  7. truth and Grant that we may be obedient to your words and may

  8. fulfill your Commandments at every hour.

  9. O you who enlightens the rationale with the knowledge of

  10. your greatness? He's doin light O My Lord.

  11. Our thoughts that we made meditate upon your holy and

  12. divine scriptures at all times. Oh Lord of all Father and Son

  13. and Holy Spirit forever. Amen.

  14. Double-edged sword. A Christian podcast Ministry

  15. presented by father, jonard Lazar father.

  16. Jernard is a parish priest of the mud edit Parish of the

  17. Assyrian Church of the East and Turlock California.

  18. Here's father jernard a suggest the topic by one of our

  19. listeners was becoming a vessel of reconciliation.

  20. I mean after all we are the children of God.

  21. According to Galatians chapter 3, verses 26 to 27, through our

    Galatians 3:26–27

  22. faith in Jesus Christ in our baptism and according to

  23. Matthew, 5:9 one of our many obligations is to be makers, of

  24. Peace blessed. Are they says, the Lord who make

  25. peace for, they will be called the children of God and Saint.

  26. John chrysostom comments on this verse, he writes, Here.

  27. Jesus not only response that they meaning, the disciples and

  28. us should not Feud and become hateful to one another.

  29. But he's also looking for some months, something else and

  30. something more that we bring together others who are feuding.

  31. And again, he goes on, he promises a spiritual reward.

  32. What kind of a reward is it that they themselves Shall be Called

  33. children of God. For, in fact, this was the

  34. crucial Of the only begotten to bring together things divided

  35. and to reconcile the alienated Saint John chrysostom.

  36. The question can be presented in many ways, ways that can reflect

  37. the significance of being a vessel of reconciliation ways

  38. that highlight the obligatory factor of being a vessel of

  39. reconciliation and one of those being, how do I continue and

  40. live my title as a child of God? Good or better?

  41. Still, how do I become like the only begotten Son of God.

  42. Who reconciled us to God when we were his enemies?

  43. Second Corinthians 5:18 but let's just keep this discussion,

    2 Corinthians 5:18

  44. according to the initial request and question.

  45. So to begin with, to become a vessel of reconciliation, we

  46. need to place ourselves. That is our minds, our hearts,

  47. our intentions, our aim, our purpose, our bodies, and our

  48. souls into the all, sanctifying all righteous path of God, to be

  49. directed, according to his will not ours, according to God's

  50. perfect will and his wisdom and his power.

  51. We need to have the same Love and Desire and intention.

  52. As did Christ The Glorious reconciler through whom God the

  53. Father reconciled us onto himself again. 2nd Corinthians

  54. 5:18. Why?

  55. Because so God loved the world. John 3:16.

    John 3:16

  56. We need to First possess We need to value and nurture the type of

  57. love that is found in 1st Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verse

  58. 6, the love that, possesses the quality of not rejoicing in

  59. evil, but rejoices in the truth. You see, beloved.

  60. It is evil that Brothers and Sisters in Christ or biological

  61. brothers and sisters are not at peace with each other.

  62. And at times over the most pity and puny of things.

  63. And at times, even enemies, just as it is evil or it was evil as

  64. when man and God became enemies in the Garden of Eden.

  65. Why why did we become the enemies of God?

  66. Because the righteousness Holiness of God could not be at

  67. odds with the evil and corrupted nature of men.

  68. So there was animosity and that is evil.

  69. What goodness is there in enmity and animosity and hatred?

  70. We need to determine an acknowledge that that which is

  71. good and that, which is evil. And this commands, this

  72. knowledge commands in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve ate

  73. from the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.

  74. So off the bat, we need to discern.

  75. If it's a good thing or it's an evil thing for brothers and

  76. sisters friends, family relatives neighbors to be at

  77. each other's throats. When we determine if it is good

  78. which is not. Obviously then there were in

  79. danger but when we acknowledge that note that that is evil,

  80. then we can take our first step to be that vessel of

  81. reconciliation to bring peace. We need to call good good.

  82. Isaiah 5:20. Whoa, why in there soon

    Isaiah 5:20

  83. language? Why Allah when Jesus says in the

  84. Bible says, Whoa, We need to be very careful and very cautious.

  85. We're in danger. Woe to those who call evil good

  86. and good evil, and put light for darkness and darkness for light,

  87. and put bitter for sweet and Sweet for bitter.

  88. We need to acknowledge, we need to recognize the good.

  89. All the evil in one relationship that we're trying to be a vessel

  90. of reconciliation. We need to sacrifice, if need be

  91. sacrifice our reputation. So if you right at this moment,

  92. you're thinking uh, there's a lot.

  93. You know, the onus is truly on the person that wants to be that

  94. vessel of sacrifice of reconciliation.

  95. Amen to that, you know, Jesus just didn't just come down from

  96. heaven and said, blew his his his holy o life.

