The Object Of The Faith

He was a great day to hero for me.

Man, if you know it was the blood of Jesus that set you free,

give Him the best praise you brought in His house.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah, if you have your Bibles, be turning with me back to the book of Jude.

The book of Jude, remember, that's Revelation,

and hang a short lift and you'll be right there.

The book of Jude.

Next Sunday, we're going to be receiving a very special offering.

We've got some needs that have arisen.

I need to pray for Brother Travis's brother, Tracy,

and their families, they lost their house this past week.

Total loss, I mean, to the ground.

And so we want to bless them and we want to reach out,

try to minister to them and help them somehow, someway. Amen?

And then there's another petition that I've been made aware of.

Brother Tony Hernandez called me the other day.

His sergeant major, I think it's one of their children,

has developed a very rare condition,

and we're looking at probably amputating some limbs.

And so we're going to assist him and see how we can help them. Amen?

Government insurance is only so good.

So just like any insurance, it's going to fall way short.

So we've got a couple needs that have been brought to our attention,

and we're going to reach out. Amen?

And we want to try to bless the best we can. Amen?

And don't forget, we've got some mission stuff coming up before long.

We've got three brethren that we're about to see in halfway around the world.

To Africa, Togo, Africa, is that right? No? Zambia. There you go.

I'll get them somewhere. Maybe they won't end up in Togo.

As they go, but we're going to send them, we're going to bless them.

We're going to have a – of course, you always raise more money

when you have food behind it.

So we're going to have a mission Sunday coming up before too long.

We're going to have a meal together. We love to eat together.

I mean, ain't nothing wrong with that, are they?

Fellowship in the body of Christ.

I've had young pastors who are struggling to get their churches growing,

and they say, well, how do you do it?

Everywhere you've pastored, your church is growing.

I said, well, number one, you can sit down.

I'm just going to read one verse anyway, and we'll get to it pretty quick.

I said, every church you've pastored has grown.

How did you do that? I said, well, number one, God was in charge.

I said, number two, I love to eat, and so I found out everybody else.

And the more you fellowship the body of Christ –

you know what I asked them? I said, well, how many fellowships have you had?

They said, well, we don't do that. I thought, well, that's your fault.

I mean, happy people are full people.

Unless we're miserable, you know.

And I'm about to get to the point of misery.

So I'm a firm believer in the fellowshiping of the body of Christ. Amen.

And when people see you happy, they say, hey, they happy over there.

Let's go see what's going on.

Amen.

The book of Jude – I want to read verse three again.

As we started last week, our little summer series here on contend for the faith.

Jude the apostle writes, beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you

of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you

and to exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith

which was once delivered unto the saints.

Father, I love you. I thank you today for your goodness and your mercy.

Lord, thank you for your word, and I thank you for the faith that we have.

And I ask the Lord, will you help us this morning to be expedient?

And Lord, that we just preach what be pleasing to you and edifying to the body.

And we leave that we leave better than we came, full of faith, encouraged in the walk.

To you be praised forever in Christ's name, the church said. Amen.

So last week, the first installment, if you will, was just simply contend for the faith.

And we looked at the faith, exactly what the faith is and what he was encouraging the saints to continue in.

This is, again, the saints in Jerusalem to continue in the faith that was once delivered.

There's not two faiths. There's not three different faiths.

There was one faith delivered, and he was asking them to continue in that faith.

He points out a few situations and issues that were going on in the church at the time.

We're not going to just kind of dig into those issues because the church today has its own issues. Amen.

But to contend for the faith that we have and this morning, the emphasis today,

I want to kind of just focus a little bit on is the object of the faith, the object of the faith.

What is the object of the faith that we have?

And I think you may some of you here might remember one of the last statements I made last Sunday morning is

the faith is based on the person and the supremacy of Jesus Christ.

Remember, we talked about there's demonic faith out there.

Devils believe. Amen. They know, but they don't serve.

