Do you.
-
Post Matthew and Maria you know today in Easter and
-
that's very important podcast transfiguration of cod so we are
-
more enough of ministries things transfer. That is pretty mind blowing,
-
right when you look at the text itself and you
-
realize that, huh, something is going on here. So did
-
you did you look over the text? Mariah?
-
I actually did.
-
Really, it doesn't seem like to me you're too prepared.
-
I read it.
-
There's a lot of things to read.
-
Really well, why don't you tell me what happened? So
-
pretty speaking, mm hmm.
-
So Laijah and he was threatened by Jezebel. He fled
-
to the mountain of Forbe. It's totally what I said,
-
and uh he uh basically will yet see God? That
-
he spoke with God directly, And the same thing happened
-
with Moses on Mount Orb He spoke to God when
-
he was in the tent. And then Jesus he was
-
on a mountain. He was on any specific mountain that
-
we know of, but Peter and John and James saw
-
the transfiguration. Jesus he was on the mountain and they
-
saw him speaking with Lussia and Moses who down.
-
The mot So pretty interesting stuff when you put the
-
dots together. But you're right, the transfiguration account all three accounts,
-
does not mention what mountainous was. But to me, it's
-
fairly obvious which mountain works. And take note that that's
-
called a couple of things. In One King's chapter nineteen,
-
it's called Korb, the mountain of God. So that takes
-
it to a different level. Right, and do you realize that, well,
-
just just the circumstances. Let's read the first circumstance. Why
-
don't you read for us Exodus chapter thirty three, pastor,
-
and read aloud to everybody? Can hear you?
-
Haly go need it all by myself, the whole chapter. Yep,
-
you watch me, there're what versus all of it? Okay,
-
Then the lords both to Moses depart. Go up from here,
-
you and the people whom you have brought up from
-
the land of Egypt to the land of which I
-
swore to Abraham Isaac Jacob saying to your descendants, I
-
will give it. I will sen an angel before you,
-
and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite,
-
the Parasite, the Hite, and the Jebbi site go up
-
to a land flowing with milk and honey, or I
-
will not go up in your midst, because you are
-
an obstinate.
-
People, and I might destroy you on the way.
-
When the people heard this sad word, they went into mourning,
-
and none of them put on his ornaments. For the
-
Lord had said to Moses, say to the sons of Israel,
-
you are an obstinate people. Should I go up in
-
your midst for one moment, I would destroy you. Now, therefore,
-
put off your ornaments from you, that I may know
-
what I shall do with you. So the sons of
-
Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments. From Mount Harab onward.
-
Now Moses used to take the tent and put it
-
outside the camp, a good distance from the camp, and
-
he called it the tent of Meeting. And everyone who
-
sought the Lord would go out to the tent of Meeting,
-
which was outside the camp. And it came about whenever
-
Moses went out to the tent, that all the people
-
would arise and stand each of the entrance of his
-
tent and gaze after Moses until he entered the tent.
-
Whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would
-
descend and stand on the entrance of the tent, and
-
the Lord would speak with Moses. When all the people
-
saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of
-
the tent, all the people would arise and worship each
-
at the entrance of his tent. Does the Lord used
-
to speak to Moses face to face, just as a
-
man speaks to his friend. When Moses returned to the camp,
-
he servant Joshua, the son of Noun, the young man
-
would not depart from her tent. When Moses said to
-
the Lord to see you say to me and bring
-
up this people. But you yourself have not let me
-
know whom you will send with me. Moreover, you have said,
-
I have known you by name, and you have also
-
found favor in my sight. Now, therefore I pray you,
-
if I have found favor in your sight, let me
-
know your ways, that I may know you, so that
-
I may find favor in your sight. Consider too, that
-
this nation is your people. And he said, my presence
-
shall go with you, and I will give you rest.
-
Then he said to him, if your presence does not
-
go with us, do not lead us up from here,
-
For how can it be known that I have found
-
favor in your sight I and your people. Is it
-
not by your going with us, so that we I
-
and your people may be distinguished from all other people
-
who are upon the face of the earth. The Lord
-
said to Moses, I will also do this thing of
-
which you have spoken, for you have found favor in
-
my sight, and I have known your name. Then Moses said,
-
I pray you show me your glory. And he said,
-
I myself will make all my goodness pass before you,
-
and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you,
-
and I will be gracious to who I will be gracious,
-
and I will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.
