Year End Social 2025

I shall say welcome to our year end celebration and social and

it's it's always fun looking back and celebrating what God's

done in 2025. As I walk around, I've noticed

we got a lot of new people or newer people.

People watch online as well. You just let them know we love

them and thanks for being here today.

Give it up for babes. New, newer to real life, always

exciting. Today we are baptizing here in a

few minutes. I would encourage you, if you

have not been baptized, this, this is the most Ram thing ever.

But if you've not been baptized and you feel like man, God's

putting you hard to get baptized.

You can jump in anytime. Amen.

And I've had this happened numerous times.

We baptized, we have a change of clothes if you need it, but we

baptize people in the blue jeans.

But if, if you're like, man, that made me be a day, we're

gonna share some stats. You're gonna hear their stories

and it's gonna be really, really exciting.

But let's just look back at 2025 just for a minute, and 2025 was

a a year of bold faith and we stepped out with some goals.

And it's sometimes you set goals and you just don't look back at

them because you're like, man, those are we didn't get anywhere

near our goals. That's not the case.

So 2025 we set a goal, one of the goals, what's let's baptize

50 people and that was a big goal and we're knocking it 50 a

day, but we're going to be really close.

Amen. And so go God because that's a

big number and that's you talk about a person that we getting

baptized. So pretty cool.

We set a goal to create 20 disciple makers in our church,

so people that can help other people grow spiritually, very

intentionally doing that through relationships.

And so my wife and I, we're going to talk about later, we're

commissioning some people out today and we're going to

Commission 18 people to make disciples.

So we got real close to that goal.

Amen. So go God.

The third goal we set last year, which we set the goal, we had no

real plan of how to reach the goal, but we said, hey, we're

going to try to raise our first million towards our first

permanent space. And you guys know if you've been

here, we're we're, we've committed as a church over

$1,000,000 to our first permanent space.

So third goal reached. Amen.

So it's pretty cool stuff. So it's exciting.

I'm going to run through just a couple things that God did in

2025. Just some story like stat side,

we'll do some stories later, but here's the, here's the big

rocks. So 104, we have 104 new

believers in 2025. Amen.

So that's pretty cool. So that's about two people every

single time we met or throughout the week that you celebrate on

Sunday as well. So you have 140 new believers.

Raise your hand if you came to Christ this year through real

life Church 2025, Raise your hand if that's you.

Y'all being shy. I see some hands give it up for

those who came to Christ this year.

There you go. Pretty cool.

All right, so we've had 27 people baptized this year so

far, and we have more today. So raise your hand if you been

baptized this year in real life. You got some people over here

through 4 over here. Nice, nice.

You guys are going for it. Oh man.

So we've had people. Our church didn't exist unless

you guys get real excited about just investing in people,

sharing the gospel, people coming out.

So this year we had just over 501st time guests to real life.

And so if you're the first time this year, raise your hand.

If you're the first time to real life this year, put your hand up

all around the room. There's so many of you guys.

Give it up for those guys. Amen.

Pretty cool. Oh man, so digital side, this is

so interesting. There's so many numbers you

could put on this, but we had 73,000 minutes of content viewed

this last year through real Life Church.

That's a lot of content going out.

Amen. We had 670 individual people

join us on church online. I think we grew by 130 YouTube

subscribers, which is people just going to see our stuff.

So that's amazing. Real life kids every week they

average 76 kids every single Sunday.

That's pretty good. Amen.

So making disciples with their kids, their their second kids

camp this year they had 20 people come out to connect camp,

which was awesome. I think, I don't know, last year

was a handful. So 20 was really big.

Our teenagers, we had 27 teens every week on average meet with

real life youth. So give up for our youth group,

youth group leaders. Pretty cool, we had 31 teenagers

go down to the lake house for youth camp this year.

Destroyed our place. Come on somebody, it's awesome.

Life groups is pretty cool for our life group leaders.

We had 27 different life groups offered all throughout 2025 S

give up for our life group leaders.

Amen. Guess make it happen man.

We did a mission trip to Bogota, Colombia, South America.

We had 11 people on that trip. We usually do a couple trips,

but if you want that trip, thanks for going and it's

amazing what God does across the world.

Give it up for the our missions team this year.

Amen. And of course, difference maker,

we've been talking about this quite a bit.

We had 1,905,000 pledged towards our first permanent space for

the next two years and we've collected this is pretty cool.

So far, just since we did our celebration Sunday, we've had

200 and I think this, this is 210, but we have $211,000 that

have been given towards that space.

Amen. That's pretty good.

So go God. And then this year we've had 63

new donors in 2025. That's a lot of new donors.

Like that's amazing. So give it up for a bait who

started giving this year. We appreciate you guys.

And then we did something special this year.

We actually rolled out our first group of elders in our church.

And elders are like spiritual leaders.

They set the spiritual pace. They're here to keep unity

really covering for me and Diane and our staff and our team.

They pray over us. They, they, they help us, they

coach us. They solve problems, they step

into situations where they need counseling, all sorts of great

things. And so we've had six couples

that we've invested in that are meeting monthly, praying for our

church, helping out in different situations.

There you go. The Spirit of God has landed

today. So I'm going to invite our

elders. I don't know if they can make

their way up here or not. Yeah, we can make it away.

So just so you know who these guys are and their families.

So they serve as a couple. But the first group up.

Yeah. Well, we got some base for the

elders. I love it.

I don't think they're here. Barry and Christy, I think are

both sick as dogs. So say every say Aww.

They're watched online, bro, you know?

But Barry and Christy, Rick and Penny.

Where's Rick and Penny? They're right here.

So they're helping out. So give it for Rick and Penny.

Scott and Jenny Kuya. Where they at?

You come up here. They're kind of stuck over

there. So Scott and Jenny, man, this

these guys are awesome, dude. They got a yay.

is sick as well. I know these guys hanging out

Nice. And last but not least, we have

Chuck and Jill Smith. Where's Chuck and Jill at?

We're actually looking for somebody to give a speech.

So we're going to have Jill come on up here.

And I'm just kidding. She would kill me.

So, but I will say these, these men and women have stepped in

the gap and behind the scenes, they're the ones praying for our

church. And it's that prayer that leads

our church forward, Amen. And they help me and Diane, like

there's so much that we, we, we carry a lot of weight, right?

