  1. Welcome everybody. Welcome to today's homily forty six point zero

  2. one point ten through seventeen. As we covered these eight

  3. verses here in First Corinthians, an extremely important message for

  4. today's church. And take note, I didn't say churches. And

  5. when we say that today, that means denominations. Let's talk

  6. about my hometown here of Reader, North Dakota. In Reader,

  7. North Dakota, there's a Catholic church, there's a Lutheran church. YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA.

  8. That's what we mean by churches. When we speak in

  9. today's terminology, we're really subconsciously referring to different denominations. And

  10. one thing is a resounding fact in these eight verses

  11. of First Corinthians, chapter one, ten through seventeen that sectarianism

  12. is sin. There's no such thing as denominations of the

  13. Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's fiction. So you

  14. need to really understand that there is no denominationalism. It's

  15. really secretarianism, that's what it is. It's people that have

  16. divided the Body of Christ. So that's pretty startling for

  17. someone to hear it from because in today and this time,

  18. that's just how it's done. It's literally done that way.

  19. People have been born and raised and let's say the

  20. Lutheran Church. People have been born and raised in a

  21. Catholic Church, and they literally think they are the Church,

  22. and they think that the other denominations they're not a part,

  23. they are not one in Christ. This was never intended

  24. nor ever happened in the first three hundred years of Christianity.

  25. It's much like eschatology. Eschatology only had one model for

  26. the first three hundred years of Christianity. It was historic premillennialism.

  27. There was no other eschatology. It wasn't until the Church

  28. was divided and sectionalized. That's what's really happened. We've been

  29. toward to different sections that did not occur until after

  30. the first three hundred years. So we need to understand

  31. that it's very hard for us to read these verses

  32. and accept in our hearts what it's really talking about.

  33. Very hard for us to do today because this is

  34. just a way we've been raised. So let's read these

  35. verses with an open mind, realizing that these denominations are

  36. dead wrong. They have divided the body of Christ, they

  37. have created a schism. That's what the Greek word here

  38. is used in these verses, and that means to rip

  39. or to cut, to divide, to segu will create a section.

  40. That's what it means. So remember that Marianath the Ministries

  41. does all Bible studies in the New James version. The

  42. reason behind that is the manuscript behind the translation is

  43. the Addo Regia New Testament manuscript. So with that in mind,

  44. from the New King James version, and I'll go ahead

  45. and read the stands aheading here it is Sectarianism is sin.

  46. Sectarianism is sin. Vers ten. Now I plead with you, brethren,

  47. by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you

  48. all speak the same thing, and that there be no

  49. divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together

  50. in the same mind and in this same judgment. For

  51. it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren,

  52. that those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you.

  53. Now I say this that each of you says, I

  54. am of Paul, or I am of of Colors, or

  55. I am of Cephus, or I am of Christ? Is

  56. Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you

  57. baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that

  58. I buy baptized none of you, except Christmas and Guias.

  59. Lest anyone should say that I baptized in my own name. Yes,

  60. I baptize the household of Stephanus. Besides, I do not

  61. know whether I baptized any other. For Christ did not

  62. send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not

  63. with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should

  64. be made of no effect. It's good to just get

  65. it straight forward from the first reading, and that's how

  66. it should be done. So take note that this Greek

  67. word here, schism is very important. It's saying that the

  68. body of Christ is being quartered. That's what it said,

  69. That's what it meant. Now take note, how do we

  70. know that. Please remember that the Bible always presents the

  71. four antagonists, the tetriarchy of evil. Always take note in

  72. Judges chapter nine with the riddle of the bramble King

  73. there Judges nine, it gives the olive, the fig, the vine,

  74. and the bramble. We go to Daniel chapter two. It

  75. gives the head of gold, chest an, arms of silver, brawn,

  76. and I are the four antagonists. Daniel chapter seven gives lion, bear, leopard,

  77. and the dreadful beached with the little horn. Daniel eight

  78. has the first horn, the second horn, the third horn,

  79. and the fourth horn with the little spur on it.

  80. In Jul chapter one, we have the cheering locus, the

  81. swarming locus, the crawling locust, and the consuming locus. There's

  82. always four. There are the four great antagonist empires, the

  83. Assyrial Babylonian, the Medo Persian, the Greco Macedonian, and the

  84. Greco Roman. There's always four antagonists. Always, always there is

  85. for antagonists presented by the Bible, God's holy Word. And

  86. that's exactly what these verses are saying. Take note that

  87. it says, I am of paul Apollos, seaphist for Christ.

  88. The household of God is being quartered, it's being divided.

  89. This should give you insight and the clarity of what's

  90. being talked about. This has obviously been devised by our enemy,

  91. the enemy of our souls. Now very important for me

  92. to bring up, because everybody's gonna want to know this.

  93. Who is this Chloe? This Chloe is only mentioned here

  94. and here the Greek is very particular. Take note the

  95. New King James' version translated this as Chloe's household, that

  96. is not in the Greek. That's not what it says.