There's vain faith. Amen. There's saving faith.

And there's just different measures of faith that's been given.

There's a dead faith, James says. Your faith is dead.

And if you want to see faith, I'll demonstrate my faith to you, the faith that I have in Jesus Christ,

by that being the example of the life that I live.

You may remember that we mentioned 2 Corinthians and the 13th chapter,

what Paul would write there in the fifth verse.

He instructed us to examine ourselves to see whether we even be in the faith.

You know, we have to have some self examinations as to see that we're remaining in the faith, trusting.

Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments.

So we need to examine our lives to make sure that we're still in love with Jesus.

And we do so by seeing if we're following and loving and keeping all of his commandments.

By this shall all men know, right, that your mind, that you belong to me,

that I'm with you and in you, that you have love, what? One toward another.

If your love towards your fellow man has kindly waned a little,

you might order to rediscover your first love, hello, which is Christ Jesus our Lord,

who is the object of our faith.

And we can go back through scripture and see that the object of our faith had been pointed out from earliest time

all the way to Genesis 3 in verse 15.

We hear these words, I will put enmity between you and the woman, between your seed and her seed,

and he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel.

And we see the first mention of the faith that is going to be revealed to humanity,

which is the son of the living God.

This is the enemy that has come in and destroyed, deceived, and sin has now come into the garden.

Adam and Eve have fallen and we see the pronunciation of what's going to take place on humanity,

how man's going to have to live, how man's going to have to eat,

and the punishment for that disobedience of God's Word, amen, that we should die.

And then, you know, the devil says, well, you're not dead yet,

oh, we came into this world spiritually dead and absent of the grace and the presence of God.

And we have to rediscover that, amen.

We have to find that and we have to accept that which is the faith in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah would tell us a little bit about the object of our faith in 7 and 14.

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign.

Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Emmanuel, meaning God with us.

So we see through early in Scripture, we have these prophetic utterances about the faith

that's going to be revealed to us through the Son of God, which is Jesus Christ.

He would put it this way in chapter 9, verse 6 and 7.

Under us a child is born, under us a son is given.

Somebody said, well, it's not Christmas.

Well, they've been celebrating Christmas all summer at youth camp.

It's Christmas in July, amen.

It's Christmas every Sunday for a child of God, amen.

It's Christmas every day for the child of God.

Why? For under us a child is born, under us a son is given.

And God, listen to this, the government shall be upon his shoulders

and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace.

Amen. Oh, further along Isaiah said in 11 and 10,

and in that day there shall be a root of Jesse who shall stand as a banner to the people,

for the Gentiles shall seek him and his resting place shall be glorious.

Aren't you glad this morning that the object of our faith is the glorious Son of God?

I am so glad that Paul instructed the believers of his day.

I have not seen, ear hasn't heard, neither has it entered in to the heart of man

what God has in store for those who love him.

Hallelujah. When I begin to think of the object of my faith

and the reality that Christ is the object and the person, amen,

and the supremacy of his goodness, the supremacy of his will,

and the majesty of his might and power,

I think we need to refocus again on the object of the faith.

Oh, because see, church becomes about so many things.

It comes about program. It becomes about activity.

It becomes about performance. Hello?

Oh, we've turned our churches into performance driven now.

I read a little article that kind of struck me a little bit.

I thought, well, I kind of agree with that.

It was about hopefully church hasn't become like social media,

and we're not looking for the like button to be pushed.

Amen. I don't want church to be something like a post that I read somewhere on social media.

Oh, I like the sermon today. I like the music today.

I like the temperature in the house today, or I like this or such and such.

We have turned, if we're not careful, and we will continue to turn the church

into an entertainment place, but I'm not here for entertainment value this morning.

I'm here to refocus our mind and that we earnestly contend that we be in war

and that we wrestle for and we contend for and try to take advantage of

and put an effort against the effort that is coming against us

and that we be the church of the living God today.

