  1. In the name of the Glorious Trinity.

  2. Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  3. Amen. Glory be to the Everlasting

  4. mercies which sent you to us. Oh, Christ the light of the

  5. world and the life of all give us wisdom by a law and Enlighten

  6. our impulses, by your knowledge, sanctify, ourselves by your

  7. truth, and Grant that we may be obedient to your words and may

  8. fulfill your Commandments at every hour.

  9. Oh, you who enlightens the rationale with the knowledge of

  10. your greatness do in light or my Lord are thoughts that we made?

  11. Meditate upon your holy and divine scriptures at all times

  12. O, Lord of all Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  13. A blessed rotation of the ninevites to you all my dear

  14. brothers and sisters, but aborted nanwalek alone.

  15. Those who have called a fast upon themselves.

  16. During this time, remembering the fast that our forefathers,

  17. the ninevites offered to God in the city of Nineveh, according

  18. to the Book of Jonah in the Old Testament, those who haven't?

  19. It's never too late to to call the fast upon yourselves to

  20. Offer that fast in prayer and supplication.

  21. So that our sins and transgressions are shortfalls,

  22. that have risen to the throne of God.

  23. And of displaced, him will be forgiven and that God will have

  24. mercy upon us as he did to the ninevites.

  25. I'm not going to talk much about the rotation, but I'm going to

  26. talk about the main point of the rotation, which is the

  27. repentance that the donor B offered that repentance, that

  28. was pleasing to God, that repentance that turned or

  29. changed or altered God's decision.

  30. Of destructing Nineveh. To a decision of preserving it

  31. and showing mercy upon it. So the significance of a

  32. rotation or any period of fasting be at the rotation, be

  33. it, any fasting of the, Holy Saints of the church or the

  34. 50-day. Great lent the significance.

  35. And the key factor is repentance.

  36. I'm going to talk about what is repentance or repenting from

  37. what we're going to talk about. How do we know what we need to

  38. repent from. And obviously how do we repent

  39. and why must we repent and put great emphasis on the act of a

  40. repentance Well, to repent, is basically to turn away to do a

  41. 180 degree turn. Beloved, I have the 4d's of

  42. repentance in our life, in Christ, as Christians, in our

  43. walk with Christ, in our claim to be Christians, in this world.

  44. Meaning we belong to Christ. We must repent from what is

  45. displeasing to God. What is despising to God?

  46. What is disappointing to God? And what is Disobedience to God?

  47. The 40s? Father, John adds four days of

  48. repentance. Why?

  49. We'll simply because we are his creation.

  50. And if we stop there, we cause ourselves to shortfall of the

  51. greatest gift and told her that we have received.

  52. We are not only his mere creation but we are made in His

  53. image and his likeness, we are God's with a small G and we are

  54. his children beloved through our faith in Jesus Christ and a

  55. baptism, according to Galatians 3:26, 27.

    Galatians 3:26

  56. The question arises and many have asked me this question and

  57. I asked myself sometimes everywhere every Christian

  58. should ask him or herself this question.

  59. How do I know if I need to repent from either one of the

  60. four D's or all of the 4d's? Again, this pleasing to God.

  61. Despising to God, what is disappointing to God?

  62. What is this obedient to God? Well, let me be a politician, I

  63. always mention this. Is and answer a question with a

  64. question. How do you know when it is time

  65. to pay your physician? Your family doctor, a visit?

  66. How do you know Well yes, the symptoms obviously, when you

  67. start getting these symptoms, you know, that it and as they as

  68. they become more aggressive and there's a good progress and

  69. become more intense. Then you make a decision to see

  70. or pay your physician, a visit. A few weeks ago, I had chest

  71. pains for over two weeks and I didn't decide to go to the

  72. physician until I could hardly breathe.

  73. And that's when my wife said, I think it's time for you two to

  74. go and pay your physician a visit better.

  75. Still, let me ask you this question.

  76. How does the physician or the doctor?

  77. Know what's wrong with you? How to diagnose you what to give

  78. you what to prescribe? You.

  79. Yes by examining you when he examines you physically,

  80. mentally verbally, what comes out of your mouth.

