Awakening the Army: A Call to Action | Prophet Jeremiah Johnson

Could you just lift up your hands to the Lord for a moment?

This is what I believe the Lord is saying.

For I am setting things in motion, says the Lord.

I am mobilizing an army here today.

For I call you forth, Gideon.

For even as there is a great war, there is a great fight in your

region and in your territory.

Yes, Miami, yes Indiana, yes, New Jersey, and even New York.

The Lord says, gideon, the way that you see yourself is not the

way I see you.

For the Lord says that as I look upon my sons and daughters in

this hour, yes, I see mighty warriors.

For the Lord says that I am putting to the sword.

I am coming with the sword in this season, and I am cutting off

the head of insecurity.

I am cutting off the head of the fear of man.

For no longer will you quake in your boots.

No longer will a crippling, paralyzing spirit come upon you.

For the Lord says, you were indeed born for such a time as this.

For the Lord says, you shall make most of your time in the coming

years.

For the Lord says, I am removing delays.

I am removing restraints.

I am rolling away the gravestone of regret, and I am releasing

fresh resurrection power today.

So we speak over Gideon's army arise.

We speak over Gideon's army come up out of that winepress of

shame and guilt and condemnation.

And we prophesy over this generation.

You were born for such a time as this.

So come into your destiny.

Come into how the Father sees you.

For surely your best days are not behind you, but before you, says

the Lord.

Can we give God a big round of applause?

We had an amazing staff retreat yesterday where I was given

the privilege to pour into the staff and the campus pastors and

at service today, I felt like as we were worshiping and God was

really moving powerfully, the Lord said to me, in the worship there

was an awakening, but now in the Word, there's going to be an

activation.

Believe that what we just experienced was an awakening.

How many of you felt that?

An awakening in the spirit, but now there's going to be an activation.

So if you have your bibles or your iPhones, would you turn to Ephesians

Ephesians 4 · chapter mention

chapter 4?

I've written many books on apostolic and prophetic ministry

Ephesians Chapter four.

Father, thank you for the next few moments in your word.

Lord, we do pray that you would activate the army here in New

York and Indiana and Miami.

Lord, awaken and activate a global army in the earth.

Jesus, we love you and it's in your name that we pray.

Amen.

I'm going to begin reading out of Ephesians chapter 4, verse 11,

Ephesians 4:11

it says, and he being Jesus, gave some as apostles, some as prophets,

some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers for the equipping

of the saints for the work of ministry or for the work of service

to the building up of the body of Christ.

I won't go into it very long, but basically what I see in the Scriptures

here In Ephesians chapter 4 is Jesus giving His body 5 ministries.

Apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors and evangelists.

He has given these ministries to reveal himself, to demonstrate

himself, and to manifest himself in the earth.

It's very clear that not all are called to the fivefold ministry,

but some are called to the fivefold ministry.

And those who are called to the fivefold ministry have a very

specific function and purpose.

And that function and purpose is to equip the saints or to equip

the body to do the work of the ministry.

How many of you are tracking with me?

Really simple.

Jesus died.

He rose again.

He's sitting at the right hand of the Father.

He gave five ministries to the body for the training and equipping

of the, of the, of the.

The saints.

So who is called to do the work of the ministry?

Look around you.

Well, brother, what's wrong with America?

What's up with all the darkness?

What's up with all the deception?

Man, the preachers just aren't doing their job well.

As I said at the 9:00, one of our problems in the church is that

many preachers have left the faith, but they haven't left the

pulpit.

So yes, there is great deception and there is great error

that's taking place among the five fold ministry.

But this morning as we're here desiring to awaken and activate an

army in the earth, we have to come to grips with in the westernized

church that we are operating out of an unbiblical paradigm concerning

the ministry.

Many people underneath a new covenant still have old covenant

mindsets where our mindset towards the church and its leaders

are.

Moses, you go to the mountain and tell me what God is saying.

People treat their pastor or they treat their leader and say,

hey, I go to church here, I give my tithe here, I'm going to

pay you this week to meet with God rather than me meeting with God.

