  1. In the name of the Glorious Trinity.

  2. Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  3. Amen. Glory be to the Everlasting

  4. mercies which sent you to us. Oh, Christ the light of the

  5. world and the life of all give us wisdom by your law and

  6. Enlighten our impulses, by your knowledge sanctify, our souls by

  7. your truth and Grant that we may be obedient to your words and

  8. may fulfill your Commandments at every hour.

  9. Oh, you who enlightens the rationale with the knowledge of

  10. your greatness do in light or my Lord are thoughts that we made?

  11. Meditate upon your holy and divine scriptures at all times

  12. O, Lord of all Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  13. Sometimes when we try to delve into things and to understand

  14. the depth of something we tend to neglect the Simplicity, for

  15. example, the Simplicity of Love is trust faithfulness.

  16. Respect caring, Etc, but when Valentine's Day comes along we

  17. go so far and Beyond to try to express our love, the genuine 80

  18. of our love with the stems of roses and the teddy bears and

  19. the chocolate and what have you and we neglect.

  20. That truly love is simply respect and caring.

  21. And as I mentioned The same happens when we read our holy

  22. scriptures at times, we try to delve too much into the meaning

  23. and the reason behind it and we tend to sometimes forget the

  24. Simplicity of our Christian faith.

  25. Remember Jesus said, in Matthew 16:23, we're going to the we're

    Matthew 16:23

  26. going to look at some verses. We're going to discuss a few

  27. verses that are so simple but yet we neglect, but they're so

  28. important. Matthew 16:23 for the son of man

    Matthew 16:23

  29. is going to come in the glory of his father with the Holy Angels

  30. and he will repay each, man. According to his Works simple,

  31. right? No theology there.

  32. No, l Jekyll, meaning, no tradition tradition.

  33. Danzig cetera, it's simple when the Lord returns.

  34. In the glory of his father because he is God, praise His

  35. name with his Holy Angels, the ministering Spirits, then he

  36. will repay each men. According to his Works, what he

  37. has done on this Earth. So, I think if we wake up in the

  38. morning and always remind ourselves that today, the Lord

  39. could return in the glory of his father with the Holy Angels and

  40. he will repay recompense. He will judge and he will reward

  41. and recompense and repay according to his righteous

  42. judgment and he will repay according to our Deeds, our

  43. works st. Paul goes on to say whether good

  44. or evil now, I understand that, you know, we need to According

  45. to second Peter 1:5, add to our faith virtue, and onto our

    2 Peter 1:5

  46. virtue knowledge and excetera that is only to keep us focused

  47. and awake. that one day, the Lord will return that when he

  48. returns that we are not slumbering in Comfort zones in

  49. complacency in slothfulness and laziness Luke chapter 12 verse

    Luke 12:37

  50. 37. He's another one of those verses

  51. that we take for granted or sometimes Overlook and maybe

  52. just read but not to ponder on. Luke 1237 blessings to those

  53. servants whom when their lord Jesus Christ, praise be to his

  54. name will come. He shall find while they are

  55. watching awake. They're awake, they're not

  56. slumbering. Amen.

  57. Which means yes or truly or verily?

  58. I say to you. Jesus is speaking here that he

  59. that is Christ himself shall gird his waist and he shall make

  60. them recline. At means he will sit them at the

  61. table and he shall go through and shall wait on them or serve

  62. them. Did you did you hear that?

  63. Did you pay attention? See, or is it one of those

  64. verses we just read? No, I'm too busy.

  65. I need to know what those Grace means saved by grace.

  66. I need to understand this, well, that's simple, but sometimes

  67. people make it so sound, so difficult, but just listen to

  68. this. Jesus is saying, let me

  69. summarize it, and, and paraphrase it.

  70. When I returned and I find you a watchful servant.

  71. In prayer. In scripture reading, let me ask

  72. you, do you pray? There's a personal question

  73. between God and you, and I'm asking it on behalf of god,

  74. let's just, let's just put it this way.