Like every time we lead there, there's victories and defeats

all in the same moment. And whether you know it or not,

there's people coming or leaving or marriage is falling apart and

people getting together. It's just, it's sometimes it's

hard, Amen? And these, these men and women,

they, they really kind of hold our hands up and pray for us.

And there's situations they walk in into the, into the hard

things. And so love on these guys, Amen.

Pray for these men and their spouses that lead the way for a

church. This is what brings us forward

and this is what keeps our church as healthy as humanly

possible, Amen. And that's what we're realized

about try to be healthy. So give for these guys one more

time. Let them know you love them.

Let me pray for you guys real quick to augmented that before

that, but this is pray real quick.

Finally, God thanks so much for our elders.

God, thanks for identifying men and women that just carry your

your cause guys. God, those that see with

ministry eyes that are moved by the Holy Spirit, that step into

maybe difficult situations that hold the unity that look for

things that need to be shored up.

Pray for a blessing on their families.

God pray that they can they guide our church and just keep

it as healthy as possible. Get that they have the liberty

and the freedom to speak up when they see something when they

sent something that they would bring unity to our church.

The men and women that know your word and follow your spirit and

help guide and lead our church in the future.

So God, we were grateful for these men and women and the part

they put on my life as well. God just extremely grateful and

thankful for them. So give it up one more time for

elders. Amen.

All right, we are going to baptize today and baptism is

it's really special because these people have All Star

relationship with Jesus and this is their first really like I

received the gift of salvation, but this is the first step of

obedience to giving back. And I was telling them when you

get baptized, Jesus got baptized at the start of his public

ministry. And when you get baptized, it's

a start of really a lifelong journey of obedience towards

Christ. And you get baptized, not just

because Jesus did it, but Jesus also commands us.

It's one of the only things that Bible of Jesus really you

measure in the Bible. Go and make disciples, baptizing

them. They follow the Holy Spirit.

And so baptism just a picture of what Jesus did for us.

So there's no saving grace in this water, but it's a picture

of really a death to yourself. Like we're crucified with

Christ. It's the only I that live, but

Christ that lives in me. And so that's what they're doing

this proclaiming that Christ lives in them that will live for

Jesus. So I want to encourage you guys

when they get baptized, I want you to cheer them on like the

biggest cheer you could ever give.

Amen. Because this is super, super

amazing. And it's, it's a, it's a step in

their journey you're going to take once.

But we live this every day in obedience.

We're cheering on their obedience in Christ.

And so I'm excited today. I get to baptize my daughter

today, which is always exciting. I'm excited for everyone of

their stories. You're going to hear their

stories. I just pray, listen, lean in.

And maybe today you're like, I've never been baptized, but I

know Jesus. Well, guess what, There's room

for you. Amen.

All right, give me up for one more time for these guys.

All right, well, part of baptism is we get to share their story.

So we ask them a few questions ahead of time and I get the

pleasure of reading them to you guys this morning.

So first we have Emory Petrie as she's getting in the baptistry

with her mom and dad, Shawn and Diane or her Jesus story.

She said, I love and trust God and I know that he loves me.

I've gone to church my whole life and I know Jesus loves me

because every night when I was growing up, my mom sang the song

Jesus loves me to me before I went to bed.

Now I read the Bible or devotionals before I get bed.

I go to kids church and I talk to Jesus every night.

I also love to sing songs to Jesus like my favorite song

Praise Holy Forever or Waymaker. Why do you want to get baptized

today? She said.

I want to get baptized to show everybody that I believe in God.

I'm excited to show everyone that I believe in Him.

Somebody's had an important impact on her walk, she said.

My mommy, because she reads the Bible with me, she prays and she

sings with me. And my dad has also taught me a

lot about Jesus and the Bible. And Mr. Bill and real life kids

taught me a lot about the Bible. Next we have a Ruth OOTS.

She shared that I was raised in the church and grew up knowing

about God, but as I got older I became more concerned with the

ways of the world and began seeking approval and validation

from things and people rather than God.

As life went on, I got married and was blessed with two

beautiful children, but when my marriage ended in divorce, I

felt completely lost. Searching for validation in all

the wrong places. I saw a sign for Real Life

Church and something inside me said to so I decided to show up

one Sunday. From the moment I stepped

through the doors, I was welcomed with open arms, warmth,

kindness, and love. Since coming, I've made

meaningful connections with people who have not only

impacted my life, but also my kids through community.

I felt a pull on my heart to fully surrender my life to

Christ and lay everything down at His feet.

Trusting in His perfect timing, my children have now also

surrendered their lives to Jesus.

A verse that's always been close to my heart is Ecclesiastes 311,

for he has made everything beautiful in its time, and it

reminds me that God's timing is always perfect.

Ruth wants to get baptized today, she says.

Today I stand renewed, learning to walk in His purpose and His

grace. I'm grateful for where he's

brought me and for the beauty that he continues to create in

every part of my life. Both Christy Hardy and Tanya

Taylor have had an impact on her walk for all the prayers and

hugs every Sunday morning. Next we have Haley Highsum and

Harmony Sanders that are getting baptized together.

Haley shared that her story, My life before God was difficult.

I made some bad choices recently and I was scared I'm going to

lose my home. Worrying about this and worrying

about my two kids helped me realize that I need to get right

with God because He will help me in believing that everything

will be OK. This last year has been

difficult, but I was invited to church and realized that I

needed Jesus in my life. Haley wants to get baptized to

follow Jesus and she wants everybody else to know Him.

She shared that Christy Hardy has helped her in so many ways

and had a special impact on her walk with God.

We also have Harmony Sanders. She shared that her grandpa

played a big role in her faith and helped her realize that her

need for Jesus was there in her life.

She wants to get baptized to get closer to Jesus and to do that

next step for her faith. She wants to tell others about

Him, she said. Her great grandpa and grandma

and her mom's mom have all been such strong examples of what it

looks like to follow Jesus. Next we have Brittany Morrison

Brittany's story. Before starting my relationship

with Jesus, I was constantly feeling dragged down by the

world around me. I felt that I had to handle all

the things on my own. One day, when everything had

just become too much, my coworker asked if she could pray

over me. She asked about my relationship

with Jesus and I explained that I've always been interested in

knowing Jesus, but I just didn't know where to start.

