  4. mercies which sent you to us. Oh, Christ the light of the

  5. world and the life of all give us wisdom by a law and Enlighten

  6. our impulses, by your knowledge, sanctify, ourselves by your

  7. truth, and Grant that we may be obedient to your words and may

  8. fulfill your Commandments at every hour.

  9. Oh, you who enlightens the rationale with the knowledge of

  10. your greatness do in light or my Lord are thoughts that we made?

  11. Meditate upon your holy and divine scriptures at all times

  12. O, Lord of all Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  13. Double-edged sword. It Christian podcast Ministry

  14. presented by father, jonard Lazar, father.

  15. Jernard is a parish priest of the mud of the Parish of a

  16. Serene Church of the east in Turlock.

  17. California. Here's father, jernard.

  18. Show me in the Bible. Where does it say in the Bible?

  19. Show me in the scriptures is a demand.

  20. I receive many times when I'm engaging in peaceful, loving

  21. conversation, scriptural conversation or biblical

  22. conversation with my Christian brothers and sisters.

  23. And as much as that is a very valid demand that our ultimate

  24. source is the holy scriptures Sola scriptura which I like I

  25. admire solar scripture but we have to be genuine and honest to

  26. Sola scriptura in. And I always say it's not about

  27. how I feel what the scripture is teaching and telling us and

  28. commanding us not how I I feel how I perceive it because that

  29. is not faith. Faith is being obedient to God,

  30. faith is loving God, and worshiping, God, and being

  31. obedient to God, as I mentioned, the last episode.

  32. So this, this episode is going to be out, Sola scriptura

  33. episode on the understanding of deeds.

  34. And there is sensuality in Salvation.

  35. And in the pleasing, or Probably appeasing of the Lord and for

  36. the test of our faith in our judgment when the Lord returns.

  37. So let me start by quoting. Luke chapter 6, verses 3043 244

    Luke 6 chapter mention

  38. and, you know, I encourage you to jot these down.

  39. I mean, I know this episode will be therefore whenever you come

  40. back and revisit it in 10 years time, God willing.

  41. But if you want to have these verses handy, I recommend that.

  42. So, let's look at Luke. Chapter 6, verses 43 to 44.

    Luke 6:43–44

  43. And this is what Jesus is instructing.

  44. And this is what Jesus is teaching.

  45. There is no good tree that bears.

  46. Bad fruits, Deeds Works acts fruits all associated with each

  47. other nor a bad tree that bears. Good fruits for every tree is

  48. known by its fruit. What it produces, which is what

  49. Jesus telling us. So when you stand before a tree,

  50. an apple tree or not enge, tree or Tooth, Fairy language.

  51. Strawberry. I think to fighting it, you'll

  52. get the tree and when you see that the tree, some of the

  53. branches are bending over almost breaking because of the fruit

  54. that it's yield. You think this is a good tree.

  55. But when you see a tree just like Jesus, did the Sycamore, a

  56. only so leaves on the tree, you think?

  57. No, this is not a healthy tree or this year.

  58. This tree has let me down by its fruit so you pass that judgment.

  59. On that tree because of what you see, the tree has, whether

  60. produced or not produced in Matthew 16:27.

    Matthew 16:27

  61. Again, Jesus. The true Son of God.

  62. Our Lord, our King, Our Savior, a life-giver and the forgiver of

  63. our sins. Our ultimate judge the righteous

  64. judge who does not show any past reality commands and teachers

  65. for the Son of man. And this is a warning actually

  66. for the son of man is to come in the glory of his father.

  67. With all his Holy Angels, it's talking about the second coming

  68. and then we'll he recompense. That means reward or repay to

  69. every man as his deeds are doesn't even mention faith.

  70. Not that faith is not required. That is the the first of, you

  71. know, it's the, it's the Pinnacle.

  72. It's the first proof of our A ship with, Jesus Christ, Faith.

  73. But Jesus says that, when he returns, he will repay

  74. recompense to every man, as he's Deeds are as his works are.

  75. So if works are not essential and irrelevant, well, Jesus is

  76. telling me that I'm going to be judged by something, or I'm

  77. going to be recompensed by something that is irrelevant,

  78. no. Not according to the scriptures

  79. and again Sola scriptura only from the scriptures.

