Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the program. We are your host
-
Janine Jose and myself Matthew. Tonight we're going to be tackling the second instance
-
in the Lift Up the Standard series. Tonight, we're going to be tackling
-
Isaiah chapter eleven. And in order to navigate that piece of scripture from the
-
Bible, God's Holy Word, we should pray ourselves out and pray ourselves in.
-
So I will be doing the prayer tonight leading us in. Dear Heavenly
-
Father, whom I serve to the Lord, Jesus Christ, your son,
-
Father and our Savior, Please fill us with your holy spirit so that we
-
can be pleasing and acceptable in your side. To Lord, our Rock and
-
our redeemer, Please help us to navigate your word. It is too wonderful
-
for us. I remember, Lord, stretching all the way back to my
-
keenage years, happen to come to terms with this, this very series that
-
we're doing this very night, This instances in your scripture, this lift up,
-
this standard, which means sign in Hebrew. This this marvelous sign that's
-
going to occur. I pray that you bless those who partake of this program,
-
whether it be hearing the live or in the archive, whether video or
-
whether audio. Please bless them as you stand upon time, Father, and
-
please bless them, and please please draw them to your son. For your
-
son, the Lord Jesus Christ is faithful and he will save them. Please,
-
Dear Lord, help us to navigate these waters one more time. And
-
Father, I'm I'm pushed to remind you, keep your promises. Lord,
-
keep your promises. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray
-
Amen and Amen, Amen. Amen. All right, Janine, what's your
-
opening comments? Well, you know what, Let's just read through this stanza
-
real quick. Let's just do that first. So Isaiah chapter eleven, verses
-
eleven through sixteen. Then it will happen on that day that the Lord will
-
again recover the second time with his hand the remnant of his people who remain
-
from Assyria, Egypt, Paphos, kush Elam, Shiner hey Meth, and
-
the islands of the sea. And he will lift up a standard for the
-
nation and the assembled the banished ones of Israel, and will gather the dispersed
-
of Judah from the four corners of the earth. Then the jealousy of the
-
Fraim will depart, and those who who rash Judah will be cut off.
-
Fraim will not be jealous of Judah, and Juda will not harass Efraim.
-
They will swoop down on the slope to the Philistines on the west. Together
-
they will plunder the sons of the east. They will possess edom and moab.
-
So you would think reading it, ladies and gentlemen, this is awfully
-
complicated. And to that, Janine, what's your your opening comments about this,
-
this standard that's being lifted up to the nation's You said that that actually
-
means sign? Right, Yes, it does the thing that immediately comes to
-
my mind, and it is a sign of the son of a man appearing
-
in the sky. That would certainly do the trick, wouldn't it. Yes,
-
that would certainly do the trick, That would do the trick. But
-
so is it your impression that that's what this sign is. That's what it
-
immediately has me think of, That's what it draws me to when I read
-
that verse. Okay, all right, let's give Jose's take on Jose What
-
say you, well, Matthew, especially that verse lately, when I've been
-
when I've been seeing that word nations. I know in the Hebrew it's usually
-
gooy and in the Greek is usually ethnos or some some variation of those words.
-
Um. And I've been getting a distinct impression that when you're talking about
-
the nations that um, they're obviously currently right now ruled by the bad angels,
-
right, I mean, that's who's leading them, that's who's misguiding them,
-
that's who's you know, um, causing them to go away from the
-
Lord. And so obviously God's gonna kick those angels out of him, and
-
he's gonna put up his own um leaders or princes over those nations. Um.
-
And and we know who those replacements are. We know that those are
-
the children one hundred and forty four thousand discussed in Revelation fourteen. They're going
-
to be directly instructed by God and then they're gonna they're gonna rule justly um
-
because the bad, bad princess couldn't do their job. So that's where my
-
mind's been going when I see the nations. We know who who Israel is,
-
right, that's Christians, that's those that have been set straight by God.