-
But he said, you cannot see my face, for no
-
man can see me and live. Then the Lord said, behold,
-
there is a place by me, and you shall stand
-
there on the rock, and it will come about all
-
my glorious passing by. That I will put you in
-
the cloud of the rock and cover you with my
-
hand until I have passed by. Then I will take
-
my hand away, and you shall see my back, but
-
my face shall not be seen.
-
So pretty important the location here, what was happening, what
-
was going on? And more important, like he kept saying
-
the presence. Now what is what is God in the
-
present form? Of course, that is Jesus Christ. So this
-
cloud is very particular. It seems like this cloud, how
-
do I say that? It would seem that this cloud
-
has something to do with the essence of God the Father.
-
It has something to do with the essence of Heaven itself.
-
And on the next part we're going to read in
-
the first Kings it said that there was a there
-
was a violent wind, and then there was an earthquake,
-
and then there was fire. It was a gentle.
-
Wind, right strong wind? Who was it a cloud?
-
We'll see one thanks. For sure? A cloud is only visible, right, yes, Well,
-
there's a problem with that because Eliger didn't see anything
-
because he covered his face, right, But we can assume
-
from the other instances that that's why this narrative is different.
-
He covered his eyes. There's no way for you to
-
perceive that a cloud is there of sight. It is
-
completely silent, regardless of wind, rain, whatever, he can you
-
can only see a cloud. You can only see a cloud.
-
So one thing's for sure. Well, I have you talk
-
about this in a second. But this aspect ties into
-
the conversion of Saul into Paul, because Paul did see
-
something and it created scales on his eyes and made
-
blind so and he bore testimony that this was the
-
revelation of Jesus Christ. So anyway, that being the case,
-
it's good that you point that out about the cloud.
-
And we need to realize that when this happens to Elijah,
-
he covers his face, so this could be the missing
-
element there. So why don't you read for us First
-
Team's nineteen twenty one verses I don't know n nineteen
-
now you said you're edit you.
-
Did, and then I who was.
-
Okay?
-
Now, Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and
-
how he had killed all the prophets with the sword.
-
Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, show me
-
the gods due to me, and even more if I
-
do not make your life as the life of one
-
of them by tomorrow about this time, and he was
-
afraid and arose and ran for his life and came
-
to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servants there.
-
Servant left his servant there, but he himself went to
-
day's journey into the wilderness and came and sat down
-
into the under a juniper's tree. And he requested for
-
himself that he might die, and said, it is enough now, Lord,
-
take my life, for I am not better than my father's.
-
He lay down and slept under a juniper tree, and
-
behold there was an angel touching him, and he said
-
to him, arise, eat. Then he looked, and behold there
-
was at his head a bread cake baked on hot stones,
-
and a drawer of water. So he ate and drank
-
and lay down again. The Angel of the Lord came
-
again a second time and touched him and said, a rise, eat,
-
because the journey is too great for you. So he
-
arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength
-
of that food forty days and forty nights to Horim,
-
the Mountain of God. When he came there to a
-
cave and lodged there, and behold, the word of the
-
Lord came to him, and he said to him, what
-
are you doing here, Elijah? And he said, I have
-
been very zealous for the Lord, the God of Hosts,
-
and the sons of Israel have forsaken their covenant, torn
-
down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword.
-
And I am alone, and I alone am left, and
-
they seek my life to take it away. So he said,
-
go forth and stand on the mountain before the Lord.
-
And behold, the Lord was passing by, and a great
-
strong wind who was rending the mountains and breaking in
-
peaces the rocks before the Lord. But the Lord was
-
not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake,
-
but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the
-
earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire.
-
And after the fire is sound of a gentle blowing.
-
When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face and his
-
mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of
-
the cave. And behold, the voice came to him and said,
-
what are you doing here, Elijah? And he said, I
-
have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of Hosts,
-
for the sons of Israel will have forsaken your covenant,
-
poured down your altars, and killed your prophets with his sword.
-
And I alm and am left, and they seek my
-
life to take it away. The Lord said to him,
-
and go return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus,
-
and when you have arrived, you shall Annoin Haziel being
-
over Aaron and Jehu, the son of Nimshe, you shall
-
annoint king over Israel. And Elisha, the son of Schaffat
-
of Avram Mahola.
-
They said that right close enough.
