The Parable of the Sower

Praise god.

Alright.

Before this month is up, I have to

get into James.

But here we are. I'm gonna do

not doing James yet today, but this month,

Lends less lord just

makes it so I can't preach for a

while. God God forbid. But I will be

in James sometime this month for sure, Lord

willing, I should say. But the name of

this message, and this is

per many of you are familiar with. Excited

to go through it with you because I

think it'll challenge you it'll encourage you. It'll

also warn you. It's the parable of the

sow.

It's 1 of Jesus many, many parable,

the parable of the sow

and it's in Luke chapter 8.

And the Greek word that we translate into

our English word, the new test was written

in Greek.

We translate to Par is from Para.

Para.

And their literal Greek word meant to cast

alongside.

Like to cast a comparison

alongside something else.

Like a shadow, for instance, would outline the

reality.

Jesus gave parable to take off natural things

to teach spiritual truths. Amen.

And the parable of the sow is a

very, very important

spiritual truth.

He rebuked

He told the disciples

that

these things are hidden from the wise.

Those are wise in their own eyes,

but he reveals these things to babe.

And actually, when you compare Matthew 13, which

you also find the Matthew 13, Mark 4

and Luke chapter 21, all 3 said not

gospel, you'll see this same parable.

And,

he actually rebuke them for not understanding it

at 1 point.

He's revealed them. He's headed these things from

the wives. Those are wise in their own

eyes.

He quotes from Isaiah chapter 6. What Isaiah

Isaiah 6 · chapter mention

says send me. I'll go.

He says seen, you know, they will not

see in hearing, they will not hear... And

when you go and see that quotation in

Isaiah. I'm sorry. Acts chapter 28.

Acts 28 · chapter mention

It says, because they closed their eyes. You

see. And people that closed their eyes are

given over to more and more blindness.

People that refuse to hear give it over

to more and more deafness. Those respond to

light God will give more and more light

to. But this parable

is significant

because it's about 4 different soils.

It's chief about the Son man who sow

the seed

It's about the seed, which is the word

of God. It's about 4 souls and Jesus

emphasizes

personal responsibility

and receiving salvation

and perseverance in salvation

in the parable of the solar.

Very, very powerful.

So you I wanna make sure you have

eyes to see You have ears to hear.

In fact, in Luke chapter 8,

verse 8, you know,

We'll see at the end of this here

what he says. But here, let's look at

Luke chapter 8 verse 4

and those from the various cities were joining

The sow went out to sow his seed.

And as he sow, some fell beside the

road.

And it was chap under foot and the

birds of the air ate up.

Other seed fell on rocky soil. And as

soon as they grew up, it with away.

Because it had no moisture.

Others seed fell among the thorn, and the

thorn grew up with it and choked it

out. Others seat fell on the good soil.

And grew up and produced a crop, a

hundred times as great.

And he said to these... And and as

he said these things, we read.

He would call out. He was what.

Ears to hear lay him wet

here.

And that's important part of the his instruction.

Because he... The idea there is it continue

to cry out. He there's... Let him here.

Maybe he be the fourth soil.

Choose to be the fourth soil.

There's the ground that the seed falls upon,

which is hard ground,

the pathway, the wayside.

And farmers in those days, they would throw

their seed

out and about and some would get on

the wayside where people walked and tram the

dirt under foot.

And it wouldn't penetrate.

It wouldn't penetrate,

the the ground because the ground was so

hard. You see,

and the birds of the air

would follow the farmer as he sow. And

if some of the seed was not covered

up with dirt,

they would what, take it away.

So we're not to be the hard hearted

or cal

land, who doesn't gl god's word

to penetrate your heart.

Don't

harden in your heart. The first soil then

is the call

heart

represents the Call heart, and we'll get into

that in a minute. But you see 4

souls here.

And then if you look at Luke chapter

Luke 8:11

8 verse 11,

It says, now the parable is this, the

seed

is the word of god.

So the seed that's being sown is wet.

God's word, amen.

God's word is being planted in hearts.

Matthew chapter 13 verse 37,

Matthew 13:37

a different parable. Jesus says he who sow

the good seed is the son of man.