-
And we know they're going to be assembled like God tells us over and
-
over, not only in Asia but all over the Bible. And then we've
-
been discussing lately how judah um are those are those Jews that that end up,
-
you know, but believe in in in Christ, that that understand who
-
the Messiah is in those end times. So we're kind of we're kind of
-
again they were getting these this picture of these uh, of these three groups
-
right that we see in Revelation twelve. Um, these groups that each have
-
their appointed place and their jobs that they're supposed to do. So that's that's
-
where I'm being led right now, Matthew. Obviously, the more we dig
-
into this standard being lifted up, the more um, We're going to get
-
a better idea of what God's talking about. But that's my first impressions.
-
Okay, Well, with fat I'm gonna take Janine by a surprise because I
-
didn't finish the stanza. I'll finish. I stopped in the middle of a
-
verse. Everybody should have caught it when I said Moaban or edem in Moabban
-
didn't mention Ammon. But anyway, let's finish the text, and the sons
-
of Ammon will be subject to them and the Lord will utterly destroy the tongue
-
of the sea of Egypt, and he will wave his hand over the river
-
with a scorching wind, and he will strike it into seven streams and make
-
men walk over dry shod. And there will be a highway from Assyria for
-
the remnant of these people, who will be left, just as there was
-
for Israel in the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.
-
That probably catch That probably caught the listeners off kilter, because verse eleven
-
and verse sixteen actually go together, and the rest of the verses can be
-
taken out. That's in between. But you need to know this. When
-
he repeats himself and says again and will recover, let me do it this
-
way back to verse eleven, then it will happen on that day that the
-
Lord will again recover the second time with his hand, the remnant of his
-
people. What is he talking about? What event is he elicitly going to
-
repeat? Go down to the end the end of verse sixteen, in that
-
day that they came up out of the land of Egypt. If you thought
-
the end times had anything to do with anything else, you are dead bang
-
wrong. Yes, Janine, no, that's a rhetorical question. Yes,
-
you're absolutely. I mean, the only way to understand the end times is
-
to understand the Exodus. And he just forthrightly came out and said that it's
-
exactly going to be like this. Did he say that it's going to be
-
like the time that he took Elijah to heaven? Did he mention that,
-
No, let that sink in, Ladies and gentlemen, nod. The Father
-
who gave you his word just came right out and told you that the end
-
times are going to be executed just exactly like he did it in the Exodus.
-
Now I know that all these end time Bible prophecy experts run around like
-
chickens with their head cut off, screaming that it's a it's like it was
-
before the flood. It's like it was before the flood. It's like it
-
was in the days of Noah. We're gonna be put in an arc and
-
you know, set upon the waves during a great flood of evil. No,
-
No, that's all science fiction fantasy. God came right out and told
-
you exactly how it's going to be if you've been led to believe you're going
-
to go to heaven. So that God can make a special deal with the
-
Israeli Empire. You've obviously been reading something other than the Bible, God's holy
-
Word, and I'll just say that directly to you. You've been reading all
-
kinds of literature that hasn't included the Bible. Read a couple of very interesting
-
ones today myself, a couple of blog posts that were out right science fiction
-
fantasy written by doctorates that knows full well the devil himself does not believe those
-
posts that they written and published. They know full well even the devil don't
-
believe it. So when you're when you're assaulted with with that little bit of
-
information from these very few verses, I mean, Isaiah, chapter eleven,
-
verses eleven to sixteen, it's pretty sure, right, Jose. It's I
-
mean, it's just one stands up. That's one stands of it. Boy,
-
it packs a punch. And it amazes me that that, you know,
-
Jeanine's thoughts went directly to the sign of the Son of Man. But
-
that's not the only sign of the Book of Revelation, isn't, Jose.
-
No lots of signs that there's more than one, all right. I mean,
-
you know, ladies, and general monique. There's more than one sign
-
in the Book of Revelation, but let's just try one on for size.
-
I'll just start reading randomly. A great sign appeared in heaven, a woman
-
clothed with the sun. Shall I keep going? Now you understand that the
-
Bible just said that is in itself a sign. It picks it up two
-
verses later from that one. Then another sign appeared in heaven and behold a
-
great red dragon. Now what's going to blow your mind is what does he
-
just say? Let me read it in Having read Isaiah chapter eleven, verse
-
eleven through sixteen, you might want to consider what I'm getting ready to read.
-
Then another sign appeared in heaven and bold, a great red dragon,
-
having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.
