Do you know the Bible is God's Holy Word? Do you know it is
-
inspired, in errant, and infallible? If so, like, share,
-
subscribe and support this podcast. So we are Mere Nathal Ministries and now Reduction
-
Draweth Nigh. Welcome, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the program. We're
-
your host, Jose and Matthew. Tonight, me and Jose were fighting back
-
and forth what to do. We couldn't come up with anything, and then
-
Jose decided that the Lord was putting on his heart to do something. So
-
Jose, just go ahead and take the reins. Sure, man, Matthew.
-
So we've been we've been discussing the bad shepherds, right, That's a
-
lot of our shows have been recently kind of calling them to task, kind
-
of warning the shepherds of today about the dangers of not not being a shepherd
-
to God's flock, the mortal dangers that that that entails. And so that
-
just kind of got me down a path thinking of how a shepherd who was
-
raising the church, who went to some kind of Bible school, whether it's
-
seminary or a Bible college or you know who I mean. I have to
-
think, Matthew, that at some point in their Christian walk, they love
-
the Lord, and I have to think that at some point they're trying to
-
help people and and do something, and then you know, they start they
-
start taking that wrong path and they start to fall into these traps and they
-
end up falling under that judgment that we've that we've been reading about in Jeremiah
-
and Isaiah, you know, Ezekiel in Revelation. So that's that's what kind
-
of got the gears turning for me. And also in my daily reading,
-
I've been going through Galatians, so kind of having stuff click together. The
-
other portion of this, Matthew, is when we took our summer break,
-
I took the time to kind of listen to different videos that arguments against Christianity,
-
arguments against the Bible, arguments against God. Just trying to see what
-
people out there were saying, what their contentions were, and trying to study
-
to have have an answer to those questions. Matthew. I mean, that's
-
if we're going to preach the gospel, we have to have those those answers
-
that they're ready. We have to be studied up. We can't be sitting
-
there hemming and hying and saying, well, just believe Eve, because that's
-
not that's not an answer for for someone that's seeking. So one of the
-
main contentions that I've been listening to and hearing is this whole Well, Jesus
-
in the New Testament did away with the Old Testament and did away with the
-
law. So now we don't have to follow all those those laws that we're
-
in the Old Testament. That we have a certain amount of freedom in the
-
Gospel and in Christ. And of course, you know, the people that
-
bring up these these arguments, you know, they twist the words that that
-
Paul says a lot. You know that that that are in the epistles,
-
they twist a lot of those words and try to say, well, basically
-
that that the course of the New Testament are are evil because they're contradicting what
-
God said in the Old Testament. And we know that's not true. Man,
-
we know that's not As Christians, we believe the Old New Testament,
-
we believe the Law, and we believe the Gospels. We believe the testimony
-
of Jesus Christ and what He's given us. So how do you how do
-
you rectify these things? How do how do these things play out? Not
-
only today in our lives, but also prophetically, because that's ultimately where this
-
is going. Matthew, your ministry, and the reason why I've been following
-
your ministry for so long is because when you bring prophecy into it, it
-
really answers a lot of questions on these theological issues. And also to me,
-
at least, it cements a lot of my understanding and strengthens a lot
-
of what I believe because I know what I know prophetically what is to come,
-
and so that is why I'm able to understand some of these more more
-
difficult items. Right. So, matt if I'm if I'm stumbling, and
-
you see me stumbling, all you, as a brother have to do to
-
me, who is raised as a Christian his whole life, all you have
-
to do is say, hey, take commandments, say don't don't lie,
-
and right away, if the if, if the Holy Spirit is with me,
-
right, if I've been reading my Bible and if I've been praying,
-
Matthew, that should be a trigger to get me to stop my tracks.
-
And I have a brother in Christ who's who's who's reprimanding me. And I
-
said, listen, and you know, start doing the right thing. Right
-
if I if I, if you see me arguing with my brother, and
-
then I'm sitting down to come do one of these shows, Matthew, as
-
a brother in Christ, you're going to stop me and you're gonna say no,
-
you need to go rectify that situation before you even attempt to preach God's
-
word. Is that correct? That is absolutely correct, because you cannot muddy
-
the water of the Holy Spirit. I'm just going to say that point blank.