Talking about the wheat and the tears at

that point. But you can understand that Jesus

is the store here as well, but he

uses who.

Us, amen.

That's why I love Acts chapter 1, the

Acts 1 · chapter mention

first few verses.

Where Luke, who writes the book of acts

also wrote the Gospel of Luke.

And he says, in his second letter, he

addressed both him to theo,

which somebody believes a literal man named Theo,

And that's very likely very possible,

and keep imagine having Luke and written into

you, painstakingly

done.

But I think he represents obviously it's not

of God amen. But in acts, he says

the seed is the word.

Amen, and the word is a seed. Listen

to first Peter chapter

1 Peter 1:23

1 verse 23.

For you have been born again, not seed.

How you were born again, listen to this.

You've been born again, not of seed, which

is perishable.

I love that because he goes on to

say, that is through the living, the living

and enduring word of god. God's word is

alive, amen.

It's living an active act or hebrews 04:12.

Spiritually

alive. It's inspired by the holy spirit.

We read in first Peter, chapter 1 or

spirit as they speak.

Amen.

So the holy spirit inspires his book It's

a spiritual book. So just like there's a

physical seed, sp,

you know, in the Greek that brings for

physical life, there's spiritual seed.

Which brings for spiritual life. Amen.

Now it's amazing when you look at this

because we're born again, it says by incredible,

seed.

The word of the Lord bible says endure

forever every amen. Jesus says my,

you know,

heaven Earth will pass away, but my words

what.

Never pass away. Now let's look at the

first soil,

act or Luke chapter 8, verse 12.

those who hear the word.

But the birds that take away the seed

represent the devil

who takes the seed out of their hearts.

Why does he take the seed out of

the hearts? So that they were what? What

So they will not what?

Believe abby what.

Saved. It's important to understand from the context

of Luke chapter 8 in the purpose of

keep them from receiving the word and implant

it being implant in their hearts.

In fact second Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4

2 Corinthians 4:4

says, if our gospel is veil or hidden.

It's hidden because the God of this world

Satan,

has blinded the minds of those that believe

not. That's the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ,

whose image of God should shine unto them.

So Satan blinds people from the gospel,

from their need of salvation.

How many have witnessed the people that are

just so hard hearted

you might as what we talking to a

light post or something. You know?

They're just un unsolved by what you're sharing.

That's a lot of people.

Now, I love how the lord's ind

in who he shares the word with.

It's on all these soils. Amen.

Some you say, well, I'm just gonna go

after a witness to fourth soil people, man.

I'll be more successful.

You know? Well, we don't know 4 so

people are.

Sometimes people seem open.

Right?

Then they become quite closed. Others seem closed

like the apostle paul,

who in acts chapter 7,

Because you're s them to death, how long

will you continue to resist the holy spirit?

Lord said to Paul when he con... When

he was converted, you know, how long he

talked about it he said you're kicking against

the goats, the prick.

You're kicking against the entrance of the word

of Christ,

but guess what? Part of change of heart

and said he wasn't dis disobedience to the

heavenly vision.

So some people give you seem really hearted,

but man, you keep witnessing to a amen.

Now it's interesting because

We want

in regard to the hard person. And this

isn't just for you personally as far as

how does this fit with me what's what

heart am my I is is important because

your heart can become 1 through 4.

You your heart could be 2.

That it could become 3, that it can

become 4. It could start out as 4,

and then it can become 2 or 3

as we go through these.

Hearts change. So Alert tells us to guard

our hearts with without diligence because the soils

represent 4 different human conditions.

God commands us this soften in our hearts.

We're just not to harden in the hearts.

So hearts can change.

So why it's important to watch your heart

and guard with all diligence because out of

it come the springs of life.

So Hebrews reached chapter 12 says see to

it in verse 15.

Right after verse 14 where it says without

holding this no 1 will see the lord.

See you to it that over root a

bitterness and it springs up in you, which

def files many.

So we need to watch our hearts, make

sure we keep them soft.

But this is also instructive for those you're

witnessing to.

Because when you're sharing the gospel,

you have a relationship with that person,

you can't make them born again, amen.

You're the hands the feet of the sow.