  81. When you tell your doctor your physician, what your pain and

  82. you're struggling in your symptoms are then examining new

  83. physically, then the doctor will most probably, and nine out of

  84. 10 times prescribe. Medication goes without fail

  85. medication. So, the key word is examination

  86. st. Paul writes to the Corinthians

  87. in his Second Epistle, 3:15, examine yourselves.

  88. This is now not a physical examination.

  89. This is a spiritual examination. So, after that, how do I know

  90. that I need to repent? How do I know that I possess the

  91. four DS? Or they may be 15 days?

  92. That are displeasing. God is to examine yourself, and

  93. Paul goes on to say, and see if you stand in faith above all the

  94. first and foremost, it's faith. Self examination of your faith.

  95. An introspection of your faith, a study on, you know, your your

  96. qualities in the faith, your thoughts in your faith, your

  97. conduct in the faith, your motives in your faith.

  98. So st. Paul instructs, that we need to

  99. examine to see if we are standing in faith and what is

  100. Faith? According to Hebrews 11:1, faith

    Hebrews 11:1

  101. is the conviction or the persuasion concern.

  102. Those things that are in Hope as if it were, these things are in

  103. action. So, hoping for what, for

  104. something, that, as though it has happened.

  105. So when we hope for the Kingdom of Heaven, the Eternal Bliss,

  106. the kingdom of God, when we hope for it, it's not one of those

  107. wishful thinking. It's a hope that is assured that

  108. it will happen, it is ready for you.

  109. And I, and the revelation of those things that are Are unseen

  110. but also we can add to that. That faith is also a b d instead

  111. to God which Intel's love trust respect, Etc.

  112. Why? Because Jesus commands, in John

    John 14:15

  113. 14:15, if you love me, that means you believe in me.

  114. You have accepted me. You witness for me.

  115. You Proclaim my name, you sing your Christian songs.

  116. You Raise Your Hands In Worship and love the Lord.

  117. If you love me, keep my Commandments.

  118. There's a bead Ian's, keep my Commandments do as I have.

  119. And did you, as I have instructed, you why?

  120. Because it is by our Deeds, our faith is made perfect according

  121. to James chapter 2, verse 22, that is by our obedience to God,

    James 2:22

  122. our faith is perfected or Justified.

  123. So let us examine ourselves. First, examine ourselves.

  124. What are the examination tools? You have the spatula.

  125. Is it called what the doctor puts in your mouth and says ask

  126. you to gag and you are I'm sorry.

  127. If those are that are eating right at this moment, to check

  128. your tonsils and he sticks the little microscope in your

  129. microscope in your ear and a stethoscope on your chest,

  130. right? And he hits you, with a hammer,

  131. on your knee, to see your Reflections.

  132. I will, I'm a physician. I, there you go.

  133. That's all I know, but how so. So what are the what are the

  134. tools? Rules and the means by which we

  135. may examine ourselves, first and foremost are the holy

  136. scriptures. You know, Jesus says I don't

  137. judge you but the words that I speak which are now recording

  138. the holy scriptures, they will judge, they will reveal expose

  139. any of the 4d's that we possess the scriptures, the church

  140. itself, the Holy Church of God, the body of Jesus Christ.

  141. The flock of Jesus Christ. And when I say the church

  142. examine ourselves by the canons of the church, the principles of

  143. the church, the laws of the church, the Liturgy of the

  144. church, the sacraments of the church and obviously most

  145. importantly by the intercession of God the Holy Spirit.

  146. When we pray, we ask the spirit to inst intercede.

  147. So when you begin your examination and you reading a

  148. script before you even begin to read your scriptures before, you

  149. even begin to search the principles of the laws, the

  150. Liturgy and sacraments of the church, pray to the Holy Spirit

  151. and ask and beseech, the Holy Spirit to intercede so that he

  152. will reveal any of the 4D. Is of our repentance in John.

    John 14:26

  153. 14:26 Jesus claims. The spirit of Holiness, which

  154. means the Holy Spirit, whom my father sends in my name on the

  155. day of Pentecost and any time the priest, the ordained priest,

  156. who invokes the holy spirit in Jesus name, the father will send

  157. that Holy Spirit to bless and sanctify the Waters of baptism

  158. to bless and sanctify the elements of Of the host of the

  159. Holy Eucharist, The Bread and Wine to bless, and sanctify, the

  160. laying on of the hand. The person that is being

  161. ordained into the priesthood, the Holy Spirit, whom my father

  162. sends in my name, he will teach you all things and he will

  163. remind you of everything whatsoever.