  97. Giving breath and said you're all reconciled.

  98. No, he had to go to the Cross, you know?

  99. When when Saint Paul says the cross even the cross, that's

  100. when he says Untold death even until the death of death of the

  101. Cross is trying to emphasize that the cross was a sign of

  102. suffering. A sign of ridicule, a sign of

  103. pain, a sign of unrighteousness. So when we want to become a

  104. vessel of reconciliation, we need to be prepared to sacrifice

  105. reputation, favoritism friendship and it's at times.

  106. Even Kingsman sheep, you know, families and relatives.

  107. What I mean, is calling a spade, a spade, regardless of who that

  108. person is when trying to bring peace and Reconciliation, you

  109. see, Christ was not accepted by his own relatives.

  110. We read in Mark chapter 3, verse 21 and all his relatives heard

    Mark 3:21

  111. and they went out to take hold of him.

  112. For they were saying he has gone out of his mind relative, not

  113. families relative. There's a difference between a

  114. relative and a family member has asthma will be a tutor.

  115. So Christ was not expect accepted by his own relatives,

  116. why? Because he was speaking the

  117. truth. So we need to be truthful as

  118. well. Not show partiality at all.

  119. Just as there is no partiality with God.

  120. We read in Romans chapter 2, verse 11.

    Romans 2:11

  121. We need to have the same feelings for both the victim and

  122. the victimizer. You see the prodigal son, when

  123. The Prodigal Son returned, and the father received them by the

  124. way, the father didn't say to the prodigal son, I'm sorry,

  125. son, there is nothing. I have to repay for what you've

  126. done. I have someone has to repay for

  127. what you have done. The damage you've caused the

  128. relationship broken? Is that you've caused?

  129. No, he didn't. He embraced him.

  130. And and and and the father had the same love for the prodigal

  131. son. Just as the same love for the

  132. son, that was obedient. And yet.

  133. Yes, he says to the older Elder son, everything that I have is

  134. yours, but he did the same with her prodigal son.

  135. So, we need to have the same feelings, for both the victim

  136. and the victimizer. We need to have love compassion.

  137. Understanding, we need to be ready to listen, more than we

  138. speak. James 1:19.

    James 1:19

  139. Our next episode is about taming the tongue, and we're going to

  140. look at this. We need to be prepared to

  141. listen, not to make a partial judgment judgment in partiality.

  142. And in haste, we need to listen at times.

  143. We need to absorb and we need to think about ponder about the

  144. situation, you know, for three years, Jesus was on Earth,

  145. praise and glory, be to his name with three years, he was in

  146. communication with his father in communication with man as well.

  147. And the process of Reckless reconciliation took three years

  148. and it was completed on the cross, the sacrifice that I was

  149. talking about and he listened, he would listen to everyone.

  150. He would entertain everyone's complain.

  151. And even those who came to attack to oppose him, he would

  152. listen. And then he would speak.

  153. When Christ was captured, You know, one of the traditions and

  154. one of the father's rights that from the point that Christ was

  155. captured, he spoke no more. It was as though he was a

  156. sacrifice lamb. So that's how they count the

  157. three days that he was resurrected on the third day,

  158. when Christ was captured captured and brought to the

  159. tribunal. He didn't say much that he, he

  160. was listening. He didn't say much.

  161. It was very quick to hear, but slow to speak.

  162. Why? Because he was a short, he knew,

  163. Was going to happen. He knew the ridicule that he had

  164. to receive and accept, but he knew the glory that was

  165. awaiting. Him was a resurrection, was

  166. victory over death, Satan and sin.

  167. We need to be able to soothe. And be cautious.

  168. Not to aggravate sometimes when we want to bring peace and be

  169. that mediator the, the tribunal, we put our foot in it, we make

  170. things worse. We go in the, the intention that

  171. we have, the AIM that we have, we go in there, through our

  172. mind, our own thoughts, our own understanding, our own power as

  173. opposed to resorting to God's understanding knowledge and

  174. power. And right.

  175. Is this? Proverbs chapter 15 verse verse

    Proverbs 15 chapter mention

  176. 1. Quotes a swole, a soft word

  177. turns away anger and a hard word arouses Wrath.

  178. We need to have the mindset of Jesus Christ.

  179. As I said, previously is very important.

  180. We need to Value, peace and Reconciliation.

  181. We need to understand that when there is no peace, no

  182. reconciliation. And there is, as I said

  183. animosity, it is evil. God is not pleased, God is not a

  184. piece and does not take any joy in animosity.

  185. Family breakups, friendship, being split and hatred.

  186. And confusion and hurt. Because for God for God so loved

  187. the world that he gave up his only begotten, son.

  188. That's the mindset we need to have.

  189. And yes just when you thought that I'll be has forgotten his

  190. cliché. Here it is praying.

  191. We need to be prayerful. Most importantly we need to pray

  192. for the reconciliation of the two people.

  193. You know, we're going into a battle.

  194. This is the spiritual wisdom. Someone asked has requested that

  195. we speak. About the spiritual and the

  196. secular world were Warfare. We have here is by the way, a

  197. dream is heated. Yeah, we are going into a

  198. spiritual battle because there is evil.

