What's going on, people?
-
Hey, this is evangelist Toby Doubted.
-
Now I will tell you right now that sounds a little weird saying that.
-
Uh because I've never said that before up until this point.
-
And uh understanding my dreams a little bit more, now I understand that the Holy Spirit had been calling me to the land of evangelism.
-
Uh, and being able to not just evangelize, but being able to teach people the word of God, and that's exactly what we're going to do today.
-
Uh, now the whole topic today that we're eventually going to get to is talking about why it is why it is so important that you have to be careful of the things and the items that you are buying or you are receiving into your home.
-
Because they could, in fact, hold demonic activity and influence on them, and you won't even know it.
-
Now, uh, if you don't mind, I'm giving a little backstory through recent experience.
-
I've been dreaming all my life, but I've never taken the time to truly understand a lot of what my dreams were saying and how God was speaking to me in those dreams.
-
Even when we are walking in our disobedience, ladies and ladies and gentlemen, God still speaks to us.
-
He doesn't give up on us.
-
He waits just like Moses acknowledged the burning bush that was not consumed by the fire.
-
He waits on us to acknowledge him, and now he says, Now I can speak.
-
Now your ears are tuned in.
-
A lot of times that comes from personal experiences of things that you have gone through that didn't work out in your life, that now has made your ears sensitive to listening to the words of the Holy Spirit.
-
Okay, and so with that being said, I want to talk about some things today.
-
Eventually, uh, our main chapter that we want to get to is the book of Joshua, chapter 7.
Joshua 7 chapter mention
-
One of the things that I learned about the book of Joshua as I went through there and studied it, it gives us a spiritual look on what was happening behind the scenes based on what was happening physically while reading the chapters in Joshua and the battles that they had to go through in order to possess the land.
-
Okay.
-
Now, many of us who ask God to show us the spirit realm and what's going on in there, we don't realize that God has been showing us what's been happening behind the scenes the whole time.
-
Even leading to from Moses, when Moses helped to deliver the children out of Israel.
-
We now get a spiritual sense of that, that Satan is the Pharaoh of today's time.
-
Okay, Satan is the one with a hardened heart, who does not want to allow us out of the spirit of slavery that the apostle Paul addresses in the book of Romans.
-
Okay, and so now we get to this physical situation that Joshua, who took over as the successor of Moses, who now is by the guidance of God going and conquering the kings of the land.
-
The Bible says that they conquered 31 kings.
-
I want y'all to let that sink in for a minute.
-
Now, the kings that we are conquering is spiritual for us, but the kings they were physically conquering was physical.
-
But the book of Joshua helps us to understand what spiritual warfare really is.
-
And I want to just tell you a hint right now.
-
It is not just uh labeled to an individual, it is a corporate thing.
-
So, whatever you're going through, others are also going through spiritual warfare along with you.
-
And here's the reason why spiritual warfare is territorial.
-
Okay, and we're going to look at that in a minute because we're going to go to some places in the apostle Paul first before we get to the Old Testament, which leads me to a biblical secret.
-
It is very important to get into these epistles of the Apostle Paul because he is going to help you stay out of the land of deception.
-
Okay, the apostle Paul was given to us by the ascended Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Uh, he was called to go to the Gentiles.
-
Now, if you don't know what a Gentile is, it is someone who is not a Jew.
-
Now, this is not this did not totally exempt the Jews from being saved, because we will see that there are some that the apostle Paul was able to bring into the body of Christ.
-
But it is not something that is typically normal today because of the spiritual blindness that God has put on them for their disobedience.
-
So he would definitely have to take the veil off, just like he takes the veil off an unbeliever, for them to be able to see that Jesus was in fact who he said he was, and that he is the one we are to confess and believe on for the death, burial, and resurrection that he went through in order to bring us to this place where it is neither Jew nor Gentile.
-
Okay.
-
But in most cases, Gentiles was whom the Apostle Paul was assigned to go to.
-
Alright?
-
And so that's why I wanted to stress that.
-
But what we're gonna go into some of these epistles because I want to lay the foundation with the master builder, the apostle Paul, first, before we get to the Old Testament, and lay out a few things.
-
I want to start in Ephesians chapter 5, verses 6 through 12.
-
And uh I am reading from an Amplified Bible, that is my Bible of choice.
-
Now I know others have their Bible of choice, uh, the national, uh, the NIV version, uh, King James Version.
-
There are so many versions out there, New Living Translations, all those different versions.
-
But I would heavily suggest if you want to rock with me, uh, go to Bible Gateway if you don't have a physical amplified Bible in your possession.
-
They have a free amplified Bible, the AMP edition, not the AMP C, because that's currently the version that I have is the AMP.
-
I'm reading from.
-
Uh, I think they do a pretty good job at already helping you with the Hebrew Aramic text in the Old Testament versus the Greek in the New Testament.
-
They already fill in the words for you to help you be able to get more clarity on what's being said.
-
Now, make more no mistake about it.
-
You still have to have the Holy Spirit in order to put these Bible scriptures together.
-
Because sometimes they won't all be the answers in one place, and so this is why it's so important to study to show thyself approved.
-
A lot of people make the mistake of they go with one angle of the word, but they don't realize that there's another side, a 3D version, that actually further explains in some of the places that you are reading and studying.
