  1. Several months ago, the Lord, you can be seated

  2. for just a moment. The Lord laid Brother David

  3. on my heart for this particular day. Veterans

  4. Day is coming up. And I'd like to honor those

  5. who have served and maintained, stood on guard

  6. and stood their post. Ready, willing, at a moment's

  7. notice, to protect us if necessary. Amen? So

  8. if you're in this house today and you've served

  9. in the military in any branch, would you just

  10. stand and let us honor you this morning? Amen.

  11. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for your service.

  12. We invite you to eat lunch. We have a wonderful

  13. meal prepared for you. We invite you to stay

  14. and join us. You say, well, this is my first

  15. time. This is the best time then. If it's your

  16. first visit, you come on the right day. You get

  17. to have lunch. We want you to stay with us. But

  18. the Lord put Brother David on my heart for this

  19. particular service this morning. I don't know

  20. of a more humble individual than the man that's

  21. coming to speak for us this morning and to share

  22. whatever it is the Lord's laid on his heart.

  23. I know it's burning very deeply and very intently.

  24. And he's going to deliver what the Lord laid

  25. on his soul this morning. Would you make Brother

  26. David O 'Boyle welcome this morning? Thank you,

  27. Pastor. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yep, take

  28. it. Take it. It's my ADHD that comes out, and

  29. I got to have my hands. And so when I found out

  30. we had a speaker, and I was looking at Brother

  31. Randy's mic, but I also want to give a special

  32. thanks to Pastor Brian for working with me and

  33. helping me on all this stuff. Because I got to

  34. have visuals. That's just how I roll. But first

  35. of all, let me say that I'm absolutely, I'm honored.

  36. I'm so honored. And I just saw you, brother,

  37. obviously. I wasn't nervous until I started seeing

  38. everybody in here. I think that's you, Corey.

  39. Corey's actually going through the Tennessee

  40. State Trooper Academy. He's in week 12 now. So

  41. thank you, sir, for watching. What you do. I

  42. really didn't think y 'all would show up. That's

  43. why I wasn't really nervous. But I'm totally

  44. honored. And I absolutely do take this opportunity

  45. very serious. And because when you're behind

  46. the pulpit, there's pressure. Because I want

  47. to honor God more than impress anybody else in

  48. here. And that's the focus that I want to have.

  49. So I'm totally honored, Pastor. Thank you. When

  50. Pastor called me and asked me to speak, I originally

  51. told him no. I said, sir, we got retired chaplains

  52. in here. We got folks that is just more qualified

  53. than me. And I said, so I'd appreciate if you

  54. asked them. So I had my Moses moment, right,

  55. where I, but I can't speak good. I'm not that

  56. good. But Pastor's got a sneaky way of really

  57. bringing you into. He said, well, I think it's

  58. funny God didn't put them on my heart. I said,

  59. well, roger that. Yes, sir. But I am honored

  60. that I'm here and I got my prayer cloth. I'm

  61. going to put it right there. But I'm honored.

  62. I'm actually honored, too, to have my friends

  63. and family, Pastor Michael and his wife. You

  64. guys mean a lot to me. His daddy married me and

  65. Nikki, so it's an honor. have y 'all here and

  66. my in -laws and family and I just, I'm honored

  67. and I'm glad to have my mama. Thanks for being

  68. here, mom. If there's any amens, I know it's

  69. going to get mama, so that's okay. That's why

  70. I called her and said, you got to be there in

  71. case I don't get one. But also, I'm also honored

  72. to be among my heroes. One of them I definitely

  73. want to call out is Sergeant First Class Moore.

  74. He is a decorated combat veteran of Operation

  75. Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom. Would

  76. you stand, brother? Would you stand, brother?

  77. Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. The Sarge is

  78. my motivation at the gym. When I don't think

  79. I got one more, he comes running around. I'm

  80. like, oh, Lord, here comes Sarge. You better

  81. get another rep, bro. But I also want to honor

  82. Master Sergeant. Thank you, sir, for being here.

  83. Your service to our country, and thank you so

  84. much, brother. It's an honor. I also want to

  85. call out, I call him my Sergeant Major, John.

  86. Where's Sergeant Major John at? There he is.

  87. Go ahead and stand, brother. Thank you so much,

  88. sir. Yes. Thank you, brother. Thank you, brother.

  89. So it's just an honor to be amongst these men

  90. that I call my heroes. And it's just such a privilege.

  91. And if it wasn't for these heroes who are here,

  92. and there's some family members who have sons

  93. or daughters that are out there, I thank you

  94. because... I know what it was like to see my

  95. son go off on some training. It's motivating,

  96. but it hurts. But I also know there's family

  97. members in here who's lost loved ones that served

  98. our country. So thank you so much for what you

  99. do. And because if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't

  100. have the opportunity to live free, to speak free,

  101. and to gather free. So I do honor that. Thank

  102. you so much. So how do I show? How do I show

  103. respect for the Urah? And also, how do I honor

  104. the spiritual side of the hallelujah part? That's

  105. where I was struggling, trying to figure out

  106. how do I honor the day? How do I honor what it

  107. stands for, what it represents? But also, how

  108. do I feed the sheep, if you will? So with that

  109. said, I would ask that you would stand for the

  110. reading of the word of God. These two scriptures

  111. out of 2 Timothy and then out of Ephesians, this

  112. will be sort of the catalyst for our text today

  113. and how we're going to roll here. So in 2 Timothy

    2 Timothy 2 chapter mention

  114. chapter 2, 1 through 4 says, Therefore, my son,

  115. be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus,

  116. and the things that thou hast heard of me among

  117. many witnesses. The same commit thou to faithful

  118. men. Who shall be able to teach others also?

