Do you know the Bible is God's Holy Word? Do you know it is
-
inspired, in errant, and infallible? If so, like, share,
-
subscribe and support this podcast. So we are Maranatha Ministries and now Reduction Draweth
-
Nigh. Welcome, Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the program. I am
-
your host, Matthew. Tonight, we have a special guest and his name
-
is Joshua Dobbs. The ministry that he is a part of is Truth in
-
Christ. This is how I stumbled across him in my research to maybe start
-
doing TikTok. I wanted to look around and see, you know, what
-
was going on, and I found Joshua. So, Joshua, why don't
-
you just give us a thumbnail sketch of what it is you do well.
-
I run a personal ministry here at home, but also preaching at church.
-
I also have a YouTube channel, TikTok channel, do a lot of things
-
online trying to correct things that people misunderstand about scripture. Of course, we've
-
been focused on eschatology more here lately because there's a big, a big desire
-
for eschatology, there's a hunger for it. I've noticed that a lot of
-
people are starting to notice that there are things that many preachers out there are
-
teaching that simply isn't true when they start looking at the scripture for themselves.
-
Of course, this kind of actually started for me online because you know,
-
there are a point where they were closing down churches, not allowing people to
-
go to church. So to stay in contact with my church, I started
-
doing messages online so they could still hear the word of God, and it
-
just kind of grew from there, started gaining subscribers. Didn't really expect it
-
to go anywhere, and then God blessed it and it is reaching out to
-
more and more people. So the reason why we're having you on today is
-
because you have a very I don't want to say unique, but it is
-
in that your biblical prophecy model is what you can get from the plain reading
-
of the text, and that is a post trib pre millennial model. Yes,
-
so can you describe first how you got to that conclusion that that was
-
the correct model. Well, like, it was just the plain reading of
-
the text. As far as the word rapture, I didn't even understand what
-
the word rapture was. I just saw the second Coming of Christ and that
-
the church would be gathered to him when he returned. And then you know,
-
as you start getting into church, because I started reading the Bible before
-
even got into church, and then God pulled me into church and he saved
-
my soul. But I just kept with this research of just reading the Bible.
-
And what I noticed is that in many of these denominational churches and among
-
many ministers out there was to keep talking about the rapture and pre tribulation rapture,
-
and what they were telling me just did not add up with what I
-
read. And that's sort of just where I stayed was with the text,
-
not with the teaching, not with narratives. Because if you noticed a lot
-
lot of times, and I've talked about this on my channel, is that
-
a lot of people will indoctrinate you with the narrative and then they might cite
-
a scripture, may not even read the scripture, but cite the scripture as
-
if somehow it's supported the position. So if you look at you know,
-
one Corinthians fifteenth chapter where it talks about that we are transformed to the twinkling
-
of an eye, they'll say, well, that's an invisible return of Christ,
-
and that we will just disappear. But that's not what it says.
-
It actually just says that you will be transformed in the twinkling of an eye.
-
So I started looking at the methods that teachers were using, and that's
-
actually what I will not incorporate into my ministry now. If you know,
-
it's like, I do a lot of reading of text on my channel because
-
I want people to actually see the text, read the text, hear the
-
text and see that this is what scripture actually it says, and not a
-
narrative. Well, that's the most effective way to do it. I have
-
come to find out in the thirteen years of this ministry is that if you
-
give people the Bible, God's Holy Word, you give them that you really
-
don't need much more. It will have a mass effect on them if they
-
will just read it. Now, that's the main problem with the church today
-
is that people will not read it, they will not get familiar with the
-
text, they won't even listen to it. Now, I like to listen
-
to it on audio Bible. I mean I spend four hours per day in
-
God's Word, whether that's in the text itself or when I'm driving. You
-
can take this to the bank. The Millers don't listen to the radio.
-
We have the Bible on MP three and that's what we listen to when we're
-
when we're going somewhere. So I've found that to be the most effective.
-
But you know, let's concentrate on this. You mentioned First Corinthians chapter fifteen.