-
I don't have trouble saying it because I've experienced it my whole life,
-
right So from my experience, Matthew, that stops me right there. And
-
so I don't have to think too hard on some of these theological issues because
-
I've been raised as a Christian my whole life, and I've heard it my
-
whole life, and it's kind of ingrained in me, and so I don't
-
need to reason these things out. Matthew's right, I'm not following the Ten
-
Commandments, I'm not following the Beatitudes. So I need to fix myself right
-
here, right now. Okay, So sometimes wet myself, I would say,
-
I'll speak for myself, Matthew. In my Christian walk, sometimes I
-
overlook some of these reasonings that are given in a lot of these epistles like
-
Galatians and the reason why we believe what we believe and why we practice our
-
Christianity a certain way, and so Galatians five. I mean, how many
-
times have we read it on this on these on these programs, Matthew,
-
how many times have we talked about it? Right, It's one of the
-
key things that you can do to see if you're operating in the spirit or
-
if you're operating by the flesh. The fruits are the spirit versus the deeds
-
of the flesh, straight list, right, There, no no two ways
-
about it. God lays it out. God says, if you're right,
-
this is what you're doing. If you're wrong, this is what you're doing.
-
And and and it's a really good way for us to check ourselves to
-
see if we're being being a Christian or not. Correct Matthew, that's absolutely
-
correct. Yes. So, as I was reading this week, with all
-
of these other questions in my head that we've been talking about, I had
-
a little bit God gave me a little bit better understanding to some of the
-
questions that that I've heard posed about Christianity. Right, So, if we're
-
If we believe in God and we believe in the Old Testament, well we
-
have to follow the law. But if we're Christians and believe in Jesus,
-
well now we don't have to follow the law. And people can take that.
-
People can push the the they can push the direction either way. Matthew.
-
You can either follow law so much that you become what's called the judaizer
-
in the New Testament, or you can follow the testimony so much that you
-
think you have liberty to do commit any sins and you're covered by the blood.
-
You're covered by the cross because Jesus died for all of our sins.
-
So therefore any sins that I commit, I'm good, So I don't need
-
to worry about that. Okay, Now we know that those two things are
-
contradictory, Matthew. Those two things can't can't hold up. And we know
-
that God is true and God is faithful. So what he's the law that
-
he's laid down is still true. And what he's told us about his son
-
dying on the cross for us is also true. So how how do we
-
rectify these two points? So I'll let you chime in, Matthew, before
-
I continue, Well, you know this is the major contention here. You
-
have you have presented the the two extremes and boys so easy to fall into
-
the Hebrew roots judy idlers. And then you have the opposite end of the
-
spectrum, which you said that, oh, Christ covered everything we're going to
-
do. That's the free gracers. That's antiinobiism. That's there. You go.
-
You got the two ends of the spectrum. The narrow gate is right
-
between the two. Amen. Amen, And that's what's in Galatians chapter five
-
if you pay attention again, right in the middle of the chapter. So
-
I'm going to read a few verses here Matthews, starting in verse sixteen.
-
But I say, walk by the spirit, and you will not carry out
-
the desire of the flesh, for the flesh sets its desire against the spirit,
-
and the spirit against the flesh, for these are in opposition to one
-
another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But
-
if you are led by the spirit, you are not under the law.
-
And then you get your list Matthew starting verse nineteen, Right, the deeds
-
of the flesh. So what God is saying here in Galatians is the law
-
is true. The law is gonna hold. But if you believe in my
-
son, you believe that he died for your sins, and he died in
-
the cross for you, and you believe in the redemption that God will bring
-
to us through his son. Then he said his Holy Spirit to you,
-
Matthew. And when you receive that spirit, you've repented of your sins.
-
You've been baptized by the Holy Spirit. And now you're walking by the spirit.
-
And if you are, Matthew, then you're not gonna be participating in
-
those deeds of the flesh. You will be walking by the spirit. Now,
-
if you were to stumble into those deeds of the flesh, now you
-
are no longer walking by the Holy Spirit, Matthew. Now that law comes
-
into effect. So that's kind of where I want to start the conversation at
-
because I'm trying to rectify how these shepherds, who you know, at least
-
a portion of them repented at one point in their life, accepted Christ as
-
their savior at one point in their life, but they've fallen back into their
-
sin, they've fallen back into those deeds of the flesh, Matthew. So
-
that that's where I'll start the discussion if you want to add anything to that,
-
well, I do take umbrage with that, because you know, I
-
have an intimate knowledge of how the church has been overthrown. Now to the
-
person setting in the pew, what you've said is true. However, I
-
do need to warn everybody about this. I have met an entire host of
-
pastors that was never, at any point in their life a Christian. I
-
have met some that were even funded evil and wicked entities had funded them to
-
go get a theological degree for the specific purpose of destroying the church. But
-
yes, as a general rule, what you've stated is true. I went
-
to an institution of higher learning with many of these people. I mean when
-
I was there, I was in the Christian Ministry Majors dormitory. Now,
-
the shocking thing about that is is that right now I only know one of
-
them that are still in ministry out of the entire dorm all three floors.
