Open your Bibles to Philippians chapter 2 and meet me at verse 9.

We'll read through to verse 10.

Philippians chapter 2, verses 9 through 10.

Philippians 2:9–10

Therefore God has highly exalted him and given him the name which is above every name,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven,

of those on the earth and of those under the earth.

I want to talk to you today about the name of Jesus.

Many, many years ago, I worked corporate America.

You guys know my story. Worked at a very large bank. I was hired to work in

a call center, which had over 10,000 employees at this call center.

We're talking about a very large call center.

And how many of you are familiar with the call center? I mean,

it's simply rows and rows, okay, of cubicles, not even cubicles. Cubicles are square.

Cubicles are like a V, and they are stacked with each other.

So you can have in this V sort of setting, you can have different people,

a lot more people in there than you do cubicles.

It takes up a lot less space than a cubicle does.

So you got rows and rows of cubicles and you have tons of people in there with

headsets on, ready to receive phone calls.

And the calls keep coming and they keep coming and they keep coming.

And sometimes you just need a little break, right?

It can get very monotonous. It can get overwhelming.

And usually when people call, they're not trying to tell you a good testimony

about what the Lord has done in their life, right?

They want something. That's the reason why they're called.

And so I needed a break. But before we take that break, you're judged in a call

center really off of the amount of calls you can take.

And you're also judged by how efficiently you can help the clients that call.

And thank God for the clients. I mean, they gave us a job. Thank God for them calling.

And so you're judged off of that. And so I needed to take a break.

It had been getting, that particular day, it had been getting overwhelming.

The amount of calls we're getting, the amount of needs that were taking place.

And it was time for my break. And so I stepped outside, and I went into this

area that I like taking a break in, and I saw a large water fountain.

And this particular water fountain

was just kind of a place that gave you like an ambiance, you know.

It was something that gives you an opportunity to relax and to breathe and to

reset your mind and reset your emotions.

And I would just hang by this water fountain. and

that particular day as I was hanging around the water

fountain taking my 15 minute break I saw

a wallet and this wallet was

just laying there right by the fountain I walked up to it I

grabbed the wallet I looked around to see if anybody was

frantically looking for their wallet nobody was matter

of fact I was the only one out there and and

so I'm like well someone has left their wallet I open it up

and there are a limited amount of

20s right in this one I had a lot of money in the wallet I

get the wallet my break times over I head back

inside and I go up the

elevator push the button to go up now understand this complex

this campus has over 10,000 people that work there so every elevator is always

full okay and so elevator comes this is a full school elevator and you walk

in the elevator and you turn around and you face like the elevator door, right?

There was one funny time, I wasn't planning on telling the story,

but there was this young woman that was in front and this guy walked in and

he just stood right there and he just faced her. I'm like, dude,

are you not gonna turn around?

He just stood there and faced her and she kept doing this.

I didn't plan on telling that. But nevertheless, I was in the elevator this particular day.

I turn, I walk, I get out, the door's open. I go up to my floor, the door's open.

And at the area I was, there was like a welcome table where two ladies worked

this table. And I knew them.

Rita and Martha was her name. They were very nice ladies.

And I went, I said, hey, ladies, I have found a wallet.

It's got a lot of money in it. I don't know who it is. can y'all get it to the

right person? I mean, we're talking about 10,000 people work here, right?

And so they said, thank you. Well, unknowingly, there was a guy that was in

the elevator with me who had followed me out.

I didn't know it. He kind of observed it. I went to my desk,

got back on the phone and kept working.

Well, all of a sudden, my manager comes up to me. He's patting me on the back,

while on the phone. He said, go ahead and take another little break.

I'm like, okay. So I hit the button that you can take a little break on,

and he's patting me on the back. He's like, great job, man, great job.

I'm like, what are you talking about? Thank you. Then another manager comes

over from this, the call center was huge, so we had multiple managers,

comes over, and she's patting me on the back.

Awesome job, Devon, great job. I'm like, okay, and then there's a line of people

coming, and people that never talked to me before,

all right, people that I walk by, Danika, and they don't say hi,

them people come in and say hi too, right, and I say hi, they don't speak back

they're coming here great job what an awesome job great job and I'm like what

is going on and they said you turnt that wallet in I,

said well how do you know that.

They said, we received an email from a man who's a manager of another department

who saw you turn the wallet in, found out who you were, asked Rita at the desk

who was that. She knew who I was.

And he sent us an email.

And we just want to let you know integrity and character is what we're looking for.

And you got it. You turned that wallet in with a lot of money in it.