And we need to be reminded of why we're here to begin with.

Honey, it's not about you. It's not about me.

It's not about the temperature. It's not about the music.

It's not about the style, but it's about Jesus Christ and the he be glorified.

The object of our faith is the supremacy of Christ and Christ alone.

The Son was given. Emmanuel is among us.

And it's time the church returned and focus again to the simple fact

that your faith is solely based on the centrality of who Jesus Christ really is.

Several years ago there was a worship course that came out

and the music fades and all is passed away.

Now simply come. Simply bring a heart of worship.

I'm coming back to the heart of worship.

I think we need to get back to the heart of worship

and the heart of worship is the object of our faith.

It is the only begotten of the Father, which is Jesus Christ the righteous.

And our object, our faith, needs to return to that supremacy and that alone.

We've got so in such a culture of feel-good society.

If it doesn't feel good, then it can't be right.

Well, honey, the thing about the gospel is it doesn't always make me feel good.

Because when I stand behold and look in the mirror

and I can now only behold things kindly darkly

and I can't see fully clearly, but I do see the image of myself.

But the reflection that I'm looking for is the reflection of Christ

to emulate in this lost and dying world.

So if he is not the object of my faith and my feel-good is,

then we have averted and subverted the faith.

The object of our faith is Jesus Christ.

I've given you some Old Testament examples.

From the very beginning, from Genesis on,

we could have discovered him in a whole lot of other places. Amen.

We could have walked with Solomon through the garden and seen the rose of Sharon.

We could have walked with him in the low places and saw him as the lily of the valley.

Hallelujah. We can see him all through.

We could stand with David and hear him declare,

The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want. Amen.

We can see him all throughout scripture and take that journey.

But there is a picture in Revelation 5 that I think we need to focus

and really get a good clear understanding of the object of our faith.

Look what John the Revelator begins to pen in verse 1 of chapter 5.

John says, And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne

a book written within and on the backside sealed with seven seals.

And I saw a strong angel. I have let my mind ponder this for two days.

John said, I saw a strong angel.

And he goes further proclaiming with a loud voice,

Who is worthy to open the book and to loose the seals thereof.

And no man in heaven nor in earth nor under the earth was able to open the book,

neither to look therein, let alone open.

It wasn't even worthy to look, deserving to look, weighty enough to look.

And one of the, and I wept much, he said,

because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book,

neither to look thereon.

And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not, behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah.

The root of David hath prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seals thereof.

There's no greater image than what John in this book of Revelation

will give us to see and behold and to take in the object of our faith.

When we begin to think about this simple book,

Satan has done his best to cover and to cloud

and to put a shroud around the understanding of the book of Revelation.

For he knows that it's in this book that his destiny is described.

Why? Because somewhere in heaven there's an angel polishing a chain.

Hallelujah.

And the last thing he wants the church to be reminded of is there's an angel with one job

and that's to polish a chain that'll bind him for a thousand years.

Hallelujah. He knows his end. He knows his destiny.

The key to understanding this book is found in chapter one, verse 19,

where John is instructed to write these words.

Those things with thou hast seen, the things which are and the things which shall be hereafter.

When you think about it, break it down this way.

Chapter one describes the glory of God or the things that John had seen.

I think it's key that we note verse 10 and chapter one as well.

When John would declare, I was in the spirit on the Lord's day,

my God, there's something about coming prayed up. Amen.

I said there's something about coming to church ready in the spirit already,

not waiting for the singers to sing you there. Amen.

Not waiting for me, the preacher, to preach you there.

But you come in ready. You come in in the spirit already.

Why, you've prayed on Saturday. You've prayed on Friday.

You've made your mind up that you're coming to the corporate house of worship.

Isn't that what the sign declares Sunday morning worship at 10.45 a.m.

So why do we do any other thing when we get here other than worship?

Worship is the supremacy of our purpose and the supremacy of our faith.

