-
Nigh. Welcome, Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the program. We're your
-
host Matthew Miller and Jose Castor. On today we are going to be talking
-
about a topic that Jose's put together, but its origin comes from that infamous
-
chapter of Isaiah, chapter forty. Really the chapter, really, the chapter
-
where God comes right out and lays out before you what is to come.
-
It's very direct and to the point, but its message is extremely diverse because
-
it tells you what tells you about Operation Eagles Wings, what's it's going to
-
take to get there. It's so intricate and so deep. This chapter will
-
literally blow your mind. So saying that is an understatement. But Jose,
-
why'n't you jump in here and give us an overview and your thoughts as to
-
why you chose to do this first in this very late hour, because I
-
take it that's why you wanted to talk about this, because the hour is
-
late. Concerning this topic, Yes, it is, Matthew. I mean,
-
there's always been pressures on Christians for worldy pressures, right, There's always
-
been a pressures on us as Christians to conform to the world, to follow
-
the whims of the world, to abandon our our faith and our steadfastness in
-
the in the Ten Commandments and in the testimony of Jesus Christ. That that's
-
been since, you know, since day one. But Matthew, there's there's
-
been. Boy, I don't know how many stories we could go through with
-
martyrs that have sacrificed for the for those commandments and for that testimony, that
-
has sacrificed themselves, that are sitting right now under the altar of God,
-
and they've been our example for how we're supposed to act as a church,
-
as a body. Because individually, Matthew, it's easy to break us.
-
It's it's very easy to put that pressure on one person and that one person
-
break. But knowing you have a body, knowing you have a church,
-
knowing you have an ecclesia with Christ as your head, that's what allows you
-
to hold fast and to hold strong and to remember everything you've been taught,
-
to remember everything you've read. And so it's just it's just very scary,
-
Matthew, when I see the churches themselves, and I know there's there,
-
you know, there's people that argue, well, are these ecclesiastic bodies are
-
they really the church? Are these denominations? Are they really the church?
-
You know? Or is it church just the body of Christians? But those
-
those main may nine churches, those denominations, they serve as a body,
-
Matthew, and so uh, and we know that that none of them are
-
perfect, but they sort of a function. And there's a place that's a
-
place for us to go to gather together. It's a place for us to
-
to to praise and to celebrate and give thanksgiving to the Lord. In a
-
lot of the churches, you you commemorate the sacrifice of Christ on the cross,
-
right you go and and through the through the the eu Christ, or
-
the bread and the wine, you know, however you call it, there's
-
a way to remember that sacrifice and remember the testimony of the Gospel of Jesus
-
Christ. So when that starts to shake, when that foundation starts to shake,
-
Matthew, and you start to get various forms of Antinomianism enter into that
-
church body, into that that church authority. It gets, it gets very
-
scary, Matthew. For me, I've been a Christian my whole life.
-
I was raising the Catholic Church. And there's lots of things that you can
-
pick on on the Catholic Church. But boy, Matthew, those Ten Commandments
-
were drilled into my head. Those Gospels were drilled into my head, That
-
testimony of Jesus Christ was drilled into my head. And to me, I
-
it's it's what's allowed me to endure what I've gone through as an adult.
-
And so it's very important to me that that maintains that strength or that foundation
-
for for other Catholics and other Christians. And I know, I know you're
-
yourself, Matthew, being raised in the church. I know what it's meant
-
to you. And so to have that be attacked and and and I mean
-
I could say being attack, Mathew, because we know it's a spiritual attack.
-
But but it almost seems like these church bodies are are are willingly giving
-
into this stuff, given into this Antinomianism. And I know it's a function
-
of of Christians as a whole. I know, if more Christians bad their
-
Bible, if more Christians were in prayer. If more Christians followed the ten
-
Commandments, I know that that this would not be happening. But those shepherds
-
serve a purpose, Matthew, those that are supposed to instruct the baby Christians,
-
they serve a purpose. And if that foundation starts to crack, Matthew,
-
then we know we're getting close to that, to that great day,
-
to that day of the Lord when God himself has to come down and set
-
everything straight. So that's why I think it's important that we cover this chapter
-
again. Well, from my end, I was also raised in the church.
-
I was raised in the Wesleyan Church, and it being of a holiness
-
denomination, I assure you the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes were drilled into my
-
head. So when somebody comes spouting off to me and even getting upset inside
-
the church that we don't have to follow the ten Commandments, excuse me.
-
I mean, you could argue that the best verse in Revelation just stakes flatly
-
out that no liar will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Period. That's just
-
what it says, That's what it means. So this free grace Antinomianism that
-
has infected the church and told the church that yes you can continue lying,
-
Yes you can continue being an alcoholic. Yes you can continue in your pornography.
