  24. this one was for you and I remember we used to sing this

  25. song and we still do. I mean during the English

  26. Services, it is a Christian spiritual song.

  27. It Was Written in the Assyrian language but we translate it in

  28. the English language so that we can sing a during the English

  29. service. Has great to be with you and

  30. thank you again once again, for all your comments and your

  31. feedback truly appreciated. But I ask that you do, please

  32. share this podcast, we're getting met a lot of feedback

  33. now and many people are listening to these podcasts and

  34. always glorify God. Please and keep this in your

  35. prayer. There's only one purpose.

  36. And one main reason for this podcast is that the all

  37. sanctifying and living and life-giving, God is preached for

  38. those Souls who are in darkness and don't know Jesus Christ and

  39. have no relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

  40. This is our third episode looking at Salt and Light.

  41. Our scripture passage was Matthew chapter 5 verses 13 to

    Matthew 5:13–16

  42. 16. Jesus commands and instructs.

  43. You are, you are not. You can be.

  44. If you want to be you, maybe you will be.

  45. You are the Salt of the earth or the world, but if the soul

  46. becomes insipid, that means Bland with.

  47. What shall it? Be seasoned.

  48. How can you seasoned salt? That's what Jesus trying to tell

  49. us. It is fit for nothing but to be

  50. thrown out and be trodden Under Foot by men.

  51. You are the light of the world, a City built upon a hill cannot

  52. be concealed. This is the third episode and

  53. we're concentrating on the salt of the world.

  54. This will be our last episode on the Sold God willing next

  55. episode we will look at the light of the world and then that

  56. will be the end of the series. We will then look at all those

  57. topics that you have recommended and by the power of God, the

  58. grace of God by the, the guidance of our Lord and the

  59. Holy Spirit, we will we will discuss the topics that you have

  60. recommended. Now, let's go back to being the

  61. salt, we spoke about how we are the salt and what that means,

  62. what that pertains. How do we become, or how do We

  63. remain what I'd like to speak about today, is how do we

  64. continue to be preserved? You know, salt needs to be

  65. preserved and so that it doesn't lose is its Savory or its Tang.

  66. So how do we continue to be preserved to be Savory and tangy

  67. to the lives of others? The Bland spiritual lives of our

  68. fellow brothers and sisters. We will refer back to one more

  69. time issue. Dad, Maori should that Bishop of

  70. Hadith are 850 ad and he writes by the Sun that is s un by the

  71. sun. Salt is further purified, and

  72. shines and Glitters. So, just as salt is purified, by

  73. the Sun, that is the sunlight, warms the salty water, which is

  74. then called evaporation it evaporates and it leaves behind

  75. a purified. Salt crystal, that is harvested,

  76. and it's, it's used and it's sold.

  77. So the Sun, the Asun purifies the, the salt, the actual

  78. physical salt. We to the salt of the earth need

  79. to be constantly under the impacting radiant, the impacting

  80. power of the Sun, sson, the Son of God, the only son of God,

  81. Jesus Christ, Praise be to his name.

  82. God incarnate. So we need to be under the

  83. impacting radiant of the Son of God, and I will repeat again,

  84. the only son of God that is Jesus Christ.

  85. Who is God incarnate in order to be purified and live in Purity.

  86. How can we how do we remain a purified salt to give taste to

  87. the Spiritual lives of others. Let's read Psalm 119 verses 7

    Psalms 119:7

  88. and 8, let's break it. Break it down to.

  89. I will give thanks unto you with the up righteousness.

  90. That is honesty of my my heart. How when I have learnt Your

  91. Righteous judgments that is rules and verdict.

  92. So when I have learnt, these are the Keynotes.

  93. I haven't And how do you learn you read, you study, you Ponder

  94. upon you research when I have learned Your Righteous judgments

  95. that is God's rules verdicts, then I will give thanks to you

  96. with the up righteousness. That means honesty of my heart.

  97. I have kept your precepts, which means your teachings, your

  98. principles, how do we learn the precepts and the teachings, and

  99. the principles of God by reading The holy scriptures and in the

  100. Psalms continues to say, oh, forsake me not forever.

  101. Wherewithal that is by these manners on.

  102. These means meaning giving thanks in righteousness and

  103. learning the righteous judgments and preserves of God wherewith.

  104. Shall a man cleanse their, it is cleanse purify his ways.

  105. So how do we remain purified? How do we remain?

  106. Ends is Again by giving, thanks to the Lord and learning his

  107. precepts and being honest in our hearts to the Lord.

