Moses Is Dead

-
We have a very special guest. The Lord connected this man of God with me about.
-
Three years ago or so, two, three years ago.
-
I had heard of him before and I always wanted to meet him.
-
And our barber introduced us. And so we've developed a friendship.
-
I respect this man of God.
-
I respect the anointing on his life, the experience.
-
This man knows God. And so when you hear from the Lord today,
-
you're going to hear through Apostle Terrell Murphy.
-
Give him a hand as he comes. Hallelujah.
-
I'm going to set him up. I'm going to set him up. Here we go. Anointing.
-
Music.
-
I need to be drenched.
-
That I may know you better. That I may walk with you better.
-
That I may discern you better.
-
Anoint my mind, God. Anoint my very soul.
-
Just begin to make your request of the Lord. How you want Him to drench you
-
where you need His presence.
-
It's in my thinking. It's in my relationship.
-
Those of you that are viewing and streaming just right where you are,
-
just begin to open yourself up to the Lord.
-
Presence of the living God. Rest on me. Consume me.
-
Fill me. Change me. Change me. Change me.
-
Anointing for transformation.
-
Yeah anointing for transformation anointing for healing anointing for strengthening,
-
let thy kingdom come and your perfect will be done,
-
oh no.
-
Music.
-
We expect your glory, your presence. We expect your personhood.
-
We expect everything that you are. Everything that you are, God.
-
You are our first love. We return to you with fasting and weeping and mourning.
-
Until every hindrance is removed. Until all fellowship is restored.
-
We long for you and we desire you. And we thirst for you.
-
Just tell about three people he's here today. He's here. He is here. He is here.
-
Wow, what a great day in the kingdom of God. It's good to see everyone,
-
those of you that I know, those of you that I don't know.
-
And such a joy to be with men and women who love God and want to seek God.
-
It's amazing that people will go to work in the rain, but they won't come to church in the rain.
-
I'm not talking about true life. I'm sending a message to my home church.
-
You know, we can kind of tell when we're videoing how people are coming in.
-
And it was a long time before we could really expand the camera.
-
And I said, somebody's home sleeping.
-
But thank God for all of you just being in the place of the Lord this morning.
-
I really love your man of God. I love your woman of God. I knew her before him.
-
And it's been quite a joy to be able to build relationship with with them over
-
the last couple or three years.
-
But just give God praise for Pastor Devon and Stacey.
-
They are just tremendous.
-
They love God and they love you very, very much.
-
We were back in the green room and I told us to turn to Susan and I said they
-
bought us back something from vacation.
-
And I said, she said, what was it? I said, the same thing they got us last year, which I was nothing.
-
But we're just glad to be with them. I'll make him pay for lunch the next time that we hang out.
-
But it's good to be here. Thank God for you. Thank God for this house and who
-
you are in the kingdom of God and what we stand for in the kingdom of God as well.
-
And my wife, Susan, is with me. We've been hanging out for 40 years.
-
We've been married for 36 years and uh
-
and we dated for four years well she chased me for
-
four years and i finally stopped and
-
turned around what have died to do with
-
thee and she said if you got any sense
-
dine will do a lot with you and so
-
uh thank god for you hanging out with me today
-
She's been taking care of me the last few weeks of
-
my back's been attacked but she's been been very faithful and making sure that
-
everything continues to move as it needs to and so thank God for you and my
-
youngest son Jonathan and his wife Alexis are here and my first grandbaby Elia.
-
When nobody's looking, she calls me king.
-
But thank God for them and brought some of our millennials over from Life Center.
-
We just put out a, Jonathan oversees that group and we just put out a quick text.
-
Pop's leaving if you want to come and hang out. The first, what did you say,
-
the first 12 or so did and they responded. I think some people sold their space, but they responded.
-
And thank you all for coming. I appreciate it. Does my heart good to see our
-
young people either hungry for God or just wanted to get out of the house today.
-
But either way, thank you for being. Let's be seated in the presence of the Lord.
-
I'm very excited about the things that I believe the Lord wants to say today.
-
And I'm going to move through them pretty quickly because I'm just one that
-
believes that faith comes by hearing and by hearing and by hearing. by hearing.
-
And so I'm encouraging you to go to your website or to your streaming address
-
and just listen to this word over and over again.
-
Pastor, I'm not just speaking to true life, but it is a word that was stirred because of true life.
-
But it's for everyone under the sound of my voice, people that are streaming.
-
The young men and women that came over from our ministry as well.
-
I believe it's a word for the body of Christ.
-
And so I just, you know, I was totally thinking of moving in one particular way and then moving.
-
I woke up early this morning and the Lord said, well, this is what I want you to speak.
-
And I was like, well, what about what I wanted to speak?
-
You know, but he said, no, this is what I want you to say to this house.
-
And so this is a fresh word.
-
Anytime I go anywhere, I try to administer a fresh word. I don't take messages
-
from Life Center and then take them to other places and try and hook them up.
-
I like to hear clearly what the Lord is saying. and he sends some real good stuff to this house.
-
And so not only will I speak to this house, I'll speak into this atmosphere
-
that any that come into it, we believe that the residue of the knowledge of
-
that word as it fits your culture will attach itself to them.
-
And so I pray that you hear clearly what the Lord is saying.
-
So Father, this is your day.
-
These are your people. You are our God. We're the sheep of your pasture.
-
I'm here for you and for the purposes that you ordained before the foundation of the world.
-
So Lord, not by power or might, but by your spirit, preach, minister,
-
lead, direct, guide, transform, inform, do everything that needs to happen inside
-
of your sons and daughters that they hear from,
-
What the spirit is saying to the church, God, I pray that by your spirit,
-
there'll be transformation that is exceedingly abundantly above anything they
-
could ask and or think of God.
-
Take them beyond who they see themselves as.
-
Take them beyond what they even imagine that you could do with their lives.
-
And God, bring this ministry into a place that your glory is revealed,
-
that all would know it. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory
-
forever and ever. In Jesus's name we pray. Amen.
-
Is it OK if I slide this table back a little bit? I just want to because I don't
-
want to trip over this and and then fake and prostrate like like that's part
-
of that was part of the message.
-
Just want to get you into the presence of God. But I do want to encourage this house today.
-
The Lord's given me a prophetic word for you.
-
He's given me a prophetic word for everyone that's under the sound of my voice
-
to hear this word and begin to move in it.
-
Now, I'm not talking about spooky prophetic where you got or,
-
you know, we got so much going on in the body of Christ today.
-
But I'm speaking something that I really believe in my spirit,
-
Devon and Stacey, that the Lord is really up to with this with this house.
-
And I'm grateful to be a to be a part of it.