-
Now, the one thing that really blows my mind away is when you
-
put it to these people who are rapturos and you say, okay, so
-
when is the resurrection? Because First Corinthians chapter fifteen is quite clear that the
-
resurrection takes first. Then we who are alive and are remained go through this
-
change that you're talking about. That's when we get changed after the resurrection.
-
And you're reading from the text, when does the resurrection happen? And it's
-
when Christ returns. I think what's interesting is when you also, of course,
-
later I started diving into biblical languages, and you always find there's this
-
Greek word perusia. When you look up the definition of perusia, it is
-
a visible return. It's not an invisible They say you can't see him when
-
he comes to gather the church, gather together the elect They say, this
-
happens before the tribulation and that he is invisible, that this is a secret,
-
invisible coming of Christ. But that's not how the Greek even reads.
-
It reads that he will return and appear visibly. Well, that's one of
-
the major problems they have with this is that not in Jeremiah, not in
-
Daniel, not in Zachariah, there is never any receipt, any secret return,
-
not ever. It's it's it's it's very visible, and it's very impactful
-
on creation itself. It's of high impact when it happens. Well, now
-
you mentioned Daniel twelve, and you know or mentioned Daniel, But in Daniel
-
twelve, very clearly the resurrection does not happen before the tribune. You know,
-
it is actually after the tribulation that there is a resurrection in Daniel twelve.
-
You know now that you've breached that topic, now that you've gone down
-
to the specific chapter. This is not the only time this is said,
-
right, this is said many times in scripture. And this is what the
-
problem is. And I really enjoyed this, this TikTok that I watched of
-
you. This this uh, this paradigm that is mentioned in Thessalonians, because
-
it kind of describes the same exact thing, right right, Well, yeah,
-
Second, Thessalonians, their first chapter is very clear that it's in what
-
Paul does, and this is something that pre tribulation rapture teachers and many of
-
the believers. They struggle with that, and many of them, after having
-
it explained to them, refused to accept. Paul takes the situation and the
-
problems of the Church of Leslonaika that they were being persecuted, that they were
-
facing, and he called it tribulation. But also what's interesting is that they
-
endured it with patience and faith. Well, Apostle John in the Book of
-
Revelation. John in Revelation, what does he say. He talks about the
-
patience and the faith of the saints. When he talks about this topic in
-
Revelation, what is interesting is that he pronounces that God is going to punish
-
the wicked that persecuted the church. Those who will take people into captivity will
-
be took into captivity. He also promises to throw them into the lake of
-
fire. And then you take that back to Paul when he talks about the
-
church, you know, enduring it with patience and faith, just like you
-
read in the Book of Revelation, he promises. And this is the interesting
-
thing. God makes this problem that those who trouble the church, God will
-
recompense or reward those people with tribulation. And now this all when you read
-
this chapter, it leads into the second coming of Christ when he returns with
-
his angels. So this isn't a secret coming. This is the second coming
-
of Jesus Christ. And he is promising the saints that have been persecuted,
-
that have been troubled by the wicked, that God will reward tribulation on those
-
people. And so then you have to look at what does this mean for
-
the tribulation. Well, the tribulation is just simply God looking at the persecution
-
of the church and rewarding those who persecute the church with tribulation. So God's
-
reaction to the persecution is the tribulation. That's how Paul is defining the tribulation.
-
Well, the problem with that is is that when we go to Matthew
-
chapter twenty four, verse nine, we have this straight from the Messiah's mouth.
-
I mean, this is straight from his mouth. Then they will deliver
-
you up to tribulation, Yes, put you to death, and you will
-
be hated by all nations for my namesake, and then many will fall away
-
and betray one another and hate one another, and YadA, YadA, YadA
-
YadA. Yes, this is saying emphatically that we will go through persecution.
-
However, it does not say we're going to go through any judgments exactly.
-
That is. That's what I'm saying, is God's response to the persecution.
