  4. mercies which sent you to us. Oh, Christ the light of the

  5. world and the life of all give us wisdom by your law and

  6. Enlighten our impulses, by your knowledge sanctify, our souls by

  7. your truth and Grant that we may be obedient to your words and

  8. may fulfill your Commandments at every hour.

  9. Oh, you who enlightens the rationale with the knowledge of

  10. your greatness do in light or my Lord are thoughts that we made?

  11. Meditate upon your holy and divine scriptures at all times

  12. O, Lord of all Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  13. Well, hello everyone. Received a piece of our Lord and

  14. our Savior. Jesus Christ.

  15. It's great to be back again. We had a little break.

  16. I was on vacation. Shout out to my brothers and

  17. sisters in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.

  18. Thank you for your love your kindness.

  19. Your warm hospitality. And thank you for all your

  20. feedback regarding the double. Sword podcast and all glory is

  21. only and alone to be given to our lord for his gracious.

  22. Love for his gracious mercies and for dimming as worthy to

  23. dare to present these programs which are Exposition on the holy

  24. scriptures. So thank you all and please do

  25. share this this podcast with with others there I was

  26. surprised. Some of the people were telling

  27. me that when I met them, they didn't know about the the

  28. podcast, but I suppose it takes time.

  29. It's been less than a year. I think.

  30. No, it's been two years of Sark. So yeah.

  31. And and, and thank you to the producers.

  32. Some of you didn't know about the producers of this program,

  33. are my dear brother Steven little ham and dear sister

  34. adrenal Shana, they do an amazing job and we have some new

  35. ideas, which we've, we've received from you, some

  36. suggestions on top. X and other materials are.

  37. So we're working on it. But what I like for you all to

  38. do and most importantly, is to keep this ministry in your

  39. prayers. It's not about gasogene art or

  40. father, Jonathan about Stephen Audrina.

  41. It's not about any one. It's about preaching the all

  42. sanctifying word of God to the world, these are amazing gifts

  43. that God has given us. You know social media has its

  44. downfall and has its evil. No, but we can use evil for good

  45. and let's all pray that the Lord will continue to bless and he

  46. will guide and that everything we do, we always do for his

  47. glory first and foremost and for the Salvation of souls.

  48. So let's get into today's topic and I'm going to quote scripture

  49. as we always do, Romans chapter 12 verse 14 and I think this is

    Romans 12:14

  50. a one of those difficult asks, one of those difficult

  51. obligations that we have the, you know, the Many things we

  52. read in the scriptures. It's like when we read them, we

  53. get this feeling year. I don't know if I can do that.

  54. That's not very easy. That's, that's not realistic.

  55. Well, that's not fair, you know, but you know what, it's not

  56. about being realistic and it's not about being easier.

  57. It's not about being fair, it's about the statutes the

  58. Commandments of God. And through the scripture

  59. through the holy scriptures for the teachings of the church, the

  60. church fathers that we must always be prepared to adhere to

  61. and to fulfill to the best of our capability and the best of

  62. our knowledge. Knowledge through prayer and the

  63. intervention of the holy spirit. So Romans chapter 12, verse 14

    Romans 12:14

  64. commands bless your persecutors. So some of you are now probably

  65. slam the break. If you're driving like what

  66. bless my persecutors. Yeah.

  67. And Paul goes on to say bless and do not curse.

  68. Do not cuss, do not curse basically bully up in a Syrian.

  69. Now, this is an extension to Christ's commandment himself,

  70. Matthew chapter 5 verses 43, 246.

    Matthew 5:43

  71. You have heard that it has been said in the law, which was given

  72. by God, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.

  73. Yes. Now, this is being realistic,

  74. this sits so beautifully to the heart, right?

  75. Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.

  76. But Jesus says, even the demons do that.

  77. So if we love our neighbors and I hate our enemies.

  78. We are on par with the demon that's repent, but I say, who is

  79. this? I know Jesus, because he is,

  80. God, praise and glory to his name, but I say to you, love

  81. your enemies and bless him, that curses you, or he would go.

  82. Again, those difficult obligations and

  83. responsibilities, that we have love your enemies and bless him,

  84. that curses you and do good to him, that hate you and pray for

  85. them that lead you in bonds. And that person You.