-
Turn your Bibles to Joshua one and Joshua three. And I'll be reading a lot of those scriptures.
-
But I just want to get some things into your into your spirit.
-
A lot of times we change by just being in the right atmosphere to hear what
-
changes our thinking, what changes our doing, our being.
-
And that's what I believe the Lord is going to do today. And so I'm going to
-
be lifting up Joshua one quick part of it, a good part of Joshua three.
-
And what I want to do is convey God's heart to this house today.
-
We have to be mindful that the eyes of the Lord go to and fro in the earth,
-
looking for someone that he may show himself strong in on their behalf. Say my behalf.
-
God has no problem prospering his people.
-
God has no problem enlarging you and enhancing you.
-
He has no problem getting you into things that no one's ever been into before.
-
He has no challenges with taking you into places, dimensions,
-
spheres that no one's dared to go into before.
-
I think that we often look at the things of God and approach them in a way that
-
God's done all God's going to do. How many of you know that God's not finished?
-
And he's not finished with you. He said, before I formed you in your mother's womb, I knew you.
-
He said, I know the plans that I have for you and their plans to prosper you,
-
to give you a hope, to give you a future.
-
And then I love when he says, but if you seek me, you'll find me if you seek
-
me with all of your of your heart.
-
So I pray that you don't try and pin everything that I'm saying to David.
-
But they're going to be these certain things that the Lord is going to download
-
to you that will again shift your thinking.
-
The context of Joshua one is that God has appointed something new for the children of Israel.
-
There's a lot that's going on in this season right now.
-
And I'm so frustrated when I hear about sad Christians, sad believers because
-
of who's in the White House and who's not in the White House,
-
what's going on and what's not going on.
-
That challenges me because we're not a people that are of the donkey of the
-
elephant. We're of the lamb.
-
And to be consumed by worldly affairs to the point that it bothers us that we
-
can't work. We can't sleep.
-
We can't eat. We can't enjoy people that that's called the need for deliverance.
-
That ain't got nothing to do with who is president or who's not.
-
As a matter of fact, we serve a kingdom that is above the kingdoms of this world.
-
And so it challenges me when the people of God don't realize that as things
-
get more challenging, the grace of God increases.
-
That as we come in the more challenging situations, the more we'll act to see
-
the glory of God, to see the power of God. God loves the good mess.
-
That's why he calls us into obedience, because obedience will always create a mess.
-
When God tells you to do something, it's going to bother somebody.
-
Sometimes it's going to bother us. Sometimes it's going to bother the people
-
that we're around, the places where we live and move and have our being.
-
But more than anything, God wants men and women who are going to walk in the obedience of him.
-
But God wants us to know that in this season, God says, I'm doing new things.
-
I'm doing new things. And as I shared at Life Center, that from 20 to 24,
-
it was a time that God was revealing to the people of God what you really carry,
-
how you really act, what you really like.
-
And he showed us our shortcomings. He showed us our hindrances.
-
He showed us our sin, our iniquity, showed us all these things that go on in
-
our lives that many of us didn't even want to deal with.
-
But moving from 25 to 29, because this decade is supposed to be a tremendous
-
decade for the people of God from 25 to 29, you're going to see the glory of God.
-
You're going to see how phenomenal God is if you stay the course.
-
I celebrate this church because I know this man of God is after the heart of God.
-
He's after the mind and the will of God.
-
And he's looking to push that out, not just in this body, but in this region.
-
And so when we talk about the fact that God is doing something new in this text.
-
God's appointed something new for the children of Israel.
-
What's happened? Their leader, Moses, has died.
-
And in that, the Lord has made his mind known to them.
-
And then Joshua three reveals the risk that is associated.
-
And you said it, woman of God, with going deeper with God.
-
There's a risk in going deeper with God, but it's the greatest risk that you
-
could ever take from Joshua one. A part of what I want to share with you is that hear me clearly.
-
Your past leader is no longer who God is using to bring you into your promises.
-
Now, stay with me here because this is going to come together and make sense
-
in a few moments. Your past leader
-
is no longer the person God is using to bring you into your promises.
-
In fact, God tells Joshua that the leadership, the reign, the government that
-
was once over you is now dead.
-
Let me tie this together in modern Christianity. In an age where people really
-
will easily depart a ministry and then hitch their wagon to another ministry,
-
people do it so easily, not realizing that they're often still very connected to where they came from.
-
And the disconnect has them seeing their present leader as their past leader.
-
Oftentimes we wait for the present leader to do something that the past leader
-
did so we can have something to hold about them or hold above them.
-
We look for them to say the same things or make the same mistakes or handle
-
situations the same way, which often waters down our journey in God.
-
There's a disconnect that should be
-
but often it doesn't happen and when we
-
come into new places we often serve the
-
present leader in the ways that we serve the past leader treat them the same
-
way approach them the same way listen to them the same way and etc we just believe
-
we move from one place into another place and for some of you that might have
-
been three months ago for some of you it might have been three years ago.
-
It might have been 30 years ago that you got connected to the man of God or the woman of God.
-
But there are these tendencies that we have to see the old person like we see
-
the new person or to make the new person like the old person,
-
to make the new thing they're doing like the old thing.
-
I've seen that before, been in that before.
-
I've heard that before this and that. And these things actually become a hindrances
-
to our journey in the kingdom of God.
-
It can actually be a number of years that go by where you look at Joshua the
-
same way you looked at Moses.
-
This is your Joshua and you cannot look at your Joshua the same way as you look
-
to where you came from, what you did, where you were plugged in.
-
You can't look at in the same way.
-
And a hindrance to doing that is the simple fact that you end up getting in
-
places where you see your leader and minimize the glory that's upon their lives.
-
You can be so close to them that when the oil flows, you miss it.
-
You can be so connected to them that they begin to become familiar to you.
-
As I tell a lot of our leaders in the ministry, it's to your detriment if you make me common.
-
It's to your detriment simply because I have a responsibility to see you for
-
who you are and you should see me for who I am.
-
And as we see each other in honor toward one another, it allows us both to ascend
-
in the things of God in new, different and better ways.
-
Say this, say Moses is dead. And I don't know who your Moses was before you're where you are right now.
-
But as I was saying, if you look at Joshua the same way you looked at Moses,
-
you're going to miss what God's doing in your present and with your man of God.
-
In our journey of God, we sometimes don't realize things like the mindsets we
-
carry, the attitudes that we have towards where we are or the leader that we have.
-
Sometimes we don't pay attention to paradigms we walk in and activities.
-
Religious activities that we do and postures that we carry.
-
And we go from one place to the next in our journey or we move from one season
-
to the next in our journey,
-
not thinking anything's going to be different, not thinking anything's going
-
to be changed, that as I come into the church, it's going to be like it was the last time.