-
Yes you can continue in your pedophilia. No one can read the Bible
-
and reach that conclusion, because the devil himself don't even believe that. So
-
you speak of a time when finally God has to get involved, right,
-
finally God has to do something, And unfortunately, this is exactly talked about
-
in the Bible, especially in the prophetic narrative. There's no doubt about it
-
that the sclaughter of the shepherds is detailed in Jeremiah chapter twenty five. Yes
-
it is, Oh, yes it is. He lays it straight out that
-
it's because of the shepherds, because of the leaders. This is what happens.
-
This is what's going to happen, this is what's going to go down,
-
And it's well, it's really bothersome that people don't realize. Look,
-
if anybody can't realize that this is how the Gospels start out. Let's go
-
to the preaching of John. In Matthew chapter three, it says, now,
-
in those days, John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
-
saying repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. What Jesus did
-
in the very next chapter, in chapter four, verse seventeen, the same
-
exact thing. From that time, Jesus began to preach and say repent for
-
the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. It is a prerequisite that you cease
-
and desist from your own will, your own sinful nature. In order to
-
enter the Kingdom of heaven. You must stop sinning. You must repent,
-
turn from your ways, and stop sinning. That's a prerequisite. The problem
-
is, God doesn't lightly talk about the slaughter of the shepherds. He played
-
Mistates in more than one chapter in the Bible. It is the clergy's fault,
-
Jose, right. I mean, most people don't realize that there are
-
Christians sitting in the pews and Catholic churches. There's Christian sitting in the pews
-
of Methodist churches, there's Christian sitting in the pews of Presbyterian churches. And
-
the reason why there's different churches, Jose is guess what the clergy, Right,
-
that's whose fault. It is the clergy. So when you open up
-
Isaiah chapter forty, and it says something that, look if John the Baptist
-
didn't say it, and Jesus didn't say it. We got serious problems because
-
Isaiah chapter forty states that when these things begin to happen, somebody is going
-
to preach a different gospel. And what's chilling to the bone. As far
-
as I'm concerned, when I read this chapter the way it opens, it's
-
not right. God himself did not say that. If the Lord Jesus Christ
-
stated repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, if you say something
-
else, you're dead bang wrong. You're dead wrong. So that's my point
-
of view. There's never been another no. I never heard any preacher ever
-
any of the many times we had Evanuelists come in, which is twice a
-
year. We also had missionaries come in once or twice a year, all
-
depending if they could get back to the States numerous times. I never heard
-
any adult Christian ever ever tell me you could continue in your sins enter the
-
Kingdom of Heaven. Nobody ever said that to me, nor would they have,
-
because such a person is obviously historically been labeled a herotic. The only
-
reason why a preacher would tell you it's okay to continue in your sin is
-
because that's exactly what he himself was doing. That's the way I see it.
-
Do you see it a different way? No, Matthew, I think
-
that's exactly what I see going on. And the fact that you pointed out
-
that this chapter is quoted and all the Gospels, it starts off all the
-
Gospels, it just stresses how important it is to study this chapter just to
-
kind of set the stage. When you see John this verse quote in response
-
to John the Baptists, right, these these set of verses, if you
-
keep reading in those chapters in the Gospels, he calls out the Pharisees and
-
the Sadducees, which, like you say, Matthew, those are the shepherds
-
at that time. But that's who he's that's who he's pointing the majority of
-
his anger and his fury at. And then especially here in Matthew three,
-
verse ten, he says that the axe is already laid at the root of
-
the trees. Therefore, every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut
-
down and thrown into the fire. And the listeners should know by now.
-
But that is a direct reference to Isaiah chapter seven. I'm sorry, is
-
Isaiah chapter ten, where it talks about who that acts is the Assyrian,
-
the false prophet. So this is all this all ties together, Matthew.
-
And so if you don't, if you don't understand, if you don't go
-
back and read your your gospels and see the why John quotes it, why
-
why he says it, you know, and how he's tied it into what
-
is to come, you kind of you think something else is going on here
-
in Isaiah chapter forty, because because we've read I don't know how many times,
-
Matthew, we've read about the great day of the Lord, his coming,
-
what's gonna happen, the order of operations. So Isaiah forty kind of
-
how can I put this? It just kind of puts it a different way.
-
And and so you're not seeing what you expect to see, Matthew,
-
especially the first the first couple of verses of Isaiah chapter forty. So I
-
think that's that's what you're talking about there, this this different gospel that's being
-
preached. This. I mean, I'm hesitating my words, Matthew, because
-
I don't want to. I don't want to offend the Lord and what he's
-
what he's written in this chapter. But let's just say it doesn't it doesn't
-
ring like the Gospels ring. That that's that's the best way I can put
-
it. Right now, you're right, it doesn't ring like the Gospels ring
-
because it's lawless. Jose. Let me say that again. If you're familiar
-
with the prophetic narrative, if and you don't understand about the man of lawlessness
-
or what's talked about in well first John three four. Look, I could
-
go on and on and on. This is what lawlessness is. This is
-
what lawlessness is. It is telling everybody that you do not have to obey
-
any law. The gates of the Kingdom of Heaven have been blasted open by
-
free grace. You could literally pillage and rape your way into heaven. That's
-
lawlessness. That's what it is. So you should understand that when the Assyrian
-
false prophet comes speaking something else, it should rub you the wrong way.