-
The pre tribulation rapture teachers, they give this, I guess backwards view of
-
what the plagues are, the plagues according to pre tribulation rapture teachers. And
-
I will tell you something also, when you confront them with this, you'll
-
be You'll see how quickly many of them will change course and claim that's not
-
what I teach or that's not what I believe. They abandon. Many of
-
them will abandon their beliefs quickly. But the standard model, and you'll hear
-
this all over social media. You'll hear this out of the mouth of many
-
people who believe in pre tribulation rapture, is that the plagues not only punish
-
the wicked and the ungodly, and the beast and his kingdom, but it
-
will also punish the tribulation saints. This fictitious group that they have designed to
-
try and get around the scriptures. That says that the beast, and this
-
is the funny part is the Beast is going to make war with the Saints
-
and overcome them. And that is just that's ripped right out of the Book
-
of Daniel, because Daniel says the same thing is that the little horn is
-
going to make war with the Saints. It also says that he will wear
-
out the Saints. So when they see that the Saints is being persecutable,
-
they said this, this is a separate group. This is completely different.
-
This isn't the church. These are the people that are left behind, because
-
the Church has already been departed. But their point is is they're saying that
-
the plagues will punish the people who were left behind. And that's of course
-
also what they use to scare people into believing their doctrine, because if you
-
don't believe in pre tribulation rapture, according to many of the teachers, well
-
you're going to be left behind and God is going to pour out his wrath
-
on you. Then this makes survivability reduced to zero because if you have the
-
beast and the fallen angels killing you and harassing you, and you have God
-
himself harassing you and killing you. You can't catch that in some game.
-
That is an in some game. And that is the one of the biggest
-
problems with their doctrine is the simple fact that you've got it coming from all
-
sides. How is there going to be anybody left for the first resurrection,
-
Because according to them, the first resurrection is a second Depending on which teacher
-
you listen to, they'll say that the first resurrection is a two part resurrection
-
or a three part resurrection, depending on which teacher you listen to. But
-
so in their system of theology, well, there wouldn't be anybody left for
-
that resurrection mentioned in Revelation the twentieth chapter. And also there's not but one
-
coming of Christ after the first Advent. There isn't another coming mentioned in scripture.
-
So the only way that you can look at this when it says this
-
is the first Resurrection and Revelation of the twentieth chapter, this is at the
-
end of the tribulation, the beast is feed, Jesus Christ has claimed absolute
-
victory. We're ready for the millennial reign. You can't say that there is
-
another resurrection that happens prior to it, because then this isn't really the first
-
resurrection. And herein lies the problem is that the Bible calls it not the
-
third rate, it calls it the first. It doesn't just say it's the
-
first resurrection. So you would think that that would be the monkey wrench in
-
the works. I mean, you'd think that would completely get people thinking along
-
different lines. But they they capitalize on their ability to confuse, and once
-
they confuse people, then they can get them to believe anything. Well,
-
and I kind of digressed a little bit, but going back to your the
-
point that you were talking about these plagues, if you really look at scripture,
-
you're going to be hard pressed to find a scripture that actually says these
-
plagues target the saints that are alive during the tribulation. Now you're going to
-
find scripture that says these plagues target people who persecute the prophets and the saints.
-
It says that it's the righteous judgment of God to give those people blood
-
to drink, and the reason why he's giving them blood to drink is because
-
they shed the blood of the prophets and saints. That is God doing exactly
-
what Paul said, in the paradigm, he is rewarding tribulation on those that
-
trouble the church. Now here's the interesting part. The Greek word, if
-
you go back to it, you know, phillipsis is the word for tribulation.
-
There is a word when it says those that trouble you, and that's
-
I'm read. Of course, this is from the King James version Bible,
-
those that trouble you. If you actually look at that in the Greek it
-
is actually saying that those who put you through tribulation are those who tribulate you.
