  1. Do you know the Bible is God's Holy Word? Do

  2. you know it is inspired, in errant, and infallible? If so, like, share,

  3. subscribe and support this podcast. So we are Maranatha Ministries

  4. and now Reduction draweth nigh.

  5. All right, everybody, welcome to the program. I'm your host, Matthew. Tonight,

  6. we have a very special guest from a very long

  7. time ago, way back when we got our ministry off

  8. the ground, way back in twenty ten. Within a few

  9. years I think around twenty twelve some timeframe like that,

  10. we acquired a very good confidante, lists say, and he

  11. had his own ministry and that ministry was called eighteen

  12. seventy and due to circumstances, which I'm going to have

  13. him explain, he kind of dropped out of the limelight

  14. for circumstances. I'll let him explain. Like I said, but

  15. the other day I got the umption from the Holy

  16. Spirit to hey, you need to check on Derek. So

  17. I grabbed my phone, I looked, and come to find out,

  18. the last time I had called Derek was back in

  19. twenty twenty. So we're going to get an update from

  20. him what he's been doing, and more importantly, where he's

  21. at with his ministry, because one thing that I know

  22. of Derek, in one way, shape or form, he is ministering.

  23. That's what he does. I mean, I could describe what

  24. his employment is, I can describe how many children he is.

  25. I can describe to you. You know, he might be

  26. a coach of some certain sport. All that things rest aside.

  27. When you interact with Derek, you come to the realization

  28. that all those things are really just extras of Derek,

  29. and Derek is a Christian, That's really what he is.

  30. So Derek, why don't you explain to everybody just who

  31. you are and more importantly, where you came from, how

  32. we gotten to contact are two different ministries, and just

  33. paint us a picture from that time to today.

  34. So, yeah, we would have.

  35. Met, say round about twenty twelve, and I can't remember

  36. exactly when in that timeframe, but yeah, I had been

  37. a Christian for a few years at that time, a

  38. handful of years. And you know, as everybody else there knows,

  39. I grew up in Georgia. I grew up in the

  40. Bible Belt. I've always been around Christian influence, but there

  41. was no Bible.

  42. I mean, there was one of a house. I read

  43. a couple verses out of it I thought talked about aliens.

  44. At one point.

  45. I was pretty curious about that, so as a little kid,

  46. I read that verse something to Ezekiel, which had nothing

  47. to do with aliens. But anyways, I read it, you know,

  48. and that was what I knew of Scripture, very nothing

  49. at all. And then in my late twenties, I found

  50. Christ in a very isolated, introverted kind of way, adjacent

  51. to the very isolated introverted life.

  52. I grew up in.

  53. I grew up in a rural area with very little

  54. outside influence. Outside of my life. It's basically me and

  55. my dad sometimes.

  56. In the woods, with nobody within a mile of.

  57. Us, you know, as a little kid for much of

  58. my life and not my entire life. I also lived

  59. in the suburbs in the South side of Atlanta for

  60. a good part of my life too. So I found

  61. faith in my late twenties, and I just was full

  62. of questions, and because the thing that amazed me was

  63. that the people I found when I found faith and

  64. I began to talk about my faith, people nobody had

  65. like a foundational reference point for their faith.

  66. It was all hearsay they heard rumors of this, and

  67. this guy said this, and this guy said this, like I,

  68. it must be true.

  69. And I was much more of a I don't want

  70. to get down to the fact what my faith is

  71. all about, you know. So I was I had started

  72. reading the Bible. I said, if I won't believe in this,

  73. and it took me a little bit, obviously to sort

  74. through whether not I'm going to believe in this stuff.

  75. And I said, I believe in this, but uh, if

  76. I'm going to believe in God and in a creator,

  77. I must read his handbook he left me. So yeah,

  78. I read his handbook, and man, I was so full

  79. of questions. So on down the line, I've been reading

  80. and I'm just trying to find anybody who has answers

  81. to what is the script for talking about sometimes?

  82. You know.

  83. I mean I'd read it, and I'd read it, and

  84. I was starting to see connections on things, and I would.

  85. Hear what people talk about that pop up on the

  86. TV or people pop up on local radio shows. And

  87. some of this stuff was good. You know, it's good

  88. stuff for your heart.

  89. You know, how to love people, how to live, which

  90. is very important. But at the same time it's like, man,

  91. there was just no scripture in it.

  92. You know.

  93. I'm like, God left this, this owner of Manuel for

  94. a reason. You know, if I got a vacuum cleaner,

  95. it came with an owner's manual. I'm like, I'm a

  96. lot more complex in a vacum cleaner.

  97. I should have an.

  98. Owner's manual tell me how to life works. And came

  99. across Matthew. You were doing the show called The End

  100. Time Tribune at the time. When I came across y'all

  101. and now y'all are talking scripture, and y'all were pulling threads,

  102. and I'm like, these are these little dots I'm seeing

  103. And I've realized.

  104. When you connect this one, it connects back over here, and.

  105. This connects here, and this connects here, but it all

  106. still connects back to this. And I could see that

  107. studying the scripture, but I just had so many questions

  108. and this was the first place I had found that

  109. was making these connections. And uh, I just started listening

  110. and then all of a sudden, Man, I'm I'm like, I.

  111. Was pumped up and I was encouraged.

  112. I started as like, well, I'm gonna get on this

  113. blog talk thing and figure out how this works.

  114. You know. I started trying to figure out how to

  115. do it, and I started talking about the connections.

  116. I was seeing the things, and I did that for

  117. a while and it just you know, it went on

  118. for a little ways there, and I got to hang

  119. out with Matthew and God so many other people that

  120. came along there, not time. There was a good three

  121. four year run there. We probably had it. It feels

  122. like three or four years.

  123. I don't know how long it was really, but it

  124. was several years for sure, were with me involved.

  125. You've obviously still been doing the same thing. But uh yeah,

  126. that was uh, I mean, that was how we met.

  127. That was how we got it got going there, and

  128. uh really I think I was doing like what you

  129. were doing light and so when you were doing your

  130. Bible studies Light, I was, hey, you know, these these

  131. scriptures connect. You know, there's so many ways this stuff

  132. connects to I was amazed every time.

  133. Somebody's like, hey, I heard this new way to connect.

  134. Oh yeah, let me show you this boom.

  135. You know, it's like, oh yeah, okay, the Bible revolves

  136. around itself.

  137. Let me show this trick.

  138. You know, all the Hebrew and Greek work together. Yeah,

  139. watch what happens when you do these words together. It's

  140. like you knew all this stuff already.

  141. You know.

  142. And I was like, this is amazing, and uh, I

  143. kind of talked about some of the same stuff, but obviously,

  144. I say, light, I was nowhere near the same level

  145. you were on with this. And that's how we got

  146. together and we started to talking about things.

  147. Man, open my eyes to look at things I never

  148. conceived looking at.

  149. But at the end of the day, it was all

  150. rooted in scripture. It not rooted in you know, Hey,

  151. I've got this crazy idea. I had this wild dream.

  152. I ate some bad pizza last night, you know, and

  153. this I've got this new idea.

  154. We're going to doo. No, it was it was in here.

  155. All you had to do was this is English, get this,

  156. get a concordance, compare the Hebrew and Greek. Goes with it,

  157. and it was all there. You know. That was.

  158. As amazing to have the Bible as your source of knowledge.

  159. Not how did Christ say it? Was it rumors of

  160. not rumors of men, which I remember where Christ said

  161. it now I want to quot him when'm a misquote

  162. Christ that the traditions of men. That's what it was.

  163. That's what I'm quoting it with what traditions of men.

  164. I grew up knowing traditions of men. You know, I

  165. knew that the Bible and the Bible. I knew the

  166. Devil was read with a pitchfork and have pointed ears

  167. and was in a place that was really fiery.

  168. You know, That's what I knew from tradition.

  169. Watching TV, I started reading the Bible and I'm like, well,

  170. none of this stuff was in here, you know, I

  171. mean just so many little things.

  172. Uh yeah, we're all gonna fly away to save our souls.

  173. You know. I couldn't find that one in there. We're

  174. all gonna, Uh what was the other one? Jesus died

  175. on dog woo tree.

  176. It's one of my favorite ones. Jesus died on a

  177. dogwood tree. And that's why a dogwood tree is not straight.

  178. Every day I'm like, man, dogwood tree is not straight.

  179. You know, go read the Bible the first time. I'm like,

  180. where's the thing about the dogwood tree? You know, maybe

  181. that's what gopher wood was. Yet, look and I ain't

  182. what gopher wood is, Like, what does.