I knew of Jesus, but I didn't know Jesus.

She led me to call out to Jesus to save me, and I did.

Afterwards, I could feel all the weights of my problems being

lifted. Now I know that Jesus died for

my sins, meaning I no longer have to be worried or burdened

by the weight of the world because Jesus took that for me.

I look forward to growing my faith and living my life through

Christ and giving all the glory to God.

Brittany wants to get baptized. She doesn't want to hide her

faith in God any longer. He's the reason for everything

in my life. She said He's led me to my

amazing fiance Garrett and my teaching career.

Without God, I know I would not be where I am today.

I just want to show my appreciation for Him in this

step of obedience. Somebody who's had a special

impact on her walk is Monica Crabtree.

She led me to be saved by Jesus and she's always willing to pray

with me and teach me about following God.

Next we have Dakota and Carson Mercer Dakota's story.

So throughout my life I've always known about Jesus Christ

and God's presence in this world.

I did not grow up in the church and I was baptized at a young

age. As I got older I took a big step

away and let the evil in the world take a hold of me which

impacted my day-to-day life in a negative way.

I was lost in my own suffering and inside a hell of my own

creation. My step back to my faith has

broken down the walls I've built around myself and that God has

built me back up to be the best husband and father that I always

knew it could be. All things, good and bad, happen

for a reason, and it's all his will.

There's no denying him. Thank you, my Lord Jesus Christ.

Dakota wants to be baptized today, to be renewed in his

faith and to show everybody that he's committed to following

Jesus. Somebody who's had a special

impact on his walk, he said a very special thank you to my

wife, Carmen Mercer. With you, I got back into church

and grew back into my faith stronger than ever before.

I've learned to let go of my anger and to be patient with you

next to me and with the Lord in my heart.

Then we have Carson. Be sure that I love going to

church with my family and learning about Jesus.

And I want to get baptized because I love the Lord.

I love learning that He died on the cross for our sins.

Carson wanted to add as well that his parents have had a big

impact on helping him know and follow Jesus.

All right, next we have up Olivia Collins when we asked

Olivia to share her Jesus story. Olivia shared.

She said I am 8 and ready to commit my life to Jesus and to

declare that through baptism. She said I want to get baptized

to show my family and Jesus that I'm serious about my faith and

somebody who had a very special impact on my Christian walk that

I want to thank is my mom and my dad.

So cool to see kids and their faith.

The. So awesome.

Next up we have Kale Morlock. Kale's joined by his dad and by

his uncle in the baptistry. We asked Kale his Jesus story

and he said my life before Jesus was happy but I missed Jesus.

The night I asked Jesus into my heart.

I told my Mama that I love Jesus and he is my best friend and I

always want him to be with me in my heart wherever I go.

Because of Jesus, I help people and that makes me happy to see

others smile. Kale wants to get baptized today

because he says I want Jesus to be my savior.

I need God in my heart and I don't want to let him go.

Someone special who's had an impact on Kale's walk.

He said my Mama, because she teaches me how to pray with my

hands. She teaches me in the Bible

stories of how Jesus helped others as well.

So awesome. Next up is Anthony Rodriguez.

Anthony's joining us today and he shared a little bit about his

story. He said he grew up in the

Catholic Church, but for a lot of years he had had some hard

things come across his life and he had walking away from church

and from God and he would never been baptized.

But he said now that he's walking back towards his faith,

he wants to get baptized today to show everybody that his faith

in Christ is strong and that he is following him with his life

now. Next up we have Blake Alexander.

Yep, you can give it up for Blake.

Blake's got his cheering section over here.

It's awesome, Blake shared with us, he said.

Growing up, I had always gone to church with my family, but when

my mother passed away, I stepped away from my walk with God and I

went on a dark path to mask my pain.

I decided to try and turn my life around when I went off to

college, and while there I met Abby, who's now my wife.

She helped to lead me back on this path and introduced me to

some amazing mentors at Real Life, where we now call our

home. He said I was baptized when I

was younger, but I didn't understand what it meant.

Now that I understand what it means as an adult, I'm

committing Today. I'm getting baptized to show my

commitment to my family, to my mentors, and to Christ to show

that I'm committed to deepening my walk with Him.

Those who had a special impact on my walk is my wife and it's

our church family in real life. And last we have Matthew

Hieronymus. Matthew shared a story with us

and he said I had a rough childhood growing up.

He said I grew up with drugs and with abuse in the home and when

given the choice as a kid, it was better to be at church than

at home. So as a kid I went to church and

I did a lot of youth things in church, but I was never

baptized. But I believed in God and had

faith in him, Matthew shared. He said when I was 15, I found

my mother dead from a drug overdose, and that's when I

turned away from God. It was only a few months ago

that I recently started coming back to church with my wife,

initially just to support her. But God's been working on me

too. And so today I'm declaring my

faith and love and belief in Jesus Christ.

I want to be a better husband and father, and I want to lead

my family the way that Christ would in the Christian way.

The person who had the most special impact on my walk is

Carrie Hieronymus. And she said I have seen first

hand that her spirit and her belief have changed for the

good. And I saw what she had and I

knew I wanted to have a part of that in my life as well, too.

All right, let's give it up one last time.

For everybody who was baptized today, it's such an incredible

time hearing their stories, seeing how God has transformed

their lives. It never gets old.

And so to celebrate, I'd like to invite you all to stand.

We're going to take just a second of worship and we're

going to sing a song that I love, that we know, but it

really is a song about not how OK things become better, but how

dead things come alive. And that's really what God does

in our hearts when he makes us new in Christ.

And this baptism is a picture of that.

So let's let's worship him today.

And I search the world that it couldn't fail me.

Man's empty praise and treasures that fade.

I never know that you came along and pulled me back together.

Every desire is now satisfied here in your love.

Oh, there's nothing better than you.

There's nothing better than you. Oh Lord, there's nothing,

because nothing is a better than you.

And I'm not. Afraid to show you my weakness,

my failures and flaws. Lord, you've seen them all and

you still call me Fred. Thank you, Jesus, because I

care. Out of the mountain is the God

of the valley. If there's not a place, your

mercy and grace won't find me again.

Holy, there's nothing better than you.

you. Come on, give him a shout of

praise this morning, for he's good.