You got it. I said, well, thank you.

Well, let's fast forward a bit. I'm looking to be promoted, and I go out for

another job in the same company.

I don't get the job initially. They don't give it to me. Well,

a couple days later, I get contacted. Are you still interested in the job?

Well, yeah, but y'all didn't give it to me. They say, well, we want to offer

it to you now. We don't want you to interview again for it.

It's your job. Well, I'll take it. And found out a little bit later on that

the manager of that department was the man that saw me turn in the wallet,

inquired about me, and he told the team, I don't care if he doesn't have the knowledge,

I'm looking for someone that has integrity.

I can teach and skill, you can't teach people integrity for the most part.

You either have it or you don't, right? And so here I am, received a promotion

which doubled my salary and eventually received another promotion which doubled

my salary. You guys know that part of the story.

But what if I would have took those hundreds of dollars out of that wallet?

I would have missed out on making hundreds of thousands of dollars.

In that company in the future. Come on, somebody say amen to that. And so integrity.

Was synonymous at that bank with Devon Alexander.

When they heard Devon Alexander, they heard integrity.

And this is why that man wanted to bring me on because I didn't have the skill

set to do the job. I knew I didn't. I went for it anyway.

But he says this man has integrity. integrity it became

synonymous with Devon Alexander and it it with the favor of God on it is what

led to multiple promotions and I've always wanted at the at the in my in my

very last breath at the end of the day one of the goals that I have is to always

be known as a man of integrity,

at the end of my day I want to be known as a man of character I want to have

a good reputation And so that means every single moment of every day,

you and I are going to have to do what's right and do it right because it's

right if that's what you want to be known at at the end of your days.

And so I want to be known as a man of integrity, a man of character,

a man that has a good reputation, a man that carries with it respect and weight that goes along with it.

And this is what a name carries with it.

When we hear a name, and any name you can think of, we are always going to attribute with that name.

That person's character, that person's integrity, what kind of reputation they

carry, and what kind of authority they have.

And we find here in Philippians chapter 2 that in the name of Jesus,

integrity, character, authority, power, reputation,

every knee is going to bow.

In heaven, that's in the invisible realm.

On earth, that's the visible realm. and under the earth is the demonic,

satanic realm, every knee will bow when we hear the name of Jesus.

You must understand the significance of who Jesus is.

He, through his death, burial, and resurrection, won back dominion over the

invisible and visible realms.

And so his name is our legal authority in heaven, on earth, and under the earth.

And you and I must understand the substance behind the name of Jesus.

Notice his parents didn't even name Jesus.

Before he was born, they gave him the name because God had already delivered the name.

The name carries with it a backing from heaven, a backing from the kingdom of God that nobody,

nothing can resist when you operate in the name of Jesus.

God essentially is saying, I am my name.

I am my name. Now, Mark chapter 16, 17 through 18, Mark chapter 16,

17 through 18, Jesus says this to us, very important.

He says, these signs, signs will follow those who believe. Somebody say, I believe.

I believe. These signs will follow those who believe in my name.

They shall cast out demons. They shall speak with new tongues.

They will take up serpents. And if they drink anything deadly,

it will by no means hurt them.

They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

Now let's back up here. For those that believe, how many believers are in the house today online?

Jesus said that in my name, what Jesus is saying is in my character,

in my integrity, integrity in my good reputation in my authority I'm going to

release unto you power and protection.

If you operate in my name, you're going to have power.

Over the last several weeks, we've been talking about having dominion and power,

carrying with us every single day of our life power to get things done,

power to rearrange and change things.

The illustration we have used is the electric company.

Whether you have Duke Energy or Union Power or wherever you live,

if your bill is paid, and I can say it this way, if you are a saint and a believer

in Christ Jesus, if your bill is paid,

power is automatically going to your house.

Well, how do we activate this power that is going to our home?

We have to flip the switch.

I can't say my bedroom light won't turn on unless I flip the switch.

I can't call the power company and say, hey guys, we have no power.

It looks like everything is right on our end.

You're going to have to flip the switch to activate the power.

Consequently, or likewise, we're going to also have to flip the switch and operate

in the power that God has given us through Christ Jesus.

My concern, in every message, there is a problem that we should address.

My concern is many of us are allowing the enemy or our circumstances or our

situations to dictate what happens in our life.

We are allowing the devil. We are allowing the devil in other people.