-
So but let's get back to your point. This is true that most of
-
the people you're talking about, the traditional Christians, at some point in time
-
they let their will superseded for some rhymes some reason, the will of the
-
spirit. And that really is what we're looking at. Here When you read
-
verse seventeen, you really can't see it in English, but this last phraseology
-
says, so that you may not do the things that you please, this
-
word here in Greek, you need to know, you need to understand that
-
that's will or wish, it's what you want to do. So this is
-
stating very clearly in the Greek that there is what the spirit wants and there's
-
what the flash wants, and these two things are very separate things. And
-
it's key that everybody knows what the new Covenant is. If you don't know
-
what the new Covenant is, yeah, wow, if you don't know what
-
the new Covenant is, you really are behind the curve. Because this is
-
screaming to me the new Covenant, and because I know the New Covenant of
-
course from Jeremiah. But it's best to get it in the Book of Hebrews.
-
Let me jump over there real quick a Hebrews chapter eight, starting at
-
verse seven. Now, now this is basically a major quotation from the Book
-
of Jeremiah, but I think it's better to get it here. For if
-
that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for
-
a second. For the finding fault with them, he says. The whole
-
days are coming, says the Lord, when I will affect a new covenant
-
with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah, not like the
-
covenant I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the
-
end to lead them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not
-
continue in my covenant, and I did not care for them, says the
-
Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the House of
-
Israel. After those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws
-
into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. And I
-
will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall
-
not teach everyone his fellow citizen, and everyone his brother, saying know the
-
Lord, for all will know me, from the least to the greatest of
-
them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will remember
-
their stents no more. Verse thirteen, when he said at new covenant,
-
he has made the first obsolete. But whatever is coming up, whatever is
-
becoming obsolete and growing old, is ready to disappear. Here God makes himself
-
perfectly clear. You are not going to teach each other written laws. God
-
is stating this mechanism. Of course, we know what the mechanism is.
-
We know what the promise was. It happened ten days after Ascension tide.
-
We know that's when Pentecosts happened, and we were filled with the Holy Spirit.
-
We that is the Church. So from that point forward, everything that
-
Galatians chapter five, now it makes sense. God is going to come to
-
us individually in individual circumstances, in individual situations, and He will guide you
-
and lead you unto all truth. This is emphatically what is being said.
-
So knowing this, this is why Galatians then starts out with the list.
-
Look, if you're not walking by the spirit, you're going to be doing
-
these things. And anyone doing these things, you can take this by the
-
bank. They are not walking by the spirit. So this list that Galatians
-
gives its paramount to the church. If you see somebody calling themselves a Christian
-
and they are practic seeing something in this list, they are not what they
-
say they are. They're absolutely not what they say they are. John Gomez
-
is wanting to jump in here. What do you think about that? I'm
-
okay with that. Matthew, all right, well, let me see how
-
I can do it. Well. While you're doing that, I want to
-
read a few more verses of Galatian Chapter five, just to go off of
-
what you're just talking about. In verse twenty two, it tells us that
-
the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
-
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such things there's no
-
law. Now, those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with
-
its passions and desire. Years. So the reason why I read that,
-
Matthew, is because again maybe it's just because I don't have as much experience
-
with the clergy and in ministry. It's those are hardwares what you said about
-
the the pastors that we have today, hardwares that you said. And so
-
I'm struggling with that, right because that's not the church I grew up in.
-
But what it brings to mind is if I go over to Romans nine
-
and God tells us that he's he is the potter, and with his clay,
-
he's made some vessels for honorable use, but he's also appointed some vessels
-
for wrath and for destruction, and he endures those vessels with patients until the
-
time. So with those two with those two chapters, out of those two
-
chapters that I read of Matthew, that makes sense. That's what you're telling
-
me, that you have two vessels. Essentially you have to to uh,
-
two pieces of a clay that God's made and one's honorable and one's not.
