and every breath that I have I'm gonna give to him if I can at all give him the
-
praise would you give him the best praise you brought with you today
-
hallelujah
-
hey man you can be seated
-
I know our giving is not a reflection of his goodness but it is a testimony of
-
it every every time you pick one of those up or walk by the bucket and put
-
one in put something in or you you go to the church app and you give online
-
it's a testimony of God's goodness it's a testimony to God's faithfulness I've
-
always said once I figured it out for myself you know you got to figure it out
-
for yourself tithing is not an affordability issue it's a trust issue
-
has nothing to do with being able to afford it or not it's do you trust God
-
or not and when you have that financial crisis moment of your own that you you
-
gonna decide to trust God and then he proves himself it's never ever an
-
affordability issue then for sure because of his goodness amen heavenly
-

-

-
according to your riches in glory and we're grateful and the church says amen
-

-
thought that's David they'll be glad I wasn't on soundboard today cuz about all
-
you'd have heard was David crank that bass up where I can hear it good amen
-
hallelujah have your Bibles be turning with me this morning to Psalm Psalm
Psalms 20 chapter mention
-
chapter 20
-
mm-hmm I was in another world I guess y'all wonder where I went I was singing
-
that song in my mind let us tell him all about our trouble he will hear you know
-
what County when I preach this you're gonna think I asked them to play that but
-
I did not when I get through here you'll think well that just works just fine and
-
it does God works that way I need things like that for confirmation in my own in
-
my own life and ministry to know that I'm on track a man another note remember
-
brother Billy Jacobs in prayer this morning just right before service got
-
started sister Sandra got a call right if they finished practicing in the
-
billy fail and he did his head and they had to call the ambulance and she had to
-
run home to help take care of brother Billy so remember them brother Billy
-
this morning amen Psalm chapter 20
Psalms 20 chapter mention
-
the Lord hear thee in verse 1 in the day of trouble
-
the name of the God of Jacob defend thee send the help from the sanctuary and
-
strengthen thee out of Zion remember all thy offerings and accept thy burnt
-
sacrifice say law this pause and look at that grant thee according to thine own
-
heart and fulfill all thy counsel we will rejoice in thy salvation and in the
-
name of our God we will set up our banners the Lord fulfill all thy
-
petitions now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed he will hear him
-
from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand some trust in
-
chariots and some in horses but we will remember the name of the Lord our God
-
they are brought down and fallen but we are risen and stand upright save Lord
-
let the King hear us when we call simple thought this morning the Lord is on your
-
side the Lord is on your side I'll pray for you if you pray for me and we'll
-
make this expedient today father we love you we thank you for your mercy and your
-
grace your goodness and Lord we know you're on our side now I asked God that
-
you would help us this morning to preach that which would be edifying to the body
-
glorifying to your name for this is what it's about that the Saints be lifted and
-
you be exalted so encourage us today and may we that have ears hear what the
-
spirit said to the church and the church says amen amen you can be seated tell
-
your neighbor the Lord's on your side this 20th Psalm is actually coupled with
-
the 21st they go together and they are both battle songs songs of battle the
-
20th Psalm precedes of course the battle and the 21st follows the battle from the
-
heart of the King
-
the praise for victory of the battle belongs into the Lord the 20th Psalm
-
anticipates victory while the 21st declares that victory David is the author
-
of these songs Psalms and they are songs and possibly during the period of his
-
many wars recorded in 2nd Samuel possibly between the 8th and the 10th
-
chapter David as the warring King one thing you need to know about David his
-
sword may have been worn but it wasn't rusty he never let his sword get rusty
-
the psalm this morning records an unnecessary prayer of the multitude on
-
behalf of the King as he's about to encounter the enemy in battle there's one
-
thing for certain battles will arise enemies will roar
-
so therefore we must have the goods to get us through the hard times we got to
-
have what it takes to lift our head up have our eyes open as we walk in to
-
battle as we think about this 20th Psalm there's some things in it that the King
-
prepares himself with in this prayer and this psalm as he
-
approaches the battlefield
-
you and I have to prepare ourselves as we approach the battlefield I think it's
-
page 268 in that old red back him there's a song that declares I'm on the