He sow through us,

but he's the 1 that gives increase,

but responsible

to pray for people to share with people

to encourage people.

So in respect to our own ministry when

we're witnessing and share in the gospel. It's

important

that we keep this curve to mind.

I use this sometimes

this parable when I disciple people.

I remember the first... Don't know if it

was called Revive then, but break the out

there in that parking lot chad and the

those guys got that team going and got

a ban and people came that we didn't

know. And 1 young marine, he was a

marine. Right, Chad?

Became a marine marine. He was a young

guy.

I guess it was in boot camp or

whatever

or on on his way. And he received

Christ

and Chad came up and he goes, oh,

that's interesting.

Because after he prayed to receive Christ with

me,

I was leading through a text of scripture.

So I goes, oh, that's good. That makes

sense. I was taken through the parable of

so.

Same which harder are you gonna be?

Challenge him

to make sure that he's the fourth soul

because the fourth soul is the only 1

that makes it in the end.

There's 4 souls, only 1 in 4 and

up saved in the end. Not saying the

other 2 of the other ones weren't saved

it. Sometime time I'm just saying in the

end. There's only 1 that persevere

in salvation. So I challenged him I encourage

him with this parable

to keep his eyes

on Jesus. And this is something you could

keep in mind when you're praying for people.

When you're sharing with friends with family members,

I don't know what so they are for

sure, lord, but you'll reveal it, but I'll

pray that the hearts are soft if they're

not receiving your word.

And then we'll look at the other soils

as well.

So we could pray that God with soften

hearts, amen.

In fact, Jeremiah Have 4 3 says this.

For this is what the Lord says to

the men of Judah. And Jerusalem, break up

your un cloud ground.

People can have hard hearts. You get warn

them, hey, You got a hard heart. Break

up your on cloud ground. Jose 10:12 says,

break up your fellow ground. That's hard, ground

that's not good for planning. Jesus

lives in an agrarian culture. Even though he's

a craftsman,

the word we translate carp means Craftsman.

So you might have done various crafts, you

know,

women at the go women's industry or everything.

Oh, he did this now. I mean, like,

metal work maybe and wood work and maybe

some of the stuff you guys need to.

You guys do cool stuff. But he was

Craftsman, but he used nature constantly because you

didn't have to be a gardner,

a farmer

because everything around them was nature.

And he uses as parable and he's god

in the flesh.

Break up the fellow ground For it is

time to seek the lord

tell he come and reign righteous upon you.

So the scriptures that talk about breaking up

that heart and ground. We can pray Lord.

You're sharing with somebody who's heart hearted, pray

for them.

Amen, by wave of application. I'm encourage you,

pray for your last friends.

Not just once or twice, but keep them

as part of your

on your perilous. Amen. You'll be amazed what

the lord does. Very, very important.

Because that hard ground needs to be pierced.

But no word God is sharpen 200 sword.

Fact, acts chapter 2 verse 37 says Peter's

Acts 2:37

words. What he preach. First message after Jesus

rose to the dead, the Pent message. And

all these 3000 people got saved.

Peter's words pierced their hearts,

verse 3 7. Peter's words, pierced their hearts,

and they said to him, and to the

other... Through the other apostles, brothers. What should

we do?

They wanna know how to be saved. They

were convicted of their sins.

They you knew they need to get right

with God.

Because Peter talks about how they need to

be saved.

So it's important when you're dealing with hard

hearts

that you show the love of God.

And the kindness of god that leads repentance,

but you also show the law of God

and the righteousness of God and how they're

headed toward judgment if they don't repent.

It's like that old story,

I think Ray comfort made this story up,

if I remember right.

And it's just not... And I'll just give

you a 1 minute version of this story,

but,

the

all sudden he realizes the fuse lodge has

and wealth and you'll just a grade in

and the person's like,

okay. Just put the parachute on.

The other... How many people are gonna put

the parachute on with that message?

How many hearts are gonna be changed?

The other tortoise is like, hey. I can't

talk to you loud,

but there's a gaping hold the fuse of

lodge.

And

the pilot they want me to rattle people,

but I got a parachute for you because

we're gonna go down, and you're gonna be

just inc in the ball when we hit

the ground unless you wear the parachute.