That is that we glorify who John saw.

John said, I was in the spirit on the Lord's day and I heard something behind me.

And he said, when I turned to look, here is what I saw.

I saw him standing there. His hair was white like wool.

His eyes like a flame of fire. Oh, my Lord, he had this vesture on,

white and long, and his feet looked as though it was polished brass.

And his voice sounded like the thunder of rushing many waters.

John said, that's what I saw on that day.

And here he begins to give us this unveiling of the will of God.

Chapters two and three revealed us the grace of God.

As it's seen as he sends this dispatch of letters to the churches.

Chapter four, we have the beginning and making its way through the 22nd chapter.

We see the governor, God, as it's going to be established upon the earth.

We see the throne. We hear worship.

We read the descriptions of the tribulation that's coming upon the face of the earth.

It's coming. Tribulation is coming.

You think it's rough now, you just wait. My plan is not to be here to see it.

Chapter four and five, John's invited to come up hither.

Whoo, why, there's a door open to him to come up hither.

He sees the glorious throne and hears the thunderous worship.

As John looks at the right hand of God, he notices in his hand a book.

This book is actually a scroll that is rolled up, and I love the description that John saw it with some detail.

He said it was written on both sides, on the front and the back.

But if the scroll is rolled up and it's sealed, all he could see was probably the edges around the top and the outside covering.

But he realized that it wasn't blank. It was written on front and back. What a copy, amen.

John's beginning to see this book in the hand of God, he who's sitting on the throne.

When we think about this scroll, if you will, the book is rolled up and it's sealed with this wax and seal of the king.

Hallelujah. It's sealed with that wax and seal. And if you will, it's a seven chapter discourse.

You roll out one chapter before you go to chapter two. You break the seal and you unroll.

You roll this way and you unroll this way. For Hebrew probably would be written from left to right.

It's right to left. You read backwards. Amen. If it's in the ancient language, who knows, but it's in the language of God.

I don't know how it's written. It could be read up and down or horizontally. It makes no difference.

But it is written on front and back and it's opened and the chapters are revealed upon the earth.

But what we're finding is John is seeing he sees this strong angel. That brought attention to me.

When I read that, he saw a strong. What does a strong angel look like? I mean, I've been trying to picture in my mind.

They all will look pretty strong to me and angel. You know, what's a strong in my mind?

I can see this brother, my figure stand up, bro.

Kind of flex just a little. You go ahead. It's all right. I know. I mean, you work that hard.

That's a strong looking man. Amen.

And if I see him, I think that boy stout, no matter where I see brother, my cat, I will say he stout.

That's a strong man.

Especially if I'm still looking in that mirror back at my chunky self and you ain't.

So maybe that's what John said. He said, I'm seeing a strong angel and the strong angel has a message.

I'm seeing this. I don't know what he is. It could be could have been Michael, the warring angel.

Got to be stout, got to be tough looking. Something triggered John's imagination.

As he wrote, I saw a strong angel because I think what it begins to reveal is the importance of the declaration that he's making.

He says, who is worthy? We're looking for someone worthy to take. Not just open it first.

You got to get it out of his hand. My God, this excites me. I talked about the object of our faith.

It's in the right hand of he who's sitting on the throne.

He's holding it, got a grip in it and a strong angel who evidently didn't have enough nerve to give it a try.

I'm thinking John's seeing this guy. Well, why don't you get it? You look stout to me. Right?

He said, but what he's saying is who is worthy? Looking for somebody worthy.

We're looking for one worthy who is able to get a hold and take hold of the book.

When we begin to think about this illustration of the strong angel now making that declaration,

who is worthy to open the book and to loose the chapters or the seals or the will or the plan that is written upon the face of the earth?

Obviously, it's immediate response to John that no one was able, not even the strong angel.

Why? Because John melts in tears. All we see is a weeping prophet and he's beginning to weep. Why?