  75. Do you pray? And if so, how many times how

  76. effective in reverence or just do the sign of the cross and

  77. say, Ya Allah ha. Oh Lord.

  78. Oh God, Do you pray effectively? Do you pray kneeling on your

  79. knees, prostrating with your forward on the floor before the

  80. cross of Jesus Christ. And the holy scriptures, the

  81. gospel beating on your chest and saying, Lord, have mercy on me,

  82. I am not worthy to call your name because Mal my mouth is

  83. filth at times. I am so drenched in sin.

  84. Oh Lord have mercy on me and he my prayers and supplications

  85. according to your loving-kindness.

  86. See, this is being watchful in prayer.

  87. Do you pray when you wake up in the morning or the first thing

  88. you do is check your social media.

  89. Do you wake up is your alarm a simpler arm alarm or is it is

  90. there a rock and Hip-Hop? And you know I'm a bit old for

  91. this music but you know it's one of those fancy.

  92. What is that rap music and fancy music that you wake up to?

  93. Let me tell you, my, my alarm clock is madness, is our Pas, La

  94. who Maryam Shopkin, and at the going at the rising of the Sun.

  95. Wow, homer, I'm Shelby cullinan. We glorify you o our Lord.

  96. That's what I wake up to. So when we wake up do we

  97. immediately immediately talk to God and thank him for waking us

  98. up for giving us life? Do we immediately?

  99. Thank him for the eyes that we can see the ears that we can

  100. hear the mouth that we can praise with the legs that we can

  101. walk the straight path that he has set for us?

  102. Us. The hands that have been made to

  103. do good. The mouth that has been made to

  104. praise. Do we thank him.

  105. Before we eat, do we praise the Lord and thank him.

  106. When were in trouble, do we cry out to the Lord?

  107. See, this is being. This is being watchful in

  108. prayer. What about our scripture

  109. reading? These are the obligations of a

  110. Christian to read the Holy scriptures, guys, Kong take that

  111. Bible. That's on your bookcase

  112. Gathering dust or it's under your pillow to bless you.

  113. So that it will keep the bed bugs away.

  114. Bring it out, open it and dust it, and read it.

  115. Do we read the Holy scriptures. Do we have a plan?

  116. A daily plan to read the scriptures?

  117. Not all Oh, I get these motivational verses every day

  118. and I get these verses on my phone.

  119. No. You open the Bible?

  120. And I mean hard copy scriptures. You set some time you pray and

  121. ask the Lord to Grant you the wisdom to know the meaning of

  122. the word is Saint John, chrysostom spray and you

  123. actually open tangibly. E touch it.

  124. Open the Bible, you know, flick the pages in reverence and read

  125. the scriptures. Daily.

  126. See this is being watchful in our scripture reading.

  127. Do we turn church regularly? You know at first it was every

  128. Sunday now a compromise. You know, I shouldn't say

  129. regularly, I should say every Sunday.

  130. Every first day of the week had shaba, I wake up in the morning,

  131. I make sure I've had a good intent, good night's sleep, so

  132. that I can wake up in the morning.

  133. And again, praise God, that I made it to the first day of the

  134. week and that he will give me the The blessings and the grace

  135. and the mercy and deem me worthy to enter his holy gates in

  136. reverence, he's holy caught in reverence and attend church.

  137. And when I enter church, I actually enter the house of the

  138. Lord. I walk into the Nave, the

  139. courtyard. I do the sign of the cross which

  140. is the power of the Trinity upon myself, the victory of the of

  141. the Cross upon myself. I I take peace from my Does

  142. insisted as that are already there.

  143. The Peace of the Lord. That's what you do.

  144. When you walk into someone's home, don't you?

  145. You knock on the door, you walk in and say, hi, how are you?

  146. You shake the hand, you hug them and kiss them and then you go

  147. and sit on the couch and you continue in conversation.