-
You shall annoint as prophet in your place. It shall
-
come about the one who escapes from the sword of
-
Hazael Je who shall put to death, and the one
-
who escapes from the sword of je who Elishah shall
-
put to death. Yet I will leave seventy thousand in Israel,
-
all the knees that have not bowed the ball at
-
every mouth that has not kissed him. So he departed
-
from there and found Elisha, the son of Shaffat, while
-
he was plowing, with twelve pairs of oxen before him,
-
and he with the twelve, and Elijah passed over to
-
him and threw his mantle on him. He left the
-
oxen and ran after Elijah and said, please, let me
-
kiss my father and my mother, and then I will
-
go follow you. And he said to him, go back again,
-
for what have I done to you till we return
-
from following him, And took the pair of oxen and
-
sacrificed them and boiled their flesh for the implumens of
-
the oxen and gave it to the people, and they ate.
-
Then he arose and followed Elijah and ministered to him.
-
So same mountain, same place here. It's called Horn of
-
the Mountain of God for a reason. These backstories are
-
important to know that most people don't realize that, well, Jesus, Peter, Dames,
-
and John went up on a high mountain. They went
-
up on a mountain, they went somewhere, and on this
-
mountain they met God in a cloud. Now, the crazy
-
thing about it is is the particulars of all three
-
versions of it compliment one another, but they're not the same.
-
And it's pretty especially what happens to the eyewitnesses, especially
-
what is said about the event, what Jesus says about it.
-
Jesus calls this event something, and it's not what everybody
-
else calls it, but Jesus calls it something, and it's
-
pretty pretty startling to me. And this cloud is an
-
association with it. So I'm going to read this from
-
the first account Matthew, chapter seventeen, verses one through thirteen.
-
Listen very carefully, listen very closely. Is everything unstated here
-
is massively important. It's details. Now after six days Jesus
-
took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up
-
on a high mountain by themselves, and he was transfigured
-
before them. His face shone like the sun, and his
-
clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses
-
and Elijah appeared to them, talking with him. Then Peter
-
answered and said, to Jesus, Lord, it is good for
-
us to be here. If you wish, let us make
-
three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, and one
-
for Elijah. While he was still speaking, behold, a bright
-
cloud overshadowed them, And suddenly a voice came out from
-
the cloud, saying, this is my beloved son, in whom
-
I'm well pleased. Hear him, And when his disciples heard it,
-
they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. But
-
Jesus came and touched them and said, a rise, do
-
not be afraid. When they lifted up their eyes, they
-
sold no one but Jesus. Only now, as they came
-
down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, tell the vision
-
to no one until the Son of Man is risen
-
from the dead. And his disciples asked him, saying, why
-
do the scribes say that Elijah must come first. Jesus
-
answered and said to him, Indeed, Elijah is coming first,
-
and we restore all things. But I say to you
-
that Elijah has come already. And they did not know
-
him about, but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise,
-
the son of Man is about to suffer at their hands.
-
Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of
-
John the Baptist. What's your thoughts on this version? You
-
don't know. One things for sure, Peter didn't know. He
-
comes up with some crazy stuff. Hey, let's make a tabernacle,
-
one for you, one.
-
For other random guys.
-
Well, they were.
-
You know.
-
Let me ask you this. How did they know who
-
it was? One thing's for sure. This text never said
-
that anybody announced, Hey, this is Moses talking. Nobody said it.
-
In the one Luke, it said that they were sleeping
-
and they just woke up and saw him.
-
Talking to guys, which takes it to a different level.
-
Right.
-
But the only way you could have known who was there,
-
because like I said, they weren't an ounce. The only
-
way you could know is know what Moses had said.
-
You would have had to have known beforehand what Elijah
-
said to him, and if you saw some guy talking
-
to Jesus say the same exact thing that Moses said
-
to God, you would realize that, oh, my goodness, what
-
God was talking about with Moses being his presence, His
-
presence is the Lord Jesus Christ, and Peter would have
-
known that's Moses. Then the next person to speak was Elijah.
-
And when Elijah said what it was that Elijah had said,
-
and his face is covered up, Peter immediately knew he's
-
talking to God. He's talking to Jesus, right, And that's
-
what God the Father proclaimed. This is my son listened
-
to him, and we never get to know what was said.
-
Or do be.
-
The responses that God gave and the two narratives they
-
had to have been given by the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
And when you read the count and Exendus thirty three,
-
when God is talking, that is Jesus' response to what
-
Moses had said. And Peter's like, oh my goodness, that's
-
got to be Moses.