We are allowing different sort of

set of circumstances to rule and reign in

our life when Jesus has given us the

power and the authority to

change and rearrange things when we

understand that we carry with us the name of Jesus we are carrying a weapon

that can change and rearrange things somebody say amen I said somebody say amen

in Mark chapter 16 we see here in my name you're going to cast out demons.

Yesterday, I actually looked up this word demon, and one of the definitions

of the word demon is minister of the devil.

Minister of the devil or a special messenger of the devil.

I should just say a messenger because there's nothing special about him.

A messenger of the devil.

And Jesus is saying, in my name or in my authority.

You can cast out devils. That means you can stop invisible forces that are in

operation to steal, kill, and destroy out of your life.

We saw it last week. Jesus spoke to the wind because it was causing the waves

to rage and beat up the boat.

So Jesus spoke to an invisible force, commanded it to stop. It stopped.

The water stopped and peace came. What if Jesus never spoke to the invisible

force that was causing all the chaos? It would have continued.

And so if we're going to begin to activate the power of God in our life,

we're going to have to open up our mouth and command things to stop in the name of Jesus.

Command things to no longer happen, whether it's sickness, disease,

whether it's anxiety or depression, whether it's lack, whether it's feeling

lonely, whatever it might be, you're going to have to say stop in the name of Jesus.

And here's the key, when we utilize

the name of Jesus, what we're really operating in is power of attorney.

How many of you are familiar with the power of attorney? A power of attorney

simply is giving Giving someone else the ability to make decisions on your behalf

as if you were there in the flesh.

It's giving broad powers to someone else to do what you would want to happen

in the earth as if that person was there.

When Jesus says, in my name, what he's literally saying is, I'm giving you power of authority.

Come on, somebody. To utilize my power and authority on this earth as if I was standing right there.

Somebody shout amen what he's given

you is the ability to utilize the

power that it takes

to stop the enemy and the power

that you possess cannot be stopped

by any satanic or demonic force are you

listening to me there is no power on the earth that

can stop the power of the name of Jesus there is

no ability on the earth that can stop the ability that's in

the name of Jesus there's nothing on the

earth come on somebody that can stop the

power of Jesus and when we

declare in the name of Jesus to a situation what

we're really declaring is I want it

done just like Jesus would have it

done on the earth somebody shout amen y'all too

quiet up in this Holy Ghost sanctified spirit-filled

church somebody show hallelujah glory

to god it's in the name of jesus that

we possess this power and

it's in this power that we will operate and we can command things on the earth.

To stop now watch this that your authority and power is not over another human being.

You have no authority and power over another person. Your spouse,

I have authority over. No, no, no, no, no.

You have authority and power over situations and circumstances that have been

influenced by the demonic that could be operating on other people.

But remember, your enemy, your battle is not with flesh and blood.

Your battle is not with people. people your

battle is with satanic forces

that you are already victorious over all you

have to do is release the authority out of your mouth and watch things be changed

and rearranged and this is what jesus said in mark chapter 16 he says in my

Mark 16 · chapter mention

name you're going to cast out demons in my name you're going to speak with new

tongues don't be afraid of tongues it's a heavenly language.

Feel from the spirit of God from God so we can speak to God in his heavenly language.

Listen to this. You will take up serpents. That means you're going to have protection.

And if you drink anything deadly, it will by no means harm you.

Glory be to God. I said glory be to God.

I can be preaching the gospel somewhere and I can drink something unknowingly

and it may have have some poison in it, but because I'm preaching the gospel

and I've got the power of the name of Jesus,

that thing should have no effect on me. Come on, somebody say amen.

Some of y'all walking around scared, you got the power. Some of y'all walking

around timid and you carrying power with you.

Oh, watch out now, there might be a demon over there. Well, I got the Holy Ghost in me.

Hallelujah. I'm excited about what we carry because we've been beat up too long.

We've been pushed back too long.

We've been hindered for so long. And it's time for us to release what God has

already given us. Somebody shout amen.

Hallelujah. It will by no means hurt them. And I like this. They will lay hands on the sick.

And they will recover. Glory be to God. I feel like laying hands on somebody

right now. Is anybody sick in the house today?

Who is sick in the house? Anybody in the house sick? The scripture says we can

lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. EJ, come on up here, brother.

Come on up here. We're going to lay hands on the sick and they shall recover

in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah.

Glory be to God. Glory. Come stand right here.

Lift up your hands, EJ, just like this. Father, in the name of Jesus,

we're just going to obey your word.

Your word says we shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

I lay my hands on EJ right now in the name of Jesus.

And I command him to recover in Jesus' name.