-
I believe God's a God that goes from glory to glory and from level to level.
-
There should be a greater anointing every time you come into the building because
-
the residue of the anointing from the last time you were there is carrying over
-
to the time that you're here now.
-
And it hits you into a place or moves you
-
into a place where you don't even have to wait on the worship team I'm
-
already worshiping you don't have to wait on prayer I'm already praying you
-
don't have to wait on the instructions from the man of God because the spirit
-
of the Lord is already moving with you And you're doing things and saying things
-
and moving in ways that is real evident that the spirit of the Lord is here
-
I don't need a worship leader.
-
I'm worshiping and leading myself.
-
I don't need somebody to play for me I can sing and do everything I need to
-
do and make a song unto the Lord.
-
The Lord tells us to sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs unto the Lord.
-
I don't need a whole lot of fabrication to help me see God because I'm already seeing him.
-
There's just a way that we approach the things of God that again,
-
minimalizes them and waters them down into the place that our mindsets and our
-
attitudes about where we are become the same thing.
-
Well, what are you doing? I'm just going to church. No, I'm going to have an encounter with God.
-
As a matter of fact, my whole row is going to have an encounter with God.
-
My whole section is going to have an encounter with God. We're going to encounter
-
God all the way to church. We don't have time to fuss. We don't have time to have problems.
-
We don't have time to be dealing with this and that. I don't care if a piece
-
of your hair fell out. God's still God.
-
But I'm not coming in to get what I got last week because God's the God of increase.
-
He's a God of acceleration and enlargement. And I want to come in and get into
-
the greater, say greater thing.
-
I want to come and get into the greater thing that God is doing.
-
You can't carry stuff you picked up last week and bring it into this week.
-
You can't carry what you're dealing with in life and feel that I'm coming into
-
a place with woe is me. I'm coming into a place to serve God, not to be served by God.
-
That's one reason we don't even use the word service, because I think in religious
-
circles, it so makes people believe, okay, sing for me, dance for me, pray for me, sing to me,
-
take me to my children, do this for me, find me a parking lot.
-
You just want to be served.
-
And so much of the body of Christ all over the world wants to be served.
-
They don't want to gather together to experience God for perhaps the Lord is
-
in this place and I didn't even know it because I came in this week the way I came in last week,
-
sang the same songs, did the same things quoted the same scriptures,
-
went through the motions the same way one thing that we love about Life Center
-
is nobody ever knows where we're going and what we're going to do we're the
-
church of order but no order,
-
because it's all about finding God and moving with him into what it is that God is doing.
-
So God here is telling Joshua that Joshua, Moses is dead.
-
And God is saying to each of you, just as he said to Joshua,
-
the former things that led you are dead.
-
The former way you've done church is dead. The former way that you've approached
-
the things of God is dead.
-
Where you came from, what you did, it might have worked back then,
-
but God's doing a new thing and will you know it because there are so many things
-
that we're giving life to and God's already left them.
-
But because we get caught up in religious activity and religious occurrences
-
over and over, we miss the very presence of God.
-
And Joseph, I forgot who he was, but he said, God is in this place and I didn't even know it.
-
Jacob didn't even know that God was in this place, but he was there with him,
-
but he didn't even know it.
-
God is saying that I'm moving you out of things inside of you that are dead,
-
that are keeping you from seeing me the way I really am.
-
God, it's important to us because there's going to be a supernatural shift for this house today.
-
God's wanting to be free in here to express himself in new ways.
-
This season, the Lord says, you're moving into true life.
-
The former things of your church experience are going to find it hard to move
-
in the environment the Lord is wanting to construct here.
-
Hear me life sinner hear me everyone
-
under the sound of my voice hear me true life the lord
-
is up to new things with the body he
-
ain't dancing the same way he ain't preaching the same way he's not leading
-
the same way he's not doing the same things that we've gotten comfortable in
-
and cause god to leave the building more than he's come in the building the
-
house of joshua is going to be greater than where Moses led you.
-
So you have to let go of the old leadership.
-
You have to let go of the old things you've learned. We don't realize the layers
-
of religion and church that are consuming our lives.
-
And the Lord is saying, I'm ready to move you from all of this.
-
Hear this. Any believer that advances has to realize that God himself is causing
-
you to divest of many things that were good.
-
But they're not good enough to get you where the Lord wants you to go.
-
Can you make amends with that? He's he's he's saying that you've got some good
-
things, but they're not good enough to get you to where it is that I'm trying to take you.
-
And so there has to be a divesture of some things.
-
Even Jesus tells the disciples who are later apostles that I must go away so
-
that the comforter can come. Can you imagine that, Pastor D?
-
Can you imagine walking with God himself for three and a half years?
-
And he says, but look, bro, I got to go.
-
So that the comforter may come can you imagine they had built their entire life
-
on jesus and now jesus is telling them that i've got to go and he was speaking
-
from a place that i've got to go because there's something bigger and better
-
that is going to come so you can more fulfill the ways of the kingdom.
-
They thought they were living with the advantage. And he said,
-
I've got to go so the advantage can come.
-
Some of us are so locked in the things that we've done that we think that's the best way to do it.
-
And but we've got to move out of the way, even in the year that King Uzziah
-
died, then Isaiah finally saw the Lord.
-
There's times in our lives where we've got to look at everything we're doing,
-
everything we're putting our hands to, every way we're approaching God and saying,
-
is this the only way that there is to approach God? I'm not talking about leave
-
a church and go to another church to find another way.
-
But within myself, am I giving God everything?
-
Am I giving him my yes? Am I giving him my praise? Am I giving him my consecration?
-
Am I giving him my desire, my heart, my will?
-
Am I giving him every single thing about myself, which changes my praise,
-
changes my worship, changes the way I do my business, changes the way I do my
-
job, changes me as a husband and a wife?
-
Because I'm living, I'm giving up every single thing to God and saying, have your way in me.
-
And he changes me into a person that's walking straight when I was walking crooked.
-
He changes me into a person that when I used to look at valleys,
-
I felt like I could not accomplish them.
-
But now I'm moving and looking at a valley and saying, is that the best you've got adversary?
-
Is that the best thing you can shoot at me?
-
Is this the only thing you can bring at me? God is saying, I'm looking for some
-
people that want to do some new stuff in a new way.
-
I want to share with you where you are individually and corporately,
-
and I hope you'll see what God is up to with you. Say with me.
-
The days are over of hoping that your neighbor hears the word.
-
The days are over for hoping that somebody you got a problem with hears the word.
-
God is saying, no, I'm speaking directly to you. I want to show you where you really are.
-
I hope you'll see through this text what God is up to with you.
-
As a matter of fact, just turn over to chapter three of Joshua.