-
Well, and if you were listening to the conversation, if
-
you would have been listening, would have been Peter who
-
would have beensening the conversation. It was pretty evident that
-
he was talking about Moses, because he later released was
-
saying the names of Laishide.
-
Right.
-
He said their names even though nobody had told him
-
who they were, So he must have realized, oh my goodness,
-
I am seen God talked to Mooses and Elijah. That's
-
the only way he could have known who it was
-
was by the words he knew Accodus thirty and he
-
knew First Kings Chapter nineteen. Crazy. It's crazy, so let
-
me read the next one. We get more details here
-
in Mark chapter nineteen.
-
Mark.
-
Now, I can't talk. You're contagious, Mark nineteen one through thirteen.
-
And he said to them, surely I would say to
-
you that there are some standing here who will not
-
taste death till they see the Kingdom of God present
-
with our Now why do we include that, because he's
-
getting ready to tell you who does Peter, James, and
-
Jun but also Moses and Elija. First two. Now, after
-
six days, Jesus took Peter, James and John when he
-
went up on a high mountain apart by themselves, and
-
he was transfigured before them. His clothes became shining exceedingly white,
-
like snow, such as no lunderer on earth, and whitened
-
them and Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they
-
were talking with Jesus. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, Rabbi,
-
it is good for us to be here. Let us
-
make three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, and
-
one for Elijah. Because he did not know what to say,
-
for they were greatly afraid. And a cloud came and
-
overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying,
-
this is my beloved son. Hear him. Suddenly, when they
-
looked around, they saw no one anymore, but only Jesus
-
with themselves. Now, as they come down from the mountain,
-
he commanded them that they should tell no one the
-
things that they had seen till the Son of Man
-
had risen from the dead. So they kept this word
-
to themselves, questioning what rising from the dead meant. And
-
they asked him, saying, what do the scribes say that
-
Elijah must come first? Or why describe say Elijah must
-
comes first? Then he answered and said to them, indeed,
-
Elijah is coming first to restore and restores all things.
-
And how is it written concerning the son of Man
-
that he must suffer many things and be treated with contempt?
-
But I say to you that Elijah has also can go,
-
and they did to him whatever they wished, as it
-
is written of him. So your thoughts on this piece.
-
How they they got to give you your excuse?
-
They gave you your excuse. Yes, he didn't know what
-
to He didn't know what to make of it, right,
-
He was confused. They didn't know what to say, and
-
he had to say something, right, so they just start talking. So, yes,
-
you're right. And I'm going to ask you a question
-
right now, now that we're to this part, tell me
-
where was the cloud.
-
In this passage?
-
And this passage where cloud over them? Them? Who Peter?
-
Now there's two different groups of people here, right, there's Jesus,
-
Moses and Elijah. Peter came to John. It says the
-
cloud overshadowed them, but them who everybody?
-
And everybody?
-
This is a question, isn't it?
-
But I know that wouldn't have been over Peter. And
-
at least in this version of the next one, doesn't
-
it say that Peter became afraid because of the cloud.
-
Let's read Verson and a cloud came and overshadowed them,
-
and a voice came out of the cloud. So this
-
version is reading like the cloud overshadowed Elijah, Moses, Jesus,
-
and Peter, James and John couldn't see him anymore. And
-
this this voice comes out of the cloud and makes
-
this proclamation. Which one is it food for thought?
-
Huh?
-
I think it is reading like Peter James Mcjohn was
-
not in the cloud. Okay, So look chapter nine twenty
-
seven through thirty six. This is the shortest version of it.
-
But I tell you that there are some standing here
-
shall not taste death till they see the seat of
-
the King of God. Now it came to pass that
-
eight days, about eight days after these things, he took Peter,
-
John and James and went up to the mountain to pray.
-
Now I think note here it has the prefix it's
-
the mountain, the mountain, as if this mountain.
-
Was no.
-
As he prayed, the appearance of his face was altered,
-
and his robe between white and glistening. And behold, two
-
men talked with him through were Moses and Elijah, who
-
appeared in glory and spoke of his decease, which he
-
was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. But Peter and those
-
with him were heavy with sleep, and when they were
-
fully awake, they saw his glory, and two men stood
-
with them. Then it happened as they were parting from him,
-
that Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for
-
us to be here, and let us make three tabernacles,
-
one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah,
-
not knowing what he said. While he was saying this,
-
a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were fearful.