How successfully do you think she is.

We don't get to change god's word

and stick our finger there and say, okay,

what do people want to hear.

And by the way, if you're just putting

Jesus on, not to save you, That's not

even the biblical Jesus.

The real Jesus is the savior of the

world. He came to die for our sins.

To save us from judgment, to save us

from ourselves, to save us from hell, to

save us from sin, to save us from

death, to save us from the wrath of

god that we deserve, amen

So what awesome God we have.

So it's important that we get this right,

and that we're praying

that God would pierce people's hearts. Fact, it's

interesting. My wife didn't know what message I

was preparing 2 different messages for today. I

continue to pray. And yesterday, sometime, I... But

she didn't know this was 1 of my

messages.

And I was gonna preach a variation of

what I did up at Jonathan Church. By

said, I'm gonna go this route today,

yesterday, I thought I'd do that. So today

I'm preaching this.

But I was already had my notes written

and everything else. And we're praying, Lisa and

I and actually h Chad and

my daughter, Heather and Adam and we're praying

and there's few other young people there and

we're praying for

somebody's relative that doesn't go here. Just that

the person would come to know Jesus.

Be saved out of drugs and everything else.

And my wife pray Lord, you know, keep

that person from the evil 1. I'm like,

Amen. Satan tries to steal to eat. Amen.

And then she said, and Lord, this is

her heart. And she prayed it with passion.

And Lord Pierce Pierce says heart. I'm like,

good girl. You know? Pierce says alright Amen.

Because hearts need to be Pierce with the

word of God. And when Peter preached their

hearts were pierced amen.

Don't hold back. Don't be arrogant, don't be,

you know, proud, share and humility with love,

but let people know, hey. I'm in the

same boat with you without Jesus.

You need Jesus to be saved. Amen.

And we have all kinds of tracks we

make available, Amen, because you might be like,

it's hard to get long discussion. Sometimes, pass

out tracks,

so many people been safe through tracks, guys.

I mean, this is 1 huge track right

here, man.

Millions of millions of millions of people saved

through this. You take chunks of this this

this book. You take the message.

It it

delighted the Lord to save people through the

preaching of the gospel of the Bible says.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the

word of God. Amen.

Whoever caused upon the name of the lord

will be saved. Amen.

So we need you share the word of

God.

And we need to love people. Guys.

We need to love people.

Wrap arms around them, encourage them, go the

extra mile.

You see someone in need that you're sharing

with, try to help their their their material

need if you can. Not a can every

every time, but try to be... Oh, just

give it. Jesus said if you give a

glass of water to someone. Cold water, you

won't lose your reward. Those little things are

huge.

Have you heard me say before, in my

messages is just by giving somebody a hug

you can melt their hearts.

You hear me say that. Right?

Well, it was a trip because when we

And it was cool. From Monday, we got

there, there was a slab.

Thursday night, Thursday afternoon,

it was done,

and we all gathered around, and everybody

encouraged,

you know, the new family, and I had

the key to give to them because I

everything up, including the roof

and drywall.

It was just awesome to see that happen.

There's that family of 7.

And I was able to give them the

key.

But...

But what was interesting they shared and when

Carlos the dad of the 7 shared and

this is a faithful brother.

Jonathan said that he's at all the meetings

man.

He's at all the the the witnessing, they

go witnessing together. He He makes it the

service and he's such a dedicated man of

God. And he had AAA very bad pass

him and his wife both were gang bang

types. Okay?

Over here in the states even they went

back to Mexico.

But his life changed.

And I didn't expect this, but I would

say, even give someone a hug could melt

their hearts, God could use just give people

love, they're not used to it. Show them

Jesus. They'll know you by your love for

1 another as well.

And as he's sharing, he said a couple

years ago.

He he said and he he said when

I came and I saw him.

I feel bad. Didn't remember the specific incident.

He said,

pastor Joe came and gave me a big

hug, and he goes,

and he started balling

as he sharing.

And then I knew this was my family.

As was part of the family of God

you're... And he just... And and and I

thought, wow.

You know? I felt bad that Forgot because

you suck so many people. Right? You loved

so many people. But praise God, I'd hug

him like, 30 times through the last 5

days too. You know?