  119. Thou therefore endure hardness. Everybody say

  120. endure. Endure. You're going to learn that word

  121. today. As a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No

  122. man engaged. in warfare, entangles himself with

  123. the affairs of this life that he may please him

  124. who hath chosen him to be a good soldier. Let

  125. me jump over here to Ephesians 6 .12, something

  126. that we're all familiar with. We've all been

  127. taught it. We've all been preached to at it.

  128. We've all heard it in some way, shape, or form.

  129. But it is in line with today, and it says this.

  130. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but

  131. against principalities, against powers, against

  132. the rulers of darkness of this world, against

  133. spiritual wickedness in high places. Now I was

  134. raised up on the word wrestle when wrestling

  135. was real. Not this fake stuff that we got today,

  136. but when wrestling used to be real. But in wrestling,

  137. The Greek word for wrestle is pele, and it means

  138. to battle. We're in a battle. As pastor says,

  139. you pray for me, and I'll pray for you, but today

  140. I'm going to ask you to pray for me, and I'm

  141. going to pray for me. Gracious Heavenly Father,

  142. Lord, I love you, and I thank you. It is such

  143. an honor, God, Lord, to be able to read your

  144. word today. And Father, I pray right now, Lord,

  145. as the enemy is now encircling around people's

  146. hearts and people's minds, and they're being

  147. reminded today of the battle that they're in,

  148. what they're wrestling with, Father God. And

  149. I pray in the mighty, mighty name of God, my

  150. Savior, Jesus Christ, that I bind you, Satan,

  151. into the authority. of the blood of Jesus Christ.

  152. I don't have that authority, but that same spirit

  153. that raised Jesus from the dead is the same spirit

  154. that resides in me today. And it's with that

  155. power, it's with that authority that I don't

  156. boast, but I proclaim the Holy Spirit settles

  157. itself upon the house today and that we get reminded

  158. that we are Christian warriors. We are in a battle.

  159. And I pray, Father God, Lord, that whatever battle

  160. it is today, it will be broken by the blood of

  161. Jesus Christ. It's in the mighty name of Jesus

  162. I pray these things. And the whole church says

  163. amen. And you may be seated. And, yes, I did

  164. ask Scott to stay up in here. I didn't know I

  165. was going to get serrated the whole time. But

  166. that's good. I like it, brother. It's more of

  167. a comfort for me. And I got my brother and my

  168. sister as backup. So if anybody charges the stage.

  169. It's on. They got you. They got me. But I want

  170. to remind the church today as it's no surprise,

  171. just as military members prepare to fight for

  172. battle, there is absolutely no difference with

  173. each and every person in this house today that

  174. we're in a battle. But hear me, you are the victor.

  175. You are. The victor. If you're unsure of your

  176. salvation today and you're unsure that if you

  177. was to die today and you stood before God Almighty,

  178. are you sure? That wasn't in the note, but your

  179. salvation is more important to me than impressing

  180. anybody in this house today. So I beg you, if

  181. you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, it's

  182. your day. Because when you step into heaven,

  183. you're going to hear only one of two statements.

  184. Welcome in thou good and faithful servant. Or

  185. you're going to hear what I think are the most

  186. damaging, scariest 11 words in the Bible. Depart

  187. from me, you worker of iniquity. I never knew

  188. you. What are you going to hear? I want you to

  189. be thinking about your salvation today. And for

  190. the Christian warriors out there, I want to try

  191. to speak a little bit about the Christian mindset,

  192. that warrior ethos that all military members

  193. know what I'm talking about. And I'm going to

  194. cover some of those, but I also want to give

  195. honor to my flag. This flag here, there is a

  196. rich history of sacrifice under the banner of

  197. this flag. I get it. I served the flag. I fought

  198. for the flag. I see brothers. Go down from this

  199. flag. I've seen the coffins draped with this

  200. flag. So there's something special about this

  201. flag that just, when I hear the star -spangled

  202. banner done right, I can't help but get a little

  203. moist in my eyes because of the respect that

  204. I have for this flag, the history of this flag.

  205. I visited Fort McHenry, and I listened to the

  206. history of Francis Scott Key, wrote the song,

  207. and then how the flag was inspired and how this

  208. flag is withstood. And yes, we live in the most

  209. messed up country right now, but we're still

  210. free. It's messed up, but thank God we're still

  211. free because we still have a remnant. There's

  212. a remnant that's holding this country together,

  213. and this remnant is in this house today. But

  214. as much honor and respect as I want to bring

  215. today to this flag and what it stands for, the

  216. same holds true for the Christian flag. And there's

  217. pledges to each flag. We all know the pledge.

  218. We've said it. We've restated it. It used to

  219. be a staple in our school systems, which that

  220. has died out now. But it's the ethos of the flag

  221. that I want to honor today, but it's also the

  222. Christian flag that I also want to bring honor

  223. to as well today. We all know the Pledge of Allegiance.

  224. I would remind you to learn the Pledge of Allegiance

  225. to the Christian flag. It's actually a lost heart,

  226. if you will. But I want to remind you today about

  227. a Christian ethos, a warrior mindset. So what

  228. is a warrior? What is a warrior? A warrior means

  229. someone who's courageous. They're disciplined

  230. in battle. They demonstrate great vigor. They

  231. demonstrate courage and determination in any

  232. struggle. A warrior embodies qualities like...