-
So let me say it again. I already covered that. John the Baptist
-
started out by saying repent for the kingdom of heaven his hand. Jesus stated
-
the same thing. And then in those verses right there it says one will
-
come crying in the wilderness. That is directly quoting Isaiah chapter forty it's exactly,
-
not a little bit. It's exactly quoting Isaiah chapter forty. That's what
-
it's doing. And that should rub you the wrong late, ladies and gentlemen.
-
It should. Something's not right with that, because when you go and
-
read the narrative, ladies and gentlemen, that this is what he was quoting
-
from the one crying in the wilderness. Ladies, that is quoting Isaiah chapter
-
forty. So you would immediately think, well, the false prophecy is going
-
to come and do the same thing, tell everybody to repent, and get
-
everybody on the same page and say, oh, yeah, it's okay if
-
you're a Muslim, just repent and you'll be all right. No, that's
-
not what he does. Now we've probably got everybody chomping at the bit because
-
they want to know this. Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is true.
-
Look it up for yourself. This is Isaiah chapter forty, verse three,
-
just being quoted from here in Matthew chapter three, verse three. For
-
this is the one referred to by Isaiah. The prophet wanted this, said
-
the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ready the way for the
-
Lord, make his past trait This is directly quoting from what we're getting ready
-
to read, only it turns it on its head. It doesn't mention anything
-
about you repenting. No, you don't have to repent. That's not what
-
Isaiah chapter forty says. And if that doesn't rub you the wrong way and
-
chill you to the bone, it tells me something's drastically wrong anyway. So,
-
hose, why don't we take a read of this? Do you want
-
to read it? Or do you want me to? You're the one that
-
provided the commentary on this. Should I go ahead and read by Stanza?
-
Let you comment on it? We can do that, Matthew. Yeah,
-
So how much do you want me to take off in this first chunk,
-
first two verses? I guess because there's a lot there. Yeah, there
-
is. There's a magnificent amount right here in the first two verses. So,
-
ladies and gentlemen, it is the mainstay of this ministry that we always
-
read out of the New American Standard Bible, the ninety five update. That's
-
what we're reading from tonight. Comfort, Oh, comfort, my people,
-
says your God speak kindly to Jerusalem and call out to her that her warfare
-
has ended, that her iniquity has been removed, that she has received of
-
the Lord's in double for all her sins. Ose. So the first thing
-
I noticed, Matthew. Of course those words comfort, and to me,
-
that reminds me of John when when God Jesus tells us about the comforter sending
-
the So that that that to me, it reminds me of the Holy Spirit.
-
Right, That's that's where my head is when I read the first verse.
-
And so when I looked at that word comfort in Greek, it it
-
says paraclet. Right now, I don't think it's the exact same spelling as
-
paraclet in the Gospels, but it was close enough for me to again that
-
reminder the Holy Spirit, right that God's here, He's he's talking to His
-
Holy Spirit is what he uses to comfort us, Matthew right now, because
-
we don't have the Lord God in front of us, we don't have the
-
Lord Jesus Christ in front of us. So his Holy Spirit is here with
-
us. Again, if we are following those ten commandments, if we are
-
following the testimony of His son, those beattitudes, right, Matthew, Because
-
you well know that if we stray off of that path, that Holy Spirit.
-
He's going to keep banging our conscience. But if we ignore him,
-
eventually there's gonna be a point where where he he kind of lets lets us
-
go, turns us over to Satan. So so that first verse, that's
-
what That's what it was. What was reminded me of the Holy Spirit.
-
Okay. And so again it's not just it's not just reading these verses and
-
saying, oh, okay, so God said comfort, so that means the
-
Holy Spirit. No, why why is he saying that? Why is he
-
trying to point us so hard to the Holy Spirit. Well, well,
-
we know why, Matthew, because we've read We've read John wh when Jesus
-
says He's gonna send his Holy Spirit. Right, we we we've we understand,
-
we've read in all the epistles where it tells us if we don't act
-
a certain way, God's Holy Spirit can't reside in us. That's that's just
-
what he's repeated over and over. And so I'm really hoping that when people
-
read read the Bible that they try to remember everything that God said because it
-
all relates. So that's the first thing I saw, Matthew in that first
-
verse, that Paraclet so I'd like to get your opinion on why God uses
-
that word in that first verse. Well, Jose, you hit it right
-
on time, right on target. He's absolutely talking about the comfort term.