  183. This dogwood tree thing? Yeah? Just I knew traditions. Man,

  184. I didn't know the word.

  185. So yeah, that's uh, that's where I found you. And

  186. we just we dug into the.

  187. Word and uh, I don't know how much far you

  188. want me to go till I go to the Ford apartment.

  189. That's how we got to us getting together.

  190. Well, you know, you need to kind of fill in

  191. the blanks with you know, I appreciate why you always

  192. called your ministry eighteen seventy. Now now I know I

  193. know where it comes from, but they don't. So why

  194. don't you tell us how that exactly dawned on you

  195. and you started doing this ministry called eighteen seventy? What's

  196. the catch?

  197. So I don't remember how the idea came to me

  198. to look here, but we were going and I what

  199. did it? Because I had to have a logging name.

  200. It maybe because at the time you had to have

  201. used names. I don't remember, and I might I might

  202. be wrong with that part, but at the time I'm

  203. looking back twenty twelve or so, you got to have

  204. user names for everything, you know, and it was I

  205. was like, well, what it would be my username?

  206. What would be something that is me but also just

  207. my own thing? But yet it's still me and so

  208. I'm really I don't have it here. We'll say, say,

  209. Shaun record its.

  210. I opened it up one day and I'm studying these words,

  211. and I'm digging through its scripture, and this is probably,

  212. I think, honestly, before I had met you, I had

  213. already found this.

  214. I was digging through my scripture and I remember they're

  215. talking about the way Christians are the Way.

  216. In the beginning, they were the Way. I'm like, okay,

  217. that's interesting, they're the Way. Okay, before they were called Christians,

  218. they were called the Way. And I got back in

  219. Hebrew and I'm reading about the Way, and I'm studying

  220. in the Hebrew and I'm looking at a cord it.

  221. So I'm like, that's my name, you know in Hebrew.

  222. The name Derek in Hebrew is eight eighteen seventy. And

  223. I'm like that day I was like, well, there's my handle.

  224. You know, I'm a grow up watching smoking to bandit.

  225. You had a handle on the CEBE radio, and I'm like, well,

  226. there's my handle right there. Eighteen seventy's that's my name

  227. for your simple handle. To have your own name just

  228. encoded in the way that people might not realize it's

  229. your name, so the eighteen seventy things stuck. It is

  230. my name in Hebrew, at least that would be transliterated

  231. in Hebrew. Transliterate my name in Hebrew. It means the way,

  232. and it is Derek. It is eight eighteen seventy. See,

  233. and that's the origin of how eighteen seventy came.

  234. So you keep referencing back the strongs concordance, So tell me,

  235. did you already have a strong concordance before you met me?

  236. I did. I actually had been studying with the Shampson

  237. cord its.

  238. I mean, because I knew the Bible was written in

  239. other languages, and I didn't really know which ones, but

  240. I always knew I was obviously reading a translation I mean,

  241. because this one is my reading Bible, New King James.

  242. Uh.

  243. The Bible on my iPad that I read from is

  244. English Standard version. The audio Bible which is on this

  245. phone right here that I used to listen to audio

  246. is New American Standard, and my King James is I mean,

  247. my strong is King James version. So I obviously had

  248. knew there were different translations, and so early on I

  249. was like I wish I knew what the source said.

  250. But I tried learning Spanish and I didn't go too well.

  251. So I knew me learning a dead language was not

  252. going to.

  253. Go very well either.

  254. And somehow nother came across a strong I believe it

  255. was a gull on TV had mentioned as Sharanth's cord

  256. as trom Amorcractly. I was just scrolling through channels one

  257. day guys talked about Sharleton cordence. So, uh, yeah, I

  258. looked one up and I saw what was in it,

  259. and I was like, this is amazing. I bought me

  260. one and I was reading. And this is probably two

  261. years maybe three years before I had met you, because

  262. I know I had one in twenty ten. So yeah,

  263. at least about twenty ten, I had a seanc cordance

  264. and I was digging in it and I was studying it,

  265. and you know, it was uh and man, it was

  266. eye opening, you know, just to learn that how much

  267. depth of meaning there was in this language. That I

  268. can somewhat read Hebrew and Greek extremely slowly and very poorly.

  269. I mean like maybe a first grade level. I can

  270. read Hebrew and Greek. I can look at it and

  271. kind of understand what I was seeing I still have

  272. to have a dictionary to define this.

  273. Stuff, you know.

  274. In fairness, I'm kind of that way with English too,

  275. so now that i'm the extremely very in depth of

  276. the English language.

  277. But yeah, and I started reading this Charleston Cord it

  278. so and then that's, uh, that's where I got to handle,

  279. you know.

  280. And I think I had it because of the early

  281. on like saying, I was happing to set up usernames

  282. for stuff, and I just it was something I needed.

  283. And it has man, it has stuck.

  284. It is.

  285. Uh.

  286. I still to this day use it for a lot

  287. of things, you know. I see what I'm doing nowadays

  288. is still called eighteen seventy. So it is the root

  289. of everything. This about everything I'm doing going forward, with

  290. anything I do in my life, if I have to

  291. give it a name or a title to it, it's

  292. got eighteen seventy in it some kind of way.

  293. Well, you know, do this for us, Derek. You were

  294. obviously at the top of your game there when you

  295. were doing your ministry on first the broadcast on BTR

  296. you said, and then you got to the YouTube channel.

  297. So you replied to me in a text that now

  298. use in a different life phase. So is that what happened?

  299. Is that what got you out of the ministry, because

  300. you obviously stopped at some point in time, So what

  301. is it that made you stop?

  302. So there are a few a few layers to this,

  303. you know.

  304. Obviously, you know with the old BTR days, you can

  305. see who's reading and who's looking and stuff. You know,

  306. how many people are seeing your stuff, and you could

  307. just tell what your your circle. I could tell the

  308. people I was interacting with more or less, there were

  309. also the same people you were interacting with. Like I

  310. wasn't reaching new ground, you know. I was like, as

  311. I'm if I'm doing.

  312. Anything, you're trying to break out new territory, you know,

  313. if you're trying to spread the gospel and spread it

  314. to new areas well, if I'm just I realized after

  315. a while I was only coming behind you and.

  316. Hitting the same area as you were hitting. And I'm like,

  317. I'm not really stretching my net out to new waters.

  318. So I'm not.

  319. I just felt like at some point I'm not being

  320. useful this way, not with what I was doing. Obviously

  321. this doesn't mean I quit study ships here, of course,

  322. but uh, I'm sitting there and I'm still doing my

  323. same studying, and I was like, what can I do

  324. to reach more people? So and as I'm realizing this,

  325. I'm thinking this, a few phases of my life changed.

  326. Number One, my kids were getting older. They were getting

  327. They were little when we started doing I mean twenty twelve,

  328. they were seven and three, so they were young obviously

  329. in twenty twelve, and they were getting older and never

  330. get more involved the stuff. But at the same time,

  331. I was in my church that I had been with here,

  332. local that I've been going to for years now, and

  333. I had they had obviously everybody knew from Bible studying

  334. with me. I had read this thing, you know, it

  335. was pretty obvious when questions got asked.

  336. I had to read it.

  337. And every now and then they'd be a studying something

  338. and they would, you know, the pastor. I'll never forget this.

  339. One time the pastor comes over there and I had

  340. said something and he comes and looks at my Bible

  341. see if I was cheating. He looks somebody's looking at

  342. I was.

  343. Like, God, you did that for a memory, you know,

  344. because I don't remember what We were reading something and

  345. Daniel and I don't remember what it was, I said, now.

  346. But uh, I when that happened, people started asking me

  347. to teach at the church for and it was like

  348. our pastors because I go to a methdist church, and

  349. so uh the way methis do they change out pastors

  350. ever so often. And so he was the founding pastor

  351. of the church. He was leaving, we were getting a

  352. new one, and they had asked me to teach the

  353. Wednesday nights Bible school time to fill in the gaps.

  354. And I ended up teaching that class for several years.

  355. But when I started teaching that class and I got

  356. to interact with people, it was a lot only to

  357. try to do that and also try to do the

  358. radio stuff. Because I am not very technologically literate. I

  359. didn't know how this stuff worked. I didn't have a

  360. good setup. I mean back then I had a how

  361. was I even I think I was connecting on my

  362. cell phone. Audio is horrible.

  363. I had it just a cell phone trying to connect

  364. into it.

  365. I might have had a tablet that I was trying

  366. to hotspot off my cell phone. And I had issues

  367. with a crashing on me in the middle of doing stuff,

  368. and it just it was a frustrating technologically way to

  369. do this because I didn't.