  233. Bravery, persistence, honor, integrity. A warrior

  234. will defend the truth. A warrior will defend

  235. principles. A warrior will defend their faith.

  236. And a warrior will defend their family. And a

  237. warrior will defend their community. It's in

  238. line with what we all know as a... prayer warrior.

  239. What's a prayer warrior? It's a lost art. But

  240. it's somebody that intercedes on the behalf of

  241. others during spiritual battles. They encourage

  242. you through prayers. Anybody ever heard somebody

  243. pray and say, I wish I could pray like that?

  244. I used to listen to my papa and I would just

  245. be in awe of his prayer because it's like heaven

  246. stood still. And I thought, how did you do that?

  247. He said, it's easy, son. You got to pray. You

  248. want to be a prayer warrior? Pray. Prayer is

  249. declining in the church. At a recent two Christian

  250. organizational conventions, it was asked, do

  251. you pray daily? Only 32 % said they do. They

  252. asked if they pray once a week. This is at Christian

  253. organization conventions. 44 % said they only

  254. pray weekly. You're not going to be a Christian

  255. warrior if your prayer life's weak, folks. What's

  256. an ethos? I'll keep that short and sweet. Ethos

  257. is Greek for character. It's Greek for character.

  258. What is character? It's one's habits. and actions

  259. and your responses to life. So there's the warrior

  260. ethos principle. The soldier in 2 Timothy 2,

  261. 1 -4 compares the Christian life to military

  262. service. If you're a Christian, a true Christian,

  263. then you're a soldier in battle. It requires

  264. the need for discipline, single -minded focus,

  265. endurance through hardship. Because we are to

  266. please the commanding officer, Jesus Christ.

  267. A military warrior avoids the distractions of

  268. the civilian life so they can focus on the battle.

  269. And that's exactly the same as parallel. And

  270. that's what Paul is saying. And he says, the

  271. affairs of this life, Paul puts it and he says,

  272. Avoid what's going on in this world. Endure the

  273. battle. Now, am I a Christian warrior, David?

  274. Well, if somebody walked in here right now in

  275. full, we call it dress blues. We call it service

  276. dress uniform. If somebody walked in right now

  277. decorated in their class A service dress uniform.

  278. There's an automatic respect there. There's a

  279. little bit of an awe when they're here and they're

  280. standing. You see them out in public. You see

  281. commitment. You see loyalty. You see discipline.

  282. You see identification. You see identification

  283. and authority and distinction. You see the rank.

  284. You see the hash marks. You see the medals. You

  285. see the ribbons. You see the pins. You see the

  286. campaign medals and you see the stripes. But

  287. you also as a Christian are to be in uniform.

  288. There must be a bearing and a clothing about

  289. you as a Christian warrior. So are the traits.

  290. So you may not have all the battle dress uniform

  291. stuff, but do people see you in your Christian

  292. uniform? So are the traits of what a Christian

  293. warrior looks like and acts like and carries

  294. him or herself like. In John 13, 34, 35, Jesus

  295. makes it clear of how people will know if you're

  296. a Christian warrior. And it says this, a new

  297. commandment I give you that ye love one another

  298. just as I have loved you, you also are to love

  299. one another. By this, all people. will know you

  300. are my disciple if you have love for one another.

  301. Now, I want to make sure you're crystal clear

  302. that Jesus is love and we preach love, but I

  303. want to make sure that as a church, our biblical

  304. truth is understood that love does not mean we

  305. accept sin. Love means that we address sin from

  306. a biblical perspective. perspective. The world

  307. has taken the word love and twisted it to where

  308. we now are looked at as bigots and racist and

  309. narrow -minded folks. But we love you because

  310. we tell you the truth. Because as I mentioned

  311. earlier, I know there's a soul in here that's

  312. struggling and you got to make that decision.

  313. So folks, do people know if you're in service

  314. to him? I know you're in the service by your

  315. uniform, by your standards, how you carry yourself.

  316. But listen, does the world know that you're in

  317. his service? By your testimony, by your language,

  318. by your walk, by your prayer life. By your praying

  319. life, do they see Jesus in you? Check this out.

  320. This has got to be one of the coolest stories

  321. in the Bible. And it's out of Acts chapter 19.

    Acts 19 chapter mention

  322. There's these seven dudes. Their daddy is named

  323. Sceva. And they're following Paul. They're following

  324. Paul all around. And here's my point. Even the

  325. demons know if you're not a Christian. They know.

  326. They know. So what's going on in Acts chapter

    Acts 19 chapter mention

  327. 19? And it says this in 11. Now God worked unusual

  328. miracles by the hands of Paul so that even handkerchiefs

  329. and aprons were brought from his body to the

  330. sick and the disease left them and evil spirits

  331. went out of them. A .K .A. the prayer cloths.

  332. I had somebody ask me, what do you guys do with

  333. that cloth? It was an honor to tell them. But

  334. it says on, then some of the traveling Jewish

  335. exorcists took it upon themselves to call the

  336. name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil

  337. spirits, saying, we exorcise you by Jesus, whom

  338. Paul preaches. And also there were seven sons

  339. of Sceva. Now, Sceva was a Jewish priest who

  340. did so. These seven sons thought, well, my daddy's

  341. a four -star general, and they're making money

  342. here, so let's go out and start casting out demons,

  343. right? This ought to be embarrassing. And the

  344. evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know,

  345. Paul I know, but who are you? Even the demons

  346. know if you got it or not. They know. That would

  347. have freaked me out. That a demon says, yeah,

  348. I know Jesus for sure, Paul. I got it. But dude,

  349. who are you? And immediately the evil spirit

  350. jumps out of the man, puts a WWF beat down on

  351. these boys. Matter of fact, so much of a beat

  352. down, they left Buck naked and wounded and scarred.