-
battlefield for my Lord
-
that's where you and I exist today every day is a battle don't be alarmed when
-
you wake up tomorrow and the enemies facing you don't don't be alarmed when
-
you're frustrated flabbergasted disgusted and you're you're longing for
-
a little relief anybody ever been there because it's one battle right after the
-
other because something you you've got to understand about your enemy is he's
-
never going to give up trying to destroy you he's never going to stop so the
-
sooner that we as believers understand that that lion roars every day the
-
adversary gets up in the morning and roars in your direction he roars in my
-
direction he wants me to know that he is a relentless foe and I have to be on my
-
guard every single day you have to be on your guard every single day and we can
-
do that when we have a mental concept knowing that God is on our side before
-
we ever step on the battlefield amen that the Lord is on our side so the first
-
thing is the psalmist begins to record we see this enduring fact that the Lord
-
truly indeed is on our side when you think about enduring that word means
-
lasting it means continuing it means stable you have a stable force you have
-
a stable resource on your side it's ever enduring he is ever enduring he never
-
weakens he's never diminished hallelujah I don't know how that makes you feel but
-
it really makes me feel good when I understand and know that the Lord is on
-
my side and he is enduring for me and on my behalf greater is he that's in me
-
than he that is in this world greater is he that's in you then he that is in this
-
world so we have this enduring fact the Lord hear thee now when you think about
-
that in that verse one that the psalmist records it well the Lord hear thee in
-
the day of trouble understand this morning and know no trouble can approach
-
you what God doesn't already know that it's approaching you remember he knows
-
the end from the beginning and the beginning all the way through the end he
-
knows all of the factors that's going on against your life he knows the plot of
-
the enemy he and like brother Mill said last week he already knows what he's
-
going to do for you if you just simply believe and trust in him and that
-
enduring fact that the Lord is for you and he is on your side and he hears you
-
a man in the day of trouble now I don't know about you but far as prayer goes if
-
I'm not recognizing that the enemy's coming against me in full force I don't
-
pray as much throughout the day as I do when I know that he's really out to get
-
me that day those are the days that I kindly end up in praise I praise more I
-
wake up with a song on my heart I wake up with a song the funny thing about it
-
is I can only remember about a half a stanza and I just repeat that stanza all
-
day long and the one that's been stuck in my head for the past month is that I
-
what is it baby I've been saying that see there I can't even get it now and I
-
wake up and it just starts coming out every morning I saw the Lord and he
-
heard me and he answered and that's why I trust him so I go all day long that's
-
the only thing I can get out of that I've got enough sense to look it up on
-
my phone but that's really not the whole issue the whole issue is is I saw the
-
Lord and he heard me and he answered and that's why I trust him and that's why I
-
trust him I saw and it just plays looped over it's like a scratch on a CD or an
-
old 45 come on some of you you know I'm clicking and it rolls back click it
-
rolls back click it rolled back I saw the Lord and he heard me and he answered
-
and that's why I trust him because I I begin to let my mind rush over the days
-
that I've sought the Lord and he did hear me and he did answer and it reminds
-
me that the Lord is on my side hallelujah and so those are the days
-
that praise just flows out of it then there's those other days when I wake up
-
to the echo of the roar of the lion who's standing there before me and I
-
know the battle is on today and I need to know that the enduring fact that the
-
Lord is on my side is in my mind so now I'm engaging in prayer I pray constantly
-
throughout the day no I'm not always in a closet no I'm not always at an altar
-
but my mind is before the throne all day long and I'm interceding and I'm praying
-
and I'm seeking him and tomorrow when he moves and he answers I wake up I sought
-
the Lord and he heard me and he answered and that's why I trust him and it goes
-
on throughout my life the psalmist had sought the Lord and he heard him and
-
that's what his declaration he is the Lord hear thee in the day of trouble if
-
it's not trouble amen we're not really calling on him but when you call on him
-
in the day of trouble he does hear you and it's an enduring fact to know that
-
the Lord is on our side it encourages me to know that he's there that he always
-
hears me when I pray but it's also he's always prepared to help me in my trouble
-