-
And I feel strongly that the Lord has sent me here, Pastor, to sow this seed.
-
For those who hear me, it's going to be a confirmation.
-
I'm just going to be speaking into what you've already been feeling,
-
but maybe not been able to articulate.
-
And for others, God's going to prove that this word will be made manifest in days to come.
-
Verse 1, it says, Joshua rose early in the morning and they removed from Shittim
-
and came to Jordan, he and all the Israelites, and lodged there before passing over.
-
Listen, your Joshua, Pastor D, has taken you out of Shittim.
-
Shittim signifies the last place or the last encampment before crossing over.
-
What many of you haven't understood in your journey with God as he's moved by
-
the spirit, just to move with Joshua, how he's moving with this man of God,
-
how he may be moving where you're from.
-
What you haven't understand is that he has to get all the shit out of you to cross you over.
-
Somebody said, oh, shit.
-
See, it takes great courage to lead a people from where they are into where they should be,
-
especially when many people are unaware of where they should be or don't understand that the church,
-
it's people, it's to be a living,
-
moving organism, not a stoic, dead institution of practices and people who bore God.
-
I think God is bored with most believers. Because when you compare our lives
-
and the activity of our lives to what we see from Genesis to Revelation,
-
those folk were always active, moving with God, touching things,
-
moving into things, shifting, realigning, reordering, changing atmospheres,
-
changing environments.
-
It even says that those that turn the world upside down have now come here.
-
And that's just what pastor was talking about, is that every day that I go out,
-
I'm looking for an opportunity to move in the life of somebody,
-
because that's what the spirit of God is doing.
-
That's what he's up to. And we can't be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ
-
because we don't know somebody. I look at it like this.
-
I ain't going to probably see you again, so I might as well drop this on you.
-
I might as well might as
-
well drop this on you why because i'm
-
not ashamed of this kingdom that's inside
-
of me and i want it to match the kingdom that's
-
in you and root out pull down destroy and throw down that kingdom that's inside
-
of you that's creating the challenges in your life but the church is supposed
-
to be living and moving not stoic it's not a dead institution where people are
-
practicing things that God doesn't even have anything to do with.
-
The people of God are the most necessary people of any culture.
-
In whatever place that God plants them, you are the most important person there.
-
I was on a panel yesterday at a conference and after the panel we were talking
-
just about the importance of the people of God.
-
And I just begin to share what happens when all the people that work at B of
-
A that are believers understand they're not there because of their qualifications
-
on their resume or where they went to school.
-
They're there because they should be coming together with an agenda to advance
-
the kingdom of God in B of A.
-
What happens when everyone with Novant and Atrium, all the believers realize
-
we ain't just here to hang out in the break room and talk about what my pastor
-
wore Sunday and what my pastor drives.
-
We're here to strategize and come together and figure how we can bring the kingdom
-
of God to bear where we are right now.
-
Every building, in every city where the ministry of the saints are.
-
There's so much that can be done. There's so much that can be turned around
-
and dealt with, but often the people of God don't understand why I'm really there.
-
But wherever God plants us, we become the most valuable person that is there.
-
And we're there to bring a visual demonstration of the invisible God to everyone that's there.
-
So Joshua, like your pastor said he rose early in the morning and they removed
-
from Shittim and came to Jordan.
-
He and all the true life of lights and lodged there before passing over before passing over.
-
Let me explain the delays in your life. You're you're lodged at the place of crossing over.
-
You're lodged at the place of crossing over and while you feel like the new
-
things should be breaking forth in your life there's still some residue from your past journey.
-
Your past spiritual experience can't accompany you where you're going.
-
And you're going to have to step into this in a new way, in a new mind,
-
in a new spirit, because this man of God is changing.
-
He's not changing to leave you. He's changing to lead you.
-
See the leading and the praying and the
-
teaching that pastor has done has moved you out of shittim physically but what
-
happens is is is that we stay in shittim mentally and we stay in a place soulishly
-
and we stay in this place spiritually even though we're out of that place,
-
let me make this declaration to the house this morning you you are out of where you have been,
-
let me let me say it again you you are out of where you've been,
-
well what's the problem the problem is you just haven't broken
-
the lifestyle you adopted while you were there which
-
has now become the norm or a stronghold see
-
see we often return to that
-
to that to that to that place or
-
that person or that or that thing we we
-
often return to that when things get tight
-
in our lives i mean look at the disciples what did
-
they do they went back to fishing see see we got stuff we go back to and the
-
lord told me this morning he said murphy he said your backward step is hindering
-
your forward advancement he told me that i'm just letting y'all eardrop like
-
Sarah, you might get pregnant.
-
See, we often live cyclically and we live habitually attached to ways and means
-
that we gathered somewhere along the way.
-
Somewhere along the way, this attached itself to me.
-
Somewhere along the way, I was okay with it and let it set up residence in me.
-
Somewhere along the way, it began to dictate the way I saw and heard and talked
-
and did this and did that.
-
And we don't often understand it's keeping me from experiencing God at the greater
-
level that God wants me to experience him in.
-
But listen, sooner or later, this is what happens.
-
You come to a place where you can't get into the better or best and God will hold you up.
-
It ain't a devil this is Jesus Christ,
-
it ain't a principality it ain't a power it ain't a ruler of darkness it ain't
-
a crazy uncle it ain't a half-saved mom this is Jesus Christ.
-
That is holding you up, but I'm confident that the Lord wants to take this congregation deeper.
-
You said it earlier, and further.
-
What I've been teaching since the end of December of 24 has been in Isaiah 118.
-
The Lord says, come now, let us reason together.
-
He's saying here that there are some sin places in your life that need to be
-
dealt with. Though they're red as scarlet, I can make them white as snow.
-
And then God goes on to say in his love and mercy, if you're willing and if
-
you're obedient, you will eat the good of the land.
-
What's going on? God has you lodging at the Jordan.
-
Seeing, imagining what life could be, visioning, dreaming of your promised land. He's letting you see.
-
He's showing you a better land, better relationships. He's showing you better health.
-
He's showing you a better economic picture. He's showing you so many things
-
that are better than where you are.
-
But you can't go because he's lodging you here
-
at the Jordan where you can peek over and see
-
it But you can't step into it You're closer to it than you've ever been in your
-
life But it just doesn't seem like the dots will connect It just doesn't seem
-
like it won't jump off and become what you know it should become You know you're
-
more qualified than any and everybody else And how does she get the job? Praise the Lord.
-
So much is going on around you and you know and I know I should be in a better place by now.
-
But the Lord has me lodging at the Jordan, visioning and dreaming about what
-
it should really, really be like.
-
But not allowing you to enter until he and you do some reasoning.