  353. Because the demons knew, he ain't no warrior.

  354. He ain't no warrior. Nah, he comes to church

  355. on Sunday. He puts on the show. He'll raise his

  356. hand. He'll sing a hallelujah. He'll do his thing,

  357. but boy, I got him Sunday night through Saturday

  358. night, and he's nothing. He's nothing. So are

  359. you truly a Christian warrior? It doesn't matter

  360. who your daddy is on here on earth. It doesn't

  361. matter if you were raised in church. It doesn't

  362. matter what religion you are or what you claim.

  363. It's 100 % about a relationship with him. That's

  364. all it is. Do you have a relationship with him?

  365. That is a Christian warrior, folks. Listen, listen.

  366. We are in a war. Wake up, church. Quit patty

  367. -caking around. We are in a war. If you're a

  368. blood -bought man, woman of God, congrats. You're

  369. in a war. How many here have a prayer request

  370. today in need? Seriously, how many have a need,

  371. a prayer request, something going on? If you

  372. didn't raise your hand, I'm going to call it.

  373. I won't call it that word, but you're lying.

  374. We all have a need. We all have a request. We

  375. all are in a battle. We all need an intervention.

  376. We're all in a struggle. There you go. Battle

  377. up, Christian. You're in a war. But you got to

  378. read the book because we win, we win, we win,

  379. and we win. Where did this battle begin, David?

  380. Let me tell you, it didn't start in the garden.

  381. The battle didn't start in the garden. Sin didn't

  382. start in the garden. You know where it started?

  383. Heaven. Started in heaven. Out of the leagues

  384. of angels, there's three distinct angels. You

  385. got Michael, who's the angel of war. Gabriel,

  386. who's the angel of communication, the message

  387. deliverer, and you got Lucifer. Lucifer was responsible

  388. for what? Worship. Loves music. As a matter of

  389. fact, he still loves music to this day. Let that

  390. sink in. Lucifer was a unique angel. He had beauty.

  391. He had talent. He had high status. He had radiance.

  392. He began to see himself as God. He began to go

  393. to one -third of the angels and began to whisper

  394. in their ears, that should be me. Of course,

  395. God knows this. He sees this. And God Almighty

  396. says, I saw Satan cast out of heaven like lightning

  397. to earth, and his tail, according to Isaiah and

  398. Revelation, took one -third of the angels with

  399. him. And guess where they're at? They're here.

  400. They're here on this earth. These demons today

  401. are whispering in your ears, you're a failure.

  402. These are demons today listening to your fussing,

  403. your cussing, your moaning. You're groaning.

  404. These are the demons today causing confusion

  405. in the skies. These are the demons today causing

  406. Sister Nay -Nay and Brother No -No to get all

  407. up into your skin. These are the demons that

  408. whisper in your ear when you go to your psychic

  409. and you start hearing what I call prophelying.

  410. These are the demons today whispering, don't

  411. forgive them. That brother, that sister, that

  412. family member, if you forgive them or ask for

  413. forgiveness, you're weak. You're weak. And on

  414. that note, I think forgiveness is the hardest

  415. thing for a Christian to do. It's hard. And we

  416. all got some stories about that hard. But as

  417. pastor calls it, these nymphs of hell. will keep

  418. you back. They'll keep you frustrated. They'll

  419. keep you angry. And worst of all, they'll keep

  420. you lukewarm. Because lukewarm, Jesus says, I

  421. will. That's a rejection, folks. Either you're

  422. in or you're out. Either you're a Christian warrior

  423. pressing through the fight or you're just standing

  424. back, letting the enemy lie. These one -third

  425. demonic angels and their commander, they're here

  426. on this earth warring against your home, warring

  427. against your family, warring against yourself,

  428. warring against your faith. So wake up, warriors.

  429. We're in a war. Well, I don't feel like I'm in

  430. a war. Oh, just wait. You will be. Or for most

  431. of us, we are now. You mean I've got to go through

  432. some tough times as a Christian? I can't name

  433. it. I can't claim it. There's no immediate health.

  434. There's no immediate wealth. Free of charge?

  435. No, sir, no, ma 'am. John 16, 33 says, these

  436. things have I spoken to you, that in me you may

  437. have peace, but in this world ye shall have tribulation.

  438. But be of good cheer. I've overcome it. It's

  439. all good, warriors. It's all good. It's all good.

  440. Now, I want to share this because this may bring

  441. back a little PTSD for some of us. But in boot

  442. camp, it's meant to change you. It's meant to

  443. make you uncomfortable. It's to forge out weakness.

  444. It develops you physically. It develops you.

  445. to have a resilience in your life. It pushes

  446. recruits to their limits through challenging

  447. and stressful situations. It builds confidence

  448. and character. You are taught a warrior ethos

  449. that stands out from the rest of the civilian

  450. world. You're different. You're different. You

  451. learn to act. and be a part of a team. It teaches

  452. recruits to work as a cohesive unit, relying

  453. on each other to succeed and instilling a do

  454. or die attitude to mission accomplishment. You

  455. are taught a warrior ethos, principles of conduct,

  456. self -bearing, and a war victory mindset. The

  457. same holds true for the Christian warrior. Now

  458. hear me. Listen. When God wants to make a man

  459. spiritually powerful, he doesn't crown you first.