-
There is only one comforter, make no mistakes about it. There's only one
-
comforter. Now, it amazes me that this very word you know is used
-
in First Thessalonians, not only four now all of you know four seventeen right
-
now, it's in the very next verse in reference to who we just talked
-
about. So in First Uslonians, chapter four, verse eighteen, it says,
-
therefore, comfort one another with these words. It says the same exact
-
thing in First us Learnings chapter five, verse eleven. Therefore, encourage one
-
another and build each other up, just as you are also doing. You
-
know, everyone who studies Bible prophecy knows those two chapters. And that should
-
be chilling to everybody that's right there that I'm going to say something. And
-
if you've never heard this before, you need to write it down, ladies
-
and gentlemen. Anti Christ is never in the Book of Revelation. Let me
-
say that again. Anti Christ is not in the Book of Revelation. That
-
is used in other books of the Bible. Not in the Book of Revelation.
-
It's either in it's either used in First John or Second John. And
-
it's always the spirit of anti Christ. And I quote the children, it
-
is the last hour. And just as you have heard that Antichrist has come
-
in even now many anti Christ have appeared. From this we know that it
-
is the last hour. That's one John throw eighteen. In two twenty two
-
it says, who is a liar? But the one who denies that Jesus
-
is the Christ. This is the anti Christ, the one who denies the
-
Father and the Son one John four to three. Same thing, the spirit
-
of the Antichrist is mentioned in Second John one seventeen. This is the fever
-
and the Antichrist. That word Antichrist is never used in the Book of Relation.
-
The person that abhor the thing that opposes Christ in the Book of Revelation
-
is the beast. So you know that narrative, when you know this false
-
prophet is coming and all of a sudden, Isaiah chapter forty being quoted in
-
the Gospels as to why John came, Why is this saying you don't have
-
to repent? Who is coming forward saying, by the way, all your
-
sins are forgiven. God has punished you. Listen, ladies and gentlemen.
-
Isn't this ringing in your spirit? Listen to what is being said. Jesus
-
Christ forgives your sins. That's not what this is saying. This is saying
-
that God the Father has punished you, and because He's punished you, you
-
can enter the Kingdom of heaven. No, no, it's not. No,
-
it's not. Why is Isaiah chapter forty, verses one and two saying
-
this? Now we're getting ready to read on in verse three? This is
-
what's directly quoted in Matthew as I've already read it to you. So you
-
would think these first two verses would repeat the message. You would think this
-
is where John got it from. This is where John got it from.
-
Repent for the Kingdom of heaven? Is that hey? And because he knew
-
that he was fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah chapter forty. Right. No,
-
No, that's not what's happening here. John knew it, and so should
-
you. If this is the first time you figured that out. Oh my
-
goodness, ladies and gentlemen, you've got a lot of catching up to do.
-
Oda. Yeah, Matthew, I think it's really important that you pointed
-
out first Thesalonians five eleven because it says their comfort and edification. The King
-
James uses the word edification. But that's what we started off the program with.
-
That's that's that's what the Holy Spirit's job is for us while we're waiting,
-
while we're waiting for for our redemption. So it's it's really again,
-
I feel like I always I'm always repeating myself. I feel like we say
-
the same things over and over, Matthew. But that's because it all ties
-
together. And that's because God repeats himself. He's telling us obey his Holy
-
Spirit by doing his commandments, by following the testimony, and that's going to
-
result in your edification. And that's the only way you're going to understand what
-
you're supposed to do in on on that day when God comes by, when
-
God comes down, that's the only way you can endure the day of His
-
coming is by doing that. So it's it's it's it's just amazing how how
-
God does it, Matthew. And no matter what way you try to go
-
around it, he's just he just points out all these things and it's just
-
like Okay, okay, God, I get it. I get it.
-
So in verse two, Matthew, the phrase there that she has received from
-
the Lord's hand double for all her sins. I've been trying. I was
-
trying when I read this chapter. I've been trying to say, okay,
-
the way it's normally interpreted. Okay, they read the first part of that
-
verse, where it says that her warfare has ended, her iniquity has been
-
removed, and now she has received double for all her sins. And I've
-
heard various interpretations of these of this verse saying that means that she's been forgiven,
-
right, Jerusalem has been forgiven, all of her iniquities have been washed
-
away. But it just doesn't read like that to me, Matthew again,
-
because we don't see that repentance put in there, right. We don't see
-
Jerusalem has repented, had returned to the Lord. Okay, now boom,
-
here you go, here's your reward. Right. And so I looked up
-
that phrase double for all her sins, and I found it in a couple
-
of different places here in the Hebrew. It's age thirty seven eighteen is that
-
double? And the first one I found Matthew was in Jeremiah sixteen eighteen.
-
And first, I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double because they have
-
defiled my land. They have filled my inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable
-
and abominable things. So this here, Matthew, it's talking about you know,
-
the iniquity, right, it's talking about I don't see I don't see
-
any repentance in this verse here either, Matthew. And so you're getting the
-
inclination that God is punishing them for their sins double because of their defiloment,
-
because what they have done with the inheritance, right that that that word inheritance,
-
that that ties right into to Malachi chapter three, which we're going to
-
hit on as we continue, because that tells us about Eson Jacob Esa disregard
-
his inheritance. That's why God loved Jacob. Again God tying all these things
-
together. But that's the first instance of this double doubling of sin that that
-
I found, Matthew. And again, this to me, is is taking
-
on that other connotation. This is not this is not a good thing Matthew
-
that I'm reading in this in this this set of verses, here in Jeremiah
-
sixteen, I absolutely agree it's not good at all. I mean, I
-
know with familiarity here in my chapter sixteen, it's not good at all.