Any sickness that's going on, any pain, I command you to cease and desist right

now in the mighty name of Jesus.

And I declare healing and health to take place in Jesus name hallelujah you're

healed in the name of Jesus glory be God anybody else anybody else sick in their

body anybody else glory to God hallelujah I like where the scripture says here.

They shall recover. That means it might happen immediately or it might take two months.

It might take six months. But guess what?

You shall recover. I don't know when you're going to recover, but you shall recover.

You will recover. And all you got to do is continue to operate in the name of Jesus.

Let's go to John chapter 14. John chapter 14. Look at verse 12.

Well, John chapter 14, verse 12 through 14.

John 14:12–14

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also.

So Jesus is saying we're going to do the works that he's doing and greater works

than these he will do because I go to my father.

You want to pause here real quick? I'm going to this is your homework assignment.

I don't like homework, but I'm gonna give you a homework assignment this week.

Week, find someone that's sick and obey the scripture. Say, you know what?

The scripture says that I can lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

You see someone, you know, I'm not feeling well. You know, let me pray for you.

You don't got to put the hand on their forehead and all that.

That's kind of what we do in church. But outside of church, you don't have to do that.

You just grab them by the hand and just say, be healed in the name of Jesus.

And that's all you you do? You walk up and you say, you're recovering even right now.

I was in Walmart and a lady behind the counter was saying how bad she felt.

She wasn't feeling good. It's that, you know, the scripture says that in my

name, you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

I said, you know, I said, do you want to be free from that headache?

She said, yes, I do. I'm just headache and I got some, I'm just got some chills

and all this. I said, give me your hand. We're in in the Walmart line.

She gave my hand. I said, in Jesus' name, be healed in the name of Jesus.

Let go of her hand. She goes,

I'm starting to feel better even right now. Hallelujah. I said hallelujah.

We have to activate the power. Come on, somebody shout amen.

Now let's look at verse 13. Real quick, John chapter 14, verse 13.

John 14:13

And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Verse 14. If you ask anything. Anything if you ask, if you ask in my name, I will do it.

So anything means anything.

In verse 13, he said, whatever you ask, whatever means whatever you ask.

Well, there's only certain things you can ask for.

No, whatever you ask in my name, anything in my name.

There was one particular time. Many of you know I used to pray with a UFC fighter

before he got in the octagon to fight.

And my prayer would always be that he would win.

Why would I pray anything different than that? Right? I would pray his safety

and health and all that. And then that you would come out victorious in Jesus.

Well, I had a pastor come to me and say, you shouldn't pray that.

Well, what should I? Well, you don't know what God's will is.

Well, God's will for me is for him to win.

Okay? So, well, you don't know. You just want God's will. Well,

I said, listen, let me tell you something. Scripture, Jesus said, I can ask for anything.

Anything means what? Anything. Anything. I can ask for anything in his name, and he'll do it.

Now, this word ask doesn't simply just mean request.

It also means to call for or to place a demand upon.

And so when you call, I can call for anything in the name of Jesus and he'll

give it to me. So what if I'm sick in my body?

I could call for healing in the power of attorney of Jesus as if Jesus was right

there because Jesus's name can do whatever Jesus can do.

Oh, I hope you caught that. Jesus' name can do whatever Jesus can do so I can

call for healing in the name of Jesus and Jesus says in John 14,

I'll receive my healing in Jesus' name. Come on, somebody say amen.

I could ask in Jesus' name.

That behavior, my child's acting crazy and that behavior is rebellious.

You need to start understanding if that's the case there might be demonic influence,

I'm not saying your child is possessed but I am saying they could be influenced,

don't be scared of these things because we got power over these things.

You foul spirit that's trying to influence my son and daughter,

in the name of Jesus, get off them now.

That old weak devil has to get away. Don't mean he won't try to come back,

but he got to get off for a period of time. He going to try to come back.

I told you to get away, in the name of Jesus.

But what typically happens is, well, I'm just tired. And you know what patience

really means? To continue.

It really just means continue. continued. Zavin one time was younger by a tall

son who thinks he's going to be taller than me, but he's not.

But he's, now he's there, doctor's saying he's going to be 6'1", which is crazy.

And so he was younger and we were skating and he kept trying to let go of my

hand. He was like two years old.

He kept trying to let go of my hand and said he could do it by himself. Me, me do it.

I said, you can't do it by yourself, but I got it. And he kept letting go and

I kept grabbing. He He kept letting go. I kept grabbing. He kept letting go.

And I mean, this went on a thousand times.