Jesus said in John 15 and 7 if you abide in me and my words abide in you you shall
-
ask what you will and it shall be done unto you doesn't that make you want to
-
shout it does especially if you're living out the contractual agreement with
-
this scripture the secret is that little two-letter word if hello you can seek
-
him you can cry out all you want but if you're not abiding in him he's not
-
obligated because you have broken the contract my my my my but for one who is
-
abiding it's a conditional promise there if you're where you're supposed to be he
-
will do what he's promised to do a man so if you're not where you're supposed
-
to be and he's not doing what you're asking him to do I don't think the
-
shortage is on his end it's always on our and can I get a witness in here it's
-
a it's it's always on our end it's not on his end if we're abiding if we're
-
living if we're dwelling within him and living in a life of righteousness and
-
holiness but right and that and we're just seeking him out daily and our mind
-
is continually on him if we're doing those things if we are abiding then he
-
will answer why because he is obligated to his word and nothing else
-
hallelujah but if we are where we are and know that the Lord is on our side and
-
if you're there he will answer favorable answers follow the condition of the
-
prayer first John 5 14 15 and this is the confidence that we have in him how
-
many of you are confident in him this is the confidence that we have in him that
-
if there it is again if we ask anything according to his will he hears us that
-
leads me to believe if I'm praying contrary to his will he ain't heard a
-
thing because the only thing that he aligns with is being in accordance to
-
his will and abiding in his presence but if I'm trying to live out my life in
-
accordance to his will how do I know what his will is well he's written it
-
out for you his will and testament both old and new for our life and for our
-
understanding if we are living in accordance to his word and obedience in
-
our life as he speaks and directs to us and we are living obediently before him
-
then we are contractually fulfilling the obligation and the agreement if
-
hallelujah and then we're praying in accordance to his will he hears us and
-
if we know here I love this part and if we know that he hears us whatsoever we
-
ask we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him the first
-
condition was abide the second condition is according to his will and the key to
-
answered prayer is holy living and discernment of the will of God and if
-
we abide in him and he and us and we ask according to that will then we position
-
ourselves for answered prayer this is the enduring fact of God's faithfulness
-
we are positioned in an alignment for him to answer when we seek the Lord and
-
he hears us always hope there's always hope no matter the situation because we
-
have the obligation in prayer no matter the battle no matter who the enemy
-
presents themselves to be every child of God has the opportunity to pray we are
-
afforded prayer and if we are abiding in him and we are in praying in accordance
-
to his will he hears us and if we know that he hears us I have confidence in
-
him because see I have confidence in my own life do you have confidence in where
-
you are in God right now in your relationship I have confidence in knowing
-
that when the spirit convicts me I repent
-
that's a that's an unheard of term to the church anymore you mean I got to
-
keep repenting well if you keep it on sinning yes you do but my prayer for us
-
is that our faith grows and the sanctifying and the washing of the
-
regenerating power of the Word of God finally equips us and gets us where
-
we're no longer practicing sin it's a wonderful work of sanctification I got
-
I got to get on we'll get to that later sometime that's another plow for another
-
field he hears you when you pray Psalm 3 & 4 I cried unto the Lord with my
-
voice it always helps if you're going to cry out use your voice I know there are
-
places and situations sometimes where we can't just let it out and we do from the
-
inside our soul cries out don't we I mean I'm screaming to the top of my
-
spiritual lungs and I may be in a place where I just can't shout it out but on
-
the inside I'm screaming to the heaven Lord hear me I'm here before you in this
-
day of my trouble and he hears chapter 6 verse 9 the Lord has heard my
-
supplication the Lord will receive my prayer the Psalmist was confident in God
-
hearing him because he was confident in his condition with God chapter 18 verse
-
6 in my distress I called upon the Lord and cried unto my God he heard my voice
-
and out of his temple and my cry came before him even unto his ears 34 and 4
-
I sought the Lord and he heard me and he delivered me from all my fears verse 6
-
this poor man cried and the Lord heard him and he saved him out of all of his
-
troubles Proverbs 18 and 10 the name of the Lord's a strong tower the righteous
-