-
As they entered the cloud, the voice came out of
-
the cloud, saying, this is my beloved son. Hear him.
-
When the voice had deceased, Jesus was found alone. But
-
they kept quiet and told no one in those days
-
of the many things they had seen. Now, what do
-
you think I know? Verse thirty four. While he was
-
saying this, Peter in the middle of him, saying, let
-
us make a tabernacle, one for you Moses logic. While
-
he's saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and
-
they were fearful as they entered the cloud. I say again,
-
who is the they and who's entering the cloud? But
-
says the voice comes out of the cloud, projected toward Peter,
-
James jump the way Jesus.
-
Would either have to be in the cloud or beyond
-
the cloud, because he was covered up.
-
Yes, so they can see Jesus fromatic in the song.
-
So at the end of the day, at the end
-
of the day, it would seem like that Peter, James
-
and John witness time travel, and that time travel. It
-
seems like to me that the cloud must have came
-
when they were not aware of it. It seems like
-
that the cloud the last time cook it will Elijah
-
and Moses. It tunneled them back through time where they
-
were supposed to be. It seems like that when Jesus
-
was overshadowed with this cloud the first time the disciples
-
were asleep, the cloud goes away, leaving Elijah and Moses there.
-
They come to their senses. Oh my goodness, they hear
-
the conversation that's Moses and Elijah. Then this cloud comes
-
back to to tunnel to transfigure time back for Moses
-
and Elangia, and they go back when they're supposed to go.
-
Then boom, the cloud is gone. At the same time
-
that Moses and Elijah is gone, and Jesus has left
-
there alone. It seemed like to me that the cloud
-
was not only transporting Elijah and Moses, through time. It
-
did it twice, and you only conceive one event. So
-
how many times have you heard this that the Transfiguration
-
was a time travel event? Never? Right? But yet it's
-
obvious that how the three disciples knew who it was
-
talking with Jesus because they knew the conversations. Those conversations
-
were well established.
-
I mean, well, he's literally talking about historical people. Yes,
-
so Jee who the son of Nushi Elijah? Yeah, funtions, yes,
-
so like.
-
And even if they just knew their history, that's what
-
I'm saying. I'm saying that they knew who it was
-
based on the conversation. So we do have the last
-
instance of this when Peter talks about this in Second
-
Peter chapter one, verses sixteen through eighteen, and he identifies
-
the mountain where this was as the Holy Mountain. So,
-
reading from Second Peter chapter one, verses sixteen through eighteen,
-
For we did not follow comingly devised fables, when we
-
may known to you the power and coming of our
-
Lord Jesus Christ. But eye witnesses to his majesty. For
-
we received from God, the Father, honor and glory, when
-
such a voice came to him from the Excellent glory.
-
This is my loved son and whom I'm well pleased.
-
And we heard this voice which came from heaven when
-
we were with him on the Holy Mountain. There's only
-
one holy mountain. It's Mount pour that's the mountain of God.
-
So this is it's not coming out and sane. That's
-
what transfiguration takes place. That's true. But here he calls
-
it the Holy Mountain, and whether he meant it was
-
holy due to this event or not is irredant. He
-
identifies it as the Holy Mountain. So it's amazing when
-
you do research and you look to see which was
-
the mountain of transfiguration. They don't know, they will tell you.
-
And if you put two and two together, it's pretty
-
plain that nobody told the disciples who was there. They
-
knew from the conversation. And that's exactly what it repeatedly says,
-
says that Moses and Elijah were talking with Jesus. That's
-
how they knew who they were. So this is definitely
-
a time traveling event. And I think it was the
-
cloud that did the transport, and I think that cloud
-
was an essence of God and the presence of God
-
who Moses Elijah we're talking to, was the little of
-
Jesus Christ. Your thoughts.
-
Jesus can time travel?
-
Jesus can time travel? Yes, the only logical explanation is
-
that Jesus can time travel. But you know, there.
-
Where in the regulation times meet taken?
-
Who like a safe place.
-
Waiting a time trouble?
-
I don't know. Cool, one thing's for sure in this
-
place that is prepared that God talks about. I don't know.
-
I don't know. That's a difficult thing to ask. Good question, though,
-
because that would be the perfect place to take us, right.