  370. I didn't I didn't own computer or nothing.

  371. So I just realized, I said, I can now see

  372. when I'm interacting with people physically, it's I'm bearing fruit.

  373. On the BTR side, I didn't feel like I was

  374. bearing fruit. There say, there was people I was talking

  375. to and interacting with, but again, I just felt like

  376. I'm riding behind the trail you had already made, and

  377. I feel like sometimes I'm just making a mess out

  378. of this trailer. I'm not helping, you know anything. Probably

  379. when I get done, Matthew is like, hey, that was

  380. very good. We're gonna tend this on refrigerator.

  381. He I.

  382. We'll go out behind you clean this mess up you

  383. just made while you're not looking, you know, and probably.

  384. Correct the four million things I said that were you know,

  385. scripturally wrong, you know. So I'm like, well, maybe I

  386. need to figure out another way to be useful. So

  387. I went off into the side of working directly with

  388. my church and working interacting with people directly, which was

  389. eye opening because on the PTR side you can't see people.

  390. I'm speaking to a camera and I know.

  391. In my head this makes sense, but I may not

  392. be articulating it very well. And so getting to work

  393. with people really helped me learn that, Man, I have

  394. to explain this stuff. And I can tell when I

  395. talk to people in their eyes gloss over first class

  396. I ever taught. I lost the entire class. I think

  397. by like the fourth verse, we were in Revelation God,

  398. we were in fifteen or sixteen.

  399. We're in fifteen. I finished.

  400. We were studying book relation in church, and I picked

  401. up in Revelation fifteen and I had a chart of

  402. the tabernacle, and I said, watch all this stuff up

  403. here in a tabernacle, and watch all these things appear

  404. in this ver in this chapter here, and I started

  405. going over and I ain't lined. By the fourth verse,

  406. I had lost the entire room. I had dumped so

  407. much information on them, and I was like, okay, And

  408. that was eye opening to me that I've got to

  409. figure out how to explain this stuff better, how to

  410. articulate these things. And that was that direction went there,

  411. And as my kids got older and older, I got

  412. to experience more different groups of people to h to

  413. explain this stuff too. And then then of course my

  414. work schedule changed, and then I woun't teach on urch

  415. no more.

  416. So that completely all changed, and eventually I moved twenty nineteen.

  417. I moved to where I live at now, and out

  418. here was there was no internet, there was no cell service,

  419. so there was going to be no more BTR, no

  420. more YouTube, no nothing here. And it lived this what lived,

  421. I mean almost all. I don't think I had air power,

  422. you know, no running no running water.

  423. I have a well accepted tank, all that stuff.

  424. No no cell phone, no phone line, no internet, and

  425. absolute heaven.

  426. Yeah, best place in the world to be. When COVID happened,

  427. Oh my god. But yeah this uh so Obviously at

  428. that point the BTR days for me were completely done.

  429. There was no way to even connect and the ability

  430. to get on the internet only came back for me

  431. a year ago. So uh so, yeah, basically.

  432. But in that time, the cool thing that I have

  433. learned is I've gotten better at dealing with people. I've

  434. gotten better at reading people and telling man, am I losing.

  435. This person when I'm talking to them?

  436. And I've got a lot more crafty and how I

  437. deliver my messages that I have I'm talking about something

  438. so that I don't lose the person I'm talking to

  439. because at first, man, I was I was a fire hoseer.

  440. Oh I my unaquote Matthew here. Now, I was giving am.

  441. Both barrel straight to the chest, you know, and it

  442. was too much for him. They couldn't handle it. So

  443. you know, I had to learned that one, and I

  444. learned that. So, yeah, that ministry, it was a different phase.

  445. That ministry closed. But I'm always you know, I'm a believer.

  446. I'm always walking in the faith. And even when I'm

  447. messing up and I'm getting off the path, sometimes God

  448. I'll tug you and pull you back, you know. But

  449. I'm always walking in the path and I'm always whatever I'm.

  450. Doing, you know, I'm trying my best to be with

  451. God along the way, and I'm always going to be

  452. trying to all on that path.

  453. Man, be a light shining in the darkness, no matter

  454. what path I'm on, no matter where I'm at. And

  455. you know, life changes, you know.

  456. With moving here, Man, I thought I had, Oh Lord,

  457. I thought I had God's playing for me figured out.

  458. It is the most hilarious thing in the world because

  459. I think God let it play out exactly like I

  460. thought it was going to go.

  461. Until everything came together and I of it worked out.

  462. My life completely changed directions on me.

  463. So you know, it's interesting how when you think you

  464. haven't figured out, God shows.

  465. You how little you know.

  466. So, yeah, everything around here changed, And I mean, who

  467. would have thought that a couple of years ago. I'm

  468. coaching a softball team that's my daughter started playing softball,

  469. and the amount of time and dedication that takes, you know,

  470. But at the same time, you imagine how it is

  471. to be in that intent.

  472. Of an environment and.

  473. You know, you're not running around saying for a lot

  474. of words everybody you're You're not You're not going home

  475. and drinking every day.

  476. You know, you're not doing.

  477. All the things that people in this environment do. I'm

  478. not doing all those things, and I'm being true to

  479. my faith. And yet I'm still I'm still I'm still

  480. being intense, I'm still coaching a team.

  481. All the things we do, I'm still teaching to be competitive.

  482. Yet I'm doing it completely through a Christian lens, which

  483. is not something you see a lot of You can

  484. tell it's a lot of these guys that do this

  485. kind of work are not They may have their faith,

  486. but they're not as heavily devoted to it, and I hope,

  487. I hope somewhere along the way. My greatest wish I

  488. have with this coaching these girls is that I you know,

  489. seeds are planted in years down the road. This leads

  490. them to a faith in Christ, you know, ending every

  491. game and a prayer you know, on the picture's mouth

  492. at the end of the game is another thing we do.

  493. And they all quote the Lord's Prayer. So you know,

  494. we get pictures catches in there and one of them

  495. is quotes the Lord's Prayer.

  496. Sometimes I'll lead it and I'm like, look, I'm y'all,

  497. We're not gonna quote Word's paier this time. I'm gonna

  498. talk to Jesus from the heart for a minute and

  499. I'll just I'll come up with something. I'll say it

  500. with everybody there. But little things like that, man, spread

  501. your faith every chance you get.

  502. Well, absolutely spread your spread your faith every chance you get.

  503. And you know, I just have to say this, I

  504. seriously hope that your coach is Jersey has eighteen seventy on.

  505. I wish it did.

  506. No, it's it's wrecked, so it has every The rec

  507. Department gives me just as coach, so that would be

  508. awesome if it did. We actually were going we were

  509. going to be the Killer Bees this summer if we

  510. had been able to make that team. We just ended springball.

  511. God we two still maybe now, I think two weeks

  512. ago and we didn't make All Stars, and so we

  513. were going to try to build a B team to

  514. go along with the All Stars. And I'll thinking of

  515. a name. I didn't think bout eighteen seventy, but I

  516. was there thinking of a name, and uh, the name

  517. I came up with was like, we're gonna be the

  518. kept saying we're the B team. You All Stars a team,

  519. We're the B team, and uh, just talking to nobody

  520. of mine of work, he's a big Georgia Tech fan.

  521. And there, of course their logos yellow jackets. I'm not

  522. a Georgia Tech fan, but uh, there the logos yellow jackets.

  523. I'm like, oh, man, killer Bees. You know we were

  524. the B team. That's an awesome name for your softball team.

  525. But didn't work out. We were Uh we didn't get

  526. a pitcher and a catcher. So my daughter can do

  527. either one of the positions, but she's definitely not a

  528. starter at pitching and we didn't have one, so yeah,

  529. uh we had to uh squash that idea. That didn't happen.

  530. We're still gonna be practicing, but no B team. And

  531. now you say the eighteen seventy, that's a good idea.

  532. I got fagir a way to corporate that one at

  533. some point.

  534. Cool thing is, I don't have a number. I mean

  535. you gotta have a number on Jersey.

  536. Oh, I don't know the coaches with the wreck. See

  537. it's a wreck thing. So my daughter has a number.

  538. I don't have a number.

  539. D I'd have to I'd have to. I see.

  540. Now you've got to think of that. There's the way

  541. I gotta do this now. I use my YouTube channel

  542. to coach my team, which obviously the players watch the

  543. YouTube channel.

  544. I can tell because thing with YouTube, I can look

  545. at the algorithm. I can tell where people jump into

  546. the video and watch.

  547. So I can tell you which people from the other

  548. teams watch my videos because they want to see their

  549. at bats too, you know which. All these girls out

  550. here will know I have a channel, you know, so

  551. we'll play the other teams and they all know my channel,

  552. so they'll go pull up the game and watch themselves.