-
So it's very important to be able to go through and study this Bible in order to understand those things.
-
Now, let's go to Ephesians chapter 5, verse 6 through 12.
-
And I want to read it, and it says this Let no one deceive you with empty arguments that encourage you to sin.
-
For because of these things, the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience, those who habitually sin.
-
Now we're going to see the apostle explain this about where Gentiles of that time were once involved in and now have been delivered from.
-
And that also goes for us today.
-
All right.
-
Verse 7.
-
So do not watch this participate or even associate with them in the rebelliousness of sin.
-
Now, the apostle Paul continued to admonish us to disconnect ourselves from those claiming that they were believers in Christ.
-
Okay, because even though that the Bible tells us they gave us an outward appearance of godliness, their insides was wrecked, their inner man was wrecked.
-
Their fruits did not line up with what they were saying and who they were saying that represented.
-
And the apostle Paul is telling the churches in Ephesus this very thing right now.
-
Verse 8, for once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.
-
Walk as children of light, live as those who are native born to the light.
-
The moment you get saved, ladies and gentlemen, you are now representing as children of the light.
-
We don't wait to get to heaven to walk right.
-
We are to show as examples of that, and we're going to see as we continue to get through these scriptures in this particular chapter right now.
-
God told Abraham that be careful to walk with integrity while in my presence.
-
And this is what the apostle Paul is insinuating and pointing to right now.
-
Okay, we are to walk holy right now.
-
And we walk holy because our holiness is not our holiness, it is Christ's holiness.
-
Our righteousness is not our righteousness, it is the righteousness of Christ.
-
So we are being stewards over his holiness and his righteousness, his faith, his justification, his no condemnation.
-
So let's keep going.
-
Alright, now it says verse 9 for the fruit, the effect, the result of the light consists in what?
-
All goodness and righteousness and in truth.
-
So we are to be walking in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
-
How do we do that?
-
Through the Holy Spirit, who helps us to walk right.
-
Alright, now, verse 10.
-
Watch this, trying to learn by experience what is pleasing to the Lord, meaning there's going to be bumps in the road.
-
This is why God gives us grace.
-
A man falls seven times and he gets back up again.
-
That's what the grace is.
-
Until that time comes when we're no longer falling and we're walking upright.
-
The stumbling blocks have been removed, the obstacles have been removed, and we are walking, seen perfectly the light shine under our feet.
-
Alright, now.
-
So, first thing again, trying to learn by experience what is pleasing to the Lord and letting your lifestyles, look at this, be examples of what is most acceptable to Him.
-
Walking as children of the light.
-
Your behavior, look at this, expressing gratitude to God for your salvation.
-
So we are to walk in a way that is showing our thanksgiving for receiving the free gift of salvation from the Father through his Son, Jesus Christ.
-
Do not, look at this, reiterating what he said, not being part of those who walk willingly, rebelliously in sin.
-
Do not participate in the worthless and unproductive deeds of darkness.
-
Look at this, but instead expose them by exemplifying a personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character.
-
Not only are we our display to display publicly, okay, who we are, it is even more important in our private lives when nobody's watching us and God is still watching us, that we exemplify integrity, moral courage, and godly character.
-
Verse 12, for it is disgraceful even to mention the things that such people practice in secret.
-
Alright?
-
People who don't practice godly character, good morals, they don't practice these things.
-
Personal integrity.
-
And this is why we're gonna get to talking about why you have to be careful what you're buying or the gift that you are receiving and taking to your own home because they can hold much demonic activity that, if you're not aware, can be causing all kinds of disorder in your house.
-
Alright, now with that being said, let's go to Ephesians chapter 2.
Ephesians 2 chapter mention
-
Verses 1 and 2.
-
And the apostle Paul is going to mention this again.
-
A few chapters up before getting to Ephesians chapter 5.
Ephesians 5 chapter mention
-
Watch what he says here.
-
Verse 1, and you he made alive when you were what?
-
Spiritually dead.
-
Ladies and gentlemen, when Adam sinned in the garden, he killed our spirit man.
-
Your spirit man is the first one of the three of your soul and body that has to receive resurrection through the Holy Spirit.
-
Jesus made that possible once we got saved, that now we're no longer spiritually dead, but we were made alive at the moment of salvation when we believed and we confessed with our mouths that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day, according to scripture.
-
1 Corinthians 15, 1 through 4.
-
Our spirit man came back alive for us.
-
It's the spirit man who connects with the Holy Spirit, who helps the Holy Spirit through the word take submission over the soul, which leaves the body where the Holy Spirit and the Spirit Man want the body to be led to, and no longer under the guidance of the soul that Satan influences to be led into disorder and sin.
-
Okay?
-
Now, let's keep going.
-
I'm gonna read that verb, I'm gonna read them verses again.
-
And you he made alive when you were spiritually dead and separated from him because of your transgressions and sins.
-
Now, this is the reason why he used transgression.
-
It's a very strong word.
-
It is a willingness to sin against God.
-
You're not forced to, you compromise.
-
And this is exactly what Adam did.
-
Adam knew the truth, he knew the instructions, but the Bible tells us he willingly disobeyed God for his own desires.
-
Okay?
