  1. Hello, my beloved brethren and sisters in Christ.

  2. This is Evangelist Tobey Doubt that I am back again.

  3. We're going to try to finish up John chapter 1, starting in the 19th verses.

    John 1 chapter mention

  4. We have covered all the way from 1 to 18.

  5. We've looked at a lot of scriptures supporting the scriptures that we saw within those verses.

  6. And so today we may not have to do that.

  7. I think we're going to be able to go and ride straight through.

  8. And it is definitely a blessing.

  9. I want to thank Rosie.

  10. I want to thank Patarsha, those who have supported the channel early and have listened and have commented.

  11. And I thank you guys for that.

  12. I'm looking for this community to grow.

  13. I'm not going to rush it.

  14. But I just want you guys to know that you are in my prayers.

  15. I definitely take you to my prayer room when I pray to the Lord.

  16. If you have anything specific that you want me to pray on and ask the God ask God about, I definitely will be interested in doing so.

  17. The apostle Paul said he made specific requests according to the body of Christ saints.

  18. And so if you have something specifically you want me to pray on and come into agreement with you on, I'm definitely all about that.

  19. I want to make it known that I do study from an amplified Bible.

  20. I'll try to make that known as much as possible.

  21. Every video if I possibly can.

  22. Don't hold it, hold it against me if I forget, but I'm going to try not to.

  23. The reason why I do that is because this is the Bible that is most comfortable to me.

  24. And I probably need to stop saying, you know, go and check out the Amplified Bible on Bible Gateway.

  25. Listen, if the Bible that you have, you feel like you can follow me with it.

  26. I have no problem with that.

  27. You know, even the Berean Church.

  28. Uh search the scriptures to see what the apostle Paul was saying, if it was correct.

  29. And so I I expect nothing less than that.

  30. With that being said, let's go ahead and get started reading the verse and start in verse 19 and see if we can get all the way through.

  31. Alright, it says, This is the testimony of John the Baptist.

  32. When the Jew, Jews sent priests and Levites to him from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you?

  33. And he confessed truthfully and did not deny that he was only a man, but acknowledged, I am not the Christ, the Messiah, the anointed.

  34. They asked him, What then are you?

  35. Elijah, and he said, I am not.

  36. Are you the promised prophet?

  37. And he answered, No.

  38. Then they said to him, Who are you?

  39. Tell us, so that we may give an answer to those who sent us.

  40. What do you say about yourself?

  41. He said, I am the voice of one shouting in the wilderness.

  42. Make straight the way of the Lord as the prophet Isaiah said.

  43. Now, when it's in all capital letters, it is denoting that he is quoting from the Old Testament.

  44. And what he is saying here is that you guys don't even recognize that I'm the guy that's supposed to be preparing the way for Jesus Christ.

  45. And so it's a wonder how you're going to recognize the Messiah himself if you don't even recognize what I'm doing right now.

  46. But as much scripture as you claim you know, you are failing to realize that the time is here upon us.

  47. Alright now.

  48. Verse 24.

  49. Now they had been sent from the Pharisees.

  50. They asked him, Why then are you baptizing if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?

  51. John answered them, I baptize only in water, but among you there stands one whom you do not recognize and of whom you know nothing.

  52. And they definitely did not recognize Jesus at all.

  53. He wasn't the Jesus that they was hoping he would be.

  54. Someone coming rich and a king and uh got money falling everywhere, blessing everybody.

  55. He came as a poor man with healing abilities, being able to prophesy and all those things that he was supposed to be doing.

  56. Alright.

  57. The Bible says that he performed so many miracles that all of them couldn't even be written or recorded in the book.

  58. Let that sink in for a minute.

  59. But yet they still did not know who he was.

  60. Verse 27 It is he, the preeminent one, the superior one over everything, who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie, even as his slave.

  61. Verse 28.

  62. These things occurred in Bethany across the Jordan at the Jordan River crossing where John was baptized.

  63. The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

  64. Verse 30.

  65. This is he on behalf of whom I said, After me comes a man who has a higher rank than I and his priority over me, has priority over me, for he existed before me.