run into it and he saved the name of the Lord is a strong tower understand
-
knowing that when you are in the day and time of trouble the Lord hears you it's
-
an enduring fact for my life he hears me then the answer sort of becomes dependent
-
upon my condition with him he hears me if I'm abiding and I'm praying in
-
accordance to his will I know he hears me a man I know he hears me Micah 7 7 and
-
8 says therefore I will look unto the Lord I will wait for the God of my
-
salvation my God will hear me and this is how he knows he's going to hear him
-
because of his condition rejoice not against me oh mine enemy when I fall I
-
shall arise when I sit in darkness the Lord shall become a light unto me I
-
don't know what that might do for you maybe it'll hit you a little bit later
-
as you begin to meditate on those two verses of scripture Micah 7 7 and 8 go
-
home and read them again get them placed in your heart get that in your mind
-
because there comes a time when we do fall when we get knocked over on the
-
battlefield but I love what the prophets said rejoice not over me oh mine enemy
-
when I fall he immediately said I shall arise let me tell you what the water's
-
parallel looks like in that passage of scripture it looks like this devil don't
-
you dare stand over me and grin don't you look down on me because I'm down
-
because I'm gonna get up my Lord and when I get up from here when I have you
-
ever told somebody like that you may not be down but when I get up from here
-
hey man I'm gonna get up my mama used to tell me that don't make me get up from
-
here hello because I knew trouble was on its way if mama had to get up from there
-
you know what I mean and that's what the prophet is trying to tell the enemy
-
rejoice not over me oh my enemy because I'm gonna call on the Lord I'm gonna
-
talk to the God of my salvation and I know he hears me and because he hears me
-
I may be down but I'm not out I may be down I may have fallen but I'm not gonna
-
stay here and when I get up from here you've had it when I get up from here
-
I'm gonna take my vengeance on you when I sit in darkness the Lord shall be my
-
light the Lord is on your side you may feel like you're in the dark room in the
-
developmental process of life and it's okay the Lord will be your light
-
hallelujah hey my soul that's one of my favorite verses don't make fun of me
-
devil I may be down but I'm gonna get up and when I do get up from here hello
-
grief may have me down sorrow may be welling over me but peace peace peace
-
is coming my way and when peace gets to me like sea billows roll I'm gonna get
-
up from here when the anguish of my soul is quenched by the grace of God Almighty
-
the enduring fact to me knowing that he has heard me in my plight he has heard
-
me in my dilemma and I sit in my dark room and the devil's looking down on me
-
I will you gotta make a personal declaration I will arise
-
well hallelujah that enduring fact is transformed to a strengthening force
-
that second verse said he's gonna send the help from the sanctuary and
-
strengthen thee out of Zion out of the same Lord said he's coming out himself
-
he's sending you help from the sanctuary out of that holy place the most holy
-
place where his grace and mercy and his might abides from there he's coming and
-
he's gonna strengthen you that word strengthen means to support to hold up
-
to refresh I just got a feeling down in my soul as I was studying and going over
-
this again this morning I just feel like somebody needs to know God's gonna
-
strengthen you today his strength is on his way for you he's gonna uphold you he
-
is going to support you he's gonna refresh you it's coming your way he said
-
out of his sanctuary he's gonna dispatch his help and it's gonna
-
strengthen you out of his glory out of the realm of heaven I'm here to tell you
-
this morning God is gonna dispatch a refreshing for you and he's gonna
-
strengthen you out of Zion Zion means that desert parts place and also the is
-
the inference of the city of Jerusalem the place of Zion but God said from
-
there out of your parts place out of that desert moment I'm gonna strengthen
-
you I'm gonna refresh you even in the hardship of where you are even in the
-
hardness of where you've been living even in that desert place he's gonna
-
send a refreshing he's gonna encourage you because the Lord wants you to know
-
he is on your side this morning well glory he's the strength of our soul the
-
strength of the Lord is the force that enables us to not just make it through a
-
battle but to be victorious in the battle
-
you know sometimes surviving is victory hello there's something to be said for
-
survivors because you're victorious in your surviving
-
sometimes survival is the victory we look at it like if we just run in the
-
aisles we're not victorious but I'm here to you sometimes after the battle you
-
don't have strength to run hello sometimes after the victory you all you
-
can do is just sit and soak up his goodness and let him strengthen you for