-
Verse 2, in which you once walked, you were following the ways of this world, influenced, look at this, by this present age in accordance with the prince of the air who Satan.
-
The spirit who is now at work in the disobedient, the unbelieving, who fight against the purposes of God.
-
The moment we came into this world, ladies and gentlemen, by default, Satan became our father.
-
The father of lies that God talks about.
-
It wasn't because we chose him, it was because the fall of Adam that made us by default be put into the kingdom of darkness.
-
The Bible tells us that God has through salvation translated us out of the kingdom of darkness and placed us in heavenly places with Jesus Christ, who is currently seated at the right hand of the Father.
-
With that being said, let's go to Ephesians.
-
Now, watch what it says here.
-
A couple of verses down from the first two verses verses in Ephesians chapter 2.
Ephesians 2 chapter mention
-
Watch what it says.
-
It says, and he who Christ raised us up together with him.
-
The moment we believed on Christ, our spirit man was raised up together.
-
And watch where our position now is.
-
When we believed and seated us with him in where?
-
Heavenly places.
-
Because we are in Christ Jesus.
-
Ladies and gentlemen, this is our heavenly position tonight.
-
Even though we can't feel it like we feel physical seats, by faith we receive it.
-
That we're seated next to Christ above all things, above all spiritual principalities and forces, above all kingdoms of darkness, just like Jesus is tonight.
-
And we have to walk and believe in that because it is what's going to allow us to have victory over the spiritual warfare that comes into our lives.
-
Now, that being said, let's go to Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10 through 12.
-
And many of us know this chapter to be the chapter of spiritual warfare.
-
But I want you to notice something specifically that is said in here.
-
Like I said, I'm reading from an amplified Bible, and uh I think it does an amazing job in helping us get some clarity on these things.
-
So Ephesians chapter 6, verse 10 through 12.
-
Watch what it says.
-
In conclusion, be strong in the Lord, draw your strength from him, and be empowered through your union with him and in the power of his boundless might.
-
Now, what does Isaiah, I believe, tell us?
-
That we are to wait on the Lord, and those who wait upon the Lord shall what?
-
Renew their strength.
-
And this is what the apostle Paul is telling us here that we are to rest in the strength and draw from the strength of the Lord.
-
Verse 11, watch this.
-
Put on the full armor of God, for his precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily armed soldier.
-
The precepts of God, which is the word of God, we are to be in that word every day.
-
This is how we keep on the full armor of God.
-
The moment we take that armor off is the moment we make ourselves susceptible to what we're about to see right here.
-
So that you may be able to successfully look at this, stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
-
The Bible says that he is a master schemer and strategist.
-
And it started the moment he was able to cause Adam to fall in the garden by deceiving Eve.
-
I want y'all to take this down, being schemed and strategized against.
-
Alright?
-
Now, this goes back to why we ought to put on the full armor of God.
-
What does that represent?
-
That we are spiritually soldiers of the Lord.
-
And you can't be a soldier of the Lord if you're not fully equipped to go out for war.
-
You can't be a soldier of the Lord if you do not know the schemes and strategies of the one who is coming up against you.
-
Because you have no way to combat him.
-
You don't know what weapons to use if you don't know what he's trying to do.
-
This is why dreaming is so important.
-
You'll hear me mention that periodically through here as we're teaching this about spiritual warfare and being careful about the things that you bring into your home because they all lead up to spiritual warfare in your life.
-
Okay, let's keep going.
-
So we gotta be uh protected against the schemes and this and the strategies of the devil because what did the Bible tell us in Ephesians earlier in chapter 5?
-
He that he is uh, as a matter of fact, chapter 2, that he is the holds the power of the prince of the air.
-
He has the ability to influence many things spiritually against us.
-
Okay, now verse 12, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, contending only with physical, look at this, opponents, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly supernatural places.
-
Now, when you get to the book of Daniel, you see a little bit more about what all this is about with spiritual warfare, and it is territorial, ladies and gentlemen.
-
Wherever you have the most financial wealth and resources at, you best believe that Satan is going to have a stake in the game.
-
He's going to have his demonic friends right there holding demonic influences.
-
That once now you have drawn the line and you're no longer in the kingdom of darkness, he's going to cause and stir up people to come against you.
-
Okay?
-
This is what spiritual warfare is.
-
Just like we saw how Joshua and the camp of Israel had to battle against these physical forces and these kings that they were able to take down by the power of God's hand.
-
It's the same thing that we experience from a spiritual standpoint.
-
Because the Prince of the Power of Air, who once influenced us, and who was still influencing us while we were in our wilderness season.
-
This is why we're allowed to go through that wilderness season.
-
So that God, through his word, can break those strongholds that Satan has over our lives, so that we can receive the full transformation.
-
So this is the reason why we have to put on the full armor of God.
-
And this is the reason why He He told the Gentiles that you once walked in that place of darkness, but now you are children of the light.
-
So walk as children of the light.
-
Now, with that being said, I'm going to share a little backstory if you don't mind.
-
So, as I was praying not too long ago, the Holy Spirit made it known about a lot of the gifts that He has given me.
-
And one of them I was kind of like, I don't know if I want this one.
-
The discerning of spirits.