-
And that's hard to swallow for me. But it's the truth. Yes,
-
unfortunately, it is the truth. But I did have to bring that to
-
two people's attention. I had to. I had to bring it to their
-
attention. And that's that's just the way it is. It's it's an unfortunate
-
thing. Uh. But you know, let's get John Mark Gomez's uh view
-
on the matter. John. It's been a while. How are you doing,
-
buddy, I'm good, Matthew can hear me? Oh? I can
-
hear you? Just fine? Oh, hose, Why don't you describe what
-
we're talking about in a short synopsis of Let's get J Andg's take on it.
-
Hey, John, how you doing? Hey? I'm good? How
-
you doing? Real good? So we're kind of going through Galatians chapter five,
-
trying to walk through the judaisers and walk through the antinomian Antiinomianists, right,
-
those people that say that we're once saved, always saved, and trying
-
to find that narrow gate. Matthew put it that way, that's kind of
-
appropriate for how we can both still be both fulfill the law but also fulfill
-
the testimony of Jesus. Walk by the spirit a SENSEI right. And that's
-
what Galatians five is telling us, is that if we walk by the spirit,
-
we won't participate in those deeds of the flesh. And that if you
-
are participating in the deeds of the flesh, not only do you not walk
-
by the spirit, but you're not of Jesus Christ. I mean, that's
-
what Galatian tells us. It says those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified
-
the flesh with its passions and desires. And so you know, God's telling
-
us that if we're walking by the Holy Spirit, then we are fulfilling the
-
law, because he tells us what that spirit is, right, the fruits
-
of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
-
faithfulness, gentleness, self control, those are the fruits of the spirit.
-
And if we're doing that, then there's no way that we're violating God's
-
law. And we've been going we've been stepping through oh chapters and Ezekie old
-
chapters in Jeremiah where it talks about the judgment of the bad shepherds, the
-
slaughter of the shepherds. What's going to happen to them reflects what are told
-
in Revelation chapter thirteen. That's why those people have to endure the tribulation because
-
they essentially were not walking by the spirit, and so they've they've in order
-
for them to be saved God, God has to essentially steal them too.
-
But they have to end up losing their losing their head for not worshiping the
-
beast. So that's kind of what we're what we're talking about right now,
-
and how those shepherds could be in the church even though we know that the
-
God's Holy Spirit is in the church, but how do we have these bad
-
shepherds also that are preaching against the gospel. So that that's kind of where
-
we're at right now. John, Okay, I mean, I think,
-
I mean, I've always kind of thought that I think the reason why they're
-
still in the church, you know, is because you know, there's a
-
lot of people who simply don't know scripture and just kind of trust the teachers
-
that they're listening to. They don't know how to really study it, they
-
don't know how to really dig in. And uh, I don't think a
-
lot of people question things a lot of the time. But it comes down
-
to when people really get If people are getting saved out there, you know,
-
and they're they're getting into it by the Holy Spirit, there's they're gonna
-
know something's wrong. Especially if they even just read the Bible at its surface
-
level, they'll know that something is weird with whatever they're being taught this,
-
you know, right, right, But yeah, I mean I think it's
-
I think it's allowed maybe to you know, sift people out. Maybe maybe
-
that's the case. I'm not really sure. Well, I would have to
-
agree, because that's that that is the That is the root of the new
-
Covenant that I just read from. That is the root of it. Let's
-
let's take a look at it again and listen very carefully to what actually states
-
because it's massively important. It states that. Let's see here, for this
-
is the covenant that I will make with the House of Israel. After those
-
days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their minds,
-
and I will write them on their hearts. So this is exactly what John
-
is talking about. Even the people that are novus, these people that love
-
the Lord and all these cues, something will not be right. And God
-
just said He's going to promise you this. This is what the Holy Spirit
-
does. The Holy Spirit will tell you something's not kosher here, something is
-
not right, and your heart will bother you. Your conscience will literally become
-
energized, and whatever is being said, whatever is being taught, it will
-
not ring true. I mean, there's such a difficult way for me to
-
put this if people don't have never experienced it, But this is the truth.
-
It doesn't matter how intelligent you are. It doesn't matter if you know
-
Greek, it doesn't matter if you know Hebrew. I bear testimony to this.