Literally, he kept letting go. I kept grabbing. And the Holy Spirit spoke to

me and said, this is called patience.

I was like, that's patience. You just keep doing what you just keep doing.

He kept letting go. I kept grabbing. I wasn't getting mad. I was just being patient.

Patient. Patient. And so what we have to do with the devil, because love is

patient and kind. We don't love the devil. God is love. We have to be patient.

Tell him to go. And he comes back, you tell him to go again.

I said, get off my children.

I said, get off my children. Get off my children. You got to be patient.

I ain't going nowhere. I operate in the name of Jesus.

Are you listening to me today?

When you declare the name of Jesus, you gain access to heaven,

authority on earth, and power over what lies beneath it. Come on, somebody shout Jesus.

Jesus. I went to a hotel recently.

And, well, I use the word recently because everything feels like it was recent.

This probably was five, seven years ago, this particular story, but it felt recent.

And at the time, I printed off my hotel itinerary.

And I walked into the hotel. Now, you know, it's on your phone and stuff.

At the time, I still print it off.

And I had it, and I went to the hotel, and I said, there's a room for Devon Alexander.

And they said, click, click, click, click, click. We don't have a room.

I said, there is a room for Devon Alexander.

Click, click, click, click, click, click. We don't see a room. I said, there is a room.

Click, click, click, click, click, click. We don't see a room.

I don't care if you have to build a room.

I don't care if you got to kick somebody out of a room.

I have a room. I wasn't going nowhere, Shana. I wasn't going nowhere. I got a room.

Click, click, click. They turn around, spinning around. I just stood right there.

I ain't going nowhere. Click, click, click, click. Turn around, talking, whispering.

Finally, someone was wise enough to say, can we see that paperwork you have?

Sure. I was in the wrong hotel.

The hotel I was supposed to be at was the next one.

But I wasn't going to give up. I wasn't going to stop.

Somebody was going to give me a room. I walked over and they had the room for me.

Why did I say that? We're going to have to, with the power of attorney that we possess,

be able to stand there if we're in the right are you listening to me and say

I will not be moved say that I will not be moved,

I have the power of Jesus say that I carry his power of attorney,

and I will not be moved.

When you have that mindset mindset, you are not going to just quit easily.

You're not going to give up so easily when you know I carry the power of eternity.

Attorney, I am here because Jesus asked me to be here.

You know, you're on the earth because Jesus has departed, but he left you here

with the Holy Holy Spirit, so that you can operate like he does,

so that you can occupy till he comes. Stop trying to get out of here.

Stay here so you can occupy till he comes.

Say amen to that. Well, I'm ready to go to heaven.

And that is your prerogative. That is your right. If you are and if you've lived

long enough and you want it, that is your prerogative right. Right.

But consider that you might need to stay because Jesus wants to come get you

instead of you go home to him. Come on, somebody say amen to that.

I said that because somebody needed to hear that. I didn't plan on saying that this morning.

John 16, John chapter 16, 23 to 24, John chapter 16, 23 to 24. four.

Watch this. And in that day, you will ask me nothing.

Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the father in my name, he will give you.

Until now, you have asked nothing in my name.

Ask and you will receive that your joy may be full.

Jesus's name can do anything that Jesus can do.

So when you operate and utilize the name of Jesus, his name can do anything that he can do.

Same power, same authority.

Now, what do we call someone? I may talk about this on Wednesday.

What does the law say about someone who uses his name without legal authority?

Authority what does the law call that fraud fraud

so if you aren't a believer and you don't you haven't given your life to Jesus

you try to use the name of Jesus that's fraudulent but if you are a son and

daughter and you operate and activate verbally remember everything in this This

Bible is voice activated.

You have to open up your mouth and you declare whatever it is that is stopping you or hindering you.

You begin to call for it.

Call for the opposite of it. I remember I told y'all last week about the hives that attack my body.

I begin to call for the healing.

I commanded the hives to stop and I begin to call for the healing.

And over time, didn't happen overnight, over time the hives stopped coming and

the healing was prevalent.

When you begin to call using your power of eternity, attorney, I keep saying eternity.

Well, maybe you got power of eternity too. Using your power of attorney,

you will begin to operate on the earth just like Jesus would.

Before I close, I want you to hear me say this.

I want you to begin to operate in your daily life like Jesus would.

What would Jesus do was a cool slogan that came out that everybody started using,

even unsaved folks started saying it.

But it originated from a pure heart. What would Jesus do?

Begin to operate like he would on the earth and you'll begin to see things in

your life changed and rearranged.

This is how you experience true life.