Just show people love.

Nurture those seeds. Amen.

Nurture those seeds, water them.

Amen. All this is very, very important.

Now, the first heart is the call heart.

The first heart is the call heart. It's

hard.

We gotta pray for those people.

And Paul, the chief of sinner had a

hard heart, he said he was filled anger

and vengeance

toward the gospel,

a violent ag aggressive.

Well guess what?

The ne heart is a shallow heart. First

heart, the first soil represents a

call heart. The second 1 represents a shallow

heart. Look at chapter 8 verse 13.

Chapter 8 verse 13 of Luke.

Those on the rocky soil

are those who...

Now, this is not the hard soil. It's

the rocky soil.

Those at Rocky are those who when they

hear, receive the word with what.

With joy.

They're sincere.

They have this joy.

Wow Jesus died for me. He's he died

to save me and they they they put

their faith in him because it says they

believe Those on the Rocky soil are those

who when they hear receive the word with

joy.

And these have no what.

Firm root. They have no firm root.

They believe for what?

They believe for... Just say they don't believe

at all. Know they believe for a while

and a time of temptation, what do they

do?

They fall away.

There are many, many, many scriptures that weren't

against falling away.

Unfortunately, a big lie in the church is

that Christians can't fall away.

Well, that's kinda weird that there's all these

warnings about falling away? Why would you warn

something... Why would you warn believers over and

over again but not to fall away if

they can't fall away. Amen.

And they are falling away. If 1 of

my granddaughter comes in and says, I was

sweden and I was playing on the monkey

bars out back pop up and look at

my legs. IIII

fell off the monkey bars.

Would I assume she was never on the

Mack bars.

Or I assume she was on the monkey

bars.

She's on the monkey part. She fell away.

And the Bob talks about how you could

fall away from the living god.

That's not just a profession of faith. That's

a possession of a relation with God.

So these folks with the shallow hearts fall

away. They don't have firm roots.

Now in those days guys.

And

going to israel is just a mind blow.

Because

you see so many things that you read

about.

And 1 thing you see in Israel is

rocks everywhere.

It's very, very rocky.

In fact, there's a lot of bedrock that

just has 2, 3 inches of dirt on

it,

and it get captures some moisture.

The dirt.

But

you sow seed on it.

Comes up fast. It's got some roots,

but they're not firm often.

And when you look at Matthew and Mark,

when they talk about this doctor at gospel,

Jesus talks about his son

is so intense

they just dry up and die.

And that's a picture of as Matthew 13

says,

persecution and tribulation, when persecution tribulation come. Or

the ns friction and persecution come.

They fall away.

And that's

because of the scorching persecution or

temptation.

So it's interesting here.

Again,

Those how the rockies saw are those when

they

hear,

receive the word with joy, and these have

no firm root they believe for a while

in the time of temptation.

Fall

away.

Now,

it's important to get this.

Context.

In verse 12, the verse right before that.

What happens

if the devil not able to

take the seat out and the hard rock,

hard soil.

Believes they will be wet.

They'll be saved. That's first 12. He takes

a seat out. So they won't believe and

be saved.

So in the context of Jesus teaching here,

believe bring salvation. Amen? Amen Well, guess what.

These folks believed

for a while,

which contextual that shows. They were saved for

a while,

Well, how do you know they were sincere

How you know they didn't just say it

and they were grumpy Didn't want anything to

do with Jesus? Because it said they received

the word with what?

With joy. They were sincere men.

Don't impose some rigid theology on the bible

and try to explain Jesus clear teaching away.

There are people who believe for a while.

They're excited about Jesus.

But then

persecution

comes,

temptation comes,

tribulation comes,

and it's important that we get this.

In fact, by the way, the first seed

never brought life did it.

First all. Right?

That stash the seed away. There's no life.

The second third and fourth seed all bring

life.

Life is a the seed is implanted it's

received. There's new life.

That's a picture of regeneration, being born again,

salvation.

The first 1 believes for a while and

there's even fruit, a little bit of fruit.

They have the joy.

Fruit the spheres love, peace joy, There got

joy in of in the Lord in his

word.