  164. I have told you so along with teaching and remaining will

  165. reveal will expose will convict will encourage So relying on the

  166. Holy Spirit to reveal to us, to give us the diagnosis of our

  167. examination. Our spiritual examination,

  168. Saint, Paul writes to the Romans 8:26, the spirit, which means

    Romans 8:26

  169. the Holy Spirit. Helps our weakness.

  170. We do not know what we should pray for whenever it is

  171. necessary, but the spirit prays in our place with groaning,

  172. which is unspoken Praise God, unspoken.

  173. Praise God. God groans With Us.

  174. God sympathizes With Us. Isn't that amazing?

  175. Beloved what a what a loving God we have.

  176. God God's desire is truly that every person on this Earth comes

  177. to the knowledge of the truth and he saved and enters that

  178. Eternal Bliss. So the spirit who knows our

  179. weakness knows our one of the four DS or if not the whole

  180. Whole of the for these that we possess that, we need to repent,

  181. the spirit will reveal to us. What it is that we need to

  182. repent for. So now having an understanding

  183. of repentance and discovering and finding out being, you know,

  184. made known of what our what we need to repent from.

  185. How do we repent? Well, during this period of

  186. repentance that we offer during the rotation of the ninevites,

  187. let me read Job chapter 3 verses 5 to 9.

    Job 3:5–9

  188. Now after the city of Nineveh was told not told to repent,

  189. Jonah was in Nineveh, not through his own free will, you

  190. know, sometimes people ask me Robbie, you know, we say that

  191. God has given us free will, but he Winter feed with Jonas free

  192. will, he made Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh?

  193. He was escaping esa, mean God has every right to interfere

  194. when it comes to the Salvation of souls.

  195. So sometimes be prepared. You may not want to do it, but

  196. God will permit you or will cause you to do that.

  197. So after he has come to the city of Nineveh, he doesn't even

  198. Proclaim repentance. He the first thing that comes

  199. out of his mouth is God is going to destruct your city, doesn't

  200. mention repentance. And obviously there was a

  201. dialogue, you know, during the during the the prayers and the

  202. readings of the rotation of the nanomites, you know, the the

  203. tradition or the the verbal tradition of the father's, you

  204. know, as written what dialogue there is between Jonah and the

  205. king of Nineveh, and the ninevites.

  206. But look at what they did. John chapter 3 verses 5 to 9,

    John 3:5–9

  207. then the people of Nineveh believed in God know that they

  208. didn't know God. They didn't believe in God, they

  209. believed they understood, they fathom, they accepted that we

  210. have disappointed. Me, go that we have this

  211. pleased. We have despised.

  212. We have disappointed, we have disobeyed God.

  213. And they called a fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest

  214. to the least of them when the word reached the king of

  215. Nineveh. He arose from his throne laid

  216. aside his robe from him. You know we ask the question how

  217. do I repent here it is he arose for he arose from his throne

  218. laid aside, his robe from him, covered himself with sackcloth

  219. and sat on the ashes. Now don't take this literal No,

  220. I don't want to see people coming to Larsa Hall or Marzia

  221. Church of st. George Church of our Lady Church

  222. sitting on ashes, okay? These are metaphor, he, you

  223. know, that the city did this, but there is a metaphor, you

  224. know how we say in a see we say, but my buddy, sure.

  225. Right. I think I mentioned this last

  226. time in a program, we talked about this Ashby albani ahead.

  227. It's an analogy, it's an, an idiom of a state of where

  228. someone has no more hope, Up there is no hope.

  229. But obviously there is always hope.

  230. So as helpless as the city of Nineveh was seen, but there was

  231. hope and and they receive that. Hope they receive that grace and

  232. mercy from God. He issued the king of Nineveh

  233. issued a proclamation and it said the Nineveh in Nineveh.

  234. This is the decree of the king in India by the decree of the

  235. king of He and his Nobles. So make a decree for yourself in

  236. my body engine are in Steven, in Adrena.