-
Now let's go back to Isaiah chapter eleven. Now you have to realize that
-
listen very carefully, and the Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea
-
of Egypt. And he will wave his hand over the river. It doesn't
-
say the Nile, doesn't say that your radies, it doesn't say the Jordan.
-
It says the river with his scorching win. And he will strike it
-
into seven streams and make men walk over dryshod. So am I saying that
-
these two signs are related. I didn't say that at all. I'm just
-
pointing out the obvious. But I'm really getting way right of the target,
-
because there's a bunch of stuff embedded in this text that will absolutely blow your
-
mind. Jose your comments, Yeah, that's um, that matches a little
-
bit too close, especially with but said in verse fourteen, Matthew, we
-
know that where it says that he will possess Edim and Moab. I mean,
-
that's Etim we read about in the book of Obadiah. We're told,
-
we're told what what what? That's what that's in reference to? Right,
-
Yeah, we're told what mountain? That's that's describing Moab. We've discussed before,
-
means of the Father, Right, that's right. What's essentially he is
-
talking about the sons of God, the angels, Um, And again these
-
are the bad angels. We keep talking about, those those ones that God
-
kicks out, the ones that we were talked to told about in Revelation chapter
-
twelve. So it's it fits here. Um. Again, it's like you're
-
you're you're telling it, telling the same story from a from a different,
-
different perspective, a different point of view, a little bit more detail about
-
what God's talking about. Um, the boy was blowing me away right now,
-
Matthew. When I was looking at the Hebrew Is that word remnant in
-
verse eleven? It's only one letter different from the word assyria in Hebrew.
-
That is correct, And that's blowing my mind right now. That is correct,
-
Just one little bitty Hebrew character different, right, Yes, yes you
-
need Do you have any further comments? Well, I'm going back to that
-
verse twelve, and he will lift up a standard for the nations and will
-
assemble the banished ones of Israel. To me, that indicates that that sign
-
and the gathering are connected. Yes, no doubt about it. They're definitely
-
connected. So so what sign in revelation than do you would you assign pardon
-
the pun to that sign? Well, Janine, let me go back to
-
what I was reading before. All right, let's just do that. That's
-
the easiest way to do it. Okay, let's go back to that particular
-
chapter I was reading out of Okay, okay, and um, we'll just
-
confront ourselves with is that mentioned in this chapter? Is it mentioned there.
-
What you just mentioned is the great gathering mentioned there. So just a few
-
verses later, and when the dragon saw that he was own down to the
-
earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. But
-
the two wings of great Eagle were given to the woman so that she could
-
fly into the wilderness to her place where she was nourished for a time and
-
times and half a time from the presence of the serpent. This is exactly
-
describing Isaiah chapter forty in Operation Eagles Wings. It's the same thing. It's
-
the same exact thing. So once again, am I saying that one is
-
the other? No, I'm not. I'm just pointing out the obvious.
-
Isn't that what you would say, Jose yep, especially when you tie in
-
the start of that stand again, it tells us on that day, right,
-
So he's talking about the Lord's day in verse eleven Isaiah chapter eleven.
-
And so we know that's when God comes down, that's when he gets up
-
off his throne. That's the that's he does that on the tribulation trigger,
-
which is the sixth seal in a revelation chapter six. And why does he
-
come down? He comes down to gather that male child before before the dragon
-
or anyone can get to it, which is what we're told in Revelation chapter
-
twelve. That's right. So I'm just pointing out the obvious gene. I'm
-
not answering your question. I'm just saying that both those elements are right here
-
in the same chapter, and I'm okay with that. That that helps good.
-
So from this point, you know, to get to some of these
-
things that are that are right there in front of your face. If you're
-
looking at the Bible, you've got it laid out in front of your you
-
know, on your lap, let's say, or on your desk. There's
-
things right there. I mean, they're right there. You can't see.
-
To me, they're obvious because my Sunday school teacher pointed them out to me.
-
And when I saw it, I could not unsee it. And I
-
was greatly disturbed because I didn't understand why I didn't see it. So,
-
Janine, would you care to read all sixteen verses of this chapter four?