-
So it's actually telling us that God is again rewarding those who put the
-
Church through tribulation with their own tribulation. But that is what Revelation is telling
-
us with the plagues, is that it is and it is indeed targeting the
-
ungodly. It's targeting the beast, it's targeting his kingdom, it's targeting the
-
wicked, it is targeting those who persecute the church. But it also says
-
that those people do not repent of their deeds, and that becomes another problem
-
for pretribulation rapture because according to them, well, these plagues are going to
-
pressure people into believing. It does not say that. It says they will
-
not repent of their deeds. But the plagues do not target the godly.
-
It only targets the godly. And if you actually read Revelation of the eighth
-
chapter, are you're just gonna say something, I'll let you go ahead.
-
Well, this is exactly what it says repeatedly. I mean, let's go
-
to the fifth trumpet. Looking here at Revelation chapter nine. Okay, the
-
fifth the fifth trumpet blows and smoke comes out of the shaft of the abyss,
-
and these locusts come upon the earth. And verse four, these these
-
these scorpions, with the power of locusts. They were told not to harm
-
the grass of the earth or any green plant or tree, but only those
-
who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. Exactly, there's
-
there's there's no target. You'll not find it. Throughout all of Revelation.
-
You will not find that the plagues target the righteous. Does not persecute the
-
saints in any way. God does not harass or destroy the saints in any
-
way with his plagues. That is a fabrication of precribulation rapture. Now,
-
if you could would you agree with me, brother that if you cannot find
-
it in the Bible, it's not true teaching. That's right. If if
-
you cannot baseline it with a chapter in verse, it does not exist.
-
It just simply doesn't exist. And you know that's my first problem I have
-
with this, this pre tribulation. I guess partial return of Christ, it
-
doesn't exist. It never existed. God is very clear that when he comes,
-
he crashes our party, and there's no there would be no one that
-
would have the ability to hide that event, right, It's it's literally paradigm
-
shifting. So you know, this is one of the things that that's always
-
really bothered me with the prophets in the Old Testament, that book, Yeah,
-
go ahead, that specifically we were told by the minor prophets that there
-
is no secret God will tell everything to his servants, the prophets, So
-
I don't understand what ground they have to stand on saying that this is a
-
secret event. Well, does it not say that the mysteries of God will
-
be revealed at the last trumpet as a mighty effact? It does, okay,
-
And then when does he return, it's the sound of the last trumpet
-
and that's when he gathers the church. So in order for all the mysteries
-
of God to be revealed, you can't have an invisible because they get this
-
is another thing. They create a fictitious set of trumpets. So the trumpets
-
that you're reading about in the Book of Revelation will say, this is not
-
the trumpets that's being mentioned about. The last trumpet, And then you look
-
at the saints will say, well, these are not the same saints.
-
That's kind of their default answer. It's not the same, it says the
-
last trumpet. Will it's not the same last trumpet in the Book of Revelation.
-
When you say it says the saints, well it's not the same saints
-
as the church. That kind of becomes a default answer for them on a
-
great many of things. I mean, if you really pay attention to their
-
method of interpretation. Okay, Matthew, the twenty fourth chapter, there's a
-
time step, and when the Lord returns with his angels and the elect is
-
gathered together, Well, that's not the same elect And this is supposed to
-
be immediately after the tribulation. Every time it's not the same. It's not
-
the same elect it's not the same saints. It's not the same trumpets?
-
When is it the same? And it's because they're trying to explain a relay
-
scripture that explicitly states exactly the opposite of what they're teaching. Because they can't
-
prove that God is going to persecute the tribulation saints with the plagues. They
-
can't prove that there is a secret coming of Christ or an invisible coming of
-
Christ. They can't prove it. But there's tons of scripture that contradicts everything
-
that they say. And then there is a saltage. Oh you just you're
-
just not rightly dividing the word. Brother, Well, we need to get
-
to the core as to why they do this. Why do they do this?
-
Have you figured this out? Uh? And I hate to be this
-
person, but let's let's just face it. Post tribulation rapture does not sell
-
books. Now, there are many and I want to be as generous to
-
many people out there because I believe there are sincere pretribulation raptor teachers. I
-
just believe they are deceived on this topic. Many many good people out there.