  66. Verse 31.

  67. I did not recognize him as the Messiah, but I came baptizing in water so that he would be publicly revealed to Israel.

  68. John gave further evidence, testifying officially for the record, with validity and relevance, saying, I have seen the spirit, the Holy Spirit, descending as a dove out of heaven, and he remained upon him.

  69. I did not recognize him as the Messiah, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, He upon whom you see the Spirit, descend and remain, this one is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

  70. I myself have actually seen that happen, and my testimony is that this is the Son of God.

  71. Verse 35.

  72. Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked along and said, Look, the Lamb of God.

  73. The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus.

  74. And Jesus turned and saw them following him and asked them, What do you want?

  75. They answered, Him, Rabbi, what's translated translated means teacher.

  76. Where are you staying?

  77. Now, like I told you, the amplified already helps you, and it's already given us what rabbi means in translation, and it means teacher.

  78. Now, verse 39, he said to them, Come and you will see.

  79. So they went with him and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day.

  80. For it was about the tenth hour.

  81. One of the two who heard what John said, and as a result followed Jesus was Andrew Simon, Peter's brother.

  82. He first looked for and found his own brother Simon and told him, We have found the Messiah.

  83. Now he's gathering his disciples, and uh they're getting ready to become a family together and go fishing for fishing for men.

  84. The Messiah was translated, means the Christ.

  85. And you brought Simon to Jesus.

  86. Jesus looked at him and said, You are Simon, the son of John.

  87. You shall be called Siphis, which is translated Peter.

  88. The next day Jesus decided to go into Galilee, and he found Philip and said to him, Follow me as my disciple, accepting me as your master and teacher, and walking the same path of life that I walk.

  89. Now Philip was from Bethta, the city of Andrew and Peter.

  90. Philip found Nathaniel and told him, We have found the one Moses in the law, and also the prophets wrote about Jesus from Nazareth, the son of Joseph, according to public record.

  91. Nathanael answered him, Can anything go good come out of Nazareth?

  92. Philip replied, Come and see.

  93. Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward him and said of him of him, Here is an Israelite, indeed a true descendant of Jacob, in whom there is no guile nor deceit nor duplicity.

  94. Now these are some bold words for Christ to make about a man that is not exactly like him, a man with no sin.

  95. But Jesus knows this about Nathaniel.

  96. Okay?

  97. And uh Nathaniel's gonna be impressed with this.

  98. But watch what Jesus said.

  99. Uh verse 48, Nathaniel said to Jesus, How do you know these things about me?

  100. Jesus answered, Before Philip called you, when you were still under the fig tree, I saw you.

  101. Nathaniel answered, Rabbi teacher, you are the Son of God, you are the King of Israel.

  102. Jesus replied, Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree.

  103. Do you believe in me?

  104. You will see greater things than this.

  105. Then he said to him, I assure you and most solemnly say to you, you will see heaven open and the angels of God as the ascending and descending on the Son of Man, the bridge between heaven and earth.

  106. Now that concludes chapter one.

  107. We have gotten through it early.

  108. I kind of figured that we weren't gonna have to do scriptural supporting here.

  109. We were able to just go through it.

  110. Uh, it made a lot more sense.

  111. We see Jesus gathering the disciples and becoming a family and getting ready to go and be fishers among men.

  112. Um so with that being said, I'm not gonna prolong it.

  113. That concludes John chapter 1.

    John 1 chapter mention

  114. I'm looking forward to getting with the Holy Spirit and asking him where we are to go next.

  115. And I can't wait to see what he says.

  116. Other than that, man, God bless y'all.

  117. Like I said, if there's any prayer requests specifically that you want me to join in agreement with you on, please uh let me know that.

  118. And hey, I can get ready to go in this prayer closet and pray on your behalf and join you in what you are hoping God will bless you with.

  119. In the name of Jesus, I thank y'all.

  120. God bless you.

  121. Peace and blessings.