  86. Now this is all because of Faith.

  87. Obviously Jesus is talking about those who have been persecuted

  88. for their faith. Not being persecuted because of

  89. their own foolishness and fault. You know, we have no credit for

  90. that, you know, when you make a mistake, you know, you reap what

  91. you sow, the, the repercussions of your mistakes are your own

  92. fault is in Port st. Peter writes this in his first

  93. epistle, chapter 2, verse 20, but what Anna, what honor is.

  94. A to those who in do suffering because of their foolishness.

  95. But when you do what is good and they flicked you and you endure,

  96. then it magnifies your honor with Artisan to these guys.

  97. It magnifies your honor with God.

  98. You want to have honor ikarra with God, you want to have

  99. aquatic is Allah with Allah, right?

  100. Be afflicted for good. So, when Jesus is saying bless

  101. your purse, Secutor Xin your enemies and st.

  102. Paul reiterates, that as well. He's talking about our Pursuit

  103. persecution because of our faith, our persecution because

  104. of our humility because of our faith, our persecution, because

  105. of our love, because of our faith.

  106. So to better understand the term bless.

  107. We need to refer to the author of blessings and who is that?

  108. Heavenly Father God, through his son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus

  109. Christ, and the Holy Spirit, and we need to reflect that same

  110. blessings. Do as Jesus did Dhat do as Jesus

  111. did question, what is the greatest blessings that you and

  112. I receive from God? One that we pray would never

  113. end. You know, I mean, I'm sure

  114. everyone has their own blessings that they thank God for every

  115. day is it only good health. Is it wealth?

  116. Is that knowledge is that understanding?

  117. Is it a great Curry? Beautiful children, a great

  118. lifestyle, friends family. Well, personally, the greatest

  119. blessings that I receive from God and I asked and beseech that

  120. he would never end regardless of my foolishness.

  121. Is the blessings of God's patience with me long suffering.

  122. There is a prayer in the old Inn in the early morning prayers.

  123. We say every day I promise that I will repent.

  124. Days pass. And my sins are still standing.

  125. Oh Lord, have mercy on me, be patient, be long-suffering.

  126. And why is because God does not want me to die in my sins.

  127. God's desire is for me to repent.

  128. To repent and to live. So that when I'm living in

  129. Christ in his son, I will then live eternally.

  130. I will be saved and live eternally in the Kingdom of

  131. Heaven. Ezekiel chapter 18, verse 23,

    Ezekiel 18:23

  132. and we recite this in the diaconate litany.

  133. God said, I do not desire. The death of a sinner, says the

  134. Lord of lords, but that he would return from his evil way.

  135. And he will live. That's patients.

  136. Again in 2nd Peter 3:9, the Lord God does not delay his promises

  137. as people considered delay but he is patient for your sakes and

  138. because he is not willing that any person would perish but that

  139. every person would come to conversion.

  140. So patience is the characteristics of the blessings

  141. of God is the greatest blessing as far as I'm concerned.

  142. Everyone has their own Racing's. So when the scriptures are

  143. committed when Christ and the scriptures are commanding us to

  144. bless our persecutors, be patient with them.

  145. Be patient. Understand wait.

  146. The patient more with the Lord because the Lord can see and

  147. allow the Lord to intervene and the Lord to take Vengeance.

  148. Vengeance, is mine says the Lord, give place to the Lord

  149. Vengeance. So bless your persecutors off

  150. the bat be patient with them. Another Blessing.

  151. That we receive. Continuously.

  152. And without past partiality less pelted patter.

  153. Is that God understands? He understands why we are where

  154. we are? He understands there is a reason

  155. why people do what they do. He is God, we must to understand

  156. that there is always a reason why people are who they are, say

  157. what they say and do what they do.

  158. And I always bring these example, when I watch those

  159. shows that they're about the, you know, the prison shows and

  160. they're interviewing the prison the inmates.