And underneath a new covenant, which we are in, by the way.

We have to realize that the precious blood of Jesus was shed

at Calvary for more than an hour on Sunday and a couple of bucks

in an offering.

I want to deliver you and break you free from the power of

the religious spirit that has lied to you and told you you got

born again.

So now you can find a church and sit on the back of a pew and

rot until the Rapture.

I want to tell you this morning that every single person

in this room has a grace, has a gifting, has a calling.

You have gold in you because you have Jesus in you.

You have something precious.

You have something.

You have something that is valuable.

You have something that's of worth.

And we are currently witnessing a tremendous shift in

the global body of Christ out of westernized religious thinking.

And we are going back to the ancient past, the past of the Bible,

where God is going to raise up an army of saints.

He is going to restore the priesthood of all believers.

Believers.

And we're going to see thousands, hundreds of thousands.

I dare say we are going to see millions of Christians in the west

be ignited and activated and awakened, that they might do the

work of ministry in their sphere of influence.

I know that I'm daring.

I know that I am operating, encouraged this morning to confront

Egyptian theology.

I am here underneath an assignment from the Lord to speak

to Egyptian religious systems in the west and say, let my people

go.

It is time that you get broken out.

God, I just pray that you would.

You would come to my work.

That's why you're there.

Lord, there's just all these demons in my territory and all these

generational curses in my family.

That's why you're there.

Oh, Lord, I've got somebody in the hospital and I'm mad at the pastor

because he can't come.

What if you're supposed to be the pastor?

What I'm inviting us to do this morning is to unplug your feeding

tube to a pulpit.

And I am inviting a generation to learn how to eat on God.

I am inviting you how to feast upon the Lord of glory and that we

might reel realize that in Christ Jesus, our glorious inheritance

as the saints, the hope of his calling is that you and I might give

Jesus his full inheritance in the earth.

Hallelujah.

So we're leaving apathetic, we're leaving complacent.

We're no longer an audience, we're an army.

I'm going to unplug my feeding tube from Sunday morning Christianity,

drive through sermonettes, produce Christianettes.

I'm going to stop complaining that I'm not getting fed at church

because we were never meant to get fed at church.

I get fed in the secret place every day.

Another leader fell.

That's okay.

My leader didn't fall.

His name is Jesus.

He's the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords.

Come on, somebody.

It's time for an army.

It's time for a generation to be activated and commissioned in

the God given grace that we have been given.

Satan has effectively created vacuums in the west where we do not

have a biblical mindset that says God wants to infiltrate the

government.

Let's just complain about how bad the school system is and why

drag queens are reading to children in libraries.

Let's just cry out to God about all the evil rather than getting

a revelation that I was born for such a time as this.

And I'll start in prayer.

But I'm going to infiltrate the education system.

I'm going to run for city council.

I'm going to run.

I'm going to fill that demonic vacuum with the glory of God.

I'm going to move beyond moaning and complaining on Facebook

about how sick the world is getting.

And I'm going to lift up my voice at work.

I'm going to lift up my voice in the school systems.

Come on.

I came today to talk to some educators.

I came to talk to some lawyers, some doctors, some marketplace

people.

I came to talk to some Priscillas and Aquilas.

I came to talk to some modern day ministers who will never have

a job in a church.

But guess what?

You were born for such a time as this.

You can do the work of ministry and it not be on Sunday.

Oh, hallelujah.

Okay, can I show you?

We got this great slideshow going.

Okay.

Where am I getting my theology?

I'm getting it from the Word of God.

I'm trying to show you that Jesus gave five ministries to the

church to equip the saints to do the work of ministry.

Our mindset in the west is all the church leaders do the work of

ministry and we just pay them to do it.

You guys have your ministry on Sunday and then I just hang on till

I can get back the next Sunday.

Wrong, error, denounce it, decry it, get delivered from it.

Jesus is coming to set the captives free.

Go to that next slide.

