  1. In the name of the Glorious Trinity.

  2. Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  3. Amen. Glory be to the Everlasting

  4. mercies which sent you to us. Oh, Christ the light of the

  5. world and the life of all give us wisdom by your law and

  6. Enlighten our impulses, by your knowledge sanctify, our souls by

  7. your truth and Grant that we may be obedient to your words and

  8. may fulfill your Commandments at every hour.

  9. O you who enlightens the rationale with the knowledge of

  10. your greatness? Do Enlighten?

  11. Oh my Lord, our thoughts that we made meditate upon your holy and

  12. divine scriptures at all times O Lord of all Father and Son and

  13. Holy Spirit. Sometimes I'm asked to Define

  14. Christianity in one word and there's one word that always

  15. comes to mind and we throw it around here and there and

  16. everywhere is the word. Grace Christianity is a religion

  17. of Grace, the grace of God, through Jesus Christ, and Grace

  18. is defined as an extension of the love compassion and mercy of

  19. God. In Romans, The five verses, 89

  20. Saint, Paul writes here, God demonstrates his love for us.

  21. Because, if, when we were Sinners, that means deserving of

  22. Eternal damnation. That is the privation of a

  23. relationship with God, Eternal punishment in Hell.

  24. The Messiah Christ died for our place, in our place or died for

  25. us. How much more, therefore, would

  26. we all more be justified Now by his blood?

  27. That is the blood of Jesus Christ and be delivered.

  28. The Wrath by him. This is Grace.

  29. Beloved Grace is not when you show love to someone who loves

  30. you. Grace is not when you love

  31. someone, who is your friend, your family or relative Grace is

  32. showing love and charity to a person that is hurt.

  33. You that has wronged you or even you don't know.

  34. So while we were yet, sinners when we were Sinners Jesus

  35. Christ, the son of God died, add on our behalf and that's the

  36. grace of God. One of the gifts of the grace of

  37. God is that he has one of many and one that really strikes me

  38. is that he has declared us to be.

  39. Now, listen to this us, meaning Christians, those who have

  40. believed in Jesus Christ, and have been baptized in his name,

  41. in the name of the Trinity and a received his holy spirit, God

  42. has declared us to be sharers. Of the divine nature.

  43. We have a divine nature. That's what we are called, God's

  44. we to our God. We too are Christians

  45. christ-like. We to ungodly Godlike and this

  46. all by Grace. We read this in Second Epistle

  47. of st. Peter 1:4.

  48. So the question is, how do we respond to Grace?

  49. What is Our obligation to this Grace?

  50. What is it that we have to strive in order to appease lack

  51. of a better term? Appease the grace of God.

  52. Second Peter chapter 1 verses 5 to 7.

    2 Peter 1:5–7

  53. Peter goes on to say and when this has happened that we are

  54. sharers of the divine nature, Now we need to bring all

  55. diligence and add to your faith. Listen to these words.

  56. We're going to talk about these add to our faith virtue.

  57. Meaning believing that Jesus Christ.

  58. God, his father has saved us through the blood of his Christ

  59. by his grace believing that we need to add to that Faith.

  60. This is the response to Beloved virtue.

  61. We're going to talk about these, excuse me, and onto our virtue

  62. knowledge, and onto knowledge, perseverance, and onto

  63. perseverance patience. And to patience the worship of

  64. God. But on to the worship, that

  65. means fear and love of God, the affection of the Brotherhood but

  66. onto affection of the Brotherhood.

  67. He ended up with love. Let's define this beloved.

  68. And here, I'm going to refer to the commentaries of the Blessed

  69. theophil Act of quoted him and mentioned him a few times.

  70. The Blessed, the awful Act was a Byzantine Archbishop of awkward

  71. or accreta. What is known Bulgaria now and

  72. this is circuit. 1050 1108, he writes this in second Peter one.

  73. Saint Peter. Lays out the Order which we

  74. ought to follow to come into full maturity.

  75. Our response to the grace of God, our reaction to the grace

  76. of God, first comes comes Faith, obviously Faith, which is the

  77. foundation and source of all good works, Romans 10:9.