  237. In anyone, I am going to now, decree to myself that any goes

  238. on to say, do not let man-beast herd or flock taste the thing.

  239. Now, I don't mean to say make your domestic pets fast, no, but

  240. make a degree 4. Of that, I will not taste

  241. anything and see there is the concept of fasting is not just

  242. not eating meat and not eating double double Burgers.

  243. No, it means total abstinence, I'm going to talk a little bit

  244. about the services. Total abstinence no flock,

  245. should taste the thing. That means abstain, do not let

  246. them eat or drink water, but both see not do not let them eat

  247. or drink if they like chocolate. They cannot eat chocolate.

  248. If they They don't if they like to drink Red Bull.

  249. Well, let them just give up Red Bull.

  250. No, no. Do not eat or do not drink

  251. abstinence because of the seriousness of seriousness of

  252. sin because of the seriousness of the 4d's of repentance with

  253. spoken about, do not let the let men based herd or flock taste a

  254. thing. Do not.

  255. Let them eat or drink water. But both men and Beast must be

  256. covered with sackcloth and let men call on God earnestly that

  257. each may turn from. His Wicked way.

  258. And from the violence, which is in his hands to turn away.

  259. There it is. We defined repentance, turn away

  260. 180 degrees from the wickedness, that is in his hands that phone

  261. that we hold in our hand and we scroll through our social media

  262. and what we post on our social media, be it pictures or words

  263. or posts or whatever it is. I captions you know let's turn

  264. away from that. Witness beloved, who knows?

  265. He continues, who knows God may turn and relent and withdrawal.

  266. His withdraw his Burning Anger, so that we will not perish.

  267. This is how we repent when we have discovered our sins, our

  268. transgressions, our weaknesses, what we do.

  269. Because most of these we do with the body, we deprive the body,

  270. from what it is, essential for food, and drink Jesus fast, that

  271. neither ate nor drank. This is how we fast beloved.

  272. This is why in the beginning, I said those who haven't fasted.

  273. You're either you've either reached that completion and

  274. perfection Holiness. God bless you.

  275. Please pray for me because I haven't, that's why we are

  276. fasting, but I doubt that there is someone that can claim that

  277. out there, offer that offer that, that repentance and offer

  278. that fasting in that rotation. A nice prayer.

  279. During this time Bassam chapter 51 verse is 1 2 3, show mercy

  280. upon me o God according to your kindness and according to the

  281. multitude of thy mercies blot out my sins wash me completely

  282. from my evil and Purge me from my sins because I know my crimes

  283. and my sins are always in front of me.

  284. This is such a powerful prayer. It's not just the psalm reading.

  285. It is a prayer and what a beautiful prayer befitting for

  286. any time we fast. And we ask God to forgive us so

  287. that we may repent from our sins.

  288. Our transgressions, if you're involved in adultery, if you're

  289. sleeping around, repent, if you're a husband or a wife and

  290. you're cheating on your husband or your wife, repent, if you're

  291. a drug dealer and you're on your way now to do a deal repent, if

  292. you're an alcoholic and Destroying your family yourself.

  293. Repent, if you're a gambler and your tote complete continuously,

  294. deceiving your family, you stealing from your from your

  295. wife, your lending and borrowing money, which, you know, you

  296. cannot repay. Repent.

  297. If you gossip, if you cus, if you hate repent, beloved, why?

  298. Why must we repent? Because Jesus, very bluntly

  299. very. Perfectly and very simply

  300. effectively, eternally says in Luke 13, unless you repent.

  301. All of you shall be destroyed. Regardless of what rank, you

  302. are, regardless of who you are, unless you repent.

  303. All of you shall be destroyed. Matthew, chapter 3, verse 8.

    Matthew 3:8

  304. Jesus commands produce, therefore fruit.

  305. That is fitting of repentance. This is why we must take it

  306. serious beloved. You know, sometimes when we talk

  307. about fasting we joke around, we take it very lightly.

  308. But fasting is the key is the mean by which Jesus himself

  309. established to overcome evil to overcome evil desires, to

  310. overcome Satan, and his trickery zennis Temptations.

  311. And remember, where does Satan attack?

  312. He attacks you, when you're on your social media, when you're

  313. on your laptop, your scrolling around and then he throws Those

  314. those those pop-ups. And then he entangles, you.