Because the declaration is this. There's not one on the earth. There's not one in heaven.

There's not one under the earth that is worthy, who is deserving, who is weighty or important,

who carries the demeanor to go and take the book on the earth, in the earth, under the earth, in heaven or any other place.

So John is now wondering, are we going to get to see what is written in the book?

Hallelujah, my Lord. The object of our faith is about to make a glorious, grander appearance.

He whose hair's like white and his eyes like fire and his voice like a thunder, he's about to approach.

He's about to come on. And I love it. John said there was an elder who was in the room and he said,

hey, stop your squalling, son, because there's one who has been found worthy.

There is one who is declared worthy. John had already seen the splendor of Christ in the first chapter.

He'd already written of he who was amongst the candlesticks in chapter two and three and everything building up to a crescendo.

Amen. John is weeping, but he hears an encouraging word.

One's been found.

One has been found. Weep not.

Behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah.

Hey, hath prevailed, hath prevailed. There was a war going on somewhere.

Don't make me preach on that now.

There was a war going on somewhere. There was conflict going on somewhere.

Weep not, John, because the lion of the tribe of Judah hath prevailed.

Amen. Think about it.

Then John lifts his head to see the Lamb of God as he's now beholding in the throne room of the Father.

John lifts it and he sees the Lamb of God walk over and take the scroll.

It wasn't a tug of war.

It wasn't a war of wheels.

He walks over and the Father's hand simply opens as the lion of the tribe of Judah,

the only begotten of the Father, the Son, who was promised, the one who would come through the virgin.

Emmanuel, meaning God, was with us. He took hold of the scroll.

Don't you be weeping anymore, John, because the lion is here.

Hallelujah, the object of your faith has stepped in and he stepped up and he takes hold of the scroll.

I can see him now. Take the scroll and just hold it up.

Everybody look. I got it.

I have prevailed. None worthy on the earth.

Oh, there's been many that have tried. Amen.

The deficiency of civilization is now on display.

I think we probably, oh, Lord, you know, I almost said we saw the deficiency of humanity the other night on TV.

In full display. And two rare specimens.

I don't care if you're a Democrat, demon crad or whatever, Republic of who? It doesn't make me no difference.

I'm like somebody else. They said three hundred and thirty three million people in the continental United States.

And that's the best we can put up there.

Kind of makes you wonder about the rest of us, doesn't it?

Civilization has made its attempts at conquering the earth. Genghis Khan made his effort.

Alexander the Great made his effort. All Caesars made their efforts.

Napoleon made his effort. Hitler made his effort. Stalin, all these made their efforts.

But they all fell short. Why? Because there was none worthy. Amen.

To take the title deed of the earth. I think of Jeremiah as he's been given that instruction before they are taking into captivity.

Going to be there 70 years. You remember God spoke to him and said, I want you to go buy a piece of property, get the deed, roll it up and cover it up and hide it because you're going to need it one day.

My, my, my, my. The title deed to the earth and the will and the plan of God at the right hand of the father in a scroll written on both sides.

And there's none in humanity who has ever nor will ever be worthy enough. Amen.

Because see, we are created and he's begotten. My God in heaven. Hey, the object of our faith.

Y'all OK?

Civilization is falling short. None is worthy. No hero of any generation.

No political figure. No matter how great.

They may be. Not even the biblical patriarchs. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, not Solomon, not David, not Isaiah.

Ezekiel, none. None of the apostles, not Paul, Peter, John, James, Jude, none.

Worthy.

The question was not who's willing.

But who's worthy?

All those others that I've told you about trying to conquer the earth were willing.

It was their desire to take the earth in control, but it wasn't God's will because they were not worthy.

None were found worthy. John, lift up your head.

But now the lion of the tribe of Judah, the conqueror of all ages, he has prevailed.

So we see the triumphant worthiness of the object of our faith.

The power of the lamb. We don't think of lambs being very powerful.