  460. He breaks you. Did you hear me? Being a Christian

  461. warrior is not easy. You're going to go through

  462. stuff. But when you're going through that stuff,

  463. he's preparing your crown. You are either going

  464. through a forge, been through the forge, or you're

  465. headed to the forge. That's our mountains and

  466. that's our valleys. It's like boot camp. When

  467. you're in a spiritual battle, your comfort is

  468. stripped away. Your pride and your plans. succumb

  469. to the greater will. To all that's left is the

  470. real you. And that's all Jesus wants. He wants

  471. the real you, brother. He wants the real you.

  472. It's not punishment that you're going through

  473. stuff. It's training. You see, pain doesn't come

  474. to destroy you. It comes to move out what's weak

  475. inside of you. That's why you go through your

  476. stuff. That's what makes a prayer warrior. James

  477. 1 through 2 says, my brethren, this is a tough

  478. one, count it all a joy when you fall into various

  479. trials. That's tough. Knowing that the testing

  480. of your faith, produces patience. And then you

  481. go to Romans 5 .3, it says, not only so, but

  482. we also glory. This is tough. We glory in our

  483. sufferings because we know that suffering produces

  484. perseverance. Perseverance produces character.

  485. Character produces hope. Go read your Bibles.

  486. These testings, your battles, they grow you so

  487. you can carry the weight of your testimony. Your

  488. testimony. We all got a testimony. Revelation

  489. 12 .11 says this. You want to overcome the enemy?

  490. There's two ways to do it. The blood of the lamb

  491. and the word of your testimony. Did y 'all ever

  492. used to have testimony services? Remember those?

  493. It just broke out because people began to overcome

  494. the enemy because of the word of their testimony.

  495. Every bad day, every setback, every heartache,

  496. every trial, that is God molding you piece by

  497. piece. Listen, listen. You do not grow in comfort.

  498. You grow in chaos. Make sense? You're growing.

  499. If you're going through a spiritual battle right

  500. now, listen up, Christian warrior, you're growing.

  501. I don't feel like I'm growing. I get it. But

  502. you're growing. Pressure is a privilege. That

  503. pressure that's breaking you now is the same

  504. pressure that will grow you, make you unstoppable

  505. for the kingdom of God. So when you're down on

  506. your knees, it's not the end, it's the rebuild.

  507. And when you see me on my knees, it's not because

  508. I'm weak, I'm getting stronger. Most Christians

  509. quit when it hurts, when it gets too tough, but

  510. the Christian warrior goes through the fire.

  511. A Christian warrior goes through the fire until

  512. their purpose starts glowing, starts shining.

  513. Every tear, every sleepless night is just proof

  514. God isn't done yet. As the song said, he never

  515. promised that the cross would not get heavy and

  516. the hill would not be hard to climb. He never

  517. offered victories without fighting, but he said

  518. help. would always come just in time. Hallelujah.

  519. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. On October 12th, 2025,

  520. the Department of Defense changed their name

  521. to the Department of War. I personally love it.

  522. Matter of fact, I think the church needs to take

  523. on this same banner, the Department of War. Here's

  524. the Department of War motto. Peace through strength.

  525. Man, that hit me. You want peace in your life?

  526. Strengthen your prayer time. Prayer strengthens

  527. you. You want peace in your life? Strengthen

  528. your Bible reading time. This book strengthens

  529. you. There's life in this book. There's hope

  530. in this book. Every question you have, there's

  531. an answer in this book. It's not the book, folks.

  532. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the

  533. life. No man comes by me, but I am the word.

  534. When you read this book, you're talking to Jesus.

  535. There's something empowering to it. You want

  536. peace through strength? Start praying. Start

  537. praying. You want peace through strength? Start

  538. reading. Start reading. You want peace through

  539. strength? Start worshiping. I stand up here and

  540. watch you. Oh, yeah. And if I watched you too

  541. long, you'd bring me down. So I really don't

  542. pay much attention to you, but I see it. I'm

  543. like, good Lord. This puppy must have got run

  544. over this morning. It's just, what is up with

  545. that? And then I'll switch over to, it's not

  546. about you. I'm here to build up my Christian

  547. warrior mentality. You want peace through strength?

  548. Worship. Sing a song. Y 'all hush up in here,

  549. but when you get in your car, when you get in

  550. your shower, you let it rip, Tater Chip, right?

  551. But you start singing, our God is an awesome

  552. God. He reigns from heaven above with wisdom,

  553. power and love. Our God is an awesome God. Sing

  554. it. Our God is an awesome God. He reigns from

  555. heaven above with wisdom, power and love. Our

  556. God is an awesome God. Sing it. Our God is an

  557. awesome God. He reigns from heaven above with

  558. wisdom, power, and love. Our God is an awesome

  559. God. And when you start to worship, here come

  560. the demons. Here come the demons. They don't

  561. like you worshiping. Oh, no. Here come the demons.

  562. Listen. The demons will say, do you really think

  563. that works? Do you really think your worship

  564. is going to chase me off? Do you really think

  565. this works on me? You're still a loser. You need

  566. to quit. You have no worth. You have nothing

  567. left. So give it up. Give it up. Well, that's

  568. when you break in. So I lift up my hands and

  569. praise you again and again. Because. through

  570. strength. When you start reading, when you start

  571. praying, and when you start worshiping, demons

  572. can't handle it. You are enacting a Christian

  573. warrior ethos within you. You can be seated.

  574. You can be seated. Are we really in a war, Brother

  575. David? I just read Ephesians 6, 12. Yes, you

  576. are. Yes, you are. So listen here. Listen here.