-
And you know the phraseology of this, the way it's putting it, You
-
know that she's being comforted right well. It also speaks of jose Chapter two,
-
verse fourteen. Therefore behold, I will allure her, bring her into
-
the wilderness, and speak kindly to her. Now I've probably piqued a few
-
people's attention, like, what, wait a minute, did you say verse
-
three talked about the crying in the wilderness. Amen? So when Joseiah says
-
that you probably should be worried. But anyway, I digress. Shall we
-
go ahead and read the next couple of verses, hose or how far more
-
do you want me to read? Yeah? Yeah, we can, we
-
can read. We can continue reading. Yeah, if you want to go
-
go ahead read the verse eight that that should be good. Matthew, okay,
-
verse eight. So, starting with verse three, a voice is calling
-
clear the way for the Lord, and the wilderness makes smooth and the desert
-
highway for our God. Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain
-
and hill may blow, and let the rough ground become a plain, and
-
the rugged terrain a broad valley. Then the glory of the Lord will be
-
revealed, and all flesh will see it. Throgether. For the mouth of
-
the Lord has spoken, a voice says call out. Then he answered,
-
what shall I call out? Oh? Bless is grass and all its loveliness
-
is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades
-
when the breath of the Lord blows upon it. Surely the people are grass.
-
The grass withers, the fowl, the flower fades. But the word
-
that where God stands forever. O. Well, Matthew, this is this
-
is talking about the day of Lord. I mean this to me, is
-
is the sixth seal event you see here where it tells us that He's gonna
-
lift up every valley and every mountain will be made low. This is this
-
is God coming to set set the earth straight. There there there's I just
-
you just kind of avoid the understanding that this is that sixth Seal event.
-
What what is actually happened physically happening to the earth here and the other thing
-
that points us to the fact that this is that sixtieal event that Great Day
-
of the Lord, Matthew. Is if we go back to Matthew chapter three,
-
where Isaiah forty is quoted from, and you go to verse seven,
-
and what John the Baptist says to the Pharisees and the Sadducees. He says,
-
you, brute of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath
-
to come? What wrath is he talking about, Matthew. He's talking about
-
the wrath of God there he's talking about. That's why everyone's trying to run
-
and repent, because they understand that if John the Baptist is doing his ministry
-
and he's fulfilling or he's pointing everyone to Isaiah chapter forty, that they know
-
that the Great Day of the Lord is coming, and so they're trying to
-
go over there, and they're trying to, you know, after all their
-
sins and all their iniquity, they're trying to get over there and get baptized
-
at the last minute and come in under the wire. So, I mean,
-
that's just what these verses are pointing to me, Matthew. And that's
-
why the first two verses of Isaiah kind of seem Isaiah forty kind of seem
-
out of place. I would expect those to come after he tells us about
-
the Great Day of the Lord, after he tells us about what he does
-
when he when he steps foot. This this is why why he sends the
-
false prophet, Matthew, This is why he sends the Assyrian that acts is
-
to cut down all this iniquity too well to be the Lord's hammer before before
-
he sends his son down. So you know that that's just that's just what
-
I'm seeing here, Matthew, in these verses is God's telling us about that
-
sixth seal. He's telling us what He's gonna do when he comes down.
-
And and that's what John the Baptist is preaching in those gospels. Absolutely,
-
absolutely, absolutely. But you know, you've probably said some things that shock
-
people, because well, most people don't know that the Great Day of the
-
lord's a sixth ill event. They don't realize that. One Fsalonians chapter five
-
plainly states that it's the Great Day of the Lord that starts the tribulation and
-
it's the perusia of Christ that ends it. But that is what it says,
-
yep. And when you know that, when you realize that and you
-
familiarize yourself with the prophetic narrative. I mean, let's talk about is Ecn
-
chapter twenty. I mean, God is really forthright in what he speaks there
-
about what he is exactly going to do. And it bows my mind that
-
people thinks he's going to do something else. I never quite understand it.
-
Really, you think he's going to do something else. No, that's that's
-
not what he says in Ezeko chapter twenty. So just so you know,
-
ladies and gentlemen, he comes right out and and and tells you what he's
-
going to do. And it's it's I mean, if you thought, I
-
guess you could think it was pretty, but I assure you it's not.
-
It's it's not pretty what he says he's going to do. But yet,
-
you know, when you disconnect Ezekiel chapter twenty, if you disconnect it from
-
Romans chapters nine through eleven, well it's okay because it means somebody else.
-
It's not talking about Christians. Oh yes it is, Oh yes it is.