-
I have been around many people because I spent a lot of time volunteering
-
at Shepherd Community. I watched it many times. These people would be of
-
low IQ, but the Spirit would greatly lead them and you could not pull
-
one over on them because they knew what was right, almost almost as if
-
it were they were born with the law in their heart. Now, of
-
course there's six hundred and thirteen laws. That doesn't cover a majority of the
-
situations that we're in today. And that's just the truth. I mean,
-
let's talk about all the positive laws that deal with owning a slave. Ladies
-
and gentlemen. You can't own slaves today. So you've been taken a great
-
swathe of the six hundred and thirteen laws out right there. But the Lord,
-
our God, once he ascended to heaven, he promised the Holy Spirit,
-
which was sent on Pentecost what the Hebrews call Chavuote. And since that
-
time God has done this very thing. He has written it on our hearts
-
and our minds that what's going on will not ring true. And when something
-
is not ringing true, your mind is telling you something's not right, and
-
your heart's telling you to you need to get clear of this situation. You
-
need to listen to the Holy Spirit, because that is your law. And
-
the good thing about this law is the good thing about the Law of Christ.
-
It can see and it can perceive what you can't. So if there's
-
alarm bells going off in your brain and your heart's telling you to get free
-
of this, and you need to cease and desist, what you're doing.
-
You need to do that thing because to you, listen very carefully to my
-
voice. If you are operating outside of the confines of what the Holy Spirit
-
is directing you, you're going to be judged for it. Not only that,
-
you're going to be judged ten thousand times harsher than someone who owns a
-
slave and mistreats it, because you're bucking the Holy Spirit. And believe me
-
when I say that does not fly. Now I can set here, and
-
you know, if I wanted to, I could grill Jose about the six
-
hundred and thirteen laws. How many are positive? How mean? And your
-
negative? None of that means a hilo beines. None of it means a
-
hilobanes because you must obey the whole of the law all the time. The
-
only way God can exercise that kind of jurisdiction over you is to have the
-
Holy Spirit. So when you're doing something wrong, he immediately, moment by
-
moment, intervenes and says, look, you're violating my law. You cannot
-
do this to this person, You cannot do this in this situation. That
-
is not godly, that is not christ like. And your conscience will tell
-
you those things that's what really facilitates this list. In Galatians five, Well,
-
these words are so broad. What can you possibly do with them?
-
Let's just take a look at some of them. Let me jump back over
-
to Galatians. Some of these things are just Look, so, John,
-
what is immorality? Can you define that for me? Immorality, I would
-
say, is simply anything that is wrong, that is wrong against God's law,
-
really, because truthfully, there is either God's law or human law,
-
and human law can kind of be wavering from left to right. But anything
-
that goes against God's law, I would say, would be immorality. You
-
actually didn't say anything. You're not helping. Look, look, John,
-
we need details. Jose. Let me do the next one. Okay.
-
The next one on the list is impurity. Jose. What's impurity? Something
-
not clean? Something not right? Okay, Look, look, both of
-
you are saying that I'm going to be damned if I do this. So
-
we need to get to I mean, we need to get the jocks and
-
tittles. Guys. Think about it. Somebody is willing to become a Christian,
-
somebody's having problems, and they walk up to you and say, hey,
-
I just read Galatians five. So so I need an itemized list of
-
what immorality is right. I cannot define that for you. Look, there
-
are people in Africa. They walk around without their clothes on. Okay,
-
they will literally well none of the women will wear tops. If they come
-
up to me and say, you know, Matthew, I you know,
-
I'm having trouble with this. I don't understand what I can and can't do.
-
I'm not going to look this mother of five in the face and say
-
you have to put a pop on. So, ladies and gentlemen, you
-
need to figure it out. You need to figure it out that you can't
-
write the law. It's impossible for you to write the law to that mother
-
of five in the middle of Africa. You can't do it. It's way
-
beyond your pay grade. You know. Let's talk about if we go up
-
to the Inuit in Alaska. If I told you some of their laws,
-
you would think they were crazy. But of course most of you have non
-
or lived in negative thirty degree weather before, so they have a completely different
-
dynamic about what is right and wrong. Because you could do something wrong up
-
there and it kill a whole family. You can buy to see that the
-
next day, and they're all project to death. The only one who can
-
do this across the face of this whole planet, from one end of the
-
heavens to the other is the Holy Spirit. And if you don't know that,
-
you need to know it, because the same spirit that's operating you is
-
the same spirit that's operating somebody in Portugal. In Portugal, they have different
-
laws, they have different customs, and the Holy Spirit will direct them differently.
-
If you don't realize that, you don't get it, and you need
-
to get it that your life is way beyond the borders of your existence.
-
Your life is now situated in what the Greek calls epiirano in the heavens.