    Romans 10:9

  78. Saint Paul writes. And if you will confess with

  79. your mouth, our lord Jesus, and you will believe believe in your

  80. heart that God has raised him from the dead.

  81. You shall have life. That is new life with Jesus

  82. Christ. There's another simple equation.

  83. We talked about this last episode about.

  84. Excuse me. How to how to what actions to

  85. take. When someone has wronged you

  86. this is another equation. Not just build merely believe in

  87. Jesus Christ Mellie. Many believe in Jesus.

  88. Some believe that he was a very good profit.

  89. No, he was not just a very good profit.

  90. He was a perfect prophet. He was the prophet of the

  91. prophets, some believe that Jesus Christ was the nice and

  92. the good brother of Satan. Satan was the bad brother.

  93. This is blasphemy. This is heresy.

  94. And, and, you know, I only mention it as ridicule.

  95. So believing in Jesus Christ is great, is the first and

  96. foremost, but we must believe this is this is the, the essence

  97. of Christianity beloved. And you must believe in your

  98. heart that God has raised him from the dead because of Jesus

  99. was not raised from the dead. Then our faith.

  100. Saint Paul says, is invalid. There's nothing in our faith.

  101. That's why we must believe. There is a reason why you must

  102. believe. We believe in the resurrection

  103. of Our Lord. So that we confirm our own

  104. Resurrection. This is what we need to believe

  105. in. Jesus Christ, the son of God,

  106. Lord Christ, praise be trees, name the Lord, the Christ, the

  107. son of God, but also believe in our hearts that God has raised

  108. him. Why Romans 10, sorry, Romans

    Romans 6:3

  109. 6:3, 24 verses 32, for those of us who were baptized into Jesus,

  110. the Messiah. That is the Christ.

  111. Were baptized into his death. Listen to this, we were buried

  112. with him in baptism into death for as Jesus.

  113. The Christ arose. From among the dead in the glory

  114. of his father. This is why we ask believe in

  115. our hearts, that Jesus was resurrected by God, his father

  116. in this way. We also shall walk in New Life

  117. that we have a new life with Jesus Christ, and that new life

  118. will extend into the Kingdom of Heaven.

  119. If we remain steadfast in our life and we continue to appease

  120. him and to follow him and to believe him and to trust him and

  121. to live in his life because he is the way the truth and life

  122. St. John chrysostom writes about

  123. baptism. Listen to what he says, what

  124. does being baptized into his death?

  125. Mean that it is with a view to our dying as he did for baptism

  126. is the cross. So what the cross and burial is

  127. to Christ that baptism has been to us even if it if not in the

  128. same respects, why for he Jesus died himself.

  129. He wasn't. It wasn't a sinner.

  130. He wasn't worthy of death, death wasn't proclaimed upon him.

  131. No, it was proclaimed on, man. That's why you took our flesh.

  132. For, he died, himself and buried in the flesh.

  133. But we have done both to sin, but yet it is the death of Jesus

  134. Christ, and the resurrection, which we must believe.

  135. So, first and foremost comes, faith and st.

  136. Paul writes, the two amazing. Specs of faith, that Jesus

  137. Christ is Lord, but we must also believe in his resurrection in

  138. the Nicene Creed. We continue that.

  139. Not only, we believe in Jesus Christ who died and suffered in

  140. the died and was buried and rose and third on the ascended, I was

  141. sorry, I'm sorry rose on the third day is ascended into

  142. heaven. If we stay and remain there, our

  143. faith is flawed but we believe that he will return.

  144. This is the faith that we need. So you believe that you believe

  145. Jesus is the son of God. Meaning God himself, praise be

  146. to his name sinless. Perfect took on our flesh.

  147. Fulfilled his ministry for three years and was captured and

  148. wrongly judged and was beaten battered.

  149. He suffered, he was crucified. He died, he was buried, he rose

  150. on the third day ascended into heaven after 40 days.

  151. And then we'll come back again. Great, that's first step.

  152. The Blessed. The old select goes on to say,

  153. now this is our response to the grace of God, having faith.