The natural man hasn't receive the things of

spirit, but these guys receive it for time.

So they become supernatural full, filled with joy,

but then they sadly fall away.

There are many, many, many passages

that warrant about falling away. In fact, it's

1 of the signs of the times.

Jesus said in matthew 24 10 that in

the last days many will fall away.

But verse 13 he goes on to say,

but the 1 who endure the end will

be what.

Saved. These ones fall away they don't endure

to the end. In Matthew chapter 4 verse

The Apostle Paul says that the holy spirit

speaks explicitly

that the last times

it's important. There'll be seduced spirits and doctrines

of demons and some will fall away from

the faith.

It's important to see how serious this is.

set us free. Therefore,

keep standing firm.

Keep standing firm. It's a command. It's imperative.

Keep its continuous tense. It's a present tense

imperative. That words you're free in Christ, keep

standing firm

and do not be subject again, to a

yoke of slavery. You can't go back to

the lobby cursed.

You have been what?

Severed from Christ. Cut off from Jesus.

You are seeking to be justified by the

law. You have what.

There it is, fallen from grace. In fact,

the bible doesn't it just warn that you

can fall away. It speaks of people here

who did fall away because they're trying to

be justified by the law.

They're trying to be justified

by keeping the law Moses. He's clearly says

to them here. You have a severed from

Christ. And you went to work attached to

Christ.

You are seeking. That's who he's talking to.

Those who are seeking to be justified by

a law.

You have fallen from grace.

Very, very serious.

You can fall away.

Don't let any... The devil would like you

to think that you can't all the away.

That's why Paul warns

in chapter 10 verse 12 of first corinthians,

let him fix he stands take heed.

Less see what.

Less he fall. Serious stuff.

In Matthew 13 21

of this second heart, the

shallow heart

says, Jesus said when tribulation or persecution arises

because of the word,

they immediately immediately, he falls away.

So

We wanna minister to those who have hard

hearts. Amen. So we wanna use the word

of God that pierce their hearts. Amen. We

wanna pray to them. We wanna show love

of God. The kind of god leads treat

repentance, amen. Pray for them, love them. We're

at a mission Amen. You're only here for

a short time. Their lords only left us

here for a couple reasons, and 1 of

those reasons we're still here is to win

the lost to Christ. Day amen. Amen.

Another reason is so we'd become more like

Christ. Stay amen. Amen And how does God

make us more like Jesus?

Through

trials and

tribulation.

In in various ways, but that's that's... That's

1 reason. So listen, when you're dealing with

someone with the shallow heart, The roots don't

go very deep. They're not very strong in

the Lord. There's a huge concern that when

temptation comes.

When trials. And tribulation come.

That tree goes down easy because its roots

aren't very deep. You understand.

Very, very important.

So what do we do with believers like

that that we're concerned about? And that's a

lot of new believers. There's people that walk

in, they go... They hear the gospel. They

get excited

praise Lord. I love Jesus. He very emotional

experience tears are streaming. He died for me.

I love him, and they're all excited. But

they don't continue to grow, if the rooster

get really deep,

then they fall away.

They get all excited. They fizz. It's like,

wow. Excited and then they fall away.

So we need to prepare them

to live for Jesus. We need prepare them

to understand that there's storms coming.

And they don't have to follow away.

Fact, that's a ministry that the Apostle Paul

and Silas did throughout the churches the book

of acts.

I quote 11, chapter 13, chapter 14 of

acts, and I'm just gonna quote 1 to

show you what they did and how they

strengthen the disciples. They strengthen them, so their

roots would grow stronger and deeper. Listen to

what says in acts 14 22.

It says a that they were quote strengthening

the souls of the disciples, how.

Ex them to continue in the faith

and saying we must through many tribulation

enter the kingdom of god.

Amen? Amen

So that's what... And if some of you,

like, man, I listen to joe, but he

talks a lot about how we gotta continue

in the faith.

over and over again Jesus talked about that.

And he also talks about, hey, we could

All believers will face tribulation. We need to

let people know that the bible says you

need to let Christians know they're new. Who

aren't very strong, who's who are new and

their roots aren't very deep that the bible

says timothy 3, the last days know this

last day's perilous times will come.