  148. Yet we come into the house of the Lord.

  149. We do the sign of the cross. We kiss the cross, which is the

  150. humanity of Christ, which is Christ himself.

  151. The crucified one, Sliwa, The crucified one.

  152. We go and take our seats and we continue to converse with our

  153. Lord Jesus Christ. Sighs.

  154. But you know what we say? Lord have mercy on me a sinner.

  155. I'm a sinner, I'm not worthy. Lord have mercy on me and then

  156. we listen to the Liturgy. We participate intelligent into

  157. with the in the Liturgy. We sing, we praise padishah.

  158. Allah not murmur and Mumble, praise sing, louder, whom are on

  159. to you, Lord, and when the priest is, is is reciting, the

  160. prayer of absolution that is God himself.

  161. Giving up solution, Beat our chest a time.

  162. We say, Lord have mercy on me, forgive me, deem me right.

  163. Deem me worthy to dare to approach the holy Mysteries and

  164. partake in your holy all, sanctifying body and blood.

  165. And then when we do with a humble and contrite spirit

  166. returned, back to our seeds, not head out to the, you know, to

  167. the the parking lot, or enter the hall.

  168. Because there's Fellowship know we go back to our seat and we In

  169. you to thank God and praise him and offer our utmost gratitude

  170. for deeming me as your servant. Unworthy servant that Grace that

  171. worthiness to take part in your old, sanctifying body and blood.

  172. This is being watchful in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

  173. Do we help those who are in need?

  174. Are we ready to forgive when someone asks for forgiveness?

  175. Are we ready to show Mercy when someone asks mercy?

  176. So that Mercy with a judgment with Mercy is also passed on us

  177. because we have shown most to see.

  178. This is being watchful in our Christian Life as servants and

  179. Jesus says, I mean amen hair. Hey you know you've heard when

  180. parents a hair I will. Yes you Yes, I say to you, that

  181. I will put on my towel. Oh my, my apron, my, my, my

  182. waist I will good myself, and I will recline you and you, I will

  183. serve you. I will sit you down.

  184. That means, I will take away the laborers.

  185. They will be no more laborers when the Lord returns.

  186. There will be a live without any annoyance.

  187. Never Bibles that no more podcasts guys.

  188. No more podcasts. No more Bible studies.

  189. No more preaching in the Kingdom of Heaven.

  190. If we are the watchful servants ready to receive our Lord with

  191. good deeds. According to Matthew chapter 16

    Matthew 16:22

  192. verse 22, verse 23 and he will recline us.

  193. You see think about that? You know, I could I could close

  194. this program now and say go away now.

  195. Think about it, Go and Ponder and what we've just discussed

  196. This is why Jesus will sit us down.

  197. He will sit us down in Eternal rest, he will distribute his

  198. endless blessings immeasurably, beloved because we know that

  199. Christ is able to Always by his Almighty power to do for us even

  200. more than we ask or think. Ephesians 3:21.

    Ephesians 3:21

  201. It's like but wait, there's more, but wait, there's more It

  202. was Luke 12:37 and he will serve us beloved.

    Luke 12:37

  203. Second Timothy 2:12. If we shall have suffered, we

    2 Timothy 2:12

  204. shall also reign with him, you know, each time, I dare to start

  205. complaining about my difficult circumstances and situations

  206. this verse comes to mind. Now I'm not gonna tell you.

  207. I become a hero and I say, bring it on.

  208. I'm ready to take any suffering know.

  209. But this verse rebukes me and it should rebuke us that when we

  210. suffer for Jesus Christ. Remember for Christ not because

  211. it's our fault because we have been foolish and we bring

  212. suffering onto ourselves know when we suffer for Jesus Christ.

  213. We will reign with him. To know what rain means, not

  214. rain that is coming down, not showers rain, we will have

  215. authority with him. The Angels, the Angels will be

  216. singing Glory to God when we are being lifted, according to the

  217. Earth is alone Ian's when we are being lifted and exalted in the

  218. same Cloud that the Lord was taken up into heaven.