  161. And, you know, I remember watching an interview with a

  162. young lady. I think she was in her late 20s,

  163. and she was in jail for murder. But when I heard her lifestyle,

  164. what she went through, I didn't begin to justify the murder in

  165. the scene, but I started to And I started to have compassion to

  166. sympathize that, well, maybe if I had this same difficult

  167. treacherous lifestyle, I may have ended up where this person

  168. has ended up. So there is a reason, you know,

  169. sometimes we say, why do people do this was a, because they

  170. stupid, right? They're idiots.

  171. That's a reason. Someone is stupid.

  172. What do you do with someone? That's stupid?

  173. You try to help that person. You know, you, you be patient.

  174. I ain't with that person and understand that this person is

  175. doing this because of this, my persecutors are persecuting me

  176. for my faith or whatever it is because of this be

  177. understanding, because our God is understanding with us.

  178. God knows exactly why we do what we do.

  179. You know I love the verse. In Psalm chapter verse 4 in

  180. Psalm chapter 2. He who sits in heaven will laugh

    Psalms 2 chapter mention

  181. and the Lord God will mock them. Not that guy.

  182. God loves with his cheeks. As one of the fathers is

  183. commenting or expresses mockery with his nose.

  184. But rather through his Saints, when we laugh at something, that

  185. is pretty puny stupid. That's like God is But we must

  186. understand that there is a reason why this person is like

  187. this. So to bless your persecutors is

  188. to be patient to understand that they must be a reason.

  189. You know, that reason may be me. Maybe my ignorance, my self

  190. confidence self righteousness. That my persecutors doing what

  191. they doing to me. So blessings again, patience

  192. understanding. And to know that we are weak, we

  193. are frail, you know, God knows that we are weak, that's why

  194. he's extends his invitation through his son in Matthew

    Matthew 11:28

  195. 11:28. Come on, to me all of you.

  196. Not only those, you know, let's read it carefully.

  197. Come on to me all of you. Every one of you.

  198. Is laboring and is forced to Bear burdens, come on.

  199. To me all of you are labored and are forced to Bear burdens and I

  200. shall give you rest because he understands he knows our

  201. weakness. So to we need to understand and

  202. this will help us bless our persecutors.

  203. These are some of the hints on how we can come to a position,

  204. get to a point where we really do bless our persecutors.

  205. It's a And it's not comport, it's not a multiple choice.

  206. It's compulsory. You must do it.

  207. Because Jesus has commanded it. It's not for negotiation.

  208. It's not whether you like it or not, how it appeases, you how it

  209. sits right with you in your heart, and your mind and your

  210. understanding and your intellect know you do it.

  211. Why? Because Jesus has commanded it,

  212. because he did what a blessing to all his persecutors.

  213. Beloved, he's on the cross. He's in pain, he's in agony.

  214. His flesh is being torn with every breath that he takes.

  215. Listen to this. Stop pull over stop washing your

  216. dishes. Stop vacuuming.

  217. Listen to this. He's he's on the cross.

  218. His wounds that, you know, there must have been his human being,

  219. he sweated. His wounds are being being, you

  220. know, what is it? But the other, you know, that

  221. he's suffering with his wounds and yet, look at the blessings.

  222. Father, forgive them for, they do not know what they're doing.

  223. Father, forgive them for the day.

  224. They do not know what they're doing in a way, because he knew

  225. why they're doing this. He knew that it had to happen.

  226. So we too have to know. We have to have some sort of an

  227. understanding, we have to have some sort of a passion

  228. compassion, and patience for our persecutors.

  229. To know that we're all Sinners. We are all week if I am

  230. persecuted, rest assured, be assured that.

  231. You two have persecuted. Someone some some way or

  232. another. you know, this is what The old oldest son in the

  233. parable of the prodigal of. The parable of the Prodigal Son,

  234. all I call it a parable of the merciful father in Luke 15:11 to

    Luke 15:11–32

  235. 32. He didn't understand, he didn't

  236. understand that. Everything the father had is his

  237. anyway. He still in the household, he's

  238. a part of the household, but the child, his brother had left.

  239. And that's why his father says, listen, you must understand

  240. this. That is why I am blessing.

  241. That is why I'm having compassion that this brother was

  242. lost in his found, his dead and he now lives.

  243. So bless your persecutors with patience and understanding their

  244. issues. Lastly God, blesses us with

  245. compassion and pity from the Liturgy of the Assyrian Church.