-
Oh yes it is. It's exactly talking about Christians. But people just
-
have a hard time, you know, they have a hard time processing it,
-
and it is hard to process. But this is what God says he's
-
going to do. He's going to execute the Great Day of the Lord,
-
and he's going to shepherd you much like he did those forty years for the
-
children of Israom in the wilderness. That is what he says he's going to
-
do. Now, if you don't realize that, well, you would really
-
be lost and disoriented in the biblical narrative. I mean, would all seem
-
well rather confusing if you didn't know this simple fact that God plainly states that
-
the Great Day of the Lord begins the tribulation and it ends with the perusia
-
of Christ. Yes, it does say that plainly. Read once again,
-
write this down first. Thesalonians chapter five slays it out for you, point
-
by point, and he tells you how he's going to get you from point
-
A to point B. He says he's going to project in Greek the soma
-
psyche numa. That that's what he says. That's how you're going to get
-
there. So, boy, we're really burning up the time here to say.
-
Yeah, I point out one quick thing, Matthew here. Isaiah forty
-
is often quoted along with Malachi chapter three in the Gospels, and they have
-
a lot of the same phrasing. But Malachi chapter three talks to us about
-
refinement, talks to us about judgment, smelting this kind of phraseology. But
-
in verse seven and Malachi chapter three, he says, from the days of
-
your father's you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them.
-
Returned to me and I will return to us as the Lord of hosts.
-
But you say, how shall we return? There's that repentance right there,
-
Matthew. Malachi chapter three clearly points out the repentance aspect that that we've been,
-
that we've been pushing, pushing towards. So I just wanted to point
-
out that that contrast there to what's being said. Absolutely, So should we
-
continue on reading or you have more? Well? One last point, the
-
word voice in in verse three h six nine sixty three is the same voice
-
that's in Genesis twenty one, verse seventeen. God heard the lad crying,
-
and the Angel of God called the Hagar from heaven and said to you,
-
what is the matter with you? Hagar? Okay, the woman and the
-
child in the wilderness. This points us back to Revelation chapter twelve. So
-
even though he's telling us about the six yel event, Matthew. He's also
-
telling us that he's going to protect the woman and the child. So that's
-
just a quick point that people can can read that chapter and study more in
-
depth and read Revelation chapter twelve. But again, God, God keeps repeating
-
himself. He keeps tying all of his word together, and it's perfect.
-
Matthew, it is all right. I think I'll go ahead and read to
-
the end of the chapters. That is that well with you? Yep,
-
that's good, yep, all right. Picking it up in verse nine,
-
get yourself up on a high mountain, O Zion, bearer of good news,
-
Lift up your voice mightily, O Jerusalem, bearer of good news,
-
lift it up. Do not fear. Say to the cities of Judah,
-
here is your God. Behold, the Lord will come with might, with
-
his arm ruling for him. Behold his rewards with him, and his recompense
-
before him. Like a shepherd. He will tend his flock in his arms.
-
He will gather the lambs and carry them in his bosom. He will
-
gently leave the nursing ethes, who has measured the waters in the hollow of
-
his hand and marked off the heavens by the span, and calculated the dust
-
of the earth by measure, and weighed the mountains and the balance and the
-
heels in a pair of scales. Who has directed the spirit of the Lord
-
or his counselor has informed him, Whether whom did he consult and gave him
-
understanding? And who taught him the path of justice and talking knowledge and informed
-
him of the understanding. Behold, the nations are like a drop from a
-
bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on the scales. Behold,
-
he lifts up the islands like fine dust. Even Lebanon is not enough
-
to burn, nor it's beast enough for a burnt offering. All the nations
-
are nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing and
-
meaningless. To who, then, will you like it? God? Or
-
what likeness can you compare with him? As for the idol, a craftsman
-
cast it, a goldsmith plaits it with gold, and silversmith fastens chains of
-
silver. He who is too impoverished for such an offering, selects the tree
-
that does not rot. He seeks out himself as fiel for craftsmen to prepare
-
an idol that will not totter. Do you not know? Have you not
-
heard? It has been declared to you from the beginning? You have not
-
understood from the foundation of the earth. It is he who sits above the
-
circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out
-
that heavens like a curtain, and spreads the melt like a tent to dwell
-
in. He it is who reduces rules to nothing, who makes the judges
-
of the earth meaningless. Scarcely they have been planted, Scarcely they have been
-
sown. Scarcely has their stock taking root in the earth. But He merely
-
blows on them, and they wither, and the storm carries them away like
-
stubble. To whom, then will you liken me that I would be hissy
-
for, says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and
-
see who has created these stars, or the one who leads forth their host
-
by number and calls them by name, because of the greatness of his life
-
and the strength of his power. Not one of them is missing. Why
-
do you say, oh Jacob, and assert, oh Israel, my way
-
is hidden from the Lord and the justice. Do me escape the notice of
-
my God? Do you not know have you not heard the Everlasting God,
-
the Lord, the creator the ends of the yearth does not become weary or
-
tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and
-
to him who lacks might. He increases power. Though youth go weary and
-
tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly. Yet those who wait for the
-
Lord will gain new strength. They will mount up with wing like eagles.