Let me give you more scripture.

This is familiar.

You guys know the great commission, Matthew 28?

Let's read it together.

Go ahead, Lift up your voice.

Go ahead, read it.

This is terrible.

Oh, my gosh.

Okay.

We don't have much time.

Okay.

Lord Jesus, we do need revival.

Okay.

Okay.

Here we go.

Okay.

So Jesus in Matthew 28 commissions his disciples to go out.

Or the Greek would say, as you go, wherever you are, as you go,

go make disciples.

He doesn't say, go win converts.

He doesn't say, go say a sinner's prayer.

He says, go out and make disciples, teaching them to obey

everything that I commanded you to do.

I'm just paraphrasing, paraphrasing.

But are you getting this?

The Great Commission was never optional.

The Great Commission is evidence of salvation.

One of our challenges in the west has been we have made things

optional that in God's eyes, are mandatory.

Again, the fruit of salvation is your making.

You're making.

You are a fisher of men.

You are sharing the gospel.

You are an ambassador.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And again, my.

My plea with this is, this is not just for preachers.

Matthew 28 isn't just supposed to be something that five ministries

talk about.

This is your inheritance as a believer in Jesus Christ, that you

have been commissioned to have a Bible study at work.

You have been commissioned to pray when people need prayer.

You have been given permission to infiltrate darkness, to cast out

devils, to heal the sick.

All authority has been given to us as believers, and the culture

around us is never going to change as long as just a few more

preachers get it.

If church planting was enough, we would have already won America

to Jesus.

What I'm going to tell you is.

Yes.

Do I believe that more church plants are needed in Miami and Indiana

and New York?

All the absolutely.

But we will never fully execute the authority and the dominion

Jesus has given us unless the saints begin to get mobilized, unless

we begin to take on the very things that Jesus died for.

Folks, Jesus died for more than Sunday morning Christianity.

Jesus died for more than coming and sitting to someone else.

Preach.

When are you going to preach?

Oh, they didn't come to the hospital.

When were you not qualified to pray for the sick?

Does Jesus live in you telling you the word of the Lord earlier

was Gideon, where are you?

Where are the Gideons in this room and people watching online that

in the hour of America's greatest history, you're on the sideline

and God is saying, get in the game.

It's time to get off the bench.

It's time to get delivered from American Westernized Christianity.

And it's Time to go all in for Jesus.

One more scripture.

Psalm chapter 2.

Psalms 2 · chapter mention

Psalm chapter 2 is an interesting verse.

Psalms 2 · chapter mention

It's a conversation between the Godhead underneath an old covenant.

I will announce the decree of the Lord.

He said to me, this is God the Father talking to God the Son.

You are my son.

Today I have fathered you.

Ask it of me, and I will certainly give the nations as your

inheritance and the ends of the earth as your possession.

This is David writing, and he's hearing a conversation where

God the Father is saying to God the Son, ask of me, and I will

give the nations as your inheritance.

Part of the need in the earth for you and I to cooperate, for you

and I to participate in what Jesus has done.

Is it so much more than my ministry and my church and my call?

Folks, we are giving Jesus his full inheritance in every nation

of the earth.

What?

Have you started praying this prayer?

Jesus, I ask that you would receive your full inheritance in

New York, and I believe that you will fulfill your inheritance

in New York by raising up men and women in every sphere of society.

Lord, I ask that you would raise up men and women in Africa

that it would no longer be about our ministries and our fame.

Jesus, we know you want your full inheritance in Africa.

So everything that you died for, everything that you rose again

for, I want it released in my life.

See how awkward it is in the west?

Because it's all about me.

It's all about me.

Jesus.

What if Jesus is not a stepladder to our destiny?

What if he is destiny?

So let's go to these slides.

Okay, so I've given you some scriptural foundation for five ministries

being given to the body to train the saints for the work of

ministry.

The saints do the work of ministry.

We've talked about Jesus giving the great commission, commissioning

saints, each one of us to make disciples.