  553. That I tell who's doing it because I can see

  554. they click to their bets. But yeah, so I coach

  555. my team through the eighteen seventy all road channel that

  556. I have. But yeah, now there's a team. See, now

  557. you've got to go on. I will, I'll, I will

  558. figure out a way.

  559. I'll said. Now, obviously, with Wreck, I have to do

  560. what the WRECT Department is.

  561. So we're gonna be the Pirates, and I'll say that

  562. they just changed out this year. We're still the Pirates.

  563. But We've been the Pirates whole time I've been there,

  564. because that's our local county, is the Pirates. But uh see,

  565. I have to do whatever they have. But if we

  566. ever get outside of Wreck and go into travel teams

  567. or something like that, and then yeah, there'll be an

  568. eighteen seventy in or some kind of way.

  569. So you know, it's pretty obvious that we need to

  570. need to talk about this. So so within the past year,

  571. you get internet and you open up this other channel.

  572. So just tell me all the channels that you have.

  573. Well, put simply, the channel I opened had already existed.

  574. I just never used it.

  575. Way back in twenty sixteen or so at my old house,

  576. they ran in andet out there the last two years

  577. I lived there, So maybe it was twenty seventeen, but

  578. oh well, I'll give you a little bit backstory on

  579. behind this channel too. But I opened up the channel

  580. back then called eighteen seventy Garage, and of course eighteen

  581. seventy thing was there, but at the time it was

  582. more of afillment of me and my best friends growing up.

  583. We grew up.

  584. We were pearheads before I found christ too, but we

  585. were gearheads growing up.

  586. You know. I had a old Camaro. He had old

  587. bar Bird. You know, we built cars. God.

  588. I had old Transam. I had a old C ten truck.

  589. I had a Cutlass. I had all these really cool

  590. classic muscle cars. I also had my low rider truck.

  591. I had made Toyota.

  592. I want a bunch of car shows that had trophies.

  593. Put you down there, do the stairs right down there.

  594. But I chopped that thing up, had it laying on

  595. the ground. There's actually a very short clip of it

  596. on YouTube, because I have like four or five pictures

  597. of that truck.

  598. It's all I have because I had that thing it

  599. over twenty years. But we were always building cars, you know,

  600. we're always into it. God, a lot of guys you

  601. might not even know this. I don't talk about much.

  602. Before my current job, I worked for Nopie, and Nopie

  603. was big in the nineties and two thousands. We actually

  604. a very small part in building cars for the Fast

  605. and Furious movies, the second one, not the first one,

  606. the second movie, and they were all background cars. There's

  607. a scene in Teja's garage where there's two cars for

  608. sure on a lift that we built a Nopie.

  609. And then there was two cars I think they were

  610. there in the parking lot and not even certain. They

  611. changed the car so much for the movie. And so

  612. this is all the way. Back then, I was always

  613. in the cars. I worked on cars when I at

  614. that age, and me and my best friend were always

  615. talking about, Man, we're gonna do this like.

  616. Then do on TV shows and Saturday. We're gonna build cars.

  617. We're gonna go to cars shows. We're gonna show them off.

  618. You know.

  619. Of course I talked about earlier if life changes, I

  620. got married, I had kids, you know, life goes along.

  621. We basically got divorced many years later, but uh, you know,

  622. me and my buddy always kind of stayed in touch.

  623. But now, of course I'm single father trying to raise kids,

  624. and it's like, man, look I can't be off building cars.

  625. I gotta raise kids. And this is hard by myself,

  626. you know. I mean they still their mother over me, row.

  627. She's still evolved, but it's when they're with me, I

  628. am by myself trying to do this stuff, you know,

  629. trying to be a mother and a father at the

  630. same time. And so I just wasn't in the ability

  631. at that time to mess with cars, you know. That

  632. was that's a luxury, and I had to focus on

  633. things that mattered.

  634. And but we had me and him.

  635. I always talked about, hey, we're can get back into this,

  636. and so that's where I started the eighteen seventy garage

  637. YouTube channel.

  638. Was I was like, this is very early on.

  639. I was building a shop in my house to start

  640. building cars, and I had already gotten some foolers that

  641. have worked on that weren't running. I had did a

  642. little work on them till I got get them all

  643. cleaned up, and I was like, we're gonna start feeling

  644. this stuff. Of Course I didn't have I had broke

  645. my phone right after I started the channel, so I

  646. couldn't feel anything, so I ended up going back. I

  647. had an iPhone and I broke it, so I didn't

  648. have an iPhone three years to do this stuff.

  649. But even though I had, the channel started. So then,

  650. of course, the tragic side of this, my best friend

  651. killed himself.

  652. So that kind of derailed a whole lot of stuff

  653. in my life when I happened.

  654. That was a hard couple of years. So things go on.

  655. I move out here to where I'm at now, and

  656. I'm like, it changed, because obviously I don't hear it.

  657. One do I have a grudge. But the reason why

  658. I moved.

  659. One of the reason why I moved was I don't

  660. want this littberitty house, which I acsolutely loved. God, I

  661. wish you could buy houses that small. I hate big houses.

  662. But I'm in this little.

  663. Bitty house and that was perfect because I'm like, it's

  664. just you're right in my space. Had a little grudge,

  665. but it had a little bitpiece of slam go with it.

  666. And even though I lived in a town in the

  667. size of Maybury, I lived in the town and I

  668. had less than a quarter of an acre, and I'm

  669. trying to have two fourielers and old cars to build up,

  670. and I'm like, yeah, this is not gonna work. I

  671. can't live like this and have my neighbors who all

  672. have their houses looking around.

  673. I can't park cars in front of my house. I

  674. don't want to be I don't.

  675. Want to be that neighbor, you know. So I was like, yeah,

  676. I got to figure out on the layside. I moved

  677. out here to get some land, but uh, I brought

  678. eighteen seventy garage out here with me and like, I'm

  679. going to do this thing and I'm gonna make this

  680. work some kind of way. But uh, it morphed into

  681. eighteen seventy off road because I bought a jeep.

  682. Because at the time I.

  683. Was trying to get I was trying to get completely

  684. off not off the grid completely, but off the grid

  685. living man. I had goats out here. I had a

  686. massive farm going out here. I had my tractor, but

  687. still got the tractor. I had trails cut all the

  688. way around the proper line.

  689. I had goats out here I was raising and I

  690. was trying to sell them off. And uh, you know

  691. that goes back to me. I thought I had my

  692. life figured out in time. I'm like yeah, I'm doing this.

  693. I'm gonna be self sustained.

  694. I found this property because it has fresh water going

  695. to it that has never been touched by road or

  696. a city, and I'm like, that is hard to find,

  697. especially in the South, you know. So it starts from

  698. a spring about five miles off the road, and it

  699. starts this big old creek down here eventually feeds in

  700. their Flint River. And I found this property here. It

  701. came up for sale and all these people are selling

  702. this house.

  703. And I'm like, yeah, I remember talking to.

  704. Our agent was mol I'm like, these people don't know

  705. how I think. I do not think like the average

  706. person buying a house. I'm looking at this property. I

  707. didn't care about the house. I wanted the property because

  708. I'm like, man, I can live the way I want

  709. to live out here. But uh, that's where things did

  710. not go like I thought they were going to, and

  711. all that kind of fell apart. But I ended up

  712. getting a jeep and kind of I just realized that

  713. since I can't do what I want to do here

  714. and I'm never my Lord, I'm never going to afford.

  715. Land to live the way I want to live. It

  716. takes so many acres of land to be self sustaining,

  717. to have your water, to have your cattle. I'd never

  718. even got point of.

  719. Getting cows because the goats was where it stopped. But

  720. trying to get all this stuff, you know, is like

  721. it takes so much land. I'll never be able to ford.

  722. And we want to buy the land to to pay

  723. taxes on the land, because you know, you shall not

  724. live on the King's land without paning King's tax, just

  725. like I shall not drive down the King's road up

  726. pan and king sax. So I'll never afford pay taxes

  727. on land. And so I was just I realized that

  728. point mathematically, I'm not going to get to that dream

  729. that I thought I was going to get to living here,

  730. and all the land around me got sold. They were

  731. kind of waiting on me, and then when COVID happened,

  732. they changed their mind, so I didn't want to wait

  733. on me no more. We didn't have a contract, so

  734. they were completely in the right to do that and

  735. not I don't want to. They sure to want to

  736. bat now when they were here, but uh, you know,

  737. we just we had talked, We had an understanding of

  738. I had plans of buying the slam within a few years.

  739. They had plans of selling it, but they weren't in

  740. a hurry, and they had always said, hey, the right

  741. offer came along, they would sell it. And I was like, hey,

  742. that's good, I'll take that risk, you know. But at

  743. the same time, I want to try to bottle land

  744. as much as I possibly could. And uh, when COVID happened,

  745. they panicked and they sold this land way less. So yeah,

  746. I was hoping to have about minimum twenty seven acres

  747. if i'd.

