. Just cry out to God's sake.

  759. Father God, thank you so much for sending Jesus.

  760. I'm bowing down at the name of Jesus today.

  761. I'm calling the Lord and Savior to save me for my sin, to make

  762. you right in your eyes. God, thank you for the free gift

  763. of salvation. Thank you for pulling back the

  764. curtain. Thank you for your spirit.

  765. Just show me the things I was following.

  766. I need to follow something better.

  767. The truth, which is Jesus and I have a way to heaven.

  768. So God, I give you glory. I thank you for what you're

  769. doing. I praise in Jesus name, the name

  770. of all names, the name that saves the church.

  771. We say Amen. Come on, give it up big this

  772. Christmas Eve, give God some worship.

  773. Come on. Thank you, Jesus.

  774. Come on, man, what a powerful reminder just about the true

  775. gift that Jesus is and just the encouragement to bow down and to

  776. truly worship him this Christmas season.

  777. And some of you recognize for the first time tonight that

  778. Jesus came for you, that God sent his Son to die for you.

  779. And it's a free gift just for you for salvation.

  780. If that's you and you raised your hand and you prayed that

  781. prayer, congratulations. We truly are so excited for you

  782. as you walk out this journey with Jesus.

  783. I mean, we would love to resource you to walk alongside

  784. you. You can grab that connection

  785. card that's on your seat, fill out information on that, but

  786. check that box that says, I committed my life to Jesus.

  787. And you can drop that in the giving buckets as they pass here

  788. in just a few minutes. Just by doing that allows us to

  789. get you a free book in the mail this week.

  790. It's called begin. It really is a great resource

  791. for you as you're taking these steps with Jesus.

  792. And hey, if you prayed that prayer here in the house today,

  793. as you exit the worship center, there is a table as you leave

  794. with some red bags inside the red bags.

  795. It's a free Bible and some other resources for you as well.

  796. But come on, can we give a hand to all those who accepted Jesus

  797. today? So awesome.

  798. And hey, if you're newer in the house with us today, thank you

  799. so much for choosing to spend Christmas Eve right here with

  800. us. We are so glad you came.

  801. We would love to see you back at this coming Sunday.

  802. We've got a one gathering only at 10:00 AM, but we're so glad

  821. We're going to have some drinks, just sit to hang out, to

  822. connect, to reflect on all that God has done in 2025 and really

  823. to look forward to what we know He's going to do in 2026.

  824. We're going to see 19 or more people baptized, which is just

  825. so awesome and so amazing all that God's done this year.

  826. We're going to see commissioning and sending some people out.

  827. You get to hear some testimonies and we would love for you to

  828. come connect with us and hang out with us this Sunday right

  845. And then we get to give to others.

  846. And I really want to say just a heartfelt thank you to all of

  847. you who have given here at Real Life in 2025.

  848. You really have given here to move the mission forward and all

  849. that we're doing here. And it's because of you.

  850. We've seen 27 people baptized so far, another 19 plus more

  851. getting baptized this coming Sunday.

  852. We've had over 100 people commit their lives to Jesus and start a

  853. relationship with Him. Man, that's credit to those of

  854. you who have given for every hand raised, every life

  855. transformed. Come on.

  856. You guys have pledged over $1 million towards our first

  857. permanent home this year. That's right, so awesome.

  858. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for playing a part truly

  859. in all that God is doing here. And as 2025 comes to a close, I

  860. want to encourage you to consider maybe giving a year end