  199. And when there is evil there is Satan and his demons that are

  200. trying to aggravate. Turn up the flame of evil and

  201. hatred. So before we try to even attempt

  202. to reconcile, we must pray and be in that mindset in that

  203. spiritual realm, in that spiritual situation, where we

  204. represent Jesus Christ in that relationship.

  205. And how do we do that? We need to rely only on Jesus

  206. Christ. We need to understand beloved

  207. that, either the victim or the victimizer a, both Sinners.

  208. They are, they are other Fallen broken corrupt nature and when

  209. you want to step up and make peace, God bless you.

  210. That is when we are the children of God, but we live and we

  211. portray that that sonship with God when Amongst many other

  212. things perform that Commandment that blessing.

  213. We want the blessing. We want to gain the blessing.

  214. Take the blessing that we truly become makers of peace and not

  215. aggravators of the situation, woe to those who enjoy evil woe

  216. to those. Isaiah writes who call evil good

  217. and want to even flame even more.

  218. The, the fire of Whoa, whoa, whoa.

  219. To those people but blessed, truly blessed are those who make

  220. peace? Because they become like Christ,

  221. you know, there is one of the aspects of being christ-like.

  222. That's why we call ourselves Christians christ-like.

  223. Let me give you an example. Now, this, this was taken both

  224. ways, but personally, this is my personal take during the the

  225. there's ceremony of the or inauguration of the new

  226. patriarch eight of the assume Church of the east in arable his

  227. grace Mara's, was presenting his speech in the Kurdish language

  228. because there is a lot of people from the Kurdish government

  229. there while he was speaking. The Islamic call to prayer Was

  230. Heard. Mara Breeze stopped.

  231. Now for many reasons, one being that while there is going on and

  232. Mara Brazil is presenting his preach.

  233. His speech there would be an interruption and people would

  234. not understand or hear, clearly what maribor's talking about.

  235. But he's also taken in a good gesture.

  236. In a Christian gesture that Mara bar has stopped talking until it

  237. was over. And today I was reading some of

  238. the comments. It was a post that had about 50,

  239. something thousand views and thousand and something comments

  240. and what I would read from the non-christians even that they

  241. would comment that this is the respect and the love and the

  242. peace. That Christians have see, there

  243. it is. this is being christ-like, beloved Not being

  244. stubborn. We don't need to be stubborn and

  245. we don't need to be always in competition.

  246. We don't need to, we just need to portray the love.

  247. The respect that Christ. Gave the entire world.

  248. Remember, God gave his son for the entire world.

  249. The sun is there. I'm sorry to say this way to bit

  250. likely has the Lord had pity on me.

  251. The sun, is there for the taking Grace.

  252. Is there for the taking? All we need to do is believe and

  253. we receive it. So when we want to be

  254. christ-like, one of many ways is also be makers of Peace.

  255. So right at this moment while you are vacuuming, and I always

  256. mention this while you're washing the dishes.

  257. Is all you're just sleeping in your room on your bed and just

  258. looking at the at the ceiling. And you're listening to this

  259. podcast or you're driving, be careful, always be cautious when

  260. you're driving. Think about it, who do you know

  261. that are not on? Good terms at the moment.

  262. Maybe not enemies, but still not on good terms.

  263. Who do you know that right? At this moment, our enemies at

  264. each other's throats locking horns, every time.

  265. Well, you are a child of God. You want to be blessed by the

  266. blessings that Jesus has there for the taking as a child of

  267. God. You know, maybe think about

  268. being that Peacemaker but before you do before you take that

  269. step, go back and revisit every listen to this episode.

  270. And then when You have prayed. And even faster.

  271. Because beloved as I said evil when you hear the word evil we

  272. must always remember Satan and his evil demons and Christ has

  273. commanded us. That when we want to attack when

  274. we talk we want when we want to go against these demons, we need

  275. to do it through prayer and fasting.

  276. And if you're successful, praise and glory, be to Jesus Christ.

  277. Don't take credit. You can't take correct.

  278. We cannot take credit for being the peacemakers.

  279. The only credit, Had his that God looks at us as his two

  280. children. Why?

  281. Because Jesus is the Prince of Peace, okay?

  282. So you're just presenting Jesus in that equation in that

  283. circumstance, but when we do become successful, as I said

  284. and, you know, the two parties May calm ends meet and and and

  285. they let bygones be bygones, then glory be to Jesus Christ.

  286. Our Lord, you know, we can do this.

  287. Why would Jesus? Provide this blessing, if he

  288. knew that we could not do this, we can do it through his

  289. strength, through his wisdom, through his knowledge, through

  290. the righteousness. That is evident in the

  291. scriptures and in the church liturgy.

  292. So do we just stand back and become more aggravators?

  293. I got it right aggravators of the situation or do we become

  294. the true children of God? Who bring that soothing peace.

  295. So that the Peace of Jesus Christ.

  296. Which supersedes all knowledge. All understanding will overcome

  297. and be triumphant, praise and glory be to God, the Father and

  298. Son. And Holy Spirit for

  299. one last thing. Please also don't forget to rate