  108. And this way, a man can keep the precepts and the teachings and

  109. the principles of God. So number one, as I mentioned,

  110. if we remain thankfully, or if we remain truthfully, honestly,

  111. earnestly thankful to God and His Son and the Holy Spirit

  112. giving. Thanks Every day, every minute,

  113. every breath. Let every breath.

  114. The psalmist. Instructs, give praise to the

  115. Lord regardless of our circumstances, and the

  116. Situation's. Yes, I know it's hard at times.

  117. It's hard for a mother seeing her child in pain in agony to

  118. give thanks to the Lord, but I don't want to go too much into

  119. that. But yes, if we really have a

  120. look at that situation, that's Circumstance.

  121. We will conclude that. Yes, we must give thanks to the

  122. Lord in the good times and the bad times in wealth and poverty

  123. in health and in sickness in joy and in sadness that we thank our

  124. heavenly father that simply, he is our God and that he has not

  125. deserted us. And number two, if we are

  126. learned of the righteous judge, see this is the type this way.

  127. Number two, Immense number one, number two, is the way that we

  128. can reach the point and be confident and earnestly.

  129. Thank God, regardless of our circumstances, how if we are

  130. learn it of the righteous judgment, the rules, the

  131. verdicts of God, that is knowing our responsibilities, Our

  132. obligation, our commitment to the will of God.

  133. How do we do this? Simply that our three most

  134. important ways, you know, You know, when you want to get from

  135. point A to point B, there are a few things that you need to do.

  136. Number one, set in your mind that you want to go from point.

  137. A to point B number to find the most, you know, quickest way and

  138. then get in the car and then start driving and be careful

  139. obviously, right? So if we want to, thankfully be

  140. truthful in our thankfulness to God.

  141. We need to know our responsibilities and obligations

  142. and there are three ways praying.

  143. Here we go. Yeah there they go.

  144. The three cliches that the Christians use.

  145. They're not cliches. These are fact you know there's

  146. so factual and so true that we continue to repeat them praying

  147. earnestly, reading the holy scriptures and fasting at the

  148. same time so that we know our responsibilities our Oceans our

  149. commitment to the will of God in order to be thankful to him so

  150. that we can then be purified so that we that salt can be

  151. purified under the impacting power of Jesus Christ.

  152. Now, you may ask what is the will of God for us Robbie?

  153. What is the will of God? Well, there are many many

  154. different instructions, but if we read the first Epistle of st.

  155. Paul to the Millions 4:3 Paul goes on to say, for this is the

  156. will of God. Now, I didn't just choose this

  157. verse at hog, I think it was divinely inspired.

  158. For this is the will of God, your holiness.

  159. Holiness doesn't mean a halo over our heads Holiness doesn't

  160. simply or only mean that we leave a life of what is it of,

  161. you know, a life totally, you know giving up the world and

  162. living in isolation or Solitude. Yeah, yes.

  163. Some people are called to that the the monks, the RAB bana we

  164. say. Yes, there are some people Live

  165. a life of solitude but Holiness means to be set apart.

  166. We are all holy. All those who went down in

  167. baptism in Christ's death. And then were born, Anew was

  168. Sanctified by the Holy Spirit, meaning set apart that we are no

  169. longer of the world, we are of Christ.

  170. So whenever you read or come across the word Holiness, don't

  171. think that it's only those who have been Portrayed in pictures

  172. or icons at as haloes around their heads, no.

  173. Holiness, as I said, is setting apart.

  174. So, this is the will of your God, set yourself apart, set,

  175. your lives apart, set your values, apart set your purpose

  176. in life apart, and that you may be separated from oxy.

  177. They're really separate. Let me read it again.

  178. For this is the will of God, your Holiness and that you may

  179. be The separate from all fornication.

  180. When I when I came across this verse to, to use for this.

  181. For this episode, I was a little bit intrigued.

  182. You have fornication, that means having a sexual relationship

  183. outside of marriage. And this is not going to be

  184. about fornication. Hey, adultery and fornication,

  185. that's going to be a few series there.

  186. I think the most Most tasteless and Bland area of a spiritual

  187. like in which many are failing is their sexual activity,

  188. whether married or single, but let's not talk about that.

  189. Okay? So setting yourself apart is

  190. it's just an example that poor lives giving us and the greatest

  191. contribution factors for this failing.

  192. In this failing of the sexual activity is, I think you'll

  193. agree is that education systems and the film industry Hollywood.