-
your shout and may have ever done that you've come through a spiritual war and
-
you do all you do just kind of wipe your head you might have to shout your way to
-
the victory but you finally got there and it's like I'm out I'm out I'm empty
-
my tanks empty well when you go into battle know this the Lord's gonna
-
strengthen you out of his sanctuary he's gonna send hope he's gonna send the
-
endorsing factor of his grace into your life and he's gonna enable you to be the
-
victor that he's called you out to be from the beginning Paul the Apostle
-
learned that valuable lesson with his storm in the flesh he said I prayed three
-
times have you ever really got a hold of God more than once for a situation it'd
-
be nice if you just got a hold of the heavens one time and it was done
-
sometimes you get a hold of heaven a couple different times Paul got a hold
-
of heaven he said I prayed through how many remember the old term praying
-
through not praying do you get finished but praying through to heaven touches
-
you right one person put it this way pray do you touch heaven and pray till
-
heaven touches you and pray that you can touch somebody else when you get up amen
-
Paul said I prayed through I prayed three times on behalf of this thorn I've
-
got this this messenger that Satan sent to come against me every day he was in
-
that battle he's weak he's tired he's frustrated he's at a point where he
-
doesn't think he could go on and he gets hold of heaven and heaven gets a hold of
-
him and he hears this from the Lord's mouth himself my grace is sufficient
-
for you for my hear this for my strength is made perfect in weakness when we are
-
at our weakest in the flesh the power of God the glory of God becomes the
-
strongest in the spirit and enables us in our weakness so that we could have
-
the same testimony that Paul would let her have to the Philippians I can do all
-
things through Christ who strengthens me and the only way you know that is if you
-
have that wonderful touch of his grace when you've prayed over and over and
-
over and God still doesn't move it as far as I know he died with his thorn
-
whatever that might have been a lot of speculation out there I don't know so
-
I'll not speculate Paul had a problem he had an issue evidently it was very
-
tormenting to him because he didn't just pray once and go on with it hello how
-
many of them problems you got you pray once or twice and you learn to live with
-
it he never learned to live with it God had to grace him through it this I can
-
tell he never accepted it and always remained a fester and I know what a
-
little briar in your thumb can do I've got one right now aggravates the life
-
out of me got in there the other day just a little bitty thorn every time he
-
touched something you know I'm saying it's got a little fester to it I'm gonna
-
have to dig it out my lord with that right there not preach
-
sometimes you just gotta let him dig it out I hate the old up to it but I got a
-
knot right here on side of this finger it's from a big piece of pool cue from
-
back in the day that's not funny baby if anybody remembers what the day was you
-
should remember it's a constant reminder but David it's a constant reminder that
-
not right there never down there now I hit something with it and it still hurts
-
I dug and I dug and I couldn't get it out somebody says why didn't you go to
-
the doctor and let them get it out well if I have to answer that you know as
-
intelligence I think you are redneck lifts enough holler in a hole in the
-
wall with a pool cue and then you think I'm going to get that dug out no
-
there's reminders that you carry around daily that you prayed about but they're
-
not gone
-
you've sought the Lord and he heard you and you just didn't like his answer I'm
-
sure Paul wanted a different answer wouldn't you love wouldn't it have been
-
wonderful to read that the Lord spoke to him and said okay I'm going to take care
-
of it it would make a whole lot better preaching by this time tomorrow you know
-
by this by four o'clock tomorrow evening it's going to be taken care of and then
-
we read on at 410 it was done and Paul shouting but that's not what we get we
-
hear the Lord say my grace is sufficient for you in your weakness my strength is
-
magnified and I'm going to keep on dispensing my grace somebody needs to
-
hear that today you may have to keep on dealing with it you may have to keep on
-
living with it but you're not going to live with it alone you're going to live
-
with the addition of his grace daily that amazing grace that enables you to
-
shout in spite of it hallelujah to sing over the top of it and to magnify him
-
because of it amen his grace will strengthen you now that really is not
-
good I'll run in preaching right there because that means we're kind of stuck
-
sometimes well yes it's not as rosy as the prosperity preachers like to make it
-
hello it's not as happy-go-lucky as the free grace people like to proclaim it oh
-