You turn graves into garden, turning bold and chewing on.

You turn bold into army. You make your way through the

sea. You turn season.

To highways. You're the only one who came.

You're the only one who care. You're the only one who care.

Give him a big old shot of praise today for what he's done.

Well, that was exciting. That was pretty cool.

Give it for We got baptized. Man, that's amazing.

I know you heard the stories. It's just amazing how God's

grace just moves through people and how far God can just bring

somebody back. And man, just it was very

touching. So you guys be seen just for a

minute. We're going to take a a few

minutes and we're going to Commission some people in our

church this last year. We recognized the beginning of

last year. Like we need to have people

helping people grow spiritually. It's not enough just to show up

on a Sunday and just here get one meal a week, but we need

people in intentional disciple making relationships like people

can help people grow spiritually.

I'll often ask people, hey, would you like to have somebody

help you grow spiritually? Yes.

And so this last year we set out on a journey to help create

disciple makers. And we're going to all those

people have been through the journey.

My wife's going to kind of tell you about what they've gone

through and we're going to come out on stage and pray over them.

So without further ado, give it up for Diane.

Come on. OK, awesome.

So with the people. Or.

With the team, Yeah. Talk a little bit.

OK, cool. So about a year ago, actually,

we set out on this journey, like Sean said, to dive in, to create

these disciple making relationships, to pray through

the wide groups of people that are represented in real life, to

say who has on them that maybe they'd be interested in being a

disciple maker. And we prayed over lists and

poured over lists. And we had a group of men and

women that committed to meet with us every week over the

course of the last year to do several things, to have

accountability on daily Bible reading that we read together,

to have weekly scripture memorization as we got together,

and also to weekly walk alongside each other as we built

in these different spiritual practices into our lives.

So we took a deep dive into the practices of scripture, of

prayer, of solitude, Sabbath, of generosity, community.

And I'm going to forget a couple of them.

Service witness. I think that's it.

Oh, fasting, of course, which was actually most people's

favorite one, which was really cool.

But the true joy was at the beginning of the year, seeing

this group of people a little bit uneasy.

Like I don't know if I'm going to be able to commit to this.

This might be hard. And seeing that mindset shift

into like, I don't know what I'm going to do when we're done

meeting like this has become such a pivotal part of our lives

and our spiritual walk and really turning into that.

Like I'm going to miss this time together.

But what's really beautiful about the way God works is that

this time together ends and we get to multiply that out and

launch it and to see what God can do as we continue to build

these relationships across real life.

So what we're doing next in this next season is then saying, OK,

making disciples has been at the heart of what Jesus has called

us to do since the very beginning, right in Matthew

2819. He says, therefore go and make

disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of

the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And so seeing lost people become found has been at the heart of

real life since we launched. You know, that's our mission to

see help those who are lost to find real life and purpose in

Jesus right. But in Matthew 28 verse 20 it it

Matthew 28:20

carries on and it says teaching them to obey everything I've

commanded you. Surely I'm with you always to

the very end of the age. But nerd alert moment for a

second that teaching there. It's not just information.

It's not let me tell you more things.

This teaching is transformation. How do I make my life look more

like Jesus's life, not just to learn more things about him.

And so his Commission began. Go make disciples.

But this constant transformational practice, this

is how we see the word of God move and shape lives.

And it's how the early church really grew, the church

relational disciple making. So each one of these disciple

makers that we are getting ready to introduce and pray over up

here is actually being commissioned to go out and to

make more disciples across real life.

So what is commissioning? Maybe you've never been a part

of a commissioning type service or a commissioning church that

sent people out in this way. Commissioning comes right from

the New Testament, and so today we are going to participate in

this commissioning. What is it?

It's an act of setting apart people for a unique or specific

ministry or to a specific place or to a specific calling or a

specific people and what they did.

So we see this in Acts 13, two through 3.

Let's fit, yes, that guy up there.

So this is the early church and the church at Antioch actually

it says while they were worshipping the Lord and

fasting, the Holy Spirit said, set apart for me Barnabas and

Saul for the work which I have called them.

And so after they fasted and prayed, they placed their hands

on them and they sent them off. I want you to see three really

fast things here. First is that the Holy Spirit

moved when they made space for him to move.

They were worshipping, they were fasting, they were saying, God

move through us. And you can ask any one of these

disciple makers, taking a minute to fast to withhold, to listen

to the Lord. It's so cool to hear him speak

in that way. 2nd, is this the Spirit of God set them apart for

a work. So God called those people to

say, I'm going to take a step of they were actually, this is one

of the first times that the, the Spirit of God, the church moved

outside of its walls to go reach more people, which is so cool.

And 3rd is this, the church laid hands on them.

They put their hands on them to pray.

And what this represents is a couple of things.

First, it's a physical act that shows a spiritual

representation. It's showing them support to say

we're praying over you, our hands are on you because we

support you in going out to make disciples in this way.

And second, it was actually kind of a spiritual impartation of

power to say we are also sending you in the Spirit of God to do

this. And so with these examples,

today we're going to introduce you to our disciple makers, and

we as a church are going to pray over them and Commission them

specifically to the work of making disciples through real

life church. Awesome.

So without full ado, I'm going to invite our guys up.

Hardy and I, I know a couple of these guys are out sick today.

So these are the guys we met every Thursday morning at the

bright time of 5:30 every morning this whole year at

mostly my house and just got in the word of God and prayed

together and just ask each other what's it look like to follow

Jesus? And we went through the

practices, These guys memorized scripture, made the guys every

day open their journal, journal every day, reviewed the

scripture, recited scripture every week.

Some of you guys took your spouse along with you.

It's just fantastic. And I'm very proud of you guys.

You know, we kind of see this in youth groups sometime where kids

get excited, we do some things, but adults carving out basically

an hour and a half to two hours a week for Jesus to deep dive.

And these guys, you know, lead the way and share what they know

the Spirit of God has showed them and the growth they've had

with other people. So give it for these guys.

Amen. And you guys have to.

Squeeze down and we're going to have them make room for our

ladies. So I'm going to invite them up

as well and saying we didn't get up as early because we met on

Saturday, but 6:30 every Saturday morning for a year.

