  1. In the name of the glorious Trinity, Father and Son and Holy

  2. Spirit forever. Amen.

  3. Glory be to the everlasting mercies which sent you to us, O

  4. Christ, the light of the world and the life of all.

  5. Give us wisdom by your law and enlighten our impulses by your

  6. knowledge. Sanctify our souls by your

  7. truth, and grant that we may be obedient to your words and may

  8. fulfil your commandments at every hour.

  9. O you who enlightens the rationale with the knowledge of

  10. your greatness, do enlight, O my Lord, our thoughts that we may

  11. meditate upon your holy and divine scriptures at all times,

  12. O Lord of all, Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever.

  13. Amen. I was watching an episode of

  14. Shark Tank and noticed quite evidently, the scrutiny those

  15. presenting a product or business idea experience prior to the

  16. members of the cast. That is, the sharks either

  17. commit financially or pass altogether.

  18. Now, some wise and significant questions are posed to the

  19. presenter, and rightly so. You know, the whole idea is to

  20. be certain that an investment will pay off as claimed, as

  21. projected, as described and as expected.

  22. Now we can say that that is a good method and process to adopt

  23. when evaluating the world and what it has to offer versus

  24. Christ and His promises. Let's put it in practice.

  25. Let me pose you a question. What is the most beneficial

  26. thing, most important thing that you have invested in and are

  27. expecting and praying and hoping and anticipating, investing in a

  28. for a great return. You're anticipating a great

  29. return, a successful investment. Is it finances?

  30. Well, let me tell you, they are too often disappointing.

  31. Let me take you back to the stock purchase frenzy.

  32. You remember that? I think it was during COVID.

  33. Robbie buy some of these stocks cause Elon Musk just sneezed and

  34. that's a good sign. Robbie, buy some of these

  35. stocks. You know, some of my beloved

  36. deacons and beloved brothers and sisters would recommend and I

  37. would adhere to it. I would go and buy some stocks

  38. right when I check what I have today.

  39. Now I'll just leave it at that. So finances can disappear just

  40. like that. Taking losses is a norm in this

  41. world, beloved, because this world is a loser.

  42. It's a losing world. Is it relationships?

  43. Allow me to politely and respectfully ask you yes, you

  44. who are listening or watching? What number of girlfriend or

  45. boyfriend or partner are you on? How many?

  46. And I'll leave it at that. As far as relationships are

  47. concerned, health. Let's not even go there.

  48. Back in 2010 when I arrived in California, I was adamant.

  49. I would walk 2 to 3 miles in that blistering heat during

  50. midday, right. I remember going to Arizona for

  51. a youth conference. It was at it was 103 or 113°.

  52. And my dear sister, cousin Rita, we were driving home and I said,

  53. Rita, I'm going to go for a walk.

  54. She goes where I'll be. I said, you know, in the

  55. streets. I'm going to go for a walk at

  56. twelve, 1:00 in the in the afternoon.

  57. She says you'll be arrested. Robbie, you can't walk in these

  58. heat. I was adamant.

  59. I want to lose weight. Well, today that's changed.

  60. You know, sometimes some of the clergy vestments are barely

  61. fitting me. So health is also changing,

  62. right? How many?

  63. Healthy, trim, ripped, stacked, 6 packed athletes are hit with

  64. terminal diseases, illnesses, Alzheimer's, dementia,

  65. Parkinson's, etcetera. So health is not a guarantee nor

  66. a guaranteed payback, education, academic credentials.

  67. Now I know many of our brothers and sisters who had who who

  68. arrived in these Western countries with with credentials

  69. such as pH. DS and today cannot make any use

  70. of it because there is a lot of requirement marriages.

  71. What about divorces? Death Does that.

  72. That does marriages asunder unfaithfulness, cheating,

  73. dishonesty, disrespect. How many husbands are living in

  74. fear of the wives and vice versa?