We just read Psalm 2 where Jesus is asking the Father for his

full inheritance in the earth.

And I want to introduce you to a paradigm, okay?

It's just a simple way of thinking to contextualize what this

can look like in your life, okay?

People say, well, brother, the seven mountains aren't in the Bible.

It's false doctrine.

Let me tell you again, the seven mountains the slides we're

going to go through are simply a way to help us contextualize Ephesians

4, Matthew 28, and Psalm 2.

So there are people in this room that you have been called to

a certain sphere of society.

Okay?

So here.

There are people in this room called to the government, okay?

These Are governors, mayors, public officials, clerks, who in

this room currently works in the government that you can say,

okay, this is your sphere of influence that you are learning how

to do the work of ministry in the government.

You are learning how to make disciples in the government.

You are learning how to give Jesus his full inheritance in the

government.

Next slide.

Education.

How many educators do we have here?

Teachers, principals, college, high school.

Next one.

Media, creatives, tv, social, influencers, directors.

Then you have the church, mountain, elders, deacons, church

staff and saints.

Then you have the family mountain, foster care, adoption agencies,

and the family unit.

Then you have arts and entertainment, musicians, painters,

influencers, cinema, drama.

Then you have business, entrepreneurs, finance, CEOs, employees.

Did everyone in this room find yourself there in a room full of

just one group of people or people watching online?

The Lord has called every single saint, every born again blood

believer.

He has placed you in a certain sphere of society one more time so

that you might do the work of the ministry in that sphere, so that

you might make disciples in that sphere, so that you might give

Jesus his full inheritance in that sphere.

Is that pretty clear?

So here's why we don't do this.

Next slide.

This is how we read Ephesians 4.

We in the west have wrongly interpreted and believed that all

the work of the ministry is done in one mountain.

So now we all fight because I didn't get the mic.

We all fight because I didn't get to preach on Sunday.

Failing to realize your podium is tomorrow.

No.

If I was Satan.

If I was Satan and I could come up with something that would

allow me to primarily rule six mountains and trap a bunch of dead,

dry, stale Christians in one mountain.

This is what I would do.

And I would just let them moan and cry and complain about all the

evil in the other mountains.

Meanwhile, we're still fighting in our one.

And I'm having a visual this morning because as we shift, because

there is a global shift at in the world, it's happening here at

V1.

We are going to see the priesthood of all believers.

We are going to see men and women in every sphere of society

begin to give Jesus his full inheritance in the earth.

Okay, so here comes the prophet guy, right?

And I.

Let me give you an example of what we do.

I stand this brother up.

Go ahead, stand up in the blue.

Okay.

The prophet comes to town and the prophet says, brother, I see

that you're called to the ministry.

Here's what we do in the West.

Oh, he's called to pastor.

Why did you just associate ministry with one Mountain.

Do you know.

Thank you, brother.

Do you know how many people in the church feel disqualified?

Feel like they haven't arrived, Feel like they're disappointing

God because they haven't become a preacher yet?

Folks, there are men and women in this room.

For decades, you have been carrying a false burden and dare

I say, a false religious wine skin that by the spirit of the Lord,

I have come to remove from your life.

You want to talk about revival and reformation?

So wait a minute.

So all of a sudden the measure of success is not just what happens

on a Sunday, not how many butts are in seats.

The measure of success is how many we sent to do the work of the

ministry.

I want you to just sit in this for a minute, folks.

I get.

This is like all these people, oh, you're in the nar.

Oh, you're a false.

I'm like, no, it's in the Bible.

Jesus died so the saints could do the work of ministry.

Jesus died so that we could make disciples.

Jesus died so that we could give him his full inheritance.

And it's time for men and women to grab the baton that Jesus

has been giving them for 2,000 years.

It's time to renounce Western nigh spectating.

I'm an audience.

It's time to become an army.

It's time to become activated.

It's time to put the.

It's time to put the devil on notice.

It's time to step into the vacuum that the devil has created.

Okay, so here's how it's supposed to work.

You can do that.