-
Please? I can do that, thank you, Starting with chapter eleven,
-
verse one. That's what you wanted right from the very beginning, okay,
-
called the righteous reign of the branch. Then a shoot will spring from the
-
stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. And
-
the spirit of the Lord will rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and
-
understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge, and
-
the fear of the Lord. And he will delight in the fear of the
-
Lord. And he will not judge by what his eyes see, nor make
-
a decision by what his ears hear. But with righteousness he will judge the
-
poor, and decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth. And he
-
will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breadth
-
of his lips, he will slay the wicked. Also, righteousness will be
-
the belt about his loins, and faithfulness the belt about his waist. And
-
the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with,
-
and the calf, and the young lion and the fatling together, and
-
a little boy will lead them. Also, the cow and the bear will
-
graze their young, will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw
-
like the ox, and the nursing child will play by the whole of the
-
cobra, and the weaned child will put his hand on the Viper's den.
-
They will not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth
-
will be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the
-
sea. Then it will come about in that day that the nations will resort
-
to the roots of Jesse, who will stand as a signal for the people's
-
and his resting place will be glorious. Then it will happen on that day
-
that the Lord will again recover the second time with his hand the remnant of
-
his people, who will remain from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, hush Alam,
-
shinar Hamas, and from the islands of the sea. And he will
-
lift up a standard for the nations, and will assemble the banished ones of
-
Israel, and will gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the
-
earth. Then the jealousy of Fraim will depart, and those who harass Judah
-
will be cut off. If Raim will not be jealous of Judah, and
-
Judah will not harass if Raim, And they will swoop down on the slopes
-
of the Philistines on the west. Together they will plunder the sons of the
-
East. They possess edom and Moab and the sons of Ammon will be subject
-
to them. And the Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of
-
Egypt. And he will wave his hand over the river and his scorching wind,
-
and he will strike it into seven streams, and make men walk over
-
dry shod. And there will be a highway from Assyria for the remnant of
-
his people, who will be left, just as there was for Israel in
-
the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt. So that's
-
some pretty easy text, right, No, really, did you catch a
-
theme there? Let me let me ask Jose. Did you catch a theme
-
there, Jose? Or was? It gives me? There's lots of themes
-
there, Matthew, Well do you and you wanted to say something, Yes,
-
it's another chapter that makes the backs of my eyeballs itch. Well it
-
should both of them. Let me point this out, okay, I said
-
both of them for a reason. Listen to the dichotomy here. Once I
-
say that, people's like what listen to him. If you listen to what
-
it says, you will rapidly hear the dichotomy. It says the spirit of
-
number one wisdom and two understanding. Then it does it again, the spirit
-
of number one council and number two strength. Do you see it, Janie,
-
may do, he's forcing you to see twins. No, yes,
-
let me ask koset, Let me ask kose jose? How many people are
-
mentioned in verse two or in verse one? Because it's either a shoot or
-
branch. I want to know which one he is? Right? Did you
-
catch it, Janine? Yes, one is a shoot and one is a
-
branch. One will spring from the stem and the other one from his roots.
-
Exact amundo. Now let's go to verse four. It's all over the
-
place. The first one righteousness, the second one fairness. Look, ladies
-
and gentleman, it's talking about two different people. But with righteousness he will
-
judge the poor. The second one he uses fairness and decide with fairness for
-
the afflicted of the earth. If you look here, let's try this again,
-
Janine, Yes, how many belts are in verse five? It was
-
I think two? So righteousness is one belt and where's it act his lines?
-
Okay? And the second belt is faithfulness? Where's it act around his
-
waist? Are you getting the point? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you
-
are forced to see he's talking about Quinn's However, which way you want to
-
do it, whether you want to say it's two sides of one coin,
-
it's impossible not to see it once it's been pointed out to you. Well,
-
then he continues that with if I am and Judah, yes he does.
-
Let's let's try this one. Okay, Jose, listen to me,
-
Okay, I want you to keep in your mind twins verse four. But
-
with righteousness, he will judge the poor and decide with fairness for the afflicted
-
of the earth. And he will strike the earth with the rod of his
-
mouth, and with the breath of his lips, he will slay the wicked.