  80. Let's go to James chapter 2, verses 17 to 18.

    James 2:17–18

  81. James is is relating faith and deeds.

  82. And we're going to talk about faith in another episode because

  83. I know there's going to be a lot of works by faith.

  84. You have been justified by faith.

  85. You have been saved. We're going to talk about bait

  86. by but we're going to talk about faith.

  87. Let's concentrate on to these because these are important as

  88. well. They go hand-in-hand faith

  89. alone. Not just faith.

  90. Faith alone without works is dead.

  91. Meaning, there will be no recompense for dead dead faith.

  92. When there is no Deeds, there will be no recompensing, there

  93. will be no reward because there is no Deeds for a man may say

  94. you have faith and I have Works show to me, your faith.

  95. That is without works, and I will show to you my faith, by my

  96. works. I can feel the Vibes.

  97. I can feel the questions. Echoing, what about Hebrews 11?

  98. What about Hebrews 11? Yes, we're going to talk about

  99. that but let me quote Hebrews 11:4 by faith.

    Hebrews 11:4

  100. Now, Saint Paul here emphasizes Deeds that are not done through

  101. faith. Are just ordinary just habits

  102. and you know you know do not appease God are not justified by

  103. faith Abel. Offered to God.

  104. So he did something his faith Drew Abel brought able to a

  105. place where he did something and this is his deed offered to God

  106. a better sacrifice than that of Cain by faith Abel offered to

  107. God, a better sacrifice than that of Cain and on account of

  108. it. Now, some may say, no, that's on

  109. account of the faith. Let's not jump the gun.

  110. It's take it. Easy.

  111. And on account of the it he is testified of that.

  112. He was righteous. You may say see yes

  113. righteousness through faith and God bore testimony to his

  114. offering. So talking about what he

  115. actually did, how he proved his faith, how he emphasized, his

  116. faith through what he did. Let me read it again by faith

  117. Abel offered to God, a better sacrifice.

  118. Other than that of Cain and on account of it, he is testified

  119. of that. He was righteous and God bore

  120. testimony to his offering. And in consequence therefore

  121. though dead yet, he speaks not that able speaks but to this

  122. day, he is famous. And he is celebrated and enjoys

  123. a good name. Among all the religious people

  124. when we talk about Abel. Now flicker Bibles or scroll up

  125. or Google Revelations 14:13 and this verse I came across two

    Revelation 14:13

  126. weeks ago, so it's two weeks knew in my mind.

  127. And I Heard a Voice from Heaven saying, this is the voice of

  128. Jesus Christ. Right.

  129. It's a commandment right? Or take account or make note,

  130. blessed are the Dead who die in the Lord from henceforth from

  131. now. Yes, says the spirit that they

  132. may rest from their labors, their deeds, their works for

  133. their Works, will follow them where they will follow them at

  134. the righteous tribute tribunal of Jesus Christ.

  135. And hence, Paul in 1 Corinthians states that we will all be

  136. judged according to our faith and deeds whether evil or good.

  137. Let's have a look. At one of the many renowned

  138. Parables of Jesus Christ. Praise and glory be to his name.

  139. And it's in Matthew 21. We're going to pick it up from

  140. verse 28, a certain man had two sons and he called the first and

  141. said to him, my son go work today in the vineyard, which is

  142. the church, which is the world work today.

  143. We've all been called to work to produce, good fruits, good

  144. deeds. But he answered and said, I do

  145. not want to but afterwards, he was moved with Wet.

  146. And he went, we're going to read a commentary on one of the

  147. father's on this, then he came to the other and said to him

  148. likewise. But he answered and said, I will

  149. my Lord. He showed love through his faith

  150. in his Lord, but he did not go. He didn't do anything, which one

  151. of these two did, the will of the his father.

  152. They were saying to him, the first Jesus said to them.

  153. Amen. I mean, it's true.

  154. I say to that. Tax collectors and prostitutes

  155. proceed proceed you to the kingdom of God, Tax Collectors,

  156. or and prostitutes who have repented from their evil and are

  157. not now are producing Good. Deeds proceed you to the kingdom

  158. of God for John, came to you in the way of righteousness and you

  159. did not trust him, but tax collectors and prostitutes

  160. trusted him, and even when you saw it, you are not moved with

  161. great or with regret. Words to trust him, the Blessed

  162. theophil Act. Who is a?

  163. One of the church fathers who comments on this, he writes, he

  164. introduces two types of men. One type of those who promised

  165. from the beginning, such as were the Jews.