-
You just take this to a moment in time where
-
a certain wilderness was never you know, crossed for one
-
thousand and sixty days. God knows when and where that
-
had been happened. It wouldn't be hard to do.
-
Probably are you know, if you did it, probably already
-
made it.
-
Happen, right, right, Because and I like how you put that.
-
You realize if that is the case, it's already happened,
-
and this may very well be white. He says that
-
he will gather us together a second time, So that
-
that's a little off the hook and something we should
-
look at later. That you know, I mentioned that Paul. Paul,
-
Paul saw vision and well it's it's it's questionable what
-
happened you really, you really don't know what happened with Paul.
-
But he saw something and it caused these these scales
-
on his eyes. And what very well could have happened
-
is that he didn't go into the future. He saw
-
into the past. And from the time of the transfiguration
-
until the event this happened with Paul that well turned
-
him from saw to Paul. Could it be that these
-
scales were all the dead cells that had been produced
-
on his eye from the time of the transfiguration through
-
the time he saw the vision. Because he only saw
-
through time, it had that effect on his eyes. In
-
an instant, his eyes had antinually to all the dead cells,
-
with dead cels become scales because he saw for time.
-
He didn't go, He only saw all. That's enough to
-
make you go home, right, So do you think this.
-
The question is was this a vision or did it
-
really happen? Really happened. I didn't say it was a vision,
-
so it happened. The Bible's talking like as if it
-
really happened. So the Lord Jesus Christ, though in verse
-
nine here of Matthew chapter seventeen says tell the vision
-
to no one.
-
They actually sleep and they didn't know it.
-
There we go again. I thought we already discussed all this.
-
So you're saying that when Peter starts talking, hey, let
-
me make a tabernacle for you, he didn't really say it.
-
He said it in his sleep, in sleep talking, so that.
-
I know.
-
Food for thought?
-
Right?
-
Is this the only instance of probable time travel in
-
the Bible here on transfenderation?
-
No?
-
Really? What's the other instances? I did.
-
The one where Jesus went on the.
-
Boat chick opinion, yep, in.
-
John, I didn't say the number which one?
-
I was just trying to guess the book.
-
Yes, And concerning that incident with doubt and faith, we
-
talked about that again today more right, But that's a
-
great mission that it's something is said that shouldn't be there,
-
because there specifically says the eleven is there.
-
There's nothing in the Bible that shouldn't be.
-
In the right. Right, But it is food for thought.
-
And I wonder how many people know about that event
-
because we we did talk that talk about that. The
-
simple fact that when you read the incident of the
-
walking on the water. It is apparent that not everybody
-
that was present was accounted for that that much. That
-
much is true. So let's jump over to Matthew chapter
-
It was twenty eight. Matthew twenty eight. It says something
-
here that you know well. Matthew Chapter twenty eighth, streing
-
and verse sixteen. When the eleven disciples went away to Galilee,
-
to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them, when
-
they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted. So
-
we were discussing yesterday how a lot of the disciples
-
left him when he said you must, you know, eat
-
my flesh and drink my blood. They're like, we can't,
-
we can't follow anymore. And some of the disciples left,
-
and reading the text makes you wonder what's going on.
-
But here you find out that knows some of even
-
the eleven here are still dowing. So let me finish,
-
because that's important now that I've pointed that out. And
-
Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all the fury
-
had been given to me in heaven and on earth.
-
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
-
in the name of the Father of the Son and
-
the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that
-
I've commanded you. And lo, I'm with you always, even
-
to the end of the age. So some of these
-
eleven disciples were doubting. Still as impossible as that seems,
-
that's what this just said.
-
So, but doubting does not mean stray away.
-
True, it doesn't mean strained. It doesn't mean they fell away.
-
But they were definitely dying. So which mountain do you
-
think is mentioned here? Because once again it doesn't tell
-
you when the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to
-
the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them, where nobody knows.
-
Nobody knows who it's at.
-
I wonder if.
-
Good question, all right, everybody, you ready to pray out
-
of here?
-
No?
-
Okay, our Father, which are in heaven, How would be
-
thy name, thy kingdom? Come? And that will be done
-
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this
-
day or daily bread, and forgive us our trust passes,
-
as we forgive those who have trustpassed against us. And
-
lead us not into temptation, but deliveratives from evil. For
-
yours is the kingdom, the power in the glory forever. Amen.
-
With that, ladies and gentlemen, the next time, God bless
-
God speed at the Easter. Yes at the Easter.