-
Where are you? You're at a place of transition. You're at a place of transition.
-
And here's what the good news is. The Lord wants to get you over.
-
The Lord wants to get you listen true life you're
-
in a place here this is quick key now you're in
-
a place hear me where the instructions of the
-
Lord are very important for this next level he's taking you into it's very important
-
for the next level that he's taking you into in Joshua 3 verse 2 says after
-
three days the officers went through the camp everyone say officers.
-
It's important now that the pastors and caregivers here that are in the house are checking on people.
-
So after three days, the officers just went through camp.
-
They were just connecting with people about what was going on.
-
In verse three, it said they were commanding the people.
-
They gave them instructions and said, when you see the ark of the covenant of
-
the Lord, when you see the Spirit of God being born by the Levitical priests,
-
the worship arts team, then set out from where you are and follow that sound.
-
See, praise and worship is not a warm-up for the day.
-
It's not, I hope that's over when I get there.
-
No, it's not a warm-up for the day. Look at what the Lord is saying.
-
When you see the presence, something should jump off in your life.
-
When you see the presence, things should start happening in you.
-
When you see the presence, then set out from where you are and follow the presence.
-
Praise and worship is going to become more vital in this crossing over because
-
it's from there that the presence of the Lord is going to erupt in this house.
-
So not only does the Lord want you checking on each other, enhancing your personal
-
and your corporate worship experience at home and in here, but also he's communicating
-
things out of Joshua's mouth.
-
He's communicating out of
-
Joshua what needs to be communicated to
-
each other look at what Joshua says
-
in verse four he says yet a space must
-
be kept between you and it Joshua's
-
saying don't get so familiar with the Holy
-
Spirit that you think that you can be
-
him he says but you
-
need to keep some distance between you and him because he's
-
so mighty and he's so powerful and so holy that
-
his holiness could eat you up in a heartbeat so you
-
keep back about 2 000 cubits but
-
don't let him get out of your sight god's saying to
-
this house now that i'm bringing the presence of the spirit of god
-
in here and i'm wanting you to open up your
-
eyes and see who i am open up your ears and
-
hear what i am saying open up your mouth and begin to speak
-
what i am saying because i'm bringing him right here
-
that you would be able to experience the ark.
-
And know the way that you must go your answer
-
is in the holy ghost he's already
-
solved the problem he already knows what you need to do and
-
how you need to do it but you've got to be in the right place to
-
keep the right view of him i don't care what's coming on
-
my left and on my right i don't care what's going on in the government i don't
-
care what's going on with crazy people on my job with my crazy boss i get out
-
of my way I've got to keep my eye on the Spirit of God because he's trying to
-
take me into another place somebody say that's me.
-
And he's saying that you got to watch me now. Watch me, watch me, watch me now.
-
Because I'm taking you in a way that you've never gone before.
-
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I grew up in the Methodist church in Granite Falls,
-
North Carolina, near Hickory.
-
Came into New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia with Bishop Long, my wife and I did.
-
And there were more people in one section than was in our towns in that building.
-
And then and then the lord moved moved us from
-
there into charlotte to to plant that work
-
and on the first day there were 700 people there after one year
-
there were 1200 and i think 1212 people were
-
members in four years we built a 20 million dollar sanctuary
-
that is still in in huntersville that the
-
lord but the lord transitioned me out of all of that but
-
my point is i was stepping in the stuff that i'd
-
never been that way before and often when
-
we see something the lord is telling us to step into that we've
-
never been in before we turn and go back to what we know
-
what you know is disqualified in
-
this season so you need to lay aside every weight
-
of what you know lay aside every sin that's accomplishing
-
what you know and realize that pastor's giving
-
some very important instructions right now verse 5 and joshua said to the people
-
sanctify yourselves that is separate yourselves from a special holy purpose
-
for tomorrow the lord will do wonders among you yeah i heard that before and
-
it didn't work maybe you misinterpreted tomorrow.
-
See god will do a thing right now but it won't show up for six months,
-
how does he do it according to your faith he'll do
-
it right now now faith i'll do it now but
-
you ain't ready for it to show up i'll do it now so that everything is in order
-
and everything is in line the angels know what i'm doing the spirit of god knows
-
what i'm doing there's seers that around you to know what i'm doing because
-
i did it right now but you just ain't ready to step into it he says tomorrow
-
i'm gonna be doing wonders among you,
-
no i got about 14 that understand that he
-
said tomorrow whether you know it or not see
-
it or not feel it or not experience it not i'm gonna be doing wonders among
-
you you need to be walking around tomorrow and say there's a wonder right there
-
there's a wonder right there i prophesied there's a wonder right there there's
-
a wonder breaking forth in my life right now i might not be able to see it but
-
there's a wonder and baby i'm a wonder.
-
Because the Lord wants to work in your life in a new, fresh,
-
special, unique, unlike before way.
-
But there needs to be a measure of sanctification. See, as we journey, we pick up residue.
-
And it's not always confessed. Therefore, it's not forgiven.
-
The Lord says, confess your sin. The Lord says, if you confess your sin,
-
I'm faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you.
-
Do you know that a lot of people just say, Lord, forgive me,
-
but they never confess their sins.
-
He didn't say confess them just to say it. He said it because that's an order.
-
That's a principle. Why? Because in heaven, heaven is set up like a courtroom.
-
And the courtroom has God Almighty as the judge. It has Jesus,
-
the advocate, who is your defense attorney.
-
And it has Satan who is over here coming at you. And the Bible says that he
-
is persecuting the believers day in and day out.
-
Accusing you day in and day out. And if you have committed sin and you don't
-
report to the courtroom to confess your sin to the judge, then the judge finds you guilty.
-
Don't raise your hand. You ever had a warrant you didn't respond to?
-
If not, try it. And see where you end up. in a court of law facing a judge with
-
somebody accusing you and you better have an advocate.
-
Daniel says it's set up like a courtroom. And so when you never come into court
-
to confess what you've done, then the case stays open.
-
And if the case is open, it's an open door for the adversary to have a legal
-
right to jack your life up.
-
And he can mess this up and mess that up. Why? Because he's got a legal right
-
and he's always going to do more than the way he came in.
-
And so we have to confess our sins. Why? So that the advocate for us can say,
-
I forgive you and let the blood flow and the gavel of God come down and say,
-
deliver. And Satan gets more angry.
-
There are keys to the kingdom, weapons for our warfare.
-
But if we never confess, then we wonder why we can't move past this and can't
-
move past that. I never confess my sins.
-
I only said, Lord, forgive me. Lord, you know, Lord, you know, ain't in the Bible.
-
It don't work. Lord, you know, don't don't work. Yeah, I do know.