-
What does that remind you of, Jose? The two Witnesses Matthew Revelation
-
chapter eleven qualify that read it for me. Where is there anything where is
-
there anything in Revelation about the two Witnesses that mimics what was just said?
-
So I will just read from verse five of Revelation eleven. Says, if
-
anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their
-
enemies. And so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed.
-
In this way, these have the power to shut up the sky so
-
that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying. And they have
-
power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth
-
with every plague as often as they desire. Did you hear it, Janine?
-
Yes, the first verse he read was very illicit. With the breath
-
of their lips, they slay the wicked. Yes, the next verse,
-
verse six, may it perfectly clear they could strike the earth with the rod
-
of their mouth. Yes, ladies and gentlemen. If you didn't know this
-
was talking about the two witnesses, you are extremely shortsighted, indeed, because
-
once you see it, it's impossible to get away from what he was trying
-
to point out to you. It's impossible, But let's try some verse six.
-
You cannot look. You have to be as blind as a bat not
-
to see it. You got a wolf and lamb, leopard and young goat.
-
How can you not see it? How can you not see that?
-
The only two things this can possibly be ascribed to is exactly what Jose read
-
from a Revelation, Chapter eleven, verses five and six. Yes, yes
-
it is, yes, it is, Oh, yes it is yea it
-
is. There is no part of this scripture that you're not going to have
-
to come to grips with. Okay, okay, the cow and the bear
-
verse seven. If that's not good enough for it, does it again in
-
the same verse, lion and the ox. Open your eyes. Let's try
-
verse eight. Okay, A nursing child and a cobra. Then it says,
-
a wean child and a viper. If you cannot see he is talking
-
about, however you want to put it two sides of one coin, or
-
brothers or twins. However, you you're literally blind as a bad if you
-
can't see it. I mean, especially with the opening. I mean,
-
once it's pointed out to you, it's inescapable. Is it a shoot or
-
a branch? Why does he keep doing it? Okay? The spirit of
-
wisdom and understanding? Why does every time the spirit have two sides to it,
-
the spirit of counsel and strength? Why is that verse three? If
-
you if you need eyes that can see, I can't help you. If
-
you need ears that can hear, I can't help you. Because this is
-
literally what Jesus is talking about. And he will delight and the fair of
-
the Lord, and he will not judge by what his eyes see. Surely
-
you all remember Jesus saying that those that have eyes that can see, those
-
that have ears that can hear, let me finish the verse, nor make
-
a decision by what his ears here. So all of you that's ever you
-
know, uh paid for any eschatology teaching or whatever about the two witnesses,
-
and they didn't point this out to you. Lord have mercy, You got
-
a lot to learn, because Jose, it's not me right right, it
-
showing. It's showing up there everywhere. Matthew. Um, Yeah, that
-
the the the comparison of the two just pops up everywhere. When when I'm
-
when I'm hearing the righteousness and the faithfulness described in verse five, that is
-
the law and the testimony. And then when you jump down to verse eight
-
and you have a nursing child, which is a child who's two years an
-
under, and then a nursing weaned child as a child that's past that stage.
-
I mean, that's that's the nursing child that is talking about those in
-
Revelation fourteen, and the weaned child that's talking about those in Revelation chapter seven.
-
The two brothers. Yes, it is talking about the male child and
-
the rest of her children in verse twelve, the rest of her children.
-
And once you see it, you can't unsee it, can you. Nope.
-
Literally, before we started this program, if I would have said that
-
to anybody partaking of the private conversation between me and let's say Janine Famous said
-
you're crazy. Let you said, the two Witnesses have got nothing to do
-
with Isaiah chapter eleven. Do I have to be mister obvious? We're talking
-
about Isaiah chapter eleven right now? Right? Yep? I'm sorry, Jose.
-
Which chapter in Revelation is dedicated to the two Witnesses? Revelation eleven?
-
Okay, Janine, does that take mister obvious? No, No, ladies
-
and gentlemen, it doesn't require mister obvious. And the other thing to Matthew
-
is the two witnesses prophecy for one two hundred and sixty days. Yes,
-
they operate forty two months, and that's a I mean, I hate to
-
spring this up again, but isn't that into your twice in Revelation chapter twelve.