  194. You know, let me let me say it Point Blank Christians.

  195. Are you listening, do you classify yourself?

  196. Do you call yourself a Christian?

  197. Do you identify yourself as a Christian?

  198. Is it? Because if you're listening in

  199. the, in the car, is it because you have a cross hanging on your

  200. rear-view mirror, is it, because you're, you have a cross on your

  201. neck, or maybe you've tattooed the cross on your arms or your

  202. body. If you're cooking or washing

  203. dishes, or vacuuming, is it? Because you have a cross hanging

  204. on the wall at home? Is that how you identify

  205. yourself as a Christian? Yes, that's one way I mean but

  206. let me tell you Christians should absolutely refrain from

  207. R-rated and x-rated films. How can you become a Savory, a

  208. tasty salt in the spiritual lives of others?

  209. In this area. If you yourself are failing, how

  210. can we do that? Hey, now, if your Sweating or

  211. your you're blushing. Now if you want to turn off the

  212. podcast and you don't want to listen to this anymore, don't

  213. don't. This could be and not could be,

  214. this is God speaking to you. This is the holy spirit.

  215. Speaking to you, if this is what we are failing within our lives.

  216. There's a fasting Point Lantus coming up.

  217. Hey, maybe one of my prayer points and fasting points is my

  218. weakness in this. Ria st.

  219. Paul goes on to say in second Corinthians 7:1.

    2 Corinthians 7:1

  220. Therefore, because we have these promises that we are the Temple

  221. of the Holy Spirit. If you read second Corinthians

    2 Corinthians 6 chapter mention

  222. chapter 6, you know what Paul is talking about?

  223. Therefore, because we have these promises beloved, let us purify

  224. ourselves from all impurity of the Flesh and spirit and Let us

  225. cultivate Holiness in the all of God.

  226. This is how we become we become, you know, the power of Christ

  227. will be impacting upon us so that we correct ourselves.

  228. We fix ourselves, we purify our lives.

  229. So that we may be a beautiful tasty savoury Flavour to the

  230. lives of others when we live or simply strive.

  231. You know, it's very important that we when we say we need to

  232. live, we need to walk. That we also add or strive them

  233. and lie to live a purer life, because that's what Jesus says,

  234. Strife make every effort to enter the narrow gate.

  235. That means the narrow gate is not easy to enter.

  236. We need to strive, we need to, we need to struggle.

  237. We need to go through challenges, but do that.

  238. Now, when you're striving to enter the narrow gate, Christ

  239. can see that is People to the Lord.

  240. So when we leave or simply strive them and lie to live a

  241. purer life, under this transparency of Christ, we will

  242. truly glitter and shine. Even if we have not yet, reached

  243. it as st. Paul says, I don't know whether

  244. I've reach, I don't know what I've made it, you know, for

  245. those who call it to ask me, are you saved?

  246. Will you go to heaven? I say, you know what, I don't

  247. know that yet, but one think I know as st.

  248. Paul says I have left everything behind and I am focusing on the

  249. prize that is set for me focusing on Christ.

  250. When we do that beloved, then we can testify to the moral life of

  251. Chastity. And at the same time, we can

  252. then Council others on how we can live a purer life according

  253. to God's perfect and holy will many people.

  254. Speak to me and ask me for counseling.

  255. The first thing I try to do, see if I ever struggled and went

  256. through what the Is going through and nine out of 10

  257. times. Yes, even during my priesthoods

  258. and then I think and and recount.

  259. How did I overcome that weakness?

  260. How did I overcome that Temptation that trial?

  261. And then I give them my counsel because when I do that becomes

  262. more effective. Because when you say to someone

  263. listen, I was there when someone's coming to you and

  264. asking you for help in this spiritual life.

  265. It it means they have a bland spiritual life and they want you

  266. to be that savory that Tang because we're all salt.

  267. You know, that person salt is Bland we're all salt now.

  268. And when someone's asking you to to help and to assist and to you

  269. know, testify or to witness to something that will or to give

  270. advice about something they're going through and you've gone

  271. through that, and you've overcome that then You can be

  272. even more effective because you will be so more encouraging.

  273. So more convincing because you've gone through there and

  274. you've done that and you've overcome through the impacting

  275. power of Jesus Christ. In your life.

  276. You can encourage, you can guide 1 to a moral and God appeasing

  277. life You can give hope to one who is struggling with example,

  278. fornication, adultery theft drug abuse, you know, gossip hatred,

  279. which are all moral sins. You know, that in moral sins,

  280. they are they are scenes that they can bring spiritual death

  281. and if we don't correct, and if we remain and leave this world

  282. in those sins, then the scriptures are very clear.

  283. We will not see the face of the Lord will not be in the presence

  284. of God. You can give hope to one who is

  285. struggling with one occasion. You can you can steer someone to

  286. a Pious life and this applies to every aspect of life.