-
They will run and not grow tired. They will walk and not become weary.
-
Oz boy, Matthew, we might as well have just read a book
-
of Revelation, right, because I just kept I just kept hearing that when
-
you were reading. The first thing I want to point out is the parent
-
prophecy in verse twelve, Matthew. And again we see that in Genesis twenty
-
two and Genesis thirteen, where God tells Abraham that his children will be as
-
numerous as the stars and as numerous as the sand of the seashore. And
-
it's just that promise that God said that he's going to have part of abraham
-
seed with him in heaven, as depicted in Revelation chapter fourteen, that we've
-
called the Moschayim, that we've got those in Revelation chapter seven and Revelation chapter
-
twenty that rule and ring with Jesus Christ on earth, and those are the
-
stand of the seashore. So this is just another way that God's reminding us
-
of what he is, what He's promised, what he's what he's that that
-
covenant that he made with Abraham, and that us being children of Abraham,
-
that we fall under. Boy. Uh, you see Revelation chapter thirteen in
-
verses eighteen through twenty, Matthew, where it's talking about the false prophet and
-
the image of the beast. I mean, he's he's directly firing arrows at
-
the false prophet there, Matthew, about what he's trying to do, you
-
know, And he's and he's letting us know if we're in that position where
-
we're the ones that are that that that are being told about down and worship
-
that idol, he's reminding us who who he is, and and that it's
-
better for us to to lose our head than to than to take that mark
-
and worship that beast. That that's that's what he's pointing out, Matthew.
-
And then you know, then we're taking the eagles wings I mean that's Revelation
-
chapter twelve where the woman is taken to a place that's been prepared. This
-
is all. This is all God putting this all here to remind us of
-
what we're supposed to be doing in between that period where he comes back,
-
that great Day of the Lord and the Prusia of Christ. Like you,
-
like you've repeated over and over, Matthew, He's given us detailed instructions here
-
and detailed reminders of what he said and what we're supposed to be doing,
-
Matthew. And then, boy, I saw Revelation chapter fourteen. Let me
-
see if I can find the verse, but basically where God says that he's
-
he leaves this host, and it says right here that the that not one
-
of them is missing, right his whole, all the stars that he created,
-
not one is missing. So when you read in Revelation chapter twelve where
-
Satan takes the third of the stars, well, God's telling you that he's
-
got replacements coming. And that's what he talks to us about in Revelation chapter
-
fourteen, those that he's part of that parent prophecy that God said is going
-
to replace that third that falls out of heaven Matthew. So he's good.
-
I mean, you almost don't need to read Revelation after reading this chapter,
-
Matthew, I absolutely agree. He kind of stole my thunder there. That's
-
what I was going to say, was, you know verse twenty six.
-
You got major problems here because Revelation chapter twelve, verse four plainly states that
-
will Satan sweeps out a third of the stars from the sky. We know
-
that's directly referenced in the sixth seal event right, no doubt about it.
-
Yep. So what is God talking about here? How can that be possible
-
if he loses a third of them? Well, it is answered in the
-
riddle. I mean, this is a great riddle, bit God, God
-
says something that will it's disturbing. It says that he's going to shepherd us,
-
right, but then it says that he will take the little hue.
-
Now, now listen directly, I'll readdirectly from it. Here he's talking about
-
somebody like a shepherd. He will can his flock and his army, will
-
gather the lamps and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead the
-
nursing hughes. Will this screams well, ladies and John wutn't we just cut
-
to the chase because we're so low on time. This is quoted. This
-
is answered in Isaiah chapter twenty six. He comes right out and tells you
-
what he's going to do with those children. And a lot of people get
-
shocked when they hear this, but well, this is true. He does,
-
say, Isaiah chapter twenty six, exactly what he intends to do.
-
And if you don't know that, if you can't see it, oh my
-
goodness. But just take note. So he mentioned two the little lambs,
-
and then he mentions the hues that are in his arms. Now, look,
-
ladies and gentlemen, this is a whole lot more prophetic than you thought.
-
If you've never heard this before, tonight listen. This is straight from
-
Isaiah chapter twenty six. As a pregnant woman approaches the time to give birth,
-
she ries and cries out in labor pains. Thus we were before you,
-
ohlud, We were pregnant, we writhed in labor, we gave birth.