-
I know you need to confess so we can be right aligned so I can get you back
-
into how you need to be living in me.
-
Get these hindrances removed and get this broken fellowship restored now we
-
can get into your promise and we thought somebody else was the problem.
-
The Lord is saying true life, sanctify yourselves, confess your sins,
-
your position, holy, your position, righteously.
-
However, there still must be the pressing into confession.
-
There must be repentance, which leads into reflecting Jesus's nature and character and maturity.
-
Verse four, verse five, verse six, verse eight are all instructions that were
-
then given because they needed a leader to get them into the next place.
-
He's not just your pastor. He's your apostolic leader to get you into places
-
you never could get into if you didn't have the leadership.
-
Church ain't a place that I just come to to hear a word and feel good about myself.
-
It's a place where I come and get trained and equipped and get aligned with
-
the presence and the spirit of God and the voice of God so I can begin walking
-
out everything that God is saying by the strategies, the intel,
-
the insight, the intelligence that God has given me that will turn cities or
-
regions that will turn families, your child's bedroom that's really an apartment
-
upstairs in your house upside down.
-
Verse nine, Joshua said to the Israelites, to all the people, come near.
-
Hear the words of the Lord. You can celebrate because you have a leader.
-
You have leaders who hear the word of the Lord.
-
And Joshua said, hereby, you shall know that the living God is among us.
-
I love this. And he will surely drive out from before you the Canaanites,
-
the Hittites, the Hivites, the Perizzites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, and Jebusites.
-
God's up to something in your life. Well, Apostle Terrell, that don't make a whole lot of sense to me.
-
Well, all these ites represent what's called in cultural the seven mountains.
-
Arts and entertainment, education, family, media, religion, business,
-
government. Those are the seven mountains.
-
And those seven mountains are what is creating the problems and the challenges in your life.
-
Arts are messing you up because you think, oh, it's just a movie.
-
It ain't a movie. It's filled with demonic symbols that are making their way into your house.
-
Oh, it's just entertainment. It's just Beyonce. I say, she's a witch.
-
Did you know one of the lowest nights of Bible study in Charlotte in recent
-
years was the Wednesday that she came to town?
-
I done told you, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh. Uh-huh.
-
Because sometimes we're more ethnic than we are Christian.
-
Sometimes we're more ethnic than we are Christian,
-
Oh that's my girl Your girl is practicing demonology.
-
I'm going to leave that alone, because I'd love to come back in a couple years.
-
But all these ites were enemies of God.
-
You've got enemies, and the man of God wants you to know, hereby you shall know
-
that the living God is among you.
-
Listen, and he will surely drive out from before you the ites,
-
your bloodline, what mom and them didn't deal with, what didn't get destroyed,
-
what didn't get rooted out, what didn't get overcome, what didn't get overtaken by the power of God.
-
God is saying my grace is coming now because I've got to get you into your promise.
-
I've got to get you into another view of me and I'm coming after every ite that's bothering you.
-
I'm coming after every high thing that is exalting itself against the knowledge of God in your life.
-
I'm coming after everything that's keeping you from being the mother,
-
the father, the child that you're supposed to be.
-
There ain't an ite that exists that I'm not really ready to pull down in your
-
life if you're ready to cross over.
-
And somebody's got to say, God, I'm tired of being at the Jordan lodging and
-
not getting into what you've got for me. God, kill the ice.
-
Destroy the ice. Go ye therefore. Make a mockery out of the ice, God.
-
Whatever's holding my bloodline, whatever held me back for all these other years,
-
whatever got me addicted to this and addicted to that, whatever threw me off,
-
God, deal with it like you said you would in your word.
-
Somebody shout to the Lord.
-
You got to be tired Even sick and tired Of things that are destroying your destiny
-
Some knowingly and some unknowingly,
-
If I was a Baptist preacher I'd hoop you out right now But I'm not So I'm going
-
to kindly ask you to sit down I.
-
Because that'd be a good place to just take the house, wouldn't it?
-
And everybody shout and not know nothing when it's over.
-
Hear me. The Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, he says in verse 11,
-
you got to internalize this for you. God's wanting to take you somewhere.
-
The Ark of the Covenant of the Lord of all the earth is passing over before you into the Jordan.
-
It's past the spirit of god is passing
-
over before me and it's not on the bank like i am it's getting into where i'm
-
supposed to be going it's not just looking at it god's going by his spirit into
-
where he's taking you so that when you get there the first place you encounter will be God.
-
He's sitting down in your promise. He's sitting down in the space that he's calling you to occupy.
-
He's sitting down at the table that you're supposed to be at,
-
but nobody thinks you're qualified for it, but God's going to work a miracle
-
on your behalf and open a door that nobody will ever be able to shut on you
-
and take you in to conversations where you will carry an apostolic kingdom mind
-
and bring shiftings to your company.
-
You're not there just to be there. you're the antidote you're the solution they
-
might not know it yet but I tell you now the Lord's getting ready to pull back
-
the covers and while this is a season of exposure is a season of good exposure
-
as well you're ready to be exposed.
-
So Joshua keeps giving instructions. We OK? I know your stomach's rubbing. I can hear it.
-
So now he says, take 12 men from the tribes of Israel, one from each tribe. Hear this.
-
I'm going to take I'm going to take a liberty, Pastor. I believe in modern day
-
teaching, this is to be recognized as the heads of households.
-
He says verse 13 when the souls of
-
the feet of the priests we are new testament priests you
-
are the head of your household some of you are when
-
the souls of the feet of the priests who bear the presence of god of all the
-
earth shall rest in the jordan soon as you step into where you've got to start
-
going the waters of the jordan coming down from above shall be cut off and they shall stand in one heap.
-
What is one heap? It means this is what's happening. He says,
-
when you step in the waters, the avalanche of what has been blocking you and
-
stopping you is gonna stop right where it is and it's gonna raise up.
-
It's gonna be a large amount of adversarial combativeness. It's gonna be a large
-
amount of things that have tried to steal, kill, and destroy your destiny.
-
It's gonna be a large amount of things that have been heaped up that are right
-
there where you are. But hear this, those things are not going to work against you.
-
They're going to work for you because God is saying, you saw the scripture.
-
I'm cutting some things off that have kept you from crossing.
-
Drop that number out of your phone right now because I'm cutting off some things
-
that are keeping you from crossing.
-
Well, I don't feel like I need to tie. I'm cutting off some things that will
-
keep you from crossing. Well, I think it's okay to watch this.
-
I'm cutting off some things that have been keeping you from crossing.
-
It's time to look for and expect miracles in your home and miracles in your
-
life and miracles in your business. Why?
-
Because God's cutting off what's been blocking the breakthrough.
-
Somebody hear what the Spirit is saying up in this house.