-
Now, I first encountered this back in 2024.
-
I did not know that I had these gifts.
-
But I was experiencing it whether I wanted to or not.
-
Even without the knowledge of having it.
-
Okay.
-
It wasn't until not too long ago in 2025 where I started, okay, seeing some things in my dreams and all kinds of stuff that was telling me some stuff.
-
And then I got the confirmation this year.
-
And now I embrace it.
-
Although recently I prayed, I didn't know if I wanted it because it was spooky at first.
-
But now understanding it, it is a great gift to have when you're able to discern spirits, the presence of evil spirits, the presence of God.
-
There's times where my spiritual senses of smell, I can smell stenches that remind me of people's houses I was in when I was a kid.
-
Now you're not thinking about any of that stuff at a time.
-
But then as you get older, you're able to understand because you know that you have the gift of discerning spirits what a lot of those smells represent.
-
As well as I can be somewhere or even in my prayer time, and I can smell sweet smelling aromas, which is letting me know that the presence of God is in my, I'm in the midst of it.
-
And so now being able to understand that and understanding my dreams a little bit more, I'm able to navigate through a little bit better and with more spiritual strength than what I once was.
-
And so I just wanted to share that because I've had some situations where God has shown me certain stuff I've had to get rid of.
-
And recently I got a situation of something that I need to get rid of right now that he has shown me.
-
Now, although he used symbolics, it bubbled up in my spirit.
-
The Holy Spirit helped me to understand what that is that has to go out of my home.
-
And this is what we're eventually leading up to.
-
But the reason why I wanted to go to the apostle Paul is to show you how the Apostle Paul made it important that we're not only to have dealings with those who claim to be followers of the Lord, but their fruits don't bear it, that we are not to deal with any form of darkness.
-
And that's why you have to be careful with certain companies that you invest in and you buy from, and you have to be in you have to be careful with certain people that you receive gifts from because they could be doing stuff behind the scenes demonically, that when you receive that stuff in your home, that it allows them to have a demonic camera in your household and cause all kinds of disruptions.
-
But the closer you get to God, he will show you, especially through your dreams, what is causing the issues that is keeping him from fully connecting with you.
-
And we're gonna see that when we get to the book of Joshua.
-
Okay, something that some of the tribes did in disobedience that was causing all kinds of disruption for uh Joshua, who did not realize at first what was happening until God told him when he came to him, hey, why are you laying face down to me?
-
There's some bad stuff that some people of your tribe did that is causing y'all not to win these battles.
-
Alright, so let's now let's let's get to it some more.
-
So now we look at why you put on the whole armor because you are guarding against the schemes and the uh strategies of the devil.
-
And as you get closer to God, God is going to let you know what the strategies have been all along that the devil has been using against you to keep you falling.
-
I just love the Lord, man.
-
What he does for us the more we build and establish a relationship, he brings us above so that we can see down on it on the checkerboard.
-
You ever know when you're not playing checkers, you can see all the moves, and then all of a sudden you get in there.
-
All the moves that you saw, and you can tell somebody else to make.
-
Unless you're really good at it, you won't see those same moves when you actually get on the on the chessboard checkerboard and play.
-
But see, this is what Jesus does for us.
-
This is why we're seated in heavenly places above these principalities, just like him, so that we can see on the checkerboard what is happening.
-
Alright?
-
So when you get to that place of spiritual warfare, which we eventually are going to get to, I want to go to one more place before we get to it.
-
I want to go to Proverbs chapter 5, verse 2, before we get to the book of Joshua.
-
Spiritual warfare is territorial, and and like I said, anything anywhere where there's heavy financial wealth and resources, Satan and his demons are there.
-
This is the reason why they love to uh establish these megachurches, because a lot of these pastors are only out for the financial gain.
-
And who you think is there controlling all of that?
-
The influence of it, Satan himself.
-
This is why the apostle Paul tells us it's no wonder that Satan can appear as an angel of light and his demonic friends as ministers of righteousness, because they're only there for one reason, because of the lucrative form that they are receiving and the power that comes with it.
-
That's all Satan is concerned about.
-
So anytime if you are in a job that is not a full-fledged Christian job, where they promote Christian more Christian values, you're going to be dealing with demonic activity and influence.
-
Because that company is making a lot of money.
-
And a lot of people that run it, they are demonically influenced, they're not saved by Satan, which you and I once were.
-
If you're going into any type of territory that is making a lot of money, you best believe that the demonic forces and influences are not far from it.
-
If you move into a new neighborhood, although you are in a new home, and that neighborhood is a new neighborhood, you best believe that there is demonic opposition there.
-
And that's the reason why you experience spiritual warfare, is because your feet are touching on territories that demonic holes are at.
-
That's why you go through it.
-
And see, the only way that you can divinely overcome it is through the divine nature of God.
-
But if you don't know the strategies that are being developed and have always been developed against you, you won't be able to properly pray and point your attack to the specific area that needs to be taken care of.
-
That's why God blesses you with people who can see and hear from him so that they can let you know even what you don't see to help you pinpoint the strategy against what Satan has plotted against you.
-
Now, I you know, I was I was going over there to Proverbs 5 and 2, but I I feel like I need to go to 2 Corinthians.