  97. In the Greek, it says under. It is the Greek

  98. word in the Strong School Ordance fifty two fifty nine

  99. it means to be under, So under Chloe. So is

  100. this a proper name? Is it correct and translating household?

  101. And what does the King James version? Let me switch

  102. over here. The King James versions said them, which are

  103. the uh are of the house of Chloe? Houses? Never

  104. here in the Greek it literally means under Chloe. This

  105. is saying those under Chloe. So let's step back. Do

  106. we have any historical contact for this, Well, yes, we do.

  107. The word chloe means green or young. Shoot, that's what

  108. it means. Could it be saying here those who are

  109. not sanctified, those who have not been filled with the

  110. Holy Spirit? Yet I can't with authorities say that, but

  111. it could be alluding to that green or young foliage.

  112. Goes that are young are dividing. It is also highly well,

  113. I can't say that either. I don't want to say

  114. highly likely or highly probable. You need to understand that

  115. Chloe is also one of the main epitaphs for demeterr.

  116. So this Greek god demet Her. Of course, her worship

  117. in basically involved the worship of the seasons, because you

  118. have this this Greek myth that her daughter was captured

  119. by eighties death and taken to the underworld. She goes

  120. to find her daughter. Anyway, it's the it's the the

  121. dying and resurrecting god Soka, and it's very important that

  122. that prophetically you would realize why again it's being quartered.

  123. Why again, there's four names mentioned here, Paul Apollos, see

  124. this and Christ it's quartered. But it very well could

  125. be that this is a name, and this is a woman,

  126. and these people were meeting in her house. So just

  127. take note. We have no real authority to say what's

  128. going on here? What does that mean? Those under Chloe

  129. We really don't know. We really can't discern that. But

  130. the main point is is that they were being quartered.

  131. And when he presents four different, four different sections, I

  132. mean I should really stated modern terms denominations, but I

  133. need to get it through your head that no, it's

  134. not denominations, it's sections. You've been quartered. So these four sections,

  135. as the body of Christ has been quartered, is very upsetting.

  136. And take note here here the author makes mention that

  137. I am glad that I didn't baptize anymore than I did,

  138. because it's possible that those people I baptized they were

  139. taking on my name instead of Christ. And it's very

  140. possible that Apollos have baptized people. It's also quite possible

  141. that Cephas had baptized people. So and it could be

  142. possible that Apollos maybe lay his hands on them and

  143. they received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but it

  144. was Paul that had baptized them. So he makes it

  145. pretty clear here that just because there's different workings going

  146. on in the body of Christ does not mean there's

  147. four different bodies. And take note that this last verse here,

  148. unless the Cross of Christ should be made no effect.

  149. He wanted to relay this that it's not about a

  150. higher knowledge or mystery, so to speak. Here we have

  151. this this idea from Second Peter, chapter one, verse sixteen.

  152. For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we

  153. made known to you the power and the coming of

  154. our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye witnesses to his majesty.

  155. So just because different Christians perform different functions, let's say communion,

  156. let's say, if you come to my house once a

  157. month and we we do communion, and I facilitate that,

  158. that is no reason for anybody to say they are

  159. under Matthew's that that is improper to do your dividing

  160. the body of Christ. Now, what is the one place

  161. that we know this is the case, when we know

  162. how many different churches there are, and why there are

  163. different churches? We got Revelation chapter one. This is where

  164. the message is relayed most effectively, it says in verse

  165. twelve of Revelation chapter one. Then I turned to seeing

  166. the voice who spoke with me, And having turned, I

  167. saw seven golden lap stands. Maybe I should read the

  168. verse before it, verse eleven, saying I am the Alpha

  169. and the omega, first and the last. Take no, the

  170. Lord Jesus Christ uses quarters. He did it again. These

  171. quarters are extremities. Take no, you have east as opposite

  172. of west. You have north and the south. North is

  173. opposite of south. Here he says alpha and omega first

  174. and the last. He uses four different things to call

  175. your attention that he has not been quartered, he has

  176. not been divided. He is one in those four directions. Anyway,

  177. let me finish, and what you see, write in a

  178. book and send it to the seven churches which are

  179. in Asia, Ephesus, So Maria, Paraglmos, Thieterira, Sardis, Philadelphi, and

  180. let her see it. There is one church. There's one

  181. Christ in seven different locations. There's only one church in Paragamos.

  182. There's only one church in Philadelphia. There's only one church.

  183. They're just separated by distance. They're only separated by distance.

  184. It's the same church in a different location. So here

  185. you get this idea, Verse twelve. Then I turned to

  186. sing the voice that spoke with me, And having turned,

  187. I saw seven golden lamp stands. And in the midst

  188. of the seven lamp stands one like the son of Man,

  189. clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded

  190. about the chest with the golden band. His head and

  191. hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and

  192. his eyes like a flame of fire. His feet were

  193. like fine brass, as if we're fined in a furnace,

  194. and his voice the sound of many waters. In his

  195. right hand, seven stars out of his mouth went sharp

  196. to its sword, and his countenance was like the sun,

  197. shining in its strength. When I saw him, I fell

  198. at his feet dead, But he said, but he laid

  199. his right hand on me, saying, do not be afraid.