-
As it seems only to wind, we could not accomplish deliverance for the
-
earth, nor were the inhabitants of the world born. Ladies and gentlemen,
-
on the Great Day of the Lord. You just thought all the babies were
-
going to You thought one of two things. Either all the babies were going
-
to go through the tribulation and have a very short lifespan, you know,
-
killed by war and plague and all that. Because you've only got one other
-
option. God takes them with him to Mount Zion, just like he depicted
-
in the Book of Obadidah, because that's what verse twenty one states. Somebody's
-
going to Mount Zion with him. That group is illicitly detailed in Revelations chapter
-
fourteen. And he come out in Isaiah chapter forty, and he did tell
-
you there were three groups. There's adults, there's young children, and then
-
there's the other ones that are prophetically it is bosom ladies and gentlemen. That's
-
prophetic burbage there. For in the womb we have this same type of phraseology
-
strength from the Book of Deuteronomy. God makes himself perfectly clear. All you
-
people that rebelled against me, you're dead. But your little ones who did
-
not know right from wrong, they was exempt from that punishment. Jose No,
-
I think you're hitting the nail right on the head. Matthew. It's
-
just it's it's, and I know it's sometimes it's it's, it's, it's
-
a little it's. It's a little difficult for me, Matthew, studying this
-
chapter because you know how I study, You know how I how I like
-
to search out the original words in the original language and and tie them into
-
all these different verses. But there's a lot of places in here where where
-
there's words that only appear in this chapter, and so trying to trying to
-
seek that out and trying to see what God's trying to tell me by by
-
doing that is I don't want to say it's difficult, but it's it's kind
-
of like when God talked, when Jesus speaks in parables, right, he
-
doesn't come out and tell you exactly what he's talking about. But if you
-
if you have ears to hear and as they can see, you can understand
-
what he's telling you. And that's what he's doing here in this chapter,
-
Matthew. You can kind of read this through and it can kind of be
-
like comforting words. Okay, God's you know, prophetic language, poetic language,
-
and you can read it that way. But if you've been studying your
-
word, been studying your your Hebrew and your Greek, and honestly, just
-
remembering what he said in the book Revelation. You know what God's talking about
-
here, and and so that's what I'm hoping that people take away from the
-
study. God tells you over and over what he's going to do. He
-
shows you what is to come. And so if we just read his word
-
and again, you have to have the Holy Spirit with you, Matthew.
-
And the only way to have the Holy Spirit residing in you is to be
-
following those ten commandments and to be following the Beatitudes. He tells you exactly
-
what to do here in verse nine on that great day, to get yourself
-
up on a high mountain and let everyone know that God is coming. That's
-
what we're supposed to be doing. That's what John the Baptist was preaching in
-
the Gospels. That that's why he tells us to repent, for the Kingdom
-
of Heaven is at hand. Right. That's him on that on that mountain,
-
crying out to everyone and and preparing the way for the Lord. So
-
this is just this is just an amazing chapter. Matthew. Boy, I
-
don't know, I mean, we didn't even we didn't even scratch the surface
-
of what God's telling us. But he's he's repeating over and over what he's
-
going to do. He's repeating over and over what he told Abraham. He's
-
repeating over and over what John the Baptist told us, what his son told
-
us, and the gospels. And it's a beautiful thing, Matthew, And
-
this is this is what the church needs to be studying, not not all
-
these other issues that that are bouncing around. Absolutely, let me let me
-
end with this. You know, he's stating that, ladies and gentlemen,
-
it is obvious why this was stated here to run to the top of the
-
mountain, because surely you all understand that verses eighteen through twenty here is talking
-
about the false prophet and the image of the beast. I'll read straight from
-
Matthew chapter twenty four, verse fifteen. You already know this. Therefore,
-
when you see the abomination of desolation which is spoken through Daniel, the prophets
-
standing in the Holy place, let the reader understand, then those who were
-
in Judea to do what what are they supposed to do? Isaiah chapter forty
-
told you they must flee to the mountains. Did I just shock you,
-
ladies and gentlemen. Well this also why is a few vers later it talks
-
about those lambs and nursing youes verse nineteen. But what of those who are
-
pregnant and those who are nursing babies in those days? Gentlemen, God didn't
-
write the Bible to confuse you. He's actually explaining everything to you, verse
-
by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book. He's laying it out
-
for you. Jose Can you take us out of here in prayer? Please?
-
Absolutely, Matthew, Dear heavenly Father, I continue to give you thanks
-
and praise for giving us your holy spirit to comfort us and edify us,
-
to guide us in this study, to allow us to share with the body
-
your word. Lord. I study it every day, and I try to
-
put it in my heart. And I asked that you soften my heart so
-
that your words may reside there, so that I may follow your commandments,
-
and that I may follow your testimony. Lord. I also also pray this
-
for the Church, for your body, for your ecclesia. Please, Lord,
-
do not let go those ninety nine that you have in your hand,
-
that flock that you've gathered. Please hold to him fast, allow them to
-
be a light and assault to the earth, Father, so that you may
-
leave us and grab that last sheep. Father. And I just ask that
-
you I pray for the this ministry. I pray for those listening to this
-
word. Please comfort them, please heal us, and above all, please
-
allow us to remember your son and what you've promised us. Lord. And
-
we ask all this in the name of your son, our Lord and Savior,
-
Jesus Christ. Amen, Amen and Amen. Until next time, ladies