Men we levels of self, cove bolster, problem

less fevers, This will be that parents un

unthinkable un without natural effects, truth, false skews

and inconvenient fierce Despise of those that are

good, traders, he, high minded, levers of pleasure

where lovers of God. Having inform god has

So because we live in a world that's

fish going downstream as we go upstream. And

they hate us of many of them.

And I'm telling you right now, man, if

we're not warning people about the coming tribulation

period,

I don't believe we're

discharging our orders properly, because Jesus weren't as

possible about that. The apostles, John said at

first john you've heard that anti antichrist is

coming.

Yes, even now many are in the world.

Paul said don't be deceived that day when

Christ comes gathers together, won't take place until

the following when, Antichrist comes first. Jesus said,

to his apostles, that leaders the early church,

when you see the abomination of destination, senate

in the holy place. Flee. Amen. Book revelations,

John the apostle written into the churches about

the coming out of grace. Yet the church

is being told today. Don't worry.

We're not gonna go through it. We're gonna

be rapture

before that 7 year trial. When be caught

up to heaven.

And we're gonna have a big old party

in heaven for 7 years while our brothers

and sister being slot on Earth.

Wow. That does sound like a good party.

Could you have a good time at a

party when you know all the people that

you love that we're being slaughtered?

No. That's why that part doesn't happen until

christ's second coming.

the coming period.

Many of them will never be told about

the wrath of god if they turn away

from Christ.

the suffering that we go through now, not

our best life now. The suffering that we

go through now are not worthy of being

compared to the glory that we revealed later

a biblical perspective.

That helps you persevere.

That helps your wrote roots go deeper.

it's kind of interesting. I was reading something

recently

about experiment. I'm anybody here heard of the

bio dome experiment

It's a great experience it put out by

scientists where they got went the deserts and

big desert, and they created this big glass

bubble, you know?

And it was a bio,

so they try to create their perfect

environment

for animals and

people holding

plants and trees,

and they created a perfect environment, just the

right amount of sunlight, everything, so it would

thrive.

And people go and live in this bow

for a few months at a time.

Say, wow. It's like, perfect in there. The

weather is just wow. It's just beautiful.

Well guess what happened.

True story.

When the trees

got kinda high.

They would just

topple over,

fall right over. I like, there's no winning

in here.

How come these trees are falling over?

Because there's no wind in there. That's the

answer. Then they realized that wind is an

important component

for many trees for them to grow.

Because what happens when the the... Now the

when the when the wind is blowing against

these trees, this is true of Redwood, California

bay trees.

Some of the California oaks. Yep. Their roots

get deeper or stronger or in a case

of the red would even wider and inner

inter tang with the other roots from the

redwood.

So guess what they realized the scientists

were baffled at first. Why are these trees

happening over and then they realized, we forgot

the God given they didn't say God, given

what I'm saying that. We forgot the God

given element of wind.

Don't mess with what God's doing.

And by the way, whenever they create something

like that, They're basically copying God. Amen. If

they have any success, they're gonna have to

copy the Lord. But guess what? The same

metaphor

of these roots is so true in our

lives.

Like, well, why does the Lord allow us

to be persecuted? Why is he allow us

to go through tribulation? Well, he's first... He's

testing us

to see if we're gonna remain true to

Jesus?

To see if we're gonna be loyal in

the end. Because when he comes back, he

said to catches us up, we're gonna meet

him in the air, it says with him

are the chosen.

Says are the called,

the chosen and the

faithful. Amen. Amen Mark, are the called?

Praise guy we be called.

The see went out to us chosen, those

are those that get in

and the faith they're faithful. They made faithful

to his word. So we need to keep

in mind. Sometimes you wanna... Oh, I just

wish I didn't have to go through trials,

which I have to go through tribulation. Man,

your roots would be so shallow that when

something does go down down the line. You'll

topple right over,

because you won't be strong.

That's why James says in chapter 1 verse

2. Consider it all joy.

Why does he take this at all Joy?

When you encounter various trials

because he says it's something you need to

know, knowing

that the testing of your faith produces endurance

and let endurance have its perfect result.