-
Yes, it's in there two different ways, right right, okay,
-
So just so we understand what we're talking about here, ladies and gentlemen,
-
the two witnesses. Okay, the two witnesses, they prophesy for forty two
-
months. Revelation chapter twelve states that the woman would be taken care of for
-
one thousand, two undred sixty days. Ladies and gentlemen, that's forty two
-
months. Yes it is, Yes, it is. So what other way
-
could you possibly describe this time frame, ladies, Germany. The only way
-
you can say that is is time's time and a halftime, right, Jose
-
Right, I mean it's, ladies and gentlemen. I mean, I hate
-
to be you know, I hate to belittle this, but it's staring you
-
right in the face, and it's a little impossible not to see it once
-
once it's been brought to your attention. And I can I add this part
-
of Revelation chapter eleven, Matthew the first two verses, because I was given
-
to me a measuring rod like a staff, and someone said, get up
-
and measure the Temple of God and the altar and those who worship in it,
-
the about the core yard, which is outside the temple, and do
-
not measure it, because it has been given to the nations, and they
-
will trample the Holy city for forty two months. There's the nations again.
-
There's the nations again, and I wasn't finished. The only other time frame
-
you can you can say that it's times time and a half time, and
-
down in verse fourteen of Revelation Chapter twelve is times time and a half time.
-
So you have Revelation chapter eleven and Revelation chapter twelve. You cannot argue
-
this point in a court of law. You have three and a half years
-
divided up into forty two months. That is a duration of one thousand and
-
two and sixty days. It says it. What other way could you say
-
it? Jose? I mean, what other way could you say it?
-
Right? Channing your thoughts? Is it the same forty two months for all
-
three events? I mean, I don't want to laugh at you. Go
-
ahead, I mean, of course it is, so they're all concurrent.
-
Of course it is. The tribulation is only three and a half years.
-
Okay. If you are wondering what the first three and a half years was,
-
it was the Ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes it was,
-
Yes, it was. When I say that, it just confuses the daylights
-
out of people. And I'm really, I mean, you think what and
-
when they give me the rancher. I'm like, wait a minute, don't
-
you realize that's kind of blasphemous to say that because there's only one Prince of
-
the Covenant. There ain't two, there ain't three, there's not twelve.
-
I mean, I know the Hebrew word at play, but you call it
-
age twelve eighty five. I mean, if you didn't know it was the
-
beginning at Daniel chapter eleven, I fear for you. You know what,
-
let me read it, but I assure you, ladies and gentlemen, this
-
is true. Boy. I'm really about ready to just rattle people's cage.
-
Ladies and gentlemen. It plainly says in Daniel that the Prince of the Covenant
-
would be cut off in the middle of the week, Jeanine. Isn't it
-
common knowledge how long Jesus ministry was. I mean, you can go to
-
any institution of a higher learning and they will all tell you it was three
-
and a half years. And we know that, right, Yes, So
-
let's look at this literally, I mean literally, you realize that he was
-
cut off in the middle of the feast of unleavened bread, right, everybody?
-
Yes, okay, just so you all know, Okay, Passover is
-
the day before the week long feast of unleavened bread, so prophetically the last
-
week is seven years. He got cut off in the middle of that because
-
his ministry was three and a half years long. Yeah, it was.
-
Everybody knows it. Even God haters accept that. I mean, that's why
-
God trips over himself in Revelation chapter eleven and twelve to make sure you know,
-
by the way, this is three and a half years long, and
-
it's almost magical because that's exactly the opposite of what everybody else says, right,
-
Jenny. They literally trip over themselves saying that it's seven years long,
-
right, yes, Which is why I brought it up, because I think
-
there is well we know there is. I don't think it. There is
-
a whole group of people out there right now who have begun to worship the
-
God of Confusion in a serious, much more serious way. And I myself
-
am a data point type person, and I like point A, B,
-
C, and D laid out in a fashion that I can comprehend. And
-
that's why I ask the questions because I know there's people out there that are
-
going to be listening, and they're going to be thinking, Hey, wait
-
a minute, how does this work? And so they're going to ask themselves,
-
are they all concurrent events? I think it's a question that's going to
-
be asked by people who do not have the background that we have. Perhaps
-
certainly not that you have, but we're trying to reach them. Well,
-
Janine, I was going to read one verse for you and the New Market
-
Standard Bible. Maybe I should just hesitate. No, you need to hear
-
it. Hearken to my voice. This is true. Then after sixty two
-
weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing, and the
-
people of the Prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary,
-
and it's in will come with a flood. Even an end. There
-
will be war and desolations are determined, and he will make a firm covenant
-
with many for one week. But in the middle of the week he will
-
put a stop to the sacrifice of green offering, and on the wing of
-
the abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until the complete destruction,
-
one that is decreed is poured out, and the one who makes desolate.