  75. How many husbands are unable to communicate with parents because

  76. of their wives? Or how many wives are unable or

  77. not permitted to communicate with their parents because of

  78. their husbands unable to see children?

  79. That's that's another one. Children.

  80. Family. Friends, career, faith, church,

  81. people causing schisms in the church and then calling for

  82. unity. That's hypocritical, right?

  83. You see, all of these that I mentioned, beloved, are

  84. circumstantial. They are bound, affected by

  85. circumstances, Marriages and all.

  86. It's unprofitable, unfaithful, heartbreaking circumstances.

  87. When you evaluate marriage, it's bound by these circumstances.

  88. That's why our brothers, many of our Christian Assyrian brothers,

  89. are fearing marriage. When you talk to them about

  90. marriage, there's this. How should we say we're saying

  91. this here, A heartburn reaction, a reflux reaction when you've

  92. when you mentioned marriages. Oh, Robbie, don't talk about

  93. marriages. No, no, no.

  94. It's marriage today and divorce, you know, two years later.

  95. That's why fornications, that is sexual relationships outside of

  96. marriages are so being the norm. And on the increase, by the way,

  97. that does not justify it. Just because marriages are not

  98. guaranteed lack of a better term, it doesn't justify

  99. fornication, because according to One Corinthians, chapter 6,

  100. verses 9 and 10. Beloved, stop.

  101. Just listen to me this few seconds.

  102. Stop what you're doing. I encourage you.

  103. I command you. I encourage you to read the

  104. First Epistle of Saint Paul all to the Corinthians, chapter 6

  105. verses 9 to 10. It specifically clearly

  106. instructs fornicators. Those who are engaging in sex

  107. out of marriage will not enter the Kingdom of heaven unless

  108. they repent. So let's not justify because

  109. marriage is fearful and it's not unpredict, it's unpredictable.

  110. You see, the core issue and problem will all the troublesome

  111. marriages. You'll find that the core issue

  112. is that the couple have not understood that a relationship

  113. in marriage is that of Christ and his church, yet it is still

  114. circumstantial. So off the bat, that investment

  115. which we are using marriage as an example, that investment is

  116. not going to yield profit and grow.

  117. It's not guaranteed to yield profit and grow because it is

  118. circumstantial. However, marriages according to

  119. Christ and only with Christ, where both husband and wife are

  120. valuable and they both count and they are precious.

  121. They're not just the material. Beloved brothers or beloved

  122. sisters, more so beloved sisters and wives.

  123. You're not just the material. According to some other faiths

  124. out there, where the husband can throw acid in your face because

  125. your food is not tasty. It happens.

  126. I've heard it on BBC and I remember I used to listen to

  127. this show called Every Woman. Some of the cases were just very

  128. heartbreaking. No.

  129. With Christ, both a husband and a wife are precious, are

  130. valuable, and when marriages are built upon Christ with Christ,

  131. they will have a great return here and in everlastingly or in

  132. eternity. When marriages are entered into

  133. and embarked on, built upon Ephesians 5 and according to the

  134. unity of the Church and her Christ.

  135. Now though there are there may be trials.

  136. Now I'm not saying just because these marriages, yes, are built

  137. upon Christ and upon Ephesians. 5 And you pray about it, and you

  138. see God's intervention. They will still be trials and

  139. struggles and challenges and heart breaks.

  140. But these circumstances will not destroy and separate.

  141. They will not end up in complete heartache, headache, court cases

  142. and children being used as leverages.

  143. Now I must stress, you may have misunderstood me.

  144. I must stress that I am not whatsoever against or in any way

  145. oppose relationships, Being healthy, obtaining your

  146. education at the highest level, marrying the love of your life

  147. for whom you are too willing to gather all the stars that are in

  148. the sky and lay them at her feet.

  149. Having children, belonging to a family, having friends, and most

  150. definitely being active in attendance in church.