Perfect result that you made perfect. Make that

you may be perfect.

lacking in nothing.

So God allows trials in our lives, so

our roots will go deeper into energies as

amen. So be stronger. And the cool thing

is the longer you're of believer. And you

respond to your trials by seeking the lord,

the stronger you get.

And you're far more likely to endure greater

persecution and trials and temptation later. Amen, because

your roots are deep in Jesus. Let your

roots go deep in Jesus.

we have tendency also to, you know, put

bubble wrap around our children.

I'm not saying just push your kid off

Be wise with your children amen.

And don't subject them to too much temptation

and stuff like that Gotta be careful guard

from a young age, I took my children

out witnessing and sharing the gospel

on, you know, Highland and sunset right in

Hollywood till 1 2 in the morning. I

think we went there, like, 2 years almost

every Saturday night. Share in the gospel. People

probably thought I was nuts.

But made my children more resilient and Jesus

gave them a hunger and a thirst to

share the gospel with other people, get your

children involved their ministry

stretch their

roots.

Amen, guard and protect them, but also realize

that hardship

helps us grow if we make the right

choices

while we're experiencing hardship Amen.

Look at Hebrews chapter 3.

But he also gives examples of those who

walked away from the Lord.

And the off of Hebrews talks about the

wilderness people.

How most of them did make it. And

look at Hebrews reached chapter 4 now, verse

now. Hebrews chapter 4 verse 1 and then

Hebrews 4:1

11, Therefore, let us fear if while a

promise remains of entering his rest.

James 4... Our first Peter 4 says,

cast your cares upon him because he went.

Be anxious for nothing, but it's everything with

Make your request be made known to God

I thought, wow. It's pretty heavy.

Lord, don't give me too little worm tempted

to steal, but Lord, says in the in

too much way.

Don't let the Lord be crowded out of

your life.

Then he says the pleasure of life.

Man, there are more pleasures at our fingertips

than ever before.

And you can allow sports,

music,

movies

for things of this world, some things that

are evil,

some things that are necessarily evil. The bible

talks about keeping your eyes on Jesus, the

often finish for faith and to set aside

what? So ease not just sin, but what

easily ent us. Things can ent and en

en that aren't necessarily sin. There could be

really cool things that aren't sin. Oh, it's

not sinful to actually go play ball at

the park with my kid. But if you

have to do it every Sunday morning instead

of come to church.

That could become a problem. You can crown

out the lord from your life. Amen.

Find out that fine times to be foolish

Make sure you're steady.

Don't allow the lord Jesus to be crowded

heart and they've responded

and their disposition before God is 1 of

humility. If you don't become, like 1 of

these little children and get converted to you

and says, you have no part of the

king of God. God gives grace the humble

when he resist the proud. These also say,

yeah, I deserve damn nation. Not through anything

good in them that they receive salvation. As

far as merit goes, it's all by the

Merit of Jesus and what he did in

the cross. But their hearts are of such

a condition that they receive, the gift of

eternal life. Amen. And notice what he says

here, very, very important.

But the seed in the good soil,

These are the ones you have heard the

word with an honest and good heart, and

they what,

Hold it fast.

They hold it fast. They hold on to

it.

Their roots are digging in deep man. They're

not letting go of Jesus in his word.

And they bear fruit. Amen.

And they do it with what,

perseverance man.

They're like, man, I'm holding on. And sometimes

a perseverance and say, amen?

Just keep perseverance and following jesus as you

will have fruit. Amen.

Don't throw in the towel. Don't give up.

Don't have a Call heart. Repent of having

a Call heart. Who has here's verse 8,

word.

Beware of being a shallow christian,

be prepared for tribulation and trials

and say, hey, I gotta trust God here

and temptation. Just doesn't give us more than

Paul writes in verse 6 of chapter 9

of second corinthians. Remember this, whoever so sparingly

will also reap what.

Sparingly. And whoever sow generously will also reap

generously.

Each 1 of you should give what you

have decided in your own heart to give.

Not reluctant. We're under comp for God loves

a cheerful give. So, yeah, We're supposed to

give to the kingdom of amen, but guess

what? We should shall also be giving the

seed out amen.