-
Verse 14. So when the people set out from their tents, tell somebody, you got a tent.
-
So when the people set out from their tents to do what?
-
To pass over the Jordan. Hear me.
-
God wants you out of what you're in so you can pass into what he's got for you.
-
Come out of your tent. Come out of hiding.
-
Come out of fear. Come out of shame. Come out of doubt. Come out of insecurity.
-
Come out of hopelessness. Come out of victimization. Come out of the things
-
that you have been living under.
-
He says, so when the people set out from their tents to pass over the Jordan,
-
the priest bearing the Ark of the Covenant before the people, that's what they see.
-
When I come out of my tent, I see God.
-
It's hard to see God when I'm focused on what has to be weighed down in my tent.
-
My tent can be a dangerous place because I can get in my tent and get isolated.
-
I can get in my tent and do what I want to do and nobody even know that I'm doing it.
-
I can get in my tent and I don't have to talk to anybody. I can do business
-
the way I want to do it and show up to church with a huck buck.
-
Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. And a tongue.
-
Because I'm hiding out in my tent. And the Lord is saying the people have got
-
you got to set out from your tent.
-
That's why as apostolic believers, and she said it when she came up here,
-
you are people who live going.
-
You are people who live sent. You are people who live going into things to make them look like Jesus.
-
That's the whole business behind the apostolic. It's about going into a region
-
that doesn't look like God like the chief apostle Jesus did and turning what
-
doesn't look like God into heaven.
-
That's what Adam and Eve were there for, was to make the entire earth look like heaven.
-
But they got sidetracked and then Adam hides in a tent with a fig leaf and doesn't
-
get honest about God and blames it on his wife. Adam come out of your tent.
-
We got business to do. You don't have to lie to me.
-
The ark is the presence of the Lord here in this house.
-
And the Lord said to me, it's time to activate the spirit of the Lord in a new
-
way here as this ministry is passing from one dimension into another.
-
It's all over you, sir. It's all in you, sir.
-
It's boiling inside of you. And I'm declaring clarity to know how to articulate
-
it, clarity to know how to lead in it, clarity to know how to do it.
-
And I'm saying to the people of God of this house, I'm declaring the spirit
-
of understanding as an anointing that all of you are able to move with the man
-
of God as he begins to bring you into a greater level of destiny and purpose and calling.
-
Because you have not just come here to be good little church boys and church girls.
-
You've come here to be kingdom ambassadors.
-
You've come here to upset the rule of the world.
-
You have come here to be something that has never been seen before.
-
You are the interruption in your bloodline. You're the only one that God can
-
trust right now in the bloodline to bring to pass what he ordained the bloodline to be.
-
Your bloodline had an assignment, but everybody got sidetracked.
-
But whoa, look at you in the house of God, worshiping God in spirit and in truth.
-
Not because you know where the church is, but because there's something you're
-
supposed to do that nobody else would do.
-
And when those, I got two more sprishes.
-
And when those who bore the sky, I mean who bore the ark, and when those who
-
bore the ark say, I'm carrying the presence of God.
-
Now I want you to say it like you believe it. Say, I'm carrying the presence of God.
-
Say it like a devil needs to know it. I'm carrying the presence of God now.
-
And when those who bore the ark, who realized what they were carrying,
-
when they came to the Jordan and the feet of the priests bearing the ark were
-
in the brink of the water for the Jordan overflows all its banks throughout the time of harvest.
-
Then the waters which came down from above stood and rose up in a heath far
-
off at Adam, the city that is Zarethan, and those flowing down toward the Sea
-
of Araba, the salt dead sea, were wholly cut off.
-
And the people passed over opposite the Jericho.
-
Didn't come to church to stay in the same condition I'm in.
-
I didn't come to church to act like my unsaved family members.
-
I didn't come to church to be like everybody else that's walking around doing their own thing.
-
No, I came because there's land I'm supposed to take, territory I'm supposed
-
to take, things I'm supposed to step into,
-
ingenuity I'm supposed to carry, industry that I'm supposed to be walking in
-
that nobody else has ever walked in, witty inventions that nobody's ever seen,
-
creative things that haven't manifested yet.
-
I didn't come into the body of Christ just to be another believer.
-
I came in to be a point of difference.
-
I'm not trying to be better. I'm trying to be a difference.
-
Hear me heads of households. If you're a head of household, I want you to stand.
-
If you're a head of household, I want you to stand.
-
Heads of households, the Lord says in this season God is requiring of you to
-
deal with whatever is in your tent.
-
Deal with whatever is in your tent. I mean, he's telling you to run to it, not run away from it.
-
It's amazing how things can just
-
stay and just be there and nobody say anything or do anything about it.
-
There's an anointing on your life in this season, David, not to run from the giant, but to run to it.
-
We don't see David running from the giant. We see David running to it.
-
I train people to run to problems don't run away from problems,
-
I've always told my two sons the people who make the most money in the world
-
are the people who solve problems People think that people who do the most work
-
are the ones that solve problems should make the most money No,
-
it's the people that that solve the problems,
-
Or who is being looked to Confront the Jordans in your life.
-
Even if they're at flood stage level Just because they overtook mom and them
-
don't mean they're going to overtake you Just because they wipe somebody else
-
out doesn't mean they're going to wipe out you this is me this time.
-
I ain't nobody else that's ever been. I'm what they're going to want to be when
-
they read about me in my own epistle, in my bloodline. I'm talking up here.
-
God is going to grace you to wholly cut off some generational sin areas,
-
adjutants, bends, proclivities, and iniquities that have been holding the whole bloodline back.
-
Hear what the Spirit is saying to this house.
-
Leaders in this ministry and heads of households i
-
heard the lord clearly say it's time to stir up the spirit of
-
the lord in the life of this ministry and in your life to another
-
level by the greater activation of the spirit of
-
the lord this community is going to pass over into things
-
that is going to be saying that eyes have not seen ears have not heard nor they
-
entered into the hearts of man what's coming out of this ministry and not only
-
this ministry what's coming out of the people sheba is going to be more impressed
-
with you than she is with solomon,
-
because of what solomon has built you up into and trained you and to be in the
-
marketplace what i'm training you up to be in life i ain't training you up to
-
be good little church goers i ain't training you up to learn all the church
-
antics i'm training you up to give hell, hell.
-
Got time to keep doing church and getting nowhere fast.
-
Somewhere we believe that church is going to change the world,
-
that preaching rather is going to change the world. If it was going to, it would have already.
-
What's going to change the world are men and women who take up their rightful
-
place in the kingdom of God and begin to live as ecclesias realizing I'm a government
-
person. I carry government in me.
-
For unto us a child was born, a son is given and the government shall be upon
-
his shoulders. That ain't a Christmas card.