-
I need to go to 2 Corinthians chapter 10 and look at verses 3 through 6.
2 Corinthians 10 chapter mention
-
I just feel like we need to go there first because I want to show you.
-
I want to show you again the continuation of Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10 through 12 about the spiritual warfare.
-
Watch what the apostle Paul says here to the churches in Corinth about spiritual warfare.
-
And I I need to get you to get the image of what Joshua and them had to fight through.
-
They went and tore down physical fortresses.
-
See?
-
But today we fight against spiritual fortresses that are built up by Satan to keep us out of a certain area.
-
And guess where?
-
The mind.
-
Romans chapter 12 tells us to be not conformed by the ways of this world, but be renewed by the what?
Romans 12 chapter mention
-
Be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
-
Because the mind today, ladies and gentlemen, is the territories that we have to conquer.
-
Satan knows this.
-
And so what happens is the things that we go through, he's able to build fortresses up to keep us out of certain areas in our minds that can be the answer to the prayers that we've been praying.
-
Alright, so now let's go.
-
2 Corinthians chapter 10, verses 3 through 6.
-
Watch what it says here.
-
Watch this.
-
The weapons of our warfare are not physical, like they were with Joshua and them.
-
Okay?
-
Of flesh and blood.
-
Watch this.
-
Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of what does it say there?
-
Fortresses.
-
When you look at the you look at Joshua and Israel, what did they lie?
-
What did they mostly tear down?
-
Fortresses.
-
These kingdom walls.
-
The Bible says that a lot of these kingdoms were kings were looking over these walls when they saw Joshua them coming.
-
They thought them walls were going to save them.
-
These fortresses were going to save them.
-
But because of the divine right hand of God, it wouldn't protect them.
-
And they came falling down.
-
And that's the reason why today, those fortresses that Satan had built in your mind, the more you get closer to God and stay into his word and get that understanding from the Holy Spirit, you've got the ability to tear them fortresses down.
-
Now it frees you that territory that you needed to conquer in order to have spiritual success so that this word can work.
-
Alright, so now he says, watch what it does.
-
Watch what these spiritual divine weapons do.
-
They tear down fortresses.
-
We are destroying, look at this, sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God.
-
And we are taking every thought, look at this, at purp and purpose captive to the abundance of Christ, being ready to punish every act of disobedience when your own obedience as a church is complete.
-
Ladies and gentlemen, this is what spiritual warfare really is.
-
It's a corporate thing.
-
If you notice that when you're looking at the Amplified Bible, he puts church in there.
-
He's not talking about a church building.
-
Church was another word that the Apostle Paul used in the place of body of Christ.
-
Christ's church.
-
Now, now let's get on over here to Proverbs chapter 5, verses 1 through 2 as we finish up getting to our destination.
-
Why it's so important not to be bringing stuff in your home that can hold demonic opposition against you.
-
Alright, now Proverbs 5, 1 and 2, Amplified Bible says here, my son, be attentive to my wisdom, godly wisdom, learned by costly experience.
-
Now, why does he say costly experience?
-
Because there are a lot of decisions that you have made in your life which has led you to the place of seeking wisdom from God.
-
And it has cost you consequently some things.
-
We all can relate to that.
-
Before we finally learned, and now our ears and eyes are tuned in to the burning bush.
-
Alright, now, watch this verse 2.
-
That you may watch this exercise discrimination and discretion, which is good judgment, and your lips may reserve knowledge and answer wisely to temptation.
-
Now, what did Jesus do when he was tempted by Satan?
-
Matthew chapter 4.
Matthew 4 chapter mention
-
He used the word of God.
-
And this is telling you that you have to get the word of God in order to rebuke and deal with Satan and his demonic friends.
-
You can't do it no other way.
-
Alright?
-
Now, a lot of that is done in your prayer room because that prayer is essential.
-
If you don't have a consistent prayer life, you're not going to win in warfare.
-
If you don't have the answers to the test on how to tear down these fortresses, which a lot of times God has sent to you in your dreams and you don't understand them, you're not going to win in spiritual warfare.
-
Alright?
-
If you don't have dreams to help you, God is speaking to you to tell you what's in your house you need to get rid of, you're not going to win.
-
Spiritual warfare.
-
Alright?
-
Now, discrimination is a tough word for many.
-
I know.
-
Because what a lot of that word is connected to.
-
But this is how important and strongly God is letting us know that discrimination is very important.
-
It's not that you're being evil, but you got to be wise.
-
Where your feet are stepping at, that's what this discretion is.
-
Managing your paths so that you're not getting off on the wrong path and not falling for the obstacles that may have been set in that path to try to stop you.
-
That's what discretion is.
-
And discrimination is certain things you got to discriminate against that you don't favor over others.
-
And God's word allows us to have that discrimination.
-
Paul says, All things I can do.
-
But all things are not necessary for me to do.
-
And I will not be a slave to any.
-
Alright, now let's keep going.
-
I wanted to go here before we got to Joshua to let you see how important it is that you got to be careful with what you are inviting in.
-
Because you open doors to demonic forces that unnecessarily you don't need to do.
-
This is why I went over here to Ephesians chapter 5 when the apostle Paul tells us we ought to have no dealings with darkness.
Ephesians 5 chapter mention
-
Because we've been delivered from that.