-
Uh. And I don't want to go around I'm calling everybody a heretic
-
and having a nasty attitude about it. But they are wrong on this topic.
-
But for many people who are really pushing it. And you've got to
-
understand, the lay ministry gets their message from somewhere, They learn from somebody.
-
Not everybody came like me into it just by reading the Word of God.
-
Many people got converted and then got indoctrinated. And it's kind of like,
-
Okay, and I don't know if you've watched this video or not,
-
but if I tell you eight plus five equals twelve, what's five plus eight?
-
What's the answer people are going to repeat to you? Well, I
-
know the answer that I will repeat you, but because it's not going to
-
be that you know, I'm sorry, but twelve is not present in that
-
question, right, But what's most people going to tell you when they have
-
to make that split decision. They're going to be twelve. They're going to
-
repeat twelve. I've actually tried this on people you know before, and you
-
can tell who the analytical thinker is and who isn't the analytical thinker. But
-
a lot of people will tell it will repeat twelve and for that instance,
-
and I'll tell them, well, I actually did not give you the right
-
answer. You're just repeating what I'm telling you to believe. For that instance,
-
they were indoctrinated to believe that eight and five makes twelve instead of thirteen.
-
And so that's kind of the method if you can present the narrative and
-
indoctrinate them and then claim that the facts that eight and five together will equal
-
the outcome. But I've already gave you the outcome. I've already told you
-
the outcome. I want you to believe in all reality, the facts that
-
I'm telling you don't result in the answer I'm giving you. And that is
-
the method that many people are using. But again it is for many people,
-
the guys at the top. It sells books, it makes money,
-
it makes movies. Post tribulation, rapture goes against the flesh. It's not
-
the easy way out, and that's unfortunately a lot of people. They choose
-
their doctrines based on what's easy on the flesh. Well, this brings me
-
to a very particular question about that. So that being said, at what
-
point do you think that the Christians will realize they're actually in the tribulation when
-
the seals have actually begun to be broken. At what point do you think
-
everybody's going to figure that out. Well, Jesus told us when we see
-
the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place. I believe that's when a
-
lot of people are going to realize because we've been had because both Paul.
-
Paul tells us that again in Second Thessalonians, and that's in the second chapter.
-
And just to be clear to people out there, you interpret the first
-
chapter based or you interpret the second chapter based on the first chapter. The
-
first chapter is the setup for the second chapter. But in the second chapter,
-
it tells us about this anti Christ, this man of sin, standing
-
in the Holy Place to show himself that he's God. Well about the time
-
that people are worshiping him and his image is when he rules for forty two
-
months. And that's what Jesus makes clear, is when you see the abomination
-
of desolation standing in the Holy place, let him who reads understand and it's
-
talking about you know what season you're in. When you see the abomination of
-
desolation, that's when everybody's going to realize, Oh no, this isn't what
-
I've been taught. And it makes me ask the question, and I wonder
-
how many people will actually, you know, after being lied to or receiving
-
a false teaching like that, and not prepared, spiritually prepared, mentally prepared,
-
physically prepared. How many people will take the mark or will worship him.
-
You don't even have to take the mark. It just says even if
-
you worship him, you're going to the lake of fire. If you worship
-
him his image, or take the mark, any of those things will send
-
you to the lake of fire. But how many people will not be strong
-
enough to resist because they've been told, well, you're not going to be
-
the one being beheaded for this. It's a completely different group, and that
-
leaves them unprepared. You know, it seems like to me that this event
-
horizon. And by the way, you did answer the question correctly. I've
-
asked that question to many people, and all of them give all kinds of
-
crazy answers except what Jesus said. They'll give all kinds of crazy things except
-
what Jesus said that the event horizon you're going to know is when the abomination
-
of desolation takes place. And they're so they call themselves Christians, and they
-
say that they believe the Bible, but they're so far disconnected from that reality.