-
Your life is above the heavens. With Jesus, he can direct your every
-
single thing. Look for an example in times past, on more than one
-
occasions, I'm at the grocery store. I assure you this was in no
-
way, shape or form planted, But all of a sudden, the Lord
-
tells me, Hey, that person in the next line, you need to
-
change lines and get behind them. So I get behind them. They go
-
to check out, and all of a sudden they're scrambling. They don't have
-
enough money. And guess what if I had not obeyed the Holy Spirit and
-
I happen to have helped that poor mother did buy my own law. God
-
should damn me if I'm not good enough to know the difference of where,
-
when, and where I need to be to help somebody setting there praying silently
-
because they're desperate and do not have enough. I'm not worth the shoes I'm
-
wearing anyway, Matthew, you know what's beautiful about that? What's that?
-
Uh? Like? Like it says in scripture? You know the babies know.
-
Not too long ago, Zelda and Ezekiel they seen a homeless man on
-
the street and they decided they wanted to buy him pizza. They found whatever
-
they could because Zeke I think he had a few dollars and he asked,
-
you know, yes, and he had to see if she can scrounge up
-
a couple bucks to get him pizza, and she did because they knew that
-
he needed help, and they knew that it was the right thing to do.
-
But I mean, God puts it on our hearts, and especially when
-
it's infused with the Holy Spirit, it's reinforced. How's that? Yeah?
-
No, that's that's absolutely how it works. John, That's why in the
-
Gospels we get Jesus given us to be attitudes, and he breaks it down
-
for us, and he tells us that, you know, the people of
-
that of that time, the juty eursers of that time, they're trying to
-
follow the letter of the law, and God's God's telling them that they need
-
to follow the spirit of the law. And that spirit is the Holy Spirit.
-
Because if I try to reason through all all of God's laws and all
-
of God's commandments, I'll never get there. I'll never I'll never be able
-
to do any any of it right. The only way for me to follow
-
the law at all is is with the Holy Spirit, with God guiding me.
-
Like you said, Matthew, what you're supposed to do in that situation,
-
how you're supposed to help, How you're supposed to humble yourself and do
-
God's will exactly like you put it earlier, do his will, not your
-
will, because you can twist that law to satisfy your will, fooling yourself
-
thinking that you're following God's will. And so that's why I think it's important
-
for Christians to understand, because when you hear these people talk against Christianity and
-
say that Paul twisted scripture to get rid of the law. I mean,
-
we're showing here in Galatians Fire that that's absolutely not the truth. And Jesus
-
himself said that the law is not done away with, but yet he gave
-
us to be attitudes in order to be able to follow the Holy Spirit.
-
Not only that, he tells us in John that he sending the Holy Spirit
-
as a comforter and as an edifier for us. And then we get to
-
Revelation in chapter twelve and fourteen, Matthew, and it tells us that there's
-
going to be people that are following the commandments of God and holding the testimony
-
of Jesus. So how can the law be done away with if we still
-
have people in the end times following the ten commandments? So logically it doesn't
-
make sense to argue that that the law has been done away with. So
-
we have to figure out how we are following the law while at the same
-
time not following the letter of the law. Boy, And that's the one
-
hundred and forty four thousand dollars question, isn't it? Amen? You know,
-
let me say this I'm going to say this very very likely. I'm
-
not going to take you to the scriptures, but you all need to understand
-
this. The Old Testament makes itself perfectly clear that God wrote the Ten Commandments
-
with his own finger. People challenged Christ as to what authority, why he
-
was doing these and he says, I do these things by the finger of
-
God. Now you need to understand that the Lord Jesus Christ was saying that
-
he was God's finger, and what God wrote with his own finger was the
-
Ten Commandments. Everybody knows that the Ten Commandments is in Exodus chapter twenty right,
-
hose, Amen, what's the last time you read Exodus chapter twenty one?
-
Why don't you go there right now? Exodus chapter twenty one, Jose
-
and read for me verse one. Now, I think you're going to get
-
a kick out of it. Now, these are the ordinances which you are
-
to set before then. So that word in Hebrew is tora, No,
-
no, it's not, it's mish. Fact. Boy, you can hear
-
a pin drop in the room. When I say that. People just look
-
at me like I'm stupid. Well, what does that mean? You're smart
-
enough to be wanting to jump on the Hebrew roots bandwagon, and you don't
-
know what mish fact is because it's not pora here. Read for me verse
-
two Jose, if you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six
-
years, but on the seventh he shall go out as a freeman without payment.