  200. I am the first and the last. I am he

  201. who lives, who was dead. And behold, I am alive

  202. forever more a man, and I have the keys of

  203. habies and death right. The things that you're seen, and

  204. the things which are, and the things which will take

  205. place after this, the mystery of the seven stars which

  206. you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden

  207. lamp stands. The seven stars are the angels of these

  208. seven churches, and the seven lamp stands which you saw

  209. are the in churches. So take note. This is most

  210. clearly laid out here. He's making himself perfectly clear that

  211. in the different locations they were still the same church.

  212. There was not the Church of the There wasn't the Church

  213. of Paul in Ephesus. There wasn't the Church of Apollos

  214. also in Ephesus. There wasn't the Church of Sephus in Ephesus.

  215. That's three different churches. Christ is making himself perfectly clear

  216. there's only one church in one location. That's what it is.

  217. If there are multiple churches in one location. Christ has

  218. been divided. That is sin. There is only one church

  219. in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's it.

  220. So let's take a look at this here where I

  221. am at. I've had a friend of mine goading me

  222. along to start our own church. And to be very

  223. forthright with you, we are going to start having our

  224. own gathering here. We've already started having communion here at

  225. our house once a week. Unfortunately, this brother is an

  226. over an hour away. He's like an hour and twenty minutes,

  227. hour and a half away from us, So this will

  228. make it very difficult. It's almost like he needs to

  229. start his own gathering. Where he's at. My gathering is hearing, reader.

  230. This is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. And reader.

  231. So one of the things that he said to me

  232. that really caught my attention because he is a truck

  233. driver and he has funded the starting of more than

  234. a couple of churches in Dickinson, North Dakota, and he

  235. has become exasperated with them, realizing that that's really it's

  236. not biblical. So he has stated to me, and he

  237. said this comment. It really struck me. He said, I

  238. do not want to start another non denominational denomination. And

  239. at first that at first had caught me sideways them,

  240. What did you say? He is used his tithe money

  241. to start churches, and he says he don't want to

  242. do that anymore. He is wanting to start tithing to

  243. this ministry and get this ministry off the ground here locally.

  244. So everybody needs to realize this that if you're a

  245. Catholic and you want to start a gathering, that doesn't

  246. mean you invite Catholics only. You need to invite the Lutherans.

  247. You need to you need to realize that sectarianism is sin.

  248. God never authorised the dividing of his body into so

  249. called denominations. A denomination is a currency, it's not a church.

  250. So this is very important and people realize this. If

  251. you have found yourself in one of these sectarian buildings

  252. and have come to the realization that this building you're

  253. going to is not a ministry, it's certainly not a

  254. ministry in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and

  255. you have come out of the church building setting as

  256. you move forward, realize who you're looking for. It is

  257. of paramount importance that you realize when you meet people

  258. out and about that even though they are lost, they

  259. are holding to the beatitudes. It's those people that you

  260. might want to invite into your gathering place, whether it

  261. be your home or what are your neighbor's homes, It

  262. would be good to start there. And that's exactly what

  263. this friend of mine said. He said that his eyes

  264. have been opened in that he thinks that we should

  265. start inviting people who display good character, those people that

  266. are displaying a righteous character, even though they're lost. You know,

  267. they do not lie. They're nice, you know, they're they're

  268. not they're not evil, they're not contentious. It's these sort

  269. of people we should be inviting to our gatherings in

  270. hopes of saving them and bringing them into the body

  271. of Christ. Food for thought, Food for thought. We might

  272. want to start thinking along those lines, because remember the

  273. Lord Jesus Christ warns you very sternly that when the

  274. apostasy comes, it doesn't come amongst the lost. It comes

  275. from inside the church buildings. That is just a mayer

  276. of fact. It's coming from inside the church buildings. I

  277. hope you take this message to heart. I hope you

  278. commit these verses to memory. I hope that you understand

  279. that dividing the body of Christ is sin. There's no

  280. such thing as denominations. There never was, there's not supposed

  281. to be. And that should be your first hint. That

  282. should be your first clue something is not right. And

  283. I would suggest you do the same thing that I did.

  284. Follow the money, go to the place you attend that

  285. building and demand from their clergy where your tithe money,

  286. and I mean every red scent where it went. What

  287. I found is that some of my tithe money was

  288. being sent to other organizations. When I investigated those organizations,

  289. guess what I found. Those organizations were supporting planned parenthood.

  290. So take some advice. If what's going on in your

  291. local church building is not setting well with you, there's

  292. a reason. Until next time, God bless, godspeed.