These women committed to get up and to get the word of God going

in their week. So I'm going to invite up Tanya

Taylor, Holly Holcomb, Kayla Loveland, Kristen Baker, Jenny

Kuyat, Julie White, Rose Taylor, Alana Larned, Alyssa Hardy, And

Christy Hardy is sick. We also had a couple of ladies,

Theresa Laplante and Ashley Ward, who completed our journey

with us, but we're not at the point where they were being

commissioned out right now. So really also excited that we

got to share with them. So this is let's give it up for

our 2025 real life disciple makers.

Now what's really special about the way God makes disciples is

it's not an addition thing because now every one of these

disciple makers gets to go out and have groups of people that

they are pouring into through. We're going to lay this over our

life groups through small groups, disciple making just

like this. So if one of these people taps

you on the shoulder to say, hey, I would love you to come along

and walk alongside me. I think would all of you agree

that they should say yes when you're inviting them out.

Yes, it was well worth the time, the energy, the effort put in

and just really cool to see what God can do.

I would share with our 80s a lot.

It doesn't seem very, I don't know, it doesn't seem like God

can do a lot in a week, but if you look back over a year and

see what he can do, it's incredible.

I think we weigh underestimate what he can do in our lives in

that so. And it's the relationships, you

know, I mean, getting to know these guys, I know for the

ladies, like we're going to miss meeting together, like with kind

of selfishly, right? But we know the gospel has to go

out. And so these guys are going to

be meeting with you guys. And as we launch live groups,

you'll see live groups that are called The Way.

And it'll be like the way of prayer or the way of fasting,

The way, whatever. And they're going to help you

guys really grow spiritually to a different level and just help

you on that journey. And we're still going to meet

together, just won't be as often, obviously.

And we set a goal for 20 disciple makers.

We got 18. Amen.

That's pretty good. There's a lot of them up here

and God just is moving. And we set a goal as well.

We would. We don't have 100 people in

disciple make relationships. We knew that wouldn't happen

until January when all you all sign up.

Amen. So Jesus picks his disciples.

We told them, hey, go out and find people, help them grow.

Not everybody's doing something in this next season, but I do

believe God is going to just do revival in our church.

We have a young church, a lot of new believers, a lot of people

taking first steps of faith. And if we go deeper, this is a

group of people that we're trusting that God's gonna use to

do that. So we're gonna pray with them.

So I'm invite dying to pray, and I'll pray and we'll give it a

big SO. Yeah.

And I invite you in this moment, you aren't all up here to lay

your hands on them, but if you want to reach out a hand to kind

of as a church, we're sending these ones out to go do this

ministry, that would be awesome in this moment.

So let's pray God, we're just grateful for the way that your

word moves through people. You give us person to person the

way that we know you and the way that we grow deeper in you and

then you miraculously multiply that and send it out.

And so I just pray your favor and I pray your boldness and I

pray just the resilience and the faithfulness needed to enter

into disciple making relationships.

I pray that for each of these disciple makers that you would

give them the just the wisdom that they need to lean into

others. Give them the faithfulness to

your word God, give them a hunger and a thirst to know you

and to share the things that they have been poured into God

to pour out. I pray as we move into this next

season, God that we would see revival in our Church of

spiritual growth of people taking steps towards knowing you

and to really to have a life that can say I am.

I've spent time with Jesus. I look like him and I'm doing

the things in my life that Jesus would have me to do through

these practices. And so I pray for each person,

each family, each situation represented on this stage, God,

that you would speak into it. God you would give a boldness

and an empowerment to go forth and to smake disciples at real

life church God. Father, we asked where would

have us to go? God, we look out at our

community, our church family, friends, the world and we know

that we're not satisfied because there's people who need you and

there's truth that needs to people to be set free through

truth. And so I pray that these men and

women as they go out will be truth tellers.

They stand for truth that point back to scripture.

God, you give your spirit on them and direct them.

God of who to tap on the shoulder.

We're to bring the gospel not just our city, but around the

world. I pray for protection on them

that they have bold confidence. They would not be weary and

doing well that in the trenches and and the mess God, they

wouldn't lose sight that they're here to help people know you and

find you. And so we've got to pray

blessing on them. God, thank you for their

faithfulness, God for the walk with you, for all these little

steps of obedience that just add up into greater things, that

long arc of obedience over time. And so God, I, I just pray God

that Ezra sent out God that they would just reach new places,

that the ministry and the gospel would go further, farther and

faster through your method of commissioning.

And so God, we trust you, we pray blessing on today.

God, we give you glory for what you're going to do and pray in

Jesus name. And they said, Amen, Amen.

Awesome. You guys are great.

You guys can step off the stage. I'm going to make a little

change here. I was going to share with you,

there's a map. Can you guys get the map?

We said a goal. We said a word last year for

2025 was bold and it was really a personal word, but it kind of

hit everybody. And we use the Joshua 19 be

very, you know, be strong and courageous for a Lord.

And this year we said a word and it's a different type of word

and it's the word scattering. Everybody say scattering.

All right, so today you're actually at a gathering and we

staff our church for gatherings for Sundays.

OK, but it's become real obvious like we need to be really good

at scattering like gatherings. We come together.

It's called fellowship, Amen. And we love we love to gather.

There's food. We're E angelicals, Amen.

Come on somebody right. But to scatter out this word's

kind of crazy. It means to deploy to to

mobilize, to be sent, to go, to tell, like be really good at

scattering. And I love what we put up here,

mobilizing the gospel into our culture.

So go this next, this next slide.

So this is the heartbeat of the church, what it looks like to

take the gospel out. Now, if you don't recognize the

map, I'm sorry, this is Belden and Raymour, right?

But just our city, like where's the gospel need to go?

Not just in our city around the world, but look at this map.

Where, where does the gospel need to go?

It is a question that the early church was asking.

I was on many mission strips of slash.

I was on four different continents and different places.

And the question that constantly came around was where do we need

to take the gospel? And it wasn't like somebody had

to ask the question. It was just in the DNA of the

people that were there. If you look at New Testament

standards and New Testament Christianity, it's the question,

where does the gospel need to go?

So if you know Jesus, you look at this map, you're like, OK,

well, there's an Hispanic population that's pretty big

over here. There's a homeless population

over there and there's some multi housing ministry, there's

apartment life or part there's apartments that need life, Amen.

And you start looking through the map, you're like, is there a

gospel representation or gospel movement in these places?