-
Well, I got umbraged with that because I'm pretty sure if you own
-
a slave in the United States, that's a felony, right, and you'll
-
get a whole lot more than six years, won't you. Amen, Ladies
-
and gentlemen, I know the six hundred and thirteen laws by heart. I
-
had to write them, I had to memorize them separately, the positive laws
-
and the negative laws. I know them intimately, and I'm here to tell
-
you that there are six hundred and three ordinances mish fought. So, ladies
-
and gentlemen, you need to get this through your heads. The Ten Commandments
-
is what God wrote with his own finger. Those are never cast away.
-
God has never thrown away his moral law. So that's a good place for
-
everybody to start. Now. I know I probably just rattled everybody's cage because
-
I just know that stuff right off the top of my head. If you
-
never read Exodus chapter twenty one and had the wherewithal to think to yourself,
-
well, hey, maybe that's not Torah. Maybe he's saying that this great
-
big list I'm getting ready to get of six hundred and three additions to the
-
Ten Commandments, they're part of the Ten Commandments. No, they're not.
-
They're mishfact. I don't think I know, and you don't believe me.
-
Go get yourself a copy of the linen, grab bull Dex and look it
-
up for yourself. So it's this is the best verse to do. Exodus,
-
chapter twenty one, Verse two. This is why God had to write
-
What did the New Covenant say? He said, it was just going to
-
write it on our hearts and on our minds. Correct, Hose, Correct?
-
Now, you can't teach me anything. Look, Hose, was you
-
there in line with me when that poor mother was in the other line and
-
God told me to jump into the other line? No? Okay, how
-
much paper would that take? I mean, now do you write that law?
-
Jose? You have to you have to help the poor pay for groceries
-
when you're in close proximity to them. I mean, how would you write
-
that? So which store? I have to do this? In Kroger or
-
pay less or can I do it in Walmart too? Do you understand how
-
it's physically impossible for you to accomplish God's will of your own accord? Right?
-
There's not enough paper to do it. There's quite simply no way to
-
do it per location. I mean you live in Phoenix? Correct? Correct?
-
And John, where are you presently residing at? I'm in Reno,
-
Nevada. I'm in Reader, North Dakota. You realize you'd have to write
-
a codex for each individual place. Let me bring this out, John,
-
there in Reno, do you have a daylight savings time? Oh? Yeah,
-
Well, guess what, there's one city in all the United States that
-
don't. It's called Phoenix, where Jose's at. So you're gonna have to
-
write an entire codex on just the city of Phoenix and all the laws that
-
would have to be obeyed just because they don't have to obey daylight savings time.
-
There's no way to do it, ladies, don't. The only way
-
this could be accomplished was for Jesus Christ to promise us that he would send
-
us his holy spirit once he got to the Father's right hand side. Guess
-
what he did? He really did do that. He really did, Yeah,
-
Matthew, And I think I think that's what God shows us in Revelation.
-
When you have these that are sealed, these bond servants that are sealed,
-
and they do uphold the testimony, and they do uphold the commandments.
-
The only reason that they don't bow down and worship the image of the beast,
-
the only reason that they have to lose their heads and be a part
-
of the First Resurrection, is because it's God's doing. It's done by God's
-
hand. It's not anything that they've done. And there's nothing that we can
-
do to be that worthy, to be that holy Matthew. The only way
-
is through God. The only way is through his son. It's through the
-
Holy Spirit. That's what God's given us to accomplish that He wants that for
-
us. And you know, I know most of the listeners here have already
-
accepted Jesus as their savior. But if there's any that are listening that haven't
-
yet, that have all these questions that we've been talking about, that's your
-
first step is understanding that God wants us to be in his family. God
-
wants us to be in his kingdom, and he sent his son to show
-
us how to do that. And he has this Holy Spirit with us now
-
to be our comfort and to be our teacher. And that's a beautiful thing.
-
Matthew. That's that's a wonderful way that God set up to accomplish his
-
law and accomplish his will. John, your thoughts. Got one more thing
-
to add to that, because it's very fascinating how God does this. I'd
-
love it. Yesterday I had Bible study and we were talking about Micah six
-
' eight and I kind of want to read that right now. I'm going
-
to start at Micah sixty six. What can we bring to the Lord?
