Abimelech And The Coming Antichrist

If you've got your bible with you turn

to the book of judges,

judges,

and you wanna go to chapter 9, although

the first a couple verse will probably read

we'll be in judges 8. So judges 8

and 9.

And we're gonna be looking at a very,

very interesting story. They're so... I hope you're

reading your bibles.

I hope you're a student of the word,

hope you're men and women of the word.

And I hope you're getting in and diving

into the old testament because

the old testament stories are actual events that

have taken place that are historical events that

god moves sovereign in and he creates all

these pictures. He gives us flesh and blood

pictures that he puts upon biblical concepts and

and truths where we see these things worked

out. In the affairs of men and women,

and we see how God is exalted and

how we're to follow him and how we're

to also be aware of the perceptions that

are just mass.

So when you go, I wanna look at

abi,

a very wicked king,

a very wicked king. In fact, we always

think of king saw as being the first

king of Israel. If I asked you a

bible trivia question. I said, who was the

first King of Israel, you would say King

saul, of course. But guess what? You might

be a little bit wrong. Because I've been

elected. In the time of judges, usually when

you read the book of judges, you're reading

about different judges. Right? Yet this guy actually

pops up as a king

over Israel,

Yet, you'd still be right because Saul was

the first God ordained king of Israel.

Ben was an impostor an is who set

himself up over god's people

as king.

And it's very, very fascinating this story

And

I did a message in Mexico

about the name of the Lord and the

mighty power of the name of Jesus.

And I thought about preaching that message when

I came back on a Sunday. And part

of it was about our abi, but a

Was probably 5 or 10 minutes of my

And I thought, no. I'm not gonna preach

I was excited about that message. I love

that message because it's just the power that's

in Jesus name that we have, and I'll

What I wanna teach about, Abi, And the

name of this message is Abi

and the coming antichrist.

There are many many pictures of Jesus throughout

the old testament

types, you know, whether it's sacrifices

in the temple, the Tab, whether it's a

tab tab or the temple itself. Amen. And

may various

all the way back from you know, melchizedek

and and so forth,

wonderful pictures of Jesus.

Types David is a picture of Jesus who's

the son of David. But there's also these

pictures or typo technologies of the antichrist that

God's

allowed to come forth and sovereign worked in

the midst of the affairs of man to

draw these pictures. Goliath is an incredible picture

of the antichrist. I did a message

some time ago. On a major treat, I

also did a message here, a couple years

back. I think it was showing that Goliath

has a picture of the antichrist. Who could

make war with him. Right? I raised freaked

out. But David,

made war with him amen,

and he was hit with a rock in

the head. Right?

Now even the rock is a picture of

Jesus, he's cut out with the hands that

destroys the image. Right, of Ne Can,

and and the beast kingdoms in the end,

you know?

And his brother, you know, 1 of his

brothers had 6 fingers in 6 toes.

You know, 6... And I show 666

in

relationship to,

goliath himself and and how he's defeated. And

no 1 can make work with him. And

he basically, you know, attached to the demon

gods. Well, Abi is another picture of the

antichrist that's coming. And it's interesting because we're

living in incredible times right now.

And the times of the judges were much

like they are today.

It says there was no king in Israel.

Right?

Everybody did what was right in their own

eyes. You basically had a anarchy kinda

situation, do what that. Well... And they god

would appoint judges. Right?

And bring the people repentance and give them

some leadership

before, eventually, there would be God's stalled king,

and that's a whole another story.

And people clam for king and then God

gave him a king and then that king

ended becoming evil and then he gave another

king after his own heart named David.

But this guy is installing himself as king

in the midst of the judges.

We live in a day in age where

people are doing what's right in their own

eyes as well.

And right now, there's people clamoring for political

power.

Here in the United States we live in

a democratic republic.

A lot of people talk about democracy, but

we forget it's a democratic republic. It's supposed

to be representative government. Right? That's supposed to

stand for some certain moral things. Right? That

supposed to be reflect, righteousness and the morality

that you see in the scripture, I'm not

saying where a Christian government. I mean, when

you take out your your your your dollar

balance says in God, we trust how many

of us believe that that's true of our

country.