-
It's astonishing. Well, there was a Christian comedian that made a joke
-
about seminary school says, you know, you'll learn a lot of things that's
-
not in the Bible and seminary school and I believe it. I believe that's
-
a lot of times people go to And I'm not bashing people for furthering their
-
education or anything like that, but you have to fact check what you're being
-
taught. I mean, the Brians received, they listened to Paul's message,
-
and they were glad of his message. They liked his message, but they
-
still went back and they searched the scriptures. And Luke said that those people
-
were more notable, more noble than the Thessalonians because the Boreans were actually going
-
back to the scripture with what Paul taught. Paul didn't get offended. And
-
this is unfortunately, when someone cannot back their teaching with scripture, you find
-
the law of these teachers get very offended. And that's what I'm hearing from
-
people who are leaving pre tribulation rapture. There is an exodus right now from
-
pre tribulation rapture, and all the other different views right now are rubbing their
-
hands together and they're licking their chops because dispensationalism is dying a death of a
-
thousand cuts. They're the majority right now. But I really think that God
-
is sending his truth out into the world, and I'm watching people defect,
-
but I'm also watching the dispensational pre tribulation rapture teachers fight as hard as they
-
can to hold on to people and to bully them or do whatever it takes
-
to keep them in that belief. But people are starting to read the scripture
-
for themselves because the scripture is very clear there is not this promise of a
-
pre tribulation rapture. Well, there's not a promise of a partial return of
-
Christ. There is no promise of that, and those are hollow words,
-
yes, But here's something also, I think that pre tribulation rapture teachers and
-
believers are not looking at. That's in Revelation the eighth chapter, which is
-
one of the premises that I've been facing, I mean through scripture, the
-
treatment of the saints who lived through the tribulation. On Revelation the eighth chapter
-
is very clear about something is that the plagues do not start until the prayers
-
of the saints are offered up to God. It says that the angels prepare
-
themselves to sound the trumps, but they do not sound the trump. It's
-
until the prayers of these saints is being offered up. Now. According to
-
pre tribulation rapture teaching, the church isn't mentioned after Revelation the third chapter by
-
name, which technically isn't true. Towards the lighter part of the Book of
-
Revelation that the word church is used again. But I know what they mean.
-
They're trying to say that through the eschological prophecy of the tribulation itself,
-
the Church isn't mentioned by the term saint. However, the prayers of these
-
saints, these so called tribulation saints, go up before the plagues even commenced,
-
which then makes the question what are they praying for? Please God take
-
my life through these plagues. Well, persecute me with these plagues, Please
-
God punish me with these pigs. What are these people praying for? And
-
why is God, according to their model, punishing them for praying and repenting.
-
Well, we have a real problem here with logistics, because if you're
-
already up there, if you're already in heaven. You've been raptured out uh
-
tree trib So how high does their prayers have to go? Because they should
-
be they should actually those prayers should actually travel horizontally over to the throne,
-
not up to the throne I mean, is that just me or not?
-
Well, that's because their teaching is that the saints, the term saints does
-
not mean the church. These are the left behind saints according to them.
-
But then again, what okay, what depiction of God do we have now
-
by their model? If the prayers of these saints that are going to be
-
destroyed by these plagues, they're going to be harassed, persecuted, named,
-
starved to death by these plagues. Right, So what kind of God do
-
we have in their model when they pray to him and then he starts destroying
-
them, and then they tell us we pervert the the character of God.
-
Well, at least in our model we have by scripture based in scripture,
-
God responds to our troubles and our tribulation by rewarding those who hurt us,
-
who trouble us with tribulation. The plagues is God's vengeance against those who trouble
-
the church. So God is protecting us. God has taken care of us.
-
It's just like in the days of Elijah. You and I have you
-
know, talked about this already. Elijah, he may have been inconvenienced by
-
the drought that was a part of his ministry, but God did not suffer
-
him to be destroyed by the drought that was a part of his ministry.