Oh, well.

Welcome to Christianity.

So what if this is not the field?

What if this is the locker room?

It's like Sunday is the Super Bowl.

Sunday is the Folks, you spent two hours here.

You're going to spend hours and hours and hours at work, at the

grocery store, at the gas station.

So I guess we just turn God off then.

No, if we can turn God off and on, maybe we're not born again.

And it's just.

It's wild.

A lot of us formerly served Satan.

Radically, right?

Apparently we were wild ones for the devil, but now we're tame

ones for Jesus.

It's like when we were serving the devil, it didn't matter how late

we were at the club.

It didn't matter how many drinks, how many people.

I mean, we just.

More, more, more.

But what's happened is people have come into the Christian faith

and they have been neutered.

They have become domesticated, and we have become in the West, a

bunch of domesticated kitty cats.

When my Bible says the righteous are as bold as lions.

And God is looking for some bold lions and lionesses who are

going to begin to view your Monday to Friday as your assignment,

as your sphere of influence.

And we need to begin to say, Lord, your kingdom come, your will

be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Lord, I repent for keeping my feeding tube plugged into a preacher

24 7.

And I'm going to commit this day to become part of the end time

army that God is going to raise up in the earth.

Oh God, would you raise up righteous educators?

Would you raise up teachers in the school systems, principals?

Lord, I pray for marketplace individuals.

Lord, raise up the Josephs.

God, raise up the Daniels.

Come on, help me Lord, I'm asking that you'd raise up the esters

in the government.

Lord, I'm asking that you raise up the Joshua's in the media.

I'm telling you some of you have thrown down your dream because

it didn't fit into a religious box.

And the Lord is saying today I am releasing you.

I am loosing you, I am freeing you.

Oh, you've cried out for change.

You've cried out for me to free you from your depression.

The reason why you're depressed is because you don't fit

into one of the seven mountains.

But I declare to you today, there's more mountains, there's more

territories, there's more spheres of influence.

I'm called to the ministry.

Yes, you are.

And by the way, isn't marriage a ministry?

Isn't parenting a folks?

This whole we have separated clergy from laity.

We have handed off all of this stuff to leaders who are going to

fail us anywhere anyways.

And anywhere.

And the Lord is bringing about a mindset shift.

He's bringing about a paradigm.

And what I feel today is he's calling Gideon out.

We're almost done.

Next slide.

So there's this battle about revival and reformation and I just

want to help us for a moment.

Revival is the inheritance of the church mountain.

I want to try to continue to help some of our theology.

Okay?

The word revival is not in the New Testament because they didn't

need a word for what they were living in.

So as long as we fail to sustain, in other words, Acts is

not a historical account, it's a blueprint for today.

So long as our modern churchianity fails to meet the standard

of the New Testament, we will always need revival.

There is always going to be a need for the revival of the saints

in the house of God, that we might rightly prioritize who Jesus

really is.

So I am saying 1000% revival.

Revival.

Revival.

We will always need revival as long as we're breathing air in the

West.

Are you following me?

Because we're living in a church culture that is bent on convenience

and comfort, which are enemies of the gospel.

Those are enemies of the gospel.

Comfort and convenience.

Enemies of the gospel.

Until we deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow him and put

Jesus at the center of our lives, our marriages, and our families.

We need revival.

Amen.

Last slide.

Here we go.

Revival leads to reformation.

Revival is the reviving of hearts and lives.

Reformation has to do with systems and structures.

A revived church fully coming into their inheritance begins to

shake the other mountains.

But you can't have reformation without revival.

A lot of people want to give up on the church.

They want to say, no more church mountain.

Without realizing that reformation must come through revival

in the church.

One more slide.

So if you found yourself in a mountain of influence, here's a strategy

for you.

Number one, pray.

I want you today to pray for this place that the Lord has given

you, this sphere of influence, this job, this placement.

Begin to pray and say, lord, thank you for giving me this place

instead so that I can bring about your will.