  219. We will be entering the Kingdom of Heaven if we suffer for Jesus

  220. Christ. When you do something for

  221. Christ's sake, As Extreme as taking a spittle.

  222. Ruka for Christ's sake, will reign with him.

  223. I always mention this. He took our spittle, he was bad

  224. at beloved. That's why he is raining.

  225. He's almighty God, praise and glory to his name, that's pit

  226. was for the human race. That's why Jesus Took on flesh,

  227. that's why God incarnate God, took flesh.

  228. So that he could take P. Could take that spit, and he

  229. knew that he would Reign and that.

  230. Promise is for you and I see we neglect, these verses, we're too

  231. busy. Oh, well, you know what?

  232. It's not easy, it's hard. Why should I suffer why should

  233. have Jesus suffered for you? Oh, you fool.

  234. Why should have Jesus suffered for you because he loves you?

  235. Because he wants you to one more time.

  236. Be reinstated to That Glory. That your race was with God in

  237. Paradise, but even better in the Kingdom of Heaven, reign with

  238. him, have Supremacy in Grace, have Supremacy in glory Eternal

  239. Bliss. I Can Only Imagine.

  240. Third Day, right? I can only imagine no, I can't

  241. imagine I'm sorry. You cannot imagine because when

  242. you imagine then you put st. Paul's words make them void.

  243. Because Paul says you cannot even imagine. the thought has

  244. not even crept up to your mind and there is no way you can

  245. imagine what God has prepared for you and I St.

  246. Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 4:17 for the Affliction of the

  247. present time, you know where whinging, we're we're

  248. complaining because we have difficulties at work, finances

  249. relationships, are you serious relationships for the

  250. afflictions of the present time, whatever it may be, though, very

  251. small. And Like you think the whole

  252. world is coming down on you? Those afflictions and small and

  253. very light according to the holy scriptures.

  254. Those afflictions are preparing for us.

  255. Great Glory Without End forever and ever Saint.

  256. Paul writes to the Corinthians in his Second Epistle.

  257. But then to rain on our Parade, Saint Paul continues, but if we

  258. shall reject him, he will reject us if it's unbearable.

  259. I'm going to throw in the towel. He will throw in the towel if we

  260. reject the truth of Jesus Christ.

  261. Jesus Christ. Not Muhammad.

  262. Not Buddha, not Vishnu. No, Jesus Christ.

  263. Beloved, the only Son of God, the true Son of God through him.

  264. Ooh, only we can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven by the grace

  265. of God, which is Jesus Christ, the grace of God is Jesus

  266. Christ. So we can only enter the kingdom

  267. through Jesus Christ. Beloved, if we reject Jesus

  268. Christ, if we have not accepted, Jesus Christ as our Lord and our

  269. savior, Then he will reject us simple.

  270. I don't care how many cups of sugar as you've given you an a,

  271. you know, my neighbor gives me an asking for sugar.

  272. It doesn't, it doesn't, it doesn't matter how many times

  273. you stop by the way and help someone change the tire because

  274. I've had a flat tire. No, without Jesus Christ.

  275. God says, in the Old Testament, the his deeds are dirty rags.

  276. You're still in sin, you still have the punishment of sin.

  277. You need to be cleansed through Jesus Christ.

  278. If you reject him, he will reject reject us.

  279. Jesus goes on to say 9:26 and whoever shall be ashamed of me.

  280. See again these are the verses that we just read simply let's

  281. just read it all. Let's go into now you know let's

  282. talk about what the end times are going to be the end.

  283. Times means the Lord returns simple as that, there's got to

  284. be judgment simple as that. You don't need to sit down and

  285. calculate, these are all deceiving people.