But this lamb, the lamb of God, which takes away the sins of the world, the object of our faith, metamorphs into the lion.

Hallelujah.

The power is him, the lion, the root, the root of David.

We see listed as you read further the seven horns which will display and give us insight to his omnipotence.

He's all powerful.

You see the seven eyes of knowledge and all the wisdom.

We see him in his omniscience. He's all knowing.

He's all places omnipresent.

When we think about the lamb's privilege, it was his purpose and privilege to take the book.

There was none other worthy other than he.

None.

Revelation 4 and 11 says thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for thou hast created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Remember the word of John in that first letter.

In the beginning was the word, the word was God, the word was with God, and the word was the same in the beginning with God.

And all things were made by him. Listen.

And without him was not anything made that was made.

I'm saying Colossians 1 16 for by him were all things created.

Now you see why he's the only one worthy for by him.

All things were created that are in heaven, that are in earth, visible, invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions, principalities, powers.

All things were created by him and for him.

That's the object of our faith.

Jesus.

So when folks start talking about church and they begin to lay out everything that's going on there, ask them if Christ is the object of that said faith.

Had a person tell me not too long ago they were attending a particular place because of the concert like atmosphere.

Yeah, that's what they say.

I'm sitting here holding it in about the bus.

You know, I'm thinking.

I doubt if anybody leaving home wills will say that.

I thought that ain't what they said about why they come in out here.

So young person, I really wanted to.

I really want to tell them that's not the object of their faith, nor the purpose of their attendance and worship.

That's that's that's not why.

That's not the the concert like atmosphere is not the object of the faith, nor the purpose of our gathering.

I got to be careful.

I'll get off on a tangent.

We don't need to go there.

Because he has prevailed.

He is the conqueror.

That elder said to John, weep not the lamb, the lion, the root of David.

Have prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seals are of Colossians two fifteen and having spoiled principalities,

triumphing over them in it, made a show of them openly try up thing.

He meant over them.

And it when did that take place before he ascended according to Ephesians four, eleven and twelve before he ascended?

He first descended into the lower parts of the earth.

And from there he took captivity captive.

Huh?

For millennia, Satan had kept the souls of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

One in the place of torment, the other in the place called paradise.

But Jesus, you know, the object of our faith.

Before after the crucifixion, the resurrection, before he ascended, he first went and got his folk.

Hello.

And that wasn't all he done when he went down there.

That wasn't the sole purpose of his going.

He went through life over every power and principality.

He took the keys to death, hell and the grave.

And every devil that had enough ignorance to stand up in front of him, he made a show.

You saw that first, no, it might not be the first one.

It's one of those adventure, Marvel films where Loki is trying to take over the earth.

You know, he's taking over and the hook, huh, up in Stark Tower.

You remember that scene?

Loki says, who do you think you are? I am a god.

Hulk grabs him by the ankle and just begins to thump him off the floor.

Just boom, just beat a hole in the floor with him.

And if you listen good, you can hear Hulk say, puny god.

In my mind, I can see Jesus prevailing,

making an open spoil over the devil and all of his minions in a like fashion.

Puny devil, hallelujah, making a spoil, taking authority, taking every captive with him.

The object of the faith.

I get myself happy sometimes.

Sometimes it's a challenge to preach some of you happy,

but I can preach my own self happy pretty quick because I know the object of my faith.

And when I see stupid stuff like that on TV, I thought, oh, that could be the reality.

Puny God as he's thumping him off the floor.

That's going to happen one of these days for you and I to witness.

I want a front row seat at the coronation of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

I want a front row seat.

I know what he's done against me. I know what he brings against my family.

I can imagine what he's coming against you and your family with.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a front row ticket to the coronation of the King

and to see the enemy of our soul bow prostrate before him and confess him as Lord.

Now, you take and put in perspective whatever he's doing against you that a strong angel didn't do it.

But the object of your faith can enter your situation.