  151. No, no, no, no. And in particular the church.

  152. When I mentioned that you invest in the Church, I'm talking about

  153. people. But when you invest in the

  154. faith, the doctrine, the sacraments, the liturgy, the

  155. services of the church, who is Christ?

  156. You will have, yeah, you will have people that will break your

  157. heart and disappoint you, but you're still with Christ,

  158. beloved. Christ will overcome.

  159. No, no, I'm not against. I'm just saying.

  160. I'm cautioning you out there to remember that outside of Christ,

  161. they all will be positively affected by circumstances.

  162. And we spoke about that in all of life's requirements,

  163. engagements, commitments that you embark on.

  164. Examine that they are done so in the Lord, With the Lord, and by

  165. the Lord build these little houses that you want to begin to

  166. build on the rock of Christ and not the sand of secularism.

  167. That way the unforeseen and normal circumstances will not

  168. have an effective and everlasting damages or damaged

  169. results. Saint Paul writes to Colossians

    Colossians 3:17

  170. chapter 3, verse 17 and everything that you perform in

  171. Word and in works, everything that you want to embark on, Do

  172. in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and give thanks by him.

  173. Wow, listen to this. Give thanks by him to God the

  174. Father. The only Thanksgiving that God

  175. is pleased when we utter and ascribe is only through Jesus

  176. Christ, no one else. We cannot thank God in the name

  177. of Muhammad. God is not pleased with that.

  178. We cannot thank God in the name of Buddha.

  179. God is not pleased with that. We cannot thank God in the name

  180. of Krishna. God is not pleased with that

  181. according to the scriptures. So everything we do, we do in

  182. the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  183. What does that mean? Evaluate everything?

  184. Scrutinize everything through Christ's Measurements Proverbs,

    Proverbs 3:5–6

  185. Chapter 3, verses 5 to 6. Quoted rapidly, but only quoted.

  186. Unfortunately. Trust in the Lord with all thy

  187. heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding.

  188. And I'll dare to add to that lead not upon the understanding,

  189. the measures, the outlook of the world, but more so, and only the

  190. Lords evaluate everything by Christ's standards, measures,

  191. projections and outcomes which will not have any effective

  192. destructive circumstances that will disappoint despair and

  193. bring to destruction. For without him John chapter 15,

    John 15:5

  194. verse 5. Without Jesus Christ we can do

  195. nothing. What we plan to embark on or

  196. invest in life, we need to keep in mind not only the earthly

  197. return. You know when you when you when

  198. you marry. You want to have a a great

  199. relationship. You want to have children, you

  200. want to have a big family, which is great.

  201. These are the the earthly returns, right?

  202. We need to keep in mind not only those returns that are earthly,

  203. but more so the heavenly returns.

  204. You know, I think this sums it all up.

  205. In Matthew chapter 6, verses 19 to 21, Jesus instructs do not

    Matthew 6:19–21

  206. place treasures for yourselves on the earth.

  207. We're moth and corruption. They're your circumstances and

  208. we can go on health and what have you, You know, do not place

  209. treasures for yourselves on the earth.

  210. We're moths and corrosion, this figure, and where thieves break

  211. in and steal but place treasures for yourselves in heaven.

  212. Where neither moth nor corrosion disfigure and where thieves

  213. neither break in nor steal. For where your treasuries.

  214. There is also your heart. I know contextual.

  215. Yes, you may be saying that's contextual, speaking about

  216. wealth and non possessiveness, right?

  217. But this, in some way or another, is what we've been

  218. discussing. Everything you embark on, be

  219. sure to embark on that you will receive your reward in heaven,

  220. including marriage and relationships and health.

  221. Life's provisions are circumstantial.

  222. Beloved. There is one thing, one place,

  223. one person, that which at which and through whom what we are

  224. promised, projected, and provided is not bound

  225. circumstantially. And that is the joy of eternal

  226. life in the Kingdom of heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord

  227. God. Praise and glory be to his name,

  228. now and at all times and forever.

  229. Amen. We hope you enjoyed this week's