-
And on top of that, you know, once Elijah was fed up,
-
you know, he runs out and he runs out into the wilderness to die
-
and lo and behold, God's says, by the way, there's seven thousand
-
other people that were not tribulated by this drought for three and a half years,
-
Nor was the woman he was staying with. So you know, you
-
can't say that will it was just Elijah and the woman that was spair.
-
No, God himself says, there's seven thousand others that have not been to
-
neither bail nor kissed him. So we got to I mean, there is
-
no problem here. And you know we've already read from Revelation chapter nine.
-
It was very clear it did not target God's people, right, nor would
-
it target God's people. The only thing the Lord Jesus Christ said to expect
-
was persecution. But this also comes back to the patients and the faith of
-
the saints. You know, we talk about Elijah, he's done, he
-
is mentally or out, he's physically wore out. You know, Jezebel's coming
-
for him as far as he's concerned, because Jezebel is again persecuting the prophets,
-
and this is a as we talked about, a three and a half
-
year process. That's right, So they not see a correlation between the Book
-
of Revelation in Elijah in his story. I'm sorry, I don't see how
-
that's possible. I mean, because the New Testament twice twice it comes out
-
and tells you it was exactly three years six months. There's no way you
-
can separate these two timelines because it's there in the texting. Twice is twice,
-
okay, So I don't see how they can do that. They can
-
omit it. I mean, they can omit that simple fact that you don't
-
put so you don't put two and two together. But we could definitely say
-
that this ratio could apply to the church that even though Elijah was told by
-
God himself, no, I've got seven thousand people in my back pocket during
-
this time of the Great tribulation. God's going to have I would hope a
-
whole lot more than that in his back pocket. And if Jezebel could not
-
touch Elijah, no more importantly, if Jezebel could not touch the zerapath woman,
-
you can take this to the bank. No one is going to lay
-
one rotten finger on you. Not the devil, not the beast from the
-
Abyss, not the beast from the earth, the false prophet, whatever name
-
you can come up with, They're not going to be able to lay one
-
stinking finger on you. And that is if you still have a mission or
-
a calling in life, like Elijah had. God wasn't done with Elijah.
-
He had more plans for him. And again Elijah was tired, he was
-
exhausted. He's being hunted by Jezebel. They're going through this drought. He's
-
surviving off of food brought to him by a raven and he's just please,
-
God, just take my life. We go back to the patience and the
-
faith of the saints. That's the reason why the Book of Revelation is telling
-
us to have patience, to have faith, not that God is going to
-
persecute us with plagues, but to have patience and faith that the people who
-
are giving us all these problems, God is going to take care of them.
-
And it's just it's astounding that that is so highly overlooked. This message
-
of God is going to take care of you. If people are coming against
-
the Church, people are coming against you, God is going to to do
-
something about it. And those things might inconvenience you a little bit. It
-
inconvenienced Elijah, but it did not take him out of this world. Well,
-
I like to look at this through the lens of Psalm ninety one.
-
Now we understand that that Psalm says that you know that the angels will make
-
sure that we're protected. Right, Well, isn't that exactly what First King's
-
chapter nineteen says. Twice, And I'll read reading from First King's chapter nineteen.
-
And he laid down and slept under a broom tree, and behold,
-
an angel touched him and said to him, arise and eat. And he
-
looked, and behold there was at his head a cake of bread on hot
-
stones, and a jar of water. And he ate and drank and lay
-
down again. And the Angel of the Lord came again the second time and
-
touched him and said, oh, right and eat, for the journey is
-
too great for you. Here's the punchline, verse eight. And he arose
-
and ate and drank and went in the strength of that food forty days and
-
forty nights to form the amount of God. So should we have unequivocably that
-
Psalm ninety one came true for Elijah. You can't deny that Psalm ninety one
-
did come true for Elijah. And you can take this to the bank.
-
God's going to have a whole lot more than seven thousand people in his back
-
pocket. And let's also look at this way in the paradigm. After that
-
three and a half years, what happened to all the enemies of God?
-
He took care of every one of them, from Jezebel to a half to
-
the prophets of Beil. God took away all of them. That's right.