-
This is exactly what Jesus Christ was quoting from. And if you didn't know
-
that the Messiah is speaking about himself. He makes a covenant for one week,
-
and in the middle of that week he got cut off. I'm not
-
sure what I can do to help you. You already are helping me by
-
putting it in terms that someone as simple as I can understand, so you're
-
able to wrap your mind around the simple fact that this week is seven years
-
long, and in the middle of it, the Messiah got cut off.
-
And it's literally. You can go to Harvard, Yale, whatever school you
-
want to get, and they will tell you that they know jesus ministry was
-
approximately three and a half years. Yes, and ladies are doing That's why
-
the tribulation is three and a half years long. That's why because He's gonna
-
finish it. So let me get this right. This has always blown me
-
away. So when you take that text and read it in the Hebrew,
-
everybody thinks that God is just never going to get to the end of the
-
seventy weeks. It says for one week, but in the middle of the
-
week, so you think it's just never going to be completed. It's enough
-
to blow my mind. There is no way around. Verse twenty six of
-
Daniel chapter nine yes, it does say Messiah. This is not talking about
-
I mean, realize everybody says that it's the anti Christ that makes a covenant
-
with Israel. No, no, that's not what it says the Messiah.
-
So I'm glad you asked that, Jennie, I'm glad you asked if this
-
was different periods of time. That's amazing to me. Maybe the problem is
-
this, Maybe people are using the KJV or something. They need to consult
-
the actual Hebrew and read Daniel chapter nine. It makes itself perfectly clear.
-
Once you break it down as you have, it makes perfect sense. I
-
understand it. However, you have a large subgroup of people who have only
-
come to faith in the Lord Jesus, in the Messiah, in God the
-
Father through the entertainment industry, so they have no other knowledge to compare it
-
to. Sunday school was what the neighbors kids went to. They didn't go.
-
Bible was what somebody read when there was a funeral or a wedding.
-
They never read it, certainly didn't study the Hebrew or the Greek. So
-
they literally have no idea, they have no reference points. They are believing
-
what a certain book series tells them. Well, don't they realize that they
-
had to pay for the book? Yes, I mean if you look,
-
if I go up to Jose and I say, Jose, write me a
-
book and I'll give you five hundred dollars for it, Jose is going to
-
do everything he can to make it believable and entertaining, won't he? Of
-
course? But you understand that the Bible's free. Now I'm going to rattle
-
your cage because what I'm gonna tell you is true. Janine. This is
-
a true statement. The Bible sells more books every year than any other book,
-
every single year. So in nineteen seventy nine the Bible sold more copies
-
than any book. Last year it sold more copies than any other book.
-
This is a fact, Janine, It's a fact. Now I understand that,
-
Yes, but blow but to blow you. It's also the freest to
-
book you can. You realize you can call the Gideons right now and they'll
-
give you a Bible. Yes, you can go to almost any church and
-
they'll give you a Bible if you ask for it. So how can it
-
be the global number one best seller and yet at the same time be the
-
number one book that people give away? Do you have any idea how many
-
Bibles just missionaries give away for free in Africa? Yes? Have you ever
-
heard the old saying you can lead a horse to water? That's not funny.
-
No, it's true, it's not it's not humorous at all. Well,
-
ladies and gentlemen, you can look up these facts all you want to.
-
It is the number one best seller every year, and at the same
-
exact time every single year. It is the number one book that's given away
-
for free. Jose, Does that make sense to you? No, it's
-
true, Yes it is, Yeah, it is yep. I can remember
-
when I was a child, youngish child, and I was cleaning my mother's
-
house, and every week it was my job to dust the Bible. What
-
you heard me, I dusted it? You had to dust your bible?