  286. These are evil people. People those who want to sit

  287. down and bring out a calculator and start calculating, I'm

  288. sorry, you're you're limiting God's wisdom knowledge timing

  289. and and Infinity of wisdom. Endless wisdom wealth of wisdom.

  290. You let me get limiting it to the calculator to the calendars

  291. two dates and times. No no, no simple.

  292. When the Lord returns, he will judge the world.

  293. And who, who, who who ever shall be ashamed of me.

  294. You're ashamed to do the sign of the cross.

  295. Normally, as we do at church in a restaurant, why is it that a

  296. church? We are so free.

  297. And so confidently will do the sign of the cross.

  298. But in a restaurant will scratch our chests because we don't want

  299. someone to see me, I don't care if it offends.

  300. Anyone, I don't care because I'm not doing it to offend people.

  301. I'm doing it for the glory of God for Salvation and in

  302. Thanksgiving to Jesus Christ, if you are ashamed of me.

  303. And my words, if you're ashamed of speaking, about about the

  304. evil of abortion of homosexuality transgenders, if

  305. you're ashamed because you don't want to offend someone.

  306. Well listen, I would rather offend someone, a friend, a

  307. family friend, a cousin, a relative, then see him or her

  308. burn. Eternal hell I would rather

  309. offend now so that that offencive may bring to

  310. repentance. If you are ashamed of me and my

  311. words of him will the son of man be ashamed when he comes in the

  312. glory of his father with his Holy Angels.

  313. So he's going to come with the in the glory of his father.

  314. Again with the Holy Angels to judge, every man, according to

  315. their deeds and those who are ashamed of him Christ, will be

  316. ashamed of them. Some John chrysostom comments,

  317. whether a person is saved or lost, the gospel continues to

  318. have. Of its own power.

  319. If I am a thief, the gospel has power thieves.

  320. Idolatrous homosexuals rival hers.

  321. Those who are drunk card. Will not enter the Kingdom of

  322. Heaven. Just because I am one of those,

  323. it does not mean that the holy scriptures have lost their

  324. power. No, they still have their power.

  325. So John chrysostom goes on to say the light, even when it

  326. blind, someone is still light. Isn't it honey though?

  327. It is bitter to those who are sick, it is still sweet.

  328. It's better to me. I'm sick when he drink water

  329. when you're sick. It doesn't.

  330. It takes oblate. I mean water is Bland, but it's

  331. not refreshing. There's a, there's a funny taste

  332. in your mouth when you're sick and you're drinking water.

  333. So also the gospel has a sweet savour to all.

  334. Even if those who do not believe in, it are lost whether all

  335. except Us or reject us. The Christ that we portray

  336. Beloved the Christ that we reflect.

  337. The cries that we attest to in our lives is the savior of the

  338. world. Simple, isn't it?

  339. Let me finish with this. Matthew 3032, 12.

  340. Whoever will exalt himself will be humbled and whoever will

  341. humble himself will be exalted. What a simple yet, such a

  342. difficult asking. Maybe we need to focus on these

  343. simple. Things to Humble ourselves.

  344. Humble ourselves. Let us be the one to extend the

  345. hand of friendship and Reconciliation.

  346. Even if the person has exploded my forehead a seam up detailer,

  347. even if the person has put a hole in our hearts, but retailer

  348. Libby, it obsolete, busy Leb, even if the person has truly

  349. heard as been offended as by what he has, Said, or done.

  350. But we yet, we still extend the hand of reconciliation, because

  351. while we were yet, sinners, beloved Christ, died for you.

  352. And I, let's look at the Simplicity of Christianity and

  353. let's complete. It livered, honor it, practice

  354. it in its fullness. So that when the Lord returns

  355. and he was, and he finds his watchful engaged, Such Deeds, he

  356. will truly recline you and you you and I both so that we may

  357. share in that Glory with him. Praise and glory.

  358. Be to His holy name now in at all times and forever.

  359. Amen. We hope you enjoyed this week's