-
Those who are rebelliously walking in sin.
-
Darkness that is being practiced in secret.
-
But we are children of the light, so therefore we should walk as children of the light.
-
Our walking righteously shows our gratitude and thanksgiving toward the salvation, the free gift that God gave us through his son Jesus Christ.
-
Now, let's go to the book of Joshua.
-
Go to the book of Joshua.
-
I want to go to Joshua chapter 7.
Joshua 7 chapter mention
-
I bet many of you didn't even know that AI was in here.
-
I was one of them.
-
Getting through the study in the scripture, Holy Spirit opens up things, and it just be blowing your mind.
-
I want to go through and look at this specific uh people that Joshua then was going to have to battle to receive and conquer a certain territory that was promised to them.
-
Watch what happens off the rip.
-
Joshua chapter 7.
Joshua 7 chapter mention
-
And like I told you, once before once I told you once before, Joshua's the book of Joshua shows you everything you need to know and how to deal with the devil, how the devil operates and everything.
-
I can't get to that today, but eventually as we continue and talking about AI, I'll do a part two of this and talk about uh Joshua chapter nine.
-
Tell you everything you need to know.
-
Alright.
-
Now, let's go here.
-
Chapter 7.
-
Look at verse 1.
-
Watch this.
-
But the sons of Israel acted unfaithfully, look at this, and violated their obligation in regard to the things off limit under the band.
-
Those things belonging to the Lord.
-
Now, God many times had no problems with them collecting spoils, but there were certain things, specifically gold and silver, that God says was his.
-
Okay, that's why I use the Amplified Bible.
-
But it talks about ban here to bring it into real terms for you to understand, just like how in the world today we have bans, certain things you can't bring on flights, certain things that are banned from your job that you can't bring.
-
Okay, if you bring those things, what happens?
-
You get in trouble for it.
-
Alright?
-
And then eventually they have to have a conversation with everybody else, even though they had nothing to do with it, because it affects them too.
-
Alright?
-
So these things were under a ban that the Lord had.
-
For Achan, the son of Carmi.
-
Now, I'm not gonna be good at pronouncing these names, I'm just gonna tell you that right now.
-
So don't hold that against me.
-
The son of Zebde, the son of Zara, from the tribe of Judah.
-
Now, how many of y'all know that this tribe is who Jesus belongs to?
-
Tribe of Judah.
-
Okay.
-
Now, took some of the things, look at this, under the band for what?
-
Personal gain.
-
Therefore, the anger of the Lord burned against the Israelites.
-
Now, watch this.
-
Verse 2.
-
Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai.
-
See that?
-
Which is near Beth.
-
Now, AI today is taking over the world by storm.
-
AI as we know it today, artificial intelligence.
-
And it's becoming more and more scarily intelligent every day.
-
All AI is today, it is taking all historical everything from out time and combining it to use it for the knowledge and the wisdom that you get from it today.
-
That's all it's doing.
-
And the more that we release to it and the more interaction we have with it, the smarter and intelligently it gets.
-
And this is the reason why eventually you can already see where this is going, that the Antichrist is going to be able to use AI.
-
And it talks about uh this beast that is going to force people that don't have the mark, that have the mark to worship it.
-
AI today, and what it's going to be then, he will be able to be, Satan will be able to be in everywhere at once through AI.
-
It's going to be controlling everything.
-
Homes, people, all kinds of stuff.
-
But now we see it a AI as them coming against in the physical sense.
-
See what I'm saying?
-
This is why I love the book.
-
We we ask God for tapping into the spiritual realm, and he's been showing us what's been happening behind the scenes the whole time through these physical stories.
-
Alright, so now let's keep going.
-
Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth, east of Bethel, the house of God.
-
I believe that's the interpretation of uh the translation of Bethel.
-
And said to them, Go up and spy out the land.
-
So the men went up and spied out the land.
-
Now we know this has been done on many occasions, and there was a few occasions where bad reports or negative reports were brought against the land because some people did not want to face the giants there.
-
Well, who the giants that we deal with today?
-
Demonic forces.
-
Now, so they went and spy the land.
-
Watch this.
-
Then they returned to Joshua and said to him, Do not make all the people go up to fight.
-
Now, how smart.
-
Let me tell you something.
-
Even in your disobedience, God will not allow Satan to totally trap you.
-
I need y'all to let that sink in for a minute.
-
Even in our disobedience, God will not allow Satan to totally trap you all the way.
-
See how smart this was?
-
And you're gonna see how smart it was in a minute.
-
When they came back from spine out of the land, watch what it said.
-
Do not make all the people go up to fight.
-
Have only about 2,000 or 3,000 men go up and attack AI.
-
Now, here's their reasoning why they said this.
-
Do not make the entire army go up there, for they for they of AI are few, because they disregarded the fact that AI wasn't as many as them, and they underestimated them.
-
Now, this would have in essence been true that they would have defeated them if it had not been what we saw in the first few verses of the disobedience displayed by the tribe of by some and the tribe of Judah.
-
Okay, now verse 4.
-
So about 3,000 men from the sons of Israel went up there, but they watched this, fled in retreat from the men of Ai.
-
The few that they discounted.