Take that devil that's bugging you by the ankle and thump him off the floor and you resist him and he will flee from you.

Why? Because you draw an eye into him and he draws an eye into you.

Hallelujah.

The lamb is conquered.

He's the only one worthy.

Romans 5.19 for us by one man's disobedience.

Many were made sinners so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

And there's only one that can do that.

Huh? It's not Confucius.

I mean, you'd figure you'd run out of cookies by now.

He didn't have that much to say.

No Alibaba.

No Mohammed.

Or any elevated, created being.

But there's one by one.

Well, which one is the object of your faith?

The object of the faith.

Jesus, the only begotten, right?

The lamb conquered.

He was wounded for our transgressions.

Something that kindly stuck out in that story as well.

As we read that account, where did the lamb come from?

John is so overwhelmed by the throne room.

He sees he who's seated on it.

Being attentive to so much detail, he sees the book in his hand

that had to wear withal to see that it was written on both sides and it had seals.

Somehow he missed the lamb.

He was in the midst.

The call wasn't for him to come across the other spans of eternity.

He was right there.

He was right there the whole time.

Isn't it amazing how that when some things come against us,

we see the detail of all that's going on and we fail to see him standing right in the midst.

Somehow John, John missed him standing.

He was there the whole time.

Isn't that what the old songwriter said?

He was there the whole time.

Waiting patiently in line.

He was there. Jesus is there.

He was in the midst of the throne.

We weren't waiting for him.

It was waiting so that all could see the declaration of the call.

There was only one worthy.

So if church and worship and your belief and trust in Christ is about any other thing than he being the object of it all.

Re-evaluate. Repurpose your purpose and see him in the midst.

If you've seen everything but him, you need to wipe out your vision and see him.

Because he is worthy.

And then John gives us that insight to all of heaven and how loud it got.

There's going to be some folks that's going to need some good hearing healing before they get to heaven.

I get a little too loud for some folk.

Heaven's going to get real uncomfortable in worship time.

John said it was so loud. I don't know how to describe it.

In Revelation 19, he says there's this this offering being made up.

It's hallelujah to the lamb.

Hallelujah to the lamb.

Worthy is the lamb.

Stand with me this morning.

The object of our faith.

Is the one who has authority.

The one who made a show.

The victorious one.

Right.

Not defeated.

He was crucified. We didn't stay there.

Told you a few weeks ago that was that was the nuance of the mission.

It was necessary.

I mean, you can't resurrect unless they put you in a tomb.

Dying wasn't the whole plan. It was the resurrecting part.

That was the whole emphasis of Calvary was the resurrection.

He was in. His price had to be played.

His his blood had to be spilt.

But it's all about that raising from the dead.

What did Paul say for if Christ be not risen, then is our faith what?

He's not dead. He's alive.

But he has.

My purpose this morning is just been to try to get you to see him just a little bit.

Just to draw our focus back to the object of our faith.

Everything that's going on in the peripheral.

John didn't see him until he stepped out to take the scroll.

But he was there the whole time.

He was in the midst right in the middle.

He was there.

So.

If you need a touch, not from a strong angel.

But from the object of your faith, because there's stuff going on all around you.

How many times have we been looking for something and you couldn't see it for looking?

Couldn't find it for looking.

And about the night time you go back to the probably the nearly first or second place you thought it was there it lays.

Because you saw everything.

But what you went after.

Children are the world's worst. I remember dad sending me for stuff.

Will be under you if you didn't find it.

You didn't want pops to have to go get it.

When he explained to you right where it was at.

He's in the midst of your mess.

If you just need a reminder that this morning heads about all over the house.

If you need a touch this morning, just make your way down.

You need a healing touch. He's your healer.

A delivering touch. He is the deliverer.

A resurgence of hope.

He is our hope.

It's been chaos around.

Pastor, it's been chaos.

Mighty God.

He is the worthy one.

He is the worthy one.