  577. Listen. And I'm going to say this to the men

  578. of the church. It's time you get off of your

  579. blessed assurance and you wake up, you're in

  580. a war. So get your Christian warrior attitude

  581. checked up, Holy Ghost filled up, and start fighting.

  582. Start fighting. If you're not in a war, then

  583. why did Paul go on? Why did Paul go on in Ephesians

  584. 6 .13? He says, Boys, put on the whole armor.

  585. Put on the whole armor. You're in a war. And

  586. in verse 18, it says, praying always with prayer

  587. and supplication in the spirit and watching there

  588. unto all perseverance and supplication for all

  589. saints. Paul says, watch. You look that up and

  590. translate that into Greek, it means to stand,

  591. to battle. So I'm going to call you out, men.

  592. Watch for your family. Watch for your children.

  593. Watch for your church. Watch for your community.

  594. Watch for your soon coming king. I want to go

  595. through these pretty quick, but I want to touch

  596. just on a few warrior principles that as military

  597. members are taught, the same holds true for the

  598. Christian warrior. Here's one. I will always

  599. place the mission first. The military mindset

  600. is always mission first, get it done by any means

  601. necessary, get results, keep moving forward no

  602. matter what, be resilient. All throughout the

  603. Bible, we see examples of mission first folks.

  604. Job, Joseph, the woman with the issue of blood,

  605. Abraham, Moses, you get into Jesus himself and

  606. even David. Let me tell you about a mission first.

  607. It's about a man who was an usher. The rest of

  608. the world will never know his name. But he had

  609. the most spiritual significant impact on this

  610. world about mission first. There was a preacher

  611. named Mordecai Ham in 1934 who was preaching

  612. a tent revival in Charlotte, North Carolina.

  613. Mordecai Ham is preaching this revival, and two

  614. young 14 -year -old boys are walking past the

  615. tent and get a little curious. They walk in and

  616. see there's no seats available. It's packed out,

  617. and the two boys start to walk off. This usher

  618. sees these two boys walking off and goes back

  619. and says, hey, boys, boys, where are you going?

  620. You need to hear about this Jesus. The boys go,

  621. well, sir, there's no seats. He said, oh, I'll

  622. find you a seat, son. Both of you. Come on in.

  623. Let's go. You got to hear about this man named

  624. Jesus. So the two 14 -year -old boys go into

  625. the tent revival. They're getting the message

  626. from Pastor Mordecai Ham. These two boys end

  627. up giving their hearts to Jesus Christ. And as

  628. we know them today, one of them boys was the

  629. Reverend Billy Graham. who's absolutely changed

  630. the world, and his buddy, Grady Wilson, who organized

  631. all of Billy Graham's crusades and was his number

  632. one man. Listen, he changed the world. Not Billy

  633. Graham, not Mordecai Ham, not Grady Wilson, the

  634. usher. That one man saw two 14 -year -old boys

  635. walking away from the faith and said, not on

  636. my watch. Not on my watch. I'm committed that

  637. these boys will hear the word of God. And look

  638. what it did. Mission first. Mission first. Listen,

  639. your job is not to change the world. Your job

  640. is to change somebody's world. And then when

  641. you change somebody's world, it'll have an impact.

  642. on the world. Even little David, little David

  643. had a mission first mindset. David's coming out

  644. into the field to feed his brothers. He hears

  645. this big old giant mocking and defiling the armies

  646. of Israel. He's like, what's the deal here? Little

  647. David, man, I can't wait to meet him. But little

  648. David said, well, I don't get this. We got a

  649. mission, boys. We got a mission here. What's

  650. your problem? Little David runs into the breach,

  651. stands firm to the big giant. The giant's balking

  652. him. We all know the story. But then David said

  653. to the Philistine, you come to me with a sword

  654. and with a spear and with a shield, but I come

  655. to you in the name of Jesus Christ, the God of

  656. Israel, whom thou hast defiled. This day. Will

  657. the Lord deliver thee into my hand and I will

  658. smite thee and I will take thine head from thee

  659. and I will show all the earth that there is a

  660. God in heaven. That is a mission first mentality.

  661. Is there a heater up here? Man, I don't know

  662. how you do it, Pastor. The other one is, I will

  663. never accept defeat. In all the branches of the

  664. military, you're taught, I will never accept

  665. defeat. It means a refusal to give up when you're

  666. facing stuff, adversity, loss. Don't give up.

  667. Never quit. It's not worth it. We're more than

  668. conquerors through Jesus Christ. I got to share

  669. some of my folks who remember Grandma Goldie.

  670. Grandma Goldie was from Harlan, Kentucky, Brother

  671. Warren. Now we all know in Harlan, Kentucky,

  672. nothing good comes out of Harlan, Kentucky, but

  673. Grandma Goldie. Grandma Goldie was an encouragement

  674. to me as... As a child, as things were going

  675. on in my life, the Grandma Goldie would tell

  676. me, she called me Little David. She called me

  677. David Paul. She liked to say David Paul. Little

  678. David Paul, keep a victor's heart. I didn't know

  679. what that meant then. Little David Paul, you're

  680. a little warrior for Christ. Don't ever forget

  681. there is nothing too hard for Jesus. Grandma

  682. Goldie was a fighter against spiritual strongholds.

  683. Grandma Goldie understood what a victor's heart

  684. looked like. I would put Grandma Goldie up against

  685. any airborne Navy SEAL, Ranger, you name it,

  686. I would put Grandma Goldie up to her spiritually

  687. and be like, get you some of that, trooper boy.