-
Verse 5, the men of Ai killed about 36 of Israel's men and chased them from the gate as far as the bluffs of Shabiram and struck them down as they descended the steep pass.
-
So the hearts of the people melted in despair and began to doubt God's promise and became like water this heart.
-
Now this happened so many times.
-
This happened so many times.
-
God, you lied.
-
You said you would be with us.
-
Yeah, we just went up here and got struck down.
-
36 of our men died out of the two, three thousand we sent up there.
-
Not realizing that it was because of them that God could not fight on their behalf.
-
Watch this.
-
It wasn't because God didn't want to.
-
See?
-
But watch this.
-
Verse 6.
-
And you saw this a lot.
-
It says, Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord until evening.
-
Now watch this.
-
He and the elders of Israel, and with great sorrow they put dust on their heads.
-
Joshua said, Alas, O Lord God, why have you brought this people?
-
Look at this.
-
Same stuff that Moses would be asking.
-
And then the people would ask too.
-
Across the Jordan at all, only to hand us over to the Amorites to destroy us.
-
If only we had been willing to live beyond the Jordan, O Lord, what can I say now that the army of Israel has turned back and retreat and fled before their enemies?
-
For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear about it and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth.
-
Look at this.
-
And what will you do for your great name to keep it from dishonor?
-
Now watch this.
-
Look at this.
-
Look at this, y'all.
-
Verse 10.
-
Watch this.
-
So the Lord said to Joshua, get up.
-
Why is it that you have fallen on your face?
-
It ain't got nothing to do with me.
-
Israel has sinned.
-
See, Joshua didn't know this.
-
But see, this is what I tell you.
-
If you don't understand your dreams, you're not going to understand when God is trying to tell you what Satan has been plotting against you and doing against you the whole time.
-
See, this is why Satan loves for us to be ignorant.
-
Because as long as we stay ignorant, we can't fight back.
-
And Joshua then was ignorant in this matter.
-
And God had to straighten it up.
-
He says, Israel has sinned.
-
Ain't got nothing to do with me.
-
It wasn't because I didn't want to fight for y'all.
-
It's because your disobedience that disconnected me from being able to handle things like I've been doing with this hand of mine.
-
Alright, now let's keep going.
-
They have also, look at this, transgressed my covenant, which I commanded them to keep.
-
They have even taken some of the things that were under that band.
-
And they have both stolen and denied the theft.
-
Moreover, they have also put the stolen objects among their own things.
-
Now remember what I told you.
-
That's why you gotta be careful with what you invest in and put in your home because you don't know the possible demonic activity surrounding those things.
-
All of a sudden, there's destruction and turmoil going on in your home.
-
You don't know why.
-
And if you don't understand your dreams, you're not gonna know why.
-
He will continue to tear you up with it until you figure it out.
-
Alright, let's keep going.
-
So they've taken some things and hid it amongst their own things.
-
Watch this.
-
That is why the soldiers of Israel could not stand and defend themselves before their enemies.
-
Now, what did God say through the apostle Paul over here in Ephesians chapter 6, 10 to 12?
Ephesians 6 chapter mention
-
We are to stand against the schemes and the strategies of the devil.
-
When you don't have that whole armor on, you can't do that.
-
See?
-
And then he used this word here stand.
-
They couldn't stand and defend themselves before their enemies.
-
Look at that.
-
They turned their backs and ran before them because they have become accursed.
-
Ain't got nothing to do with me.
-
I do what I always do.
-
I'm a God who don't change.
-
You change in your rebellion and your disobedience, which caused me by default not to be able to fight on your end.
-
Do you think you think for one moment it didn't hurt me to see that happening?
-
But I couldn't do a thing about it because of your disobedience is what stopped me from being able to do it, like I always do.
-
Alright now.
-
He says, Uh, I will not be with you anymore.
-
Watch this, unless you destroy the things under the band from among you.
-
Rise up, consecrate the people, and say, consecrate yourselves for tomorrow.
-
The Lord is about to reveal who did this.
-
For thus says the Lord of the God of Israel, there are things under the ban among you, O Israel.
-
You cannot stand victorious before your enemies until you remove the things under the ban from among you.
-
See, God has revealed these things.
-
But as you can see, Joshua followed protocol and he went to God to find out what was going on.
-
Because he sought the Lord, which is what he wants you to do.
-
That's why a lot of times he gives you stuff in symbolism to make you seek him for the answers.
-
He wants to build that relationship with you.
-
He won't always tell you straight up what it is symbolically that he's trying to show you.
-
He wants to see if you're gonna do what Joshua did.
-
You're gonna come to him.
-
And when you do, he's gonna tell you the answer on what's doing, what's causing problems.
-
So let's keep going.
-
So he says, There are things under the band among you, O Israel.
-
You cannot stand victorious before your enemies until you remove the things under the band from among you.
-
In the morning, you shall come forward by your tribes.
-
And it shall be that the tribe, which the Lord chooses by lot, shall come forward by families.
-
Now, lots have always been a tradition.
-
It's always been something that they've cast.
-
Even when you saw Peter them choosing the 12th member to replace Judas.
-
So lots has always been something traditionally that have been cast, okay, to help make decisions.
-
They want the primary decision, but they believe in that the Holy Spirit would guide them on the right decision to make by the lots that they've drawn.