It's one thing to say, hey, come to real life, but it's a whole

nother thing to say, let's take real life to them, let's take

Jesus to them, Amen. Now, I'm not asking all y'all to

sign up because I think the Spirit of God will bring the

right people along, but our goal this next year is to Commission

30 people that are going to say yes to scattering the gospel.

They say yes, I'm going to take the gospel to my community, to

my street. There's a next slide.

This is pretty cool. This is my neighborhood.

There's a method we're going to teach this next year called

Bless and just beginning prayer to listen to the needs of the

community to eat together just high relational to serve each

somebody and to help them understand just do you love them

and then the share of the gospel and we're going to teach through

this blessed method. This this is from the app.

This is my neighborhood. I have a Jesus fish over my

house. I think dying put there come on

somebody right and if you're in my neighborhood, you're like do

being targeted yes, you are for Jesus Amen and so some of my

neighbors around here. Obviously I think the mayor's

house. I know the mayor's house.

I got to reach the mayor for Ray Moore for Jesus this year.

Come on somebody right. I mean, it's just like, but it's

the intention of living this out, like what it looked like

for us to take the gospel out the other 160 hours a week,

right? Like it's not about just coming,

it's about going. And we know for our church to be

successful, to live past a generation, we have to be very,

very good at scattering and very intentional at it.

And it's going to be new to our church, but we're going to try

to embed that in our DNA and this next year into our church

that we would know what it's like to actually live on

mission, where we work, where we live, where we play, where we

study and actually have redemptive relationships.

So it's not just come and see, It's go and tell.

Amen. And so this is where the church

is going this next year. We set some other goals, but I

don't want to take up a lot of time.

I want to do is share, have you guys share a little bit.

I've got some people I've asked to just give like a minute or

two testimony of how real life's impact their life.

So I'm gonna jump down the floor and do that.

And we're gonna let you guys hang.

So once you guys have some time, question.

You take it to him, Yeah. Thank you, I had to take a few

notes so. Love you, Brett.

So real life has changed my life.

Even though I accepted Jesus in 1986 in the bathroom at Fort

Scott Inn, I, I never went to a church that really taught me.

And I always felt guilty because I kept doing things I shouldn't

be doing. And I always felt that I wasn't

good enough. I wasn't doing it until this

discipleship. And not too recently when I was

reading Ephesians chapter 2 and they broke down to me the three

Ephesians 2 · chapter mention

kind of steps for salvation. That's not the best word I have,

but that's what I'm going to tell you.

And the first one was justified. That is, through Christ, my

penalty of sin was forgiven. Then it's justification and

that's the progress of the Holy Spirit coming in and me living.

But I still have that sinful nature to where I'm having that

fight. Sometimes I lose, sometimes I

win, and then the last is when it finally comes, and that's

glorification. And that's when I would Christ

takes over and sins gone and I can't wait for that day anyway.

Don't ask my wife though. So anyway, so jump in because

you know, up until a year ago my foot would just go in.

And this year I've jumped in and I thank you all come.

On Give It Up for Brett, it's pretty fun watching Brett

because Brett Brett is has a doctorate in psychology.

Is that right? And it's fun watching him like

see what the scripture says. And he's like, man, they

psychology has stolen the stuff from the Bible.

And we're having great conversations.

But I told the guys are getting baptized kind of the same truth.

You you're you're saved from the power of sin, but you're still

going to have the presence of sin around you, but you're saved

from sin's power. Amen.

And that's a realization that Brett had even this even

recently. So it's amazing.

She's back here. Will you guys give it up for

Lisa Holmes? She's going to share a little

bit. We should.

Alrighty, I got to take my glasses off to read so well, I

wanted to say hello to everybody and I want to say today I want

to celebrate the life change that God has brought to me being

a new member here at Real life. As many of you know or some of

you know, I started coming to Real Life during the process of

divorce. And for a long time I carried

like a scarlet letter. And I'm sure you guys probably

felt it. I've carried that scarlet letter

and all of you were just so patient with me.

And I just wanted to say thank you for that because I know I

was bringing a little heaviness. And so I knew that my faith in

God would be my saving grace. And So what led me here was that

I went online searching for churches in the area.

And then I begin. And I believe that God wanted to

relocate me through that process.

Sorry for my shaking. I don't normally speak in front

of a large group. OK.

So I believe that God had a plan to replant me in this new

environment. Upon searching for the new

church during that process, I found real life.

Thank you, that would help. And I thought, wow, that's a

different name for a church. I really think that that real

life wow. However, that Sunday message

that I that I watch, it spoke about all the different

ministries and each team came on the stage and they shared their

heart and their love for searching for Christ in those

ministries. And what an awesome outreach

ministry. I thought I needed ministry, I

needed replenishing, I needed nourishing, I needed to be

filled and I needed to be refreshed.

So you can imagine I was in a 34 year divorce, I mean marriage.

So you can imagine what I was really needing when I came here.

A lot of you might not have known how long I've been

married, but I never expected to be divorced.

So anyway, I'm not making this about that, OK?

And that's what I received through the screen.

I received all of that from you guys when I watched your

service, OK. And not only was it from just

watching by the screen online, but also I met that in every

person up on each Sundays attendance here and during every

attendance and serving for the hot soup ministry.

That is such a wonderful ministry.

When I met Pastor Sean, he walked with me and he talked.

He took the time to listen to my story.

My grandchildren were welcomed with love and so many of the

ladies have been a constant source of encouragement and have

made themselves available to me and have connected with me.

Thank you. My knee became even greater once

I started attending. When I last, when I lost my my

only means of transportation. The church blessed me with the

car. The church blessed me with the

car. I was so in awe and I'm still in

awe of the generosity from Pastor Sean, his family in real

life church as a whole family. Thank you everyone.

Thank you, Pastor Sean, in that you did not hesitate in offering

such an enormous gift. It has been life changing.

Thank you for moving by the hope, by the Spirit of God.

You did not withhold an opportunity to do good towards

me even without, even without really knowing me because you

didn't really know me. But it has changed my life.

It's one of the greatest outward displays of faith that has

helped me to get to this point of the road, of this road that

I'm on. In the beginning, I'm

flourishing. These are the beginning,

flourishing stages because God is bringing deliverance.