-
That's a declaration of who we are as believers that we carry government in
-
us and whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever we loose on
-
earth is loosed in heaven. That's my governmental authority.
-
So I look for stuff that needs to be realigned.
-
And while all Israel passed over on dry ground, the priests who bore the ark
-
of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan.
-
God is calling you to make watered places dry.
-
To resurrect things from what they've been into what He wants them to be that
-
you and those who are with you would be able to stand in them and begin to proclaim,
-
decree, declare, manifest, clear out, set up,
-
build territory for the Lord God Almighty.
-
That's the kingdom of God. He goes on and says, they stood firm on dry ground
-
in the midst of the Jordan until all the nation finished passing over Jordan.
-
There are people who are depending on you to get in your place so they can pass over.
-
There's a neighbor somewhere in your community it's depending
-
on you to get in your place of understanding who
-
you are in the kingdom of God and the economy of God that they and their family
-
can be rescued healed delivered strengthened poured to bought into a house like
-
this where men and women get to experience a true leader a true woman of God
-
true believers as you are and have their entire lives changed. That's what we do.
-
God wants this whole community passing over, not just a few.
-
We've made church about a few when it's really the ministry of all the saints.
-
I skip verse 4, 5, 6, 8 through 17. I told you to study, read,
-
and look at. Then there's verse 7.
-
Devon and Stacey, can you stand? and can I have some piano so they believe we're going to leave.
-
Key word there was believe.
-
Can you take it down just a little bit just a little bit,
-
in verse 7 I skipped over that and wanted to bring it for the end and I believe
-
with every single thing inside of me I wouldn't be here I haven't been in Life
-
Center pulpit in probably six weeks.
-
And all I did today was leave my video. Said I'm at your house.
-
And I wouldn't be here on a Sunday like this. I've canceled one engagement,
-
but I said, Lord, I can't cancel this one because I know what's going on in here.
-
Whether the house can realize it or not or sense it or not, those aren't empty
-
seats. Those are opportunities.
-
The Lord said to Joshua, the Lord said to Devon and Stacey, this day,
-
I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel.
-
God said I'm going to raise you up in front of the church. Not just this church but in the church.
-
You've been a loyal and faithful woman. You've been a loyal and faithful man.
-
You have pushed through things that you can't even talk about and describe but
-
you've stayed steadfast both of you immovable and always aboundly.
-
And you have refused to get on some of the church bandwagons that are out there
-
where people are more concerned with how many butts they can get in the seats,
-
instead of working a shit amount of people,
-
so they can live their lives full of
-
power and anointing and glory and be everything God's called them to be.
-
And the Lord says, this day I will begin to magnify you.
-
This day I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel so they will
-
know that just as I was with Moses, just as I was with other leaders, I'm with you.
-
House recognize God's with him.
-
See, the church is dealing in mega mentalities to prove the worth of a preacher.
-
I built a mega ministry to 13,000 people. I did that. $20 million building. I did all that.
-
And most of the people couldn't bust a grape in a food fight.
-
No power. A lot of knowledge, but no real power.
-
And the kingdom of God is not in words. It's in power. It's in demonstration.
-
And now I have far less people who carry enough dunamis in them,
-
to turn a city upside down, to turn a region upside down, to bring change wherever
-
they go, wherever the soles of their feet touch, they bring life to people.
-
Stop. The new mega in God is not numbers of people. It's level of spirit.
-
Everybody's out here trying to build a mega church. For what?
-
Most mega churches, I don't know who's streaming.
-
You might have some preachers on there streaming and they may not like me, that's okay.
-
Pray for me till I get healed.
-
But megachurches for the most part, the only thing they're changing are traffic
-
patterns in front of their buildings on Sunday mornings.
-
Show me where a megachurch has flipped the city upside down,
-
including the one that I built.
-
We don't do it because mostly what we are doing is managing the movement of
-
people instead of building people.
-
And God told me, he said, Murphy, you know how to build the crowd,
-
but you don't know how to build people.
-
And I'm going to cut you back. And God took me back all the way down,
-
transitioned me out of that ministry.
-
We went to Alderkell High School, cut our ministry down to 67 people one morning.
-
67 people. 67 people. That was like my ministry core.
-
67 people. And then he said, now we can get started.
-
But on the day one of that, because people were still addicted to mega and mega
-
was still all over me. on the first meeting of the second ministry I started
-
there were like 1100 1200 people on the first day so the Lord cut that down from 1200 to 67,
-
And then he showed me where Jesus lost 280 people, 380 people in a 40-day period.
-
He ministered to 500 after he was resurrected. That 500 became 120 in the upper room.
-
Most pastors would have clocked out if they lost 380 people in 40 days.
-
And he said, you're on the right path because you're following the pattern of
-
the word of God. It ain't in numbers.
-
It ain't in buildings. It's in the glory that is in the people of God.
-
And you stay connected right here.
-
You're going to see the glory of God begin to manifest on your life in new and
-
excellent and more powerful ways if you'll plug in and so he says to him as
-
I was with Moses I'll be with you,
-
for the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan this is Joshua 4 23
-
and for you until you passed over as the Lord your God did so to the Red Sea
-
please stand up which he dried up until we passed over.
-
What does God want to do here? God wants to make this a house of testimony of
-
his presence and his power.
-
And God's going to give you the ways to do it. Just everyone stretch your hands
-
towards your leadership.
-
And you just pray your own prayer. He's going to give it to them.
-
He's going to give them the way to manifest the presence and power here beyond
-
what's already happening here.
-
He's going to do it because he has chosen and called you both and set you apart.
-
But such a time as this is the work and the hand of the Lord that is moving mightily.
-
Two things the Lord wants coming out of here. Number one, that all the people
-
of the earth will know that the hand of the Lord is mighty.
-
Pray that toward them that God, they would not be ever caught up in themselves,
-
but they would be caught up in the fact that they have the opportunity to show
-
the mighty hand of God along with all of us.
-
We all are showing the mighty hand of God.
-
And number two, that you may reverence and fear the Lord your God forever.
-
God wants to establish a new house and a new people here. Not because you're a bad people.
-
Not because it's a bad house.
-
But there are things that God's
-
placed in the two of you and things God's placed into this membership.
-
That he does not want it to fall to the ground.
-
Things inside of you that you cannot afford to let go to waste because legacy
-
group, you're caught up in church.
-
God says, I don't want you caught up in church. I want you caught up in me to
-
bring things to pass that have never happened before.
-
And Father, we declare in the name of Jesus, every word is yes and amen.
-
And it shall be done for the glory of your great name. If you believe that,
-
give the Lord a wonderful and awesome hand to pray. Amen and amen.