-
But it wasn't before. It was after. It was after, Yes,
-
it was after. And you have a time frame here. We know for
-
certain that there's going to be involvement in that last portion of time of that
-
one thousand sixty days, whether it's longer than forty days, I'm sure that
-
you and I would hope it's longer than forty days. But you can take
-
this to the bank when you're at the end of your rope. Psalm ninety
-
one will be answered for you by God himself. Yes, and of course
-
I know, you know a lot of pre trips are gonna rebuttal and say,
-
but people were being beheaded again. That comes down to if you still
-
have a mission, If you have there's some reason God wants you around.
-
The enemy cannot take you down. You know there's going to be and sometimes
-
some people's death, let's look at the death of Jesus has a purpose and
-
that could be it could change somebody's mind, It could turn somebody around.
-
See the unjust persecution of good people that never done them wrong. Maybe they
-
didn't take the mark of the Beast, didn't worship the beast, didn't worship
-
his image. They know there's something shady about this guy. But they start
-
seeing Christians being destroyed. That's going to turn those people around. And that's
-
actually when Christianity becomes its strongest. It's under persecution. That's when you gain.
-
Actually a lot of your converts is under persecution right now. We kind
-
of especially here in America, we have such a soft, easy living.
-
Persecution for us is just somebody calling us a name, I mean, and
-
someone will call them a name, and somebody expects a martyr's crown for being
-
called a name. You don't understand what the people in the first century dealt
-
with with. You understand what the people and the Old Testament dealt with And
-
this is this is something that we've become, so we've become so soft in
-
our spiritual lives here in this country that we cannot fathom the idea that bad
-
things happen to good people, or can happen to good people. But you
-
know, absolutely, I agree, absolutely, I agree, and it's it's
-
it's very bothersome to me that for some reason in this day and time that
-
Christians are not being taught what the Greek word for witnesses. And I'm sorry
-
to rent on everybody's party. It's the word for martyr, the word for
-
witness, it's the work for martyr and Greek. And there is no reason
-
for us to be afraid that God is going to in any way, shape
-
or form, arget his own bride. That's just not going to happen,
-
right, all right, Joshua's your what's your closing comments? Well, I
-
guess would be to reach out to people who are disagreeing with us. I
-
hope they will watch this video and it gives them something to look at.
-
But read the Bible for yourself, don't base it on anybody's opinion. And
-
I always tell people, even when they watch my videos and my teachings,
-
whether it's a video or in person, when I preach, take the scriptures.
-
Whatever someone's saying, be like a Brian. Take the scriptures, take
-
what they've cited, read the full chapter, read the chapter before and after,
-
even and put what they say to the test. That's the only way
-
you're going to keep from being deceived. Because I worry about people's spiritual lives
-
and people not willing to be prepared for hard times. Because hard times,
-
whether we want them or not, they will come, and we need to
-
be prepared, but not just in the physical, not just in this world.
-
Spiritually, we need to prepare to have patience and to keep our faith
-
in times of trouble. I think there's something that I would like to add
-
to that. You know, read the chapter before, read the chapter after,
-
put the verses to the test. But most importantly, I think is
-
to put them in context. Yes, yes, well, if you read
-
the if you're reading the entire chapters, it makes it easier to put it
-
into context. Far too often people just to isolate versus in and you and
-
I both know sometimes we have to just cite the verse and move on when
-
you're teaching something for the sake of time. But we should present those verses
-
in context. But it is also up to the audience to take that scripture
-
and go back and read the chapter to make sure that we are presenting it
-
in that context. Amen to that. Amen to that. Well, share
-
with everybody where they can find truth in Christ death. So you can find
-
truth in Christ on YouTube. You can find us on TikTok as well.
-
There is a Facebook page. I don't really put as much videos there,
-
but main places is YouTube and TikTok. Right now, well, Joshua,
-
it was a pleasure discoursing with you, and I do hope that God blesses
-
your ministry and until next time, God bless God speed, I bless you.