  748. Gotten over there, to be thirty five, i'd gotten out over.

  749. There too, and that just that all fell apart and

  750. it's all got houses on the now. So I'm like, well,

  751. that's all gone. I lost out ass of the creek.

  752. It's still nice out here, and we're wrong. I still

  753. love it. I still think it was in the you know.

  754. I still feel like I followed the path to get here.

  755. I just didn't understand what doubt I was going to be,

  756. you know.

  757. So I felt like when I came out here, this

  758. is the first place out of town. I was like,

  759. I felt called, I'm like, I think I need to

  760. be here. And I had thought it was to do

  761. all the stuff I was thinking I was gonna do

  762. and that ain't what it was. But I got out here.

  763. Next thing, I know, after being here a little while,

  764. we talked about the running internet out here. I had

  765. started riding the jeep and I had got out there,

  766. and I was like, I just remember going back to

  767. all these Bible studies we did, and I'm like, you know,

  768. picturing scripture. You know, I picture David being in the wilderness,

  769. and I pictured David in the woods in Georgia. I

  770. didn't know what the wilderness is drill was desert until

  771. I saw a picture of Israel. I was like, huh,

  772. that's not what the wilderness looks like where I'm from.

  773. Because I remember it, I was thinking, David can't hack.

  774. In the wilderness for a couple of days running from

  775. Sault somef of that.

  776. You know, I didn't know what the wilderness was there.

  777. It's not like the wilderness we have around here. And

  778. so when I got the jeep, I'm like, man, I

  779. wanted to go start exploring God's creation. And that's the

  780. first thing I thought, like, I had never, you know,

  781. I had never I thought about this this morning until

  782. Labor Day two years ago.

  783. It's one of my YouTube videos.

  784. I had never seen mountains before outside of these fifteen

  785. hundred foot mountains here.

  786. In Georgia and middle of Georgia I live at. I

  787. had been to the North Georgia Mountains twice and it

  788. had rained both time I was up there.

  789. I never saw the mountains. We were just passing through

  790. an intersect going to Tennessee. I'd want a five seventy five.

  791. So I never saw the mountains in Tennessee or Georgia.

  792. And I remember that. I'm like that, I've never seen

  793. God's creation. I have no visual reference of how God

  794. made this earth. I just look at Google Earth all

  795. the time. Man, I studied Google Earth, and I see

  796. God's creation, you know. I see Noah's flood. I see

  797. you know, the Earth being split and cracked open. I mean,

  798. the stars are still there, you know, everybody. I've seen

  799. pictures of the Grand Cana. Haven't been a Grand Canyon yet,

  800. but I've seen pictures of Grand Canyon, all these layers

  801. of dirt. And the people who are God haters, you know,

  802. they're like, oh, this is a layer from however, many

  803. hundreds of millions of years ago, or this is a

  804. layer from a hundred millions years.

  805. Later, and I'm looking around. I'm like, that's good in

  806. that one little area. But you know, if you see

  807. them my.

  808. Book of the whole thing, it looks as though this

  809. whole area is underwater. And at some point the flood

  810. receded and the water pulled up. At a lot of places,

  811. you know, water pulls up, it sole evaporates, it creates salt,

  812. and now you got salt flats ever out there. And

  813. when water pulls them up, and eventually the dam releases

  814. and the rushes out, it rips massive sections of the

  815. earth out and creates canyons and they're created overnight.

  816. I'm like, I can see this stuff, and I'm like,

  817. these people don't read scripture when they develop their world views.

  818. You know.

  819. It's definitely not scripture based. And part of me with

  820. this jeep was, man, I want to go see this place,

  821. and I want to film it, and I want to

  822. show it. There's a trail called Top of the World

  823. in Moe ab Utah.

  824. I've seen it on video and I've never laid my

  825. eyes on it, and I hope to one day be

  826. able to get out and climb to the top of

  827. this trail. I don't know if I jeep can do it,

  828. but we'll find out. But I want to be to

  829. climb to the.

  830. Top of this thing and fly my drone up there

  831. and film it and just share God's creation because I'm

  832. to me, I look at this stuff and I'm like, man,

  833. you can see creation, you know. So along the way,

  834. using an off road thing, I'm filming a cool forty

  835. minute video.

  836. But along the way as.

  837. I'm doing it, I'm like, you can tell, Like, you know,

  838. I am seeing this stuff for the first time myself,

  839. and I'm like, guys, this is creation. This is amazing,

  840. you know. I'm like, every time I go see some overlook,

  841. it brings me back to Scripture some kind of way.

  842. The last time I remember was that I took a

  843. trip in April and I filmed it. We're in this

  844. place called the Huddle World and I spent three days

  845. up there and uh, just me and my dog, you know,

  846. living off road for several days, off the grid.

  847. It was great.

  848. And the last day I'm there, maybe the second day,

  849. I pulled this overlook and I've seen this overlook before.

  850. This is the second time I've seen it.

  851. And you can just see from your right on the

  852. Georgia Tennessee line. You can see like half of North

  853. Georgia from this overlook.

  854. It see, it seems like and I'm like, I remember

  855. looking at I'm thinking, if you I didn't think I

  856. said this to my camera, you would feel like grasshoppers

  857. in the sight of giant. You know, when you're sitting there,

  858. I'm like, I'm like grasshoppers this, I'm so you I'm

  859. so small. I'm such a small little piece of this world.

  860. You know, you don't realize it because when you're here

  861. in your long little county where everybody knows you, like,

  862. I'm a big shot, you know, I'm a big fishing

  863. little pond. But I get up there, I'm like, man,

  864. I'm a grasshopper on the side of giants.

  865. You know.

  866. I remember I said that to the camera, you know.

  867. So it's always the little script verses out. Even started

  868. talking about the days the mountains reform, and the would

  869. quote it, and I said, I'm trying to in my head,

  870. I'm doing a math on camera.

  871. The mountains formed on a third day, they formed the

  872. fourth day. I'm going backwards in my head, We'll see

  873. make man on the sixth day. You know, I think

  874. it's the third day.

  875. But then I look at the camera. I said, you know,

  876. I'm gonna try to figure this out right now. I

  877. encourage you go look it up and read it for yourself.

  878. Go to the very first page of the book. It

  879. will give you all the answers you're looking for. So,

  880. you know, little things like that, I drop them off.

  881. Road videos because, like I say, everything I'm doing is

  882. from a fate standpoint.

  883. It is from I'm a believer in Lord Jesus Christ, and.

  884. I'm a believer in as resurrection, and I'm a believer

  885. that because he died for the sends of all of

  886. all mankind, and he defeated death, and he rose again,

  887. and he promised that Hey, not only did I raise again,

  888. You're gonna rise again. And you know the whole deal

  889. where you can't go to heaven with sin on you. Yeah,

  890. I'm gonna forget your set and you're gonna get guilt

  891. here with me. I'm like, man, sign me up, brother,

  892. I'm in. You know, that's the right I want to

  893. be on. So that's my viewpoint of everything I do.

  894. And I noticed when I'm watching everybody, I see other

  895. people with YouTube channels they do. You're not getting that

  896. for anybody else. Now, they may be believers and not

  897. want to discredit them. They're just they may be choosing

  898. to be believers a.

  899. Little more privately, you know.

  900. But when I'm doing mine, I'm like, yeah, I'm I'm

  901. a believer, and I don't mind saying it, you know,

  902. now I'm not. I don't make my entire forty minute

  903. video about me being a believer because that's not the

  904. audience I'm reaching. The audience I'm looking for is just

  905. the average person who loves the stuff and somewhere along

  906. the way, Hey, by the way, you know God made

  907. all this, right, But anyways, back to look at these

  908. amazing mountains that God made. You know, that's kind of

  909. how I do what I do on there, and it

  910. is to fill a void. When I became a Christian,

  911. I couldn't find what I'm what I'm trying to be now.

  912. When I became one, I didn't find just the average

  913. person who lived out their life and you know, you.

  914. Didn't like I would go back.

  915. I think I've said this before, but the Amish was Christians,

  916. and then there was everybody else you know that was

  917. I didn't have that person in the middle.

  918. And I was like, how was it. I couldn't just find.

  919. A person who is just a normal, everyday person that

  920. is my neighbor next to me, but yet they're a Christian.