It's not at all, not by long shot.

And these 3

you know,

branch the government are supposed to keep each

other accountable,

but that's not really happening so much now

is it. You know? It's actually pretty sad

what's taking place.

And

I know what biden is really biting up

to Trump right now and he's so heartbroken,

you know, what happened,

you know, and everything and and it seems

like All love each other, but there's a

lot of ugliness in politics.

On on both sides the aisle, by the

way, you know?

And I I praise God because,

we've been emphasizing over the last couple years

praying for your leaders more. And I say

emphasizing, I mean, emphasizing more than I had.

In the first several years of my password

because I would look like, you,

Bill Clinton and then Like, oh, So hard

to pray for not that I pray for

them, but I thought I need to encourage

prayer for these guys more. You know? And

I'm glad Steve did that in regard to

the leadership that we have now. But I'm

also praying for a new leadership.

Well,

we pray for new leadership, but the Bible

said it's gonna be worse. Yeah. But could

you imagine how much worse it would be

if you didn't pray.

Think about that. And by the way new

leadership is ultimately coming.

Thy kingdom come, I will be dead amen.

He will still his son and saw his

son on the holy hill. Amen.

So my vote is always king Jesus ultimately.

Amen.

So as we look at this,

and we look at this king,

it's important to understand the judge that preceded

him

a judge that preceded this king of

Was a man by the name of Gideon.

Gideon was

a judge, not a king, but he was

an awesome judge.

He has some moral failures afterwards too, and

it was actually his story is actually quite

sad.

And we reached something very interesting about him

when they wanted to make him king

And we read that in judges 8 before

we get to judge's 9 and look at

judges 8 verse 22.

Judges 8:22

Judges have to 8 verse 22. It's up

on the big screen as well. If you

don't have a phone or you wanna look

at the screen.

It says, then the men of Israel said

to Gideon,

rule over us.

Both you and your son and your son's

son

for you have delivered us from the hand

of of mit.

And what the battle that was. Right? If

you remember that battle,

when he overcame the nights. But Gideon had

said to them, I will not rule over

you.

Nor shall my son rule over you. The

lord shall rule over you.

Now that is all precious because he's saying,

hey, God's is not appointing me as king.

God put me as judge.

But you want me to have a dynasty

where I rule as your king and then

my sons and my, you know,

his son and my grandson and so forth,

He goes, that's not where it's gonna be.

The Lord is going to rule over you.

The problem is is as you know, if

you read the book of judges why you

find over and over again? They're doing what's

right in their own eyes. God brings them

repentance. A oftentimes that happens by God allowing

their enemies to attack them, and they go

into slavery and they cry to God. And

god delivers him from that slavery

because they repent, and then he bless them

and they have some prosperity and and then

they

take the ease again and they began to

look to the idol or the pagan practices

and sexual sin and they go back into

the wicked.

And they go into slavery all over again.

It's just repeated. Rinse, wash, get dirty, you

know, so forth. Over and over again. Well,

Gideon recognizes he doesn't want step out of

what God is doing.

The crazy thing is though is,

even though Gideon said he didn't want become

a king.

He begins to live like a kingdom though.

He becomes incredibly lavish and in the way

he begins to dress, and he takes a

bunch of wives con beans and so forth.

And he begins to live like a king.

And it's not sending the the best message,

and then we go to judges chapter 9

Judges 9 · chapter mention

versus 1 and 2.

And I be, the son of Ge A,

Say J or Ge A.

Connected to the word ball, by all or

ball or bail or the false God.

And by the way, whenever you see Jeremiah

all now,

it's talk about Gideon.

Getting... This is his name that they're calling

him.

It's a pagan name. And

there... You'll see him call that throughout this

chapter.

went to she.

To his mother's relatives

and a lot of

can nights. Because remember they had just come

leaders and

basically almost like wives, but they typically wouldn't

live with the king or they wouldn't live,

live in their, you know, their family's house,

know? This was not the way the Lord,

Lord took said let 2. Right? Become 1

flash. Right? And God said, when he gave

a law, not for for the king's not

to multiply to yourselves wives. That's his warning.