Number two, preach the gospel well, brother, if I preach the gospel,

I'll get fired.

Well, it's time to trust God.

He'll get you another one.

Well, brother, do you have a lunch break?

You can pray well, brother, I've seen New York traffic.

Good grief.

You can definitely pray.

Pray, preach the gospel and then influence the world around you.

Jesus said, occupy till I come.

I believe personally that the fullness of God's kingdom will only

come when he returns.

But I personally believe that we fail so short, we fall so short

of giving Jesus what he so deserves because we're trapped in

one mountain and not saying, lord, use me in all of them.

Would you bow your heads with me?

I believe that God began to awaken an army through worship.

And now I believe that God is activating the army at V1.

He's lifting up his voice over Indiana, over Miami, New Jersey,

New York, the online community.

And he's saying, yes, you are called to ministry.

Lord, today in Jesus name, we part ways with religious mindsets

that have hindered your work in our lives.

Lord, I pray that you would lift off disappointment over many

people in this room who have only ever believed ministry looks

like working for a church or a ministry now.

Lord, just as you did with Gideon.

I'm asking that you would show us how you see us.

Gideon was afraid.

He was full of fear.

But God, you said, I'm with you, mighty warrior.

God is speaking to the army today here, saying, I'm with you.

I'm for you, not against you.

That which you seek out there is already inside of you.

His name is Jesus.

Thank you, Lord.

Thank you, Lord.

Just put your hand over your.

Your heart.

Lord, I pray for fire on the heart of the church today.

Lord, I pray for miracles and salvations and deliverances to break

out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, that your kingdom

would know no end.

I see God writing checks.

I really feel like a lot of you, you have a blank check, and

you've been asking God to authorize something in the wrong

mountain, and that's why you don't have the money.

Lord, I'm asking today that you would help us all to make sure

some of us, it's multiple spheres.

Others of us were realizing we're in the wrong sphere.

But, Lord, we're trusting you that your will is your bill.

If you're called to the marketplace, will you stand?

You're called to the marketplace.

We just lift up your hands.

How many of you are believing God for more guys, let's go after

this for a minute.

Lord, I'm asking, Lord, for more divine influence and favor.

I feel like some people in this room, you believe God wants

you poor.

You believe like God wants you to work for somebody the rest of

your life.

You are called to prosper.

You are called to employ others.

Lord, I just pray all across this room that you would awaken dreams,

that you would awaken hope again.

Lord, I pray that you would release favor, favor, favor, favor.

There's an anointing coming upon real estate date.

There's an anointing here to acquire property.

God is.

I see him releasing it globally.

Wow.

I prophesied to you over the next about four years, there is an

open window coming to the west for invention.

Wow.

The Lord is even.

He is about to level some mountains.

Wow.

We are about to witness the leveling of mountains.

I see that medical mountain falling.

Wow.

I see.

I see something coming in the medical.

That's going to flip it upside down.

The Lord is going to bring reformation in this mountain.

The Lord is reforming even social media.

Come on.

Even as you're sitting.

I just want to wait on the Lord two more minutes.

God, I'm asking in this room for a wave of divine empowerment,

for holy ghost ideas that you would bless your people.

You raised up Daniel.

You raised up Joseph even in a time of famine and caused them to

prosper.

You gave them wisdom.

More, Lord.

More, Lord.

You are called to the ministry.

You are called to the ministry.

You are called to the ministry.

You are called to the ministry.

Will you not believe it today?

More, Lord.

More, Lord, I'm telling you, there's a divine moment here.

V1 is about to cross over this church, and these campuses are going

to be full of the army of the Lord, of a generation of ministers

who rose to walk out the great commission in every sphere of society.

Education, education, education.

Lord, I thank you for that mother that's burdened that grandmother

that's burdened.

Lord, I thank you that you're making inroads into the local government.

Let the dreamers awaken.

Let the dreamers awaken.

In Jesus name is God good?

Does Jesus deserve all the glory, all the honor and all the

praise?

Can we just give him a big round of applause this morning?