  688. But Grandma Goldie taught me to have a Christian

  689. warrior's heart. The other ethos. that we're

  690. taught, is never quit. It's the commitment that

  691. we have. We're trained under an acronym of Charlie

  692. Mike. Charlie Mike means continue mission. It's

  693. tough out here, Sarge. Charlie Mike, continue

  694. mission. We've lost this, we've lost that. Charlie

  695. Mike, continue mission. But you don't understand

  696. what's happening out here, sir. Charlie Mike,

  697. continue mission. But you don't understand, I

  698. just lost a loved one. Continue the mission.

  699. But you don't understand what I'm going through

  700. this week, Brother David. Charlie Mike, continue

  701. the mission. But you don't understand what I'm

  702. fighting. Charlie Mike, continue the mission.

  703. In 2 Chronicles 15, 7, it says, but as for you,

  704. be strong, do not give up, for your work will

  705. be rewarded. It'll be rewarded. I want to go

  706. into the second one, is never leave a fallen

  707. comrade behind. It's a tough one. From a Christian

  708. warrior perspective, never leave a fallen comrade

  709. behind means showing active love and support,

  710. which includes spiritually restoring and caring

  711. for those who have fallen or are struggling.

  712. Just as God promises never to leave you or forsake

  713. you, we have that same hope that we are not to

  714. do that to our brother and our sister. When Moses...

  715. was going through his stuff in the Battle of

  716. the Amlekites, and it started getting bad. His

  717. brothers, Aaron and Hur, propped his arm up,

  718. and victory started to show. This principle is

  719. applied to the church community where members

  720. are called to be soldiers of Christ, looking

  721. out for one another. We are to have each other's

  722. back. But it's like today we applaud failure.

  723. When we see another brother or sister struggling,

  724. we talk about it, we gossip about it, instead

  725. of going into the breach and praying with them

  726. and for them and interceding on their behalf.

  727. You start gossiping and fussing. Did you see

  728. Sister Yeo? Did you see Sister Nay? You're leaving

  729. a fallen comrade behind. Never leave a brother

  730. or sister behind, and I'm going to be very straight

  731. with you. And if this upsets you, talk to the

  732. pastor. But when there are folks up here praying,

  733. and they are seeking a miracle, seeking healing,

  734. seeking salvation, and half of the church beat

  735. feet out of here, you are leaving a fallen comrade

  736. behind. When we have baptisms, and people are

  737. demonstrating their commitment to public for

  738. Jesus Christ, half of the church walks out. You

  739. are leaving a brother and a sister behind. If

  740. that was your mama, if that was your daddy, if

  741. that was your son, if that was your daughter,

  742. you'd be right up here. That's your brother and

  743. your sister. Don't leave them hanging. Get into

  744. the breach with them. Because when you're praying

  745. and you feel the touch of a brother or sister

  746. and they start praying, there's something that

  747. rises up in you with encouragement. And then

  748. when two or three or more start to gather, you

  749. get a little bold. You start saying, I think

  750. I got this. I think I can do this. I think I'm

  751. going to have a breakthrough. And then everybody's

  752. up here praying. That is never leaving a fallen

  753. comrade behind. You learn to go pick them up.

  754. Just like this picture. This is my oldest son.

  755. When he was going through his marine training,

  756. he was taught, you don't leave another brother

  757. behind. Go get him. If they're down, if they're

  758. hurt, if they're going through stuff, go get

  759. them. Go pick them up. Go get them. And lastly,

  760. hold the line. Hold the line. Military members

  761. are taught a warrior ethos principle of you hold

  762. the line. You stand fast. At all cost, defend

  763. the cause. It's courage. Listen, you are commanded

  764. as Christian warriors. To be of good courage.

  765. Joshua 1 .9 says, have I not commanded you? Be

  766. strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't

  767. be discouraged. For the Lord your God will be

  768. with you wherever you go. In the courtroom. In

  769. the boardroom. in your house, in the church,

  770. for your family, for your sickness, for that

  771. diagnosis. Be strong and courageous. Hold the

  772. line. Three men in the Bible, Hananiah, Azariah,

  773. and Mishael, you know them as Shadrach, Meshach,

  774. and Abednego. They held the line. They held the

  775. line. Nope, won't do it. Hold the line. Be it

  776. known unto thee, O king, hold the line, that

  777. we will not bow down, hold the line, before your

  778. golden image. Hold the line. But if God, hold

  779. the line, chooses not to deliver us from the

  780. burning fiery furnace, hold the line, we're not

  781. going to do it. Mission first. Never give up.

  782. I'm not leaving my other brothers here. I'm holding

  783. the line. Remember, folks, we do have a loving,

  784. gentle, saving Jesus. Jesus held the line. He

  785. exemplified courage. Jesus wasn't only soft.

  786. He is a warrior. He cast out demons. He rebuked

  787. the leaders. He flipped tables. He was gentle

  788. with the broken. but ruthless with evil. He didn't

  789. come to please the world. He came to save it.

  790. He's not tamed. He's a consuming fire, a righteous

  791. judge, a lion, and a lamb. My friends, you are

  792. called. You are called to be Christian warriors.