  921. They believe in God. Yeah they live in this world.

  922. Yeah they're not permanently in this world. They're so Joenners,

  923. just like everybody else. We're all, you know, this is

  924. our exodus, everybody, we're all on our exous journey together

  925. the Promised Land. But they're still here and they still

  926. go to work every day. You know, they still live,

  927. They're still my neighbor. I didn't find that person when

  928. I became a Christian. My entire network around me was

  929. people who were not at least not people who's to

  930. show a lot of people believe in God, but they

  931. didn't know, they didn't know God. And I just said,

  932. I'm like, you know, I want to be that person

  933. who can somewhere along the way there will be that

  934. maybe the only one person. You know, I keep having

  935. them a head. Maybe I'll reach one hundred people. Maybe

  936. there's only one person that I got to reach at

  937. some point, but somewhere along the way, I'm gonna bridge

  938. that gap for somebody to say, hey, you know, God's real,

  939. Maybe that person who's questioning something somewhere along the way,

  940. and they just I'm the right person.

  941. There at the right time.

  942. And I've had a lot of good conversations sometimes with

  943. brothers that I get out there and get things and

  944. they don't. They don't really talk about the faith. They're

  945. not really out there about it. But it's like, Man,

  946. I'm out there with my you know I do. There's

  947. you know, stuff on my jeep to get you to

  948. ask me about my faith. You know, there's the channel

  949. name in eighteen seventy to get people to ask me, Man,

  950. where'd that come from? Oh there's a story behind that,

  951. you know. People look at my jeep, Man, what's that

  952. writing on the hood your jep?

  953. That's not English?

  954. Like, Oh, there's a story behind that, you know. And

  955. it opens up the story. It allows me a the

  956. avenue to spread the gospel. And then to just back

  957. to my lessons. I learned after our BTR days to

  958. throw a little bit out there and see if.

  959. They take a bike. You know, you don't you can't

  960. go to catch fish, you know, you got to get

  961. them to bike the lore. Then I always bike the Lord.

  962. So noiw I, you just go to fish a really

  963. into fifty and bike right without fifteen bike and move

  964. on the next fish, you know.

  965. But uh, it's kind of some tactfulness I've learned to

  966. have over the years by interacting with people physically from

  967. church that I've learned how to hold this craft.

  968. A little bit.

  969. And so that's kind of what I'm doing with this

  970. and also encouraging other people to do it.

  971. You know. When I became at.

  972. Work, I used to set my Bible on my toolbox.

  973. And it's fifteen years ago when I started doing this,

  974. and that sparked so many people to talk about their

  975. faithful work because I would just set my Bible on

  976. there and we'd go to break I picked my ble

  977. up taking breakroom.

  978. I mean I read it, you know, got done. Break

  979. time's over, go ouack to work my Bible on a toolbox.

  980. I go to work my Bible just there in my toolbox.

  981. That started so many conversations with people that, you know,

  982. strengthen brothers who are like man I would never thought

  983. I could even you know they are. They think like

  984. they have to keep this in a closet, you know,

  985. because the world has conditioned us that our faith only

  986. matter is on Sunday between eleven and twelve, and that's

  987. when we're Christians, and for the rest of the week

  988. we're not Christians no more. And I'm like, no, we're

  989. Christians all the way long. When you're going to the

  990. gas station, of you're Christian. When you're out buying groceries,

  991. you're a Christian. You know, when you're going off for

  992. your family just having a good time.

  993. You're a Christian.

  994. So it's be a Christian and everything you do, not

  995. just Sunday from eleven to twelve. So when I'm at work,

  996. I'm a Christian. You know, I'm also there to work,

  997. so I'm working.

  998. I want to mix that one up there.

  999. When I'm at work, I'm paid to be working. But

1000. while i am working and earning my pay, I'm a Christian.

1001. So I'm also being a person of faith and I'm

1002. trying to show my faith but also still work and

  1003. everything I'm doing.

1004. Well, this exemplifies your name anyway.

  1005. I mean this.

1006. I like how you put it, and you succinctly laid

1007. this out that you have become what you were looking for,

1008. and that took a whole lot of qualifications and knowledge

1009. was not enough because you certainly had acquired a font

1010. of knowledge, but you were not able to connect with people.

1011. And it's amazing to me that you had to do

1012. the next step. Now you didn't know it, but that's

1013. exactly what God had planned, and he stuck you in

1014. front of a classroom. Boy, that must have really crashed

1015. your party. You must have got up in front of

1016. that classroom thinking, man, I know it all. I'm going

1017. to teach this class everything they need to know, and

1018. within four verses they glaze over and they're dear in

1019. the headlights. So it is a wonderfully encouraging road. Or Derek,

1020. as we might say, that God puts you in to

1021. be the person that you needed. I mean, you've become

1022. that person you were trying to find. So if you

1023. were to go back in time right now and put

1024. on a ball hat and talk to yourself back then

1025. you would exactly be the person you needed. And that

1026. is a truly amazing thing that He used all this

1027. circumstance and place with you to get you where you

1028. needed to be so that you could be that person

1029. for people who need it. Because what you're talking about

1030. is the mold today today, if you work at the

1031. gas station, you have to work at the gas station.

1032. You're not a Christian at the gas station. You're not

1033. allowed to be a Christian at the gas station. But

1034. you have bridged that gap and you've become that person

1035. that all those people you meet meet, And that's pretty

1036. amazing to me. But you know, you you started out

1037. the conversation saying that you know, you knew all the

1038. traditions of men, so to speak, as Jesus quoted, and

1039. there's some great, big traditions of men, and if you

1040. go to church on Sunday, you can talk about those traditions. However,

1041. when you read the Bible, that's a completely different story.

1042. That is a completely different story. Most of the things

1043. that Christians talk about is completely fiction, just so disconnected

1044. from the reality of the Bible. So why don't you

1045. tell us that you've familiarize yourself with a text. You

1046. might say that you absolutely have absorbed it into your personhood. Right,

1047. So give us your take. What is to come? What's

1048. your eschatology? What do you think the Bible is actually

1049. saying is going to happen?

1050. I would say, if I'll start off with this, I

1051. believe that I live in the days.

1052. I believe every generation things of living the end of

1053. the days. So I'll say this with a granna and

1054. I look around. I'm like, man, you guys, if you're

1055. looking for a sign and you were allowed. This year,

1056. we've had solar flares auroras in Georgia which I captured

1057. both on YouTube, and pretty soon we're gonna have a

1058. nova going off in the.

1059. What's that constellation Corona Borealis.

1060. There'll be a nova going off. They believe this summer

1061. they should be able to see it. And I'm like,

1062. if you're looking for signs, look up, they are happening.

1063. I have never in my life, well, I had seen

1064. a blood moon once. I think in the past five years,

1065. i've seen this five times.

1066. Now, I've seen it once. My entire left up at

  1067. this point.

1068. Never seen their roar before, never seen a solar eclipse before,

1069. seen two of them in the past couple of years.

1070. I'm like, you know, that's the one thing. I truly

1071. believe we're living in the days. I always preface I

1072. was saying, though, I do believe when I read what

1073. Christ said about the end of the days, it seems

1074. like he's telling every generation to think you live in

1075. the days, because he wants you to be prepaired, you know.

1076. So I do want to be paired, But I truly

1077. believe that we're in the end of the days. But

1078. what I think is coming, what I think is going

1079. to happen, is exactly what Scripture said. It's going to

1080. be the same thing that's already happened before. Because there

1081. is nothing new under the sun. Same patterns are happening

1082. over and over again. Details may be changed from revolution

1083. to revolution, but you know, this earth keeps spinning in

1084. a circle, and yeah, every time it goes in a circle.

  1085. It's to do day.

1086. You know, the stars are all still in the same place,

1087. the Sun's in the same place. It looks pretty much

1088. like you did day before. As the Earth goes around

1089. the Sun all the way around complete this year. Yeah,

1090. we've changed our positions. And this planets over here.

1091. Now, this planets over here, and this star is over here.

1092. Now it's over here. But you know, it's still kind

  1093. of the same pattern.

1094. So I'll look at script and I will say, what

1095. is coming is a pattern repetitious of what has already been.

1096. And if you would, all you gotta do is read

1097. this book. It's the same things coming. I've got stuff

  1098. I study that may.

  1099. Be completely wrong.

1100. I mean, I'm trying to think of I'll just try

1101. to look at my list on my iPad.