just do what you want to do it's covered honey hit ain't covered till you get it
-
covered this cheap grace place huh when I see the price he paid there's nothing
-
cheap about it come on if you abide in him he's
-
abiding in you the moment you stop abiding he stops listening the moment
-
you start transgressing his will he stops listening well you're not helping
-
me I'm helping you better than you think I am
-
he strengthens too many times in the battle we try to go in our own power
-
don't we we fail every time when we do that we need to remember the battle is
-
not ours a man the battle isn't yours you know what David said when he went
-
down to face Goliath in the valley of Elah as he's picking up stones along the
-
way Goliath cursing him making fun of him making fun of God cursing God
-
you come to me with spear and sword the battle is not mine but I come to you in
-
the name of the Lord all I'm coming for is the victory my god all I'm coming for
-
is your head my lord when you get that tenacity about you and the devil starts
-
roaring at you and God has graced you daily all you need to know is the battle
-
isn't yours you get to relish in the victory
-
Psalm 63 and 7 because thou hast been my help
-
therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I praise 121 the beautiful Psalm of
-
the sin I will lift up my eyes to the hills
-
from which cometh my help my help comes from the Lord
-
the maker of the heavens and the earth
-
the
-
psalmist moved through to a steady faith
-
for seven we will remember
-
the name
-
of the Lord our God
-
we will remember the name
-
of the Lord our God
-
of how God had heard and answered prayer over their life expanse
-
they probably remembered Jehovah-Roy
-
God who sees and answers
-
Jehovah-Jireh
-
Jehovah-Shalom he's my peace
-
Jehovah-Rapha he's my healer
-
we're gonna remember the name of the Lord our God
-
El Shaddai the Almighty One
-
El Ohim the self-existent one the creator
-
and when they look when they just started talking to each other about the names of God
-
they got excited because they began to remember who their God was
-
and we're about to go into battle
-
and when we begin to remember he's the God our peace
-
he's got our sanctifier he's our banner and his banner over us is love
-
Jehovah-Niss is his name and my Lord they got themselves worked up into a frenzy
-
when they began to go into battle because all they had to simply do was
-
remember who the God that they served was
-
and can I remind somebody in here you may have to get up in the morning and go
-
into battle but would you just remind yourself who it is you serve
-
for you and I he is all encompassed and we have the extra benefit
-
of the revelation of the incarnate one through Christ the I am's of our life
-
the bread the light the life the door hallelujah
-
the true vine we have all of those extended into us
-
we have God don't forget in whom it is you serve
-
and remember always that the Lord is on your side
-
Amen
-
Faith endures
-
our faith thrives on the blessings of God
-
my faith grows every time the Lord blesses
-
every time I hear a testimony from one of you
-
every time I get a picture of a check for three dollars and eighty five cents
-
that you got from the middle of nowhere in the mail
-
then you get those checks for the hundreds of dollars that people get in
-
the mail makes me want to pray harder that we all
-
get one of those but every time something that simple
-
that simplicity of that prayer that we pray every day
-
every time sister sandy tells me and testifies about the sale that she found
-
in town
-
getting stuff for a fraction of the original cost
-
does that matter well sure it does if you can pay 20 instead of 120
-
hello then I hear of how the Lord touches people in body
-
and they're healed or the peace of God wells over
-
and calms it encourages my faith and it causes me to thrive in God
-
even though I may be looking at the battle even though a Goliath may be
-
standing in front of me because David had faced Goliath and won
-
it lets me know that greater is he that's in me than he that is in this
-
world and if God is for me then who can be
-
against me you have to encourage yourself in the reality of who you are
-
as a child of God and let this prayerful psalm enter into
-
your heart and prepare you for battle
-
a steady faith too many Christians fall in battle because they have failed to
-
realize who God really is
-
we're living in very dangerous times troublesome times amen
-
we've got to remember the name of the Lord our God
-
remember his promises to us
-
remember the prophecies concerning the world
-
instead of becoming distraught and living in fear and withdrawn
-
no we step out knowing that our God is working and moving because his word
-
is being fulfilled right before our very eyes
-
we become excited I think part of our problem is
-
we've become too attached to this old world
-
we're too attached to this old world
-
but we will remember and if we can only commit the word of
-