-
What kind of offering should we give him? Should we bow before God with
-
offerings of yearling calves? Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand
-
rivers of olive oil? Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our
-
sins? No, oh, people, the Lord has told you what is
-
good, and this is what he requires of you. To do what is
-
right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. And
-
that is perfect. This is exactly what the Holy Spirit does in a trillion
-
times of trillion different situations, no matter where you're at this is exactly what
-
nothing else could do that how could I have possibly Look, ladies and gentlemen,
-
the Holy Spirit came to me and administered, you know, you know,
-
justice for this poor woman in front of me, and to show her
-
kindness. And in doing so, I was walking humbly before my Lord because
-
I wasn't thinking with my brain, I wasn't thinking with my wallet. It
-
never occurred to me that, of course I'm not going to you know,
-
pay the twenty bucks for you know, her gallon of milk. YadA,
-
YadA, YadA YadA. By default, when you're led and you listen to
-
the Holy Spirit, you're walking humbly before your God because she's the one calling
-
the shots. And I really didn't care. I mean, how on earth
-
did I get the twenty bucks in my pocket in the first place? You
-
know? Let me read that from the New American Standard Bible, verse Eve.
-
He has told you, oh man, what is good and what does
-
the Lord require you? But to do justice, to love kindness, and
-
to walk humbly with your God. The voice of the Lord will call to
-
this city, and it is sound wisdom to fear your name. Hero tribe
-
who has appointed its time man, if you can, I know most of
-
you can't. Look at this in the original language. What a riddle this
-
is. And the only way you can pull that off is to have your
-
risen Savior promise you the Holy Spirit, and have him fulfill his promise and
-
send you that Holy Spirit. This comforter, this teacher, this one look
-
literally in this one situation. And I'm sure that everybody agrees that the better
-
example is with Tom with John's two children. I mean, how beautiful is
-
that those two children had no idea. This homeless man was praying about what
-
he was going to eat. Zel didn't answer that man's prayers. Zelda is
-
not even old enough to have the wherewifal to understand what was happening. I
-
appreciate that Zeke did, but this did not come from Zeke. This come
-
from the spirit of the Living God. The spirit of God answered that man's
-
prayers with two children. You cannot write enough laws to do that. You
-
can't. And of course, who really answered the prayer? Because I wasn't
-
born yesterday. This isn't my first rodeo. The two children really didn't answer
-
the prayer. It was his wife that did. Ye, see me,
-
is the one that acted out God's will. It must be this way.
-
This is why that the Holy Spirit also tells us what is to come.
-
Now, ladies and gentlemen, I could tell you all sorts of mysteries.
-
I can sit here and explain to you how how pie is in the Book
-
of Jeremiah, chapter twenty five. I can literally blow your mind with information
-
upon information upon information that is utterly worthless as compared to that homeless man that
-
needed a meal. And what God really did was use Yosini's two children to
-
teach her what was to come. Because what was to come was that homeless
-
man was not going to starve to death. God had already decided to answer
-
his prayer. So Ysinia was directed as to what was to come because that
-
man did, in fact eat pizza, and that isn't exactly what the Holy
-
Spirit intended to happen. And that's what God done. And you cannot write
-
enough laws to accomplish mercy. You cannot write enough laws to accomplish justice.
-
You can't. There's too many crazy situations that goes on. I mean,
-
I remember one time we were coming home at night and there was a car
-
accident in front of us. Ladies and gentlemen what I did that night.
-
You can't write into the law. You don't have enough paper, because life,
-
by our perception, is a series of random accidents. But not to
-
the Lord, our God, consider these things, Jose No, Matthew,
-
I agree with everything you know and John had just stated. And I think
-
that's a that's a good a good study that we've covered today, a good
-
remembering of what God's told us, a good weaving together of everything that we've
-
been reading and we've been learning. It's really important to tie it all together
-
because it all makes sense. God's not trying to confuse us, He's not
-
trying us to wrap us around in circles. He tells us everything that he
-
wants us to do. And if we're just stop being hard hearted, stop
-
being hard headed, and listen. It's it's really quite easy, Matthew.
-
It's that easy. As the examples you and John have given. It's not
-
it's not too difficult to act like a Christian. It's not too difficult to
-
walk by the Holy Spirit. So I think I think that's a good thing
-
that we've done tonight. Matthew. Amen, Amen to that. JMG.
-
You want to pray us out of here. Please, yeah, give me
-
one second, hold on, I'm barely getting in my car. All right,
-
Heavenly Father, we thank you for another day that we're allowed to study
-
your word and dig in. We pray that every listener and whenever they listen,
-
that they're and they can learn to yield to the spirit and let it

rule their love. Father. We pray that every single one of these listeners
-
and uh, anyone, I'm sorry, Lord, I just pray that you
-
give the break to be able to discern good from evil, help them to
-
bless those who need blessing. And Lord, just help them to live by
-
your spirit. And we pray in Jesus name. Amen, Amen, Amen,

and Amen. Come next time, ladies and gentlemen, God bless God