  154. Next comes virtue. Excuse me by, which means good

  155. works for without good works, our faith is dead, it's so

  156. simple. So simple.

  157. Please read James 2:26 and of correct st.

    James 2:26

  158. James, if we believe the scriptures are breathe and

  159. inspired by the Holy Spirit of Kur.

  160. Same James to justify our own ideology or our own

  161. understanding of the Holy scriptures.

  162. No, James put, it very simply faith without Deeds is dead, our

  163. Good Deeds, beloved, our Good Deeds, which are essential and

  164. necessary, why? They also assure as assure us,

  165. that we have been created in Jesus Christ.

  166. Listen to what Paul writes to the Ephesians 2:10.

    Ephesians 2:10

  167. For we are his creation worker who are created in Jesus, the

  168. Christ for good works. Those things which God had from

  169. the first prepare that we should walk in them virtue.

  170. Shabbir, dobar a well-mannered, good works morality ethics.

  171. Then next comes on to Virtue knowledge.

  172. That is an understanding of the secret things hidden in God, the

  173. Mysteries, which are not revealed to everyone.

  174. Beloved, you know, many people cannot cannot see the, the the

  175. mystery in Jesus Christ. The Mystery of the Incarnation,

  176. The Mystery of the Resurrection, The Mystery of the miraculous

  177. birth. Why?

  178. Because Only those who continue Faithfully in the works already

  179. mentioned about. They to those will be revealed

  180. the mysteries of God. We are to increase knowledge.

  181. In what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing to God.

  182. Romans 12:2 So after virtue comes knowledge to increase on

    Romans 12:2

  183. none upon our knowledge abstinence Temperance and

  184. self-control. Why why does some Saint Paul

  185. include self-control? So that when we do possess the

  186. virtues and knowledge and the face?

  187. So that we are not puffed up, we are not haughty.

  188. We're not arrogant, we're not disdain lack of respect as a

  189. result and many people do fall into that Temptation into those

  190. snares because they notice how to quote scriptures, you know,

  191. some people Define Christianity, as when you're when you can

  192. quote scriptures left, right? And Center sometimes out of

  193. context and sometimes those scriptures are not relative to

  194. what you're talking about or what the what the topic of the

  195. situation is. So when we do have faith, we

  196. have virtue, we know the, the mysteries of God have been have

  197. been revealed to us. We need to have self-control All

  198. to Humble ourselves. Always always be humble.

  199. Beloved, there is not one person that has walked the earth.

  200. That is all knowing that can do everything that is everywhere.

  201. Omniscient, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent the Lord

  202. Jesus Christ. Yet, he humbled himself to the

  203. point where he washed his disciples feet.

  204. And he took the spittle, and I always said, because In Sunday's

  205. the Madden's the prayers that was mentioned, that he's telling

  206. Jesus tells Simon that. I took that spit on your behalf

  207. right yet, he humbled himself but he was all-knowing

  208. omnipresent omniscient and omni-benevolent have to think

  209. about those. I'm sorry so to Humble

  210. ourselves. Taff self-control. if we know,

  211. As much as we know we should always declare that we know

  212. nothing because every day beloved God puts us to shame

  213. when we think we know and God reveals something to us, we

  214. crumble away and think oh why didn't know that yeah God's

  215. telling you listen don't puff up and be haughty you know nothing

  216. you think you know me you think you know of me you know nothing

  217. of me because no man can know complete me.

  218. A of me and who I am or what I am no but what is revealed to

  219. you in the mystery and that according to the will of the

  220. Holy Spirit, then comes patience.

  221. Which is an attribute of the 1. Corinthians chapter 13, lab.

    1 Corinthians 13 chapter mention

  222. We're going to talk about that. Next, episode patients follows

  223. next because it takes time. Beloved to acquire Temperance,

  224. it takes time for you to grow in faith.

  225. It takes time for you to increase your virtues to gain.

  226. Virtues The Good Deeds to fulfill the Good Deeds.

  227. It takes time to know the mysteries of God and he also

  228. takes time to build self control.