-
Yes, And that Bible had a black elastic band around it. And as
-
I picked it up, I dusted the shelf underneath it, and then I
-
dusted the Bible. And I looked at my mother and I said, Mom,
-
why don't we ever read this? Oh, we can't read that for
-
ourselves. No, oh okay, And I walked off and dusted something else.
-
Why why couldn't you read it? For yourself it isn't English or did
-
you have a did you ever know it wasn't English? But we non clergy
-
type people were not smart enough nor were we holy enough to read it.
-
And that is the population group that most concerns me. It may be the
-
most sold book, it might be the most given away book, but is
-
it the most read book. You can take this to the bank. It
-
is in my house, in your house, but you and your house serve
-
the Lord. Jose, you're closing comments, please, We've got five minutes
-
left. Yeah, Matthew, this is just um to me. It's it's
-
building off of that that one phrase um in that day, that great day
-
of the Lord, which is which is the sixth seal um, which when
-
God comes down, it's his day when he comes down to start the tribulation.
-
And so that's what I'm using right now to kind of focus the time
-
frame and understand everything that God's thrown at me right now, because He's throwing
-
a lot through through just the two the chapter were last week and the chapter
-
reading this week. So um, I'm holding on to that day of the
-
Lord. Well everything else is kind of flying around right um. And And
-
that's what I'm using to that's my starting point to piece all these all these
-
um data points together. Um. But again, God keeps repeating himself over
-
and over. But each time he repeats himself, he gives us a little
-
bit clearer picture of what he's gonna do. An it's pretty amazing how he
-
does that. It's pretty exteptional. Yep, yeah, that's what I meant.
-
Ladies, gentle, you need to write that down. I said X
-
stephano as in, it has an extra step. That's the only way you
-
can describe this particular chapter. It's not one step. It has it's two
-
steps. Once you see it, you can't unsee it, and it'll make
-
you mad at all your supposed Bible prophecy experts because if they never told you
-
that this was talking about the two witnesses, you realize that means they didn't
-
know what they were talking about. Because I really didn't have and have time
-
to share anything about the greater details in this chapter. Because I mean,
-
you realize, Jose, this is true, right, We just skimmed the
-
surface, did I mean? I know, I said a couple of Hebrew
-
numbers from the strongs, but I didn't elaborate on any of them, did
-
I No, No, I didn't get into that. No. Well,
-
I'm here to tell you what's impregnated into this text will blow your mind.
-
Jose. After you look at it for several months, it becomes looking it's
-
like, I don't know, I don't know how to describe it. It's
-
so beautiful and so perfect and so dynamic. I guess it's kind of like
-
looking into a black hole. It don't blow your mind. Now. Let
-
me just say this again, ladies and gentlemen. If it took a mister
-
obvious to tell you that Isaiah chapter eleven is talking about Revelation chapter eleven,
-
you need a hint, and that means you ain't got a clue your way
-
behind the curve. And I hope you you understand this one thing. Your
-
father, who is in heaven, he is fully expecting you to know all
-
these details before they happen, because that's why he gave it to you.
-
Jose. Did you know? Did you know? God gave you the Bible
-
so that you would know what was to come? Amen? Amen, Janine,
-
I don't care what I don't care what your mother said, and I'm
-
not trying to disrespect her. No, I know, I don't care what
-
she said. God wrote the Bible so you would know exactly what is to
-
come and be able to exactly prepare yourself for that event. Amen. So
-
with that in mind, who's going to pray us out of here? Jose
-
Man Jose Dear Lord, Once again and always, I give you thanks and
-
praise for bringing us together, for continuously showing us your word, for showing
-
us how true it is, for rewarding our faithfulness and reading your word,
-
for rewarding our faithfulness to gather together as an eccles you and Lord. I
-
asked that through this faithfulness you help make us righteous, so that when that
-
time comes, we can be with your son, gathered together with him.
-
A Lord. We ask all this in the name of your son, our
-
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen, Amen, and Amen,
-
ladies and gentlemen. Till next time, God bless, God speed,