  315. Well, we know what you do during these three days.

  316. That's a repent. And this fast from getting on

  317. our social medias, let us repent and let us fast as abstain for

  318. three days from scrolling Tick-Tock.

  319. Let us do that beloved. And then when we do it become so

  320. encouraging. So, self pleasing that when the

  321. rotation is over, when your fasting period is over, you, I

  322. feel like you do not want to go back to it, like a dog returns

  323. back to its vomit, but you know what, I'm sure this time next

  324. year we're going to be talking about the same thing again,

  325. because we are weak. Repentance is a part of

  326. Christian Life. Repentance is not a, that's not

  327. repentance. Are you repented?

  328. Yeah, I have but I keep falling. I keep falling because I'm weak.

  329. Repentance is one of the struggles that We continue in

  330. our Christian Life. Let me share a revelation 2:5.

    Revelation 2:5

  331. Remember from where you have fallen from, see when we are in

  332. sin. When we have given up an hour,

  333. dropped our shield and have conformed to the patterns of

  334. this world and given up to the attacks of Satan.

  335. We form from the place that we were at one stage where we

  336. weren't sinning or we weren't giving up to the patterns of the

  337. world. So remember from from where you

  338. have fallen from and do, the former Works Deeds, we spoke

  339. about the insignificance of Deeds, but if not, I will come

  340. again. I will come against you and I

  341. will move your Menorah which is lampstand unless you repent, one

  342. of the church fathers. Says areas of Arles was a bishop

  343. of owl which is in France. One of the later Church fathers.

  344. I love his comment and I want to share it with you.

  345. He writes commenting on Revelation 2:5 and in, in

    Revelation 2:5

  346. relation to the lampstand or the menorah, he writes a note that

  347. he Jesus did not say that. He takes away the lampstand, but

  348. that he moves, he will move it for the lampstand signifies.

  349. The one Christian people, therefore he says, As that this

  350. lampstand is to be moved not taken away.

  351. So that we might understand that it in the very same church.

  352. That evil are moved and the good confirmed.

  353. Moreover, he means that by the hidden, but nonetheless just

  354. Judgment of God, that, which is taken from the evil is given as

  355. increased to the good. This fulfills that which is

  356. written here. Who has it will be added to him,

  357. but him to him, who has not? Even that which he has shall be

  358. taken from him. Matthew, 25 29.

  359. So Christ is, is is pre warning us that unless we return back to

  360. the Good, Deeds back to pleasing God back to obeying God back to

  361. appeasing God which is the same thing and back to work.

  362. Kicking Deeds which are the confirmation of our faith.

  363. That actually God loves if we don't, we will be moved.

  364. What is being given us the gracious gift of the holy spirit

  365. that we have received through our faith?

  366. That baptism the holy sacraments.

  367. Whatever we have received that will be taken away.

  368. That will be moved to those that have been obedient.

  369. It's serious beloved unless we repent.

  370. The Lord will come back and remove.

  371. That means evil and good cannot dwell with each other.

  372. On this Earth. There is good and evil.

  373. Why? Because the good are left by God

  374. to be an example of what God is appeased by and how people of

  375. God should live the evil remains, as an opportunity to

  376. repent. I insane.

  377. Peter writes that people are saying that, let me paraphrase

  378. it. Some people are saying that

  379. God's return is delaying. Saying it's not delay, it's

  380. given every person a chance to repent because when the Lord

  381. returns when the Lord returns to judge, he will not call people

  382. to repentance. He will call all to that fearful

  383. awesome judgment. He will not come to Bear our

  384. sins, our transgressions, he will come to reward to

  385. recompress Companions, our evil Deeds, which means total

  386. separation from But we don't want to focus on that.

  387. We want to focus on the day when the Lord returns that we will

  388. praise His holy name and we will bow willingly.

  389. We will confess joyfully that he is our King who has come to take

  390. us away to the Eternal Bliss that is awaiting us because we

  391. have offered our prayers, our fasting and our repentance we

  392. have been busy struggling tirelessly in Repentance so that

  393. we may receive that Holy pleasing.

  394. Men from God. Well done.

  395. Good and faithful servant. Praise be to his name now and at

  396. all times and forever and ever. One last thing.