  229. Sometimes we rush ourselves sometimes because I'm not like

  230. my friend is in faith in his knowledge and his virtues.

  231. We tend to discuss be discouraged, but be patient.

  232. God is patient with you, you know, God is so patient with us.

  233. It is us who are impatient with ourselves.

  234. We want to rush things if we're a little bit at Heron and we

  235. listen to the word of God and the voice of God.

  236. He is telling us don't, I'm not, I'm not rushing with.

  237. You impatient with you? I understand your flaws.

  238. I had missed and your weakness. You have been given an ability

  239. to take your time. Someone else has that capability

  240. know to to get it as soon as they hear it.

  241. You know I have to sometimes read, I'm reading a news article

  242. or even the scriptures or the church fathers commentaries.

  243. I have to read a sentence, maybe three or four times and it maybe

  244. I've Go back and read it word by word if you okay he's talking to

  245. me are such as okay. This is what I ended.

  246. I understand it but there are some people will read it and off

  247. the bat, they understand it. But that doesn't mean that.

  248. I don't know. And I don't have faith, I don't

  249. have virtues time be patient with yourself.

  250. First of all, with god with yourself and with others were

  251. going to talk about that next. Next episode His beloved

  252. increases our trust in God. Writes the Blessed theophil acts

  253. which is why godliness then comes first the more we are like

  254. God the more we become like God with our faith virtue is

  255. knowledge abstinence patients. The more we are like God, there

  256. are we trust in God, the more we are patient, we trust in God,

  257. which is why godliness is next to increase on your patience

  258. godliness. And as I said, The more we are

  259. like God, the more we are compelled by that likeness to to

  260. do what to create another world. No.

  261. To, you know, give salvation to another who can introduce people

  262. to Christ. Through whom is only salvation,

  263. no to brotherly love, which is the next on the list.

  264. Brotherly, love the 1 Corinthians 13.

  265. Love patient. Long-suffering and sweet

  266. pleasant. Kind love the an envious love

  267. the non upset and puffed up love the Shameless selfless.

  268. Well-mannered moral love the Revocable and clean minded.

  269. Love the evil hating love the truth loving.

  270. Love an enduring believing hopeful and bearing love

  271. beloved. Why?

  272. Because God is love, and The Godly must also, portray and

  273. reflect that love writes, the Blessed the effect.

  274. So this must be our response to Grace.

  275. Not only to In it. No need to use it to to

  276. sometimes. And you know, I'm sorry to say

  277. to condemn people to hell because they don't know Grey's,

  278. they don't understand Grace. No, you leave that to god.

  279. Let's leave hell and heaven to God beloved.

  280. Let's leave the righteous Judgment of God to the righteous

  281. judge. Not you and no one else because

  282. God is the only righteous God who judges without partiality.

  283. What you and I need to do is in order to understand Grace, is to

  284. have a response to this grace. And that is number one to

  285. believe in that Grace on our faith to increase that virtue.

  286. Good Deeds because of the grace of God and on the Good Deeds,

  287. the knowledge that is to know the mysteries of God and then to

  288. abstain have Self-control not to be buff, puffed, up and have

  289. patience so that we can be patient with ourselves and

  290. others. And God, firstly and then on

  291. patience godliness, that means being more like God and ending

  292. it with brotherly. Love, this should be our

  293. response. This should be our, our

  294. gratitude, to the grace of God because when we Face the

  295. ultimate judgment God God is not going to ask you.

  296. When I to define grace, just knowing what Grace he is, and no

  297. one should dare to say. I understand it fully no, no,

  298. knowing what Grace is and who Graces from and who threw, I'm

  299. sorry, and who gave us the grace, which is God through his

  300. son, knowing it is like the person who he is the word of

  301. God, and does not fulfill it in Jesus, liking that person to a

  302. foolish person but when we he the grace of God and we have a

  303. understanding enough for us to move in faith, virtue knowledge,

  304. and what we have been speaking about and the God of all love

  305. and constellation will grant us his Blissful Kingdom when the

  306. day comes to judge us according to his perfect righteousness,

  307. righteousness, praise and glory. Be to his name now in at all