Now here,

this is part of Gideon his mistake,

and he has a wife

or a will call from she

And the Shu, you know, Abi says, hey,

guys. He's rallying for political power.

He wants to rule over these guys.

And he says, hey, do you want, you

know, those his half brothers really?

Do you want them to rule over you?

There's no evidence by the way we don't

say anything in the text There's no evidence

that the 70 brothers were seeking to rule

over She.

But he puts a scare tactic out there.

Hey. Why don't you set me up as

your king? Because I'm 1 of your relatives,

you know? It's a political

maneuver.

So it's quite interesting

what we are seeing here.

And in chapter 9 verse 3, we read

this. And his mother's relatives spoke all these

words

on his behalf.

And in the hearing of all the leaders

of She, and they were inclined to follow

For they said, he is our relative.

Now, She was a very, very, very fascinating

place

because She

was a place where Abraham went to an

oak tree and made a covenant, and that's

where God reveals himself.

To Abraham,

by showing him, and this is in Genesis

chapter 12, showing him the, all the land

of Israel.

As far as you could see telling him

that he he would possess this land.

Atlantic.

Now that wouldn't come for over 400 years.

Right?

But he's saying I'm gonna give you this

land, which the land flowing with milk and

honey the promised then. Which he he did.

So this is where Abraham was promised.

The land. It's also interesting because this is

a place she them where his grandson Jacob,

Dug a well

to the lord,

bless the lord there.

And worship him there.

Fact is interesting.

It's there. That's the center of what is

now known as, and would later be known

as Sam.

Remember the woman at the well.

The woman at the well in Sami mary,

you can still go to that well.

It's hard to get in place and have

safety in some of the areas of Sam

area, modern sam area, but, that well exists

today.

A she is also where Joseph was

bones were buried.

Remember, after Abraham,

you know, they went into captivity,

Jacob's 12 sons. Right?

It wasn't captivity yet because God used Joseph

there in safety, even they were blessed for

them, and then they became enslaved, and then

you have the exodus and the red sea.

And then coming back into the

coming into the promise that god had promised

them, but God brought the bones

of Joseph

through his people, the his israelites out of

Egypt.

of death and brought them into the promised.

And it was here in She

where they were buried. Very fascinating,

history,

has. I hope on our Israel trip, we

to a specific place, which you'll see pictures

It's kinda hard to get there. Here you

fascinating.

And this is Where Jason encountered the woman

with the well as well. Chapter 9 verse

4. They gave him 70 pieces of silver.

That is the those who rallied around

And they followed him.

something like that. Now I believe that's always

true. I believe there's states and people that

are noble but they're far between it's... Hard

to climb that ladder. Hence the reason for

needing to pray. Amen, and crying out to

god. But it's interesting He has his hen

surround him to do his murderous bidding, then

chapter 9 verse 5. Then he went to

his father's house

at Oprah

And the 70... You tries to put 70

Seventies is a very interesting number in the

bible.

It's a number like 7 of perfection. How

many times she'll forgive my brother. Jesus up

to 7 times says, Peter. Not up to

7 times Peter, but what

70

times 7.

Moses appointed 70 elders to help him enroll

israel.

You see that number come up a lot.

In fact, I looked at more than that.

I thought, I'm not gonna use all these

you an understanding,

contrary to God's law,

ex himself and rejecting

God's rule over his people

That's a numbers 11:16, if you're looking up

Numbers 11:16

the passage. The other ones in Matthew 18

on the forgiveness.

to our English word remain, and that doesn't

mean and and and there will be survivors

that will be alive at the end of

the tribulation period.

We know that from various texts. Some will

be killed. So be beheaded in Revelation 13

8 through 10, some will go into prison

it says. You know,

in the captivity.

We know that well others will be, you

know,

in their homes. Wanna be taken and wanna

don't be left. Right?

In the sitting next to, you know, your

wife or whatever. You're taking she's left or

vice versa and make sure you're both saved.

symbolic. Of God's coming judgment, which is very

fascinating.

So it's really interesting to me