  793. You must have the spine, the courage to stand

  794. against sin. Anything that is against this book,

  795. You must hold the line and you must stand. You

  796. have to learn to fight for your home. Hold the

  797. line. You've got to fight for your family. Hold

  798. the line. You've got to fight for yourself. Hold

  799. the line. Hold the line. Because at the end of

  800. the day, here's what it boils down to. Men, I

  801. want to especially call you out. Men, listen

  802. to me. Up top, below, listen to me. As for me

  803. and my house, we will serve the Lord. Hold the

  804. line, men. As for me and my house, we will serve

  805. the Lord. Hold the line. Show some courage, men.

  806. Men are being defamed nowadays. Men are being

  807. pushed back. I'm going to tell you what a real

  808. man is. A real man. Here it is. Here it is. Sarge,

  809. I love working out when you're in the gym and

  810. you push me beyond anything. But that doesn't

  811. make me a man. What makes me a man is I pursue

  812. righteousness. That makes you a man. Men, you've

  813. got to stand in the gap. Everybody stand with

  814. me, stand with me, stand with me. Word to music,

  815. word to music. Men especially, look at me, look

  816. at me, listen to me. I'll say it again. Get up

  817. off of your blessed assurance, grow some courage,

  818. and hold the line. Pray, surrender, seek God.

  819. It takes guts to be a man. It takes guts to be

  820. a man. Christianity is not for the weak -hearted.

  821. I want every man, I want every teenager, I want

  822. you to come up. I'm going to call you to hold

  823. the line. I'm going to tell you to man up today.

  824. I want you to come here. I don't care if you're

  825. up top, I'll give you time. I want every man,

  826. and I don't mean to single out anybody else,

  827. but this group here today is what the enemy is

  828. attacking the most. I was telling my brother

  829. earlier, I'm proud of you, bro. I'm proud of

  830. you, man. I've watched you, brother. I've watched

  831. you go from zero to hero. And I mean that in

  832. a way because I'm watching you worship, dude.

  833. You encourage me. That is a Christian warrior.

  834. I'm super proud of you, brother. Men, listen,

  835. listen to me. You got to get battle focused.

  836. Hey, listen, God doesn't want to turn bad men

  837. to good men. He wants to turn dead men into alive

  838. men. That's what he wants to do. That's my God.

  839. We're all here in a battle, a battle for your

  840. mind, a battle for control of your soul. Some

  841. of us in here today got battles going on with

  842. our homes, our families, our sons, our daughters,

  843. just things. We all, we all got needs. We all

  844. got battles. But men, listen, I'm here to tell

  845. you, I'm here to tell you under the authority

  846. of Jesus Christ, the battle is not yours, says

  847. the Lord. And God has not given you a spirit

  848. of fear, but of sound mind. So be of courage.

  849. And it's time to man up. Hold the line. When

  850. you're in a battle and it's chaos, it's hectic,

  851. and you're here today and you want peace through

  852. strength, we're going to do two of the three

  853. things today. Number one, we're going to pray.

  854. You want peace through strength? We're all going

  855. to pray as brothers today. You want peace through

  856. strength? We're going to worship. And I better

  857. not see y 'all leaving. There are souls at stake

  858. up here. There are battle lines being drawn in

  859. the sand today going, enemy? Satan? No. No. No

  860. more depression. No more heartache. No more sucking

  861. me back into the life I'm trying to leave. No

  862. more of this weakness. No more of the trials.

  863. No more Satan. Right up here is where we draw

  864. the line and we hold the line. That's what Christian

  865. men do. And it's that military mind. Listen,

  866. you're in God's army. Whether you enlisted for

  867. real or not, you are now. You are in God's army.

  868. You're in the army. I want everybody to. I want

  869. everybody to lock arms with a brother beside

  870. you, whether you know him or not. I want you

  871. to lock in because right here locks in unity.

  872. Right here locks in, I got your back, brother.

  873. I will never leave a fallen comrade behind. If

  874. you have a need, tell your brother, this is it.

  875. You let him know, I've got a problem here. I'm

  876. struggling here. This is where we hold the line.

  877. This is where you hold the light. This is where

  878. you let the enemy know no more. This is where

  879. things are going to change. This is where things

  880. are going to change, folks. So get ready. Get

  881. ready because you're going to walk out a Christian

  882. warrior. You're going to have a new attitude

  883. and your mentality is going to change because

  884. you've been encouraged. and you got your comrade

  885. right behind you. Let's pray. Father, God, Lord,

  886. in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, I

  887. pray over each man. I pray over each situation.

  888. I pray, Father, God, Lord, over everything that

  889. has them bound, Father God. I pray, Lord, that

  890. the Holy Ghost, Father, Lord, would infiltrate

  891. their life. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus

  892. that a new change, God, Lord. Father God, I pray,

  893. God Lord, that you would move in a mighty way.

  894. Oh, God, I pray, Father God, Lord, that you would

  895. move, Father God, Lord, and that you would break

  896. chains today, Father. You would move the mountains,

  897. God, and that you would cause, Father Lord, these

  898. men to stand up, to stand up in battle and say,

  899. as for me and my house, we will serve. the Lord.

  900. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

  901. God, I love you, Jesus. I love you, Father God,

  902. and I thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

  903. Hallelujah. Touch my brothers in the mighty name

  904. of Jesus, God. Raise a standard in them, God.

  905. Lord, let that Christian warrior mentality and

  906. attitude, Lord, be birthed out of them in the

  907. mighty. Mighty, mighty name of Jesus today. Father,

  908. we love you. We thank you. And Lord, I give you

  909. honor today as my commander and my chief. I love

  910. you, Lord, and I thank you, Jesus. In the mighty

  911. name of Jesus, we pray these things, Father God.

  912. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise, God. Thank

  913. you, Father. Yes, Lord.