1102. I've studies. I've done. Some of these I've never finished.

1103. I've got one called the ten Kings.

1104. If they're out today, and I'm trying to figure out

1105. in my head, who would the ten Kings be?

  1106. Like?

1107. Guy, I got about five or six. I think it

1108. could possibly be. You know, I got another one we

1109. talked about earlier Bible mistakes or in parentheses things not

1110. in the Bible, where I start taking all these little

1111. verses that I think the Bible I've always heard the

  1112. Bible said.

1113. I write it down. I said, we'll come back to

1114. study this later, see what it says. Now, a lot

1115. of these things I study.

1116. And I just opened little threads that I just don't

1117. get time to finish because commasoned earlier.

  1118. I got to work.

1119. I'm coaching a team, I'm still doing the eighteen seventy

1120. off road stuff. So there's a lot of me and

1121. little things get pulled in all these different directions to do.

1122. So a lot of times I never finished the study.

1123. So sometimes it's maybe two three months later. When I

1124. sat out in Ga Hunt in April, I spent a

1125. ton of time reading scripture. My plan was on this

1126. day of the irony, that means you started talking. Now

1127. on this day, I did this entire thing called a

1128. big Frog loop. In a day, I had downloaded the

1129. Marinatha ministries on the podcast to start listening to them.

1130. I think I got through one and a half.

1131. I've brand into so many people that wanted to talk

1132. to me in the wilderness that I've never met before.

1133. And I ended up not hard to listen to it

1134. because I'd stop and talk people, you know, and I

1135. just I'd meet people all the time. They oh my god,

1136. I've seen your YouTube videos. You know, they pull off

1137. and talk to them whatever. They recognize my GEP or

1138. something out there and you know, riding these trails and stuff.

1139. So you know, I had plans of doing that. That

1140. was kind of my idea, but hey, I ended up

  1141. minishing people instead.

1142. That's that's wrong with that. SEX say.

1143. Sometimes I think I know what God's plan is, and

1144. God's like, nah, you got something different doing the day.

1145. So I'm always fluid and ready to be.

1146. When the time comes, I'm not out chasing normal try

1147. to already have morel with me, you know.

1148. So I'm trying to say.

1149. All right, when I'm going out to the world, I

1150. am prepared to do what I think I'm gonna do,

1151. but I'm also prepared for the Holy Spirit to say, yeah,

1152. you're doing something different. Is to this day is not

1153. going to go the way you thought it was ended

1154. up doing something completely different. So I had planned to'll

1155. do so much study. I wanted to catch up with

1156. stuff because I hadn't listened to the podcasts from you

1157. probably in a year or so.

1158. I was like, man, I gotta catch up with Matthew's doing.

1159. And uh, I remember one I think was you and

1160. your daughter talking about love, and that's the one I

1161. didn't get to finish. I was like, that's kind of

1162. getting into that one, like this is really good, you know,

1163. and it's just I didn't get to finish that one.

1164. That's the one where I the first people to stop

1165. me in a Forerunner started talking to them, and then

1166. it was another group of guys that I actually called

1167. them a video and I stopping with them. So I'd

1168. kept bumping into people I was like, well, this this,

1169. this thing will happen. I guess I'm doing something different today.

1170. But yeah, so I'm always prepared with scripture. But the

1171. thing is, this goes back to what you're saying, what's coming.

1172. It may not go down exactly like I think it's

1173. going to, but I know the pattern will be true.

1174. The the format has been set, you know, the foundation

1175. has been true. Maybe I've got the details wrong my

1176. Ken King's list, every one.

1177. Of them might be. I might have the wrong ten guys,

1178. but you know, it's just me.

1179. It's just me playing around thinking maybe I can figure

1180. out how some of these guys are. I want to

1181. study and see, you know.

1182. You know and exactly. You know, it's amazing that. Wow.

1183. Once people pick up their Bible and actually start reading it,

1184. a lot of times they become disassociated from their church

1185. family because they quickly realize that, wait a minute, whatever's

1186. going on in the Bible, that's not what's happening at

1187. Sunday School, that's not what happening at church, and everything

1188. they're saying at church, that's not what the Bible actually says.

1189. Especially when they get to the read letters in the Bible.

1190. You start reading those you like way, something's terribly wrong.

1191. You know, the life and situation is so far left

1192. and right of center where God put it. It's really

1193. kind of disturbing. And you know, it's encouraging that God's

1194. putting you where only he can put you. And that's

1195. that's a good thing. And I appreciate that you heard

1196. Mariah and I's episode. They're the fundamentals love. You know,

1197. that was her idea, that was her baby. It's still

1198. her baby. Now. She's doing full time ministry up at

1199. Lakewood Park Bible Camp, so that's what she has to

1200. do the whole summer. That's what she wants to do

1201. with her career. She is going to be in ministry.

1202. So you know, that's it's amazing to me that the

1203. Lord pricked me and said, man, you need to check

1204. upon Derek and see where he's at. And very encouraging

1205. to see that you're still doing what you do. And

1206. how many people do you know are like that? How

1207. many people do you know that after this much time,

1208. still are doing what it is God wants them to do.

1209. And that's very encouraging to me. That's extremely encouraging. And

1210. you know, you say, you know you're pretty sure we're

1211. right there at the end, and a lot of people

1212. don't think that. Well, let's just put two and two together.

1213. Let's see where we can go with this. And you know,

1214. I'm not going to cover the chapter and verse, but

1215. I'm just going to just going to read this and

1216. I'm sure everybody's heard this verse before. Seventy weeks have

1217. been decreed for your people in your holy city to

1218. finish the transgression, to making a desin, to make it

1219. a coment for iniquity, to bring an everlasting righteousness, to

1220. steal a vision prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.

1221. Now that's as succinct as you can get it. That's

1222. the gospel truth. That's what he said, right, I mean,

1223. that's the gospel truth when you realize that when you

1224. take a look at you know, your people in your

1225. holy city. Everybody knows what the Christian's capital is, and

1226. it ain't Rome. It's not Rome. Everybody knows that the

1227. Christian capital is where our Savior was crucified. It's where

1228. our Savior resurrected. We have no other capital. That's it Jerusalem.

1229. So you know, let me put this pastory. I'm going

1230. to tell you what I was just doing today, just

1231. for fun. Okay, the Bible's very clear that there is

1232. a time of the Gentiles. Now, lots of people thinks

1233. it's this and that and the other. However, this is

1234. the truth. The Temple Mount was liberated on June seventh,

1235. nineteen sixty seven. Now the problem is is that the

1236. Jews didn't keep it. They handed it over voluntarily to

1237. the Gentiles. They voluntarily they handed it over to the

1238. King of Jordan. They did this voluntarily, thereby instituting the

1239. time of the Gentiles. So when is seventy years from

1240. that day? Well, you would think it would be June seventh,

1241. twenty thirty seven. That's what you would think. But then

1242. you look into the heavens and you realize that what

1243. happened on that day was the new moon. Back in

1244. June seventh, nineteen sixty seven, there was a new moon

1245. right between Chorus's horns. If you go to twenty thirty seven,

1246. that winds up being six days later, on June thirteenth,

1247. twenty thirty seven. Now, I'm just being very light here.

1248. When you back off there seven years, you all better

1249. figure this out. That's twenty thirty and this is a

1250. historical fact. We know from the astronomical data that Jesus

1251. had you have been crucified on one of two dates.

1252. It was either pass over in thirty a d or

1253. pass over in thirty three AD. And we know that

1254. jose It comes right out and says that after two

1255. days we will be redeemed. So when you throw that

1256. information at people, it makes them stop when their tracks thray.

1257. Wait a minute, let me write that down. You can't

1258. be right. I mean, you can't be right because you

1259. just said that we're going to enter into great tribulation

1260. in twenty thirty. Yeah, that's exactly what I said, But

  1261. I didn't say it's just the math. So that's just

1262. lightly what I was doing this afternoon when my alarm

1263. set to text you is I was in the middle

1264. of bringing up stilarium. I didn't want to know the date.

1265. I want to know where the faithful Witness was compared

1266. to the sun on the day that the Jews liberated

1267. at the Temple mount. So what a rabbit hole that was.

1268. But God is going to use that. He's going to

1269. use that information to people that come in contact me.

1270. People send me messages and questions every single day about

1271. celestial somology. Every day. I want to know what's happening here,

1272. what does this mean? What's going on over here? And

1273. it amazes me that you said, yeah, here, within the

1274. past little while, you've seen the northern lights and that

1275. ain't normal in Georgia. I should know. I lived in Georgia.

1276. I attended an academy in Georgia. This is why I

1277. graduated high school in two years. That's where I went.