  246. The Liturgy of the Holy Quran in truth O.

  247. My Lord. We sing three times.

  248. See you have persecuted. Got through your sins.

  249. One more time, you have crucified Jesus, because of your

  250. sins, we do this each time that we sin, but yet we come so

  251. confidently and we sing in truthful.

  252. My Lord, we are not worthy much Lara, Marla Wynne and right in

  253. truth. All my Lord.

  254. We are not worthy. Have pity on us O My Lord though

  255. we are not worthy even though we are not worthy.

  256. Have Pity on us through our Frailty because of our many

  257. sins. We need to have compassion and

  258. pity even if the prosecutor is not worthy.

  259. But we need to because this is what we ask God.

  260. You know Jesus said if you don't forgive if you don't have

  261. compassion, if you don't show Mercy, then I will not show

  262. Mercy. The prayer of the try Segi and

  263. the holy God. Holy Mighty.

  264. Paddy Sharda. Addition Tana listen to what the

  265. the the priest is praying. Holy glorious.

  266. Mighty and Immortal. Whose will dwells and rests

  267. content in the Saints turn. Oh, I Lord and PT and have mercy

  268. upon us as you are accustomed to do at all times O.

  269. Lord of all Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  270. Amen, compassion Petey. On 20 load of hosts, the priest

  271. prays we supplicate and asked, fulfill with us your grace and

  272. pour through pour forth through us.

  273. That is the priesthood. Your gift and made a mercies and

  274. compassion of your godhead be for the pardon of the debts of

  275. your people. And for the Forgiveness of the

  276. sins of all the flock of your pasture whom you have chosen for

  277. yourself in your grace and mercies oh good, one and lover

  278. of mankind. Laudable, Father and Son and

  279. Holy Spirit forever. Amen.

  280. Yes, we Dare to ask this. We dare to pray for this but do

  281. we extend it to our brother? To our sister.

  282. And to our persecutors, James chapter 2 verse 13 for judgment

    James 2:13

  283. is, without Mercy to him that shows, no mercy.

  284. So why do we have to do this? Why are we asked to bless our

  285. persecutors apart from Christ? And God God, the Father God, the

  286. son, God the Holy Spirit are at every time bestowing their

  287. compassion that page. Actions that knowledge, the

  288. understanding and their PT. This is Christianity beloved

  289. second, Timothy 3:12 but also all those who choose to leave in

  290. the worship of God in Jesus, the Christ are persecuted.

  291. We will be persecuted and we bless our persecuted to close

  292. off with is because of this, I encourage myself.

  293. I teach myself as the most unworthy servant of Christ to

  294. do, persecutor to them. Not to persecute my persecutors

  295. to do. Bless my persecutors is as

  296. though. I'm saying, thank you because

  297. you are increasing my reward in the Kingdom of Heaven.

  298. You are increasing my honor with my heavenly father.

  299. Persecuting me, is giving me greater Our honor in the eye of

  300. God, my father, the world persecutes Christianity.

  301. The world is persecuting Christ today, why?

  302. Because Jesus said a John 15:18, if the world hates, you know,

    John 15:18

  303. that it hated me before you. So prepare yourselves for

  304. persecution, severe persecution, emotional persecution, personal

  305. persecution, spiritual persecution, physical

  306. persecution, Just be prepared. And what should our response be

  307. God? Forgive God, bless God.

  308. Have compassion. God have pity.

  309. So when Paul is reiterating Christ Commandments that we must

  310. bless our persecutors. We Begin by being patient with

  311. try this. And if it's hard and if it's

  312. undoable, if it's incomprehensible, if it is most

  313. difficult. It's only because we don't want

  314. to, they take that first step. If we commit in prayer and ask

  315. the Lord to help us Lord, You've committed commanded me to place

  316. my persecutions. Give me the same heart.

  317. Give me the same love. Give me the same compassion that

  318. you possess. So I too can then extend it on

  319. my persecutors. So at the end of the day God is

  320. glorified and man is saved, praise and glory be to the name

  321. of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now not all times and for

  322. We hope you enjoyed this week's message.