-
And God is telling them to do this in the morning so that they can know who's responsible for their failure to go up against these few in AI.
-
Alright?
-
Now, so and it shall be that the tribe which the Lord chooses by lot shall come forward by the families, and the family which the Lord chooses shall come forward by separate households, and the household which the Lord chooses shall come forward man by man.
-
It shall be that the one who chooses, chosen with the things under the band shall be killed and his body burned with fire.
-
He and all that belong to him, because he has transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he has done a disgraceful and disobedient thing to Israel.
-
Now, what did the apostle Paul say over there in Ephesians chapter 5, I'm not mistaken?
Ephesians 5 chapter mention
-
He says, It is even disgraceful to talk about the things that have been done evilly in secret.
-
You see, he's using the same similar same similar words right here.
-
See how well the Bible is put together.
-
You can't beat it.
-
Now let's go.
-
Verse 16.
-
So Joshua got up early in the morning and had Israel come forward by tribe, and the tribe of Judah was chosen by the lot.
-
See this?
-
He had the families of Judah come forward, and the family of the Zarahites was chosen, and he had the family of the Zarahites come forward man by man, and Zebde was chosen, because he's the guilty party.
-
He, the tribe of Judah, was chosen.
-
Then Joshua said to Achan, my son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to him in recognition of his righteous judgments.
-
It's righteous.
-
And tell me now what you have done.
-
Do not hide it from me.
-
So Achan answered Joshua and said, In truth, I have sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done.
-
When I saw among the spoils in Jericho, look at this.
-
A beautiful robe from Shenar, Southern Babylon, and two hundred shekels of silver and a bar of gold weighing fifty shekels.
-
I wanted them and took them.
-
Behold, they are hidden in the ground inside my tent with the silver underneath.
-
This jugger hid all of that.
-
Joshua done didn't know what was going on.
-
All they knew was when they went into battle, all of a sudden God wasn't helping them.
-
And that's why he wasn't helping them.
-
Not because by choice, but because of their disobedience, disconnected God's hand to help them, like he always does.
-
That's why you gotta be careful what you're bringing into your home.
-
That's why you gotta be careful what you're buying and what you're receiving.
-
It's not because you're being evil, but as the word tells us to have discrimination and discretion.
-
We gotta take it that serious, just like it's about to be taken serious right here.
-
Not killing somebody, how serious it was here, but this is exactly what's getting ready to happen.
-
Okay?
-
Now, so he says, He's hidden underneath in his home.
-
He said, Watch this.
-
So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran and ran to the tent, and they saw the stolen objects hidden in his tent with the silver underneath, and they took them from the tent and brought them to Joshua and to all the sons of Israel and spread them out before the Lord.
-
Then Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan, the son of Zara, the silver, the royal robe, the bar of gold, his sons, look at this his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, everything that tied to him.
-
They had to suffer because of what he did.
-
Watch this.
-
And everything he had, and they brought them up to the valley of Acher, disaster called disaster.
-
That's what that valley is.
-
Joshua said, Why have you brought disaster on us?
-
God don't never do anything without a purpose, y'all.
-
Never do anything without a purpose.
-
Everything he does is strategic.
-
They went up on in the valley of Akron.
-
Subtitle.
-
Called Disaster.
-
Let's just sing in for a minute.
-
Joshua said, Why have you brought disaster on us?
-
The Lord will bring you disaster this day.
-
Then all Israel stone them, not just him.
-
Stone everyone tied to his family.
-
To raise the curse that was brought on them.
-
See how serious this is.
-
This is some serious stuff.
-
And you might think the little item that you have can't possibly be doing that.
-
But it most certainly can.
-
It most certainly can.
-
So let's keep going.
-
So everyone of his household, including him, got stoned to death.
-
They didn't have nothing to do with it, but because of what he did, he brought shame and disaster on his whole household.
-
The Lord will bring you disaster this day.
-
Then all Israel stoned them to death with stones.
-
Afterward, they burned their bodies.
-
Wow.
-
In the fire.
-
Then they piled up over him a great heap of stones that remains to this day.
-
Then the Lord, look at this, turn from the fierceness of his anger.
-
You know what I mean?
-
It's back on.
-
I got y'all.
-
I got you.
-
Boy, this boy, this stuff here.
-
That's why when he gives you stuff, you gotta get rid of it.
-
You gotta get rid of it right now.
-
Therefore, the name of that place has been called the Valley of Acre.
-
Disaster to this day.
-
And I want to stop right there.
-
And I'm gonna emphasize again.
-
Spiritual warfare is not just an individual thing, it's a corporate thing against all the body of Christ.
-
The word tells us that when one is being honored, we're all being honored.
-
When one is suffering, guess what?
-
We all suffer.
-
We all suffer for things that we brought that we thought were innocent in our eyes and wonder why there's chaos going on in our homes.
-
And we don't know because we can't pinpoint it because we don't know the dreams that we're having.
-
That's why it's so important at the end of the day to understand the dreams that God give you.
-
That's why I repent right now because I know I was one walking in ignorance.
-
Of something that God has been speaking through all my life.
-
All my life.
-
Peace and blessings.
-
Beloved, I'm out.