1278. I moved to Georgia to attend the academy so I

1279. could graduate in two years instead of four. So I

1280. know all about Georgia. And if you're saying you've seen

1281. the northern lights there, we are obviously way outside of normal. Right.

1282. Oh yeah, that is uh.

1283. That day that happened, I knew it was coming because

1284. I knew about and seeing me it happens, I knew

1285. there was a possibility because as you say, I'm always man,

1286. I study what the sun's doing. I try to study

1287. as much as I can what stars are doing, because

  1288. that's those are God's stars.

1289. He put them up there and they're there for.

1290. Us, and so I keep an eye out, man. I

  1291. to this day, it's a habit people don't think it's weird.

1292. I'll walk out of a door. My first place I look,

1293. of course, I was outside of SIDEAE.

1294. I'll walk in nothing, and I look up every time,

1295. out of habit, your habit, because I know my redemption's coming.

1296. Every time I've got look up. Not yet you got

1297. a few more dunts so here on my walk, But

  1298. I'm always looking up.

1299. And that day that had come, we had a doubleheader

1300. softball game. And I remember, matter of fact, guys, you

1301. could on my Facebook page.

1302. My personal one, which I hardly use, but.

1303. Other than coaching my softball team, I remember that morning

1304. I had posted, hey guys, pretty big ceme coming.

1305. This is rare. We don't get this. It's like you

1306. might see some northern lights today. There's a chance of it.

1307. And sure enough that night I'm out here in the field,

1308. in my softball field behind my house, on the golf

1309. cart with my camera out taking pictures and photo I mean, wow,

1310. to have the sky glow in all those cars. I'd

1311. never seen anything like that before my life. It didn't

1312. move like I thought it was supposed to be. Cou

1313. I've never seen it on TV. I guess what I

1314. see on TV must be sped up for time laps.

1315. But I look up that, I'm like, wow, you know,

1316. but I already believe I've already got my heart set

  1317. in cryt.

1318. That's not for me. So I hope if.

1319. You were in Georgia that day, or however far you

1320. saw the life, I hope y'all saw them, because that

1321. that wasn't for me. God's already got my heart. But

1322. some of you out there, maybe who are not sure

1323. of the times you live in, you're kind of questioning

1324. things look up because there are signs that keep coming.

1325. Let's say I mentioned you know this other stuff that

1326. could be coming. You know, with everybody who's talking about

1327. the star Beetle Juice going super and over, everybody's expecting it,

1328. and of course what happens anytime soon. It would have

1329. went super over a couple hundred years ago. But that

1330. ain't one I would talk about earlier. Do you want to

  1331. talk about earlier?

  1332. Is T? I remember? This? Is it? T c RB? Yeah?

1333. TCRB, So it's t Corona boy allis I'm watching that

1334. one and I'm like, if that I want to see

  1335. how it goes.

1336. It may just be a.

1337. Little popular of them and it goes away and it

1338. wasn't really much assign people. But that's another one that

  1339. could be coming soon.

  1340. A new star.

1341. Appear in the sky and then disappear a couple of

1342. weeks later, that's a sign God's got letting. You know, guys,

1343. this stuffs up. You know this is uh. I've never

1344. known a time that you had this.

  1345. Much stuff popping up.

1346. And I got it that Matthew hit me with something

1347. with a new moon on nineteen sixty seven. I don't

1348. believe I knew about that. But you know, when they

1349. took the Timple mount in nineteen sixty seven, I don't

1350. think I knew that was a new moon.

1351. I'm trying to remember to date that happened. Was that

  1352. an odd.

1353. So now I'm getting off from the side topic here,

1354. But anyway, see now you got me want to look

1355. into something. I love playing with Stilario man. I remember

1356. when we were doing BTR days. I shared a picture

1357. and I'm going to redo that into a YouTube video.

1358. It's been on my mind to do it at some point.

1359. But uh, I remember setting stelarium into the Temple Mounts,

1360. backing the star date up to the time of the Crucifixion.

1361. It don't matter which year you do it in because

1362. stars are in the same place every year, and there's

1363. a little bit of procession of the equinoxes where they

  1364. move around.

1365. A little bit. But two thousand years ago there's a

  1366. little movement.

1367. But if you go to then set your selarium back

1368. to those years ago, you're right in the Temple mounts

1369. in Jerusalem, right to the hour when Christ is on

1370. the cross and the stars. I'm sorry, when the sun

1371. the sky went dark for three hours and you look

1372. straight up, there's a star that goes right over the cross.

1373. And if I'm telling you, if that it was closer,

1374. the cross would have pierced his eye. And uh.

1375. The star is called ros al Ghul. I never will

1376. remember this one. It is in Arabic.

1377. It means the devil, and I just remembered as like,

1378. the constellation is this the uh.

1379. Says that Andrama that has the head of Percy's I

1380. don't for gotten him. The constellation Consolation is is it

1381. Persius or Andromeda who has the head in his hand?

1382. Lordy, I'm forgetting your name. But anyways, that constellation goes

1383. over the Temple mount goes right over the cross. That

1384. cross would have pierce his right eye. And then I'm

1385. thinking of two verses of.

1386. Scripture number one where it talks about in zachar Raiah,

1387. is it eleven that would pierce his right eye? And

1388. then I also remember the other verse in Matthew chapter

1389. five or six, where he says, you fool, you're worried

1390. about the splinter and your brother's off when there's a

1391. plank in your own off.

1392. And I'm like, the stars are telling you scriptures. Guys.

1393. You just pull a sterium and a look, the scriptures

1394. are in the stars. You ain't got to have the Bible.

1395. I've read it before in the Bible, but I knew

1396. when I looked at the stars. I'm like, I know

1397. what verses I told me about. So, yeah, God's word

1398. is even in the stars. His creation is so powerful

1399. that creation itself can pich the Gospel to.

  1400. You, so says Romans.

1401. Yep, so says Romans cry out.

1402. Yes absolutely, boy. We could talk about that for another hour,

1403. couldn't we. So it's it's been good catching up with you, Derek,

1404. and I hope you continue to become what it is

1405. you needed back there when you got you know, that

1406. around around that time you met me, when you were divorced,

1407. you had two kids, trying to find your way, and

1408. you had no fellowship there, and it really is pleasing

1409. to hear that you've actually become that fellowship for those

1410. people that you're meeting. And you know, I can only

1411. say this. You're the coach. So you could probably have

1412. whatever name you wanted or whatever number on your jersey

1413. you wanted, and I'm telling you to go have eighteen

1414. seventy embroidered on it. Okay, that's that's what your number

  1415. needs to be.

1416. Man, So you've said it. Now, we'll forgot a way

  1417. to make that happen.

1418. All right, Derek, it's been Uh, it's been good to u.

1419. Good to catch up with you. Is there anything you'd

1420. like everybody to know, maybe where they can catch your

  1421. videos at or whatever?

1422. So yeah, if you want to find me, I use

1423. Instagram and I use YouTube. Eighteen seventy off Road is

1424. a name on both of them. Say the reason behind

  1425. the name, guys, it.

1426. Is it is jeep centered. Everything I'm doing is in the.

1427. Jeep and exploring God's creation, So it's not like obviously

1428. the stuff we used to do. It is not the

1429. same thing as that this is gonna be a whole

1430. lot of me just out exploring in the woods in

1431. the wilderness, and sometimes me working on the vehicle and

1432. building the vehicle. Obviously, I think today my last video

1433. was me doing a radio doing a mod. So you know,

1434. it's not really again like I messon earlier. It's not

1435. that the channel is centered to be about my faith.

1436. Is that I am living up my life and faith

1437. and I'm not ashamed to show up people. There's another

1438. video coming or to film one part over. I'm actually

1439. gonna show Bible at one point. It's gonna be funny.

1440. It's actually in a joking level. Yeah.

1441. So you can catch eighteen seventy off road. Instagram and YouTube.

1442. That's the two things I use right now at least

1443. that you can see me on and you can kind

1444. of follow my walk there in a way and see

1445. as it goes that. I guys, I have no idea

1446. where this goes in the future. I know what I

1447. think is going to happen, and.

1448. I can tell you every time I think I figured

1449. it out, God show me something different.

1450. So I am going wherever the Holy Spirit leads this thing.

1451. And I have no idea where that's going to be

1452. two years from now. I got pretty God there where

  1453. to be tomorrow and.

1454. The next day. But that's about it. Let's so yeah,

1455. eighteen seventy off road is where you'll find me at.

1456. All, right, Derek, It's been good to catch up with you.

1457. Till next time. God bless, God speed.