This year of being here at real life has caused me to live by

deeper, by a deeper sense of faith because that's really what

I've been like riding on God has just taken me like on a road of

faith. Everything that I need, I've

just been praying for it and I've been waiting on God and

that's what he's been doing. So God has changed.

God has changed and renewed my life.

He has stripped and and delivered me from carrying that

scarlet letter D for divorce and has given me a new identity and

replaced it with D for deliverance and difference to

Maker. I have committed by faith that I

will help build His house first and then trust Him to build

minds for the for the nourishment I'm receiving.

It's giving me the ability to help nourish others.

The areas that I had once that had once contained and

restricted me in this new environment at real life, I am

begin. I am being replenished.

I am no longer withering because that's what I felt like.

I was just withering and I'm trying to correct my posture

because it was like God is like he pointed out, he said.

Watch how you're walking in, you're walking in swamped, like

you're carrying this weight and God is like you're no longer

withering. God has given me restored hope,

deeper faith, new and real life. And I would just want to say

thank you everyone. Thank you for living what the

Bible teaches love and blessings.

Amen. Thank you.

You never know where somebody's at in their story and what God

can do through a simple act of disgrace and and love.

We appreciate what your heart and what God's been doing

through you and your love for the church.

And she would rent a car early to come to church on Sunday if

she had to use the car like earlier in the week.

And I don't know about you, but I've never met anybody in my

entire life that rented a car to come to church.

And so it was obvious, like we had this resource that somebody

donated and it's like, hey, let's make sure it gets to Lisa.

And you've been beyond faithful. And I can't wait to what God's

going to continue to do through you.

She committed, she alluded to it.

She committed a difference maker.

I was floored when you walked up with a card.

It's just a situation like we want to give you the card,

right? But to have faith and say, I'm

going to build the house. It's that faith that God uses to

activate a space and to bring himself glory.

So thank you for doing that and thank you for sharing.

Pretty cool. This is Julian Torres.

Good for Julian. He's our youth group and God

just moving his life. So just share just a little bit

what God's doing. Well, so like.

Three or four years. Ago I started coming here and I

wasn't really talkative and I had like hair over my face and

you couldn't really see me or anything and I was just like in

a dark place then and then Sean invited me and my brother to

youth and we started going and I just went there for the fun of

it and then like later on I started being like, oh wow, this

is actually something that I want to do in my life.

So then I started being more involved and then I met some

more people and I, I've just been growing my faith since then

and like, and now I'm like, if you come up to me, I'm going to

smile and talk with you. Like I can talk for like hours.

If you want. But yeah, this is just real life

has been such a big part in my life and meeting everybody and I

love people, so it's like really fun.

So that's awesome, dude. Yeah, give it up If if you

didn't know this young man mission trip last year hassle

his heart to to be in ministry to preach to lead given towards

difference maker as a young adult and he's also meeting with

Logan weekly to do disciple making so pretty cool for a

young man Amen. So give him more time.

You're over here. So Scott Dremaine, he's heading

over here. So give it up for Scott.

So forgive me. I'm blessed to be here today

with my bride and my 3 kids and our new daughter-in-law from

last summer. And I tell you that because we

have been blessed by this church.

We've actually been with Sean for many years, but since the

founding of this church. So it is really a special place

for us. But so I'm going to talk to

them. You guys can listen in.

So it doesn't sound like I'm preaching to you.

I'm just teaching to them. You are going to be a different

person for people who want to set goals for this upcoming year

for three reasons. Because the people, because the

books you read and because the experiences you have enough to

walk through there, because the people, that guy right there and

this young lady right here stepped out on faith eight years

ago. And in eight more years, people

are going to look back and say, man, I wish I could run that

church. And it's not going to be because

of them. It's because of their faith.

And they really are setting this the tempo for how fast this

church moves with your help and with our help.

And I can tell you that being a part of the waymaker has changed

me. There's a great men in there.

I can tell you. We've done life groups.

I can tell you that Lisa brought up get here every Sunday.

And not, not just when it's convenient, because it will

never be convenient. The people you'll be involved

with. That's number one.

Number two, the books you read, I read about.

I read a lot of books, OK. But I can tell you that every

book can be deduced back to the Bible.

The Bible has every answer you could ever ask and more

importantly, if you will memorize that it will come out

of you when you face anything in life.

And the last thing I'll leave you with is the experiences you

have. It's a little bit tough, but

this young man over here, our oldest was in Spain living his

best life. Newly married professional

basketball player playing in Spain, leading scorer in the

league, everything going for him.

He had set up to where they were going to start meeting with

people kind of like at a mission, like not because that's

their job, because that's their mission.

And in a moment, his ACL was blown.

And so now he's back home. And so in that I say that's an

experience that he dealt with. But here's the thing, If you

will found yourself in the Bible and around people that will love

on you, that's what we had. That's what they have and they

are getting lifted up. OK.

That experience didn't take him down.

It allowed people to come around them to build them up and love

on them. So the people, the books and the

experiences. And I've been very, very blessed

by this church because we are one body trying to move forward

for his gospel. So with that unification, give

me one clap, give me two claps. See ya.

Scott and your family has been such a blessing to our church.

It's about memorizing the Scripture.

We're actually up here baptizing.

And Scott very usually helps. God jumps in and he's quoting

I mean, just, boom, just run through.

I mean, just on his heart. So.

And Jordan and Marissa have jumped in with youth as his knee

recovers. He's had surgery.

Marissa's jumping on the worship team.

You get love on her when she's up here.

But it's cool to see a family say, hey, let's get plugged in

where we're at just as we go. When we were in Spain.

Now we're back in the States, like we're going back in Spain

by God's grace. It's just cool to see what God's

doing. Where's Hannah at?

Over there, hiding. There we go.

All right, so she's not nervous at all.

So it's perfect. Whoop.

All right, give it up for Hannah.

Come on, calm the nerves. I, I usually don't sound like

this, so forgive me. Yeah, we started attending real

life about May somewhere. My husband's here.

Oh, there he is. We were just looking for a home

church is something that we really wanted and wanted for our

son as well. And we saw the signs and so we

started attending and then one day I pulled into the parking

lot and I just ask God if this is the place you wanted us to

grow in her faith, then just let one person introduce themselves

to us. And I walked through the door

and 12 of you introduced yourselves to me.