God to our memory we'd be far better equipped for our
-
battles
-
the key to success in the work of God is the kind of study and
-
drawing near that we do concerning the word of God
-
faith I know it's all cliche and I know it's those that just roll out
-
faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God
-
we become steady in our faith and trusting God
-
when we hear the word proclaimed what we are this morning
-
we hear his word brought out before us and when I face the devil in a different
-
way maybe tomorrow or Thursday or Friday I remind myself of his word
-
and I remember that he is faithful and he is true
-
and he's not a man that he should lie and what he has said
-
he will perform if I abide in accordance to his will he's going to
-
do it for me
-
you end up with a defeated foe
-
verse eight they are brought down and fallen but we are risen
-
and stand upright
-
they would sing this song as they would get ready to go in the battle
-
that some trust in chariots some trust in horses but we're going to
-
trust in the name of our lord because his name is a
-
testimony of his faithfulness over their life his name is a testimony
-
over his faithfulness in your and my life
-
all my life you have been faithful
-
all my life you have been so so good with every breath that I am able
-
sister Kim come on do that
-
of the goodness of God why because the Lord's on your side
-
the Lord is on my side so we end up with a defeated foe they are brought
-
down and fallen one spiritual principle that
-
the average believer has never understood is that
-
they think that Satan still has the upper hand
-
in all earthly matters and that's just not so
-
he was defeated he is the prince and the power of the air but let me tell you
-
there's a king
-
over every prince
-
he rules in darkness but I've already read to you that in darkness the Lord
-
becomes you light
-
a defeated foe
-
and lastly what you end up with
-
is a sheltering place
-
that little prayer save Lord
-
Isaiah 59 and one reads behold the land the Lord's hand is not shortened
-
that it cannot save neither his ear heavy
-
that it cannot hear
-
the apostle James remind us that we have not because we ask not
-
the Lord himself encourages to Matthew 7 saying asking it shall be given seeking
-
you shall find not and it shall be open unto you
-
prayer turns hope into a certainty
-
in the fact that
-
he may not remove the thorn
-
but he will dispatch grace
-
and if grace isn't enough for you I don't know what to tell you this morning
-
if grace isn't sufficient for you then I have nothing else for you
-
because you've come to the end of the resource if grace isn't enough
-
for you I've talked to a lot of folk in my short time
-
and I've read a lot of other testimonies of God's goodness and grace
-
and I don't know that there exists in this room
-
anything that his grace hasn't already been sufficient for
-
I don't know what it would be
-
your situation your dilemma
-
his grace is sufficient it's enough
-
that little thorns been in there long enough now it's become something I do I
-
just caught myself again feeling that fester
-
thinking I really need to get that out of there
-
there may be some things in your life you really need God to get out
-
and he may get it out but he may not
-
what he may just do for you is when you're so weak
-
he adds his strength into you through his grace
-
I'd love to be able to stand up here and tell you that he takes everything away
-
I can't tell you that
-
but I can tell you this he'll make you better
-
he'll touch you he'll strengthen you
-
and the enemy is not going to rejoice over you because he will not allow that
-
you're not going to get washed away because his promise in his word is when
-
the enemy comes in like a flood he'll raise up a standard against him
-
maybe you feel like you're just hanging on standing with me this morning you're
-
just barely hanging on
-
you're in the middle of the battle and it's raging
-
and you're kindly questioning this victory part of this thing
-
you're going to survive it
-
you're going to get through it
-
there may not be a parade waiting on you when you come through it
-
but there is this
-
come unto me all you that are labored and heavy laden
-
I'll give you rest
-
take my yoke on you
-
I'll swap with you
-
I'll carry you load for a little while
-
everybody just come on down to this altar let's just get in here tied together
-
because we've all got battles come on in here
-
Abraham
-
I know some of the war that some of you are in
-
because I'm praying with you already about them
-
some of the battles that you face some of the thorns that are festering
-
you don't know what you're going to do with it
-
you don't know how you're going to deal with it you've been dealing with it
-
you may be on your second time praying through
-
my god I feel the holy ghost this morning just wanting to love on you
-
the lord wants you to know he's on your side he's on your side
-
heavenly father your sons and daughters are standing before you at the altar