  166. Who said All which God spoke we will do and we will obey.

  167. Exodus 24:3 do and Obey, not just accept and love and believe

    Exodus 24:3

  168. in but obey and do the. Other type are those who

  169. disobeyed such are the publicans, and the harlots, but

  170. also the people of the Gentiles who from the beginning were not

  171. obedient to the will of God. But later they repented and He'd

  172. so, he's talking about doing he justified a commanded, the suck,

  173. the first son, who at first was not faithful, but then he did,

  174. he repented or he changed his mind.

  175. Basically, and did the request of the father?

  176. Matthew 7:24, everyone. Therefore And this is the

    Matthew 7:24

  177. parable of the two men who built the houses, everyone therefore

  178. who hears these words of mine and does them puts them in

  179. practice, fulfills them, we're going to have a look at some

  180. Works everyone. Therefore who hears these words

  181. of mine and does them will be likened to the wise man who

  182. built his house on Solid Rock built.

  183. You know, the verse is is so so evident of doing things.

  184. No being active building, working obeying going at oiling.

  185. So Deeds again are not just mere acts of love to the Lord, but

  186. have no value or no significance.

  187. When we Face the righteous Judgment of God, which pertains

  188. to Salvation. Let's look at some works.

  189. That Christ has called us to, as Christians prayer.

  190. Fasting. Arms giving.

  191. Loving to love to serve to witness about Jesus Christ.

  192. These are actual Deeds that we must fulfill.

  193. This is how we work in the vineyard in the church.

  194. In the world. To continue to pray and have

  195. that communication with God to enter that presence of the Lord,

  196. not only for ourselves but for others as well fasting

  197. almsgiving help the poor the needy to love thy neighbor to

  198. serve in the church to serve Jesus Christ.

  199. And to witness. However, however, we must know

  200. this, we must examine in, what Manner or motive or reason we

  201. are fulfilling these Deeds or Our obligation Christian

  202. obligations in Matthew chapter 27, verse 23.

    Matthew 27:23

  203. Jesus said to those who preached his name, who were casting out

  204. demons, who had a relationship with Jesus Christ?

  205. He says, I do not know you away from me workers of evil because

  206. their motives the manner that they were fulfilling their

  207. responsibilities. And the reason why they were

  208. preaching and you know, and healing was not appeasing to

  209. God, probably boastful maybe for self-gain.

  210. Praying, not to be seen and not repetitive repetitively.

  211. Matthew chapter 6, verses five, and six fasting without

    Matthew 6 chapter mention

  212. grumbling, without being gloomy. Without boasting about our fast,

  213. Matthew 6:16 Loving. Let Not Your Love.

    Matthew 6:16

  214. Be deceitful, says Romans 12:19 to serve, not forcefully, but

    Romans 12:19

  215. with trembling, with joy, with fear, with gladness to serve the

  216. Lord, some hundred verse 2 and some 2 verses 11 to 12 to

  217. witness and to proclaim the message of the gospels.

  218. And of Jesus Christ, not heretical and Falls, but in

  219. spirit and in truth, the deed of loving the Lord, we must not

  220. love the God because he will do something in return beloved, but

  221. rather for what he has done for us through his son, his beloved

  222. Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ and also because he is Lord, praise

  223. be to his name. You see, among the woman who

  224. came to the tomb of Christ, on the third day, they were

  225. anticipating to see a dead body. They were anticipating to find a

  226. body that was Still, that was actionless that could not do

  227. anything for them, but that body when it was alive while they

  228. saw, and they experienced turn their lives around.

  229. So this is the love that they had for the Lord Jesus Christ.

  230. They didn't come to embalm his body and bringing the the

  231. instance. So that Jesus would do something

  232. in their minds. It's a dead body at that body

  233. cannot do anything, but we know that Jesus is alive, but it was

  234. the True love and respect and obedience that they had for the

  235. Lord. So let's not love the Lord

  236. because we expect something. Let's love the Lord because he

  237. did something exceptional through his son.

  238. Our Lord Jesus Christ. So my beloved faithful Christian

  239. brothers and sisters. If faithful Christians committed

  240. Christians Born Again Christians.

  241. We are to be good. We are to do good and prepare

  242. ourselves for the day of judgment, where we will be

  243. judged, according to our Deeds, whether evil or good.

  244. Will we pass the test? Praise and glory, be to the name

  245. of the righteous judge. Jesus Christ, Our Lord now in at

  246. all times in Forever, One last thing.