But you didn't just say hi. You made a point to have a

conversation with me and get to know me.

And not just me, but my son as well, my husband.

And from there we just started connecting.

And that led me to jumping into a life group and then let me

into jumping into a couples life group and getting baptized and

rededicating my life and youth group and greeting.

And it just kept going and kept going.

And I love it. And that's just because your

ministry doesn't just stop beyond these four walls and it

goes beyond that. It's connecting with me and

calling me and coming over and connecting with my husband.

And it's just such a blessing because every time you pour into

me and my family, we just want to pour back into this church.

And it's just been a blessing to just see the transformation into

our family, just how God keeps moving into our life.

So we, from the bottom of my heart, you just say thank you so

much. And it's just.

Just a blessing. And I can't wait to see what God

does the next year. Amen.

Good job. Her story's incredible.

She actually pulled into the I don't know what day it was, but

just a day she pulled into the parking lot to the school where

she knows what we meet at and she prayed, Lord, if this is the

place just one person connect with me when I come on Sunday.

It's amazing to think that like you that serve on the team or

give back or come here are like an answer to prayer just by just

introducing yourself and making somebody feel at home.

And so it's incredible, 12 people, it's amazing to me.

You even know the number, you know what I mean?

Like to think like no one wasn't wanted to five, it was 12

people. And that's the kind of church we

need to be, Amen. Just be a very welcoming church,

a loving church. And from that, like she

mentioned, she's serving with her teenagers now, she's

greeting and her family's been just helping out so much.

Me and Wes put together half of Christmas, it felt like, but

it's just amazing. So give it up man, for what

God's doing. And thank you guys for the cool

church generosity and loving all people.

I think you're up. They're like looking at each

other. This is good.

So I'm Chris. This is my wife, Alicia.

We started here back in September.

And honestly what led us here, well I'll, I'll tell you that

raising 5 kids together was hard.

But the hardest part of it was watching them all go into

adulthood and making all their own life decisions.

And some of them we were OK with and some of them we were not.

And we really started just seeking God to protect them in

their lives as adults and wanting to kind of re acclimate

our lives closer to God. And also for our grandkids, we

now have two grandkids that are with US1 on the way, due in

July. We decided that we would try to

get back into churches about two years ago, and we've been to a

few of them. None of them really kind of gave

us the feeling that we belonged, honestly.

So, you know, we were in and out one Saturday night.

I said OK God here's what I'm gonna do, I'm going to just ask

my Google phone where should I go to church tomorrow morning.

So I did and the 1st place that popped up was real life.

I said, well, it is gonna be any worse than any other ones we

went to, so let's give it a try. And and actually, you know, in

my mind, I was like, hey, I remember seeing the banners by

the road right as we're driving by.

We like to cut through this way instead of hitting busy 58 when

we go to Walmart or Sam's Club. So it's like, well, we'll give

it a shot. So we came and it was actually

the celebration for the church that you guys had started during

that time. And we got to learn in that very

first service what this church has been all about.

So that was an interesting first visit.

Got got a good idea if you know what the church was and where

you guys were going. Brett, our neighbor down the

road, it was surprising to see him here.

I was like, hey, I know this guy already.

And he was at the door to, to greet us as we came in.

And, you know, really you guys just made us feel feel warm and

welcome. We got involved into the

hospitality group because we felt like that was the best way

to really kind of get to know other people.

And so far we're loving it. So we appreciate the, the warm

and welcoming hospitality that you guys have shown us and our

our family. We got our, our grandson, not

this one, but our other one dedicated back in the dedication

service. So that was beautiful to see as

well. So just appreciate everything

you guys have done for us so far.

It's cool how God just brings people and we get to help people

belong here. And that's the really the really

the the mission is to love on people.

So last but not least, I don't know where where's Rose Taylor

at out of she's back there. OK, so Rose, you're it.

And then Holly's up for where she's at.

Yeah, so 2025's been a really transformative year.

I'm Diane had come up to me when it was like 2024.

And it was like, hey, we're gonna launch this discipleship

group, do you want to do it? And I was very pregnant with him

at the time, so I was like. Well.

I'm about to have a baby, but we'll see what we can do.

And I may have missed a few Saturdays, but we made it work.

But back in like 2024, like honestly, I'd kind of just kind

of gotten lazy with my walk. I really wasn't praying or

reading my Bible, just kind of just showing up and doing my

thing. And so 2025 has been good going

through the the way it's just been such a blessing just to not

just gain like head knowledge, which you kind of like mentioned

when you were up there talking about it, because I've been

through some discipleship stuff before.

And it's all just like pray and read your Bible, which it's

like, yes, that's good and that's part of it.

But there's so much more that you can do to model your life

like Jesus, to have that like transformative, that

transformation that you can get only through like the Holy

Spirit in God. And so I am excited to start

2026 in leading a group and just seeing, going through it again

and seeing like, what's God gonna show me?

This season versus like last season.

And I'm also excited just to lead a group of women to like

facilitate that transformation and help them mature in their

walk and then help them go and make new disciples.

Hey, we're going to do. First of all, I know there's a

lot of new guests and I'll say thank you for your patience and

hanging out and just loving all the people around you.

You know, you guys are welcome to hang.

Holly's going to kind of leave us out for a few things, but can

you give it up for everybody that's new one more time?

And those who shared, let them know you love them.

All right, couple quick things before we hang out and eat some

more of this amazing food coming up this week.

If you have a teen or know a teen man, we have a fun and safe

option for New Year's Eve. Real life youth is going to have

just a blast on Wednesday night. They're headed over to main

event. They're going to do all the

things laser tag and bowling and the arcade and pizza and they're

going to come right back to the Hope Center, have some worship

and a gospel message. They're going to watch the ball

drop together. It truly is going to be just a

fun time. So if you have a teen in your

house, know it's teen man scan that QR, you can get all the

details and register them. But we would love to see your

teen there. I mean, we are just so excited

as 2025 comes to a close and we reflect on all that God did in

2025. I mean, we are still expecting

and believing God for big things in 2026.

And so I would just maybe this this time of year is the year's

coming to a close, just maybe to consider a year end gift.

We truly are funded 100% by your donations and every, every gift

you gave give here really makes a difference.

Every story that was shared today is touched by your

generosity. And so I want to say thank you