  287. So being sold, how do we remain that taste in the spiritual life

  288. of those who is Bland there, they lacking in their spiritual

  289. life. No, the precepts of the Lord.

  290. Understand the righteous Judgment of God live that way.

  291. Correct yourself. The first and foremost we need

  292. to do st. Paul says, in second think

  293. Corinthians 13:5 test yourselves, that is look into

  294. yourselves. Stop if you can stop right now,

  295. I'm not sure if you can stop. If you you're driving on the

  296. freeway don't do that. Maybe even pulled to one side

  297. and test yourself to see. Paul says to see if you are in

  298. the faith examine yourselves or do you not recognize this about

  299. yourselves that? Jesus Christ is in you unless

  300. indeed you fail the test Is Jesus Christ in you, are you

  301. reflecting the, the title? You have the name, you have

  302. Christians examine ourselves when we do, and we will, we find

  303. faults, we find flaws. We find discrepancies in our

  304. Christian Life. It's not the end of the world.

  305. It's simple Christ can use you Christ.

  306. Can use your failure. Where do you fail?

  307. Well, Well, once you correct it, once you overcome Christ will

  308. use your failure. Listen read Acts chapter 3 st.

    Acts 3 chapter mention

  309. Peter puts it simply when he slams the Jews and the Jewish

  310. leaders about them crucifying, the only son of God and that

  311. death could not hold Christ. He was resurrected, you know, he

  312. goes on to say no things chapter 17, that it was your ignorance.

  313. So God used your ignorance for the Salvation of the world.

  314. What can use your failures when you overcome to also help others

  315. to overcome to be Savory to be tasty in the lives of others?

  316. Mari should add continues to say however, when salt is hidden

  317. from the Splendor of the Sun. So let's put it in our

  318. perspective. When we are hidden from the

  319. Splendor of the Son of God, salt becomes black and its skin.

  320. Its color. We become black in color and

  321. it's taste is spoiled and it is useless for the condiment that

  322. tasting of food and that which is so through.

  323. We become blind. I went out thrown away.

  324. People tend to steer away, people try to tend to avoid us,

  325. they don't want to have any reflection, they don't want to

  326. have any any relationship, you know, because we're not making

  327. any sense, we're not becoming that that, that save your taste

  328. in their lives. And then some, you know, Jesus

  329. goes on to say, how are you going to be?

  330. How is this salt going to be? Flavored, you cannot flavor

  331. yourself. The only thing you can do is go

  332. back to Christ's return back to Christ as the prodigal son, or

  333. the prodigal daughter, and your prayer point is lawed.

  334. Make me Tangy and tangy make me to be Savory, maybe to have that

  335. beautiful flavor, which is in. You reflected through me in the

  336. lives that are bland And how do we become blind?

  337. When Christ is not, our way Christ is the way the truth and

  338. the life. When he is not our way, we're

  339. not going anywhere. You can continue in life but

  340. really, we're not getting anywhere.

  341. When Christ is not the truth in our lives, there is really no

  342. knowledge. We think we know it, but we know

  343. nothing. When Christ's life is not in our

  344. lives, we are dead. And when we are dead, how can we

  345. be impacting on others? So let's close this series by

  346. saying that we are the salts Souls of the world through our

  347. faith in Jesus Christ. We need to be Tangy.

  348. We need to be that flavor in the lives of those who are, you

  349. know, who are lacking. How do we do that?

  350. We need to be impacting by Christ.

  351. How do we allow Christ to be impact?

  352. Our Lives. We need to obey him.

  353. We need to follow him. We will follow Jesus.

  354. We will follow Jesus. Hey, you know what?

  355. Thank you, Anita. As I said, this is divine in

  356. spite. We will follow Jesus.

  357. Because his voice is calling us, the voice of our Lord Jesus, we

  358. will follow his ways and fulfill all his precepts.

  359. And when we do that, and it's reflected in our lives, then,

  360. and only, then we can be impacting the lives of others.

  361. Remember Jesus said, you are the salt and that is quite alarming.

  362. That means I have that gift, I have that calling, and if we do

  363. not fulfill, we do not use that gift for the glory of God, and

  364. the edification of others, and the salvation of others.

  365. We will be held accountable, just like the parable of the

  366. Daenerys. You can say, well, you know

  367. what? I live my own life and I

  368. couldn't be bothered or I wasn't worthy so I just thought, you

  369. know, let's give up, don't give up.

  370. Never never ever give up because Christ will never give up on you

  371. or anyone who has been called by his name.

  372. Oh, praise Glory and Honor be to His holy name now and at all

  373. times, I'm forever indebted. Ever.

  374. Amen. One last thing.
